""Callum melville will have to sell dundee by the summer, or else the club will be wound up and demoted to div 3." - Callum Melville does not own Dundee. He owns no shares at all.

So he's just bankrolling them without the promise of shares/ stake in the company?

Just asking, because that is what I heard. They're going to 'do a Livingston' if they can't sell the club or get fresh investment."

- Well that could be true but Melville does not own any shares. Dundee do owe some money in 'soft loans' to him. I agree that the situation is very strange and he is probably up to something else. One theory someone suggested was that the whole administration thing is a personal battle between Brannan and Melville. Any money Melville puts in is spent by Brannan and he is finding that frustrating. Also the reason Livingston were relegated to the third division is because the SFL asked their administrator if the club could definitely fulfill all 38 fixtures. The administrator said no so they were placed in the third division as the financial hit on clubs is less there than in the first and the league can easily compensate other teams on gate money. There is a possibility of that happening as well but I thing that is very very unlikely. Maybe if administration come a bit later though. My feeling is that Bennett and Melville will be in control of Dundee together come the end of the season. Only real rumour I have heard though is that the administrator has arranged a meeting with Barry Smith and Jim Duffy to discuss a new management team.(0)(2)

Re: "Rafael Van Der Vaart is unhappy at Tottenham Hotspour because of their long-ball tactic when Peter Crouch plays and is thought to believe he thinks he has taken a step-down to move to Spurs"

Van Der Vaart, may well think he has taken a step down in joining Spurs and why not? Real Madrid is about as high as you can go in club football. Almost any other club would be a step down. However, I seriously doubt that he is unhappy.

He is playing regularly, is scoring goals and his stock is rising again after being a bench-warmer in Madrid.

As for Tottenham's style - the long high ball is not the way we like to play, although it is sometimes used when we are under pressure. I don't know who posted this but I seriously doubt he is one of Van Der Vaart's confidants.

{Edi's Note - in reply to this, Tottenham do seem to be using 'long ball tactics' more often this year, not just when 'under pressure' but i suppose the manager thinks that works best for his team}(9)(33)

Regardless of the score on saturday, peter taylor will quit as bradford boss.

this is because he has a job within the fa lined up.

the new bradford boss will 80% be martin allen, however if he goes to walsall then david penney will take over at valley parade.

my source works in the office next to mark lawn.

This backs up what I've heard, so can guarantee it's 100% true.

Martin Allen is more likely to head to Walsall, with Steve Tilson going to Lincoln, Jim Harvey to Hereford and David Penney to Bradford.(14)(18)
