Peterborough United will be completing the signings of Saido Berahino, Lyle Taylor and Alex Pritchard. All 3 wil join on permanent deals and will conclude Posh's summer business.

06 Jul 2013 23:39:52
Permanent deals don't make me laugh Pritchard is highly rated at spurs so he won't sign for us permanently and he was in the England u20 World Cup squad not happening loan maybe! Berinioho maybe especially now Anelka has signed for WBA. Taylor will only come if we get rid of Sinclair and Barnett

Pritchard and berahino will be season long loans if anything. we might sign taylor though. the other option would be luke freeman - who'd have guessed it!

We haven't got a chance of signing Berahino or Pritchard on permanent deals

Prichard already said he does not want to come back.
he said that near enough straight after we got relegated.
Not sure about Berahino he is a good finnisher but hasn't got a lot of pace

Taylor might come anyway because he knows aswell as we do that he will get in ahead of them.

Heard from Concord Rangers manager D.Cowley that Bradford City have offered Tony Stokes a trial.

Seems unlikely - we're well covered in centre mid and at 25 years old he's not exactly one for the future

06 Jul 2013 22:53:04
Bradford City are interested in taking Concord Rangers CM Tony Stokes on trial. The CM came through the youth ranks at West Ham and has scored an impressive amount of goals from Central Midfield for Concord Rangers in a 3 year spell.

How much money?

FAO fellow Forest fans:

We have had a fee agreed for Billy Sharp but he apparently rejected out first contract last week. Reading and Leicester have also had offers accepted and he is supposed to be in talks with Reading now and I'm told wants to stay South. The way Reading are throwing money about I think we might just have lost out here.

We're not trying to get Doyle in from Wolves.

Source: Same chap that told me about Lewis McGugan going to Watford.

SirCloughy

When have Reading fc thrown money around name me a few players

I'm not a Forest fan, but I personally wouldn't see Sharp not signing as a bad thing. He doesn't score enough goals to justify the big wages I'd expect he's looking for, and from what I've seen of him, can disappear in games at times too. A player like Paddy Madden from Yeovil, Pittman of Bournemouth, or even Tom Pope would all be cheaper, and in my opinion, better options

Sharp is ours!

We are not throwing money round Wayne bridge free transfer drenthe free transfer and Daniel Williams 3 million and it's a new manager has come in change the squard a bit in areas

Don't rate him doesn't score enough goals. !

Sharp is going to Reading because of Adkins

Hows pavel pogrebnyak working out?

Don't rate him doesn't score enough goals.!

Average 15 a season in the championship. Pretty good for any forward actually.

{Ed029's Note - I think that's a tad harsh. His last four seasons in the Championship below:

15 goals in 33 games
15 goals in 29 games
19 goals in 35 games
10 goals in 30 games

Pretty much a goal every other game can't be sniffed at to be fair.

You haven't been throwing money around to purchase these players but think how much money they will be on. You will be paying exorbitant amounts for their wages. Drenthe was at Real Madrid and stormed the Premier League with Everton, he will not be cheap and Williams was playing in the top division in Germany so both will be on high wages plus Bridges won't be cheap either {Ed029's Note - Williams approx £1.8m. Sharp believes to be about £1.5m. Pogrebnyak will leave but is on just shy of 60k a week (5k of which is an apartment in London. The Russian owner seems happy to pay big wages for the right players. Now we hope they 'are' the right players. Very tough league!! Money not always the answer.

Arsenal want two of the following players - Rooney, Jovetic, Higuain, Fellaini.

Rumours of Suarez are wide of the mark however he wants to move to London should he not be able to move to Europe.

London is in Europe. Just saying.

Blackpool set to sign Charles Dunne from Wycombe

Is he any good

Is he one of our trialists?

Yes he was, played 45 mins at left back yesterday.

Massive future for this lad, pacy for a tall player, can play cb or on left, and has a hell of a lot of strength, players literally bounce off him! Be massive loss to wycombe if he goes! He has potential to be even better than Matt Phillips (obviously different position)

From massive Wycombe fan, who also knew about Matt Phillips talent before he left

I agree a great future player he could play league 1 football at a high level at the moment, a great attitude. He is incredibly strong, with more experience could defiantly be a centre back or a holding midfielder (if his attacking threat improves). One of wycombe a top players

06 jul 2013 22:27:11
hull city are looking at signing lee camp to provide competition for allan mcgregor in the starting line up with it looking increasingly likely that eldin jakupovic is going to join a lower league club on loan

06 Jul 2013 22:22:42
I heard today that our Billy is off to Reading. Fee agreed and supposed to be in Reading on Monday for talks, probably medical too. Sad to see him go. I felt he should have got more of a chance last season.

Good luck Sharpy!

AllSaintSi

Wish him all the best. He will do himself proud there and help Reading immensely. A good lad who should've been given more of a chance

Agree with other posts, treated badly,
never given a chance to show what he could do, good luck Billy where ever you end up.
Top man.

All I can say if you buy one don't put a name on it threre could be changes.

Cheapest to watch a game in Germany is £11 yet their teams get to the European finals we pay about £26 let alone buying a shirt is the prem league as good as it thinks

The top teams in prem league have the pick of players then loan them out all over Europe the whole transfer system wants looking at especially the money agents get. Love to see it but we will never get to the top although producing some great talent at the acedemy

Saints may not get to the top but most of the team have come up through from div 1 some of the big buys like Ramires haven't put in a shift, just hope the acedemy players get a chance.

SOUTHAMPTON // READING // NEWS

Billy Sharp is in Reading for talks regarding a 3-year deal. No idea of fee, sorry.

Look after him, Reading. He's a top bloke!

SaintSteve

We will have him better than ALFIE he can only come of the bench and score sharp can stay on for more amount of time

Anyeone now the fee

£1.8m

Peter crouch will be a brighton player within the next week

Hope so. where did you get this info?

Out of thin air

Haha, no thank you

Is that why Stoke are reportedly interested in Jermaine Defoe to link the two back together again. Are you Brighton fans this years Leicester fans. Last year Leicester where signing everybody as they were going to get promoted. Just remember you are a seaside town with a small football club and then you will not be disappointed

Small? £100m Stadium, £10m Level 2 Academy on stream next year, 28,000 season ticket holders and no one near of any size for 50 miles (sorry Crawley). I`ll take that small.

Oh dear. This years Leicester fans. We have signed no one yet, get of your high horse this is a rumour site. I hardly think 23k season tickets and a town with 250k pop with surrounding areas making it 2.5m makes us small.
You are right we are a seaside city though very nice on a sunny day like today.

Reading your hitting out at brighton why? Jealous of what we have? Jealous of our stadium? Jealous of our new ex barclonea player manager with a 70% win rate? Jealous of hour established players? Or jealous that you know you will never get that man from Argentina and you will never get that man we all adore because we don't need Murray any more?

{Ed029's Note - Have you been drinking in the sun? There are no Reading replies above.

Crouch? ha. Some people need more to do during the day.

Hope so. We need a tall striker to head in goals from every angle. We'll get his career back on track.

It's is about as likely as Peter Crouch becoming a professional robotics dancer

06 Jul 2013 21:41:02
Take this as gospel fellow gers fans, our new centre half partnership for the new season is boris pandza & bilel mohsni, I will bet anyone any sum of money on this as I've got inside info on it, just and see my friends!BIG RAM

06 Jul 2013 20:19:11
wilfried zaha from man united will go to fulham for loan in exchange of 2.5 millions

Moyes to keep Zaha

Wouldn't want him on loan for nothing, let alone £2.5m.

He's better off at a team where he's needed, we are covered on both the right and left wing as well as up top.

Covered on the wings, perhaps. But 'up top'?
Rodallega's not quick enough, Trotta's not good enough, and Ruiz and Berbatov are going to need some help.

Trotta needs to be given a chance before being written off as not good enough.

I agree - and I wasn't writing him off, just stating that he isn't (currently) 'good enough'

Berba and Ruiz will need help?
unless you have some strength you can lend Ruiz and some pace you can lend them both, its a Striker that is required

Not sure it's in Berbatov contract that he has to run anywhere! Ruiz plays like he has got his handbrake on.

All agreed, then? Striker (s) required?
+ playmaker?

We need an out an out striker who can latch onto berba and Ruiz thru balls.

06 Jul 2013 18:17:16
Colchester have ex charlton centre back Yado Mambo on trial, they also have James Musa on trial with the u21's, he is an ex fulham centre/left back.

Also appear to have Anthony Cook on trial from Chelmsford and ex Arsenal striker Phil Roberts on trial too.

06 Jul 2013 18:11:29
Paddy Kenny will sign for Doncaster Rovers before the end if the transfer window. Andy.

I can't really see this, and I'm a rovers fan myself I think he's wages will hold us back more then anything

06 Jul 2013 21:59:51
He won't cost you much - Paddy is partial to a party or three, just give him vodka and Charlie. Leeds fans know what I mean! :)
Sawfeet

06 Jul 2013 17:07:11
Hearing that Crystal Palace have agreed a fee around £3m with Club Brugge for highly rated 20 year old defender Laurens De Bock

Wouldnt thinks so as he only joined brugge in january on a 4 1/2 yr contract for € 3 million

That didn't stop Dwight Gayle though did it?

06 Jul 2013 18:03:19
Dan seaborne on trial at itfc, on bench for friendly in Ireland today.

YEP 2-0 UP Murphy both goals, Seabourne on in second half COUB

06 Jul 2013 20:19:29
For gods sake, just keep him away from nightclub doormen! Good luck Dan.

COYR'S!

06 Jul 2013 17:13:09
Swansea are to tie up the Bony deal within the next 24 hours and are interested in QPR's Stephane M'bia.

Hope we do! Bony's agent is getting frustrated that a deal hasn't been completed!

06 Jul 2013 22:06:22
Swansea playing with a skeleton squad next season?

Skelton? bony is a tank

Nice to see another tall player as it goes, our debut season at the top we must of had an average team height of five and a'half foot lol, might even see the odd hoof every now and again with the likes of bony and michu up there, doubt it though too much class ;)

06 Jul 2013 16:08:47
Former Sunderland youth graduate Wade Joyce has joined Barnsley on a 6-month-deal.

Old news mate signed on Wednesday

His name is Wade, for Barnsley he's made, calls a spade a spade, the goal he will raid. He's likes to run, for fun, fun, fun, fun, no tackles will he shun, never gives up till he's done lol.

I heard he was staying at Sunderland.

Sunderland want to keep him, so no idea why Barnsley think he would go there.

Probs because he's signed a 6 month deal

06 Jul 2013 15:47:24
When Sunderland seal Jozy Altidore move, Middlesbrough will be given permission to open formal talks with Danny Graham over loan move. Inside source trust me

Anyone who says trust me is not to be trusted! lol!

I am not sure Graham would provide more goals than Macdonald if they played every game. I know Macdonald is very expensive in wages but why not play him consistently this season and I bet he will get the 20 goals that Graham is supposed to get. Now if Graham and Macdonald were played together then we would have a strikeforce!

06 Jul 2013 19:23:35
all Graham needs is a full pre-season and games-Paolo I would keep him!

With the exception of the first few games when mcdonald got back in the team he was shocking and I would much rather have lukas Jutkiewicz at St

Jutkiewicz and Graham op front with carayol and Ledesma on the wings! Defences tremble at the sight!

Agree with that but I'd prefer reach instead of ledesma mate

Would prefer reach to
Ledesma. he's just awful

Adam reach over ledesma anyday! ledesma shows flashes of brilliance then plane crazyness!

Ledesma has the ability to be one of the best players in the league, he just needs to find some consistency and adapt to the way we play

This is the squad i'd love next season

GK: Steele

DEF: Hoyte Wheater Williams Friend

MID: Adomah Whitehead Leadbitter Carayol

ST: Graham Juke

now that squad would win promotion

If it stayed fit?

06 Jul 2013 15:11:01
Burton close to completing loan deals for Derby defender Tom Naylor and Wigan goalkeeper Lee Nicholls.
Gary Rowett also working on a 'big name' signing, but no indication as to who this is as yet.

06 Jul 2013 15:00:13
stoke to trial julien ngoy one of belgiums hottest properties and also sergi roberto from barcelona 100% true

Ngoy would be a class addition

Literally the top ten teams in the world are monitoring his situation. Don't expect him at Stoke.

Well if all goes well on his 2 weeks here Stoke will sign him

Don't get your hopes up. Anyway, he's only 15, he's one for the future, not for next season

Madrid, chelsea, barca, man city, man united, arsenal and PSG all want him, so can't imagine he is even have a trial at stoke! which is a shame for us

This is actually 100% sure so is Roberto, Ngoy said he rather start at a small club and work his way up he's 16 in a while so stoke could get him on a 4 year contract

Maybe but don't think it will be a 4 year contract though maybe 2

I don't post regular and I know he's 1 for the future but he is at Stoke for the next 2 weeks this is guaranteed I promise whether he will sign is another issue

06 Jul 2013 14:55:31
Danny Murphy could make a suprise move and join Bury to link up with his cousin, Ben Futcher, who is a coach at the shakers.

That ud be nice.

That would be very nice

No chance, too good for L2

Would love to have seen him appointed as boss for next season but alas we are stook with big Kev.

KB is a good manager, so I don't understand why you make out that we're stuck with him. don't think for one minute that danny murphy would be better in charge because that is plain deluded. KB will do well. God knows where this rumour came danny would never play for us.

KB was always a risky appointment last season and where you get it that he's a good manager is beyond me. He won 9 games out of 38 not great. How is he going to do any better this season?.
As for Murphy he's inexperienced in terms of management but has more contacts in the game. I would expect he would probably be one of those guys who would just use our club as a platform and would always be looking for a better job elsewhere.

Because he tells everyone he's a good manager and occasionally someone falls for it. Blackwell says a lot of things that aren't true and this is one of them.

You are talking rubbish, kevin Blackwell as done well at all the clubs he as managed given the tools for the job, last season he had nothing and nearly saved us, so judge him at the end of the season on merit

Kevin Blackwell has only done a half decent job at clubs with bigger resources at their disposal.

Leeds United & Sheffield United both had decent youth set ups and produced quality time after time despite having to sell their best players.

Look at the junk loan signings he made last season can you honestly tell me that he picked out any gems aside from Docherty, Poleon, zubar etc.

For every 5 players he brings in 1 might perform to a decent level. Just like our poor strikers last season missing all of those chances.

The percentage game of football is more than having the odds stacked against you it's coming up trumps with some aces.

Nearly saved us? We were 11 points adrift at the end of the year! Oh sorry, I forgot we were 14 points adrift of everyone in the league when Blackwell came in even though we'd only played eight games.

florent malouda and victor moses (loan) to wba next week.

Have West Brom actually got any players or are they the premier league's answer to Watford? All we ever here is West Brom and loan in the same sentence

07 Jul 2013 11:04:56
West Brom have got loads of good players. But our Chairman is a very good buisness man, and that why West Brom am a wealthy club. Sometimes us Albion Fans don't agree with how he runs the club. But if it was not for Mr jeremy Peace. We could be like The Dingles (wolves), Portsmouth or Leeds with No Premiership Football. ATID

06 Jul 2013 14:27:36
Tottenham will try to follow up the signing of Paulinho by agreeing a deal for Barcelona striker David Villa

06 Jul 2013 14:26:09
Preston North End manager Simon Grayson will wait until Tuesday for a decision from Kevin Davies, when he will then turn his attention to Stevenage's Lucas Akins who is believed to be keen on returning to the North.

06 Jul 2013 15:53:57
we won't sign any players from Stevenage FACT we are looking at prem loans

Which "Prem club" is Kevin Davies being loaned from?! Grayson is looking to bring in a target man and a pacey young striker on loan. Two of the players they've contacted are Akins who I think is from Yorkshire (?) and Rene Howe but Howe doesn't want to move north. Don't be too surprised to see Beardsley return to Stevenage as part of the deal.

06 Jul 2013 20:41:26
well you don't know anything about preston, we will not sign any players from Stevenage as they are not good enough as for Beardsley I will drive him to westley, the prem striker preston want is from man utd

If someone writes they'll drive Beardsley to stevenage ill scream

Two words; Scott and Laird.

I will drive beardsley to stevanage

Davies is signing for Sheffield Wed. The Chairman returns from holiday on Tuesday to finalise business.

If you read the Mirror article from Monday, he stated that he's not looking to leave the area he lives so that makes Pne his likely destination these owl fans need to get a grip. Plus if you have seen the pic of the new pne kit its him that's modelling it.

06 Jul 2013 14:25:30
florent malouda to wba next week.

West Brom = Newcastle French

06 Jul 2013 14:08:12
Hull have cooled their interest in striker Charlie Austin because they are unwilling to match Burnley's asking price. The Tigers will look at other striker targets.

Unlikely. looks like a deal has been done as Charlie has been saying some goodbyes today!

Good ridance to austin, should remember where he came from, greedy lad

Charlie is considering a new contract with Burnley as the teams that have come in aren't a step up apart from one season in the prem with Hull.

It says hull and burnley have agreed fees, so were getting Austin.

Austin wants to go back down south

It says on tv that a deal for a move to hull is close

So austin wants a new contract at burnley while he wants to move down south, officals are much clearer and more to the point he is near a deal with us

06 Jul 2013 21:14:01
austin or hooper or any decent striker won't sign for hull they don't want to come to hull and i'm a hull city fan

Looks like a deal has been done as Charlie has been saying some goodbyes today hull city ha ha

Charlie having second thoughts tonight, move to Hull is not clear cut as TV making out, a late bid received from QPR.

You lot make me laugh. hull city are in the prem. we earned it, we might only spend 1 season there but you lot can pretend to be in iy

Hull are interested in taking free agent carlton cole as charlie austin deal has fallen through

07 Jul 2013 11:57:01
Im a Cardiff fan I think Austin could be a good player in the premiership, we are to quick in Britain to right off British players, Austin could be the next Rodriguez if you ask me

07 Jul 2013 13:22:56
Charlie austin is a top pro paid his due's at swindon and burnley now he should be given his chance at the top table and fair play to burnley for holding out on a fee which he is well worth but to hull really? He is better than them should of got his move to everton or villa if benteke goes chelsea don't be surprised if villa stick a bid in

You lot make me laugh.
1/ Charlie's girlfriend hates Burnley and Hull will be worse.
2/ Charlie has put in an offer on a house in Canford Cliffs ( that's in Poole)
Eddie Howe stated in an interview recently which is on youtube that if he had the funds he would take Charlie with him where ever he went.
Howe will now have the funds available due to FFP rules including the £60 a ticket Real Madrid game.
Hull ha ha
He will come home and surprise a lot of people but for only one season

Charlie having medical at hull

No disrespect but how can you compare Hull with Burnley both as a place and as a football team. Whether the Tigers go down or not the guy deserves a crack at the top table, life is all about bettering yourself end of story and I am sure his girlfriend will see it that way. By the way Hull is short listed to be the city for culture 2013.

Bournemouth fans! I appreciate you ardour! But please get real and stop playing big time Charlie's!! We are on the premier league, if you seriously believe that you can compete, fair play! Austen will be playing premier league football next season either with us or Norwich! So forget the dream talk and concentrate on supporting AFCB and trying to help them survive I'm a very tough league!

"You lot make me laugh. " - Seems the joke's on you.

06 Jul 2013 14:01:59
leeds are to announced that they've bought back elland road with the help of red bull and the stadium will now be called the red bull stadium all though all us true fans will still know it as elland road

06 Jul 2013 14:50:25
Will it be called Red Bulland Road or Red Bellend Road?

A true leeds fan cracking lol

Listen, call it what you like? As long as the whites keep winning we don't care.
At least we're not named after a cows t**ts.

Cant tell all these comments are from those person town fans that think there a bigger clun than the mighty whites

Any news on Adam le fondre

Am. no it hasnt

Think as Leeds fans we should get rid of the word RED and call it the WHITE BULL STADIUM

06 Jul 2013 13:19:12
Ex-Premier League striker Carlton Cole a target for David Flitcroft to bring to Oakwell if he will take a substantial pay cut from his last contract, interest from elsewhere so unlikely to sign but Barnsley still want him nonetheless.

He's a London boy. So looking for a london club. Plus he's never passed a medical in his life do to iffy knees

Doubt it mate way out of our league when it comes to wages .Bet Huddersfield are interested though

Not much chance of Cole coming to Oakwell wages would be too high and as been said what's to stay down south.

Hope not, rather have someone from non league with hunger, he would come expecting to walk in to the team. any way we've danny rose to step up to job.

We can't afford charlton cole surely

Post from some one who probably had too much sun yesterday

NO chance

Why would barnsley want him? he just an over-rated, over-paid version of odejayi

Carlton Cole stacks better than what we have up front already.

Another overpaid and overrated footballer if you ask me

If we could afford him and he'd take a massive wage cut then yes he would be quality for us but he won't come here I can grantee that

06 Jul 2013 13:59:50
Any other afc wimbledon rumours or gossip

NA wants a striker and a midfielder. Interest has been confirmed in a loan deal for Emmanuel Oyeleke of Brentford.

Centre back Rhys Weston on trial. Played very well today.

Gary Hooper spotted in Reading today. Kevin Doyle spotted yesterday.
Steve sidwell is thought to be having a medical
Should be released on official website on Monday.

Hooper is in germany

Erm garry hooper is in germany playing tonight for celtic stop telling lies

Hooper is in Germany with Celtic on there pre season tour and is in the 18 man squad for the match against Clug later this afternoon so that's made up nonesense.
gms

06 Jul 2013 14:19:02
I am sorry, but I don't believe any of these. Would love hooper, def don't want Doyle and Sidwell would add nothing to the team or squad. {Ed029's Note - We wouldn't match Celtic's valuation. Doyle is supposed to be on his way to Celtic (possibly if Hooper leaves, not sure) and Sidwell seems to still be in favour at Fulham.

Why would we sign all of the players we used to have?

It's possible to be in Reading in the morning and Germany in the evening.

06 Jul 2013 14:47:03
hooper is going to forest, many forest players and local journos followed him on twitter yesterday

No forest players followed him just a few of their fans thinking they will get him but they can keep dreaming

05 Jul 2013 23:59:15
Hi ed, can you confirm if Alan Hutton has been released by Aston Villa and is on his way to mallorca?
Scottish amigo

{Ed029's Note - Hutton can go for a fee but has not been released.

06 Jul 2013 12:56:20
Reading and Russian international Pavel Pogrebnyak is in talks with Cardiff City over a £3m move.

The striker has told Reading owner Anton Zingarevich he wants to stay in the Premier League and at his age he can't afford to drop a level, even if it may only be for one season. The striker has a £3m relegation release clause and Cardiff have activated it. It remains to be seen if they can match his £45k a week wages.

RedTit

I hope not as I was looking forward to him play a part in Adkins new style Reading team. He didn't get the service or have the team play to his strengths under McDermott style of hoofball for most of last season. Would like him to stay.

I'd happily drive him there myself if that were true, useless striker, always falling over and losing the ball, pretty sure this isn't true though

There is train from reading station leaving at 5pm

what there he might not be FAST enough to get that one
try the 8pm

I'd happily drive him there myself if that were true, useless striker, always falling over and losing the ball, pretty sure this isn't true though

I've found most people of this opinion are either fiercely loyal to McDermott and won't acknowledge that Brian's hoofball left pog feeding off scraps all season. Or they know knowing of football.

Cardiff are intrested in saviolla who is a free agent

Scott parker could be on his way to Cardiff and gareth barry

Cardiff close to singning tom ince

Hope not!

I would happily have him back at Fulham, never seen him used to full advantage at Reading.

Reading closing in on striker Louis Saha after the Lazio strikers release from Lazio.

Do you think this is true ed?

Reading closing in on striker Louis Saha after the Lazio strikers release from Lazio.

I think Nigel is after youth and hunger not ancient journey men after one last pay check

05 Jul 2013 23:06:44
Any ideas on who these mystery players are for Reading Ed? Feel we need a striker

{Ed029's Note - One is definitely a striker. We were looking at Beric, but he's gone elsewhere. Interest in Hooper was genuine but wont match the price needed. NH expects two to leave as well, so we may need more than two before the window closes. Pog will go!

Pog's leaving? {Ed029's Note - Almost certain he will go.

I'd be fine with Pog leaving. We don't need him in the Championship. Cash in on him and bring in a young player to develop with Alfie

^ I agree but who do you think we shoud sign? I personaly would like sharp and austin signed and poss eisfeld.

Kembo-Ekoko from Al-Ain would be a great signing for the royals

^ I agree but who do you think we shoud sign? I personaly would like sharp and austin signed and poss eisfeld.

Glad we agree. Apart from who you named (as it seems Sharp is entering the fold soon), and completely unfounded, but maybe a Connor Wickham on loan or perm wouldn't be such a bad idea. With the addition of an in form Jozy Altidore, Wickham won't be getting to much time on the pitch. Big, strong kid, and an England youth Int. , might as well poke Sunderland with some offers (thats just me though)

Swindon town will announce a triple signing next week of pritchard and byrne from tottenham and a major signing in jerome sinclair a young forward from liverpool on a seson long loan.

06 Jul 2013 13:01:06
Don't you have to be certain age to go out on loan ed? Jerome Sinclair is only 16 still.

An Dun Red

This is true all to be announced on Monday

Trevor francis was 16 when he palyed for brum against the Town at the CG was brilliant young player

Blackpool FC want to loan Thorgan Hazard from Chelsea. M'Boro also interested.

Really? if we manage to get him on loan ill be suprised {Ed003's Note - I'll be doing somersaults lol }

Have enquired, I suspect this will alert teams like Anderlecht and he will end up playing in Europe. Would be a great addition, but is more hopeful than anything else

It's not Eden hazard, it's his brother

Obviously it's not Eden Hazard that's why it says Thorgan Hazard.

06 Jul 2013 11:15:59
Crystal Palace are set to sign Brightons Liam Bridcutt for a fee of £4m.

I wished we had signed him instead of Joe Allen.

Yeah right. We've already lost Glenn Murray and Stephen Dobbie to Palace in the last few years, we won't let another one go.

Won't go for less than 6 million

7 million palace will have to pay

He's currently the lead man on advertising the new strip for this year - a move away is very unlikely.

Do you have a source claiming this?

Who cares if he's the lead man on advertising? So is Luis Suarez at Liverpool but he'll be leaving so what a pointless comment ****head!

Walsall fc are debating making a bid for Middlesborough striker/ winger ledesma and stoke midfielder cuvelier after there recent windfall from paterson and grigg sales. Could be a possibility if there available at a low price and its walsall fc 125 anniversary so want to show some ambition

Why would Ledesma drop down a league to go back to Walsall?

Ledesma deal is not true, Mowbray sees him firmly in this season plans

Relax many Walsall supporters do not want Ledesma back as he does not fit into the side anymore, we need strikers not midfielders, come on saddlers

Cuvelier will be in Stokes squad plans next season, very bright prospect. don't see him leaving Stoke

I really hope flo co will be playing for stoke this season.

Florent is hoping to impress Hughes but if not will go on loan to championship side. He is settled in Stoke and does not want move

Cause stoke is miles from Walsall not

No offence but you have no idea if he is settled and doesn't want to move. Can't see Hughes letting him go, however.

chaplow on his way back to burnley, millwall were on the verge of signing him until burnley came in for him, utc

It would'nt 'SURPRISE' me! SHAME if this does happen, but move on SL will find someone else!

Rubbish chaplow will join millwall, as sl has sold his plans to him we're going for attacking football and chaplow will be a regular in his plan. plus we can afford his wages, burnley can't!

I hope not?!

Welcome home Chappy!

Ok if I wrong so be it. I posted the op, nowt against the wall but that is what I am told

Please let Millwall be his destination. Overrated first time round at Burnley purely on the basis of his home town status, done little in his career that makes him a worthwhile punt.

It's all gone 'quiet' on the millwall sites! what's 'happening'? i wonder? coyl

Still say at the wages Chaplow will be a luxury, he did play well true, but we have a number of wide players now, especially if it is true, DNG will play wide, that is Henry, Feeney, Martin and DNG, as well as Malone, who didn't do that bad there and Woolford, I know this is boring. But the wage Bill, we have potentially 6 wide players all drawing wages, do we need another?

"Please let Millwall be his destination. Overrated first time round at Burnley purely on the basis of his home town status, done little in his career that makes him a worthwhile punt. "

Great player just what burnley are missing, an attacking midfielder who makes things happen. The above post is a typical blinkered burnley fan. we could sign Messi and still some Burnley fans would complain he was too small!

Woolford, Malone and DNG can all go too free up some space on the wage bill.

Easily solved get shot of malone, dng, woolford, all three no more than bench warmers or playing in the stiffs, none can really change a game or make an impact and as for malone doing ok on the wing are you sure! you need therapy my lad! chaplow worth all three players wages put together!

Missed the point again, before Morisson came in Batt went. Before Bywater came in Mildenhall went. Do you get the pattern. Also Wilkinson and Taylor leaving left room for Martin. So I would love Chaplow, until you see movement out probably not going to happen. Malone and Woolford would not go to lge 1, unless someone was going to pay the wages. So will they go. Amber is not such a mug, he as the rules summed up, so where are the palyers you want rid of going, don't see Managers queing for them do you?

To missed the point - Wilkinson agreed to sign for Bolton in April, Taylor turned down a contract extension around the end of the season and Mildenhall's contract wasn't extended at the end of the season. Doesn't really fit your convenient pattern.

They all left, before new players came in was my point, so before new players come in, someone will leave. The pattern is not convenient but matches the financial situation of Millwall. I know many would like the Lions to break the bank and end up in Administration, I prefer the slow incremental steps as it happens, one of the wage bill, and one in.

Shrewsbury are lining up another friendly with a foreign team. most likely to be a French or German team. Not announced who yet but believed to be Toulouse.

I know it's not a transfer rumour but I thought I would share it anyway

Need to sign players not friendlies

We are in talks with several clubs and players. The transfer window hasn't even been open a week yet. Keep the faith!

Wouldnt be at all surprised if by the end if next week we will have signed 3 or more players

06 Jul 2013 10:18:34
Rumours are that Bradley Wright-Phillips will join Walsall FC in trinidad in the next few days, he is currently in new york with the red bulls. Wright-Phillips would be perfect for Walsall as they play a nice smooth passing game and he would be able to improve and develop at the club

Apparently the deal with walsall is almost done and he will sign for them when they return from their Trinidad tour

06 Jul 2013 19:57:51
I have also heard he will be joining Walsall. Decent replacement for there last seasons top scorer Will Grigg

06 Jul 2013 10:10:31
Bradley Wright Phillips will turn down Brentford and other clubs to sign a 3 year deal at Walsall replacing last seasons top scorer Will Grigg.

What a load of rubbish they can't afford him, he will go notts county or brentford

Boro are currently working on deals for:
Wheater - Swap with Emnes
Hazard - Loan
Graham - Loan
Adomah - £1m - £1.5m
Ebanks-Blake - Free

Wheater and Graham deals dependant on McDonald leaving, club have offered to mutually terminate his contract.

Adomah money to come from sale of Rhys Williams

If we sell Williams then we won't have a defence!

06 Jul 2013 09:50:53
Derby have enquired for the availability of Coventry defender Cyrus Christie. City are in no position to demand a fee and Clough believes he can get the RB/CB for under a mil. Bargain at his age.

According to the daily star Huddersfield Town are also interested. Same 2 teams wanting the same player. Let's hope like Vaughan, he joins the terriers

We gave up on Vaughan. Wanted too long to make a decision (holiday I think) so we chased Russell instead. So, technically, we weren't really head-to-head with Huddersfield.

I don't think we (derby) would be desperate to sign him unless Brayford goes. Would supruse me if he went Hudds

Hope Keogh has a word. :-)

Fair play to Christie for going to another club any play under contract at the minute can't wait to get out if the club.

Sad to see him go, he'll probably make a very good 1st division player very quickly.

06 Jul 2013 09:50:34
Swansea have made a firm enquiry for Blackburn striker Jordan Rhodes.

No thanks. The Swans are not going to pay over the odds for a championship benchwarmer

Championship benshwarmer! everyone slagged him off when he was leaving TOWN saying he would not cope in the Championship, tally for three years in Div 1 23, 22, 40, in Championship 30, plus internationals, give him a ball and he will score

06 Jul 2013 09:40:04
Alan Gow to move to Bristol Rovers next week.

06 Jul 2013 09:27:30
Ipswich table offer for bartz gk said to be 1 million of notts county

Town interested but won't be paying a million for him.

More like 100k plus addons!

£1 million! Ha! We won't be paying that much money for any single player this season. That's for sure.

Well you won't be getting hm then

He's got to be worth 1m+ in today's market. clubs like Ipswich take the mick because he plays in league one now but they clearly know he will strengthen their team. but don't want to pay.

The fellow pole is worth so much more then 100k so don't come that rubbish! He is worth 1m easy! He will smash the championship and belongs in the prem! If Bart goes then all the best but notts need to make some lolly on him! Hope he stays as he's quality but spies is on his trail, he's quick sharp and good reflexes that's why man united was looking at the boy! Coyp!!

Don't want him anyway much better players then him

He'll be good cover to the much better Loach.

2nd keeper for an average league one side, 100k maximum.

We are trailing 2-3 different keepers at tjein and already have 1 of our own so its extremely unlikely we have offered a mill for one

The sale of Bartz thought to be 600K will bring BWP and Danny Haynes to the Notts line up

Im a notts fan but I have to disagree with both of you he's not worth 1million but he's worth more than a 100k i'd say being realistic 400-500k

Hes not the second keeper for us he is definitely our best keeper and worth much more than 100k

I don't think Mick will want to pay that much for a possible third choice-keeper, especially now it looks like Dean Gerken is closing in on a contract at Town.

06 Jul 2013 09:14:42
Blackpool have offered kevin mcdonald of sheffield united a contract but looks like he's stayin where he is at the moment, a few others also interested

How can they offer him a contract when he's still under contract at united? Unless your saying we have accepted an offer or Blackpool are going behind the clubs back?

Middlesbrough ins

David wheater ( Bolton )
Thorgen hazard ( Chelsea )
Albert adomah ( Bristol city )
Obafemi Martins ( Seattle dc )
Danny graham ( Sunderland )
Outs
Seb Hines ( hull )
Marvin emnes ( Bolton )
Scott MacDonald ( motherwell )

Oba isn't leavving seattle he loves it there and he's their top scorer so they obviously won't let him leave after just a few months and even if he did leave it wouldn't be to a championship team

If martins comes to BORO we are Premier League next season.

You won't get Wheater unless we sign Dawson! Hazard has gone back to Belgium. I seriously doubt that Dougie is interested in Emnes at the kind of prices Boro want for him, he's not worth that much. There are better wingers out there, we have been linked with Raheem Sterling and Kerim Frei with loan moves, younger and hungrier!

Why would hull buy hines who is injured until late 2013.

Obafemi Martins just signed for Seattle Sounders so not happening. The others are likely but doubt Hines will go to Hull and how can Motherwell pay his wages?

Seb Hines isn't moving an inch.

Highly doubt martins

Wheater been offered a new deal at Bolton.

Because Middlesbrough can afford them signings? Wages + transfer fee! Don't be silly!

Seb hines won't go to hull. we already have enough defenders, and need strikers. anyway, he ain't good enough for prem imo

It would have been if we'd paid that much for him

Hines is only good enough for L1/2. So Hull will not sign him. The rest are pure conjecture. Nobody knows how much money Boro have to spend and whether Macdonald is going or not but only Gibson can answer that one and he ain't speaking. So expect nothing and anything else is extra. I think the 'class' players will need to be loans.

Bolton fans/people say that Wheaters been offered a new contract, doesn't mean to say he'll accept it though.

Boro fans/people are saying Middlesbrough are planning to bid to buy Wheater back. It doesn't mean the bid will be accepted!

So many clubs seem so sure they are signing Albert Adamoah, I am keen to find out where he does end up.

For the record I don't care where he goes, I just hope its to the highest biddder.

West ham update
Forgt zapeta or bony, hammes real forward targets are a loans for duelofeu from barca and remy from qpr.
Duelofeu would be straight Season loan and we are in pole position over spurs and Everton as we can offer regular first team football. Remy will be a loan with option to buy at around £5 million.
Expect other deals for sane at £3 million and a box to box midfielder as yet unconfirmed, but rumoured to be an exciting youngster from holland? I think his may be fer, but that is a pure guess!
Come on you irons.

You have no money. And the only players alladice will by are 6-7 foot strikers for a game of smash it up field and hope for the best.

Huddersfield looking at an outside chance of landing Sean Morrison again from Reading.

As a Huddersfield fan, I would be happy to see him join the terriers but I don't think we will get him which is a shame.

Why am I not surprised

If by outside you mean no then I completely agree

Not a chance! He's just broken into the first 11 at Reading who are much more ambitious than bottom half team Huddlesfield!

06 Jul 2013 12:58:06
this guy must have had a good sleep last night, cause the only way youll be getting him is in your dreams

Morrison
He would jump at the chance to come back to Huddersfield whatch it happen

Town fan from Reading

{Ed029's Note - He proved last season he can be a big player here, and he impressed at times in the PL. If he leaves it will be for a top end Champ side minimum, not Huddersfield. Also the club can't afford to lose a centre-back.

06 Jul 2013 15:55:34
How do you know hudds won't be a top end champ side next season. Would have been v. close to play-offs had Beckford stayed fit last year. as for not being ambitious - you are having a laugh. One of the best run and ambitious clubs in the league and one of the few with a chance of satisfying ffp. There is a big diff between suicidal spending and ambition.

Well said no such thing has top half and bottom half just look at the teams have gone into league 1 in the last few years ie wolves leeds sheff wed cov etc etc

Ed29. What constitutes a top end championship club? Hudds were only 10 points off playoffs! Giving it large just like Wolves & Blackburn last season & look where they finished!

{Ed029's Note - Far from giving it large and no offense meant either. Morrison proved himself here and in the PL. It's a credit to his development that a move to Hudds now would be a step backwards.

Huddersfield will finish above Reading this year so on that fact alone Huddersfield must be a top end championship club. Ed what do you make of that? {Ed029's Note - I'll have 5 pints on you being wrong. Loser has to pay up at the next meeting between the clubs. You taking that bet? I'll log your IP and pop back in May ;)

"Morrison -He would jump at the chance to come back to Huddersfield whatch it happen"

Because every player who has had a successful top flight breakthrough decides to give up being in the first 11 of a club tipped to bounce right back to sign for mid to lower championship team. I think this is very much Huddersfield fans having delusional issues.

06 Jul 2013 19:05:46
i`ve seen hudds play in front of over 40,000 at home in the 1970`s. A Reading fan will never be able to say that. 12 years in the wilderness of L1 might make you believe hudds are a small club. Trust me they are the essence of the sleeping giant. Dean hoyle is the alarm clock. {Ed029's Note - Living in the past wont win you trophies in the present. Your attendances don't suggest you're a sleeping giant either tbf. Good luck next season.

Wish peeps would stop knocking hudds, we'll be challenging soon and within 5 years reckon we'll be knocking on the premier league door! There Just jealous these fans from other clubs who know there club ain't ambitious!

06 Jul 2013 20:47:36
15, 500 average. pretty good in this financial climate. Ed. drew liverpool in fa cup in 1999 and had 100,000 applications for tickets excluding liverpool fans. Never going to make c`ship games against the likes of QPR and reading attractive to the people of hudds. The past is what defines who your club is. ask Liverpool. {Ed029's Note - I agree, so why the big club little club comments at Reading? In the 3 seasons in the PL we have always sold out our allocation each game. Away occasionally let us down (Wigan, Man City protest last season etc) In the Champ average 19k consistently. Near 15k STH's for next season. I merely pointed out if Morro was to leave he would go to a top end club (chasing auto promotion or PL club - Norwich and WBA enquired last season). Never a dig at Huddersfield. You are where we were 7 seasons ago. Building sensibly piece by piece. You'll become a PL club eventually I'm sure and then you can propel from there I'm sure.

Ed
let's make it a round £50 you can drop the money off in either Reading or Huddersfield and you won't have to wait till the end of the season as I think Reading will do a Wolves this year. {Ed029's Note - I'll take that bet. IP logged. See you Sat 29th of March ;)

Like James Vaughan, Sean enjoyed his loan spell so much and made so many good mates that he would forego a move to a 'bigger' club just to experience the Town factor again. If you watched the tv programme 'Town' you'll also appreciate why West Yorkshire is such a draw as well! {Ed029's Note - I lived in WY for 5 years. Don't tell me fibs ;)

To the guy who had ed the £50 bet, i'm a town fan through and through but no way will town end up higher than reading your deluded pal.

Nobody cares what huddersfield fc done in the 70s or during the war you have to go by the last 10 years and Reading fc have been better simples

The person who's saying reading are going to get relegated this season is a stark raving Looney. there's no chance have you seen the players they have signed or the manager they have got automatic promotion for them

Morro would never go there he loves it at reading his best mates here, the fans love him, he loves us and Adkins rates him H

Reading you sound just like Blackburn last season this hiz the hardest league to get out off many clubs in this league have spent big money for years and got knowwere they are bigger clubs in this league than reading {Ed029's Note - Agreed. Very competitive league and far more exciting than the PL in my opinion. Reading are by no means banking on an easy ride, far from it.

I think if Morrison was to leave Reading and town were still interested he'd definitely want to discuss a move here, but the fact is he's a starting 11 player for Reading so unless that changes we won't be getting him.

To all of the above. He's a Reading player who I'm sure enjoyed his time at Huddersfield and I'm sure sees his time there a just one more stepping stone in his career. He'll be a prem player with or without Reading but certainly not ever with Huddersfield. Sorry.

That's your opinion, granted, but you unless you're psychic how can you say he'll never play in them prem for Hudds? For all anyone knows, Reading could do a Wolves with Hudds gradually strengthening and challenging, possibly even gaining promotion in a few years.

I can say it because he'll be too old to play at the top level by the time Huddersfield get themselves into the premiership. He'll play premiership football either with or without Reading but he will never for Huddersfield as they are way off entering the EPL. Sorry again but it's true.

Swansea set to sign Remy for 5m and bony for 14m with 2m add ons
Because gomis is heading to russia

Bony probably, remy no chance.

Remy and bony would be amazing together! But we couldn't afford remy wage demands

Lyon want to sell to anyone who puts in a decent offer. But Gomis has stated his move will only go through if his sporting ambition is made even if he earns less. It is the 3rd time Lyon is trying to sell him so it shows he s keen to hold his word and stay at lyon this season if no better club offers. Maybe Swansea does not have so much recognition yet and that s why he s not moved yet. No chance of course of him moving to Russia

Remy on 75k a week. He'd have to take a 40k pay drop

Or maybe Gomis is waiting till his contract ends so he can get a big fat signing on fee from someone

06 Jul 2013 17:03:42
Remy would be great so long as he doesn't go to prison!

Wages for Remy could be too much but would be a good deal for the right price.

Remy for 75K a week no way Swans.

Gomis could still be in the frame for Swansea as he knows he must move.

06 Jul 2013 02:12:33
Swansea are finding it hard to agree a deal with bony club because they asking for more swansea have put a final bid in which is 14m and 2m with add ons and huw jenkins have said he will look into plan B if they miss out on bony because of his club, bony as told the club that he wants to move to swansea which he nearly agrred personal terms, wounder whos Plan B

Plan b= loic remy from qpr

Deal done well done Huw and Michael.

06 Jul 2013 02:08:38
Tony Mowbray is keen on signing a 40 game a season defender.
Chris Baird, Chris Berra, Roger Johnson, Karl Henry and Frederic Veseli have all been discussed. - inside source

Baird is too good for that league

I will drive johnson and henry there myself berra can walk needs some exercise

06 Jul 2013 01:56:01
Middlesbrough in talks for
Danny Graham - loan with view to permanent deal.
Thorgan Hazard - loan
Chris Baird - free agent
Frederic Veseli - free agent
Carlton Cole - free agent

Coles wages will be to high for us and I can't see hazard making his way to the riverside.

06 Jul 2013 01:38:34
Bury to sign Bangor City striker Les Davies on a two year deal, similar model to Craig Jones and was longlisted for World Player of the Year 18 months ago

He's a great player is Davies. The day we went to Bangor last season to see him play, he was on fire, will be a good signing.

Have you actually seen him? I play for Newtown and yes he's a good goalscorer but absolutly no where near football league standard. Plus overweight.

06 Jul 2013 01:02:36
So, as I told you yesterday, Luton have signed Luke Guttridge. Expect that to be the end of our summer business, especially inwards, unless anything drastic comes up. Only name I've heard is Scott Doe but can't see it now after we signed Anthony Charles last week

05 Jul 2013 23:26:18
Doncaster are strongly linked with narki wells from Bradford and also Hanson from Bradford you heard it here first

Do Doncaster have £3.5-4 million for Wells? As he's worth about the same amount as Gayle that went from Peterborough to Palace. Then £1 mill for Hanson. Oh and it's Nahki not Narki. Can't see them both going to a place that struggles to attract fans week in week out.

06 Jul 2013 09:31:23
Good luck with that if Donny want to spend £2.5m plus

Lets hope they have plenty of cash then

No chance both not good enough they re ok in league 2

Haha 3. 5-4 for wells what planet you think your on? For an unproven league 1 player haha sort your head out

Do doncaster have money. Yes they do. 2 of the directors sold their share of the keepmoat company for £750million a few years back and that's before any other money they already had. Plus John Ryan has plenty. Difference is we do not go stupid with it but if they need to buy they and will

Sort your head out Donny aren't good enough for them give your head a shake and come bk when you have money to afford them

Lol. Since when do league 2 players (unproven at league 1) go for 4 million quid? Too much time on footy manager lol

Since they were as good as wells and hanson

I'd pay 4M for a decent PL forward, but for someone who is unproven at League one? Not a chance. Delusional BC fan

07 Jul 2013 07:12:53
Both played great against Swansea. Fourth tier players.

Wells is natural goal scorer and will prove it next season. If Gayle is worth 8mil then wells is worth 4 all day and night. We don't have to sell so get what we want for him. FACT

Both did well against Swansea. BC had one shot on target in 90 mins and that came from jones. Both players not for to lace Billy's boots.

Gayle wasn't worth 8M, it could potentially due to add-ons, but I think its something like 4. 5M, which I still think is ridiculous. Realistically I'd say maybe around 1M for Wells.

05 Jul 2013 23:24:53
Cresswell deal done set to be announced on Monday morning also sounds as though ex Accrington defender Mark Hughes could also join up with us really up for august got amongst the best team in the league and a number of players who will hit double figures

05 Jul 2013 23:19:28
Millwall to sign Wolves centre back Roger Johnson for a nominal fee

I would be happy if we only had to pay a nominal fee to get rid of this donkey.

Complete fantasy. Wall already have 4/5 central defenders plus he prob still on premiership wages. Another defender is far from what Millwall need.

You'll have to dig very deeply to find the funds to match his current contract and he won't move for less. Wolves are stuck with him.

Doubt it. Millwall have got 5 CBs already in Beevers, s***tu, Robinson, Osborne and Lowry.

Wages much too high for us

Same, four centre backs, until a LB comes in that willbe Lowry's position.

We need a Right, and left Back and a Midfielder imperative.

Strikers are Easter, Keough and Morrison.

Martin Left, Henry Right. No cover for Dunne and Lowry except reliable Jack Smith.

Could see Osborne in P/E by the way. let's see. Jackett knows he will not get many games if Robbo is fit.

05 Jul 2013 21:22:48
Louis dodds a target once again for sheffield united. david weir has expressed an ibtrest according to the sheffield star

Would like him to stay at Vale Park but I see his opportunities being limited with the squad MA is putting together

Really. considering Dodds has just signed a new deal with Vale and played last night in a friendly? I've just looked at the "source" - via the Sheffield Star website and can't see a single reference to it.

Has any clubs shown an interest in Marco Veratti as I think he is a top class footballer with bags of potential? and on another note where has the search function gone?
