Some American football journalists I am connected with inform me that Aberdeen is currently trialing towering American defender David Horst.

To the person who said that Valencia will be sold to Arsenal, that is just ridiculous.

You are right about Chamakh, The deal is pretty much done. Unless somebody leaves or there is a really serious injury Arsenal can now stop worrying about FW. A central defender, a defensive mid, and a GK are what they need.

Lloris the french no1 will be bid for in the region of £18mil, he is a fantastic talent, and commands his box well, cech will be sold if he does not improve, Barcelona will sign him for £27mil. Ribery will be signed for £45mil. And finally another top class cf will sign, either Bent £16mil or 1st choice Adebayor, who ancelloti rates and wants to combine with anelka and drogba and having 3 world class strikers, he will sign for £20mi+ballack.
Di Santo, cork, bertrand, aanholt, hutchinson, mancienne will go on loan for another season to perm sides, whilst sinclair and stoch will be sold abroad for £7.5mil to FC Twente

BREAKING NEWS AT UPTON PARK..

Zola to be relieved of managerial duties, following a fall–out with the owners.

Mark Hughes to take over on a 2.5 year deal.

Also have some news on potential candidates for the vacancy @ Bradford.

Jim Harvey is interested, but is not among the front–runners. Dean Windass is on the list but has limited experience as a coach/manager so this could count against him.

Gary McAllister could be an outside bet, but he would prefer a League 1/Championship club. That said, the Bradford job would give him a way back into management and most people know that the club is a sleeping giant. Don't rule out David Wetherall either – he is well thought of at Valley Parade and could be a good appointment given the financial situation.

All of these silly Arsenal rumours are too much. Wenger will not be buying much this summer. He will try to get Chamakh on the free, and will have to bring in a central defender. Also if a really special GK comes along he will buy. Otherwise he will bring up more youth next year and will buy more young players to develop.

They will also do very little selling.

All the people that come on here with rediculous rumours really cheese me off!!

Liverpool fans – get over yourselves!! Your club is riddled with debt and you can't even afford to get rid of that fat spanish waiter! I've been hearing on here and in the media for months that new investment is coming in..so far.. nothing.. having a glorious past is great for those with it but it is exactly that.. the past!!

Arsenal fans – your club is in serious danger of being left behind in the next few years by the likes of Man City, Spurs, Villa, Man Utd and Chelsea.

Man Utd fans – it's easy to see that your club and heirarchy are really starting to take City seriously as threat, rightly so. yes you are still, at the moment the best club in the country, but for how long is anyone's guess.

Chelsea fans – well actually you guys and gals are actually quite realistic so enough said!!

These are some rumours that are doing the rounds at the moment:

Arsenal – INS: Marouane Chamakh (said he wants to sign and he'll be on the cheap if not free!!), Stephen Ireland (unbeliveably will be surplus to requirements and Eastlands), Diego Lopez (GK from Villarreal), Ryan Shawcross. Wenger will also sign some talanted youngsters. OUTS: William Gallas (causing some unrest in the changing room, possibly heading to Juventus) There will be some loan deals for the younger players but at this time not sure of who and where. POTENTIAL TOTAL SPEND – £25million

Chelsea – INS: Sergio Aguero, Bruno Alves. OUTS: Joe Cole (Man City are interested and can pay the wages and give him first team football), Alex (potential target for Juventus), Juliano Belletti (expect him to move to a smaller english club i.e Blackburn). POTENTIAL TOTAL SPEND – £27million

Man Utd – INS: Givanildo Vieira de Souza (HULK to you and me, Fergie is looking to push Giggs into a more central role due to his brilliant passing and vision), Giorgio Chiellini (face a tough battle with City for his signature), Luis Fabiano (Fergie wants the best strike force in the league and will start Rooeny with Fabiano). OUTS: Anderson (moving to somewhere else in europe possibly Italy), Nemanja Vidic (it's set in stone for the move to Real Madrid), Nani (again europe is likely destination possibly Valencia). POTENTIAL TOTAL SPEND – £25million

Liverpool – INS (based on the investment actually coming in): Mata, Capdevilla, Farfan an Santa Cruz. OUTS: Babel, Degen, Aurelio. POENTIAL TOTAL SPEND – £27million

Man City – INS: Firstly expect Joes Mourinho to take the reigns at Eastlands (notice how only 2 players brought in during January – Vieira on a 6months deal, and Adam Johnson – a playe Mourinho identified almost a year ago as a potential for Inter Milan). IF City get one of the top four spots (at the expense of liverpool) expect rediculous bids for : Leo Messi (City will meet his buy–out clause of £240million), Torres, Gerrard and Mascherano (combined value of £175million). Also expect bids for Taye Taiwo or Phillip Lahm, Sergio Ramos, Giorgio Chiellini, Joe Cole, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Pepe, Villa and Silva. OUTS: Benjani, Ireland, Garrido, Petrov, Caicedo. POTENTIAL TOTAL SPEND – with rediculous bids – £550million, Without rediculous bids – £150million.

Some of the above rumours are very dependant on the respective clubs final league position. One of the biggest of the summer will be that of Frank Ribery – I did not mention this above as all the above clubs are interested. Ribery will cost approx £55million. So the im sure you can work out who that leaves in the race along with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter Milan.

Happy Reading and lets keep the rumours realistic!

There have been several rumours regarding the possibility of Billy Davies leaving Nottingham Forest. On Saturday night Billy spent 3 hours with Nigel Doughty regading his position at the club and the fact that his hands are tied by the lack lustre transfer panel.Mr Doughty promptly responded by relieving John Pelling of his role on the board and giving life long friend Mark Arthur a slap on the wrist for failing to secure the services of players identified to the panel by Billy in November 2009.Although Billy has now publicly stated that he will not dip into the loan market, he will.March will see the arrival of a couple of old heads at the City Ground.Billy wishes to bring in a couple of premiership bruisers to sturdy the midfield.Mark Arthur will be leaving the City Ground for a job with the F.A in the summer. To be fair to Mark, he has had a bit of stick when it was not his fault.John Pelling on the other hand was responsible for the cock up and has had the job of signing cheques taken away from him.Radoslaw Majewski will sign a 3 1/2 year deal very soon.So do not worry yourself about the derby nonsense.

1st thing is 1st.Senderos won't be sold for 6million because his contract is up the summer and because he realy wants to leave Arsenal he won't be signing a new 1 so will leave on the free!
Some transfers that may go through in the summer..
Arsenal–Everyone knows they are in the market for a new goalkeeper and the favourites are Neuer Lloris and Akinfeev.Thou these 3 are also linked with Man Utd.If Joe Hart is englands number 1 in the world cup Arsenal could make a bid for him depending on how he plays on the biggest stage.Gary Cahill and Martin Caceres are being watched by Arsenal scouts. After losing to Madrid in trying to get Canales and Eden Hazard signing a new contract extension at Lille it looks like only big money will prize him away now AW could turn his attension to EPL experience and Ashley Young and Fellaini are targets to bring in.It looks accourding to papers that chamakh wiil go to arsenal but i would expect AW to go for Dzeko or David Villa but could be priced out of Villa as he won't be paying 35–40million for a 28 year old but if Villa does go to Madrid Gonzalo Higuain could be a big target for Arsenal.

SUMMER OUTS:

Manuel Almunia (£3million), Philippe Senderos (£6million), William Gallas (Free), Sol Campbell (Free), Mikael Silvestre (Free), Armand Traore (£4million), Denilson (£6million), Carlos Vela (Loan) + possibly Eduardo (£10million)

LFC NEWS – I've just heard that there is a problem between Benitez and Aquillani and that Rafa is planning on selling him in the summer for £16M. Apparently Juventus are interested in Aquillani and not Skrtel and a deal was being negotiated last month. Wait for this news to break.

Expect a few changes at The Emirates over the summer as Arsene Wenger will have 1 final crack @ some silverware, before potentially standing down as manager.
The goalkeeping position is in obvious need of strengthening, Manuel Almunia is not up to the required standard, and whilst Lukasz Fabianski has show glimpses of quality, his form has also been quite erratic. Almunia will leave for Osasuna and Lukasz Fabianski will join Sevilla for 2m and 6m respectively. Either Joe Hart for 5m or Manuel Neuer for 10m will come in as the number 1. Mannone is seen as an able backup for whoever is signed.
Whilst having a talented set of defensive individuals, Le Prof is worried about the lack of cohesion in defence. He doesn't see them as a strong unit. He will base the new look defence on the old model of Dixon – Keown – Adams – Winterburn. Cesar Azpilicueta will join from Osasuna for around 7m, followed by either Gary Cahill from Bolton for 12m or Mahamdou Sakho from PSG for 10m and finally, the young Serbian Stefan Savic will complete a 2.25m transfer from BSK. Phillipe Senderos, Sol Campbell and Mikhail Silvestre will all leave when their contracts expire. Armand Traore will sign for Marseille in a deal worth around 4m. The surprises will be that Wenger will sell William Gallas to Lyon for 3m and Bacary Sagna to Real Madrid, as he is unhappy with the progression of the latter Frenchman.
There will only be 1 change in midfield where Denilson will be sold to Valencia for 7.5m and Moussa Sissoko of Toulouse will replace him for 8m. Along with Fabregas and Song, Wenger feels there are good options in the form of Diaby, Nasri, Rosicky, Ramsey and the up and coming Eastmond and Coquelin. Fran Merida will also leave and join Atletico Madrid on a free transfer when his contract expires.
Finally, in attack, Marouane Chamakh will join on a free transfer when his contract with Bordeaux ends, then Lacine Traore will sign from Cluj for 3m. Both these will add a much needed physical and ariel threat to the Arsenal forward–line.
Carlos Vela will be allowed out on a season long loan to get some playing time, and Eduardo will replace the soon to be departing David Villa at Valencia, in a 10m deal.

Why is this page full of silly arrogant people? Yes Man utd are in debt, Yes they will not be buying 8 new players costing around 100m this summer as people are stating, but to say they will not be strengthening the squad at all in the summer unless they sell because utd are in debt is pathetic, ever since the Glazers took over utd have been in debt, but the Glazers have paid out 31m for Berbatov, 35m for Anderson & Nani, 10m on Tosic, 16m on Valencia and 3m on Obertan, which all happened before this season started, and guess what? they have just paid out 10m on smalling so don't talk rubbish, there is money to spend in the summer, Fergie has said that himself and proved it with the signing of smalling. Utd have a MINIMUM of 20m to spend every summer, plus they have pretty much sold Tosic this summer, so they will have a bare minimum of 20m and that's the worst possible scenario FACT! i wouldn't be surprised if they still have some of the Ronaldo fee to play around with just as Fergie has stated on numerous occasions!

Ins, Neuer(10m), Rodwell(15m), Maybe Di Maria?

Out, Foster(6m), Gray(500k), Tosic(5m), Macheda(5m), Owen(2m)

09 Feb 2010 12:55:48
UNITED do not need to try and keep Rooney, he has stated on many occasions that hes staying put, so please can YOU!! stop the bullsT United news!

United will sign Jack Rodwell, a keeper & a left winger/forward. Expect 5 or 6 to leave this summer.

09 Feb 2010 12:56:51
Nearly every day we get reports about Philippe Sylvain Senderos signing for Everton at the end of the season. He is on loan but we can sign him for free as he will be out of contract

Time will tell Rodwell done deal but standby for Moyles to take over from SAF in the very near future, no secret to those in the inner circle.

The names Defour & Jovetic keep cropping up when iv inquired about UTD.

09 Feb 2010 13:11:29
Huh, papers reporting this morning that Barca & Sevilla are weighing up a possible bid for Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra in the summer due to his quality performances for Rangers & Algeria in the African nations. Why ever would a team like Barca want anything to do with a player from the Scottish league?? No doubt Bob the Ned will have some ridiculously arrogant response to this post.

Liverpool Summer Targets
RB–Degen to leave for £2m so probably Torosidis for £5.5m.
CB– Martin Skrtel is going to Italy and Rafa wants to replace him with someone English. James Tomkins is being targeted and is Rafa's No1 choice. He wants someone young but with Prem experience and Tomkins fits the bill. A bid of £8m will be enough to prise the starlet away from West Ham
LB– Big names are being mentioned at Anfield for the left back position, especially with Fabio Aurelio leaving at the end of the season. Taye Taiwo, Aleksandar Kolarov and Christian Ansaldi are all being linked with Liverpool so any of them could join for around £10m.
LW– Juan Mata wants out of Valencia and Liverpool are ready to welcome him with open arms. £16.5m will be the fee and he will be Liverpool's big buy this summer.
ST–Milan Jovanovic is expected to sign with Liverpool in the coming days for free but Rafa could also sign another striker to boost his strikeforce, but that would mean the end of Ryan Babel, but that was inevitable anyway. Edinson Cavani is the name that is popping up around Anfield. £10m the fee.
Liverpool will have the money to sign these players with the guaranteed money they get each summer plus sales, and there could be a lot of them.

09 Feb 2010 12:36:22
Possible return to Elland Road for Olivier Dacourt. Has had his contract at Standard Liege terminated and is available on a free transfer – has apparantly said he would like to finish his career at Leeds United!

09 Feb 2010 09:32:16
To the gooner who claims arsenal will sign mexes, chiellini, hazard, villa etc etc.

mate the list of players you have posted would cost over £150million. you think wenger and the arsenal board are gona go on a spree for that amount?

Also why would they move to arsenal? what you gona win this season? wot have you won the last 4 seasons and next 4 seasons? NOTHING

Dream on mate you won't sign any of these players and you will really struggle next season as Villa, Spurs and Man City pushing you for top 4. You will also lose your main man Cesc.

Real Rumours i have heard:

Rodwell to O/T is well documented and if Fergie really really wants him he will get him. Agbonlahor also being looked at as has huge potential, at RB Van Er Weil of Ajax is a hot prosopect. SAF growing very worried tho as has not got a contingency plan in place for when giggs and scholes retire. Truth is he may well do so aswell.

Summer –

Birmingham – Robbie Keane
Sunderland – Hutton
City – Jerome Boateng, Nilmar, Yaya Toure
Barca – Fabregas, Neymar

After the lack of premier league goals this season and the injury to Chucho during the birmingham wolves derby Mcleish has said that in the summer he will be looking for another striker. In his sights he has Nigerian goal machine Osaze Odemwingie. Mcleish has said that "he has all the attributes of Chucho but is a natural goal scorer which is what we need if we want to cement our position as a top ten Premier league club in the future".

Derby are going to snatch Raddy majewski right from under forest noses.

It's no secret Raddy has had his head turned by two Premiership teams, but Derby lol? I think not.

He's already expressed his longing to stay at the CG, but the deal is currently stalling over unpaid monies from Polonia Warsaw that they want Forest's deal to cover, despite already having a permanent deal in writing. This stalemate is what's distracted Raddy and the reason BD dropped him for the Sheff Weds game. He'll be back against Cov tonight as the board have finally decided to up their game and he'll be announced as a red Thursday along with (hopefully!!) either J–Lloyd Samuel or Richard De Laet coming in at LB, both clubs are in talks with Forest today looking to do a deal asap. The 93 day rule isn't worrying BD as he has Julian Bennett up his sleeve for an earlier than expected return.

Arsenal news:
A pre–contract agreement with Marouane Chamakh is nearing fruition. expect to hear confirmation within 2 weeks. deals are also on the table for the summer transfers of Savic and Sakho, with Zapata and Subotic possible alternatives. Savic would command a fee of around £3m as the Montenegren young player of the year. Sakho will cost around £10m. Wenger will assess the performances of Song, Denilson and Eastmond before deciding whether the DCM position needs strengthening. We've all seen Eastmond has potential but it is not ready yet, and Denilson is no good in the DCM position. therefore expect a DCM to come in. names being bandied around include Matuidi, de Rossi and Witsel, but its only rumours and speculation atm. up front, Wenger is also considering whether to move for Wolfsburg's Dzeko. of course he would command a fee of over £10m and has generated interest from many of Europe's elite teams. Some youngsters will undoubtedly arrive, with Raheem Sterling top of the list. With J Simpson currently at QPR a swap deal seems likely as Simpson has had a successful spell there. Hazard will not come in as he is happy at Lille.
A GK is a top priority, that's obvious. Neuer, Akinfeev, Lloris, Hart and Green have been suggested: Hart will move to Birmingham and Akinfeev will be too expensive. Green would be likely if West Ham went down (i like them, so i hope they stay up), but neuer and Lloris fit the bill.
Leaving for sure will be Silvestre, Campbell, Merida and Senderos all on free transfers. Almunia may also walk for about £3m. A lot has been said on this site about Eduardo and Denilson walking. I don't think Eduardo would leave permanently, maybe a loan deal for a season may be better so he can rediscover his form. As for Denilson, I personally believe he has been poor, despite having a good spell in fornt of goal. He is not up to the standards of Diaby, Fabregas, Rosicky, Nasri and even Ramsey, so i wouldn't be heartbroken to see him move on, especially as he would fetch around £6–8m.
recap:
GK: out Almunia, in Lloris, Neuer or Green
Defence: out Senderos, Silvestre, Campbell, in Sakho, Savic, Nordtveit (loan return).
DCM: out maybe Denilson, in Witsel/Matuidi
Mid: out merida, in nobody.
STR: out Eduardo (loan), in Chamakh, maybe Dzeko.

Believe.

THIS IS FACT!! As told by someone INVOLVED in the financial side of the deal.

LFC has been sold! The process will take upto two months but expect announcements about more sponsorship, naming rights etc.in the next four weeks. Christian Purslow will stay as MD and Rafa will also stay. Also expect at least ONE shock announcement very soon.

H&G will stay on BUT WITH REDUCED HOLDINGS – no more than 10% each! The new OWNERS (plural) have already guaranteed the funds for Stanley Park (the local council demanded it) and the debt has been wiped (although there will be more debt because of the stadium) Expect a solid, gradual process and NO there will not be any MAN Citeh type mega–spending. However there WILL be huge funds if required, for the right players. Heard it here first REDS!

And today news stories about Indians taking over from Cowboys at LFC. Not going to happen. Not with both of them. The identity of LFC's new owners (plural) in under tight wraps and my contact has confirmed that they don;t wnat to make this public. HOWEVER – everyone at board level and Rafa KNOW IT@S HAPPENING. AS I said a few days ago – expect a LOT of LFC news in the next four weeks or so. A LOT!

Fabregas has decided that Arsenal are miles away from competing with Man Utd and Chelsea and has turned down a new contract with Arsenal. He will definitely be moving to Barcelona in a 40 million pound deal. Arsenal will not sign a big name replacement as Wenger feels that Ramsey can make a bigger impact next year. The money will go towards other areas of the squad

09 Feb 2010 01:30:13
AFC Arsene Wenger has already identified his signings for this summer.Marouane Chamakh will arrive from Bordeaux and Stefan Savic will arrive from Serbia. The surprise could be the signing of Igor Akinfeev from CSKA Moscow as Wenger has realised that Almunia is not up to the job.

Man Utd News:
Nemanja Vidic will be moving on in the summer to either Barcelona or Real Madrid, but heres the surprise very little or no money will be going to Man Utd the deal will be a swap deal so that the glaziers can't take any money made from the deal. if he goes to Barca then expect Gabriel Milito and Yaya Toure to come to United if he goes to Real Madrid expect Ezequiel Garay and Fernando Gago to be at united. Theres an outside chance of Karim Benzema being involved with the Madrid deal but it depends on how things pan out between now and the summer(if he comes good in spain)

You can forget about Eden Hazard coming to Arsenal. He's signed a new contract with Lille and believes his development is served best for the time being in France. Maybe in 2 to 3 years.

Don't expect Wenger to be active in the transfer market this summer. He may try to bring in Chamakh and will certainly have to sign a quality central defender. The rest of the signings will be more youth. The only way he will spend big and be active is if somebody really good (i.e. Van Persie or Fabregas) demand a transfer.

Liverpool to wrap up the Jovanovic deal on the weekend. He has agreed a 3 year deal worth £10m. Juan Mata has also agreed a deal with Liverpool for the summer. His transfer would cost £16m.
