cardiff are interested in signing blackburn full back martin olsson and wigan's callum mcmanaman if they go down.

Would love to sign ollson and that argentian right back

I have close freinds at Chelsea FC and I can guarantee that Mourinho is definitely NOT returning there, this summer. He is, however, returning to manage in England. With Sir Alex, retiring, a deal has already been made, a few weeks ago, to secure his successor. Part of said deal, was conducted in Spain. it's pretty obvious who's going to take over at Old Trafford, by the end of the season :)

2 very good players & would help cardiff stay in the prem.

Yes please!

07 May 2013 23:04:53
Sir Alex considering on retiring by the end of the week I think it is because he needs a hip operation. Likely favourite sadly for Everton fans like me is David Moyes

Callum EFC

08 May 2013 08:24:47
Maybe Moyes will become Fergies 'Understudy' for a Season? Who'd be favourite to take over at Everton. Surely not G. Neville??

steve cotterill new manager of millwall

The talk down at millwall is that richard shaw will be back as new manager

07 May 2013 22:24:26
Burnley have been in talks with Motherwell about Keeper Darren Randolph, Burnley recently released veteran goalkeeper Brian Jensen and also Lee Grant joined Derby County. A deal should be completed by the end of this week.

Burnley today signed a keeper from Whitby Town (cant remember his name) I assume as a number 2 or 3

Nick liversedge

07 May 2013 21:53:36
Shrewsbury Town are to sign Burton Albion pair Jacques Maghoma and Calvin Zola for cash + Asa Hall in the later part of this week or early next week.

Shrewsbury are going to have about 200 players in their squad by the start of next season.

Zola and Maghoma are both out of contract for a start. So why would Shrewsbury give player and money. Get your facts right first.

We need all the players we can at the moment

That must be the 10th club that's signing Calvin Zola, I know he's a big guy, but not that big that he can go to 10 clubs

He turned down a loan a few years ago but wants to sign this time because burton didn't get promoted

Maghoma has already agreed a deal to sign for Middlesbrough

All wrong, both Maghoma and Zola are currently considering contract extensions at Burton.

Can see Zola at Shrewsbury if we were to offer a good enough contract (which we hardly ever do!) Don't think we'll go for maghoma though

What a lot of rubbish!
I know both Maghoma and Zola personally and I can tell you that none of them will be signing for Burton.
Fact!

Mate they play for burton. FACT

You mean there not signing new contracts

Sir Alex Ferguson considering retiring as Manchester United manager before end of the week

Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United future was shrouded in doubt on Tuesday night with the Scot understood to be giving serious consideration to ending his 26-year reign as manager.

Possible, he, s got to have an op in august and there has been a lot of money on moyes in the last 48 hours?

07 May 2013 21:30:41
Kilmarnock set sign to Scotland & Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon

07 May 2013 20:52:22
Chris Wilder to become Sheffield Uniteds new manager after lengthy talks on Tuesday. Should be officially announced Wednesday morning

Hope so. we can move on then. Good luck to Sheffield United for the new season

07 may 2013 20:28:16
signing to be announced tomorrow!
rotherham complete the signing of striker jason walker.
it will be announced at noon tomorrow.

Even the player has said rotherham have not made a move for him!

Hope not.
York released him whoch just shows he's not even good enough for a relagation League 2 team, nevermind a League 1 team pushing for promotion.
Hes awful.

Bristol city to sign Swindon trio wes foderingham, aden flint and andy Williams. There is also a trio on there way out of ashton gate with skuse joining Ipswich, stead joining leeds and heaton joining burnley from a source close to city!

Fodringham still has a year on his contract so a fee big at that will be needed, listen to wes yesterday he is happy to stay for another year, he is not on massive money can't see that one happening, Williams you can have him for free no goals in 11 games we will pay for his bus fare, Aden flint 50/50 great in the air can't play and distribution is awful nice lad though, it will be tough for Bristol trying to adapt in league 1 especially having to ship out all the big earners, it's not an easy league.

We will never ever sign Stead. Adomah I'd take though.

Would be stunned if City took 3 players from any one side, would be particularly suprised if it was Swindon.

Davies set for reading £400,000
stead going huddersfield - free.
cunningham going derby £250,000
adomah target palace and leeds and middlesborogh 1.2 million, skuse ipswich free

Flint is trying to push through a move to Bournemouth

Skuse signing for Ipswich and Stead back up north, Huddersfield most likely! Davies can go for that, top scorer but brings nothing else to the side! As for Cunningham, a bright spark this season despite relegation! My player of the season in all honesty! He would command a much higher fee than 250,000! Will be a premier league left back in a few years no doubt

Flint trying to push a move to Bournemouth? That's funny he has just be retained by the club strange that! Only surprise for players being released is Simon ferry and tommy miller would of like to see Navarro go as he is on big money, wes has a year to run on his current contract and I believe he is happy to stay.

07 May 2013 20:19:28
Middlesbroughs first piece of business this summer will be simion Jackson and chris solly in. They will also aim to have their zemamma + haroun + 200k for albert adomah rapped up before the 1st of july

08 May 2013 08:55:25
If Chris Solly leaves he will want to move forward not backwards.

Great bit of business if we can get it done but it would require bristol to value zemamama and haroun at a combined £800,000.

If only

How is it a step backward? You crank!

07 May 2013 19:43:26
Carlisle interested in Jordan Cook and Mark Duffy, seen as replacements for Loy and McGovern who have been released, Ed, have you heard any Carlisle rumours, cheers, {Ed003's Note - Not yet mate,I would expect speculation to increase once all the retained/released lists start coming through this week from all the FL clubs}

JP Mcgovern will sign for Rotherham, he almost signed for the last august, and as he has been released there will be no fee.

Would welcome both Jordan cook would fit into the formation very well, and mark duffy would be a good winger to replace McGovern he could not be any slower.

Mcgovern is the only midfielder we had with a bit of class

07 May 2013 19:35:19
Huddersfield Town are looking at Lewin Nyatanga from Bristol City and Syvlan Ebanks-Blake from Wolves plus there monitoring Nathaniel Mendez- Laing from Peterborough

Excellent - I've seen Hudders twice this season and man they need to strengthen their team to stay up next year. Not sure if taking 3 players who got relegated this year is the answer unless of course your looking for League 1 next year.

So you must of seen us outplay cardiff twice do the double over half dozen teams and be in play off contention until mid november. thort not town will be no where near bottom 3 nxt yr wouldn't of been this year if it wasnt for graysons nightmare run
true terrier

:-)

I hope you are not going down but really do you want players who got us relegated?

cohen free? he's not out of contract

Chris Cohen signed a 3 and a half year deal with Forest in October 2012. You won't get him free.

07 May 2013 21:07:47
Chris Cohen to Leeds no chance!
Billy boy rates Cohen, he's a first teamer every week, so dream on!

Just one problem, never heard of tiago Gomez from Birmingham {Ed003's Note - you wont have he plays for B'pool}

Are you serious! Pearce is going to go to liverpool and you won't get mcanuff for 300k

Matt Phillips is going nowhere for free he has had his contract extended

Shotton won't be free.
He is worth £2.5 million

. but you can definitely have Simon Church for free. ;-)

Gomez plays for blackpool {Ed003's Note - is it true he has a pet seagull? }

Do you mean Morgaro Gomis who is available from Birmingham on a free?

Matt phillips has gone to crystal palace

Preston already stated they cannot afford the wages of Paul Connolly.

08 May 2013 14:41:47
McAnuff will be more like 1.5m not 300k and Pearce won't reject a contract with Reading, Liverpool, Newcastle, West brom all to join leeds, only if you pay the 50k he wants. Not a chance

Shotton is out of contract

Matt Phillips is NOT available on a free

Kevin Phillips went to Palace on loan from Blackpool.
If you know nothing then don't bother posting crap

Why post such crap? people seem to think everyone is free, get your facts straight first. Matty Phillips has signed for Palace, really? that's odd as he has a year option on his contract, what a strange decision to let a promising young player go for free when he would demand compensation even if he was out of contract because he's under 24

McAnuff won't be leaving for 300k, let alone to a championship rival. And Pearce won't join you.

Deluded Leeds fan thinking they're a big club

Pearce going to liverpool and church going to millwall

Michael Brown probably hasn't even heard of Gillingham.

07 May 2013 19:26:18
Walsall are chasing the signature of released Birmingham midfielder Morgaro Gomis, Gomis had only played 31 games in 2 years for city before his release, before he joined city he played for Dundee Utd, Cowdenbeath and Lewes

07 May 2013 19:13:44
Kilmarnock talk Brazil duo player for Nathan Bordignon and Sergio Paulista after end of season.

07 May 2013 19:19:49
Heard a few whispers regarding Preston:
David Worral -Bury
Steven Schumacher -Bury
Lee Novak -Huddersfield
Matt Greene -Mansfield
Scott Arfield -Huddersfield (released)
Keith Southern -Huddersfield
Declan Rudd - Loan from Norwich

Obviously not all as SG has said he doesn't want to do too much business in the Summer market. Possibly 3/4 of them?

07 May 2013 21:10:39
I can see the 2 lads from bury joining also rudd and a striker

I disagree. Schuey maybe, but Worrall can do better, no offence.

If Worrall could be at a better club how could he have been part of a team that just got relegated. if he was too good for Preston he'd have had more of an influence in Bury's league season

He had a great influence to our season. He played in 4 different positions throughout, 2 being in defence. And he's contracted to us, maybe nobody wants to pay our asking price. Blackburn were planning a £1m towards the end of last season apparently.

07 May 2013 19:03:10
The much talked about Neville family take over of Bury FC will happen within the next 2 weeks.
The man in the driving seat will be Neville Neville while the bulk of the money will come from his sons Gary and Phil.
The latter will become manager after a swansong season as player/coach.
You heard it here first on Football Rumours.

What about Barry Neville the 3rd brother why is he not involved in the deal. {Ed003's Note - Him and Tracey are going to work in the ticket office,nice cushty job shouldn't be to busy ;) }

Don't believe me that Barry Neville is real then google it he's a football agent who represents teddy sheringham and Martin known {Ed003's Note - Who said they don't believe you? }

Ed have you been ******** Tracey on the sly because I didn't know there was a Neville sister and I've heard your married ed so shame on you {Ed003's Note - How you have heard I'm married is beyond me but no I haven't, but anyone with any sporting knowledge would know about Tracey Neville.}

Gary and Phil ARE investing in Bury

Whether Phil fancies cutting his teeth in a very friendly environment is a different matter altogether

Fingers crossed they will invest not seen anything concrete yet a lot of eluding to it though

Tracey was a well known netball player by the way! {Ed001's Note - England international in the sport.}

Davie Moyes is Sir alex's replacement at O. T. and he wants P. Neville to go there with him.
This has derailed his intentions of going to Bury for now.

09 May 2013 15:21:49
heard from a close source phil neville been at gigg lane last 2 days

07 May 2013 18:56:17
Aston Villa are interested in young highy-rated Doncaster winger' James Husband.

07 May 2013 20:06:50
He's a full back

Can't see it watched husband all last season home and away and he is not good anough for championship never mind premiership he made some very bad mistakes game after game poor player in rovers class side last year he was the weakest by far.

Really hope not

He's a defender not a winger. Shows how fake this rumour is if you can't get his position right

James is an excellent prospect, he can play in any position down the left side. It would be sad to see him go, but he is a potential premiership player and desrves his chance. He played at championship level last season and certainly proved he is (18) well capable of handling whatever challenge he is given.

He's played as a winger for most of season

How was he one of the weakest players? He was brilliant for us! Are you blind? He will play in the prem one day.

James husband is a left sided player. He can play defensive as a full back, wingback or winger. Hence how he got his goals

Husband is a player with potential to go far in the game. An English left footed player who can play full back or left side midfield is rare these days. Who ever said he was poor last year is either no judge of a footballer, or is a wind up merchant trying to put potential buyers off.

Husband is a brilliant player would be bad to see him go

Over rated young player

07 May 2013 18:48:58
yeovil are looking to sign ipswichs released striker micheal chropra if they gain promotion to the championship

Still has a year on his contract, he is on the transfer list, though

He is tranfer listed not released.

Well he is not released, but I think we would accept anything above a tenner!

Except you will have to pay for him as he has a year left

Michael Chopra hasn't been released (unfortunately). He still has a year left on his contract so he has been transfer listed.

Unlikely GJ would target someone with gambling and betting scandal problems.

Hull City Targets!
GK - Kirkland, Lindegaard, (Reading keeper Mcarthy, not sure how to spell)
CB - Phil Neville, Micheal Turner, Colocini
MID - Elmohamady, Mcmanaman, Maloney, Mcgugan (Forest) Arshavin (if will take a wage cut for 1st team football)
ST - Jones (stoke), Hooper (Celtic) Rhodes (Blackburn)

I've seen some unrealistic rumours but damn, this is just delusion. Lindegaard? Coloccini? Never in a million years, half of these. The only remotely possible out of all of these is McGugan

Rhodes said he wants to stay. McCarthy is too expensive. Collicici wants Argentina move. Hooper to good. Arshavin won't take a cut he was offered 60k at reading in jan

1 you won't get McCarthy
2 arshavin wants to stay in London where his kids are at school

And 3 hull are the worst team ever promoted

I have heared of all of them but Turner! would be glad to get any of them!

Arshavin to Hull City? I have seen this somewhere else.

07 May 2013 23:20:53
sako to sign from wolves for 3.5 million and give them Stewart and mclean

Isn't Arshavin still the highest paid player at Arsenal? I doubt he'd take a wage cut and come here. lol.

Lindegaard? Seriously? No way.

As for Neville, P as a centre back, are you mad? He's only 5'7" or something!

08 May 2013 11:56:46
I have to say that these are pants rumours, and I am a Hull City fan! BTW; I think you will see next season that we are far from 'the worst team to be promoted' to the Premier League.

I really wish people would stop getting so excited about the prospect of "big name" signings.

Mcmanaman is clearly set for bigger things than a relegation dog fight every year (be that with Hull or Wigan). If he leaves Wigan this year it'll be for mid-table prem or as a rotation option for a bigger team.

Colocini is off to Argentina (or outside of UK at least).

Arshavin would be just another Bullard, too expensive and lazy.

Jones would want stacks of cash to come to Hull and to be fair, I don't think he's that much better than Aluko or Boyd.

As for a Goalkeeper:
McCarthy would be realistic in terms of both parties ambitions but he would be expensive and wouldn't solve our problem at the back long term as he would be gone in 2 years.

Lindegaard would only be a loan signing as he is obvioulsy meant for better things.

Stockdale, Schmeichel or Steele would be good options if the price was right. Kirkland will be a backup keeper with distinction if we get him.

UTT
Hooper and Rhodes are going to go to someone like West Ham or Fulham.

McCarthy won't join dull 'Ull

Im interestedin the hull fan who's never heard of turner'.!!

07 May 2013 18:39:48
Bristol City will try to sign young goalkeeping prospect Wes Foderingham from Swindon Town due to Dean Gerken and Tom Heaton both being out of Contract from June the 1st and want away from Ashton Gate. -CH

Heaton looks likely to stay now.

Tom's been offered a new contract and wants to stay so get your facts right

07 May 2013 18:32:32
Ipswich have confirmed that they have released keeper aaron lee barrett, midfielder andy drury and winger lee martin, whilst striker michael chopra has been made available for transfer as has Jay Emmanuel Thomas.

Lee martin is would appear likely to sign for his former club charlton, or a lower league/up and coming club such as bournemouth, doncaster or barnsley.

Before we sign anybody Flitcroft and Chris o`Grady must be signed up

I hope he signs for the addicks as of chopra and jay emmanuel thomas

Would mind seeing JET back at rovers for a season

07 May 2013 18:27:05
Fleetwood Town have been in talks with former Huddersfield defender Tom Clarke.

Good move for him, would be one of their best players.

I should hope he would be one of their better players, hence the reason we are getting rid. they are lge2! If he's no use there were next for him? Conference? Or a job at b&Q.

07 May 2013 18:09:25
Charlie Austin is presently valued at £2. 5-3 million due to only having a short contract left at Burnley. The valuation of £7 million by Burnley is the reason he was not signed to another team in January. If he does not leave this summer then his value becomes even less next January

Is that why Jay Rodriguez was sold for 7million with exactly the same amount of time left on his? He wasnt sold in January because we received no offers in January.

He has also said today he is more than happy to stay. although with only a year left something needs to be done. He also said he would only leave if a Prem club came in and he had a chance of regular football. not a bench warmer.

08 May 2013 08:33:54
Well obviously Premiership Clubs aren't too interested in CA as I'm sure there would've been approaches? Burnley are being greedy. If they get a 2 million offer & CA is happy to leave, then I think they should take it, rather than let him see his contract out.

If he is staying was is his girlfriend house hunting in Poole?
Maybe it will be a buy to let?

08 May 2013 11:57:59
Off to Hull I reckon. £3m should do it

If they get a 2 mill offer they should takeit! are you for real don't think any clubs would even start their bidding that low

07 May 2013 17:38:37
Vaclav Kadlec will be joining Blackburn this summer for £3.5million and Leon Best and Pedersen will make way

07 May 2013 17:31:02
Gary Taylor-Fletcher to sign for the club

Give us a clue? Which club

Which club?

"The Club"? Jeez, there's some egos on here if you think your mob are SO BIG that you don't need to name them.

07 May 2013 17:28:16
Mkdons are tracking the recently released Huddersfield Midfielder Scott Arfield.

Mates with Anthony Kay, could be true.

Glad we finally got rid of him. He is awful so good luck to the dons if you do get him, you will need it.

New he might go to mk dons, would be fantastic, don't know why we released him

Why does every town fan moan and groan and say good luck to whoever think what he did for our club did he not score a pen that sent us up think about it well done cheers

Oh yh all them wages for 1 spot kick :/ i'd rather have roberts back

Yeah and think of all the deadwood we still have on the books. he was by no means the worst

08 May 2013 13:37:25
not too sad to him leave wouldn't really do a job next season so move him on. he wasnt brought to the club to run pass people and score 35 yard screamers so don't what you were expecting from him. he wasnt bad on right wing or coming on for last 20 mins to steady ship but again not really championship quality will do a job for mk dons but personally he will to yeovil or brentford or bk to scotland
true terrier

Still a better player than Anton Robinson who we can't offload because he has a long term injury.

07 May 2013 17:23:17
Shrewsbury to sign andy dury who has left Ipswich and steve Elliot who has left coventry

Dury is going to crawley

I can tell you that Calvin Zola is holding talks with Graham Turner to move to Shrewsbury.

Elliott has just signed a new contract with chelteham

07 May 2013 17:19:17
burnley want boaz myhill in with any deal that wba have to land striker charlie austin. burnley are looking to bring in a new no. 1 and poss no. 2 also after lee grant turned down a new deal and has rejoined derby whilst the beast brian jensen has also left the club after his contract ran out

Charlie Austin and girlfriend are currently house hunting in Poole. I can't see him commuting to WBA every day?

07 May 2013 16:52:31
Derby have confirmed the signing of Lee Grant on a free from Burnley today.

Chris Martin is set to be announced by the end of the week on a free from Norwich.

Even though Birmingham took up their option of an extra year on Chris Burke's contract a deal will be done with Burke going to Derby and Fielding going to Birmingham to replace Butland.

Derby are one of a few teams in talks with Norwich and James Vaughan, this deal won't be sorted until Vaughan returns from holiday although rumours are that Vaughan has already agreed terms with Derby, if this is false and Derby miss out they will turn their attentions to Martyn Waghorn on a free.

Alex Baptiste is still talking to other teams but has held positive talks with Clough who he has worked under before and is likely to join Derby before the end of May.

Once the premier league season is over Derby will be able to confirm the signing of Dean Whitehead on a free from Stoke who they have already had talks with.

Craig Forsyth will sign for a small fee from Watford once the playoffs have been concluded, the deal will be completed end of May/early June depending on how well Watford do.

Ben Davies still hasn't agreed a new contract and is going to talk to other teams too but would like to stay nearby due to having a young kid so Notts county and Walsall are in the running if he wants more chance of first team games.

Roberts (already released), Deeney, Fielding, Atkins, Naylor, Bailey, Tyson, Doyle and Robinson all to be sold/released.

We won't get burke

And clough has hinted that deeney will be number two next season with morch number three

07 May 2013 23:37:30
As a Derby fan, I hope Saul Deeny is not our number 2. How can he better than Legzines, only played 5 games at most for Derby in the time he's been here.

Deeny might get the odd game but if Grant is out for 6 or 8 (ish) games with an injury they will get a loan in. Deeny is happy with that. Morch u21 keeper and Derby sorting trying to tie down Ross Atkins with him going to Alfreton Town. Today's DET

Derby will get Forsyth regardless of how we do in the play-offs. Good luck to him.

Grant, Baptiste, Forsyth, Burke, Martin, Vaughan. all good CHAMPIONSHIP signings. and a good exchange if we get rid of a few fringe players, Tyson, Davies, etc.

Still doesn't convince me of a promotion winning side, need some prem 'experienced players especially at the back and up front.

07 May 2013 16:23:01
Hull ins:
Stockdale, Fulham. Jol wants £4mil, Bruce only wants to pay £2mil so he'll probably go for.
. Schmicheal (spelling), Leicester. £2-3mil
Turner, Norwich. £3mil
Le Fondre, Reading. £4-5mil plus add-ons
Powell, MUFC. Loan
Elmohammedy, Sunderland. £2mil
Saki, Wolves. £1-2mil plus add-ons

Hull outs:
Olifinjana, contract
Stewart, contract?
Dawson, retirement
Dudgeon, loan
Proschwitz, loan or sale
Gedo, return to club
Fathi, return to club

New deals will be offered to Mcshane & Rosenior.

Bruce is thought to be willing to listen to offers for Fryatt and Simpson but will give them a chance in the Premier League if he doesn't receive viable offers. Sone Aluko and Robbie Brady set for improved deals to ward off potential suitors.

Source: mate from uni is now a physio at the club.

Physio/head of recruitment?

Turner won't leave Norwich, he is playing well with Bassong.

Sorry, you'll not be re-signing Turner.

Turner no way

Sorry that should say SAKO, damn you autocorrect!
based on what he said, these players are principle targets not done deals.

Turner bid is subject to NCFC's survival in Premier League.

Sorry that should say SAKO.

These are targets, not done deals.

Turner deal would be subject to Norwich's survival.

We won't lose proschwitz or gedo, dawson might retire though

We won't get powell

07 May 2013 16:22:37
Charlton athletic set to make a bid for Spurs, Masimo luongo after he impressed at Swindon town. Also rumoured is the permanent arrivals of both John Obika and Mark Gower.
BWP has also attracted interest from newly promoted Gillingham and Coventry City.

There's no point signing Liam Trotter (even though he's quite good) when Owen Hargreaves is still out there.

Where did Liam trotter come from^^?
Some credibility to this rumour as I have also heard of this (Swindon Fan).

Expect Bolton to revamp the squad after narrowly missing out on the playoffs. High earners such as Knight, Ricketts, Pratley, Mears, Andrews and K. Davies set to leave with all money made from sales going towards Freedmans budget. Early rumours suggest he is set to look at Connor Newton, Paul Dummett, Craig Dawson, Peter Whittingham, Mile Jedinak, Dominic Oduro and Will Grigg.

You really think Jedinak will go to bolton, he might just be in the prem with Palace. Anyway, why the hell would he go, what, just because greedman is there. Remember Palace finished above bolton this season, they might just do the same next season, if they don`t go up. Also, how much money do bolton want to splash, how about 10million, suit you. {Ed003's Note - oooh! }

Expect Bolton to revamp their squad. ? Do you actaully support Bolton? If not how can you say who should go. ? I would keep Knight & Pratley and get rid of Mears, Mills, Andrews & Ricketts. Alonso may go.

We don't need Jedinak, we have Medo. Whittingham is now a premiership player so he won't come. I like Dummett, Parr from Palace if they don't go up. Dawson back on loan (well I can dream) Norwegian centre half Tollas, I like AussieTrent Sainsbury. I would also like Liam Trotter. A striker with a goalscoring pedigree is a must. Will Freedman go back for Schlupp? I would try for Guidetti from City on a season loan.

It's going to be an exciting Summer for Bolton fans which could start as early as the end of this month with two players already in the bag?

Jedinak is not worth £10 million. Bolton will finish higher than Palace next season. Brighton will go up!

Yes, DF is signing 2 or 3 Palace players as soon as they are out of contention for the Prem. The only thing to stop this is actual promotion. And, yes, Jedinak is one of them. All agreed.

I think the three Palace players that Dougie is after bringing in at Bolton will be Garvan, Parr & Jedinak. Parr would be my first choice an ideal replacement for Alonso.

There was a rumour that bolton wanted Bolasie not long back, don't think garvan is good enough, not too sure about jedinak, but tbh hope freedman doesn't just got for his old team too much!

Neil Alexander to Burnley pre contract agreement.

07 May 2013 18:24:44
With Lee Grant signing a 3 year deal with Derby County today. This opens up a move for Adam Legzdins and Frank Fielding who are surplus to requirements.

Naturally Derby are now not in the driving seat as they have shown their cards by signing a goalkeeper. Naturally this will reduce the transfer price that clubs will bid.

Frank Fielding is an excellent keeper and was playing for the England under 21 side. With one year left his market value is around 500k. However as I said the transfer value is likely to be lower. A bid of around 300k could be accepted.

Birmingham have been mentioned, potentially as a replacement for Butland. Also Burke in a swap deal has been spoken about too.
Leicester City too, if Schmeichel is sold.
Doncaster, following their promotion to the championship, to replace the ageing Sullivan.

Legzdins is less proven but has shown he is a great keeper at this level. Newcastle has been mentioned with Adam likely (well definitely because Krul is firm number 1) to be second choice replacing Rob Elliott.

Clough said he doesn't expect either keeper to return to Derby for pre-season training. One rumour is that both 'don't follow instructions' and Clough lost patience. Welcome back Granty and good luck Frank and Lego.

07 May 2013 18:16:56
Bournemouth want to make Henri Lansbury their first signing of the summer.
Brighton are to make a move for Granero if they are promoted, however Liam Bridcutt will move to the Premier League if they are not.

Lansberry will not be leaving forest unless they pay silly money

Ipswich Town Ins and Outs

Ins

Jay Tabb (Reading)- Free
David McGoldrick (Forest)- Free
Daryl Murphy (Celtic)- Free
Richard Stearman (Wolves)- 750-950K
Cole Skuse (Bristol City)- Free
Alan Judge (Notts County)- Free or Harry Forrester from Brentford

When McCarthy has sold other players it is expected that Town can expect a few more bigger signings.

Outs

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas (Crystal Palace)- £1-2m
Michael Chopra (Millwall)- 250K
?Aaron Cresswell? (Villa)- £3.5m- other bids expected to come in!
Arran Lee-Barett (Hartlepool)- Free
Andy Drury (League One Side)- Free

Unlikely that Kisnorbo, N'Daw, Reece Brown or McLean will be staying.

Drury and Lee-Barett have not been offered new contracts explaining that they are free agents. However Lee Martin has been offered a contract of much reduced wages.

These are good shouts. But Martin rejected said contracts, so will go somewhere with money.

valuations are a tad on the high side

Chopra and Thomas have been realeased, so they are now freebies.

Chopra and jet not released!transfer listed

Cresswell won't leave ipswich as he recently said he is happy and wants to stay for a play off push next season

Skuse to Ipswich is looking pretty nailed on.

07 May 2013 18:13:43
Ben Herd is being chased by a number of league 2 clubs. The ex Shrewsbury town defender is on the radar of AFC Wimbledon, Torquay and Plymouth.

Seems a good player would happily have him at Plymouth

Rene Howe spotted at home park and is there for talks (according to pasoti)

07 May 2013 16:48:35
Walsall will sign former manchester utd Winger Alan Smith of Mk Dons. The Saddlers are also intrested on signing former defender Julien Bennett and Striker Nathan Tyson.
Walsall will also get Will Grigg, Febian Brandy, James and Adam Chambers signed up on a further 1 year deal.
Craig Westcarr, George Bowerman, Richard Taundry, Connor Taylor along with a few others have been released by the club.

Haha Alan smith is not a winger

You're more than welcome to Smith! I have yet to see what he brings to a club other than a reputation and a handful of sicknotes.

Westcarr been offered a new deal. He's not been released.

I promise you that Alan Smith won't be playing for Walsall. He has a year left on his contract and has just been appointed manager of the Dons under 23 side as well as continuing as a first team player.

Alan Smith is under contract and will be concentrating on coaching the under 23 development squad next season. Very unlikely to be playing at MK or anywhere else for that matter.

Don't be too sure. We'll probably have so few players as usual, he'll certainly be needed to make up the numbers. For heaven's sake we usually have only 4/5 subs at best. Disgraceful!

07 May 2013 16:15:54
Peterborough United are expected to build their squad for next season using a number of players that have been released by their clubs:

Morgaro Gomis
Keith Fahey
Scott Arfield
Lee Martin
Brian Jensen

and Cheltenham midfielder Marlon Pack, if he doesn't sign a new deal at the league 2 club

Arfield and Pack are the only ones with half a chance of going to Posh. A 40 year old keeper? Really?

07 May 2013 17:17:49
Burnley to sign Tom Heaton from Bristol City, Sam Baldock to follow

Part of me rates Heaton, the other parts says he has conceaded more goals in a season than any other goalie in Bristol City's 120 year history.

He makes a few fantastic saves per game but never looks in control.

If we have to go find a more experienced man I won't weep.

The reason we have conceaded so many is because of the defence not the goalkeeper. He is The best keeper city has had in years

The goal keeper is the puppet master of his defenders, you can't say the defence is responsible for goals conceaded any more than you can blame the keeper.

One things for sure Heaton didn't work as part of the back 5 for City this year.

07 May 2013 17:15:23
Ben Amos is signing for Burnley to replace Lee Grant's departure to Derby

07 May 2013 17:14:36
Aston Villa interesting in sign Burton winger Jacques Maghoma.

07 May 2013 17:11:39
liverpool look like agreeing to swanseas 10 million price tag for skipper ashley williams.

Please no Rodgers! Give Kelly a chance

I've recently read the contrary. In fact the board have refused to sanction the deal despite rogers wanting to sign him.

07 May 2013 22:28:03
Williams is in a totally different league to kelly!

07 May 2013 22:37:32
Big love to our welsh brothers, if we manage to stay up, we'll owe you boys big time for tonight.
Just wish we had a manager like yours, you boys are going places.
Hope to see you next season!
NCFC {Ed003's Note - congrats on your promotion NCFC}

What a pleasure it is to read such a respectful post about our club. thank you.
I study in Swansea met with a Geordie lad and if he represents the majority of your fan base, may I state what a fantastic fan base you have.
I for one will be supporting ncfc to stay up and genuinely hope you do.
Would hate to see Sunderland go down (sarcasm), especially after Graham left! ;-)

NCFC not NUFC

I'm pretty sure he's a Norwich fan (NCFC) Or as the Ed suggested Newport County

Ha, my bad. still, both teams in the same boat!

07 May 2013 17:10:20
swansea city are in talks with blackpool over the purchase of sylvestre

07 May 2013 22:29:05
Hes rubbish {Ed003's Note - I usually delete shite posts that add nothing to a thread but seeing as I like Ludo could you explain a bit more why you think he is rubbish}

Ludo is out of contract so No purchase needed

Fancy play maker that rarely gives the ball away, yeah he's rubbish.

Yeh and recently he seems to have added goals to his game, rubbish!

He's too old he's 29 there's no point let's get back too Spain to do some deals!

The board are wise. They'll make the right moves, 29 won't be considered an issue, look at Williams, Rangel and Britton! Just offer a shorter contract to begin with and see how he gels with the team. If he plays well, offer him an extension or sanction a move for a tidy profit (as he'd be on a free!).

I don't think anyone can deny, we manage to get the best out of the majority of players who come to play for the team.

I personally think he would thrive under us and be a nice and classy addition. Haven't seen him play (don't watch anyone else really, don't care!), but read plenty of good about him.

Hope this transpires!

Swans have q good track record picking up out of contract players.

07 May 2013 17:09:42
wba are looking to land chelsea youngster nathanjiel chaloboh on loan next season. the versatile england u21 is currentky on loan at watford

I think Brighton are going to get him

Brighton will only get him if they get into the Premier. Chelsea have already stated that he won't play in the Championship next season so if Watford and Brighton fail to get promoted WBA will probably be a good bet.

Depends who goes up

Brigjton have to go up firsy. More chance of him going to watford next year

Brighton will not get him.

He will spend another season at Watford if they are promoted.

If not, WBA is quite likely.

I hope it's WBA, look how Clarke got lukaku going, I though he was another lost talent

He already said he's staying at Watford if he can?

08 May 2013 12:46:24
He has said he would like to stay with Watford if we go up. If not he will be loaned out to a premiership team

07 May 2013 17:00:30
West brom to get kone and Maloney if Wigan go down if Newcastle go down crises and marveaux to lose olsson Thomas fortunè odemwingie

07 May 2013 16:59:45
Robert Olejnik or Darren Randolph to replace Lee Grant at Burnley

07 May 2013 16:58:39
Charlton transfer window not looking as busy as first hoped.

Players to be released are as follows:

Matt Taylor
BWP
Scott Wagstaff
Salim Kerkar
John Sullivan
Yado Mambo
Jordan Cook

Therefore players to be signed are:
CB - Alex Pearce (free) - Reading
RW - James Henry (350k) - 'Wall
CM - Liam Trotter (350k) - 'Wall
LW - Simon Davies (free) - Fulham
ST - Nicky Maynard (Loan) - Cardiff

There's no chance of Nicky Maynard going out on loan. He has just come back fron a long term cruciate injury and is an exciting option. Malky has stated that he is central to his plans

Trotter is going to Brighton if they get promoted

07 May 2013 20:16:17
Haha Alex Pearce to Charlton on a free. He's off to Liverpool as was reported in the local Reading press. Next joke.

Why in the world would Alex Pearce sign for Charlton when he's looking to play football at a higher level than Reading? The gulf between Charlton and Reading are big enough, let alone Reading and Liverpool, whom are interested. Delusions.

You have below no chance of getting pearce

Alex Pearce? Are you mad? He's being tracked by a number of prem clubs. Why would he drop back down to the championship on less money?

They won't sign any of them players. Especially not maynard, trotter or pearce

07 May 2013 16:55:07
Chris Kiwomya is currently in talks with Jimmy Ryan who is out of contract at Scunthorpe and will turn down their offer to join the 'Magpies'

Hes only turned down an offer so he can join sheffield united next season

07 May 2013 16:28:31
Mkdons interested in derenders Ash Eastham -Blackpool and Jack Barchram who is set to be released by Tottenham

Could be something in this as Blackpool interested in MK's Garry Mckenzie. Pool offered Halztead a new contract and as he's under 24 would attract a fee so a deal could be done if terms are acceptable for McKenzie.

Sorry, what does this have to do with Halstead?

Nothing to do with halstead. It's a deal taking Eastham to MK that could oil the wheels for Mckenzie going the other way.

07 May 2013 16:03:19
Paddy Madden to Bristol City if Yeovil don't get promoted.

He can do much better than city, he'd be better off staying at yeovil. not sure city have the funds to get him anyway

Are you kidding me? Not a chance!

Well it's a sure thing we have a few quid more than Yeovil.

Not with -£41 million you dont

Looks like Paddy Madden is signing for over 30 clubs at the end of the season wow he is good!

Technically you're in debt, so you don't.

Most clubs are in debt

Bristol City are in debt to their owner, its the equivelent of me moving money between my current account and savings.

City have a quote "very competitive budget" for next year.

07 May 2013 15:57:19
Jon Walters to leave stoke for £5 million with Celtic, Hull and Cardiff among favourites for the striker

Hull won't get him

07 May 2013 15:42:06
Norwich expected to announce signings of Curtis Davies and Nathan Redmond in next few days for a joint deal of 8 million. (Davies= £3m, Redmond= £5m)

Not sure either are worth that. Both for 6m maybe.

07 May 2013 15:41:45
Burnley to sign Robert Olejnik form Posh for 200,000 to replace Lee Grant who signed for Derby County today

07 May 2013 15:40:39
Rotherham are in talks with Blackburn full back Josh Morris, Burton winger Jacques Maghoma and Huddersfield striker Alan Lee!

Not Alan lee Evans has ruled out a move for him

Evans already stated he doesn't want Lee!

Alan lee is a star i'm dissapointed we haven't kept him.
huddersfield fan

Evans already said he isn't one of his targets and no talks have go e off which just shows how false all this rumour is.

What would we have kept him for? To make half time tea and cut oranges up? Had his day

Maybe he could go part time and set up a ladies hairdressing service, which he already seems to have a flair for.

Alan lee is a star 11 goals in almost 100apps 400000 pound he cost plus one of the highest owners he is garbage add to the fact he's always on the floor or getting booked. and I haven't even mentioned his hair!

07 May 2013 15:39:38
Rotherham are on the brink of signing 2 highly-rated youngsters from the premier league. That's all I know, got nothing on names but they're both expected to sign on season-long loans in the next few days.

Surely they won't sign until July if on a season long loan?

Hope its courtney cameron who was on loan with us at nys good player

07 May 2013 15:30:44
Exeter City ins and outs

Outs

Paul Tisdale
Cureton-Bristol Rovers
Oakley-Cambridge United
Gow-Falkirk

In

Paul Sturrock
Wotton - Plymouth
Hyde - Barnet
leven - Oxford

Paul Sturrock and Paul Wotton, you have to be joking? They wouldn't never join, especially Wotton, the man has green blood!

07 May 2013 19:14:25
Cant see leven moving to exeter to far to travel 1of reasons he joined oxford

No chance of sturrock ever managing Exeter and with wotton signing ha ha not in a million years

07 May 2013 20:20:50
Leven won't go to Exeter. He rejected championship clubs to join OUFC. as he didn't want to move from his Milton Keynes home with his young family. And if Exeter are getting rid of the more senior players because they can't afford them. They have no chance affording Leven. He was on more than all of them

Wotton would never leave Argyle for Exeter

07 May 2013 20:51:47
Leven is on huge wages, too big for Oxford, let alone Exeter!

Oh dear every year cureton is linked with us and he never comes, getting old now

Bristol Rovers are in for Leven, watch this space.

Wotton would never go he just signed a contract and leven and hyde are supposibly coming to argyle

Bye Bye Exeter's league status if true : (

08 May 2013 17:51:17
Lol maybe bristol city unless he's trying out for the rugby

07 May 2013 14:29:26
Ronnie Moore has agreed a 50k deal to bring Steven Schumacher to tranmere on a 2 year deal. The player will be the first signing.

He has just signed an extension to keep him at Bury for another 2 seasons

08 May 2013 12:23:52
Steven Schumacher only has a year left according to his interview on BBC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22341430

Are you sure the club don`t seem to be in a position to offer 12 month contracts never mind 2 years due to lack of investment

He signed the contract whilst he was injured, but there may be a relegation clause? Would be a good deal, but I thought Max Power established himself.

That tv page about his Late Kickoff interview is dated 29th April which is only a week ago, so I'll be surprise if he's signed to extended contract beyond his existing year left?

07 May 2013 15:18:49
Bradford City are looking to sign three or four players, which include Zola, Maghoma, McQuid and Vardy

07 May 2013 15:04:56
Nantwich super striker Chris Jones who bagged 39 league goals last season is set to make a £300k summer signing to newly promoted port vale after he turned down a new 2 year deal at the cheshire club.

07 May 2013 15:02:00
reports are saying that an unnamed london side have had a contract offer for lampard accepted already. any truth behind these rumors?

Not uncle 'arry?

07 May 2013 15:00:38
Adebayo Akinfenwa's proposed move to Portsmouh has been put on hold and is looking more unlikley. The striker has sent the cobblers to Wembley and Aidy Boothroyd sees him as a vital player for his plans. He is out of contract from July 1st and Portsmouth, Tranmere and Cheltemham are all after him.

He wouldn't join us anyway would he

Where would he fit in with Super Pat?

07 May 2013 15:00:38
Bobby Grant - In Talks with Plymouth and Exeter

Add shrewsbury to the list of possible suitors

07 May 2013 14:35:07
Cheltenham and Scunthorpe are battling for the signature of Ashley Grimes.

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner is also keen on the Rochdale striker. He did try to get the ex Lincoln striker earlier in the season as part of the deal that saw Terry Gornell join Rochdale from the shrews.

07 May 2013 14:22:51
Burton are after signing Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott in the summer. He is out of contract at his parent club and has impressed while on loan at Woking this season.

07 May 2013 14:49:20
Hull look to be looking at Sheffield Wednesday Goalkeeper Chris Kirkland

He'd be a good backup keeper but I can't imagine he'd be our number 1.

Lets hope Brucey can get a good price for either Stockdale or Kasper Schm.

07 May 2013 14:44:48
Southampton reportedly interested in Basel's Austrian defender Alexsander Dragovic. Everton and Arsenal also reported to be showing interest.
Source: tv Website

Love to sign him, he's young and incredibly talented. Be a great asset to any club in the league (possibly excluding Chelsea of one of the Manchester ones).

07 May 2013 14:39:44
Port Vale are very interested in Blackpools young out of contract defender Ashley Eastham, who has recently been on loan at Bury. Blackpool have offered fresh terms however the powerful defender is looking for first team football, and with Port Vale wanting to add young hungry talented players to there play off push next season, it seems like a perfect fit for both parties.

Just for the record, compensation will need to be paid to blackpool as ash is under 24

07 May 2013 14:11:42
Cheltenham manager Mark Yates is keen to bolster his attacking options early for the new season, Calvin Zola and Rene Howe are on his radar.

Whats the obsession with Howe and our fans!

07 May 2013 14:10:33
Cheltenham are keen to sign a new left back this summer, Northampton's Joe Widdowson is a possibility.

All i'm saying is if Northampton get promoted, why will he wanna go to Cheltenham?

No way is is too good to be playing in this division

07 May 2013 19:59:06
Cheltenham are paying very good wages in league two so it may happen. /

07 May 2013 13:58:27
Walsall chaseing Rhys Evans, Julian Bennet, Ben Davies, Nathan Tyson and two non league wingers/forwards

Ben davies from Derby or Swansea? the one from Swansea, good luck haha

07 May 2013 17:56:47
It would be the Derby one. He started his career at walsall before leaving to shrewsbury without playing a game

07 May 2013 13:27:10
Burton are set to make Kidderminster defender Lee Vaughan their first signing of the summer.
Burton manager Gary Rowett is a long-term admirer and is in the market for a new right-back after the return of Anthony O'Connor to Blackburn and the release of Andy Corbett.

07 May 2013 13:19:06
Shrewsbury are in talks to sign Calvin Zola as a direct replacement for Marvin Morgan but Zola is seen as a more round player who can score plenty of goals and hold the ball up

Great if true

Possible but he did turn us down once before though we were in League 2 then.

07 May 2013 13:09:23
Calvin Zola, Jacques Maghoma and Matt Paterson are all to reject offers from other clubs to sign long-term contract extensions at Burton.

I so hope this is true! 3 superb strikers all with different qualities. UTBs

Would hope that Zola and Paterson seriously consider staying at Burton - they along with Billy Kee will again rip up L2 next season. Sadly I believe Jacqs will depart.

07 May 2013 13:04:35
Official:
Derby have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Lee Grant from Burnley when his contract expires.

07 May 2013 13:02:36
Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner will again look to strengthen his squad with some of the top players from league 2.

Players on his list include:

Grant & Grimes (Rochdale)
Zola (Burton)
Pack (Cheltenham)

Would be good

Pack and Zola would be excellent signings but grimes and grant would be class as poor signings

The only likely target is Zola. Grant and Grimes are in decline and Pack is vastly over-rated.

07 May 2013 12:54:48
Mark Duffy of Scunthorpe is Graham Turner's number 1 priority as the Shrews boss builds his squad for next season. With the release of Mark Wright & Jon Taylor being tracked by a number of clubs the need for a wide palyer or two becomes a must.

Joel Grant is also on GT's radar.

07 May 2013 12:53:00
Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade is on the verge of tying up deals for Calvin Andrew and Cody McDonald.

Calvin Andrew is tosh worst player I have seen at the vale this season

Equaly as bad at Orient. He will never make it as a forward. He is a big strong lad, and could possibly be developed into a defender, if someone is prepared to take a chance on him.

I wish Calvin all the best.
From an Os supporter.

He is non league bound, andrews is one of the worst players to have ever put on an orient shirt, and I have seen a few, so rest easy os and vale fans.

It's an ongoing joke with us O's fans.

Apparently we've been after Cody McDonald since he dropped out of his mother.

And as you say, Calvin Andrew, worst player ever? Absolutely.

Forget about calvin andrews, we have had talks with ex loan simon church and is expected to sign early next week.

07 May 2013 12:52:04
Just been told that "Fergie Jr" was seen in Birmingham meeting with someone from Wolves at the weekend. They tried to get him before but he never went! Watch this space!

07 May 2013 12:21:58
Luca Corrado The 19 Year Old Centre Back And Captain Of Udinese's Youth Team Is Lookin To Join Watford On Loan This Summer Accordin To His Dad

Very unlikely as Watford will bring in experienced defenders to compliment Hoban and Thompson

Hoban will miss most of next season and Thompson will be leaving.

08 May 2013 08:25:18
Watford are not scared of playing young players like Hoban, Vydra and Chalabar so this post is quite believeable

07 May 2013 12:10:37
Kevin Davis is set to join Southend to play under one of his closest pal's (Phil Brown)
George Boatang (sorry for spelling) is set to go on trail
Neil Harris is set to become a player coach if his injury doesn't clear up by August/September
Barry Corr has fallen out with Phil Brown and is causing interest from Portsmouth.

This would be a very good double signing for us in league two. It shows that they serious about promotion next season.

Yer they are good quality but we should go the crewe way promote youth academy players. I don't want a 37 did an old man work for barnet. the answer is no

07 May 2013 12:16:51
Torquay United Are In Talks With Two Managers:

Alan Knill
Paul Sturrock

Knill Is More Likely To Become The Gulls' New Manager As He Managed Them At The Back End Of Last Season. He Also Knows Most Of The Players And The Way They Like To Play So Is Thea Bristow's First Choice.

On The Other Hand, Paul Sturrock Had Mild Success At Southend United, Guiding Them To The Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final Last Season And Finishing 4th In League 2 In The 2011/2012 Season. Has Previously Worked With Craig Easton At Southend. Although, He May Not Be Wanted By Gulls Fans Due To His Plymouth Argyle Connections.

Knill would be an excellent choice. Stay clear of Sturrock, useless.

Alan Knill
is the new manager of torquay

Sturrock is a superb manager

Sturrock is a dinosaur, thank heavens he has left Southend.

07 May 2013 12:07:57
Stevenage Fc director of football Leon hunter has his work cut out to find clubs for over half the squad that are also under contract, as graham Westley has told them they are all not good enough. Shockingly Player of the year Dunne and highly rated defensive midfielder grant are amongst them.

07 May 2013 12:03:26
Stevenage will trigger their option to keep Patrick agymang for another year as Westley is a big admirer of the strong from man as he looks release Haber.

Not true I'm afraid - he's signed a pre-contract agreement with Portsmouth

07 May 2013 13:43:13
agyemang is a pompey player

07 May 2013 11:59:42
Sheffield United are going to give Dean Saunders a return back to management just days after been sack by wolves with Chris Morgan been his assassinate and David Unsworth take back his old role as head of youth development.

07 May 2013 11:39:52
Lewin Nyatanga coming in on a free along with Cameron Jerome who huddersfields manager mark robins has approached stoke to bring the striker in on a season long loan

Blair Turgott to town for 250k
Federico Macheda to town for 2.5 million

The Macheda one is absolute rubbish

I heard about the macheda rumour with man united looking to release him this summer he will be looking for regular football and huddersfield could be the team to springboard him back into the premier league.

Macheda is useless never be premier class, or even championship

Bristol city, doncaster and mk dons are keen to snap up winger filipe morais as he has asked Stevenage Fc to release him from his contract due to graham westley coming back.

We had him at MK before and he wasn't great.

Heard we are linked with middlesborough winger mustapha caryol and Bristol city winger albert adomah

MK Dons do not want Morais, we had him before on loan from Chelsea a few years ago and he was poor, would be disappointed to see him back again!

Everton interested in signing Josh Meade, Leeds are after highly rated irish international Evan finnegan, Jordan Binns on loan to Halifax Town, Harry Middleton on loan to wolves, Alex peterson on loan to frickley, PADDY MULLEN on loan to huddersfield Jonathan Maxted on loan to Rochdale reliable source

Unless Adomah and Caryol are out of contract, there's no chance of that happening! Winkleman is spending nought! We are in need of fast, pacey wingers, however, we will not get them through money, as we don't have any!

I spoke to Filipe at Mitchell Cole's memorial match as he was sitting next to me and he said he is going nowhere not for the next two years at least :S

"Unless Adomah and Caryol are out of contract, there's no chance of that happening! Winkleman is spending nought! We are in need of fast, pacey wingers, however, we will not get them through money, as we don't have any!"

What he said. Not a penny available. As usual :-|

Mustapha Carayol started his senior career under Paul Ince at MK Dons. Absolutely no chance of us bringing him back - wasn't rated by the management

09 May 2013 07:47:39
Reasonably big championship clubs are after adamoah so unfortunately don't think he is coming to the dons.

Argentinian centre back Leonel Galeano of Independiente, 20, is to move to Premier League this summer. A host of clubs chasing him, including West Ham

Swansea city to make an ambicious bid for Newcastle midfeilder Yohan Cabaye should they be relegated.

Surely Ben Arfa would be more suited to our style of play?
Saying that, they've got a good squad so many of their players would possibly fit into our style; couldn't quite believe they sold Ba in January and can speculate they wouldn't be in this scenario if they hadn't of done so!

Just goes to show that anything can happen in the prem, they done outstanding last season and struggling this one.

Agree with the above comment Ben arfa would be a lovely signing but a very pricey one!

Cabaye will have plenty of clubs after him, personally I don't like signing players who have just been relegated, they have a habit of getting relegated again.

They were forced to sell Ba because his release clause was activated.

Both Cabaye and Ben Arfa must be on at least 50k a week wages, when have we ever seen Swansea sign an already proven player on big wages? (I'm a swans fan also)

I think personally Ben Arfa is a very greedy player, yes fast and skillful but too greedy, more of an individual than a team player, Cabaye is top notch, but surely if Newcastle go down the likes or Arsenal and clubs similar to that stature will be sniffing around him?

07 May 2013 11:30:16
swansea city left back ben davies is being linked to a move to man city!!

Linked yes but this won't happen unless a nice offer comes in! Just silly rumours

Hope there's nothing that transpires here. He's Jack born and bred and has seen what has happened to many that have left for greater pastures!

wrong he's from neath!

Jack is the term for 'supporter', not birth place. We have Jacks all over the world! Rangel classes himself as a Jack, as do Tatey, Monk and Britton.

Kind regards,

Person! {Ed003's Note - it would have so much better if you signed off as Jack}

He's not from port talbot, he's from Neath crynant

Ben davies is one of the best young fullbacks in the prem.

Actually he was born in neath

He won't leave for man city he's a crynant boy, been with the swans since he was little and doesn't want to leave

Jordan Rhodes in talks with hammers over proposed £8m move. Sam Allardyce has identified Rhodes as a player who will get goals no matter what the level and looks to bring him in over the summer. Ricardo vaz Te may also be used in the deal

Hopefully true so we (Huddersfield) can finally get our money from him.

Can't see Vaz Te wanting to go to the circus that is Blackburn Rovers

Crawley manager Richie Barker is wanting to sign three players in the summer. He wants a midfielder and two forwards to join the club.
Young Luton Town midfielder JJ O'Donnell is out of contract at the London side but has impressed a number of scouts over the season. The 21 year old is wanted by Barker because of his age and the former Bury boss feels he can improve O'Donnell to become a good League 1 player.
One of the first two strikers is Theo Lewis. The Salisbury forward was training with the club for a week before the season ended. It is thought the 21 year old impressed the Town manager and also scored in a reserve game. Lewis was at Cheltenham Town for three years but was released as manager Mark Yates thought he wasn't up to standard. Another youngster in Lewis could sign a one year deal.
The second attacker is rumoured to be Sheffield United forward Chris Porter. The target man has featured a lot for United this campaign but has revealed he would like to leave the club to pursue other challenges. A fee of just under £300,000 has been agreed to sign the former Oldham attacker.

I find it very hard to believe Crawley have £300k to waste on one player - a player that has rarely shown the promise he had at Oldham, prior to his respectless act of moving to Scotland thereby depriving the club that gave him that platform a fee as a player of under 24.

Luton is not in london!

ps jj is staying!

You obviously have not seen Porter play if you think he is worth £300K

Is Francois Zoko going to woking?

08 May 2013 11:44:32
Beckford still keen on crawley move

08 May 2013 13:30:16
Dumbya leaving crawley for bournmouth

Crawley are still quids in from the sale of Tubbs and Barnett to the sum of over £1m so 300k isn't that far fetched. Add on top the possibilty of new club owners investment, anything is possible.

Barker has already said he will not be making many signings and if he does they will be frees!

08 May 2013 20:22:16
Tubs will not go back move on

09 May 2013 07:59:58
New owners are a large company who want to build a bigger studium

07 May 2013 11:09:33
Portsmouth will not be signing Gabor Gyepes or Therry Racon as they want too much money.

07 May 2013 11:08:59
Sheffield United are set to approach Wrexham for their manager Andy Morrell.

No, no, no. on a local Oxford forum, Sheffield are after Chris Wilder. I've already filled the car up to give him a lift up to Yorkshire. He's a fantastic manager

07 May 2013 10:56:18
Lewandowski will join Chelsea!

No man utd

Colchester look set to take Former Shrewsbury captain Matt Richards on trial for pre season, They also hope to get Marvin Morgan on trial in search for a new powerful striker if Jabo Ibehre departs.

I wouldn't describe Marvin Morgan as a powerful striker. just look at his goals per games ratio. not exactly impressive.

Matt Richards was unlucky not to be offered a new contract at Shrewsbury and would be a good signing.

Thats not really what powerful is though, is it.

emile heskey is a very powerful striker for example.

Marv is awkward for being tall and quick. he's 6'5 and wins less headers than 5'10 Bradshaw

He has speed and height and would be an ideal target man for the u's if Jabo departs!

Marvin Morgan is not a target man and that comes form the man himself.

Yes he's tall but wins nothing in the air as stated. there's a reason he had 2 goals in 20 games

Ignore how tall Marvin Morgan is, he is absolutely useless in the air. He is a hard working, unpredicatable, pacy centre forward who will always annoy the oppositions defence. Matt Richards is a top player too, spent all season playing LM, if you play him CM he is top class.

I agree Marvin is a great striker always getting around the defence to make a nosense and is overall a good guy!

Matt Richards will be a great signing he has a quality left foot and right attitude to suit Colchester!

Sinclare. the man city Sincare for 5m. that must be a joke - Trevor Sinclare maybe! but not Scott

Russell Slade is wanted by Wolves to become the new manager of Wolves. He has had two successful season at Leyton Orient in his 4 years there.

Got a feeling it could be kenny jackett. He has just resigned as Millwall manager.
He brought Millwall up from league 1 to the championships.

No coincidence that Saunders has got the boot, and kenny Jackett has just voluntary resigned.
Strong rumour is that jackett had already been given the nod, as long as two weeks ago!

Forget about Slade getting the Wolves Job. He would be under too much pressure there.
Russ is well liked at Orient, and has a good understanding with Hearn.

Apparently Russ is the front runner for the Millwall job. Just summit I heard from someone in work.

Darren Ferguson is the strong favourite for the job.

Talking about Ferguson, Sir Alex has just announced his retirement. I believe they will appoint his succseser from within the Club. My strong tip is Giggs ( working with an experienced man ) beating all the favourites.

get down to the bookies now!

07 May 2013 10:20:05
Bournemouth to sign strikers jed Wallace and Adam le fondre for prem push

07 May 2013 11:00:02
Wallace just signed new contract

07 May 2013 16:04:17
Wallace signing a new contract means nothing really, as much as I would love Le Fondre, I can see bigger clubs wanting him

07 May 2013 22:17:12
Why would we want Smith? he's not prolific & it's obvious to most, that AFCB could do with a big man up front alongside Pitman.

We're not going to make a Prem push straight away & we're not going on some mad spending spree. The plan is to survive & establish us as a Championship club.

07 May 2013 10:06:33

No, No, No,
Drury and Tubbs earn to much, Forte didn't impress during loan spell.

08 May 2013 11:34:42
Dont know about tubbs and forte but I do know that dury looks set to join crawley

Yeah Dury will be the Sparrow replacement. Good player.

Is it true Jermaine beck ford will go to crawley town fc in the summer?

07 May 2013 10:01:59
Jacques Maghoma from Burton to Middlesborough- pre contact signed a while back.

07 May 2013 09:48:26
any rumours for sheffield wednesday?

Rodger Johnson is a Target but wednesday will be looking for 6-7 first team signings.

As for the contract situations Buxton will be offered a deal as will J Johnson.

The loan players are more unclear, Olefanjana will sign a contract and I believe Helan and Lita will depend on how much there clubs want in a transfer fee.

We would go down if Rodger Johnson signed for us.

07 May 2013 09:46:20
Burnley to sign Ben Amos from Man Utd

07 May 2013 09:41:00
Burton Albion have released club legends Stanton, Corbett and Webster. Contract offers have been made to Calvin Zola, Jacques Maghoma and Matt Paterson - all three have offers from other clubs. Zola with Rotherham and Crawley, Maghoma with Middlesbrough and Coventry City and Paterson with Portsmouth and Crawley - all three may consider staying providing Gary Rowett does not depart to manage Sheffield United! Billy Kee although signing a three year contract six months ago is wanted by Sheffield Wednesday. Zander Diamond is also a target for newly promoted Port Vale.

Maghoma definitely coming to boro, is he any good burton fans? is he a winger or centre midfield

07 May 2013 09:40:42
Shrewsbury to sign George Bowerman following his release from Walsall.

Good for him he will end up scoring agsinst us in future hope its true great lad great footballer

Good luck to him whoever he signs for.

This is a distinct posibility as the lad has obvious potential.

If he sorts his attitude out then maybe he could make it. A move down to a club a level below Walsall like Shrewbury is probably what he needs.

Smith is the exact opposite of what Walsall look for. They're after young and hungry - Smith isn't that.

07 May 2013 09:34:14
Jason Walker will sign for Scunthorpe united by the end of the week

07 May 2013 09:28:22
Plymouth Argyle boss John Sheridan is set to sign Striker Bobby Grant from Rochdale later this week after being impressed by his performances in the 12/13 season!

Would be a good signing

07 May 2013 09:19:02
Accrington midfielder Amine Linganzi is set for talks with Bristol Rovers.

This is true, seen him down the mem yesterday when I was collecting my season ticket for the new season. he's good friends with Michael Smith apparently

Is high on John Wards list. Was recommended by Accys ex manager who is very good friends with JW.

If this is the tall lad that had number 27 on his back Vs the Gas then this will be a very significant signing - this lad and Otoole in the middle would be emense!.

Yes that was our no. 27. very good player and will be missed. hope we get a good enough fee to replace him.

Isn't he out of contract with Accrington Stanley?

Darre Purse from Plymouth?!

Sorry, My Bad

*Darren Purse - Port Vale - Free Agent

As a hull, fan I can assure you George boating does not want to work with Phil Brown, look for videos of him slating him when we were relegated

And your wrong, "Hull Fan". Boateng has stated he wants to work with Brown again. That was about 3 years ago, he would be a great signing for us anyway! Would definitely be a first team player, week in, week out!

No to boateng. timlin and laird is the way to go, we fell down the table because timlin was injured he actually works and can run unlike boateng who is probably worse the mwkandire.

Boateng would come in as a player/coach. Meaning that it will most probably be Timlin & Laird in the middle next season, with Hurst & Leonard (unless Brown brings in a new winger) on the wings.

Mark Little and Grant McCann have rejected new contracts at Peterborough in favour of joining Rotherham United. This will be officially announced on Wednesday. Also the player Evans was watching in Scotland was Billy McKay of Inverness who happened to score a hat trick in the game that the millers boss was watching.

Probably both will recieve offers from
clubs in championship, so doubt if Rotherham will attract them

Heard Rotherham are in for 2 bright youngsters currently playing in the Premier League! Loan deals on the cards!

They didn't reject new deals. there deals end june or july and are not to be renewed

Actually they have been offered new contracts according to DF yesterday.

07 May 2013 08:26:14
Cardiff to beat a host of other premier league teams to the signing of young Argentinian right back Gino Peruzzi. Club scouts and officials allready holding talks with the players club velez sarfield

One of the more believable rumours being that the top two scouts were sent to South America looking for talent last week.

Could well be true, it is reported that we sent scout to South America to look for talent

07 May 2013 07:48:39
Reading will look to re sign former winger James Henry from Millwall if they lose Robson-Kanu to Cardiff

Do we need 4 wingers in the championship? I think McAnuff, Kebe and McCleary is adequate then Obita as back up

That would be a terrible replacement but it doesn't matter anyway because HRK won't leave.

07 May 2013 20:22:39
He left Reading for a reason. Not good enough.

Millwall fan here, obviously you haven't seen James Henry at all this season, he has been fantastic, hope they don't sell him to Reading!

He left reading because he was young and couldn't get in your side now he's matured he's one of best wingers in league

He was in FourFourTwo's 50 best Football league players this year, so he can't be that bad!

Good player but I don't want him back

07 May 2013 06:57:53
Doncaster interested in St. Mirren loan duos Conor Newton, 21 and Paul Dummett, 21. Huddersfield and Bolton also looking at the pair!

07 May 2013 21:47:36
I heard good reports about Dummett a young left back who has a good time at the Buddies. We need a left back if Alonso goes.

I also like Jonathan Parr at Palace a hard working aggresive left back.

Both would be good signings.

07 May 2013 02:03:19
Hartlepool striker Luke James is joining Coventry for £50k. Defender Jack Baldwin is heading to Sunderland and Sam Collins will retire.

Coventry don't even know where they are playing next year let players to buy. James will cost more than 50K

Even if you make that fee 500k and you're still too low

06 May 2013 23:41:41
