Benjani to Celtic!

Ian Dowie is close to be becoming Notts County DOF this week with IM staying on as headcoach

Norwich Manager Paul Lambert is about to dip into the loan market. He will only be targeting players that he can loan and then sign permanently in January. Expect 2 of :
Anthony MacNamee (Swindon)
Adam Virgo (Brighton)
Albert Adomah (Barnet)
James Wilson (Brentford)

Expect to see Roy Keane given 3 games to turn things round with home games to Swansea and Watford and away to Plymouth failure will end up with either Neil Warnock or Gordon Stracan at the helm as owner Marcus Evans wans a passionate motivator if Keane can't change things around

Heard various rumours from sources regarding Arsenal transfer dealings. AW is looking at players in most positions and have heard the shortlisted players are:

GK – Green
CB – Cahill
CM – Vieira
DM – Cabaye/Matuidi
ST – Hazard/Keke

I've been informed that 2 players will come in and they are likely to be in the form of Cabaye and Hazard however the latter won't come in until AW shifts another forward as the club are already top heavy with strikers. Cabaye depends on the fitness of Song and Denilson – both are in great form Arsenal still need a holding player as midfielders at the moment are all very forward thinking. Cahill has been sounded out as a potential target however will demand similar fee to Upson so expect one of these to join in Summer. AW is as surprised as everyone else just how well Vermalean is playing but with Senderos set to leave in the Summer perhaps earlier a new CB will come in. Vieira is a great option for Arsenal and will be on the cheap but not convinced at his age that a transfer will come off. Green will replace spanish bound Almunia come the summer.

Rumor floating around Amsterdam at the moment is that Wenger will replace Almunia if not at Christmas then in the summer with Martin Stekelenberg from Ajax, also if Eduardo doesn't recover fully over the next 8 months then a bid for Suarez will be pushed through.

Defensively the only addition over the next 2 windows will be either Cahill from Bolton or Zapata from Udinesse.

The players wenger will push for in the summer will be lille's, Eden Hazard and Yohann Cabaye. also a possibility of Sakho from PSG.

anyone linking Gourcuff to any english team is waisting their time, he's madrid bound next summer, Zidane has said so.

Arsenal have an abundance of attacking flair, with Bendtner, Walcott, Vela, Arshavin, RVP, Fabregas, Rosicky, Diaby, Ramsey, etc in the squad, and with Eduardo and Nasri to return soon. Therefore there will not be significant additions to these departments in january. Wenger himself has said he will not sign Chamakh in January, though he may tie him to a pre–contractual agreement to sign him for free in the summer. players like van der Vaart are on Wenger's radar, however it is unlikely they will be signed. maybe if diaby were to leave in the summer Wenger would consider such a deal.
it is in defence that reinforcement is arguably required. We are ok in the full back positions, with Eboue, Sagna, Clichy, Gibbs and Traore. At centre back, Vermaelen and Gallas are clearly a force, but looking at the back up (Senderos – needs to go, Djourou – injured long term and Silvestre – crap) we need a new face. Gary Cahill is being looked at, as is Mamadou Sakho (considered long term replacements for the ageing Gallas, who may not sign a new deal after the tribulations of last season).
Mannone is playing well for such a young keeper, almunia is ready to return, therefore i question the future of Fabianski at Arsenal, esp when you consider the glowing reports about Szczesny in the reserves.
January outs: Senderos, youngsters (loan).
In: maybe Gary Cahill/Sakho/Zapata
Summer outs: Silvestre, Gallas (unfortunately), maybe Diaby, Fabianski
In: Chamakh/Keko, maybe van der Vaart, Edin Hazard.

ps, Vermaelen is the buy of the summer in the premiership, so glad we didn't go for Hangeland. our player of the season so far. Vieira will not return as a player, tho he and henry may well return after they retire in coaching capacities, because they love the club and are both in the top 5 of our greatest ever players.

Carson Yeung is getting worried at Birmingham's sudden collapse in form, and is willing to give Alex McLeish only until the start of December to turn it around, or he will be sacked

Carlo Ancelotti will make a £8, 000, 000 bid for dimitar berbatov with saloman kalou going the other way.

Bournemouth to have embargo lifted this week and will sign:

– Steve Lovell (free agent)
– Andre Costa (free agent)
– Lewis Smith (Bishops Stortford)
– Max Gradel (Leicester) LOAN
– Joel Ward (Portsmouth) LOAN
– Anton Blackwood (Spurs) LOAN
