Port Vale are set to make a double swoop for Sheffield Wednesday duo Chris Lines and Jose Semedo. Ex Vale player Anthony Griffith is also being heavily linked with a move to Vale Park if he can negotiate a release in his contract at Leyton Orient. ITK

Leonardo Ulloa from Brighton is being heavily targeted by Reading according to sources close to the club.

Obviously not

05 Jul 2013 01:53:44
Deulofeu has apparently stated that he would prefer to go to a team where he is more likely to start, which Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham can't promise him, even if he has to play in the division below

Fat chance, he's Brightons man of the momentand only 7 months in on a 3 yr contract having joined Brighton in Jan. probably their most valued player.

Reading don't sign Argentinens plus garcia needs ulloa

Reading have no chance of getting Ulloa unless they want to splash silly money.

Not a chance. Ulluoa is a fans favourite and he's on a 2 1/2 year deal still. It would take a large transfer fee.

Reading do have money m8

Not a chance. Ulluoa is a fans favourite and he's on a 2 1/2 year deal still. It would take a large transfer fee.

When did being a fans favorite stop a transfer

Ulloa sign last January on a four year contract and therefore has three and a half years remaining. Brighton paid £2 million so unless reading want to part with around £7-8 million no chance he's leaving.

7-8 million you havin a laugh

Why not just say Reading are being linked to every Brighton player, Adkins probably has other ideas

I swear his contact was 4 years?

Ulloa sign last January on a four year contract and therefore has three and a half years remaining. Brighton paid £2 million so unless reading want to part with around £7-8 million no chance he's leaving.

If everyone was to play football manager and apply prices like this the game would fall flat on its face. 7-8 million. in what state of mind were you when you dreamt that up?

It was actually a four and a half year deal. Four more years to run.

For those playing down the Boswingwa to Bilbao transfer, take a look at Aymeric Laporte who is also not Spanish. Deal looking increasingly likely. QPR willing to let him go for £500,000.

Laporte came through the academy at Bilbao, they do have the occasional non basque player but they have to come through academy, although I'm not saying boswingwa move is false

Bilbao have a Cantera policy. All players have to be Basque, so this is not happening.

05 Jul 2013 21:43:30
laporte is from the basque region of france just like griezmann

DARREN DODDS AND KRIS BOYD WILL SIGN FOR KILMARNOCK IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS THIS IS THE SAME SORCE THAT TOLD YOU ALAN JONSTONE WOULD BE KILLIE MANAGER A FEW WEEKS AGO THIS IS TRUE FACT NO RUMOUR

Dont you mean darren barr

04 Jul 2013 21:49:58
Reading have agreed terms with ADO Den Haag striker Mike van Duinen and the player is due to fly in for a medical on Friday afternoon. The transfer fee hasn't quite been finalised but both clubs are confident the deal will be competed in the next couple of days. {Ed029's Note - And what happened to Kakuta..?

Eds what do you mean by kakatu? {Ed029's Note - His previous rumour.

04 Jul 2013 21:39:21
Broadfoot and Mckenzie and sadly Folan will be announced as Blackpools first 3 signings on friday. But hush I did not tell you all {Ed003's Note - Ssssshh!}

Apparently were close to signing jens janse from breda and dunne from wycombe

Folan is playing on a triallist at Penrith on Saturday, so until he does that nobody knoes if he'll be signing or not.
The Dutch lad and the lad from Wycombe are also on trials

Macenzie has offically signed for blackpool!

What other trialists have we got?

Think you will find that Folan has already been issued a squad number but delay in paper work till Mon/Tues.

I did say 3 but I only got 2 will try harder next time

no pleasing some people

Dont say he's our new number 9

04 Jul 2013 21:36:19
Reading Fc in Talks with Manchester city over the possible loan of John Guidetti.

Hmm maybe! He tore it up in the Eredivisie I would prefer to see a transfer than a loan but certainly would prefer him over Di Santo, Jones and Sharp.

05 Jul 2013 06:02:23
Not a chance, he will end up going to a bigger club than Reading

Not all players go to the so called "bigger club".

Maybe he wants first team football at a club that will probably be playing in the premier league in a year

Not a chance, he will end up going to a bigger club than Reading

Not all players go to the so called "bigger club".

Given how the majority of fans on this site seem to be fans of those clubs who were once great and are living off that still it's not surprising how lil old reading despite the last decade of success and growth is met with these comments time after time

04 Jul 2013 21:08:45
Dean Furman and Jean Mvoto are to sign for doncaster at the end of this week/start of next week after contract offers have been accepted from both players.

This is a good rumour although hope your rigjt about mvoto as he was in birmingham only the other day!

Robbie Simpson to move to arrive following release from Oldham

Just because we've signed a few of your best players it doesn't mean we're going to take all the sh*t you're releasing as well. e. g. rumour about some striker coming to us who hasn't scored for a decade. zzzzzz! rtid drfc

04 Jul 2013 21:03:13
Millwall in talks to sign Southampton's Richard Chaplow, and Lee Barnard.

How. Lee Bernard wanted too much previously. Will Chaplow take a pay cut, also we have just bought Driver, one of them would be bench sitting. Also Bernard and Morisson are target men, I think Moro will benefit from playing with Keough or Easter. Nick Bailey to prop up central Midfield more sense, and anothe right and left back loan player. The 16/17 regulars are taking shape now, with Jack Smith as the usual reliable utility player

Would be sad to see both players go but would be good for everyone involved. Barnard would suit Millwall down to the ground!

Barnard is not a target man have you even seen him play? he's all about his work rate does not stop you play him with a target man to get the best out of him

We haven't bought driver it's not official yet and been no rumours

Chap low would be more than a bench warmer for mill wall. Think your having a bit of a giggle mate. ^^^^

Chaplow would be your best player ^^^^^^^^^^!!!!!

Of the players southampton want to offload, who has the best goals to games ratio?

Well I'm guessing maybe Tadanari Lee?! Seeing as he did score for us but barely played a game?!

Barnard great player does not stop running top graffter with a eye for goal

Sorry I meant Lee Martin. Thinking of something else at the time, Doh.

So Chaplow would be more than a bench warmer, then what of Lee Martin. That would make two wingers on the left, if I have it right, neither happy to sit on the bench. Given the pay Chaplow would want, probably not going to happen, rather pay Bailey a bit more, the midfield is looking to lack depth. Josh Wright not quite good enough for this league. IMO

Nothing has been said about tad lee being let go

Chaplow was a crucial part in our promotion. He could get into the starting lineup of any team in the championship. Millwall will miss out if they don't get him!

Tad lee has been released. along with sharp, Barnard, chaplow and two others. Chaplow should playing the middle. and he would be our best player. besides Morison.

Wot!? Chaplow is not a winger!

Chaplow was 1 of best players until he got injured was a big loss on the right a t the time

In the comment about saying about the players who've been released. None of the players mentioned have been released! What are you talking about?

Chaplow played at Right mid for southampton first half of championship until he got injured and was arguable the best player up until that point I remember at the time he was a big miss

The above poster is spot on. In southampton promotion season in the championship we started the season brilliantly and Chaplow was at the forefront of this until he got injured. Busy, combative midfielder. Very underrated. Will be a great signing for whoever gets him.

It's a shame chappers got injured. Would have probably got a better crack at the prem with the form be was in! Great player

I'm waiting at the club with a pair of concrete wellies for him. No! Lazy lazy player.

04 Jul 2013 21:00:36
Stop with all the Parker to qpr rumours, He will not drop out the prem league.
Fulham bound.

I was hoping Fulham would get Parker as I think he'll be a bit of a risk for QPR. But with the fee being so low I guess he'd be worth a shout. I herd the only reason he wouldn't end up at QPR is if Hodgeson tells him he's still in with a shout of going to the world cup. Guess as things are its about 50-50 although the betting patterns suggest he may well take the drop down are reporting sevral large amounts being lumped on the QPR move.

I think that he will, tv sport is more reliable than this.

Parker is now 32 and i'm not sure if he will go to the world cup. He knows he will get first team football and likes working with Harry. This would be a great signing for QPR if it happens. Need some bite in their midfield

04 Jul 2013 20:56:06
spurs looking at Loic Remy as part of deal with Scott Parker.

04 Jul 2013 20:55:47
Middlesbrough are close to signing Bristol City winger Albert Adomah in a cash plus player deal after having two previous bids rejected.

It was wigan and palace that had the bids rejected.

Wouldn't of thought he would go to boro with a number of prem clubs eyeing him. I think cpalace or perhaps cardiff as this move wouldn't alter where he lives as he could continue to live in bristol

04 Jul 2013 20:49:53
Chelsea to bid 8m for Norwich gk John Ruddy.

Ridiculous if we sell we won't get anyone as good as him for 8mill, if mignolet is worth 9 ruddy is worth at least 14

Still nowhere near enough to be even slightly tempting!

Agreed. I don't think Ruddy will want to go. He had a few seasons on the bench at Everton behind Howard, we rescued him, he's played, he's in the England squad, why would he want to go back to sitting on the bench?
On this occasion unless NCFC clearly did not want him, I believe he will stay.

Just been on the CFC page. Not even a word on Ruddy. judging by the posts they only get excited by a european name and if the price is over 30 million!

05 Jul 2013 10:00:38
Not less than 20million, no need to sell just up his wage to another level, he will pay it back in performance and he will play his way into England set up, he does not need to be No. 2 to Cech at this point. Hopefully he is not just a money orientated player, moving to Chelsea at this stage is not a football reason.

10m plus Van Ginkel on loan. maybe

Thankfully we're not in debt and have plenty of money to buy the players we need so there's no reason to sell Ruddy. He's staying, end of!

05 Jul 2013 20:17:22
Chelsea are in advanced talks with Norwich it's breaking on sky. I've heard it's 8 m that is a joke if true he is worth 15 m

Umm Chelsea or Norwich lol I think if the money is right he will def go he would be stupid not to, I'm sure if he gos we can get in someone in just as good just because he's England's no 2 don't mean we great we are 15yh world ranking lol

04 Jul 2013 20:25:27
Bradford City have offered Sailsbury City striker Jamie White a 2 week trial.

Would love it if we signed him! Great poacher in the lower leagues, maybe the next Dwight Gayle?

What a load of utter rubbish. The lad is nowhere near good enough for league 1. I live in Salisbury and support Bradford City and should know a bit about him. He hasn't got pace like Gayle. Let him bang in the goals for Salisbury in the conference if he can. Stop putting absolute tripe rumours on here.

04 Jul 2013 20:15:59
Kenwyne Jones is in talks with Reading over a season long loan with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

No way

Yes way

05 Jul 2013 08:29:11
Dont be daft. Why would Stoke loan out a player with a view to giving himi away? Cash up front is the only deal. Personally, I would keep him as he is a quality player

I hope this is not so. Jones will play well for first few games, then go missing! USELESS!

04 Jul 2013 20:02:51
Derby manager Nigel Clough is interested in bringing in Solvi Ottesen. The Icelandic centre-back is currently a free agent after being released by FC Copenhagen.

At this rate we will have a team of strikers and nothing else.

Is he coming on trail (try before you buy)? Or are we going sign him permantley?

^^hes a centre back. And not a young one at 29, before the season ended he's apparently attracted interest from Bolton and has been capped 20+ times for Iceland

Personally, i'd be more than happy with this signing. Solid international centre-back and can chip in with a few goals aswell.

Clough doesn't look further than Scotland, possibly throwing caution to the wind on trip to Ireland. Doubt this has any truth

04 Jul 2013 19:56:48
Rotherham are rumoured to be trying to sign morcombe striker jack redshaw the 22 year old could be targeted by Steve Evans

Not exactly the exciting big name we were led to believe would be arriving.

Not interested in big, exciting names - I want a quality, young team who can develop together - one big marquee signing does more damage than good.

04 Jul 2013 19:53:51
After being turned down by Kevin Davies. Preston have turned their attention to Simon Church or Adam Morgan.

04 Jul 2013 20:24:21
hope its not morgan

Out of the three players mentioned most recently and excluding Morgan, Simon Church fits the requirements best. Nile Ranger sounds too much trouble and Baz sounds similar and just doesn't sound up to playing at our level.

Who said davies as turned down pne, I've got it on good authourity, he has signed for pne

06 Jul 2013 00:46:12
if he as signed for preston why as he not been on any website or local news

06 Jul 2013 11:28:25
It has been on local news.

Davies has neither turned us down or signed for us yet. He's in advanced contract talks with us and 2 other unnamed clubs. It's in the balance, I wish people would stop lying about "good authority"

04 Jul 2013 19:15:35
Faraoni has today flown to England to finalise permanent move to Watford. His agent has confirmed a deal is being evaluated. This was reported by football Italia

Have also heard this is a 3 year deal but only rumours

No he hasn't, he is in Italy with the team. Several photo's have been tweeted today from there.

Its true he is signing though

04 Jul 2013 19:47:41
Boro Set for talks with Newcastle over a perminant move for Sammy Ameobi, who could be available for less than £1m. Steve Gibson has said he may be willing to wage the move if he feels the player is appropriate

04 Jul 2013 19:20:03
Yeovil are favorites to sign former bristol city defender lewon nyatanger. glovers also being linked with a move for marcos painter

Be pleased with both of them. We need some depth!

Not an awful signing seeing as he's free but he was poor for us last season

Nyatanga never quite made anything of himself at City, but he has all the tools.

Big, fast, strong, great on the ball for a defender, but we always look vaunrable when he played. I think he has a nasty habbit of standing in the wrong place, or not taking reponsibilty.

GJ may sort him out.

Yeovil you are welcome to Lewin in a tangle. wil give him a backy on my bike. with killer kenny on the handlebars if need be. {Ed003's Note - don't foget to wear helmets}

Nyatanga? I thought his name was Nyaclanger! Can you take 'Crazy legs' Fontaine as well please?

Knew nyatanga would jump ship anyway. think Yeovil could suprise a few people this season. obviously tipped to straigt back down. but then weren't bristol city one of the favs for relegation the season they made the championship final. football is a v funny game. plus who would of believed the glovers could actually be within touching distance of top flight English football before there west country rivals.

AND that will be as far as it goes!

04 Jul 2013 19:14:45
Middlesbrough are looking at signing a young winger on loan as part of their recurring transfer policy.
Chelsea's Thorgan Hazard is favourite to join. Also linked Man City's Denis Suárez and Arsenal's Ryo Miyaichi - inside source

Thorgan Hazard is the best bet.

Miyaichi is going to feyenorde.

04 Jul 2013 19:13:44
Pochettino confirms interest in singing Damiao, Wanyama and Banega (note, the word AND) - this confirms our aspirations, confirms the budgets available, and confirms our interest in all three.

We may not get all three, but we are on the up.

COYS

Wanyama is not going to Southampton. He has made the decision to stay at Celtic for the time being.

04 Jul 2013 18:49:26
Kudus oyenuga & calum butcher both signed for Dundee United. Great work united

04 Jul 2013 18:48:17
Yeovil are looking at nyatanga, and painter.

Simon Ferry is currently training with the glovers and may sign by next wednesday.

04 Jul 2013 18:34:50
Mowbray steps up his interest in Danny Graham with talks due. Carlton Cole is also on his radar but wages are stumbling block.

04 Jul 2013 18:27:16
Aston Villa are set to sign Danny Guthrie from Reading for an undisclosed fee.

Never gunna happen

Guthrie said he wanted to stay at reading so I doubt it very much

Or not.

Errr. no we won't - never!

Why? he's at the perfect club were he will play week in week out with a style of play that suits him no end. If True which is highly unlikely it would be an unbelievably strange decision from guthrie & the board at Reading.

Yes I can see Lambert wanting a potential trouble maker in the squad seeing as he is so tollerent of Bent.

Are you sure it's not Woody Guthrie?
He could serenade the players with a tune at half time.
Danny Guthrie not a Lambert type of signing at all.

04 Jul 2013 18:26:27
West Brom have made a £2m bid for Reading keeper Adam Federici.

No chance got foster and myhil

04 Jul 2013 20:14:17
West brom don't need or want to buy another goalkeeper

So get your facts right!

Possible as he is 2nd keeper now

West brom don't need another GK, we already have foster, myhill, Daniels on reasonably long term contracts therefore we would not waste money on another one.

04 Jul 2013 22:12:47
He is not worth 2 bob!

Stop it Fred is worth 3 mil

He is not good enough to play for west brom. Would be 3rd choice

He`s worth naff all

Would never happen. WBA wouldn't pay £2m for someone to rot in their reserves.

I'm sorry but Fed is better than myhill. He'd be 2nd choice at WBA not 3rd. Still not going to happen

When myhill is in the team he consistently performs whereas Fed makes multiple mistakes over the season

04 Jul 2013 18:12:39
Ipswich linked with loan offer for Swansea midfielder Kemy Augustein who is surplus to requirements at the club.

No chance of that happening in a million years, if The Swans are going to get rid of him it'll be a cash deal only. The Swans will be having a right clear out this Summer!

Injury prone and expensive - no thanks

Agree on injury prone, Birmingham didn't sign him three or four years ago because of injuries, his start with the Swans was delayed by injuries and he has had three long timeouts during the last three years. Plays three or four games then we lose him.

Swans will likely loan him if nobody bids, he's a quality player just injury prone and a bit bonkers

04 Jul 2013 18:11:25
Carlton Cole and Gary O'neill to sign for Palace!A friend of a friends missus is doing the paperwork.

Gary O'neill has JUST signed a 12 month contract. so I don't think so!

Gary oneil only signed a new contract last week

04 Jul 2013 19:51:31
NO he agreed to a contract but backed out of signing it probably as another club offered him more

04 Jul 2013 17:47:00
Shrewsbury have failed to sign Jack Compton who rejected an offer and instead signed for League 2 side Hartlepool.

That was a week ago

That just about sums it up god help us

For gods sake are we ever going to sign a player its getting ridiculous

We want to pay peanuts that's why we can't attract ANY decent players.

I'm fed up reading and listening to all the soundbites coming from the club. As far as I'm concerned the supporters are being taken for a ride.

Time that manager Graham Turner left.

Trouble is we need at least 5 signings in before the start of the season. We have no forwards, no right back, no pace on the flanks and no creativity in midfield. We have a paper thin squad at the moment, it really does look dire.

So say all of us well said

I think its time for gt to go let someone who knows what there doing to take charge past his sell bye date

04 Jul 2013 17:36:32
Rotherham United have made an audacious offer for Swindon forward James Collins who is rumoured to be unhappy at the county ground.

Absolute rubbish I talked to him the other day and he said he couldn't wait for the new season

05 Jul 2013 10:10:12
Ye at RUFC and our nice new ground!

Unlikely heading Rotherham but strong word around club that Collins still has sights set on Wolves, who is on their radar.

Not true, Collins is staying, if any club did come in if which they haven't he would go if the money was right and it was a club like wolves or Coventry midlands area. Fact

Ohhh yeah, I forgot Rotherham was right on the south coast.

04 Jul 2013 17:10:47
After the signing of James Vaughan Huddersfield Town are now looking at a deal for Coventry City defender Cyrus Christie

Never heard of him, can't be any good {Ed003's Note - What a well thought out comment, jee

Christie is no more than a decent prospect, not a straight first team defender, not at this level.

He is really going to join a league 2 club miles away from his family.

Posh or Gillingham you heard it here 1st!

05 Jul 2013 21:03:42
Wow we R really stuffed if that's the theory after all robins want AN UNKNOWN FOREIGN PLAYER fair point Christie is a big risk but don't big teams take risks I mean what about michu Hernandez ECT ECT. The list could go on forever but the bottem line is we are striving to be a big club and maybe we should take a risk or two if it doesn't come off then fair enough but imagine if it did we don't want to let him slip and him be massive success else where like Lambert

04 Jul 2013 17:07:08
Owen Coyle busy again in the transfer market with our fifth signing. Scott Carson joining Wigan on a three-year deal. Now for some strikers with Grant Holt top of the wanted list.

04 Jul 2013 16:53:17
charlton just git about 600k from shelvey going to swansea, expect some signings soon guys

No we haven't, we get 10% of the profit Liverpool make. That is about £250,000

04 Jul 2013 23:30:52
10% of 4.3 mil is 430,000.
They sold him for 6 mil and according to the OSwe got 1. 7 up front

We got 5 million. We sold him for 1.7 million. If we get 10% of the profit, that means we get 330,000.

I'm sure I read something about some sort of extra costs ment that Liverpool only made around 2.6 million profit overall, so the first comment is roughly accurate

Charlton get 25% of any profit they make. When Liverpool signed him they thought he'd be a long term servant and didn't plan on selling him that's why they allowed such a big percentage.

It's simple we received £1.7mill with add ons from his England debut that raised to £2.1mill. Swansea paid £6mill minus the £2.1mill Liverpool paid us, equals £3.9mill profit. 10% of this is £390,000. We only get 10% of the profit not the fee!

The main thing is we get some money to finally spend lads. let's start signing

Does it matter, every little helps! Its an additional sum we wasnt expecting to receive this summer.

04 Jul 2013 16:20:05
Barnsley signed Wade Joyce for 6 months and flicker is hoping he will impress for the U21 side

04 Jul 2013 16:01:51
Does anyone know who is going to replace jermaine Grandison for shrewsbury.

We have 2 experienced and solid centre backs in mkandawire and winfield. We have Connor goldson and darren jones ad back up. We don't need another centre back as a replacement

Goldson, Winfield, Jones, Mkandawire.

Don't need another CB.

God knows it gets worst the player they were going to sign today who turned us down for hartlepool it gets no better

I know
we need another full back
at least 2 strikers
and a pacey left winger

What about Yado Mambo?

Thought he had a great loan spell with us last season and if Tam is seen as a defensive midfielder then we will need another CB, especially as Jones is out injured until November.

Come on GT, get a move on!

04 Jul 2013 15:52:52
Huddersfield town looking to buy another CB after Gerard has a suspected torn calf and Lynch is out of favour! UTT

Doubt it, Gerrard out for three weeks max. so unlikely to miss more than one league match. Lynch will be trying his best to keep the shirt, might turn out to be a spur and good coming from bad.

Was 750K now that's what I call a bargain!

Don't think Lynch has been particularly out of favour, he's had loads of injury problems with his hamstring and probably hasn't been able to get fit enough to break back in to the first time, I reckon he will contend for a spot this season, but still another CB would be beneficial

Lynch was solid as a rock in the air/tackling/organising and in spirit. No question about that. Then git injured and played out of ooition on the rifht and left flank. that's where his decline started. Lynch is a great prospect and I bet Robins will have the sense to see that. Ckark is the worry. Defends too deep, hence all the gaol line clearances.

All this about Peter Clarke defending too deep is absolute rubbish. One defender cannot play too deep by himself or people would quite literally walk it through us every time, the whole back four has to. If that was the case (which it isn't anyway) its Robbins and his staff who need to sort it out. Some people know nothing about anything and spout like they do

Maybe, but if you look at last season`s repeats of the goals against, then look at who one of the biggest culprits was, ie out of position, too slow on the turn, lack of pace, Clarkey fits the bill.

You might have a point, but we were run absolutely ragged on a lot of occasions last season. Often we were just outplayed by better teams so I don't think you can't pin quite so much blame on individuals when we're getting beaten 4-0 etc

04 Jul 2013 15:51:42
Mark Schwarzer set to sign for Bradford City on a one year deal as player/goalkeeping coach. Deal due to be completed by Friday this is 100% true

Is he going to coach himself lol

Denied by PP- sorry move on

It's been rubbished by the clubs sports journalist

Oh no his not 100%

Absolutely no chance this will happen

04 Jul 2013 15:24:13
Barnsley FC chasing the signature of sought-after defender, Kirk Broadfoot currently of Blackpool FC. Broadfoot turned down a contract offer from Blackpool and is understood to be on Ipswich Town's radar also.

If broafoot chooses barnsley over blackpool then that's saying something about the contract we offered him[it must be pretty bad]

04 Jul 2013 19:50:45
Also after Coventrys Cyrus Christie

Barnsley defender Scott wiseman turned Blackpool down last year because they couldn't match what Barnsley were paying him!!

Wiseman stayed as he wanted to see if he was in the (Barnsley's) managers plans and the managerial merry-go round that was happening at the Pool, nothing to do with wages

To be quite honest Blackpool have punched above there weight for a while due the money from there prem days, once the money is gone from then a club that is the size of Blackpool will only go one way (down). The financial fair play rules are kicking in and clubs like Blackpool have to reduce there wage bills. {Ed003's Note - Are you feeling ok? }

I'd choose to play under flicker rather than ince only one way he's taking Blackpool and it's not up. absolutely shocking record as a manager
. still living of playing days reputation

Love posts like the one above. Once the fair play wages kick in its clubs like BFC that will be fine due to KO tight fist. with players on 2 1/2d a week i'm sure we win be fine! {Ed001's Note - did I really read someone saying Blackpool would need to reduce their wage bill? Can anyone really be that ignorant?}

Are people feeling ok? Blackpool have using the financial fair play rules for the last 5 years. It will take us about 20 years to actually spend just some of the premiership money lol

I'm sorry but haha my goodness I'm actually crying through laughter. Reduce our wage bill? The only way we can do that and save more that a pound is by sacking owen Oyston that would save 7million

Reducing wages mean players play for free lol

We have reduced the wage bill 6 players left that where offered contracts lol and we released 14 of Holloways lab rats

What do you think Blackpool are doing now?
A lot of there players have left or are going to leave and what will Blackpool be left with? A poor squad and a manager that will no doubt be the first manager to get the sack once the season kicks off.
When the money is gone what do Blackpool have to bring in the players?
for example look at Barnsley they have no money, but what they do have is a great manager, great coaches, structure through out the club and better facilities than most clubs. Barnsley can only go one way as long as the people of Barnsley get behind the team and get down to Oakwell. All the changers that are happening Oakwell are due to a great manager and a great team with the vision to take us to a new level.
To me it seems That Blackpool will be luck if stay up this year, they seem to be losing lots of players and bringing in players of poorer quality, if Tom Ince leaves I think that Blackpool could be doomed to relegation, as when Barnsley played Blackpool Ince was the only star in an otherwise very poor team.

How does reducing wages mean players play for free? Removing wages would, but that's not what the author of the previous mail said. Ed. is that a fair comment? {Ed003's Note - I think he was being sarcastic about the wages pool pay mate.}

Would prefer Ipswich to leave this one - Broadfoot is past it mentally and physically

He's really giddy about Barnsley and isn't he! Bless him

Broadfoot has signed a new one year deal at blackpool wit option of another year

So, Kirk Broadfoot re-signs for Blackpool despite interest from Real Madrid B aka Barnsley, Interesting one

If he's signed for another year he must want to play in league one next season for some reason

Why does Oyster get so much stick? He got Blackpool to the Prem.

Exactly. I get why people are mad at him, we do need to spend some money to get some decent players in. However with KOKO in charge of spends we will never be up the proverbial creek with out a paddle. They have put so much money into the club over the years they deserve some financial rewardl. It will be interesting to see how these other clubs with amazing assets cope when players won't be on crazy wages

It does seem harsh. we're a club not Owen-ing anything lol.

04 Jul 2013 15:17:29
QPR to sign Scott Parker for £2 million and Peter Crouch also for £2 million. Wages are the only issue to be sorted out.

Surely Stoke won't accept £2million for crouch having spent £10million on him

Crouchies abit on the cheap side there

Great if it happens.

Least sustainable championship club this year?

Wont get Crouch for 2M, heard the Parker rumour though.

Good to see 'Arry is doing some good scouting and not once again buying players for a) silly money, b) people he has worked with several times before or c) young promising players! {Ed003's Note - lol}

04 Jul 2013 22:15:24
Love it - more journeymen mercenaries - when will you ever learn?

Crouch is into the last year of his 3 year contract that's why he is so cheap. Hughes not intrested in keeping him and would like to get his £60,000 a/w wages off the bill

04 Jul 2013 15:12:12
stevenage want alex lawless and andre grey from confrence side luton town. the hertfordshire side are looking to strenghten ahead of the new season

04 Jul 2013 22:31:30

Neil Kilkenny to hold a medical tomorrow at Yeovil to compleate a two year deal free transfer to offload the wage bill at Bristol city good ridens I say

Yeovil could not afford his wages

Surprised he's taking a step down!

Lolol what a joke! Kilkenny on 10k a week at Ashton Gate! what a waste of money! can't see Yeovil paying anywhere near that! if they will I tell you what I will drive him to Yeovil myself! ONE TEAM IN BRISTOL BCFC!

Not sure if he is what we need but Gary knows best!

I' ll drive him there!

A broad statement there. could not afford his current wages maybe but do you ever think that the lure of staying in the Championship is stronger than a higher wage in L1?

04 Jul 2013 19:15:59
You obviously dnt know anythink about yeovil if you think we could offord kilkenny's wages

Kilkenny is all about money he would play in the conference if he kept his current wage I too will happily pay for a taxi to take him to Yeovil

I heard he's doing a foster and buying himself out of contract or is that wishful thinking

This best be a real post the day Kilkenny goes will be not a day to soon let him run around pointing his fingers shouting his orders in another team worst player at Ashton gate for awhile

I'm a bcfc fan trust me he's worth every penny ha ha ha

Whats with everyone hating kilkenny? i'm a leeds fan and we've missed his creativity since he went. he's surely the best asset bcfc could ever get, especially with them now being in league one and probably have more chance in going down than up this coming season!

If you've missed his creativity then your current squad must be something short of shocking

I would agree with what that Leeds fan said if we have Kilkenny in the team we have more chance of relegation than promotion

I rate Kilkenny as a player, but the idea that he earns more than say Elliott bothers me unbelievably.

He can't hope to justify his wage with his ability and for that reason if we can move him on we should.

MOst overrated player I have seen in a city shirt. Leeds if you r missing creativity. have him back. can have him for nowt. maybe tractor boys can come get him. they seem to want our has beens. with exception to dean gerken. feel he wasn't treated v well down there. did he just want fresh start. good keeper I thought.

Its soley his wages that are a problem. He is an alright little player, I just think you can't have one bloke earning double his midfield partners unless he is playing twice as well.

If Ronaldo was playing you would say fine he should be earning a load more than the rest, but NK offers nothing more than the rest of them.

Neil Kilkenny offers nothing more than anybody

I actually rate Kilkenny when he is played in his best position its a shame that the rest of our players were not on his wavelength last season, killer would see a pass but his team mates didn't want to know

Killa would see a pass no one else could usually because he was trying to get rid of the ball before he was tackled then he moaned that none of his teammates saw the pass

Are you a city fan good passes get a grip he gets the ball panics then passes back to defenders the bloke is useless

Sooner he moves on the better.

What a waste of money! kilkenny wherever you go I will take you there myself! been going down the Gate for more than 30 yrs one of the worst players on the worst deals we have ever had! thanks to MR MILLEN! saying that we still will get promotion next season SOD getting the right players in at the right age! great news Louis carey still with us for another season! break our appearance record and he will do well for us next season! true city legend! glad the tin mans back to look after the kids too! seasons looking good to me! ONE TEAM IN BRISTOL BCFC!

I here you I will carry Neil Kilkenny to Yeovil myself and next season will be immense bcfc forever

SOD will offload the garbg don't worry about that.

What a suprise at clevdon he was running around back passing pointing and shouting result we lost lol

I can't believe how many City fans think backward and sideways passing is a bad thing? If you keep the ball I really can't see a problem?

If you want players to get forward you have to be confident that your not going to lose it before they get there or just after.

I think a "water carrier" is a reasonable thing to have in your side at the moment.

Provided the water carrier doesn't spill 90% of the water while he is remonstrating with all and sundry trying to cover up his mistakes.

Lummie yet again you stick up for Kilkenny are you him

04 Jul 2013 14:44:53
Anelka having west brom medical

Seems like good news! :) where do you find this info? and anymore news? :D

Make that 'Anelka has signed'.

He, s signed, Mulumbu has tweeted a photo of Anelka holding his new baggies shirt outside the club, its on one of the forum site, s.

Looking good for west brom.

He is the biggest name to ever grace the hawthorns in recent years.

Oh no, if that is our ambition we are in trouble

Done deal, pictured in shirt

04 Jul 2013 20:13:00
If we can sign kalou get sinclair on loan with view to a permanent and maybe swap odemwingie for hoillet i'd be well happy

You can't please everyone so when he scores next year (and he will) or he puts a thruogh ball for longy to score. just remember what youve said

And if he goes `missing`, doesn`t score and spoils the teamwork- you remember what you`ve said! personally I would love to be proved wrong and he get 20 goals but it won't happen

I new this deal was done I said it would on tuseday, Baird next then kalou end of next week and what I've heard to day is that vydra is more likely at the moment

Villa fan here. I have said all along that last season was a flash in the pan for you lot and we will end about 10 places minimum above you next season.
Now the biggest laugh so far -Anelka and on a 2 year deal costing 5 million!.
I thought Peace had more sense than that. All this smacks of is sheer DESPERATION.
Clarrie Blue.

1 year contract with clubs option to another year actually and it doesn't cost 5 million

And the season before? We finished above you that season as well. Trend?

West brom won't get relegated next year so from your reasoning villa will be finishing in at least 7th. I don't think so. Both midlands clubs will finish in a similar area of the table

Anelka 5 million? don't be stupid, he's a free. and villa will finish 13th/14th so how can west brom be 10 places behind? (spurs fan)

Former letting orient striker Charlie macdonald is currently training with league one oldham with the opportunity of a contract. Source: oldham chrom

He is, but god I hope we don't sign him

Signing will be confirmed on Monday morning!

04 Jul 2013 19:35:41
Letting Orient?

BTW will give 100% CM - however won't score many goals.

Auto correct was supposed to say leyton orient.

Signed 1yr plus 1yr extension on friday

He scored a great goal last night against Dinamo Bucharest by the way so yes he is good enough.

Well he scored on his debut last night so I will eat my words

04 Jul 2013 14:29:15
with the charlie austin deal set to be completed by the end of next week, steve bruce will look to bring a striker in on loan. he may look to bring back gedo, or will look to bring in henriquez of man utd.

04 Jul 2013 18:13:15
Really hope Crouch gets a team where he's gunna get played this season would like to see him back in the England squad over some of the current toss that's in there his record can't be argued with!

04 Jul 2013 14:26:48
Brighton
Ins:
Matthew Upson - Stoke City - Free
Nicky Shorey - Reading - Free
Cristian Lobato - Barcelona B - Free
Ivan Balliu - Barcelona B - Free
Gonzalo Garcia Garcia - Macabi Tel Aviv - 800k
Carlos Garcia Badias - Macabi Tel Aviv - 500k
Outs:
Kazenga Lualua - Bursaspor - 1m
Adam El-Abd - Ipswich - Free
Ryan Harley - Wolves - 200k
Bridcutt - Reading - 5m

Would love Bridcutt back in his hometown but just can't see it happening.

A post that actually seems believable for once although I would not see bridcutt going to another championship team he is destined for a team in top half of prem - no offence to reading as they are going to destroy the championship and reading fans is shorey any good for 1 year in championship? {Ed029's Note - Shorey is a decent player but he's lost the hunger. He also got pulled up a couple of times last season for being out the night before a game (not necessarily drinking, but out nonetheless). He's a decent free though, but you may need a decent second LB to push him hard.

I would have loved Bridcutt (prob still would) but we just signed Williams? why would we sign him now? especially for 5 mil!

I for one don't want El-Abd coming to Ipswich.

If el abd is going anywhere its Barnsley and we won't sell bridcutt and lua lua is worth more than £1m

Ryan Harley - £200k. HAHA!!

I've heard the same regarding El-Abd to Ipswich. 2 year deal I'm told.

04 Jul 2013 18:00:55
Why would we sell Bridcutt to a team in the same league?

All of those ins seem very likely. All cheap or free, and all match O. G's way of football.

So is LuaLua as good as Michu at Swansea? Michu cost £2m so unless LuaLua is as good then £1m is about right!

To the post about michu - players are not always sold for what they are worth. Lua Lua is worth more than 1mil. I'm a Reading fan and we sold Shane Long for £6mil. Now shane long is class but Michu has shown that he is worth more.

I guess by that guys logic Jordan Henderson is at least 8 times better than Michu seeing as he cost liverpool 16 million.

Michu was only cheap because He was from abroad and British players are too expensive so lua lua could easily be worth £1. 5 - 2.5 million

05 Jul 2013 09:27:12
i don't doubt Reading would be interested in Bridcutt and I'm sure the can afford him, but I don't think the Albion would sell to anyone in the same division. If Reading are in the top 2 I January and the Albion are struggling then maybe I could see him going, but unless he goes to a Prem side I think he'll stay and see how Oscar Garcia works out.

£1m for Lua Lua is about right. I love watching him play for us, but he isn't consistent. I like that list, but no offence, Reading. Bridcutt deserves to be in the top flight next season.

5 mill for bridcutt ha he's worth about 1.5 mill you tool

Bridcutt is a great player. And a dominant midfielder. Massively underrated and I for one would love him at my club. From a Stoke fan

No, you are the tool if you believe bridcutt is worth £1.5mil; he is worth at least £5mil

1.5m!?! wtf he is easily worth 5m. you clearly don't watch actual football

04 Jul 2013 14:23:12
Cheltenham will take Joe Anyinsah on trial, and he will be joined by Rene Howe and Gavin Williams by the weekend.

04 Jul 2013 16:39:22
Williams maybe but we are not interested in Rene Howe.

Rene Howe not interested in Cheltenham he looked around met with Mark Yeates offer was made but wasn't sufficient enough for him to make the move Bristol rovers and oxford utd are watching the situation as he has met with both clubs but do not rule out a late challenge for his signature from Plymouth Argyle

Cheltenham have not met Howe, they have not made him an offer, and he certainly hasn't turned it down.

Howe currently heavily linked with AFC Wimbledon of all sides. Can we stop linking him with CTFC now? Bring back the rumours about Luke Rooney! (sarcasm, please don't really bring them back)

04 Jul 2013 14:17:19
Former Charlton Athletic, Carlisle United and Bristol Rovers forward Joe Anyinsah is on trial with Cheltenham Town.

04 Jul 2013 14:16:58
My mate from Fulham tells me that leeds are in talks to sign Damian duff as leeds are in need of a winger.

Not an effing chance mate.

You'd have to buy out his contract which I assume wouldn't be cheap down to his wages.

Not so unbelievable as he's got the experience and quality and could thrive at elland road I remember a wee scot called Strachan doing the same could be the catalyst we need. keep marching

No they're not, he's to old

Im sure leeds can't afford his wages. No chance

Its not that he's too old, he's got the skill and the experience would help it's that we wouldn't be able to afford his wages, he will go abroad or to a lower premier league team.

Or he won't go anywhere?

04 Jul 2013 13:59:41
Leeds united to try and sign Richard dunne after his relise from astonvillla.

04 Jul 2013 18:39:47
Trouble is he`ll want paying in money not chocolate buttons.

Whats wrong with Ashdown. ?

04 Jul 2013 20:37:10
we've got the centrebacks or does McDermott not think they are good enough a good coach would nurture and improve them c'mon brian do us proud. keep marching

04 Jul 2013 13:59:28
Burnley have agreed a two year contract with Brazilian midfielder Andre Moritz after he could not agree a new contract with promoted Crystal Palace.

Moritz left as he could not be guaranteed regular gametime.

Championship or Premiership? Who would you choose??

Its not about championship or premiership, he's been released from palace so there won't be any premiership

04 Jul 2013 20:07:16
Why would he want to drop down a division? Dodgiest rumour I have ever heard.

I doubt very much he'd sign for Burnley!

I'm gutted moritz is leaving he's a quality player, hope olly has something up his sleeve in the way of a replacement

Moritz may find it hard to get a prem league team, wonder if he will end up in Scotland his original destination, wish he'd stayed and fought for his place in the team.

He is a exciting prospect with loads of talent! utc

04 Jul 2013 13:51:19
Burton Albion have offered trials to 4 players. These are:
Kane Hemmings (Rangers)
Javan Vidal (Stockport)
Jamie Green (Buxton)
Danny Shelley (Leek)

Kane Hemmings dad Tony played for the Brewers, home town boy.

Not good enough for BAFC though

Maybe not good enough for the 1st team, but all more than capable squad players.

This is while there on trial, to see if they are good enough or not.

04 Jul 2013 13:41:15
A bit of Grimsby Town news here. I am good friends with Dave Smith who works in Town's commercial department. I have it on good authority that if Liam Hearn leaves for Mansfield, the Mariners will use the cash to bring in Forest Green striker Reece Styche who both Rob Scott and Paul Hurst are huge fans of. Failing this they will turn to Kidderminster front man Anthony Malbon who netted 19 in the league last season.

Styche is out till Christmas.

04 Jul 2013 13:12:24
Bury are hopeful of signing Jernaine Grandison after he rejected Shrewsbury's offer. This would be another statement of intent from the new owners.

No way, backwards step for somebody with great potential. injured for 6 months anyway so will struggle to get a good contract anywhere. very surprised he has left shrewsbury.

I can confirm that this rumour is false.

04 Jul 2013 13:27:06
Barnes homer expected to sign with Notts county in next couple of days currently on trial here

I would be happy with that if we got him
but could he score a lot at league 1 level

If this is the best we can do then god help us

Maybe tell us who you are talking about?

No thanks, not upto our grade, too many clubs, inconsistent and currently unfit.
back to the non league!

I seen barnes-homer play for maccelsfield with my mates and he was rubbish

Please don't sign

04 Jul 2013 13:31:11
Cheltenham Town have entered the race to sign Rene Howe. Howe wasn't thought to be on Cheltenham's radar but they have recently missed out on a number of transfer targets.

This rumour is almost as boring as the Luke Rooney situation! I'll be glad when the season starts and Howe isn't here.

Here here, bord of it now.

04 Jul 2013 12:58:56
Hartlepool and Bury are fighting it out for the signature of released Bradford midfielder Will Atkinson

And Southend, has the Phil Brown connection.

He's just signed for Southend

Atkinson has signed a 2 year deal with Southend

04 Jul 2013 17:08:18
Heard Sam rickitts is on the radar {Ed029's Note - Signed for WoLOLves

Southend have signed Will on a 2yr deal

Signed for southend

Hartlepool and Bury might be fighting it out for Will's signature. but Southend are the winners! Good luck Will

Gone to Southend 2 year deal

Sam Ricketts signed for Wolves today your info is naff.

All the best Will. Hope it works out

04 Jul 2013 12:57:35
Lewin Nyatanga is in talks with Yeovil Town

We certainly need some championship experience in CD and CM. He would provide the former.

Totally agree with the above. At present i'd get a game at CD, we are that short and I retired years ago : /

04 Jul 2013 12:28:02
Charlton Athletic have taken former Manchester United youngster John Cofie (20) on trial.

The forward was released at the end of last season, following loan spells with Notts County and Sheffield United in League One.

He could feature in Charlton's first pre-season game at Welling this weekend

Not good enough for us, didn't set league 1 on fire last season

He was absloutly abysmal for Sheff Utd last season. Has a real lack of effort or commitment. Wasnt suprised to see him on Man Us released list this summer.

04 Jul 2013 21:43:35
John Cofie isn't a bad player as such, he just doesn't care and doesn't have any passion. He scored two amazing goals for us, apart that he to sweet FA because he isn't bothered. Perhaps he won't be as bigheaded now he has been released by Man Utd.

04 Jul 2013 23:33:16
Sounds like a talented kevin lisbie!
We don't need another lazy striker like him

Sounds like someone doesn’t know what they are talking about! Lisbie was a good player for us and had we given him more of a chance, would have been a useful player as proved for other teams.

You're right it does sound like somebody doesn't know what they're talking about. Apart from one game against Liverpool when was Lisbie good for us? Given more than enough chances when at Charlton, great pace could only finish if he didn't have to think about it, his finishing or lack of cost us more points than it gained us!
Done well elsewhere? What Colchester and Orient in the lower leagues? Yeah great.

Well john cofie is a bad player as he is too big headed however, he did score a couple of good goals for us the blades last season but he will need to get off his high horse I he wants to be a good player

04 Jul 2013 12:23:35
Almen Abdi will today be announced as a permanent Watford player with a 4 year deal signed last week.

Hope so as Abdi was fantastic last season

04 Jul 2013 12:22:37
Sources in Brighton are dismissing reports that Liam Bridcutt is set to join arch rivals Chrystal Palace.

Bridcutt was quoted as saying that he has never owned a caravan and has no intention of ever owning one. It's also be quoted that Bridcutt has also never had an inclincation of becoming an arsonist and setting light to his own town or taking advantage of any Groupon deals.

This message was bought to you courtesy of www.football-rumours. co. uk. The site where sh*t really does happen!

Bridcutt is staying for a bother year to help Brighton get promoted

Wow this brighton fan is still upset that his club lost to palace. watch out lua lua is going to get you lol deluded weeds

04 Jul 2013 12:14:06
Mark Schwarzer set to sign for Bradford City on a one year deal as player/goalkeeping coach. Deal due to be completed by Friday.

Yes it will be announced friday appantley he put pen to paper today

Seen down at Valley Parade talks continue tomorrow

Where is this coming from? Keeps cropping up but others in the know keep rubbishing it.

Rubbish, confirmed not to be joining City.

04 Jul 2013 11:58:32
Burton albion to sign kane hemmings. Recently released by Rangers and born and bred in the town.

04 Jul 2013 11:39:02
Marc-Antoine Fortune is meeting representatives from Wigan today (4/7/13) to discuss a possible free transfer to the DW. There is interest from both parties to conclude the deal swiftly but the length of the contract may be a sticking point.

Great signing for Wigan if true. southampton fan.

Could be a good Signing if true be good cover can't see him being our Main Striker TBH

04 Jul 2013 11:33:04
Coupe of rumours that are gathering pace (don't shoot the messenger). Tabloids are reporting WBA are in talks with Nicolas Anelka pending medical ahead of a move to Hawthorns and Chelsea considering loaning Demba Ba to them also. Steve CLarke also interested in Jordan Rhodes however his price tag of approx £10m is seen as steep. Chelsea are also ready to loan Romelu Lukaku to West ham

It will be heart Wrenching if Lukaku goes to West Ham.

I strongly feel that there is a lot more going on behind closed doors regarding Lukaku.

I think that he is playing a waiting game to see if West Brom make signings as they have probably promised to do so to get his services again.

Lets "WAIT" ay.

COYB

Heard Anelka rumour already and Lukaku and Demba Ba rumours sound about right comnsidering the strikers chelsea targetting

Lukaku isn't going anyway clearly stated by Jose and if he was going to go anywhere it would be WBA for certain pony!

How many times does it have to be said, Lukaku isn't going anywhere on laon

04 Jul 2013 11:27:15
Hull have had a bid of around 750k accepted for boro's centre back seb hines, where did that come from!!

We have 7 centre backs already. we're more likely to offload than to buy another.

Somehow, I just don't believe you

Not true. we signed curtis davies

That must be the Seb Hines who is ruled out until September at the earliest as cover for the other 10 centre backs? can't believe I have bitten and responded!

Funny that he a full bk

04 Jul 2013 11:14:54
wigan striker franco di santo has been linked with french club lille due to the departure of payet they see the young argentina international as a good replacement due to his pace and dribbling capabilities

Hes Shocking can't hit a barn Door

04 Jul 2013 11:09:17
Sunderland to go for George friend

Good player, he will do well for them if its true. £ 2 million at least I would expect

04 Jul 2013 11:02:35
Crawley will sign Marlon Pack in the next 48 hrs

Done Deal, Pack will sign a 2 year deal as he see's Barker the perfect manager to develop under and will make the step up to Championship in a couple of years, also Crawley suits his home location of Portsmouth.

Source- Agent Friend.

You having a laugh is it April fools day. jees

So happy to see pack has joined crawley he thinks we can make play off this season and possibly promotion should the ideal player

Crawley not signing anyone too slow off the mark will be last min. Com

Great to see Crawley being patient. In the Steve Evans era we'd signed everyone who was rubbish at great expense by the end of June. No doubt he will do the same at Rotherham United

I agree but another signing might be nice, barker got more nous then evans

The Crawley squad is good enough to hold its own but the addition of a holding midfielder in the mode of a marlon pack and a forward would be icing on the cake.

Well that didn't happen

04 Jul 2013 10:29:04
Jody Morris to sign for St Johnstone this week

04 Jul 2013 10:03:19
middlesbrough are intrested in andre moritz recently released by crystal palace

I knew it wouldn't be long before this appeared! Mowbray is looking at David Lopez to replace Zemmama and not Mortiz.

Good they can have yet another greedy footballer who throws his toys out whn he doesn't get his own way

Moritz is about to sign a new contract at palace

Moritz is not about to sign a new contract with Palace, he has been released.

Sounds good on paper but although Wheater had all the attributes not sure if a top defender?

He's a CAM. ^^

04 Jul 2013 09:24:10
Afc Bournemouth striker Matt Tubbs is set to join Oxford United on a season long loan deal, and it's believed that the deal will go through this week.

This is not true, Oxford and Crawley have advised that they can not afford his wages, he is now either going to stay at Bournemouth or will go to Rotherham.

After signing kitson oxford will have spent as much as they can on strikers. I would expect a cheaper loanie if anything

Definately will not be joining Rotherham. Does not apparently want to move up north. I do think it is the fact that Oxford United may struggle in wages etc so that may be true. We are apparently yet to bring in new faces and whether one is a striker is unknown. Oxford keep there signings etc very close to their chest and only when a deal is confirmed do they release details

On the verge of signing, done deal

What do I know. but lot of talk locally that Tubbs is set to join Oxford United so we will see?

Is all our fowards going to poxford

Matt tubbs would be an excellent signing for oufc to go with kitson and beano upfront, still need LB and playmaker but i'm afraid wilder is nearly done in the market as we resigned asa hall on loan and got good youth players coming in. would like of seen dubes still here to see him to retirement as what I see last game of the season he kept us that clean sheet #whatalegend

Tom Newey is an LB

05 Jul 2013 17:38:38
Bournemouth are closing in on the signing of Simeon Jackson just read it on tv

The Tubbs rumour is never going to happen. Not enough money in the budget to cover any of his wages.

John bostock to sign for swindon this week.

Loan or perminate

Please be true would be so happy

He is a free agent. so it would be perminant.

Will be so happy if we pull this off

Well that would be a massive coupe for the club I can, t see it happning! But if it did & they keep caddis & Benson then things are on the up
and maybe can compete in the top ten

Mark Schwarzer set to sign one-year deal with Bradford City in the next couple of days

This is too good to be true in my eyes

I heard he's going to palace

Not holding out much hope but would be great. but you never know, we're on the up, we need a keeper, and he does have some affection for the club

Simon parker confirmed its not happening

hull city make a final take it or leave offer for burnleys charlie austin

04 Jul 2013 11:59:08
If its less than 5million then leave it

Not sure why Charlie Austin would want to go to a club that's going to be relegated?

04 Jul 2013 13:17:12
Looks like Hull will have to go for a different striker - Burnley always drive a hard bargain (£7 million for Rodriguez; £6 million for Steve Fletcher).

The bid is at least £4million. probably just under £5million. hope this will clinch the deal as he's a great player

Burnley hoping to have Kevin Davies, Nicky.

It's obvious why he'd sign: Hull City are in the PL, and can offer commensurate wages that go with such status. Whereas Burnley are a mid-table Champinship side, at best. End of story! Maybe Burnley in seeking the earth may end up with nothing if they go for bust.

04 Jul 2013 16:13:13
He would go to a club in the Premier League over one that is stuck in mid-table Championship anyday. For one thing, even if Hull do get relegated, assuming he has scored a few, his stock will only have risen from a year in the Premier League. No well established club is going to take a punt on a guy who has only scored goals at Championship level

5million for Austin is a bargain.7million for Jay Rod; 6.5 million for Fletcher. fair prices to pay for 2 quality players who are doing the business in the Premier League! fact!

"Not sure why Charlie Austin would want to go to a club that's going to be relegated?"

Because he will get a taste of Premiership football, Stay at Burnley and he will never ever get that.

Don't say never until the fat lady sings.
AFC Bournemouth have put in an improved offer for Charlie {Ed029's Note - Improved offer? I'll have to look up the journo but he confirmed no offers have been made by Bournemouth.

Hull's new bid is £4.5m according to today's Mail.

I wish Bournemouth fans would do one, constantly spouting nonsense on here.

04 Jul 2013 08:16:47
Exeter City have ex French Second Division Winger, Ugandan, Edward Kiggundu training with them.

Heard he's a top player if Exeter can get him fit. I've seen him play in the French league a year or two ago and was a good prospect, pace to burn, but he's put on a few pounds since

Surely he's not coming to english league football. that would be too much to hope for!

A player from France?! Don't be stupid! We wouldn't be able to afford his flight over, let alone any wages that he would want!

If we can get him it would be amazing!

04 Jul 2013 08:15:23
Exeter City are running the rule over Torquay's Martin Rice; and Plymouth forward Warren Feeney is looking to move up the A38 to St James Park

Exeter can't be running the rule over Torquay, Martin Rice has signed a new contract at end of last season and Is happy being our number two

04 Jul 2013 17:52:25
Couldn't imagine Warren Feeney in an Exeter shirt! He's a Fan favourite at Argyle!

Sorry what^ He is not an Argyle favourite at all, hard working but that's all he's got to his game, Exeter can have him.

Fan favourite? He never scores

Have to agree you can't doubt feeneys work rate and I like him because of that but he cannot score goals

I was gna say who think warren feeney is a fan favorit at argyle. I certainly dnt fair play and helping when we needed it and he was probaly the highest profile argyle brought in at the time but no where near good enough. can see him going to exeter as plymouth wil be looking to offload him and as exeter scrapped for cash the don't have much choice these days I think there going to be swapping places with us next season regarding whos going to be higher in the league. john sheridan certainly knows what he wants didn't see fletch bringing in these signings. brent hasn't really got a choice he has to spend money and he's showin a lot of ambition onward and upwards green army.

Never scores but he's a legend hard working and a gobby git on the field he get stuck in and picks up yellow cards for example last minutes of a game there goal keeper wasting time by not picking the ball up and waiting for feeny to go close well feeney just runs at them and kicks the ball and the player mainly the player and then calls the keeper a cocky person and on that odd time he does score he runs all game with a massive smile he's crap but a legend got to love the fella

04 Jul 2013 08:13:29
does anybody know any rumours about who notts county could be signing I know we have a striker on trial dunno who it is but I do know its NOT barnes homer

Lindon meikle from mansfield

It is Barns-homer

04 Jul 2013 13:50:18
Yer he is played other night and will be in the line up tonight you ain't going to believe me but my source is alric Taylor community coach and former scout of Mansfield town

It is barns homer I watched the live stream friendly and he was wearing number 9 would be a good signing

You couldn't have watched the friendly 'live stream' as it was a behind closed doors match. Get your facts straight pal.

Get your facts straight lots of supporters watched it live on the Internet mate {Ed003's Note - You tell him tiger! }

How would he be a good signing.

04 Jul 2013 07:33:48
Blackpool join the race to try and sign Berra, but concede he is likely to join Rangers.

Seasider87

Let Rangers have him, he was useless at our club (WWFC), you'd be better bidding for Roger Johnson

He would rather play in the 3rd tier of the scotish league than play for you lot speaks volumes. get ready for the 5th of august. pay back time.

He'd rather play in Scotland for family reasons as stated. He's already rejected to negotiate terms with Leicester

04 Jul 2013 06:45:03
Leyton Orient look all set to sign Jack Midson from AFC Wimbledon after missing out on Adebayo Akinfenwa. Deal to be confirmed by the end of the week.

He's off to Gills pal. Fed up of being shunted to the wing by both your managers. See our assistant managers comments. and our free no10 shirt. Welcome Jack!

Looking at his record, he ain't too bad. Said that about Michael Symes mind you.

This isn't happening, why don't you look at jacks comments! He wants to stay!

Midson joining O's? 100% not going to happen. Slade is only interested in a young striker on Loan. Spurs youngster Coulthirst tops his list. Midson is past his best and would not be good enough.
Would have taken him a couple of years ago though.

Hes not going anywear he loves it wear he is and he be playing up top anyway

Midson is still at his best, played out opposition most oF last year and still was our best player

Never say never, but I'd like to think Midson will stay as everything he has said has strongly suggested he will.

04 Jul 2013 19:54:57
Midson never plays on the wing are you high. he is a centre forward and that's where he plays every game for us. And he said on twitter he was staying at wimbledon

Midson played on the left

No one has approached AFC about the signing of Jack Midson that's what Neal Ardley said when he spoke to the fans today

Midson has played on the left often. Never has he suggested he doesn't enjoy playing there, although he predominantly plays up top.

Neal Ardley confirmed that he has NOT had any offers for Jack Midson last night.

"never has he suggested he doesn't like playing there". Yes he has. Its why he left Oxford. Doh.

I think they mean he doesn't mind playing there for us.

Certainly hasn't complained about it the times he's played there at Wimbledon.

I think you'll find he left Oxford because he wasn't offered a new contract. Doh.

04 Jul 2013 05:41:14
Everton have signed 17 year old Stevenage winger Jo N'Guessan. Compensation yet to be agreed.

04 Jul 2013 05:38:40
Stevenage are set to sign Luton Town striker Andre Gray after the clubs agreed a fee.

04 Jul 2013 14:49:40
No chance - Luton is a much bigger club and Stevenage couldn't afford him.

Bigger club, Yes. But wouldn't you rather play for a small club in a big league rather than vice vercer?

Luton 'big club' have a laugh

04 Jul 2013 02:52:32
Swasea City are after Jordan Rhodes and Adam Le Fondre as Swansea have lost patience with Bony.

Rhodes is not for sale according to his manager, and he's stated it's something he'll have to repeat time and time again until the end of August.

Le Fondre would be a nice addition if the money is right.

Personally, hope for Bony to arrive. Failing that, if what I've read about Ba not being in Jose's plans, why not try our chances eh? (I know there's little to no chance but worth throwing it out there).

No they havnt bony agent said announcement in 4 days on tuesday

Load of rubbish. Bony's agent has said that they are expecting a higher big from a Russian Club that's why they are waiting

Remember this time last year Rhodes not being for sale.

Every player is for sale if the money is right - so Rhodes is on Swansea Citys radar.

Where did you get that from swansea don't want him

Bony agent is not waiting for a bid from russia, the reason for the wait is the club vitesse, there is talks of how the fee will be paid

Bonys agant said he won't play for arnham agian

I think he should go to swans

Yeovil giving trial to ex Swindon player Simon Ferry

Great professional and deserves a shot at the championship. I'm sure he would be an improvement for Yeovil.

Very good player. hope we sign him

Great player top lad should of been retained by Swindon, good luck to him legend.

Top top player. gutted he went, a game changing midfielder

Top lad great worker and good footballer should still be at swindon from a swindon season ticket holder. Good luck next season Yeovil.

Average at best. Less than 10 goals. in about 3 years for an attacking midfielder is poor.

Sounds like he is just the type of player that would fit in at Yeovil. Hope he comes.

Always nice to read positive replies from Swindon fans. Looks like he will sign. Will offer the depth we nee.

Overrated backwards/sideways player also likes a drink

Very good player shouldn't of been let go easily play in the championship, always had a long chat after the games at Swindon, he used to come up to my hospitality suite after games, top lad he called me the big man! He is also very funny and likes a laugh? Good luck to si and Yeovil, well done guys.

Great player our biggest mistake was letting him go, good luck Si you will be missed

Great bloke his tweet about no money in his farthers day card off his baby son is hilarious, sorry to see him go.

04 Jul 2013 01:23:32
jay Emmanuel Thomas is to conclude personal talks tomorrow, with a medical and official signing Friday. this is what my source tells me anyway in Bristol city.

He wants to much money for his poor form I doubt we will pay his requested wages so can't see the deal being done

It seems like the clubs want to make it happen. I don't blame JET for not wanting to take a substancial wage cut and drop a divison, but if its his only option in a months time he will surly take it.

04 Jul 2013 01:06:44
Middlesbrough look poised to complete a player switch, with marvin emnes moving to bolton, and David Wheater + £1m moving to Middlesbrough. deal will be finalised within a fortnight. you heard it here first

Take it!

Although mowbray likes emnes so doubt be will be going.

Defender for a striker that's good -_-

Lets hope so! If Mogga can get wheater back to his old form and out of his poor bolton form we have a plus a million. bring it on!

No keep Emnes. Get him back to his old form and he could win us this league!

Anyone at all for Emnes, that's great :P

Word out of bolton is that Wheater is first choice with zat knight for this season. Selling Wheater would leave us needing a replacement. Now ill have that if it means we get enough cash to go and buy Dawson from WBA. So I'm thinking Boro will have to stump up 2. 5-3m. There hasn't been mention of this in any other rumour site or interest in emnes. Where does emnes play?, bolton in need of back up on left wing for eagles.
BOLTON CHAMPIONS 13/14

That sounds perfect which leads me to believe this won't happen but I pray it does, if this comes off try bring in adomah and a solid striker with juke and are starting 11 is solid

Poor form what are you on about? Wheater has been out injured for all but a couple of weeks of last season, so he would have had to get his fitness levels up not poor form. You ain't got a cat in hells chance of getting him unless we get Dawson. We definitely wouldn't give you Wheater plus a million for Emnes, he's not worth that much.

You boro fans are talking s***

Im sorry but as a Boro fan maybe in the minority I would keep Emnes. He has had family issues last season and that affected him. Believe me I know what that is like and unless you work you womt know what I mean. To replace Emnes with someone as good or better would cost a lot more and let's face it Wheater? let's forget this local lad rubbish and just go and get a good strong defender of whom there are lots better than Wheater in the leagues. And keep Emnes unless we get 3 Million

04 Jul 2013 18:30:29
And likely wheater bolton captain next season. would sell him 2get craig dawson though

Wheater out of form? he's been injured all season

Haa that is utter pants, wheater is 1st team plans for us he was injured not poor form!

Dougie has said he will play eagles off the striker which means chuny and hall will be on the wings with 2 of medo pratley and holden occupying CM Wheater will be the main CB this season with Knight and Baptiste and Tierny as full backs then you have a choice out of Ngog Sordell C Davies and when its secured Beckford if Dougie decides to go 442 then eagles will replace hall then 2 of the 4 strikers We need CB and LB cover so we won't be selling anyone at the back maybe a couple of loans out with Eaves Clough Lester potential sale of sordell (hope not) but have a feeling if we were to sell a striker it would be him

Utter tripe, won't happen, you heard it here first.

Firstly he's been injured, so this "poor form" is nonsense.

Above that I'd evaluate Wheater worth more then Emnes, all he needs is his fitness back up, and luckily that's what pre-season is for.

Thirdly Bolton lack quality in the middle of defence, and with the rumours of Dawson coming (probably won't happen) I think it'd be the ageing Knight that loses/rotates his first team place.

But that's just my two cents.

Wheatear isn't worth more than Emnes, granted he isn't in the best form due to injuries and personal problems this season, but he's relatively young, and he's a player when he's on his game that can tear apart defences with ease

Wheater isn't worth more than Emnes, wheater is a boro fan and stated he would love to return at some point during his career and he's in his last year of his contract so there is no way he would be worth £3million as someone stated (£1million more than we sold him for) also, he hasn't played much due to injuries, so would need to work to regain form.

The player holds all the ace cards, because if he wants to move, all he would have to do is refuse to sign the new contract he has been offered, and Bolton would have no choice but to sell now, or next summer he will be able to leave on a free

Your absolutely right, players do hold all the ace cards when they have a year left on their contract. Trouble for Boro is that staying at bolton and having a far greater opportunity of success outweighs any nostaligic sentiments he may have for a Boro side who have little or no prospects of success this season. Wheater has made little or no impact at bolton, but I would say he's a solid player, but by no means a player a club like bolton would lose sleep about letting go. When teams want a player (by that I mean Boro want Wheater), who has made no waves about moving (by that I mean Wheater wants to stay at Bolton), you would have to infere that Boro would have to dig a little deeper in their pretty shallow pockets.

Bristol city to announce signings of defender Brian saah and striker billy kee on Friday morning. Both have signed 2 year deals.

Don't think so billy kee in spain with brewers

Billy Kee will sign for Crawley Town on his return from pre-season training in Spain with Burton

04 Jul 2013 14:50:59
Brian Saah is going to Luton to move closer to his London base.

Two offers on the table for Billy Kee of 250k, he wants to go.

04 Jul 2013 00:30:39
Reading have signed 16 year old Crystal Palace starlet Amadu Waritay. The young midfielder was part of the Crystal Palace u15 side that won the English Schools National Cup Final in 2012.

04 Jul 2013 00:12:24
Rory Donnelly of Swansea and West Ham's Jordan Spence will sign for Bristol City in the next 7 days.

Spence would be a great signing but doubt he will drop lower than the championship

I doubt Spence would come back for a 3rd spelll

Think Spence got sent home by Del for being a bit of a Billy BigNuts last time?

How would you know he was acting that way. hate when people think they know these players

Cuz del was such a good judge of players scoff

Spence didn't seem all that special before, but he is older and we are a divison down. If WHAM don't want him he might be a good punt.

04 Jul 2013 00:02:44
After announcing that Vaughan has signed on a 3 year deal from Norwich, it has been rumoured that town are looking to bring in Nick Powell on loan from Man Utd!

04 Jul 2013 10:18:37
Would have thought it highly likely he`d be going on loan to c`ship. Why not Town? Close to manchester, Robins has good links with club.

No that Vaughan is gone Norwich can bring in Vaclav Kadlec

. scrap that. just got a test and news expected at 3. 30pm!

04 Jul 2013 00:00:32
Mark Schwartzer currently training with Watford in order to win a contract ITK

Yup this is a fact. Great keeper but little old? Almunia is off now if this happens.

Its not a fact at all. He's not in Italy.

Almunia's replacement is Shay Given

Well Shay Given is also out of contract and not wanted by Villa and 3 years younger than Schwarzer. He wouldn't be that bad an option - get him over from Ireland where he is playing golf!

Schwartzer will not be joining Watford

Almunia signed yesterday morning

Almunia, Schwartzer or Given would be wonderful

03 Jul 2013 23:41:30
Crystal Palace are set to sign Itumelung Khune from Kaizer Chiefes.

I predict a riot!!!

No we're not.

Great keeper!

03 Jul 2013 23:25:25
Former Sheffield Wednesday winger Etienne Esajas on trial with Scunthorpe United. Brian Laws looking for a replacement for the Doncaster bound Mark Duffy.

He had better show better form than he did at Swindon.

05 Jul 2013 19:08:45
