Why would Noble sign for a club that will go straight back down rather than stay with a club that will go straight back up as champions and be fighting for a Europa place in season 12-13 unser big Sam and playing in a class stadium rather than Loftus Road 1st division club ground not even a Championship or Premier league ground. No ridiculous rubbish please - stuff from the Daily Mail and your own imaginations:
I do not work at Arsenal, I just hang around there as much as I can and report on stuff that I see or hear.
I have heard from many people that Nasri wants to leave / is leaving; though my own reports and thoughts are that he wants to stay - and is using his contract negotiation situations to hurry along any transfer dealing to force the club to make their moves.
I think he will resign on a long term deal within the next 3 weeks. Also there is talk of Cesc going, and now he has gottin 'injured' coincidentally before going out to Asia people are saying he is a goner - again my own reports and thoughts on this disagree.
Cesc no doubt wants to go but people forget he is contracted to the club for the foreseeable future, and keeping in mind that Barca have already spent money that they don't have any move seems unlikely.
So:
Nasri - pretty sure is staying
Cesc - 50/50 but nodding towards staying one more term
Gervinho - I think he is wearing the number 12 now :)
Mata - Heard nothing noteable don't see him coming
Benzema - Nasri is trying to entice the club to buy him
Other rumours which carry some weight with me are:
Samba - 50/50 we will sign this one up
Cahill - Unlikely though would be a great signing
When the dust settles (like every other year) people will realise how astute the club are, and that (like every other year) we will continue to punch it with the other big clubs challenging for the top honours.
Maybe with a few fresh faces and our spine back uninjured we can go a step further. Wenger seems almost angry and very focused on succeeding this coming season where in the past we have fallen short.
I am optimistic we will improve again as we did last season; notwithstanding the last gasp bit after losing to Birmingham in the cup(7)(6)

Darlington striker Michael Smith is on trial at Premier League club Stoke City.
The 19-year-old has joined last season s FA Cup finalists for a two-week period in which he is hoping to impress the Potters.
Smith is currently with Stoke s development squad who are based for a few days in Bournemouth while the first team are at a training camp in Austria.
Smith is due to join in with first team training when Tony Pulis squad return to Staffordshire

I have been a Leeds season ticket holder for 30 years and am not one to jump on bandwagons but the time has come for Bates to go. He has no real interest in the club and without question only bought us when he did to line his pockets in the future. He will not release significant funds for players but is happy to do so on the corporate side because this will add value when he eventually sells. Simon Grayson has done a magnificent job working under his regime and would have taken us to the premiership last season if only Bates had backed him with some money. Loan signings are not the answer nor are most freebies we are looking at. Good luck this season Simon because you will need it. The league is much stronger than last season and I believe us loyal fans paying top dollar will be forced into watching meaningless mid table games. We've no chance of competing with the others. iam a bristol city fan, and i have to say in my opinion nicky maynard is the best striker we have had in resent years.since 2009-11 app 55 goals 26 not forgetting the latter part 2010 he was carring an injury, and having most of last season out after an opperation.if you compare this to andy cole(who went on to win champions league) app 42 goals 20 there is not much differece between them.nicky maynard has a massive future.city sold andy cole on the cheap to newcastle with no sell on clause included, and i believe this is the reason there holding out for more money with nicky maynard(once bitten twice shy)but leicesters financial backing it seems its only a matter of time.if anyone suggests hes not good enough or worth silly money you are wrong as maynards future lies at the highest level. {Ed014's Note - Forest made an offer too.}(18)(4)

As a Leicester fan, I don't think we're paying silly money for players, with the possible exception of Mills who is good, but £5m+ sounds like a lot of money. Other signings have all ben very reasonable fees. Reference Maynard and all those Bristol fans making comments, you can keep him for the kinds of money you're talking about, I don't think he's going to be good enough at Leicester anyway.
