Talks between Stoke City and Manchester City regarding Nedum Onuoha are said to be at an advanced stage.
Nedum has been given options and has ruled out moving his mother away from the Manchester area, this then narrowed down his options to 2. Bolton and Stoke are said to be the only other suitable options. Onuoha is said to be in favour of the stoke move due to Europa League football and the current league position of the established team. A £2.5 Million fee is said to be enough to get the service of the pacey defender.
Also at Stoke Hoillet looking highly likely to come in and add competition with Pennant and Etherington.

Charlton are set to sign West Brom defender Joe Mattock on loan until the end of the season. Mattock is wanted by a number of Championship sides but the former England under 21 full back is keen on working with Chris Powell, of whom was Mattock's idol.
Another player set to leave Albion is goalkeeper Luke Daniels. The former England youth international is in talks with League 1 side Leyton Orient after the London side had a bid accepted permanently over last weekend.

1.Aston Villa striker Darren Bent has been made aware of an offer for his services from former club Sunderland made on Tuesday morning directly to the Aston Villa chief executives office. Alex McLeish was consulted prior to Villa's affirmative response to the offer which it is believed would leave Villa showing a small profit upon the deal struck with Sunderland to take Bent to Villa Park. It is as yet not clear if Bent is persuaded a move back to Sunderland would be beneficial to him in a professional sense but financial terms are unlikely to prove a stumbling block and I believe Bent will meet Martin O'Neill on Thursday to discuss matters. Villa would move for Andy Johnson and Victor Moses.
2. West Bromwich Albion have approached Bristol City regarding signing Nicky Maynard. City boss Derek McInnes is well known to the Albion board and is believed to be keen on Albions bid which is modest in cash terms but would include the signature of striker Roman Bednar and the loan signing of Romanian international defender Gabriel Tamas. McInnes believes the deal would leave him with a stronger squad and lessen the impact of Maynards inevitable departure but Citys directors favour a straight cash deal which would not interest West Brom with Bednar out of contract in June. Meanwhile Albion have again rejected moves from Glasgow Rangers regarding Graham Dorrans.
3. Wolverhampton Wanderers would be prepared to offer Bristol City Sam Vokes as part of any deal for Nicky Maynard but again it is believed the Ashton Gate board are holding out for a cash deal and Vokes is likely to join Burnley instead,possibly on loan initially. Meanwhile Andy Keoghs move to Leeds should be completed shortly. Wolves may turn their attentions to a previously rejected Celtic bid for Kevin Doyle which would see Paddy McCourt and Joe Ledley move to Molinuex. Mick McCarthy discussed the possibility at Wolves pre-season friendly with Celtic last July but Celtics reluctance to include Ledley at the time left the proposal dead in the water. However,I understand that Celtic may have revised their position.
4. Birmingham City and West Brom are discussing the permanent transfers of Boaz Myhill and Chris Wood to St Andrews in a straight swop deal for Ben Foster.
