Darren bent and jonjo shelvey to cardiff!

TA

Maybe on a weekend away. but that's the closest they will get!

I wouldn't like Darren Bent as long as he stays out of injury, scores goals and if he's being sold for no more than 6-7 Mil

I would like Suso not Shelvey tbh

29 May 2013 22:11:25
Brian Deane has emerged as a frontrunner for the Sheffield Untied managers job. The former Blades front-man has impressed on a very limited budget at Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08. He's already been interviewed and should be in place early next week.

We ain't in norway.

30 May 2013 09:22:56
No, but you ARE in League 1. Could be a very shrewd move this.

29 May 2013 21:30:50

Russell to Derby done deal for £800k plus add ons. Set to visit Moor Farm tomorrow afternoon

I very much doubt that as rumours around Celtic Park suggest Celtic have 1st option on him at an already agreed fee

Well at least it will be sunny for him then. believe it when I see it.

Seems no bid from Celtic. I wonder if Clough is going up to Dundee to do his 'car alarm' trick he tried with Conor Sammon!

The 'rumour' was he turned up to Wigan just as Sammon signed for them, and set off his car alarm to get him out into the car park to speak to him.

Sammon was 'said' to have been stunned that a manager wanted him that much. However he had signed for the Latics. Wigan were most likely 'stunned' when we bought him for twice the fee.

Well that's the 'story' kids only heard it on message boards, but I wish it is true. It would show a bit of devilment he father had in buckets.

Back in the days of Jim Smith he said he was very seletive of which areas of Derby he would show potential new signings.

Why do Celtic have 1st option on him

But will Dundee utd want to sell him to a rival club like Celtic? No and do they want the most money you can get? Yes so derby would be best as they offered a lot more than Catania and Celtic are a rival club in Scotland to United so it's possible Russell will be at Derby next year.

29 May 2013 21:58:33
Kevin Davies will sign a one year deal with barnsley as a replacement for marlon harewood.

We are looking at Stead and Donaldson!

If we get half the players we are rumoured to be getting I am putting money on a Barnsley promotion. I only hope that we have Etuhu and young Paul Digby fit for the start of the season. I believe these 2 in midfield would be sensational.

Hope not I can't stand Kevin Davies

Why would they replace marlon when he never played
Next thing we'll be signing heskey

We're not even going to sign half of these players what people are putting up but if we buy a few decent players we could have a good season. we should try and bring in o'grady get a new cb and we need to keep steele

29 May 2013 21:50:57
Barnsley will sign Kevin Davies on a free

Why would swfc sell O'Grady? Think about it! Why give your enemy a loaded gun!

29 May 2013 21:40:17
Peterborough have had a bid of £400,000 accepted for crawley towns Billy Clarke

Rubbish, Billy Clarke is staying at Crawley by his own words he is happy there and also Crawley would not accept £400 K for a player who is worth more like £1 million.

He's obviously not worth a million, doubt we want him anyway, poor rumour

Would be a pointless move for Billy

Clarke valued at around 450k on Transfer Markt so maybe he could go for that or a bit higher.1m seems like an over valuation to me.

29 May 2013 21:38:04
several Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on Reading winger Jimmy Kebe's situation. Kebe is thought to be keen to stay in the top flight following Reading's relegation and has one year left on his contract. Fulham, Norwich City and West Ham United have been linked with the Mali international in the past.

Kebe has been injured and has no interest in leaving reading.

Good pacy can't pass a ball to save his life //// so no thanks

Hope not. Injury prone and a bit of a person it seems

He signed a new contract this season, no chance of leaving

Lol, wonder how the west ham fans would take that news! They hate him.

West ham yourjoking they haten kebe

If we get an offer of £3m i'd say sell him, spend the money on a defender and Sharp {Ed029's Note - Brilliant on his day but doesn't have enough of those days, and too injury prone.

30 May 2013 11:35:53
I heard Jimmy Kebe put in a transfer request when McDermott left.

29 May 2013 21:33:24
Any possible loan signings to halifax?

Scott Brown; young Bradford midfielder with a lot of potential. Bradford said to be looking at sending him out on a season long loan, Halifax a likely destination.

30 May 2013 10:58:06
Scott has been released by City.

30 May 2013 14:07:43
Simon Ainge will join Halifax 100%

29 May 2013 20:56:28
Walsall are in talks with stoke to get cuvelier on a 6 month loan.

He's already proven himself at that division, if he is to progress he needs to be tested in the Championship (like the tail end of last season) or in the premier league.

He won't be leaving part of the 25 man squad next season

He will be in Stokes 25 man squad

Did Culvelier actually play for Posh whilst on loan?

Part of the 25 man squad? Mark Hughes has sure worked fast to name that!

Unfortunately he only played 1 game at Peterborough but he has proven at Walsall he is ready for championship as he kept them up

He played a part. but he isn't quite the footballing god people seem to think he is.

29 May 2013 18:58:09
Crewe to sign striker Vadaine Oliver from Lincoln City and have made an approach for Hereford United Winger Marley Watkins. The club have entered "advanced talks" with Striker Danny Hylton and have held "productive talks" with an Experienced Midfielder who is labelled as a possible replacement for Luke Murphy. They are keeping tabs on former loanees Chuks Aneke and Bradden Inman in the process. It also looks as though Max Clayton is set to leave this summer with several Premier League clubs interested.

Think the winger is actually marvin johnson of kidderminster

29 May 2013 20:43:32
To
Barnsley fc David flickcroft and Patrick crine please sign chris o grady in the summ or some one same but better

Doubt that they read on here mate

If I am going to renew my season ticket I want the club to give me a good reason. I realise were not the biggest club in the world but its nice to see your team winning. struggling at the bottom of the championship isn't fun for anybody. I haven't read one solid rumour yet.

Flitcroft and Cryne you mean

Wed are wanting over 500 grandfor him, when he can't get into the side who are they trying to kid we should look elsewhere

Season ticket ; what do you mean struggling at the bottom isn't fun, staying up on last day of season is better than consistant mid table

Its not because like us we have to get players from league 2 and 2 and we have no money plus every one says were $ h1t when we actually played some of the best football in championship last year under flicker

29 May 2013 20:43:23
just seen johnny russell in derby, apparantly he's staying at a hotel before being unveiled tomorrow morning at moor farm

I seen this too but I hurd from people I know that they failed to agree on some terms e. g. bonus package

29 May 2013 19:03:25
Kristian Dennis, scorer of 43 goals for curzon ashton last seaspn has signed for stockport county. Former stockport player Keith Briggs will also sign for the club this week aswell as offering Simon Hackney a new contract although this is unconfirmed as Chester city are also interested.

29 May 2013 20:12:09
Just been told by a reliable source Jack Midson and Matt Tubbs are the two strikers Cheltenham are close to signing. Club are also in talks with Jamie Cureton but Midson and Tubbs more likely.

Luke Rooney also wants to join but Cheltenham and Swindon haggling over best deal.

Mmm. Tell me why Jack Midson would join Cheltenham? No logic.

29 May 2013 22:56:13
Better wages, good chance of promotion to league one.

Why would tubbs join a league 2 side when he will possibly have league 1 sides after him.

CTFC tried to sign Midson previously and he chose Wimbledon - don't think he's likely to be back on the radar to be honest but you never know. Also he did play with Byron Harrison so maybe a good fit I guess.

Would be an interesting move by Bournemouth to drop Tubbs to League Two but he might get more football than in League One so can't be ruled out.

29 May 2013 20:11:24
Two front runners for the managers job at Wigan are Graeme Jones and Owen Coyle.

Whelan is waiting to see what develops with Martinez, and if Jones wants to follow him should he be appointed at Everton. If he leaves expect Owen Coyle to be approached, however Jones is his preferred option.

29 May 2013 20:11:14
Russell Slade set to be appointed Sheffield Utd manager and will make Dean Cox his first signing

Barry Hearn will appoint ex O's captain and current West Ham cosach Ian Hendon with Kevin Nugent assistant as Slades's replacement

29 May 2013 20:09:25
Marco Cassetti to stay on for one more year at Watford

31 May 2013 01:46:42
Doubt it, he has been homesick all year and his family won't move to England.

WFCKingy

He has enjoyed every minute, but it may depend on his family life.

01 Jun 2013 12:11:33
I'm not saying he didn't enjoy it! And he has been one of the best in yellow this season but if it were me I'd want to be with my famIly. Plus I think he can still cut it in theme serie a.
WFCKingy

29 May 2013 19:30:27
watfords on loan striker matej vydra is wanted by westham and wba

Mr Pozzo said today he's staying at Watford unless a massive bid comes in for him.

Rumoured rejected bid of £12m for him in the January transfer window

Vydra is not reay he's what 20? he's not even played that great for Watford just the odd great strike etc.

Bitter leicester fan?

30 May 2013 12:38:53
Not that great?!?

Is that why he was voted championship player on the year and scored over 20 goals this season.

BEHAVE

30 May 2013 12:57:05
Watford rejected a £13m bid from Spurs - he will move if they receive a much large bid.

Personally I don't think he's ready to lead the line in the Premiership.

Has the potential to be great but would be a massive outlay for a bit part player.

He needs to stay at Watford for at least another year

I don't think they rejected 13m from spurs, I think it was 8m from QPR

I'm a watford fan but how would watford reject 13m when he's on loan from udinese

While he has potential he needs a couple of seasons in English football and to be scoring 20+ and then he'll be worth £20M +. Meanwhile Watford can benefit from his goals

Ok then, the Pozzo's rejected the offer. At the end of the day its the same thing as the Pozzo's own both clubs. He won't move unless a fee in the region above Zaha's fee is put on the table. And it was an offer from tottenham around the 12m mark that was rejected in January

31 May 2013 23:02:03
I'm a Watford fan but to say Vydra is worth more than Zaha is nonsense! Zaha destroyed us last Monday (he was the only real quality on show). Vydra has been excellent but for me needs a second season as he wilted in the second half of the season as he hasn't played regularly for two seasons prior to this one due to injury - very few clubs (even from the cash rich/intelligence poor premiership) will offer more than £12m for him at this stage

Vydra is not consistent, a big club would be mad to sign him for big money because of his goal tally this year, he needs another at watford/udinese/granada to prove himself. Otherwise he has the "andy carroll" liverpool situation written all over him

29 May 2013 19:27:14
Tony Mowbray looking into signing free agent Ross Turnbull who was recently released by Chelsea to challenge Jason Steele for the no. 1 spot.

29 May 2013 19:26:50
ben arfa to monaco

29 May 2013 19:20:14
liverpool are on the verge of landing celta vigo forward iago aspas for 9 million euros.

Sadly yes

29 May 2013 19:17:29
Oxford are to complete the signing of Korey Smith. The deal was agreed a couple of weeks ago, and the U's will announce it on their website at the end of this week.

Well if this is correct, will be pleased with the signing. Not sure where the info has come from. nothing locally in the press, forums etc

Can't see this happening but if it does well done mr Wilder

29 May 2013 22:53:11
what the same korey smith which could get into numerous championship sides? haha

I was the first to post this rumour, my source hasn't confirmed anything since then which was a couple of weeks ago. I've heard of championship clubs interest but I know Oxford were one of the first clubs to show interest and make an offer, the only reason I can see Smith signing for Oxford is if hr has accepted a long term deal that the Oxford chairman has been talking about

Unsurprisingly a player who isn't quite good enough for the Championship would be a good signing for a team two tiers below.

Would be the signing of the summer, so I can't see it happening at all. But would obviously love it.
Theres no talk of it anywhere bar on here!
I don't think he'd get in at Championship sides. but would def have plenty of LG1 clubs after him, after his loans at Yeovil and Oldham. Oldham are very keen on signing him. But Oxford could at least match Oldham's wages!
Korey Smith was bought up and has family that live within an hour away from Oxford, which may tempt him. But sadly can't see it at all

29 May 2013 19:15:39
carlisle set to sign Scottish league star rory Mcallister and also try and resign Gary madine on loan whilst daryl murphy will sign from Celtic

Macallister is realistic Madine will be playing a lot more for Wednesday next season I think and Daryl Murphy doubt it but would be nice

29 May 2013 19:14:37
Kevin Davies could be heading to bradford city after being released by Bolton, with Nahki wells a top target for Bolton.

Half of the championship clubs can not afford his wages! Sorry but this is ludicrous

Rubbish!, He has already openly said he has offers from Championship clubs

If Davies has been released by Bolton, how can they use him in part of a deal to take Wells

They could just buy him and pay his wages. Baptiste just accept a 25k a week contract at bolton. What's this wells lad on at Bradford 2-3k tops? Come on, when big clubs come calling you need to just realise who you are in the grand scheme of things.

29 May 2013 18:30:59
Bristol city to announce the signings of
jay emmanuel thomas
Jacques maghoma
Zak ansah
Jean yves mvoto
Richard wood and
Aden flint
By the 15th of july. Trust me, these are all almost complete.

Not a chance

Is this actually true?

If they're almost complete then why will they be annonced in a month and a half

Hope we do sighn ansah he's a top rated youngster and would be great helping us get back up and also grow into a top championship player seeing as we sighned wynter then he may follow both great signings by sod

Everyone of these players scores a 5 on tv player rating, 5 = Below Average player, some faults out of touch.
Not really what we are looking for.

What a load of tosh, o'driscoll is not going to sign all these players, he will sign 2/3 keepers obviously, (Perhaps a prem keeper on loan who doesn't make the 25 man cut), a centre back and maybe a striker, no more than 4/5 signings in total though!

29 May 2013 18:04:54
Monaco to make moves for Thomas Vermaelan, Nani, Emmanuel Adebayor and will also make an audacious attempt to bring David Silva to the club, however it's unlikely Silva would be interested.

29 May 2013 18:01:54
Sources say the next few Hull City signings will be:

Shay Given: Aston Villa
Maynor Figueroa: Wigan Athletic
Ahmed Elmohamady: Sunderland
Ben Watson: Wigan Athletic
Aroune Kone: Wigan Athletic
Allan McGregor: Besiktas

Hull are also set to miss out on Kasper Schmeicel to Swansea

Would love to see Schmeichel I Swans. Hope Given joins Hull

Kone will also sign for swansea

How can a player sign for 2 clubs? logic!

We already have goerge boyd aswell

Liverpool got aspass then

They haven't got him yet

29 May 2013 17:38:44
Free agent Chris Lines will start pre season training with Bristol Rovers in league Two if he fails to find a new club.

Lines is not a free agent, he's still with Wednesday

Still under contract at S6

Wouldn't want him back tbh.

The night clubs and bars in Bristol would be pleased if this was true

29 May 2013 17:35:11
Yeovil Town have approached Bristol Rovers about Tom Parkes their captain and centre half.

Yeovil are thought to be considering a bid of £100k plus player swap.

News will rock the Gas fans as Parkes is the heart of the defence and the lack of early transfer activity at the Mem is worrying in itself.

We had tom parkes rubbish player

The only player Yeovil have got that they could/would swap is striker Reuben Reid.

Lol to the person who said Parkes is rubbish.

Parkes will not leave, and is not yet championship quality.

He is good at league two, will be rubbish for the championship!

Simply not true and it'll cost more than 100k to get him.

Think Yeovil will be aiming a bit higher than Rovers players. From a City fan.

Parkes won't leave the Gas don't be silly and rubbish you clearly don't know Tom Parkes clueless

Although the fee was never released Rovers were thought to have payed close to 200k for Parkes. He is a brilliant player and only a local rival would say he is rubbish. He could play in the championship in the future.

Anyone who says Tom Parkes isn't good enough for the Championship clearly hasn't seen the guy play. It's rare to see a play so calm and collected at centre half and on top of that he's also a natural leader.

Yes possibly the future not now! Yeovil would want to look for better cheaper options and someone who has proved themselves at championship level. Not some Bristol rovers centre back, WBA Fan

He might shine at a club that play their football at the bottom of division 2, but, not Championship material I. 'm afraid.

29 May 2013 17:34:57
Vicente set to return to Brighton and Hove Albion on a pay as you play contract. Source comes from PSB at The Argus

No chance he didn't want to be here last season from brighton fan

What about as player manager to keep the Spanish theme going

Get rid of him taken us for enough money with little play

He wanted to go back to Spain last season becuase he suffers from home sickness.

29 May 2013 17:32:50
Millwall are set to name alan curbishley as their new manager by as early as monday

That's is Brilliant!

I mean that is brilliant in a well thought out joke, rather then it being brilliant that he'd be manager.

29 May 2013 17:31:36
David Clarkson and Gary Kenneth both returning to North of the Border in the next few weeks.

Both big wage earners but will leave big gaps in the BRFC squad. Both having their contracts bought out by SPL teams thought to be Hearts and Motherwell.

Both big wage earners. really. at Rovers. you're having a laff

29 May 2013 17:27:03
johnny russell on his way to derby with rep to agree personel terms after the two clubs agree a fee believed to be in the region of 800k.

Local news on tv say we are way off from signing him so I don't think we will sign him Friday or we will not sign him at all

Why would he be on his way even if the bid had been accepted? I doubt he'd chose derby this early. Going to take awhile for this to reach a deal for whichever club he goes to

29 May 2013 17:22:17
Johann Smith to make a return to Carlisle United. Greg Abbott has stated many times he is looking for pace in next seasons squad. Let's just hope Johann remembers to run with the ball this time!

Abbot said he's looking for new players and something different so dunno if we'd get him

29 May 2013 17:06:40
Any intrest from any PL clubs in James McCarthy?

Yes, Spurs and Liverpool for sure, also rumours that Arsenal are still interested. Arsenal were looking at him when he signed for Wigan from Hamilton, however McCarthy wanted to play so joined Wigan.

29 May 2013 16:59:33
Rotherham United set to make club record bid for Motherwell's Henrik Ojamaa.

This is rubbish, Motherwell have just turned a bud down from Lech Posnan. He is not for sale.

Could be true, let's hope so.
Evans has been in Scotland and were trying to break our club record transfer fee.

~deMiller

29 May 2013 15:41:32
Any news on Luton ed? {Ed001's Note - no sorry, not that I know of anyway.}

Yes danny spiller to join maidstone once fit

29 May 2013 17:25:26
derby have agreed a fee with dundee united for johnny russell, he, s to be unveiled s a ram as soon as friday

No chance

Yeah, I'm sure just when Celtic have been added to the mix, Dundee utd would rush to accept the first offer that meets their valuation. Derby had a chance, but I think it may well have slipped away by now

No truth in that. They will wait for a better offer from other clubs if a bid has been made.

29 May 2013 17:17:07
Ipswich are keeping a close eye on striker DJ Campbell, the player spent a period on loan at Ipswich last season scoring 10 goals in 17 games. He has said that he's looking to move away from QPR after their relegation gives him no reason to stay at the club.

No thank you. not good enough

Would welcome this guy back. Experience, heart and knows how to put the ball in the back of the net.

I can guarantee he won't come back to Ipswich on a permanent deal, for so many reasons.

Never going to happen we won't pay the massive wage he wants

Funny he's quoted today as saying he needs to speak to QPR before he decides on his future. I still don't see him being in QPR's plans but I think Ollie's Palace rather than Ipswich will get him

30 May 2013 17:24:41
Campbell will not got to palace he's already been an out-of-favour striker in the Prem and with Phillips signing a new contract Palace will have too many strikers to play in rotations.

29 May 2013 17:13:19
Hull could move for 37-year-old Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given, who is available for £1m.

LiamsBiz

Hull are looking for a young keeper we wouldn't buy a player that's been rejected by another prem team

29 May 2013 16:10:22
Chris Wilder (Oxford United manager) is desperate to sign these 3 players:
Sido Jombati
Luke Guttridge
Rene Howe

29 May 2013 19:50:36
No chance of him getting Jombati, Oxford could not afford him and Cheltenham would not sell to rival who pay less in wages.

We are not paying any fee's for players, so Jombati is not true.
We're always being linked to Guttridge, but we never went in for him 18months ago when he left Aldershot on a free. So doubt we will be after him now!
We are after a big tall target man, and Howe has scored a good amount. So wouldn't be surprised if we've spoke to him. His family do live in the Northampton area

Akinfenwa could make a move to Oxford if Rene Howe doesn't.

29 May 2013 16:54:25
John-Joe O'Toole and Steve Mildenhall are in talks with Yeovil Town after rejecting offers from Bristol Rovers.

Good Luck!

Expect GJ will be working his magic with loans from the Premiership not two players who can't cut it at League One level.

Clearly got from reading the forum.

Haha this rumour is a joke - I know for a fact that Mildy will sign and there's a good chance JJ will be back aswell. - my source- from the player himself.

Mildenhall won't join yeovil he hasn't even said he doesn't want a contract with us yet so god knows where your hearin this rubbish from

30 May 2013 17:03:53
Mildenhall has signed a 2 year deal with Bristol Rovers

I don't think that there are many Yeovil fans who would want Mildenhall back. I certainly wouldn't.

Mildenhall has today signed for Bristol Rovers.

Mildenhall has just signed for two years. This is clearly made up.

30 May 2013 19:29:53
signed a 2yr contract with an option 4 a third so won't be going 2 yeovil!

Mildenhall hasn't signed yet.
O'Toole is looking for a more fashionable club.

Haha, why would yeovil want to sign two players who couldn't make it in league one?

29 May 2013 16:22:51
Darryl Duffy to turn down contract at Cheltenham and re-join Bristol Rovers with Cheltenham replacing him with Hereford striker Marlon Jackson

Won't happen

First part of this could be true however second part is hadly belieavable, marlon jackson was on loan at chelt 2 seasons ago and hardly kicked a ball, with only 7 goals in the confrence at hereford why on earth would a team looking to challenge at the top of league two be interested?

This is laughable. Duffy will return to Scotland if he turns down a contract at Cheltenha. Marlon Jackson isn't good enough to play in the Football League.

Dont want duffy.

Jackson you having a laugh!

29 May 2013 16:17:58
Middlesbrough interested in Falkirk prolific striker Lyle Taylor. He scored against Boro in a pre season game last year and Mogga was interested then but he had too many over paid players on the books. A deal may be imminent as Mogga wants most of his new players in ready for pre season which starts on June 24th.

It's in the evening gazette tonight for people clicking unbelievable

He didn't just score against us he got a hat-trick

29 May 2013 16:15:59
I'd also mention that I find it hard to believe that Derby have been speaking to DUNDEE about a DUNDEE UNITED player?!

Well said found it strange myself

29 May 2013 15:57:43
Kaid Mohammed is set for talks with Micky Adams when he returns from his holiday.
The speedy Cheltenham winger has expressed his desire to leave the league 2 club when his contract expires and Port Vale see the Welshman as the ideal replacement for former Cheltenham winger Ashley Vincent.
MK Dons and Newport County are also ready to offer Mohammed a contract, however Vale are favorites.

29 May 2013 19:51:27
Good luck if you get him, he is barely league two standard. All pace and no control.

Mohamed will not go to MK he played for wimbledon and still talks highly of his time there

Yeah I heard that too, would be a cracking signing for the club.

There has been talk of an AFCW / former AFCW player joining

He played for wimbledon and talks highly, well sorry but we are wimbledon? not going to make a difference

I would not want any ex-AFC mongrel playing for us at MK.

29 May 2013 15:56:53
Nigel Pearson is the front runner for the vacant managerial position at Wigan.

Is that for the Wigan Warriors or Athletic. The Warriors would be well suited to his style of hoofball.

No he's not. Owen Coyle, Steve McClaren and Rene Meulensteen are top 3 front runners for the job.

29 May 2013 20:22:47
Don't forget Sven Goran Eriksson.

League 2 (Done/nearly done deals)
R. Cresswell - York
O. Bhasera - Rotherham
D. Hylton - Fleetwood
G. Tomlin - Newport County
M. Oakley - Torquay
D. Ball - Hartlepool
D. Whittaker - Plymouth
D. Westlake - Portsmouth
R. Holmes - Morecambe
R. Howe - Plymouth

29 May 2013 19:24:22
howe is going to southend

Howe to Plymouth?

Portsmouth fans seem to state that they are signing Ricky Holmes from Barnet. With bigger crowds they can afford better wages than us. Can't see him wanting to move up north

Roterham have just signed Joe Skarz as LB, don't need another.

Daryl Westlake won't be going to Pompey. Half way through a 2year deal at Sheff Utd (signed 2012). Pompey only signing free transfers.

Come on Howe! Make this happen!

Hope these rumours are true. Good deals for Plymouth

D ball from which club?

Fleetwood

Howe is vastly overweight and lazy.

Ball at Fleetwood is a poor striker.

Mr ball fits the bill perfect to go with the rest that's why we went down

02 Jun 2013 10:54:30
Ryan cresswell is a great player and is to good for York he has just been named in league 2 team of the year so I can't see that happening

It's Richard cresswell not Ryan cresswell we don't need any more centre backs

Heard on the grapevine there is a possible player plus money deal on the cards for a swap with Holt and Hooper. Obviously not 100% fact as hasn't happened but this is a rumour forum. and this is what I've heard.

That's the same story that was going the rounds back in January.

Still not likely to happen, and would Hooper be able to cut it in the Premiership anyway? SPL isn't the same by a long long way.

Holts not good enough for Celtic, and Hooper can do much better than norwich

Middlesbrough are set to make an offer of around 1. 5 to 2 million for brazillian sensation, Adryan Oliviera Tavares. {Ed029's Note - Someone's been playing too much FIFA ;)

"the new zico" who has already turned down Manchester United is coming to boro?

Juniniho is our scout in brazil and impressed with him, and has recomended that Mobray make a bid.

Wouldn't get a visa only 16! and would love to know where boro are getting 2mill from like??

We also knocked back 3 players he recommended last season who were free transfers so I don't think he's going to make a bid for anybody just because juninho said he's good lol plus boro haven't got a penny to play with pal. well only sign free transfers or players for really cheap and got to be a bargain no doybt league 1 and 2 players. no 1 - 2mil bids (clearly knows nothing about the situation boro are in)

There's no chance of this happening, Adryan is one of the best young talents in Brazil and has rejected an offer from Manchester United. However, Gibson has said he's be willing to spend if the right player came along

He's just turned 18 actually

Gibbo get your finger out and get this young lad. he is amazing and proves it by the interest that was shown in him by man u. he is fast tricky and not afraid to have a shot at goal. and juninho wouldn't say he's good for nothing.

29 May 2013 15:58:19
Cheltenham to sign 7ft shot stopper Ricky Clark

Is that 7ft height or wide?

Unlikely - they don't need a shot stopper. They are looking to get in two strikers and a winger, they don't need to waste wages on another GK.

Good luck to them he's a clown

Cheltenham town have pulled out of a deal for Ricky Clark, after failing a medical the results come back that he full of more s*** than the gloucester city team. He is also wanted by Rentford rejects

Arsenal believed to be lining up an 8 million pound bid for Tony Watt

West Brom look set to sign Victor Wanyama for a reported 5.5 million fee

Kyle Lafferty is to sign for Fulham tomorrow on a four- year deal

Brendan Rodgers looks set to raid swansea in order to bring Ben Davies and Michel Vorm to liverpool

{Ed029's Note - I'd be very surprised if Liverpool moved for Vorm. Begovic and McCarthy of Reading are higher on their list.

Wanyama will go for a lot more than 5.5m and it will be to a much bigger club than west brom, tony watt ain't worth 8m, kyle lafferty ain't premier league class more like vauxhall conference & Vorm will not be going to Liverpool they have Begovic from Stoke lined up.
dhman

Begovic. Not vorm

8 million for tony watt but only 5.5 million for big vic. Ha ha ha ha ha

8 million for watt but only 5. 5 for wanyama what you been smoking pal.

more like 1-2 million for what and 10+ for wanyama

daviebhoy08

Wanyama won't go to a side like West Brom when there are Top PL sides such as Manchester United and Arsenal after him.

I don't see Mr Rogers making lot of headway with Swansea unless he has a big wad of cash and he certainly won't beat Man City in an auction for Ben Davies

29 May 2013 19:58:28
Lukaku for another season for West Brom would be great! Plus if they could get Sako (2.5 mil) and Sinclair (4 mil), West Brom going forward would be a great team, just worrying about their defence-

What a load of rubbish! You couldn't buy Victor Wanyama's right leg for £5.5m, Tony Watt £8m? Haaa & i'm a Celtic fan telling you he's poor! And Kyle Lafferty? Premiership? He'd be lucky to get a game in my local team! he's a DUD!

29 May 2013 21:10:46
Lafferty not good enough for Fulham

Hands off our ben, mr rodgers.

30 May 2013 11:38:55
Liverpool aren't after McCarthy. It's all Begovic

Wanyama not good enough for EPL.

Wanyama not good enough for epl you are having a laugh

One thing playing against hibs, st, miirren and the likes another when its man utd, chelsea arsenal, city spurs, or even mid table teams like liverpool wba swansea, villa and the like, small fish big pool epl, big fish small pond, spl.

Scottish pl is div 1 standard in england you could put port vale in the scottish prem and they would get champions league football every year its that poor

Dont rate him against Hibs. Rate him against Barcelona. Both games outstanding. And he scored the first goal at CP. He is a 15 million player and the likes of Arsenal are crying out for his type. Sopotcelt

Heard from a source very close to the KP that Schmeichel will be signing for Everton once Martinez has been installed as manager and Leicester will offer a contract to Luke Steele.

29 May 2013 15:54:40
Norwich are looking to make a £3 milliion bid for Watford's Troy Deeney. Seen as a long-term replacement for Grant Holt.

29 May 2013 17:22:39
Don't think the owners would let Deeney got for 3mil, maybe 5mil! Deeney is fundamental to Watford FC plans for the new season!

He is not even leaving tv has said that Grant holt will leave it to the board to decide on his future and the chances of him leaving is little!

29 May 2013 18:54:30
The days of Watford selling players on the cheap have long gone.

Pozzo's aiming to build the squad and not sell so unless a massive bid comes in he isn't going anywhere

29 May 2013 19:36:53
£3 million for a guy who's 24 and doesn't have an outstanding goal scoring record seems quite realistic. Could be a good signing for Norwich.

Haha. No.

Ha ha ha.

No Thanks. Got better to spend our £m's on, and Horse ain't going anywhere!

Deeney has had a good scoring record though. He missed the first 3 months of the season and scored the 5th most goals (10 goals behind top scorer)

I'd much rather have Deeney than Murray (1/2 of his goals were penalties. ). Deeney holds the line, can handle the physicality of the Premier League and has shown that he has scoring boots in the past 18 months.

Personally think that £3m is not enough. He signed a new deal recently, he's a very important player to us so I don't see him leaving.

DOESN'T HAVE A GOOD STRIKE RATE? I THINK YOU'LL FIND HE'S SCORED OVER ONE IN EVERY 2 MATCHES

29 May 2013 15:04:54
David Vaughan to Crystal Palace for 2mill

Injury prone {Ed003's Note - ??}

All you need is Adam & DJ Campbell and you will turn into Blackpool

Think the first reply is a little confused and thinks you are talking about James Vaughan from Norwich. Not David, the Ex Blackpool CM. Pretty average whichever way you look at it.

29 May 2013 15:01:18
Crewe Alexandra are keen to sign Preston's Joel Byrom who is keen to leave to find first team football and has failed to settle in his first season at the club.

29 May 2013 17:28:31
good they have to pay a fee

Please be true. I'll drive you there myself

Reason no first team football is because he isn't good enough

Byrom to crewe please please please get rid of the fat useless git

Someone would need to drive him there. He gets lost on a football pitch, never mind a motorway!

Lol at the above posts - byrom showed signs last year of what he can do, give him a chance

I have to agree with mos posts. Byrom was poor for Preston last season.

29 May 2013 14:57:09
Watford's Stephen McGinn is a transfer target for Doncaster Rovers. He was on loan at Shrewsbury in the season just gone, after finding himself down the pecking order after the Watford takeover.

29 May 2013 17:24:49
He didn't fall down the pecking rorder at Watford, he was recovering from a bad injury and needed some game time. Top player, Zola will be holding onto him this season, FACT!

He's a good player but was terribly unlucky with the timing of his injury as so much has changed since he last played. I wish him well wherever he goes.

I thought he was signing for Yeovil Town?

He was released and has been linked with Shrewsbury

Zola won't be holding on to him as he's officially been released

As a watford fan reading these post some of these are ridiculous. FACT! it was annoucned mcginn would be leavingt watford over a month ago

He will be signing for Yeovil or Shrewsbury.

AFC Wimbledon news

Huw Johnson, who has been released, to join either Dagenham or Luton.

Jack Midson to join Rotherham for £50,000.

Jesse Darko to sign on free transfer.

Is Jesse Darko, Donnie's lad by any chance?

Losing Midson, in short, would be a disaster. To find a player who can get you 15 league goals a season will be almost impossible on our budget, add the assists and his leadership, £50k is a real bargain. Understandable from his POV The man is class.

If we sign darko I will not be getting a season ticket he poor doesn't move doesn't battle he's a useless

Be a real task for Ardley to replace a player like Midson. Really hoping he stays with us

Jesse Darko was pretty disappointing when he played, however he didn't play too much, so ardley may have seen something in him in training. And Although the Midson scenario would be a disaster, in Ardley I trust. x

Darko was used as a scapegoat for our poor form at the end of the season. Wasn't to bad and showed some promise, good pace to and can finish (showed this at cardiff)
Midson won't leave.

Jack Midson isn't going anywhere, he's under contract, he's one of the first names on our teamsheet and it would take a stupid offer for Wimbledon to sell!

We turned down a 6-figure offer for Midson from Rotherham last year. He's not going for 50k!

30 May 2013 10:31:44
I would be amazed if this Midson rumour was true. In June 2012, Wimbledon rejected a six-figure bid for Midson from Rotherham, and he signed an improved contract with the Dons later that month. He was the club's top scorer again last season and was also deservedly POTY. If we were selling him it would be for a lot more than £50k.

Darko USELESS, he wasnt a scapegoat he just wasnt good enough. Too much of a boy

Bit harsh on darko, he made a handful of substitute appearances

50k that's ridiculous he is worth much much more than that to Wimbledon. If we sell him it will be for a sum which is large enough to support a decent replacement

Derby representatives have met up with Johnny Russell and his agent to talk personal terms after a £800,000 deal was agreed by the two clubs.

Matthew Killgallon will also enter talks with Derby at the start of next week.

If true glad derby met Dundee United's asking price because he has been a very good player and Derby is the perfect place for him to develop as a player, if the Italian option has gone.

One step away from the best league in world too.

No bids accepted yet by Dundee United, Celtic & at least 2 other Championship clubs monitoring situation

Killgallon in talks with ipswich

I hope this is true but...

Bristol City's Paul Anderson to join newly promoted Yeovil Town

Oh marvellous he's under contract with Bristol city for another year

That would be a good signing. Yeovil will sign a player from Bristol City for sure at some point.

Cant be correct, yeovil would not be able to afford his wages, he's a former liverpool and notts forest player

I hope city keep hold of Anderson he didn't get plaid much with mccinines but shined with sod

Anderson will be essential for Bristol City this year, I would expect him to cost a bit as he is highly rated by both fans and staff.

Well said lumie I also hope we keep Paul at the club

THE BIG REVEAL:

Gus Poyet Manager of Brighton and Hove Albion was suspended over talks with Jose Mourinho to become Assistant Manager/Manager in waiting at Chelsea FC. Roman Abramovich has masterminded this plan as he looks for some stability in the future.

In an ironic twist it also seems that Roberto di Matteo looks set to take over from Gus at Brighton after a website reveal shows Roberto as manager.

Tony Bloom and Brighton and Hove Albion will recieve the compensation from Gus' Contract, but part of the deal will see promising young talent of Marko Marin and Gael Kakuta go out on loan to BHA

Absolute drivel! Mourinho will bring in his own team, Poyet was suspended by heat of the moment comments that were made and I believe the board were tired of his inappropriate comments. It is a fact his relationship with the club and the local press (who now seem out to get him) have been strained since the Reading enquiry in January. He threw his toys out of his pram when he realised Brighton were not getting to Wembley where even as a loser he would pick up £4m to spend on the team during the summer, this is his big beef, supposed lack of funds. Brighton players budget last year was £14m Palace's was £10m. Not surprised Andy Naylor is gunning for him, he probably wants him as next Stoke manager as Gus/Stoke speculation is all in the Brighton press. (Andy Naylor Brighton Evening Argus main Brighton reporter is a Stoke fan).

I can't see this to be honest. I think Matteo being linked with Brighton is a possiblity. But Poyet with Mourinho? Highly doubt it.

Slight flaw in this "reveal. " Tony Bloom would grant permission for them to speak to Poyet anyway, they have (had) an agreement concerning compensation should either party decide to part ways.

Palace's was not £10m, the team that started against Watford in the final, which Brighton didn't make, only cost £2.1m. And that was a team built over a few seasons. Brighton had a huge budget with no reward. {Ed003's Note - It might include wages ?? }

29 May 2013 13:35:41
Bristol City have enquired about Coventry City defender Richard Wood

He's a free agent coventry released him last month and is a quality defender and should hel bristol city to go straight back up

Wood would be a quality signing and for free what a bargain hope this is true

As if that's true

29 May 2013 13:33:16
Deals Done - Bobby Zamora and Shaun Wright-Philips will sign for Brighton with Ulloa going the other way as Harry looks to strength QPR attack.

I would love it to see bobby Zamora return to Brighton

SWP is one of Wayne Bridge good friends, could bode well!
Would not want Zamora instead of Leo as would weaken BHA.

Brighton should not look to sign tired old players who will spend most of the season out injured.

How can we make signings with all this manager malarkay

Wouldn't take Zamora back. He's damaged goods, and Brighton have more ambition than he has now.

- He left us to go to his "life long ambition" & play for the Hammers - didn't cut it there & hasn't been the star anywhere that he was at B&HA.

Tough.

Stop making absolute nonsense rumours about Zamora, get over it he's gone.

Bridge will sign for QPR and as for Swp and Zamora going to Brighton they both have big contracts and won't break them

30 May 2013 13:50:27
Zamora like Vicente be out for most of the season injured

Zamora has passed his best before date so no thanks. SWP rumoured to be going to Stoke with Hughes. let's keep Ulloa especially if the rumour of Harry going to Brighton has any legs.

I've never even heard of Ulloa but he's got to be better than Zamora

29 May 2013 13:32:27
James Vaughan back in England now after his stag feeling it abit still so will relax for a few days before having talks with any club. Huddersfield very keen and Vaughan will talk to them first. Derby also interested. If Huddersfield can name the right price and give Vaughan the right contract he could be a terrier by end of next week. Derby will try there best to make him a ram and will be waiting in the wings if the deal falls through with Huddersfield.

Who are you, his best man or his agent?

I don't think its simply talk to Huddersfield if its good he will sign. Vaughan will 100% see what Derby have and weigh up both. That is slightly presumptuous that Huddersfield will get the player. Both Derby and Huddersfield have met Norwich's required amount.

We will have to wait and see. Plenty more fish in the sea if JV decides to go elsewhere.

For the first time in his entire career JV has had a virtually injury free season, scored more goals than any other season & become a real fans favourite at HTAFC. You would think he would be desperate to now lay down some roots now after being loaned from club to club, under many different coaches & physios, who don't fully understand how to manage his injury problems. He has commented how well he's been looked after with the manager & backroom staff at HTAFC to enable him to have the season he's had, so fingers crossed that will help sway things in towns favour, but, if he chooses Derby then they will have a great player providing they can keep him fit. Good luck to the lad wherever he decides to go, great professional, powerful, energetic with a good eye for goal! Got my fingers crossed he'll be a Terrier next season but we'll see! UTT!

Really sad to see him leave NCFC - always promising when he played, and you knew he had the talent, if not the chances - and injuries always stopped him before he really got going.

I'd have liked to see him have one real season injury-free season at Carra Rd

Very happy for him that he's had a good time at Huddersfield - Hope that he makes it permanent there if that's what he wants.

29 May 2013 13:32:25
Oldham to sign former Doncaster GK Gary Woods as a replacement for Alex Cisak who will not be signing a new contract.

Cant see it. Cisak is the only GK at the club, he was only unhappy with the lack of games he had last season.
Who are your sources?

Cisak is not the only goalkeeper we have at the club. We have a very promising young keeper called Luke Simpson

Really take it you have his phone number all the way to OZ as that is where Cisak is at the moment.

Cisak will be our number one next season.

Cisak won't be our keeper. Lost his place last season after losing form following collapse of move to Peterborough. Has been quite clear that he wants to move on.

Woods, although prone to the odd error, wouldn't be too bad though LJ may prefer someone with more experience & Luke Simpson as back up.

Luke Simpson is no where near up to the standard of a professional league yet IMO. He is showing great potential however, I agree.

29 May 2013 23:52:40
they wanna get hyde s goalie dave carnell signed. {Ed003's Note - Cheers Dave}

The experienced keeper/Simpson route is the way we should go with our keepers. Lots of other League 1 clubs use this format

Woods is awful, anyone would be better than him, glued to his line constantly.

Bring Bouzanis back!

Dont bring bouz back! HORRIBLE distribution, can never stay on his line. We need to keep Cisak, top quality him

Norwich striker Grant Holt wanted by Australian side Melbourne heart for fee in region of £3 million

Holt has his kids settled in a school and he doesn't want them moving. He will be at Norwich another year. This is the most ridiculous thing written

3 mill well over priced {Ed034's Note - it'll cos them that in meat for his barbecues

Its true but not 3m they offerd holt 60k a week wages but only 500k to norwich

Why is it ridiculous? It is quite well publicised in Australia. It is true that they want him but I highly doubt he will go. As you say, his children have been moved to Carlisle for school reasons and Holt himself wants to stay at Norwich for the rest of his career.

If anyone is prepared to pay £3 million we should snap their hands off. We can they use this as part on an investment in a younger faster forward

This story was in the pink un a couple a days ago tbh

Grant holt has moved back to his own stomping ground up carlise in last few months and flies down to norwich for games! so move back to northeast is on the cards, close source to family

29 May 2013 14:32:59
Northampton Town's youngster Lewis Hornby is on the radar for many championship teams and also some premier league clubs are monitoring his situation.

Some Yorkshire Summer Signings :

Titus Bramble - Leeds
Reece Wabara - Leeds
Chris Humphrey - Leeds

Chris O'grady - Barnsley
Adam Hammill - Barnsley
Gabriel Zakuani - Barnsley

James Vaughan - Huddersfield
Jamie Patterson - Huddersfield
Lee Tomlin - Huddersfield

Grant Mccan - Sheffield Wednesday
Jay Simpson - Sheffield Wednesday
Kaspars Gorks - Sheffield Wednesday

Sam Saunders - Doncaster
Sam Boldock - Doncaster
Steven Mcphail - Doncaster

Gary Hooper - Hull
James Tomkins - Hull
James Mccarthy - Hull

Scott Arfield - Sheffield United
Joel Lynch - Sheffield United
Nathan Doyle - Sheffield United

Gary Madine - Rotherham
Scott Wagstaff - Rotherham
Simon Church - Rotherham

Andy Welsh - Bradford
Serge Gnabry - Bradford
Billy Painter - Bradford

It's puzzling that Sheffield you have yet to make a managerial appointment and yet have apparently signed 3 new players. I hope the new manager, whoever he is, wants them in his squad!

James McCarthy to Hull?. you're havin a laugh

Forget about sam saunders joining dony I heard that but just realised he signed a new contact at brentford sorry guys

-Sam Saunders has signed a new deal at Brentford.
- Chris Humphrey will go to Rangers
- Can't see Barnsley having the money to pay for all three of those players

As a Hudds fan, I would like the ins and outs seen here!

We still need forwards though & with Lynch going (according to this) we'd need defenders to!

Whys every team signing 3 players.
Just a coincidence?

Lynch under contract at Huddersfield and valued at £750k, do the blades have this kind of money? He is a very good player but clearly something gone wrong with his relationship with either the club or Mark Robins. He could have a big season in front of him if he gets his head right.

Whats chances of all those teams signing 3 players each!

I'd say Donny got best deal there.

For your information, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield and Hull are not in South Yorkshire. Start again.

Sam Saunders has just signed a new contract with brentford.

29 May 2013 19:38:30
Where does it say south Yorkshire? It says some yorkshire transfers.

More agent hype

Who mentions South Yorkshire? READ AGAIN! :O)

Thats not only players the yorkshire sides are signing its just 3 each club some will sign 6 or 7

No chance of madine going Rotherham and painter is not going Bradford

The person who mentioned South Yorks should have gone to specsavers! It's says "some" not "south"

If Leeds sign Bramble I give up all hope!

As a Barnsley fan i'd happily see Zakuani come to us but doubt it. Also doubt Lee Tomlin would go to Huddersfield, great player and will probably come stright back up with Peterborough, next season as much as I hate to say it I see us Hudderfield and Yevil going down

Yeovil will not be going down, they'll shock the championship. Here's to hoping.

Bramble to Leeds, jog on

Some of these are believable. Tomlin won't go to huddersfield, as they are only offering £250k, with peterborough looking for about £4million. even though this is about 4 times what he is really worth, they've done it to put other clubs off.

29 May 2013 14:13:59
Emile Heskey set to make a shock return to England signing a 1 year deal with an option of a second at Bristol City.

HUMMMMMMMM No I don't think so!

Wrong signed an extension with the Newcastle jets

Stoke Looking to bring in-
John Brayford-Derby
Martin Olsson-Blackburn
Junior Hoilett-QPR
Andreas Cornelius

Out:
Whitehead-Release
Delap-Release
Upson-Release
Pennant- Release
Sidibe-Release
Nash-Release
Owen-Retiring
Whelan-Crystal Palace
Begovic- Liverpool
Etherington
Kightly
Palacios

Hmmm, judging by Hughes' track record those 4 will cost you roughly £30m.

Stoke won't go in for Brayford now Pulis has left.

In:
Hoilett - 5mil
Taraabt - 8mil
Brayford - 4mil
Olsson - 4mil
Samba - 5mil
McCleary - 2mil
Out:
Whitehead - Free agent
Delap - Carlisle (free)
Upson - Brighton (free)
Pennant - Toronto (free)
Sidibe - Retire
Nash - Retire
Owen - Retire
Adam - Crystal Palace (5mil)
Begovic - Manchester United (20mil)

He signed nzonzi, samba, Nelsen and Santa Cruz for £3million an then they got sold for £32 million. Would love Hughes back at rovers a better manager than allardyce

4 million for brayford? seriously? he's worth 500k at the maximum, Shotton is better

Hughes will be given 15m at the very most. let's see him scoop some gems with that

QPR had a bid of £12.5 million on the table from Anzi for Samba. Adel and Hughes had a falling out and Adel slated him when he was sacked. Maybe Stoke will get Hoilett for around £4million my money would be on Hughes going for Diakite and M'bia. With Crouch heading back to loftus rd

Palace won't be wasting £5m on Adam.

From a Derby fan, Brayford is class, but I'll drive him to Stoke to £4m with one year left on his contract!

Hughes not had his press conference yet but some claim to know his dealings. Think he'll do well for them. Stoke a well run club with a smart football chairman

Written by a true stoke fan, pulis asked us stoke fans 2 get behind our new manager so let's do exactly that out of respect, you never know Hughes might prove us wrong, i'm sure pulis would want his fellow Welshman, stoke and fans 2 stick together and do well like we always have done

''Hughes will be given 15m at the very most. let's see him scoop some gems with that'' Considering the fact that if Stoke finish 10th they will earn around £70-£75m from TV revenue and from the PL, £15m would be an massive under investment.

Yes Brayford is class and he is on about signing a new contract at Derby that is why I would pay the 4mil also Hughes is expected to have around 20-25mil spending money and according to Ian Holloway he wants Bent and Adam

I can see Palace getting Adam. Holloway really rates him from back when they were at Blackpool

29 May 2013 14:07:48
Former Chelsea & Wolves CB Micheal Mancienne to join Sunderland from Hamburg - roumered to be around £4M - Crystal Palace, Stoke and Aston Villa have also expressed an interest.

Welcome to him, niether one position or the other,

Wolves johnson and ohara to cardiff 4. 5 for the two.

hope its right both overrated money grabbers who at very best poor to OK championship players

Stoke won't pay £4m for a substitute CB.

You probably would now you have Hughes ha ha

29 May 2013 14:05:15
Bristol city are set to sign young arsenal trio following their release from arsenal, they are sead hajrovic, jernade meade and conor henderson and all three will be completed when keith burt returns from holiday.

Cant see this happening

Just because we signed wynter doesn't mean we're going to sign all of Arsenal's youngsters.

Cheltenham Town are in talks to sign Ashley Grimes and Rene Howe.

Belivable I must say I hope this is the case

Have you been talking to the ketchup bottle again? Mug.

I believe one is true - MY to make announcement either today or in the coming days.

29 May 2013 11:36:12
Odion Jude Ighalo will be bought in to replace the returning Alex Geijo {Ed029's Note - Don't forget to name the club you are referring to - i.e. Watford.

29 May 2013 18:57:13
Geijo looks likely to return to Granada

Unfortunately Geijo like Tamas Priskin before him looks like a fantastic player except where it matters most for a striker in front of goal, won't be missed next season

Agreed. Never really felt that he was any good.

Tamas Priskin could score, had a decent career going until he signed for Ipswich.

29 May 2013 11:37:08
Rumours circulating around Wolverhampton that funds will be generated for transfer via the sale of on loan Hibs striker Leigh Griffiths for £2-£2.5m

Griffiths leaving for half a mill

He has just signed a 12 month extension to his contract with Wolves. He will return but may go back on loan to Hibbs

29 May 2013 13:32:22
Rotherham in talks with Plymouth full back Onismor Bhasera and Wimbledon striker Jack Midson.

29 May 2013 12:24:55
Port Vale interested in Ritchie Wellens and Gary Mcsheffrey. CB will also be a focus with a few names linked from league 1 and championship teams but no concrete offers made at present.

Whose CB?

Try centre back

29 May 2013 12:20:49
Austin set to leave burnley and sign a 3 year deal with nottingham forest when the transfer window opens.

Charlie will only leave for PL team

29 May 2013 14:30:55
I believe the clubs have agreed a fee of £3 million rising to £4 million if Forest get promotion - quite probable next season.

29 May 2013 14:13:04
No chance if austin goes its to the premier league

He's going to Villa

Now that's completely unbelieveable!

If he stays in the championship then he is going to Bournemouth (FACT)

29 May 2013 15:39:59
Sean dyche has already said he expects Charlie Austin and Kieron trippier too this summer and wants to bring in:
Harry forrester- free
Harlee dean- 250k
Richard Chaplow-free
Danny fox and billy sharp in swap deal for Austin + 2million
Nahki wells- 500k
Nick Powell- loan

I don't think austin will join a club like forest. I think he will go to the prem. utc

If we got Forrester, Dean, Chaplow, Fox, Sharp, Wells and Powell for 750k whilst selling Austin for 2million that would be the best business ever done. Wouldn't need to sell Trippier an we would be very strong

29 May 2013 19:01:40
please be true

Austin, £4m? You're having a giraffe. Go for a real laugh and let's say 24p and a bag of crisps.

29 May 2013 22:06:38
Charlie austin won't be at bournemouth because if he leaves burnley its for the premier league that's a fact little bournemouth or premier league erm. No brainer

30 May 2013 10:19:42
4m, looking at 6m as a minimum and if he was staying in the championship it's a burnley

29 May 2013 13:29:26
Chris Humphreys will make his decision on which club to move to when he comes back from holiday.
They are:
Rangers - likely to be a starting player, wages will be good but still stuck in the scottish leagues and still far away from family who live in London.

Leeds United - Starting posistion is not guaranteed but wages will be good, in a league which promotes career progression and will have less of a trip to London.

Preston North End - Starting posistion is pretty much guaranteed, financially Preston won't be able to match Rangers and Leeds but will more than likely be able to provide a good contract and can offer possibility of promotion. He will also be able to see his family more regulary.

So it depends on what motivates Humphreys.
Money - Rangers/Leeds
Starting games - Preston/Rangers
Competitive Leagues - Leeds/Preston

Preston will be best for him

A very good post. But Rangers have this in the bag simply as that.

29 May 2013 19:28:28
Rangers are one of the biggest teams in the Uk and most successful club in the world. been offerd 3 year contract, by that time will be back playing in the soil, and possibly Europe. Only thing that he has to consider is whether he wants to be closer to his family.

Now tell me why a bottom half league 1 mediocre team is a better choice than a promotion challenging championship team wiv a premier league fan base. would get first team footy and a better wage. everything is better

He wants to live closer to his family in the midlands if you ever read the papers.

'Promotion challenging championship team' even though you also finished in the bottom half of your respective league. The only place Leeds are going is down if they can't sort out their managerial mess ups. Replicating EXACTLY what Preston did.

His family Live in the Midlands, Only hour and half drive from Preston to Brum.

29 May 2013 13:20:47
Chris humphrey is championship level not league 1

29 May 2013 13:19:07
Huddersfield to sign Nathan Doyle from Bradford on a free. Scott Arfield is expected to sign for Mk Dons after choosing them over Motherwell. Matt Crooks to start next season on loan at Halifax now they have been promoted to the Conference.

Nathan Doyle on a free! have you been taking something you shouldn't?

Dont talk dribble free for doyle think they wrote this in there sleep!

I'm a halifax fan and we had crooks last season and he was nothing special, has he developed? and any other loan signings to halifax?

(I'm a City fan) Doyle will leave on a free his contract is up at the end of the season. Need to find a perfect partner for Jones in midfield (Arfield) and Doyle's wages will cover that.

Hopefully we don't sign Doyle, don't rate the lad will do prob ok in league one

29 May 2013 13:13:37
Crystal Palace look to follow Norwich's example and buy young hungry players from the Championship. Some players they will enqire about (values are only predictions):

T Ince, Blackpool £8 - £10m
M Phillips, Blackpool £4.5m - £6m
W Hughes, Derby £5m - £7m
A Mariappa, Reading £2m - £3m
C Austin, Burnley £4m - £7m
A Cresswell, Ipswich £2m - £3m
N Redmond, Birmingham £3m - £5m
L Bridcutt, Brighton £4m - £6m
L Trotter, Millwall £2m - £3m
T Lees, Leeds £1.5m - £2m

Obviously Palace will not be able to sign all these players but shows the direction they are aiming there summer activities.

You've way overpriced most on that list

You have got to be joking. Palace will only be able to afford 1 or 2 players if they are lucky. Their ground is a disgrace and doesn't meet PL standards. All the money will be spent on that, and they will finish bottom.

They only had 1 player in CL, Zaha, and when I saw him he was s***.

Cresswell will cost at least 4 million.

Will Hughes at Derby, they will want 8-10 million. Barcelona, United, City and Arsenal were monitoring his situation

Bridcutt will never go to palace

Bridcutt cost 10 million

He is staying for year

Millwall wouldn't sell Trotter to Palace. Yet on the other hand for 2Million I would bite there hand off.

29 May 2013 14:32:42
Trotter hungry? Do me a favour! Unless that is we've got a vastly improved version under wraps? Two bob will buy the other one!

Turned down 4.5m from Villa for Cresswell who may come back with a new bid so why sell cheaper to Palace? Good luck next season by the way!

I'd take £3m for Cresswell in an instant. Lichaj on a free or Burnet for a small fee to fill the void. Then invest in a quality striker and creative midfielder. and BOOM. PLAYOFFS!

Never understand why you would buy players who have been in a relegated team e. g. Mariappa. He wasn't regular for Reading and isn't EPL standard. Better looking abroad as you get more for your money.

Matty Phillips. £4.5m

Yes please. !

Palace won't get any of these players for these prices. most will b a good 3-4m more

29 May 2013 15:24:05
Norwich didn't spend anywhere near those fees in the first 2 years! only 3rd season one signing so far and still yet to see if any other 5m + join. Better start looking a bit more realistic.

Cannot see Bridcut going to Palace---he has more ambition---anyway STRONG rumour Gus Poyet has settled his differences and is going to stay--if so he would not let Bridcutt go and def. not for 6m

You will have to pay more than 7m for Hughes, 10+m I would expect. The club has said it would have to be a ridiculous offer for us to let him go!

5-7m for Will Hughes? Dream on. 10m has been quoted as the lowest available price.

Going down ha ha ha

29 May 2013 16:53:30
please take Trotter off our hands for 3m!

Steve Parish has already stated that the revenue over the next 12 months will be close to £80 mill and would spend half that on players. Today he has stated that he is looking to only sign 1 or 2 players. Either he is going back on his words or he is lining up some hog wage loan signings.

Mariappa is worth at least £4m

No chance will Mariappa leave for Palace. He's staying and will be our future captain back in the premier league soon enough.

29 May 2013 19:18:57
The cost to bring the ground up to standard is £1.5m, 500k on data cabling 500k on a new post match press area and 500k on a new area for sky tv etc which will be between the holmesdale and aw stands.

Never understand why you would buy players who have been in a relegated team e. g. Mariappa. He wasn't regular for Reading and isn't EPL standard. Better looking abroad as you get more for your money.

seen much of him this year? One of few highlights in readings season. Often very solid and good passer

Tom lees will be at least 5 million -if he was for sale-but he ain't going no-where-pay peanuts look in non league

Oh dear a few jealous posts on here. (going down ha ha) (ground is a disgrace) etc etc. We nearly got liquidated 3 years ago, the ground was the last of our worries! We all know we're struggle, but l don't care! We will have a much stronger squad should we need to be promoted again.

There is no way Palace will get Tom Ince, he has twice as many goals and assists as Zaha this year, therefore 1. He is worth more than Zaha 2. If he leaves it will be to a big PL club, not a one season PL club

Everyone is so unrealistic on here, non of the players apart from Ince is worth more than 4m, they are championship players at best. This is the real world not football manager! Norwich only paid a few million for snodgrass who at the time was the best winger in the league. Get real people or shut up

I think you need to get real aswel pal because its already happening every year, wickham, rodriguez, zaha just to name a few championship players who went for big money, just because its the championship doesn't mean there isn't any good players worth millions, its how much a club values its player what determines the final price

All unrealistic look your chairman said we are looking to get the best squad we can for the least money and by the way from every blackpool fan we collectively would like to say to crystal palace and their supporters your welcome

Mariappa was a regular for reading, one of the few highlights of our season. 2-3 million, dream on

29 May 2013 13:12:19
Celtic are just days away from signing Johnny russell from dundee united and young bulgarian sensation alexsander tonev. Celtic looking to be getting to the last 16 of the cl again so will dig deep in the transfer market for more signings.

29 May 2013 13:01:15
mcdonald signing for chesterfield tomorrow from morecambe

Hope not he is bang average!

How certain is this going to happen

29 May 2013 13:01:24
Real Madrid to use Raphael Varane as part of a player and cash deal for Gareth Bale.

Varane is a promising prospect and no way will they use him as part of the deal! Think Callejon and cash would be more likely.

No they will use Modric and Higuain

29 May 2013 13:00:31
Newport County in talks with stuart fleetwood

29 May 2013 12:55:44
there is a strong possibility thet Luke Shaw is heading to Old Trafford for £18million plus Alexander Buttner

Leighton Baines is going to Manchester United

He's not worth that much

THE MOST RIDICULOUS POST. did you dream this?

Sorry, but that is way, way over priced.

29 May 2013 12:51:40
Scott sinclair set for a £4m move to west brom. Southampton & Hull are also interested

Sinclair and Sako could be a deathly duo behind Shane Long, those two would be a great buy, not too expensive and still only middle 20's. If those two players want to shine in the future then they need to shine now, before it is too late. West Brom is a great place to do this.

Scott sinclair going to liverpool. no chance will he go to west brom

Why would Liverpool want Sinclair?

Will city pay his wages if ita loan deal bet he is paid way above any saints player.

Theres more chance of him going to west brom than liverpool

29 May 2013 12:50:55
Gareth Bale to sign for Real Madrid on July 1st for 65m

29 May 2013 12:43:05
Matt green and adam chapman will sign for newport county next week deal done

Haha Chapman maybe green stated wants to play at a higher level and that ain't at Newport and if l1 champship don't materialise he will sign with Mansfield just waiting. for his Thailand holiday to finish then he's sittigg. down with cox and Radford to thrash out his contract situation

29 May 2013 12:42:12
Alan McCormack of Swindon is set to become a free agent this week with Brentford favourites to sign him.

I'd be over the moon with that!

Wants to stay in the Swindon are due to family, whether this is true or not only time will tell. Hope Swindon up their offer, would be gutted to lose such an influential player for no money.

McCormack has said that he will not take a pay cut & so will turn down a 1 year extension as he wants atleast a 2 year & Brentford are prepared to offer him that.

Lets face it al the players that Paulo brought to the club are leaving I am not sure what the futrue holds for next season we will be a midtable league one club going now where, nothing to look forward too no players of real value coming in, I think the championship is million miles away like the Moon.

29 May 2013 12:37:02
the story out of the Italian press this morning is a meeting took place in London between Udinese, Granada and Watford to discuss player movements for next year, and it was agreed Watford will permanently sign Abdi, Anya, Battochio, Ekstrand, Neuton, Pudil and Vydra.

In addition Granada will provide Ighalo and Udinese will provide Ranegie plus a central defender (possibly Daniele Mori) for next season.

Alex Geijo will return to Spain.

The story also reports Vydra may be sold if a strong offer is received this summer from Arsenal or Tottenham, otherwise he will stay with Watford.

That's one sweet looking team next season!

29 May 2013 13:01:03
I think they would have had to speak with the FA as well because of the embargo! But that would be a wicked team next season!

Apparently it's also on udinese blog as well which is normaly very reliable with transfer info (well it has in the past) what a team well have I still think however we need some championship experienced players in the team

We need some midfield players not forwards!

Italian press may not understand the fact everything transfer dealing with Watford now has to go through the FA and with high value players like Vydra, I doubt he'll be allowed to sign in this window. But even without him and possibly a couple of the others, a few proven championship players to add and I'd say top 6 again next year

Mori or Angella are the the two defenders circulating

29 May 2013 14:37:41
If these players are that good, why don't other clubs try to buy them? Doubt whether the Hornets will even make the play-offs next season - they have been sussed out (no backbone).

29 May 2013 16:49:43
I've been told that Zola might be off to Wigan but I really can't see this happening.

Football is a funny game tho. might just happen?!

Another player who may join Watford is Brazilian attacking midfielder Maicosuel who is also at Udinese

29 May 2013 16:58:06
It would appear that the FL have made a mistake in that any embargo would finish on 31st August and that falls on a Saturday so it looks like the transfer window will close on the 2nd of September so even if they tried to block some of our signing we still have time to sign anyone we want in the window is this a loophole

To those about the embargo: it finishes on 31st August, transfer window closes 2nd September, for two days we can sign who we want.

Also, all the players are coming in on a free so transfer fees will not be involved meaning ffp is not a problem. All hail the Pozzo's.

29 May 2013 18:52:19
Don't you be worrying about the embargo - purely a procedural matter and will not impede the Pozzo group using its assets as they see fit

From tv Sport: "There could also be an opportunity for Watford to sign players on 2 September, as the transfer window's usual closing date of 31 August falls on a Saturday and is therefore likely to be the following Monday. "

So no matter how strong the embargo is, we can still sign the players.

£12m turned down for Vydra correct but Zola is committed to the WFC cause.

If you look on the FL website about our hearing, you will see that is doesn't actualy specify the end of August it says 'the end of the window (around August the 31st) so that's not strictly true.

Going to be a very interesting summer, not really sure what the embargo actualy means as its all very grey

All this sounds great but I can't see everybody joining. We desperately need a holding centre mid to play alongside Hogg considering Chalobah has gone back to Chelsea. Also I feel as if we should sign a new centre attacking midfielder even if Abdi joins permanently just so he has a bit of competition to get into the first team COYH

From my understanding they have to show the details of each transfer to the Football League for approval. Mind you I'm not too worried about them as they decided Laurence Bassini and a number of former owners of Portsmouth as fit and proper to run a football club

Here's an analogy for the Transfer Embargo:

Basically it's like telling your parents (The FA) where you're going (signing) before you go, because you did something that made them not trust you (Bassinni messed up) as much. But you're still allowed to go out (sign players) as you've been punished another way. (The fine Watford received)

{Ed029's Note - Not quite. The FA still have to grant permission to make the signing(s).

29 May 2013 12:28:33
Utd to move on Nani, Anderson and one of the forward line.

Coming in Fellani (worst kept secret)

Winger with Chevy the new sponsors offering to pay to fund the transfer of Ronaldo as its cheaper to buy him and sell millions of shirts with their logo on than fund a tv campaign globally

There will be no movements defensively or in goal unless Lindegard decides to either go out on loan or look for a move.

Left back is not a focus and baines will not be pursuded

29 May 2013 12:00:41
Reports from Turkey suggest Hull have had a 1.8m euro fee agreed with Besiktas for keeper Allan McGregor

2.5m is what I've heard

29 May 2013 11:57:48
Crystal palace are lining up a move for west brom striker Peter Odemwingie.

I'll drive him there! Oops sorry he has already
Parked up at the ground.

29 May 2013 14:40:56
True - he has dropped his wage demands and will settle for £40,000-a-week at Palace. Good replacement for Zaha.

Peter Odemwhingie. A player who wants to become an overpaid mercenary (look at QPR) when infact he is average at best. Palace would be better going for someone with hunger and desire, maybe Adam Le Fondre or to push out the boat, one of Charlie Austin or Jordan Rhodes.

Hes only on 40000 grand aweek at albion so how has he dropped his wages demands

29 May 2013 11:55:08
Johnny Russell transfer has taken another step.

Derby County spoke to Dundee last week and Dundee were rumoured to have a value of 1 million on his head. However because of the contract situation they would be willing to accept lower. Derby put forward the 'idea' of a 650K bid in discussions no bid though, despite reports north of the border.

A bid by Derby WAS then made, this was rumoured to be a bit higher than the number in the discussions so maybe 750k instead of 650k.

With that bid tabled. Naturally Dundee then came out through Steve Thompson and said that they were not going to say who the bid was from but it was a bit lower than their estimations. Tactics to basically say, Celtic and the other 2 championship clubs come and bid more but you certainly cannot blame United for saying they had a bid.

Now today the general consensus is that Celtic may be interested, this is by no means concrete as the Scottish Press have started saying Celtic and United have a deal in place where if United accept a bid they will let Celtic have the opportunity to match it, I highly doubt this is the case. But I fully expect Celtic to have interest.

Also reading are rumoured to be one of the other championship clubs and they could be in a good negotiating position with their premier league parachute money.

Finally Derby and Celtic are the front runners, Dundee United want around 850-900k Derby offered a bit less, will one of the 4 clubs now come in and meet the 900k mark for a player who has scored 20 goals in his first season as a striker. Also did break his leg though, and in last year of contract. My personal opinion I think Derby will bid more and then Celtic potentially could come in and get him maybe, also depends on whether Celtic want the player they may have other targets.

29 May 2013 12:29:11
He will not go for less than a million maybe higher. Huddersfield had their bid rejected last year for over a million.

If this is the case he has stated he wants to move abroad so in my eyes that rules out celtic :/

29 May 2013 13:05:36
Leicester City the other Championship club interested, apparently preparing a double swoop for Russell and Mackay-Steven.

The Huddersfield bid was for both Russell and Mcakay-Steven of £1. 25mil, rightfully turned down. But then that was before this last season

Huddersfield had a bid of 1. 25m rejected for both Russell and Mackay-Steven, not just Russell.

Huddersfield's 1. 25m bid (the one mentioned in the first reply) was for both Russell and Mackay-Steven. Stupidly low bid. Either way, Russell will not fetch more than a million.

Derby have no chance of signing Johnny Russell when they are speaking to Dundee as he doesn't play for Dundee, he plays for Dundee United or maybe whoever wrote the above has no idea about Scottish Football ha donkey

29 May 2013 10:24:44
Veteran striker Dave kitson aged 33 is set to make the move from Sheffield United to Bristol Rovers with in the next week for a undisclosed fee.

Rovers are not looking for a striker, John Ward has stated this in atleast 2 interviews pal

What a load of rubbish as his contract was only until the end of the season. How can he move for a undisclosed fee plus the fact that Dave wants to move to the U. S. A to end his footballing days so get your facts right.

29 May 2013 17:24:28
I ave heard it all now lol

29 May 2013 18:27:22
Why would it be an undisclosed fee? He is a free agent come 1st July. Anyway he wants to play in the US not Bristol!

Matty Harold and Ryan Brunt are better options. This guy was brilliant but now clearly past his best

29 May 2013 10:12:03
Gianfranco Zola wants to bring in Manchester Utd full back Alexander Bttner on a season long loan.

29 May 2013 10:12:01
Being reported on udineseblog. it that Abdi, Pudil, Neuton, Ekstrand and Battochio will remain at Watford, Geijo will return to Spain coming in is Ighalo and Renagie and also a defender probably Mori also Vydra will stay unless a big offer is made from Arsenal or Spurs

Very few of those players will be staying at Watford next season as football league are closing the loophole allowing them all to be on loan at 1 club. so, unless Watford are going to have a massive amount of money to spend, which with ffp in place I doubt. Watford could be struggling to put any kind of team together

I don't know why Watford would have to spend money in order to get those players back. As both Udinese and Watford have the same owner then he'd be foolish to strip Watford of its assets.

Think about it.

29 May 2013 16:00:16
We wouldn't have to spend money on players already owned by the Pozzo's! Would rather have Fabbrini than Ranegie or Ighalo, but still think we need a couple of decent Championship players to supplement the Udinese, Granada players that will come in!

We won't have to spend a penny. It's like Gino Pozzo transferring a pound from his right pocket to his left pocket, he's just redistributing an asset.

You people seem to forget we're owned by the same owners so its like for example, you having a fiver in your right pocket and moving it to your left! {Ed003's Note - that would be a good party trick}

"Very few of those players will be staying at Watford next season as football league are closing the loophole. "

Good lord - some people just never listen. They won't be 'on loan' next season for reasons that have already been widely circulated. If they do come to Watford, they will be signing permanent contracts - without the need for huge transfer fees. Simple research would tell you that.

29 May 2013 10:08:18
Richard Dunne has been offered a player/coach role at Oldham Athletic.

Would be great if it is true

30 May 2013 16:28:47
would drop my pants on town hall steps if true

29 May 2013 10:03:14
Highly rated Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin is a target for Watford.

29 May 2013 10:03:00
Released CB Sean St Ledger, is in talks with newly promoted championship side Yeovil Town.

He's not been released. been told he is free to look for another club

That would be good!

ROI international, would be great to see him at Huish Park

29 May 2013 11:45:57
Nemaja Vidic is a £10 million target for AC Milan and
AS Monaco

Off to Monaco then

Dj campbell in descussion with Huddersfield and a few other clubs on his future

Too old! Check out clubs blueprint on new players

Exactly

29 May 2013 11:50:46
Reading:
Outs:
Mikele Leigertwood - Leeds
Ian Harte - Leeds
Kaspers Gorkss - Barnsley
Alex Pearce - Liverpool
Nicky Shorey - Norwich
Pavel Pogrebnyak - Lokomotiv Moscow
Ins:
Jasmin Kurtic - Palermo
Dale Jennings - Bayern Munich
Stoppila Sunzu - TP Mazembe

Shorey and Harte have been released and Pearce is out of contract.

Also I think either sharp or Austin could be in. McCarthy also could be leaving so a new keeper could also be in.

29 May 2013 16:01:13
Pearce won't go Liverpool cause they got Kolo and and Sunzu was a McDermott target not Adkins

Dear god I hope not.

WOT! No Rhodes?!

I understand he was seen within 250 miles of Reading on the motorway, so he must be joining-again!

Casper gorks would be good for us :-)

Wait you're mocking us for not being stupid enough to blow £8M on someone whose just a good championship striker?

Ohhhh sick burn buddy. You got us good there.

Why would Norwich want Nicky Shorey?

29 May 2013 11:47:39
Swansea ins
Aubameyang €10 million
Canas free
Botia £2/3 million
Vela £3.5 million
Pozuelo £2/3 million
Lukaku (depending on if chelsea let him on out lone)
Koné-3 million (depending on Lukaku lone deal)

Getting canas and botia is essential to sure up the defence.

aubameyang is an awesome player would love to see him down the liberty.

pozuelo looks an excellent prospect, and I have always rated vela, ever since he was at arsenal.

lukaku and kone speak for themselves. if swans can sign even 70% of these players then it should be a good season next year.

Aubameyang - no chance as Swansea can't afford him. Profit and dividends are obviously more important for Huw and the borad than investment in players. Who knows what is best for the club, but Swansea do risk to loose their manager on this one.

10m wouldn't get Carlos Vela, and I am a Swansea fan.

Youll need to dig a little deeper for Kone onr thinks

Canas has turned down bigger money offers to come to the liberty so why wouldn't Pierre?
All this speculation over transfer money is nonsense. Laudrup would've been given a ball park figure when discussing his contract extension so he knows what he has to work with and Huw is an honest chairman who ensures the manager has as much as the club can possibly provide!

Laudrup is an honest man, always telling the truth - I doubt the Swansea board, HJ and MM are living up to what has been promised. It. s okay to rate profit and dividens over sporting ambitions - but be honest about it, and don't change the goal after that things have been agreed.
Dont underrate ML. He is a very kind and gentle man, but he won't be taken for a ride, that's for sure.

What about aspas?

Aspas is about to sign for Liverpool

Aspas just signed for Liverpool. That's one quality target gone.

Aspas has been poached by liverpool.

Aspas to Liverpool or so the reports suggest, and to the comment implying that laudrup is being taken for a ride with the board going back on its word, really? Our small club has obviously attracted decent managers and achieved its current status through false promises, I think not!

I have yet to see a recent quote from laurdup or huw that supports the papers stories, laudrup was asked about transfers in the charity match interview and said budget was agreed months ago.
swans are a great prospect for any player wanting to play attractive football in the prem and europe.
all the players listed are possible

Didnt balauge say signing aspas would be a mistake? another player linked with swansea poached by liverpool, how many is that now

Not sure aspas was right for swans controversial player like Suarez and that type of ego isn't welcome at Swansea I'm referring to his ban for a headbutt btw

Reports circulating in the press that Nigel Pearson has told as many as SEVEN of his players that they are free to look for new clubs. Richie Wellens, Paul Gallagher, Martyn Waghorn, Neil Danns, Jermaine Beckford and, perhaps suprisingly, Danny Drinkwater have all been told they are free to look for new clubs.

It could be that Nigel is looking towards several of the academy side that performed well last season, including academy player of the year Michael Cain, Harry Panayiotou and Jak McCourt.

However, this would only add to the inexperience in the squad, and it could be that Pearson is instead looking at a proven top-end Championship or Premier League player, particularly in midfield. Jay Tabb and Stephen McPhail, both out of contract, could fit the bill.

29 May 2013 12:42:46
Drinkwater is not on the list. Logan and Konchesky are the others who have been told they can leave. Set to bring in Cunningham from Bristol City £500k and in talks with Jerome Thomas and Sylvain Ebanks-Blake

29 May 2013 13:06:39
All good news if true.

I've also heard that Michael Cain could be put into the first team. not a lot of people know that.

29 May 2013 11:27:08
Gillingham Boss Martin Allen back from holiday with 4 done deals not sure who but overheard that Marlon pack was one also 2 from Burton Albion and 1 from Charlton.

The 4 signings are pack, Zola, maghoma, wagstaff

Zola and Paterson or maybe Robbie Weir??

Apparently Zola is one of them.

29 May 2013 14:52:00
Maybe zola and kee from burton and wagstaff from charlton even though he is a free agent.

The 1 from Charlton could be Wagstaff, been linked quite a few times

29 May 2013 16:11:41
I mean weir aha

Wright Phillips from Charlton.

Drury from ipswich is being completed friday

No, the one from Charlton is Tom Derry

30 May 2013 15:31:03
Derry signed at the end of last season as he played a development game against brentford

29 May 2013 11:21:05
Been told that Filip Sebo is keen on making a return back to Ibrox.

29 May 2013 11:16:06
Barry ferguson, Neal eardley and Stephen crainey all expected to sign extensions to stay at blackpool fc

Nooooooooooo. not Eardley.

There has to be a club who will take him. If Gary Taylor Fletcher can get another club WHY can't Eardley

There must be someone willing to take him. Please

Please somebody anybody take Eardley, will even throw in a packet of crisps and a free one way taxi journey.

please

Eardley is a good right back, fairly solid in defense and offers a lot going forward. No one in our current side can deliver a cross like him. BFC fans constantly scape goating him and abusing him on match days. Joke.

Good constructive input from so called Blackpool fans. well done lads

Rose tinted glasses me thinks. he might put a good cross in and can go forward.

But just let's players run at him and backs of until they get into our area.

Lets face it when baps got injured he still could not get into the starting 11 the next game, says it all really

Eardley gets so much s*** for no good reason, he is a decent attacking right back and should definitely be signed up

He didn't get in the team when Baptiste got injured as he was injured himself
'
Then as soon as he was fit he was back in (Derby at home & Bolton Away?)

Would you rather him dive in and give away needless free kicks in and around the area? Also - many fans shout and jeer when Eardley tucks in and leaves the man wide free. THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY - the back four are a unit and move left and right together with play. Notice how Crainey does EXACTLY the same yet never gets any abuse. I have been a season ticket holder for the last 7 years and the abuse by our own fans is a disgrace.

He's GONE. he's got a 3 year contract with Brum

He's their problem now!

Well I have been a season ticket holder for over 30 years mate if we are comparing sizes. And their are far better right backs than Eardley, I wish him well but no great loss

Zigic will have to take up a position somewhere between the far post & corner flag to direct Eardley's over hit crosses back into the box.

29 May 2013 11:11:24
Birmingham city have bid 1750000 for Peterborough uniteds Gabriel Zakuani

Wow where did brum get 17. 5 million from?

They couldn't even afford 750k for Caddis, how could they afford a million more on him?

Actually it was £250,000 they couldn't afford for Caddis, they will not be paying a fee for any player in near future unless club unexpectedly gets taken over.

Thats 1. 75 million not 17.5 million any way

Gabs is a great centre back, best of luck if he joins Birmingham. He's a rock at the back.

Just seen gabby zakauni in sports direct and he says he wants to stay

So Gabi who has asked to be put on the transfer list to enhance his international career, now says he wants to stay? I think this is a very far fetched story!

Not true today (June 1st) no one has bid for him according to bazza fry

29 May 2013 11:10:40
Tommy Rowe of peterbrough united is the subject of a 2 million pound bid from Fulham after being transfer listed by Peterborough united

Would be a good bit of business for the club.

Could be true however as of june 1st no one has bid for him, but he will be very good in the prem!

29 May 2013 11:07:05
Bristol City are looking for 2 big CBs one is
Jean-Yves M'voto of oldham and Darren Dennehy of Cork City.

I really hope that rumour is true about Kilkenny leaving for Bournemouth he is one of the biggest flops Bristol city have had for a long time we will be glad to see him leave however was gutting to see pitman go but glad he's hit the ground running with Bournemouth

If Kilkenny is struggling would love to see him back at Oldham

I'm pretty sure Neil Kilkenny won't want to leave Bristol City as he is on a contract that far exceeds his ability.

Nobody would pay him half of what we are paying him.

Ha ha lummie if only someone would take him away from Ashton gate fingers crossed

29 May 2013 10:59:29
Northampton are going to sign Jordan Stewart

Could happen as he is on a free

29 May 2013 10:57:55
Jamie Paterson looks set to join Huddersfield after Walsall today accepted a £1. 25m offer for him, with a 20% sell on clause.

What's this lad like? Any Walsall fans shed some light?

Whats special about Paterson only scored 16 goals in 102 games

Not saying this is true, as it hasn't been confirmed anywhere else, but Walsall will eventually sell. We've always been the same. Relegation battle next season. Poor Dean Smith, bout time they gave him some cash for a change. One step forward, two steps back with the current regime.

Hope so!

Hope he doesn't leave but it's inevitable. Huddersfield are getting a very talented young player if he leaves

Good news for Walsall, Jamie is a player with lots of potential but a little lazy off the ball

Paterson to be unveiled as a Terrier on friday 1.3 mill plus 25% sell on

This is not true Jamie Patterson is currently on holiday in Mexico and Walsall FC have not received an improved offer from Huddersfield, so as it stand he is staying at Walsall until a club offers 1. 2 -1. 8M.

Interesting posting if its true,

A player is only lazy off the ball because they are allowed to be, IF paterson comes to hudersfield he will have competition for a place, laziness won't be tolerated by Robins

Total tosh about being lazy take him out of your team last season and you would of gone down huddersfield fans will love him don't listen to bs on here!

He's an up and coming star. Great skill and vision. We shouldn't sell him though. for some reason even with big money coming in from Dan fox, troy Deeny and others, walsall's biggest ever price for bringing a player in was back in 1979. The money never gets reinvested

"You would of gone down", what a load of rubbish lol. Paterson had a lot of very average games last season. Butler, Grigg and Brandy are just as important to WFC. And I'd even add Chambers to that list. So, that just shows you don't know what you're on about. I'd take 1M for him as long as Deano gets a bit of that to reinvest. He's a good talent but not the finished article by any means. I can't see him initially starting games for Hudders next season. That's if he goes, and it's looking doubtful right now.

29 May 2013 10:52:49
Huddersfield to make another approach for Jamie Patterson at Walsall source examiner

Yawn this is getting boring, Huddersfield supporters keep pushing this rumour on here, Walsall will not sell Jamie Patterson board members are already writing up a new contract that will make him one of the highest played players ever at the club.

If huddersfield want to sign him they will sign him. They have more money. You're just a deluded walsall fan that doesn't know the fundamentals of football finance.

They won't sign him if he doesn't want to leave or the club don't wanna sell him

Ha deluded there seems to be a common misconception that Walsall do not have any money, Walsall are more than capable of matching a championship clubs wages as we make an absolute fortune from the non playing side of the club, but we will sell at the right price, I have heared it around 2million.

31 May 2013 22:08:04
walsall pay c`ship wages! I`ve heard it all now.

"walsall pay c`ship wages! I`ve heard it all now"!! what do you know about Walsall? We played at Championship level not so long ago, we have no debt, we have mulit millionaires on our board, we have a state of the art training facility and money rolling in from the non playing side of the club, Walsall do not overspend like some clubs and we are proud of it, Upthesaddlers

29 May 2013 10:48:10
Mark Hughes appointed Stoke manager on 12 month rolling contract

3 year deal with a clause for termination if relegated

When relegated not if

29 May 2013 16:03:33
give hm a chance

29 May 2013 15:54:56
it will be a shame to see stoke playing
in the championship after next season
with hughes in charge that s where
they are going

I cannot understand peter coates. I am told it was his idea to bring in mark hughes. We have been watching awful football last season under pulis and now we have mark hughes. I think the stoke city board will regret this move. Why not get a young manager with new ideas. A stokey lost faith in the stoke board.

Peter coates has lost the plot. which other team in the premier league would offer Mark hughes a managers job. I will tell you NONE.

An ispiring appointment by Coates, why Hughes, no time or respect for him, just look at the posts from Stoke fans he is not, I repeat not not not wanted here.

I want Mark Hughes here we have to support him or else we will go down then it will be the fans fault

29 May 2013 10:39:50
Grimsby Town are set to offer a contract to former Dagenham and Redbridge striker Ben Strevens. The 33 year old striker fits the bill of a back up striker for Liam Hearn, Andy Cook and Ross Hannah. Town are also looking at the availability of Fleetwood Town defender Nathan Pond who enjoyed a successful loan spell with the Mariners. I've heard a number of rumours about him coming back to Blundell Park in the near future.

29 May 2013 12:57:31
due to have a testimonial against preston so I doubt he will move any time before that

Nathan pond won't be going anywhere he recently signed a new 2 year contract and he has a testimonial this summer.

29 May 2013 10:38:35
Bury to announce the new owners also 2players to be announced as well

Well today is the day when all speculation ends and reality kicks in.

I expect Ryan Lowe to be announced as our new captain.

The new directors can only be an improvement on the last lot who failed our club misserably.

I wish they would just get on with it the business needs doing stop keeping us all poor suffering shakers in suspense.

29 May 2013 14:52:49
Lowe is two years older now, leave him in the past

He is also a much better player after his experience of playing 2 seasons in league 1 for MK DONS.

Welcome home Ryan (the legend) Lowe.

2 big signings. Zubar and Soares. imo

We need a Bank account before we can sign a player.

29 May 2013 10:28:49
Watford to try and sign Bakery Sako from wolves, although there is a lot of competition for the mans signature watford a believed to be leading the race. However, they have to get permission first due to the football league embargo which I found out isn't a real embargo so unsure if they will be able to sign him yet it all seems very grey

Cardiff, Hull or Palace will fight for him over Watford. They can offer Premiership football

29 May 2013 13:29:46
Surely Cardiff, Palace & Hull can do better.

He's a decent Championship Player but the step to the premiership might be too much too soon.

Personally I think that the promoted team will struggle this year unless they all really strengthen in the summer.

That is all very doable with some decent scouting.

Good Luck to them all

29 May 2013 10:26:40
Bristol city close to complete the signing of promising young striker Ryan Noble on free, while they are also in talks for Adam Rooney, Scott Flinders and Aden Flint.
Neil Kilkenny is close to completing a deal with Bournemouth, following Brett Pitman, for a fee ok 225k

Rooney, Flint, and Flinders are all being heavily linked.

I certainly believe City are trying on those guys.

29 May 2013 10:26:35
Middlesbrough to join the race for marlin pack

Marlon pack, hate this predictive typing

Won't be a race if boro want him they'll get him

Brighton arranging press conference for this evening regarding management.

Source: Leaked from BHA Press Office.

Poyet to Wigan?

The person who informed me that Dean Hammond would rejoin Brighton has now told me that Gus Poyet and Tony Bloom have settled their differences and Poyet will be continuing as Brighton manager. Poyet will be issuing an apology to all Brighton fans via tv radio Sussex. Glad the whole saga is now over

Why would it be a secret? They hoping no press show up?

Dutch lad from Manchester United, possible?

Albion Press conference this evening story is absolute b*******.

Theres no press conference

Don't think this is happening, it's 9pm now.

29 May 2013 09:33:13
Derby county are officially interested in Russell and he is now ahead of Vaughan in there wanted list with a 750k bid being made today.

£1M should get him even though he is worth a lot more!

29 May 2013 09:28:29

This is like fantasy football

29 May 2013 09:28:10
Hull admit they are in talks with Ahmed Elmohamady over a £2m switch from Sunderland, says the Hull Daily Mail.

The Egyptian spent time on loan at the KC Stadium last season and could join George Boyd in turning his loan spell into a permanent move after the winger secured a transfer from Peterborough yesterday.

Swindon Forward Collins will be joining Wolves for a fee in the region of 350k. This will be announced next week.

I think everyone will leave swindon
ferry, devera, Flint, coillins, thompson, L rooney, Navarro, Benson, caddis, Mcormack, Miller,
Fodders, next season they will consoldate in league one. its all do do with getting them of the wage bill back to basic for the club.
no more big signings how the board think they will get to the championship in three years??

Haha, If he will be leaving it will be closer to 1 million.

Get real a million ha ha no chance who makes up these prices???

What was the previous post saying Nathan thompsons was leaving? Sorry fella he has just signed a 2 year deal with his brother. Stop making rumours up.

29 May 2013 09:05:33
Dieumerci Mbokani as stated yesterday will be done by end of 1st week in July with Peter Odemwingie leaving for Hull

29 May 2013 09:05:03
Derby County's summer transfer targets are as follows.

CB - Matt Kilgallon or Kirk Broadfoot or Sean St Ledger or a 6 month loan from a prem club

LB - Craig Forsyth or Tommy Spurr

Young Attacking Mid/Winger - Harry Forrester or Jon Taylor

Experienced CM - Dean Whitehead or Stephen McPhail

Strikers - Johnny Russell or James Vaughan or Simeon Jackson or Matty Fryatt or Billy sharp

Clough is currently looking at have a 3 man midfield for next season so we have 3 strikers positions and Clough also wants to be able to rotate so our options upfront will be Sammon, Martin, Ward, one of the above mentioned and Jacobs. With Bennett, Ball, Thomas and Vernham all strikers for the U21 team.

If Clough manages to offload both Tyson and Robinson he is also looking at bring in Arturo Lupoli upfront too if he misses out on both Taylor and Forrester

Our front line rotation will look as follows.

Right ST - New Signing / Jacobs
Centre ST - Sammon / Martin
Left ST - Ward / (Lupoli/Taylor/Forrester)

29 May 2013 10:52:02
I like your list of strikers. OR can you not make your mind up. Talk about hedging your bets!

You might get lucky and get one of those on your list.

As nice as it would be clough won't go for lupoli

4-3-3 formation you are bang on.

However we are not signing an experienced CM now Bryson has signed a new contract.

If we Sign Russell he will play Right ST and cut in. If we get Vaughan he will be the focal point of the team and a central striker.

Taylor and Forrester maybe, also Adomah. Not Lupoli though.

At CB we won't get St Ledger, or Kilgallon. Just a loan.

Doesn't matter who derby buy each season. they always end up as mid table average joes. can't see that ever changing without a change to management

This mornings DET poured cold water over any rumours involving Whitehead and Forrester. Normally on the ball (pardon the pun) rumour wise.

Even had Johhny Russell picture on the front page. Mind you with Celtic interested, it could be a case of look what you could have won.

Over to you Mr Rush.

29 May 2013 09:03:23
Scott Sinclair to take necessary pay cut to stay in Premier League with West Bromwich Albion

What a waste of a year. Should go to Monaco

What and waste another year??

29 May 2013 09:02:37
Sako to Cardiff

Paper talk

Don't think Sako is that good {Ed003's Note - He's raw,has potential,must admit not sure he is ready for the Prem.}

29 May 2013 09:01:36
Real Madrid will be keeping a tight lid on allowing players to leave this summer with talks already circulating that Benzema and Higuain both leaving. This is untrue however, although with both players fighting it out between them, it is more than likely that one will head out the door

Higuain to arsenal. If Suarez goes to Madrid then Benzema will go to Liverpool

29 May 2013 08:57:25
Falcao to Monaco paves the way for Mario Gomez to join Atletico Madrid.

29 May 2013 08:56:39
Saw a rumour on here yesterday about seeing Shaun Maloney at the Hawthorns?

Funny you say that because apparently you weren't the only one who saw him. Why hasn't this been noted in the media? Big news this especially for West Brom, what a signing he would be

29 May 2013 12:25:35
He's definately held talks with West Brom

29 May 2013 08:47:45
Ex Barnsley loan man nile ranger could be target for reds after he was releaased by Newcastle on Monday

Released in March. surely you'd have got him earlier if you wanted him.

I hope not

No thanks - was far from a success when on loan here

Don, t want him anywhere near the club

He's got a big mouth but fails to deliver the goods also don't want the controversy that he would bring

Not a patch on what o'grady added to us up front last season.

Awful player

29 May 2013 08:42:40
Dose any one know any transfer targets for Barnsley

Keep hearing about Tim pope from port vale but their fan ain't having any of it

Tom Pope not Tim {Ed003's Note - it seems to be a new joke mate from the post the other day,don't worry about it.}

Its toms long lost cousin.

29 May 2013 08:28:54

Fleetwood Offer £50,000 For Southend Defender Ryan Cresswell

Cresswell Still Has One Year Left On His Contract

Me thinks they left a zero off after the 50. Havin a larff. Our Rhino is going nowhere. We luv him!

What difference does the fact he has a year left on his contract make?! they've bid, he's a northern boy, it could happen if they up there offer!

Fleetwood have increased their bid for Cresswell

29 May 2013 08:16:17
John ward is only looking to bring in 3 players this season he is going to to give a lot of faith in the youngsters. Ward has been in discussion with Bournemouth over matt tubbs it's believed a season long loan with a view to permenment deal has been agreed between the 2 clubs. it is all down to matt tubbs now.

John ward as in the bristle rovers manager or someone else?

Don't be silly nothing has been agreed, it's either permenant or nothing. I don't think Eddie will want him to go anyway.

29 May 2013 08:15:19
Huddersfield Town are ready to table a bid of £2.5m for Dundee Utd pair Johnny Russel and Gary Mackay-Steven.

Huddersfield had a bid turned down last summer and are determined to land thier men this time.

Sounds good hope its true

Anybody else bored of this story now?

29 May 2013 10:23:30
Huddersfield set to make a fresh bid for Jamie Patterson source huddersfield examiner

Would be 2 quality signings!

29 May 2013 13:12:06
thought mackay-steven was injured long term.

No doubting they are good players but can't see GMS being signed if we land Paterson from Walsall, my view is these are possibles in case Vaughan and Paterson don't complete their moves to the Terriers. Danny Haynes likely to be a strike partner for whoever we sign first.

Looks like they could face strong competition from both Derby and Leicester. Derby definitely interested in Russell, Leicester apparently looking to sign both.

New manager new ideas. move on. very unlikely we would follow up a previous managers leads, most unlikely that this is true imo.

29 May 2013 08:36:38
Burnley in advanced talks with strikers sam baldock and bradford striker nakhi wells as it looks increasingly likely top scorer charlie austin will move on in the close season

29 May 2013 07:44:34
After seeing rumours on here regarding jamie cureton and a move to walsall I researched this, and it is true. Walsall are interested in the striker. Its in the express and echo newspaper.

The express & echo only got the rumour from this website

29 May 2013 05:52:49
Carlisle set to sighn james brown no not the singer

I bet he feels good, like a young man should.

29 May 2013 05:35:22
Iain Hume is over in Canada having talks with two unnamed Canadian clubs. Reports that a two year deal is most likely with Hume hoping to finally return to Tranmere later in his career.

He's in Canada visiting family

29 May 2013 10:45:13
tranmere would have to sell there full team to afford hume not a chance he will return

He's only there on holiday according to him

29 May 2013 13:14:45
He might come back one day if he was available free/cheap. He loves the club and still attends games when he can.

Why would we have to sell our full team how much do you think he`s worth? my guess is 35k max

He WILL NOT return this summer. But he will play his final season at tranmere without doubt.

29 May 2013 02:52:19
Why are people assuming that we will only make one big name signing? The owners have backed Cortese to aim higher and higher and to do that Cortese needs to spend big and not just on one player, on a few. Wanyama, Adrian, Adryan, Muniain, Sinclair, Granero, Ruiz, Nainggolan and Sane are all possible targets for the club.

29 May 2013 02:25:39
Billy Davies wants his former centre back Wes Morgan back at the city ground. However it may come at some cost after Morgan won Leicesters player of the season award and is very highly thought of at the KP.

Total non starter for me. NEXT.

29 May 2013 09:55:59
wouldnt want him back, PERSONALLY

29 May 2013 13:11:28
He won't be leaving Leicester.

29 May 2013 01:37:51
Walsall
Adam Chambers, James Chambers, Craig Westcarr and Ben Purkiss have agreed there contract offers
Will Grigg and Febian Brandy have agreed their contract offers both with release clauses as part of the deal for them to remain at the Banks's stadium
Dean Holden has turned down his contract offer and is in talks with Mansfield and Accrington, Jamie Paterson is to leave aswell to either Huddersfield or Burnley

Players linked with walsall
strikers Jamie Cureton (Exeter) and Filip Orsula (Wigan)
Defender Johan Hammar (Everton)
goalkeeper Cameron Belford (Bury)
Left midfielder Gerardo Bruna (Blackpool)

So is that good or bad for Wallsall

Jamie will be going to Hudds, fits the bill for all concerned for a very decent fee!

29 May 2013 13:59:21
jamie paterson can`t go noooo

Good luck with Gerardo Bruna he is un fit lazy and refuses to be a team player.

Sadly he believed his own hype and fell flat on his face at Blackpool

29 May 2013 01:14:18
A move back to White Hart Lane could be on the cards for former Spurs midfielder Luka Modric. The Real Madrid star doesn't feel he is getting the playing team he deserves. The deal could cost around £20m failing that a loan deal could be negotiated.

29 May 2013 00:41:13
Crystal Palace to sign S Sinclair and T Ince. These will be the only cash buys with the remaining Ins being free transfers.

Will be looking at a high price for Ince after him signing a new deal even if they are to sign him

Not a hope in hell. Lower your ambitions.

IF we were to buy Ince we couldn't afford Sinclair aswell. Maybe we could get Sinclair on loan? Wages will be a problem though.

walsall players febian brandy and will grigg to both sign 2 year deals believed to be on double the wages they had last year with option to leave if a fee is agreed in january believed to be around 750 k each,

Patterson to sign a 2 year deal with a release clause of 1. 75 million.

They want sam johnstone on a season long loan from united.

The ground could be extended due to large away support from certain teams this would allow more flexible arrangements.

This sounds like very wishful thinking in terms of Grigg and Pato, rather than any truth in it at the moment.

Paulo Sousa on the radar for Brighton as club search for Poyet replacement. Paulo has manger Swansea city, QPR and Leicester city.

Good choice he can sign Spanish players

29 May 2013 11:27:59
he was no good at leicester

Trust me you don't want Paulo Sousa as a manager. (Swansea Fan)

He didn't do to well with us (Swans) but he should be credited with helping tidy our defensive play up. Got to at least hand him that!

Massive mistake Sousa has a huge ego. s a Qpr fan i'd advise Brighton to steer well clear of him.

And the only Spanish player he signed was a dud

Isn't he Portuguese?

He's portuguese, yes he did sort out the swans defence

Former Bristol rovers and Bristol city defender currently at Exeter city Danny Coles is expected to make a return to the memorial stadium this week with a fee in the region of £75K. The defender said in an interview he would love to finish his career back at the memorial stadium.

Absolute tripe. Would not get a look in with the defensive unit we have

We've got steve elliott he's brilliant!

Were tryna get elliott, coles hasn't got a chance in hell

Um. the Steve elliott that plays for Cheltenham? don't think so

The fact that Coles offered to fight the Rovers fans when he last played for the club would suggest that he wouldn't be welcomed back anytime soon.
