Italian press stating that Lippi is a late contender for the Liverpool job. God knows what is going on at Anfield. I haven't anything official that Hodgson is the boss yet as someone else previously posted.

PANATHINAIKOS are claiming Manchester United have made a sizable bid for their young starlet SOTIRIS NINIS, the 20 year old has attracted interest from Arsenal, Real Madrid and Roma, he has a clause in his contract that says Panathinaikos will have to accept 10m euros which could rise to 17m euros! (7–12m)

A bargain in my opinion, he is a winger/central attacking midfielder, best hurry and seal the deal before City send their officials to Greece. Ed is this the kind of signing you expected from Fergie? Young, Attacking midfielder and cheap? {editor's note – would be exactly what I would expect – he seems a perfect fit. Can play left, right or central, quick and young enough to develop for the future. I hope you don't get him! ;o)}

Any Motherwell rumours Daviebhoy or Ed? I'll even take some far fetched ones!!
Grampa Brown says he's after a striker and a goalie, any hints?

MFC {editor's note – I honestly don't have anything about Motherwell right now. I will see if I can find anything out, I am sure there must be something I can dig up about them.}

PETER REID'S GREEN AND WHITE ARMY

Ins:
R.Patterson – 40k – Glentoran
G.Whealan – Free – Stoke City
S.Jackson – 600k – Gillingham
D.Stockdale – Free – Fulham

Outs:
D.Johnson – 500k – Scthorpe
J.Mason – 1mill – Hull City
B.Wright–Phillips – 200k – Millwall

Glen Whelan for free!?!? He is an Irish international and a big part of Tony Pulis's plans. Im an Argyle fan and as much i would like to believe this , the odds are next to none. Joe Mason for 1 mill ? From what i have seen of him , he could be a big big player in the future and i am not sure wheter Peter Reid would be willing to let him go for such a sum.

Now on to some players who could be on there way to Home Park :

Rory Patterson – Glentoran (40k)
Andrew Davies – Stoke (Season long loan)
Bondz N'Gala– West Ham (Free)
Simeon Jackson– Gillingham (750k)

Players on the way out :

Marcel Seip– Everyone (Dunno a price)
Yannick Bolasie – Leeds , QPR (Free)

Players like Steve Maclean , Alan Gow , Simon Walton etc will be given a second chance by the new manager. Expect some youngsters to go out on loan to some league two and conference sides.

29 Jun 2010 22:23:31
Editor do you know what is happening with Milan janokovic ( spelling) and who he is signing for. {editor's note – he is waiting for the new manager to tell him if he is wanted at Liverpool or not. That was the last thing I was told, but I doubt there will be any change to that situation to be honest.}

Got a mate who does some coaching for a large Premier League club. Not with the pro's but he does know some ex–pro's.
He texted me before to say he'd been told by a reliable source that Shrek had been caught with a lady of the night and that is why he was so awful during the world cup. The paparazzi agreed to hold back on it for awhile but to expect the story to break in a few days.
Me myself, I'm sceptical, another of the Gerrard getting some bird up the duff type of stuff but these footballers do get up to all sorts of stuff so its now beyond the realms of probablity. {editor's note – I doubt it very much, he was not fully fit and playing in a system that didn't suit him. No need to look for a conspiracy theory to explain his poor performance.}

SOME UPDATE FROM SOURCE!!

I've been given some insight regarding the future employment of key personnel at Liverpool Football club and why the situation appears to be in a state of flux, despite a clear direction actually having been resolved a few weeks ago. Please absorb the following and use your brains to digest the following, calculate its merits and don't let any existing passionate bias for OR against Liverpool dictate your reaction – instead just think about it with a clear head
1. 8 members of the background team staff have been released to work elsewhere and replacements have been interviewed with offers pending.
2. A radical change in policy for youth team structure and development is being resolved currently with an exchange system being negotiated with a specific overseas country (haven't been told which one).
3. The ownership of the club has been resolved in terms of an offer that HAS been accepted on behalf of the existing shareholders, the deal has yet to be formally concluded in terms of exchange of money for stock – so no announcement will be publicly made until the deal is officially sealed and maximum positive publicity can be achieved.
4. Tom Hicks had been trying to influence the buyer to work with him in future projects in the buyer's native homeland and surrounding countries – totally unrelated field to that of football but he has been trying to use Liverpool as a bargaining chip to get himself into the alternative commercial environment in an alternative niche.
5. Tom Hicks holds no existing interest in building the new stadium for LFC – any suggestion otherwise is purely speculative. The original design is to be redrawn by the new bidder and a resubmission to the Council will be made by March 2011. No additional onsite work will become effective until then.
6. The manager identified by the new owner is one that some of the KEY 1st team personnel already know – non–disclosure clauses have been distributed to all personnel that know his identity and they all have been contacted to explain the sensitivity of the situation and will not be drawn on commenting in the press, to family members or members of the public!
7. The manager elect has carefully deflected attention from his position and it will NOT be Kenny Dalglish or Roy Hodgson. The debate is a convenient public distraction being played out to divert attention from the identity of the soon to be new owner and his chosen number one.
8. The club is gearing up for an announcement in July and not before and will not do so until the World Cup is concluded. It is imperative to both the commercial value of the announcement and in particular the selected manager – that the team he is currently involved with is not distracted by press questions or club business. Success in the World Cup under this manager will greatly increase the attraction of new players to LFC and significantly increase the commercial revenue stream. Carefully engineered distractions are already in place to handle identities of both buyer and manager until mid July.
9. At least 16 first team members are certain to be leaving. All player sales NET income generated will be made available to the new team along with an initial cash injection (advance allocation of commercial revenue) to build a squad now for the next 4–5 years under the new manager.
10. The 1st team will be permanently reduced from their present numbers to allow an increase in wage levels for the main squad, allowing a competitive level of salary for high gross revenue earning players to be maintained at a sustainable level. This will assist in attracting foreign players to the UK , despite the higher tax band and wages offered elsewhere, without dramatically increasing the outgoings of the club.
It has to be stressed that all of the negotiations to purchase the club and the appointment of the target manager has been done through representatives of all parties and you will NOT have seen or will see LFC board members at a hotel/bank/airport/stadia etc with identifiable individuals!! It is too sensitive a time; the process has not been and will continue NOT to be played out in any public areas.
Please note that only the select few within the club know the intimate details of the owners elect and the manager elect – this does NOT include ground staff, reserve team, youth team players or most of the first team. They have NOT been informed of any of the developments other than all will be announced mid July.

So. to summarise:
Significant non–player staff changes – Yes
New owners agreed – Yes
New Owners installed – Less than 40 days away.
New Manager Identified – Yes
New Manager installed – Only after the World Cup – actively engaged
Cash for transfers – Yes
Amount for transfers – I don't know – no point in guessing!!
Sustainable Business Model Identified – Yes
Stadium plans – To be revised and resubmitted to council next year.
Players informed – Select few only!
Media informed – OBVIOUSLY NOT UNTIL MID JULY!

Roy Hodgson is on the verge of resigning from his position as manager of Fulham F.C. It is believed talks had broken down with Liverpool over a compensation fee. Liverpool are thought to be willing offer some young fringe players in order to sweeten the deal , rather than paying the 2.5 million in compensation to take Roy to Anfield. However , Talks broke down over that deal and Hodgson is becoming frustrated at wheter he will get the chance to manage Liverpool. If he resigns , Mr Al–Fayed will have a difficult task in keeping Roy at Craven Cottage for the time being.The deal could be completed as early as tomorrow if Roy gets his way and resigns from his position , but will need the go–ahead for Mr Al–Fayed. Brede Hangeland is the only player that Roy would be interested in taking with him to Anfield. InTheKnow

RE another Jealous Ghuy (hope elton john is gettin royalties for all you)

29 Jun 2010 19:14:30
Haha must say lets all laugh at celtic

charlie mulgrew – let him go becoz he wasnt good enough, so has he miraclous became a class left back for the might celtic ? the other best offer he had was a championship team that now struggle to get in the top half of the table.

sol campbell– 37 and slow and yes rangers have weir but who is next to him bougy natural pace can cover and mop up for his fk up's who is covering for sol mcmanus? wasnt good enough to be in a bad celtic team + no pace, hooiveld is he a myth btw played 2 games or sumhen and got raped up at the dons class.

jimmy bullard – good player nice passer , but tell me how many games will he play ? research that one celtic fans the most a team can get out of him in a season is a dozen games!

notice how the robbie keanes and bellamys have vanished out the papers maybe it could be down to realism yous are as skint as us use hide it better use are after free agents !

here we go for 3 in a row ;d boy

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Ok where do we start, Sol 37, What in dog years, he's 35 (what age is davie weir?)

Mulgrew (even tho i don;t think he will sign) Celtic let him go because he wasn't good enough and then possibly resigning him? Can anyone spell KENNY MILLER?? pot kettle black spring to mind there!

Bullard had a bad injury or 3 yeah, that's y if he starts talks will go thru a stringent medical, a la Steven reid who failed his yet signed for WBA

As for Keane and BEllamy, all Lenny said is he would like players of that calibre, and would love to have them, but it's down to THEIR clubs, and the players!!

Does anyonje else notice how these so called rangers fans only come out and rant when celtic are in the headlines?? Jealousy really is an ugly trait. Can't wait till the Subscription section really takes off, looking forward to having banter and transfer talk with "FANS" who know what they are talkin about,

Also to the guy that said Rangers won;t bring anyone in unless they sell, I disagree with you mate, They will have at least 4 players in before start of season. 2 are very close to being finalised just now, a defender, and an att/mid, as i said in my earlier post, when I post stuff, it tends not (well recently) to actually happen for a couple of weeks or so, so i'll stand by what i say with regards to Rangers, at least 4 players, expect Conway to open up talks soon, and possibly a korean/japanese player (dont have a name for that one, that was all i heard), and a possible bid/loan deal for T. Smith – the Kiwi, not the pompey one

–Barcelona have narrowed their search for a left sided attacker down to either Juan Manuel Mata or Robinho. Mata is first choice although Robinho may be slightly cheaper than him. Roberto Mancini has been pondering offering Robinho plus money for Ibrahimovic but only if Barca miss out on Mata. Mezut Ozil is not a target for Barcelona.

–If Joe Cole does decide to go to Tottenham, Man Utd may try to sign Luka Modric for around £25m. United do have the funds set aside for one big name signing this summer. Mezut Ozil has been noted as another potential target for United or as an alternative to Modric.

–Liverpool's Albert Riera is on Benfica's wanted list after Angel di Maria's move to Real Madrid this week. When Hodgson is confirmed as Liverpool manager on Thursday, Benfica will launch a €9m bid to land him on Friday.

–Roy Hodgson's first signing as Liverpool manager, apart from Milan Jovanovic of course, could be Brede Hangeland. Hodgson is apparently not keen on Daniel Agger, mainly due to injuries and because he is a target for Juventus if Chiellini departs.

–David Silva will move to Man City for £29m after the World Cup only if Chelsea's £25m bid is rejected. Silva has told Valencia he would prefer a move to Chelsea but understands that Los Che will only accept the highest offer for him.

29 Jun 2010 22:12:44
Ed, any news on who the next manager of Liverpool will be? Roy Hodgson appears to have got it but Manuel Pellegrini and Frank Rijkaard have been linked recently and I need clarification. However, what I do know is that Kenny Dalglish will stay at the club regardless of who the next manager will be. {editor's note – it does look to be Hodgson, though it is hard to tell because Liverpool have a serious lockdown on anything coming out of the club right now. The leaks are from the Fulham end so I have no way of knowing if they are definite or not but it really does seem to be right. Sky will be gutted if it is Hodgson, they forwarded every other candidate in the hope of being seen as a better source of info than everyone else, who were all saying Hodgson.}

29 Jun 2010 22:17:16
ED or BAVIEBHOY do yous have any info in transfers in or out of dundee united please. {editor's note – nothing right now from me mate sorry.}

29 Jun 2010 22:17:18
To the deluded spurs fan who posted this.

Kjaer will go to tottenham. i was surprised last night about the double bid which has been rubbished by tottenham since. cavani has been very average in the world cup and it didn't make sense that we would be interested in him. spurs will get either dzeko or huntelaar and either suarez, forlan or benzema. also expect to see richards at spurs. i reckon j.cole will go to man ciy but maybe tottenham but can't see where he would play unless he goes on the left mdfield and bale as leftbk but would like bale to stay in midfield. cole has said he wants to play center mdfield there no way he would take modrics place. i just dnt think daniel levy would go for him espcialy as he is being incredibly greedy with wages! scwheinstiger will def go to chelsea. man utd won't get anyone!lol. who cares who arsenal get, probably a few kids!

HAHAHAHAHAHA, because you've qualified for the champions league for the first time does NOT make you a big club, why the hell would players like Dzeko, Suazo and Forlan who have the cream of Europe chasing him want to join a backwater club like Spurs? Please get real.

As for the Richards to Arsenal rumour it's not going to happen so please stop regurgating the same nonsense.

A new(ish) rumour is Piotr Trochowski to Arsenal, don't know about another midfielder but there you go.

29 Jun 2010 22:18:17
Leeds will confirm double free signings Llyod Sam and Darrel Russel tomorrow. Then Thursday they'll sign a money signing.

Rumours circulating around Sheffield that scottish club Hearts of Midlothian have offered Darren Barr (Defender) to both Wednesday and United. Apparently some severe financial difficulty their owner has with his offshore companies are hitting the club hard and they are trying to offload all senior playing staff. Source – Sheffield based agent who works with Wednesday in securing players.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Just with regards to this one, I doubt that they will be getting rid of him, as he hasn't played a game for them yet, he signed a pre contract in Jan, and only officially became a Hearts player on june 8th or 9th (cant remember the exact date) so he didn;t cost them anything, and was brought in on a lower wage than several non playing first team players.
Also I THINK, not 100%, but there is a rule that states he can;t be sold within a certain amount of time from signing as a free agent, it's more complicated than my explanation, but basically he can;t be sold witin x amount of months of signing.

Maybe it's other players, cause the hearts owner is a bit of a dodgy character, the are in debt, but he owns the bank they owe the money to so they should be alright, however the bank is at the centre of a money laundering probe, so who knows lol

Also i do not understand how man city hope to meet uefa ruling with their idiotic wage structure. {editor's note – I don't understand that either, they can't possibly have the income to allow them to pay the players, can they?}

Yes they can, what's to stop the owners registering an oil well or three under the Mancity banner.
There's city taxis in manchester, there's a casino on the way, shopping centre, hotel, all under the city banner, I should imagine it will be quite easy for them.
Mark my words, they will rule the world, it will take 5–10 years, but they will be able to outbid Madrid with ease before that time is up.
As long as the wells don't dry up of course..;–>

Ridgebackred.. {editor's note – I never knew they could do all those things under the City banner. So the new ruling is another complete and utter waste of time that will only hold back the smaller clubs that can't afford to do anything like that.}

Latest news from Anfield

I am a season ticket holder at Liverpool and talk around Anfield is that a takeover of Liverpool has been completed. It is unknown whether Liverpool will have one sole owner or another co–ownership or even a full consortium, but all I know are the following details;

1. The fee the club has been bought for is £570million.

2. Liverpool will be owned by someone/people from the Middle East, highly likely to be Dubai.

3. The delay in appointing a new manager is for the new ownership to decide on who to take managerial position.

4. Announcement of takeover to be on JULY 7th.

I know I will be ridiculed by most people on this website but for those who will mock, let me just say that you'll all be eating your words on July 7th. I have heard this from senior members of fan groups and the talk is extremely strong.

2 keepers Arsenal may go for are the Portuguese or Slovenian number 1's. Both have have had great world cups. Other than that, 2 new centre half's in to replace the oldies

Chelsea realistically only need to get rid of Carvalho and replace him with Mertsacker probably

Man U should only need a forward–cum winger, so it looks though Sanchis fits the bill, with one eye on a new keeper as well

Liverpool will take stock of thier current squad with the new manager, so, don't expect too many ins or outs in the summer, January may be a different story. A leftback or centre Half, (if the manager can persuade Agger to cover LB)

Man City will have a summer clear–out, making some interesting bargains for mid–table teams, such as Zabeletta, Garrido, SWP, Bridge, Ireland and the some of what seems like the 200 strikers they currently have on thier books

Villa may struggle this season, they need to replace Carew and Heskey with a bit better calibre of forward as well as freshen up the squad, it just is starting to look quite stagnent

Spurs need 3 class acts, (not neccessarliy loads of money, the likes of Stankovic could be a great addition

Everton are my handicap bet this season to win the league, they have nearly everything in a great manager, good players, just need the squad bulking up a bit. Baxter to make a real impact as sub in a lot of games this season

Heard from a guy who shall remain nameless but is involved with one of the clubs key sponsors that Cardiff's David Marshall shall be returning to Norwich on a free transfer following Fraser Forster's return to Newcastle as Cardiff are so skint they can't afford the balance of the transfer fee and marshall is assured of the number one spot.

To whoever wrote Wilshere–Chelsea, are you completely mad? A, why would arsenal sell one of their best future players to Chelsea, and B, why would he leave? Nearing the first team at Arsenal, most likely future captain and leader of Arsenal and probobly England. Its like saying inter will sign Alex Pato.

Arsenal Outs:
Senderos–Fulham(done)
Silvestre–Bordeux
Campbell–Celtic
Gallas–Juventus
Rosicky–German club

Arsenal ins:
Chamakh(done)
Kocienly
Phillipe Mexes
Mark Schwarzer
Joe Cole

No Gourcuff, Ozil or Balotelli. Wenger just won't sign players which are on the radars of other big clubs.

Fabregas will stay for at least 1 more year, letting ramsey and wilshere develop to replace him.

Arsenal XI for 2010/11

Schwarzer
Sagna Mexes Vermaelen Clichy
Song
Nasri Fabregas
V.Persie Arshavin
Chamakh

A team capable of winning anything.
Next season is when boys shall become men fellow Gooners.

Swindon town are in advanced talks with released westbrom winger Filipe Teixeira.to sign with them.

29 Jun 2010 21:24:48
Forest haven't signed any players yet, contary to various rumours on the net about waiting for season tickets to on on sale etc. A fee and terms have been agreed with Shorey but his agent is holding out for premiership interest Forest have learnt from their mistakes and have given him a deadline to sign the deal. Rindaroy is looking the most likely player to sign at the moment, talks are ongoing with his representatives, not sure on what the fee will be. The Earnshaw to Cardiff rumour is garbage just Cardiff fans getting there hopes up. The Pratley deal is dead at the moment with Swansea refusing to budge on the 3m asking price. Not heard anything concerate about Whittingham. We are definately interested in Dorman and Forest are extremely confident of him signing. Billy has been a fan for a while and Keith Burt has watched him numerous times. Another player were interested in is Youl Mawene (Billy loves him) but Mawene wants regular 1st team football.

29 Jun 2010 21:27:49
Ed, what do you make of this jack wilshire to chelsea?
to be honest i think its a load of bllocks {editor's note – I think I posted my opinion earlier but I have been so busy I might just have thought it to myself and assumed I posted it so apologies if I am repeating myself. I just don't think it makes any sense from Arsenal's point of view to sell him, Arsene has high hopes of Wilshere, he is one of his brightest stars.}

29 Jun 2010 21:31:40
PLYMOUTH FANS PETER REID on youtube is brilliant we finally have a strong character in charge of the club, things are looking promising, hes a real man with presence and charisma, lets get behind him 100% after years of sub standard football. Reids first signings Ryan Harley Exeter, Albert adomah Barnet, Liam Rosenior, Kevin phillips, Reid has ambition it will be interesting to say the least. Relegation might be a blessing in disguise.

Ive said it before, i, ll say it AGAIN, wake up to the real world fellow blue noses, we haven, t a pot to p –ss in. Yet another cheap buy( under a mil for yet another kid ). Unless ARTETA( god forbid ), PIEANNAR(please no ) and YAKUBU(not good enough ) go, there won't be any money for any of the names youre all mentioning. Surely you all know by now, its EFC " and if ya know yer history " , the rumours help sell season tickets every seaon. Just think about all those players coming to the blues each summer, please just think. I, , ll name them if you want, its just such a ridiculous list. WAKE UUUUUP!!!!

Whoever wrote this:

''I have been fed some rather interesting news regarding the ongoing LFC takeover saga. I am usually quite sceptical about such whispers but the source in very crediable and the story does seem to fit in with the current state of play and hold a fair amount of water.

There are currently two parties in negotiations, one of which pulled out of talks a couple of weeks ago after failing to agree a sale price. The other offer has been on the table for some time but was initially considered too low and negotiations never got off the ground. It seems that the recent lowering of the asking price by the owners has prompted these parties back into talks. Both these groups think that a deal can now be agreed and are keen to complete the purchase.

I have been told that the offers are very different and the board are weighing up the pros and cons of each and will make a decision very soon. While one party is offering significantly more for the intial purchase, they are unwilling to commit significant amounts of spending on future investment to the infrastructure of the club, i.e the squad and stadium.

The other offer is lower but they are commited to re–building the squad and constructing a new stadium in the near future.

Both of these parties would clear the clubs debt after taking over.

In addition one group (with the higher inital offer) have no preference who they would like as club manager and are happy to go along with Purslows recommendations. The other party however have already sounded out their preferred coach and would make a move for him once the purchase has been concluded.

No figures, names parties, or other finer detail was mentioned by this source. But this, I've been informed, is the basic outline of what is happening behind the scenes.

One would have to suggest that the current owners would like to accept the higher offer and take the money and move on, while the other senior club figures who will remain employed, would like to go with the other offer which would allow then to invest in the clubs infrastructure, and to a certain extend appease the fans.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what the consensus is on this.''

CAN YOU CONFIRM WHO YOUR SOURCE IS? I WAS ALSO TOLD MOST OF THE ABOVE (APART FROM THE MANAGER BIT) LAST NIGHT. I DEFO THINK SOMETHING IS HAPPENING. MY SOURCE HAS TO BE THE SAME AS YOURS AND YES THEY ARE HIGH PROFILE WITHIN THE CLUB.

ROY

Again, this fits in with the story I got from a former captain and player ( both ex–England Internationals) who I collected from the Liverpool Int tennis tournament last week – they were very confident the new owners would be American – if its true, I just hope this time we get conciencious and trustworthy owners who aren't hre to make a fast buck , but who will realise the history of the cluband its place in the daily lfe of this city. Hope Hodgson is a smokescreen – too old for me – give me Kenny, Pellegrini, or Riikjard any day!

Ozil didn't actually sign for Werder Bremen until 2006 and he still would have only been 16/17. Seems unlikely Fergie even knew about him then so I highly doubt he is keen to get him this time round because he "missed out"! Added to which United will spend very little this summer means you are talking nonsense! Thanks though!

Re: "3 week rule"

Sorry if I've missed a few posts on it, not sure I can see all of the last 2 hours or so, but as well as being convinced that there is no FIFA ruling on this (although as sad as I am I've not read everything and certainly don't remember it all either) didn't old squeaky bum/red nose reference a something similar recently, although I remember that as he was going to give his world cup players a 3 week break out of his own largesse rather than any requirement.

Liverpool will not be sold til 2012 at the earliest.Hicks is in trouble with creditors in the US and any assets he has are likely to be siezed so he is in no hurry to make moneyfor someone else. In the meantime he an g are looking to sell 100m worth of talent it doesn't matter who to ensure the interest payments are meet.Hodgson will come in purely as he has experiance of managing on a shoestring.

All these rumours of being sold are just that .false hope the truth hurts but get used to it!!

From the same source that stated Billy Sharp did not want to sign for Burnley, Sean O'Driscoll will not be signing for Leicester, if Hodgson goes to Liverpool and Fulham make an approach then he would be allowed to speak to them but it is unlikely. Sean does not want to manage any other Championship Club but Doncaster.

I've heard from a reliable souce that these transfers are in advanced stages and should go through within the next few days:

Joe Cole – Spurs
Yaya Toure – Man City
David Bentley – Birmingham
Robert Green – Arsenal
Scott Parker – Stoke
Cameron Jerome – Blackpool
Jack Wilshere – Chelsea
Kevin Nolan – Bolton
Dave Kitson – Bristol City (swap involving Nicky Maynard)
Joe Ledley – Stoke
John Carew – Sunderland
Peter Whittingham – Wolves

Also, Roy Hodgson should be appointed Liverpool manager tomorrow and will sign Bobby Zamora and Danny Murphy as player – coach

are you for real why would Arsenal sell chelsea one of their biggest talents, Jack wilshere knowing they are one of their main rivals come on

29 Jun 2010 20:33:06
Man u are only going to sign 1 more player as fergie sed himself could be 1 of sanchez (most likely), ozil, fabiano or dzeko

chelsea are only looking for a ST most likely aguero and a LB as cover for Cole, torres would never move to another prem club

arsenal– wenger is looking at CB as key: koscielny(almost done deal), richards(is an arsenal fan n wenger tried to buy him b4), cahill(if bolton reduce their value)
–if fabregas leaves(if wenger gets the money he wants) then gourcuff and another att mid will be signed: probs 1 of Ozil or Hazard btw wenger had scouts watchin Ozil during the bundesleaga
GK–schwarzer seems the most likely, sorenson is another possibility as wenger has bid for him before

According to Day and Night on WACCOE, Kamara will sign for Leeds United on Thursday. If this isn't true then Day and Night will be banned from Waccoe forever. so are you telling the truth.M, O, T
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Just thought i'd throw my tuppence in to this one, Kamara was told by Lennon htat he had a future at the club, and Kamara publicly stated that he wants to stay @ Parkhead, but then PSG (alledgedly) approached him with an offer, and he pretty much said thanks but no thanks to Lenny and that playing in France for PSG was his dream and what he really wants to do, so Lenny kindly sent him back on his way to Craven Cottage, haven't heard or read anything concrete since the end of may, but last I did hear was that he was being touted all over ligue 1 , IMO I couldn't see him going to Leeds, I'm not sure what your finances are like, but he's on upwards of 19k at CC, so he's not gonna take a cut AND step down a league, tbh he seems like a go where the doh is, one minute loves Celtic then wants to run off to PSG, and tbh he wasn't even that crash hot in the SPL

The only thing I have heard of, that I can think of anyway, was Bruce looking at a striker. Only reason I know that is because Djibril Cisse was one of those checked out, which isn't the first time Steve Bruce has been interested in him. I would guess that would mean the end of Kenwyne Jones?}

I can guarantee the following:
100% Rooney will Stay at Man UTD,
Also 100% Torres will Stay at Liverpool
I know that Real Madrid have a deal in Place for one of the 2 Gerrard or Lampard. (i will not say which.)

Ozil is not going to Man U, Liverpool, or Chelsea.

I know for a fact that Cavani, will go to Spurs, Kjaer is a maybe, as he would rather go to Arsenal.

1 guarantee is 1 mega signing will occur. i cannot say who but over 50 mil euros to a Prem club.

Liverpool have not been sold, there are 3 bids, all short of what the yanks want. Highest is 590 Mil and Yanks want 650 MIL.

Official News from Liverpool..

Roy Hodgson has now been appointed as the new Liverpool Manager

29 Jun 2010 20:11:32
Ed – any ideas as to why Sky aren't reporting the Hodgson to Liverpool story, the BBC are reporting it as pretty much a done deal ??
redAL {editor's note – because it is not definitely done and Sky are waiting to report it when it is definitely done or crow about how the BBC got it wrong if it doesn't happen.}

which suggests it's not as much of a done deal as some people are making out ??
redAL {editor's note – nothing is ever a done deal until the contracts are signed and ratified by the FA. I have seen so many definites fall through at the last second to never be completely sure about any move any more.}
They just have, he will sign by the end of the week.

Everton making last gasp efforts to hang onto Arteta, confidence is high that Pienaar will sign a new contract with Baines.

Hopefully Moyes will presuade Arteta to stay. If he goes on pre season to Oz friday im led to believe he'll stay. As for stephen ireland, looking for Moutinho to come into the midfield with Ben Arfa. Might be priced out of deal for Moutinho.

Walter smith has been quietly sounding out numerous players, his biggest problems however is trying to get rid of some players without looking to be seen to actively trying to punt them, 1st is bougherra, this a purely down to his lack of discpline and the effect he has on team morale.
2nd wilson, walter feels let down by him and will sell.
3rd would encourage offers for edu as he would like to replace him with MCarthur as he feels McCulloch and Thomson both do same job as edu,
walter has asked about Concalves though wages are to high at moment, though he lower them.
He also likes Goodwillie and Kenneth, though poor relations at board room level will scupper this.
A surpise approach also made regrarding Kingston on a free.
without the sale of any of the 3 players mentioned no signings of note will be made.
no offer will be made for McGregor untill clubs in portugal see how he reovers from injury

Put your House on Steve coppells bristol city being promoted to the premier league next season
steve coppell wants to bring in some of his reading team that played in the prem a few years ago his main targets are Dave kitson and Leroy lita, Nicky Shorey
He Wants to Sign Scott loach for £2.5m From Watford And bring in two players on loan from premier league clubs and also from other championship clubs he has been given money to spend though by his chairman From What I Heard Its about £5m

Coppell has publicly stated that he won't be signing any Reading players and that it's inevitable some will be linked to him. Dave Kitson is out of reach, Lita isn't welcom in Bristol for well known reasons and Shorey aint going anywhere. As to 5m – no amount is ever mentioned by the chairman to the manager, he just stumps up whatevers needed when asked – as long as it doesn't bankrupt the club.

Arsenal will shock the league with two major Bundesliga signings.imminent! A very reliable inside source has passed this on to me. The cash is being splashed!

This is for editor. The lads how sent the messages about forest last night was that 3 lads or just 1 haven fun. {editor's note – I can't be entirely sure as it was different IP addresses etc, but I would lean towards it being one or more people hoaxing it. They all seemed to use similar speech patterns and the spelling mistakes were the same in each one. Plus, I can't find anybody to back up the story at all.}

29 Jun 2010 18:48:32
Editor any news on any big signings at arsenal {editor's note – nothing big, sorry, but then that isn't really Wenger's style. A keeper is the priority though, as evidenced by the bids for Reina and Schwarzer. I believe he has given up on those two though, but it might be just a wait–and–see who Fulham's new manager is before making another bid moment. I did get told Arsene has moved on to a keeper in the French league, not sure who though I was told it is definitely not Lloris as he is seen as far too expensive.}

To whoever said this:

Papers are reporting that liverpool will be missing most of there first team for are europa league match on july 23rd
rules say all players must have a 3 week break from the time they are knocked out of world cup this means mascharano/rodriguez and kuyt will all miss game as will torres and reina if as expected spain win tonight add to that the fact gerrard/johnson and carragher will only have returned to training the week befor could be a tricky time for new manager {editor's note – what rules say that? Can you link me to them please?}

Possibly the most ludicrous thing ive ever heard haha There is no such rule. {editor's note – that is what I thought too, hence why I asked for a link.}

it's mentioned on the Liverpool echo website
redAL {editor's note – what the rule is? Because I can't find anything in UEFA/FIFA or FA laws about a 3 week break following the World Cup. Has anyone else been able to find it?}

Liverpool Echo – All players who have been involved in the World Cup are given a mandatory three–week break from the moment their countries are eliminated.

i don't think it is a rule

Chris {editor's note – cheers for that, though mandatory suggests there is some kind of rule. The laws of the game are just such boring reading it is hard work sifting through them to find anything!}

Just seen this on Sean O'Driscoll's wiki page, probably a load of bollocks, but you never know:

"O'Driscoll has recently been linked with the now vacant Leicester City job. Foxes owner Milan Mandaric is looking for someone to continue the success of last season and believes that O'Driscoll's attractive style of football and eye for a player make him the ideal candidate. An approach has been made, with Rovers asking for £1,000,000 in compensation – a fee which Mandaric is willing to pay to get his man."

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
How ye goin mate there's been a rumour goin about Scotland for a week an' a bit now that Billy Reid is being lined up for the Leicester job, and It's also in todays Daily Record (unquoted), although i'd rather listen to the rumours, than believe anything the record prints unless it is quoted, and not been manipulated!
And another thing that MIGHT fuel it is apparently that is why James McArthur has been holding off on commiting himself, as if Reid heads down south he might like to follow him. Sorry I have nothing substantial to back it up, atm they are just rumours goin around scotland but with no actual facts to back them up, just thought i'd pass it on incase your a foxes man, cause if you are and you get Reid and McArthur that would be a good star for your pre–season

Hi Editor, i was wondering whether you had any donny rovers news, or anything about SOD going to lcfc, anything on sharp either. Thanks {editor's note – you know I don't have anything, I used to live in Donny a few years back, but the only person connected to the club I got to know was an ex–player who is now a fireman. He was good friends with James Beattie and the Neville sis... er brothers as well, as they played in the same youth team. I don't know if he still has contacts with the club but I lost touch with him unfortunately so I can't even quiz him.}

News from Pittodrie is that Ipswich and Canada left winger Jaime Peters and Peru striker Andres Mendoza will become the newest additions to Mark McGhee's line–up next season. The two experienced players will be a real coup for the club and will bring much needed stability back into the first team

I don't want to pour cold water on your rumor but I highly doubt Jaime Peters is leaving Ipswich. We lost two right backs (David Wright and Liam Rosenior) and, although Peters is not technically a right back, he is the only player Roy Keane wants to keep at the club who can play the position. Perhaps if Ipswich gets two right backs in Peters could go, but not until then.

Leicester City Milan Mandaric has a number of Eastern European targets lined up, which he aims to contact before appointing a new manager, following the depature of Nigel Pearson to Hull. It's a market Mandaric is keen to exploit and is willing to invest in a striker, creative midfielder, and winger from the area.

Reports around the Walkers Stadium suggest that Polish midfielder Maciej Iwański, of Legia Warsaw, is one of the aforementioned targets. It's believed the 29 year old would cost somewhere in the region of 750,000 Euros.

The reason everything has gone quiet from within Bloomfield Road regarding Holloway's contract is that Olly and Oyston have agreed a contract, but the delay is because Oyston has told Olly that there WILL be a 10k wage cap on players for next season and whilst it is known that there is no specific transfer budget and each case is looked at individually, Oyston has told Olly that any incomings will not total more than 3 million. Olly is reluctant to sign the contract as he believes this is not giving him a realistic shot at surviving in the prem. He has also been sounded out about the Fulham job once Hodgson leaves.

29 Jun 2010 17:50:45
Hi every one,
I'm the guy that FIRST said Higuien to LFC back in Feb, I have some Spanish friends that keep me up to date on all things La Liga, well as we all know now hes signed on for Real but yes he did put in a transfer request because of the whole Ronaldo thing, which Pelegrini got the sack for, not having control over the superstars, as it turned out yes he misses more chances than puts away but he is a sort of a cult hero in Madrid apparently, so Moriniho came in and adios Pelegrini, bit harsh really as Madrid got their highest point tally in their history I think? They joked Pelegrini would be perfect for LFC as we won't have any superstars! tts (there a good bunch really).

This one is not from Spain but my mate down the pub sort of thing, hes wrong most of the time but sometimes comes up with a gem. The LFC takeover is none other than a consortium from Hollywood, 3 or 4 big players, i guess producers or someone like George Lucas? I don't know? But they are pretty loaded apparently, but it's not their wealth that they will bring to the club but their fame and connections. They are obviously extremely well connected in the US as you can imagine.

This apparently is why they are going for us, for mutual prosperity and the fact that they are genuine supporters. It would instantly make LFC the most glamorous sports "franchise" in the world, he also said that as every footballer wants to mix it with the A listers it shouldn't be a prob recruiting, which I suppose he has a point.

If you take the fact that LFC has the biggest fan base in the world when including second teams (i.e. you may be from Madrid support Real but you second team is LFC if you get my point) then LFC stands out as No1, how any one can measure this I don't know but bare with me, so they think they can make a bucket load of cash for LFC and them selves obviously??

Now normally I would just laugh at him but is this one of his gems, I don't know? It would seem just as plausible I suppose as a Sheik taking over? To me it seems plausible as both parties would generally have something to gain from this partnership?? Ed have you heard anything on the grapevine?

Tobey {editor's note – is this not a follow on from the old L4 project? Because that is the only thing I have heard, the guy who originally got L4 together, bringing in the likes of Kraft, is looking to put a fresh consortium together because nothing is happening with regards to a takeover.}

29 Jun 2010 17:50:57
Editor any new info on Ben arfa, Pienaar or Arteta cheers {editor's note – I haven't got anything new, Ben Arfa still seems to be on at the moment, as the replacement for Donovan. My mate still swears blind Pienaar is going to sign a new contract, though I am not sure if that is just optimistic thinking as I have also heard Spurs have registered an interest. Out of interest do you think that would mean Cole is not going to Spurs? I mean if Spurs are looking at another player who plays a similar role in Pienaar? And Arteta is very happy at Everton, but he is considering a Spain return for his child's sake, though I fail to see how he could think his child could possibly get better care back there than Alder Hey could give him.}

While one party is offering significantly more for the intial purchase, they are unwilling to commit significant amounts of spending on future investment to the infrastructure of the club, i.e the squad and stadium.

So lets get this straight, somebody is prepared to pay 100's of millions of pounds for LFC but are not going to put forward the money to improve the squad!

What type of a half–cocked business plan is that?

Regarding all these Ozil to Bayern rumours: While in Germany for the last week I haven't heard nothing about it. But that is not my point. Why would Bayern need another player for their 3 players playing behind the striker (they play similar to the German national team). They already have Ribery, Muller and Robben as their first choice. Then there is Toni Kroos– another highly rated young player who plays in these positions. So would they sign another quality player for these positions??

M.U.F.C. NEWS

Sir Alex Ferguson has said United may buy 1 player. This player is Alexis Sanchez from Udinese. He will cost around 18 million. Udinese want close to 25 million but Sanchez is desperate to go and United will not pay over the odds. Expect this to be agreed over the coming fortnight.

Now

The situation regarding Nemanja Vidic is interesting. Sir Alex knows Vidic is keen to move and he also knows Real Madrid are interested.

Here is the interesting bit

United are powerless to keeping an unhappy player (as you saw with Ronaldo) Sir Alex is keen to add more firepower to the United frontline. Manchester United ARE going to offer Vidic to Real Madrid is exchange for KARIM BENZEMA + 10 million! Benzema is on his way out of Real Madrid after being told by mourinho he cannot guarantee him a regular starting place.

When agreed, Sir Alex will then proceed with a bid for either Simon Kjaer (who would prefer to move to United over spurs if they make a formal offer) or Giorgio Chiellini at Juventus. He will then look to offload Dimitar Berbatov with Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg and AC milan likely destinations.

Thus Sir Alex getting 3 players effectively for the price of 2.
He is not stupid and is always looking for the best deals to suit United.
Great deal all round.

SANCHEZ – 18 MILLION
KJAER OR CHIELLINI – 15 MILLION OR 23 MILLION
KARIM BENZEMA – FREE (EXCHANGED WITH VIDIC)

To the idiot who said
Rob PSG
Just heard from a very good source that Everton on tracking Honda from Japan. Moyes is at the game today and is willing to let Yakubu go if he can get his man. Also on the Ben Afra point, he will at club Shop on 30/06/10 for the new kit! I may have been wrong once or twice in the past but as you no 9 times out of ten i am right as my sources are indeed the best! And refering to the Ireland link yesterday i can confirm that talks did take place at finich farm yesterday.watch this space! and finally as the blues fly out on friday i will be at airport to conduct a head count and will confirm if Arteta is on the plane!! news from accross the park is that Hidink will take over as they have stopped taking bets!

erm your sources arnt the best becuase the everton website clearly says that rodwell and greame sharp will unveil the kit so at least check that before you post. everton are set to sign gueye from france on thursday in time to fly to australia. and across the park bbc are certain itll be hodgeson so i don't think you have sources you just make things up yes i want us to sign ireland just because your so called sources which are probs just your mates said hes in talks doesn't mean were signing him why can't you just wait till something is strong before speculating like the gueye rumour which the club have been quiet on but the player has confirmed that is an educated rumour that actually means something not just some saddo getting hopes up by making rubbish up GUEYE TO SIGN HOPEFULLY ON THURSDAY

Ed im still not conviced about this as i can't find any ruling on it either. Having read the article it says the are given a mandatory break. I presume that is down to the discretion of the player in question and that they are entitled to a break but it isn't forced on them if this "rule" is true. Regardless i don't see an issue for one game as its a europa league qualifier.

Re this one:

Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard will have signing talks with Celtic next week with a view to a season–long loan.

Source: BBC

So, Daviebhoy, still reckon there's no chance Bullard will sign for Celtic?

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

IMO Bullard won't sign, for a few reasons, he will have to go thru a stringent medical, which I don;t think he will pass, as with Steven Reid, we were intersted, but due to his Injury history, was put thru a stricter medical, and subsequently failed it despite passing WBA's medical, which shows that the Medicals at parkhead at the mo are very tough, because of recent history/signings don't want to waste money on a player who's out for half the season again. Another point is, he'll be commanding wages of around 40k a week, well above the structure set out for that type of player, do you think Brown would be happy knowing that a 31 year old injury prone player is getting over double what he is? It's different for strikers (eg. keane) because their Goals win points, I know we need players to set them up, so don't get pedantic, but look at most of the highest paid players in the world, what do they all have in common? – guaranteed goals. But again, my Bullard not signing for Celtic post is just IMO, not from a source, but I think my reasons are pretty valid

Ed – any ideas as to why Sky aren't reporting the Hodgson to Liverpool story, the BBC are reporting it as pretty much a done deal ??
redAL {editor's note – because it is not definitely done and Sky are waiting to report it when it is definitely done or crow about how the BBC got it wrong if it doesn't happen.}

which suggests it's not as much of a done deal as some people are making out ??
redAL {editor's note – nothing is ever a done deal until the contracts are signed and ratified by the FA. I have seen so many definites fall through at the last second to never be completely sure about any move any more.}

My rumors so far have been 100% this year =) .
And here is more ive heard from my reliable sources .

Kilmarnock manager has been giving roughly 25 % less funds than last seasons budget but he is already interested in 3 free agent players one of which played in the premier league last season .

Burnley have had a bid of roughly 3million for hearts andrew driver knocked back from the Hearts board andy is content at hearts although he would consider a team in the north of england that's in the premier league .

Out of contract kris boyd has got a lucrative offer from an english premier league side unfortunatley i have been unable to squeeze the name of the club out of his close relation .

Also hibernian striker anthony stokes has been approached unnoficially by celtic asking if he would be interested in a move its not a bid of any sort just a question of interest so they know if there i any reason to bid on Him .

Editor: You said about Newcastle offering Boyd a contract, but with him visiting Turkey, do you have any information lots of people don't know? {editor's note – I just know a number of clubs offered him contracts and that he hadn't made a decision but was instead going to visit a number of clubs and have a look round the facilities and area of the clubs he was interested in to help him decide. I don't know if anyone knows if he has visited or will visit Newcastle? They might not be a club he has any interest in, but the person I spoke to seemed very hopeful, they seemed to think that being closer to Scotland gave them an advantage.}

It would cost them well over 5m just for BCFC to think about it – and Leeds don't have 500k let alone 5m, and bigger clubs won't take the chance for that sort of money. He has 2 years left on his contract and City don't need to sell. He won't be moving this season especially to a club like Leeds, but he will be the season after to a decent premiership club and then into the England team – he is that good.

To the clown that said the above, the biggest laugh is you thinking Bristol City are or ever have been better than Leeds let's list your achievements again, hmm yeh thought as much however Leeds aren't interested in Maynard, Jason Scotland to Leeds top 6 finish up through the playoffs back to the Premiership where we belong

Editor, Do you have any west ham transfer news? Such as will the riquelme deal go through? Is their any truth in the Baptista story? And any other targets that we may have. Thanks {editor's note – I believe that Riquelme rejected West Ham, from what I have heard he said their wage offer was laughable. But, I have to point out, that it could be a matter of people just saying that because the owners do not have the best reputation in that regards. Baptista seems to be pretty similar though, it seems to be similar to when Spurs were making offers to the likes of Rivaldo. They knew the player wasn't going to join but it got the fans excited and behind the owners and they built from there. Whether or not West Ham can do the same I don't know.}

In response to the bitter Spurs fan that posted about the Koscielny signing:

{Why is it a quality signing? Because Arsenal have bought him? Arsenal's first bid of 3.4m was rejected and they ended up paying 9.7m for a 24 year old which is not good enough to make the French team and Arsenal were the only team trying to purchase him, Is he any good? I guess we will find out next season! Another Frog to add to the swamp.}

What sort of accusation is "not making the french team!"
Was Vermaelen any good ? do we think Wenger knows how to sign a player ?

On a brighter note a great Spanish finance contact I have who is a huge Barca fan and has dealings with 4 of the first team there told me that no one there really believes there is any sign of Fabregas being bought for silly money , feeling was they would wait a while longer for the inevitable to happen in a few seasons time .

To the person that said this:
remember capello contract talks, he already had 4 years they just removed an escape clause. Can someone confirm

Capello's contract was set to end at the end of the world cup. The FA wanted to scure Capello for England as they thought he would do well in the world cup considering our qualification and how it was done with relative ease. The escape clause was removed from the new contract (for some obscure reason) so the FA will have to give Capello a large fee if they do sack him.

It is rumoured that if he is sacked he will be given £5million in compensation and the FA will be saved more money if he quickly finds another team to manage.

Sorry to step on your point but Capellos contract was always to run until the end of Euro 2012. However this contract had an escape clause stating he could get out after the world cup. As capello was doing so well (oh the irony) before the world cup and the FA wanted to tie him down.they renegotiated the contract. No major details were changed apart from the removal of the said clause. The talk now is that the FA are hoping that a club side comes in for capello so that they do not have to pay up the remainder of his contract which is for the next 2 years.

StatoTK

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Sorry, but no mate. He signed a 2 year deal until the end of the World Cup but as brilliant as we were in qualifying the FA extended his contract by 2 years again. The FA want some club team to come in for Capello so they don't have to pay the 10m compensation.

As a said on Friday, (and now everybody is saying it, even tho i got told to get a life), Redknapp will become the new England manage in about a couple of weeks.

U heard it from me first!!

I was in Strada Restuarant in Birmingham this weekend and Luke Young was sitting at the table next to me with who i assume is his girlfriend/wife. I overheard him talking to her about the possibility of joining West Ham. He said that he has been in talks and is excited that they are being linked with players such as Henry, Riquelme, etc. He also said that he would like to return to London with his family and his girlfriend seemed to agree with him. As he left the restaurant it looked as though he had decided that he will sign for West Ham.

Hey

As most ppl have probably seen on SSN just now, Sol Campbell is currently @ Celtic park in transfer negotiations, and as I'm sure most (interested) ppl would have seen today Cha Du–Ri is due @ Celtic today also (for a medical) Once again it seems my posts have been vindicated, granted the deals have not been finalised, but they are only one step from it. I can't guarantee a medical will be passed etc. However as I said on Friday (rough) quote "I will put my neck on the line and Celtic should have 2 new players on board by Tuesday" 2 days later Lennon Came out and said he hopes to have 2 new players on board by Thursday, I posted later that day, that although Lennon said in public Thu, expect some action on Tue. I also stated the previous Fri ( i think it was the Fri) that one of Celtics transfer targets is a player who hasn't even been mentioned in public by any form of the media or outwith Celtic park, and that this player was at the world cup, I did say at the time that it was pretty vague, but that was all the info I had as the they wanted to keep their cards very close to their chest on this signing. It has been reported today (actually quoted) that Cha Du–Ri has now been a target for Celtic over the past 2/3 weeks. Again I feel vindicated in my statement, not by gossip etc, but by facts and quotes. Granted, as I said, the deals aren't finalised, but I can only report what I hear, and it seems as if the deals are good as done, if they fall thru now, there is nothing I can do about that, BUT my dates, player name, and unmentioned player have all been correct.

So when I post something on here and it isn't reported in the paper in the following few days, I get criticised and told i'm talking cr@p, it's not my fault if it doesn't become public knowledge until the time is right, another example being Rangers takeover not going thru, and taken off market – 3 weeks prior I posted that – with valid reasons.

I know it is only a small minority who like to criticise and abuse my posts, however it does get annoying when all you're doing is passing on possible info, now with the subscription service up and running i'll probably start posting any "decent" info on there, as the ppl who are actually interested in "transfer gossip" are the ones who I assume will be posting there, therefore exchange of info without the nonsense you get with it will be more enjoyable and valid.

Daviebhoy

p.s I also said that I doubted Mulgrew will sign for Celtic, I stated that that was IMO, and not from a source, I stand by that statement – contrary to paper talk, the reason being (if things go according to plan today) there will be 2 new defenders on board, although I know we need a decent left back, I just don't think he's the Bhoy. However if i'm wrong, i'll stand corrected, and it's not my info that is wrong, just my opinion on that transfer, big difference.

p.p.s I wonder if Big Sol completes the deal, will Wee T cough up the ton I put on the line with him

Bringin back the thunder

According to Hibernian FC boardroom Hibs have lost out on the chance to snap up Gary O'Conner from Birmingham but have made a shock approach for Leverkusen's Tranquillo Barnetta. Other names heading to Hibs are Emmerson boyce for an undisclosed fee and WBA's Reuben Reid on a season long loan.

Glasgow rangers/celtic news:

Rangers:

the £5million is set for transfer deals only NOT for deals for wier and broadfoot, if this was the case they would have offered boyd more money to stay at ibrox.

There will be several loan bids but only players that will improve the team not just to fill numbers. I am not sure about the man utd players as ferguson would like to keep them for thier carling cup games.

as for bougherra going He deserves better standard of football than playing celtic, aberdeen, hearts or even Inverness caley thistle every couple of weeks.
bougherra will go to england for roughly between £6million – £10million don't be suprised by the £10million remark as its a possiblilty.

Celtic news:

Sol campbell is still a mystery, I feel he is up for talks BUT its still prefering england as theres no appeal for him up here apart from the silly wage he would collect from celtic. the korean player . 50/50 a suppose due to connections in asia for celtic. Ledley no chance he's far to good a player for any scottish team and will join a premiership side.
Celtic seem to be linked with a new player almost every day which is pretty boring now but its sells newspapers eh!. celtic outgoings is interesting as no bids for any of there players but they will need to sell soon to achieve the amount of signings that are rumoured to be linked to celtic.

as for the rest of the spl, watch hibs making a few suprises and possibly hearts.

Celtic are trying to secure a deal with Everton with McGeady going to Goodison and Celtic getting a young guy called Vaughn? plus cash.
Ledley has options in the Prem and will snub Celtic but Sol Campbell and Mulgrew are as good as signed.
Cha Du–Ri is being tempted to link up with Ki Seung who gave a very good account of himself in South Africa.
Samaras and McManus will go to 'Boro with Celtic trying to do a deal to bring back 'Skippy' who's desperate to come back. Another striker likely to be on his way is Tony Stokes from Hibs, who want either Caddis or O'Dea as part of the deal. This is a tough decision for Lennon.
The club were hoping to tempt Keane or Bellamy but that has died a death, thus the 2 previous deals.
That would leave The Celtic needing a Goalkeeper, a defender and a goal scoring midfielder to tie up before the pre–season get's under way. Any ideas?

nice rumours, not very realistic though.
Utd might sign one of those players, they certainly won't sign all three. (I'm discounting the Casillas rumour, cos as the ed said, that ain't gonna happen)Don't forget Utd have all ready signed Hernandez and Smalling this year, and their net transfer budget is only likely to be around £20m. Don't believe what Gill may or may not have said, what comes out of chief exec mouths can usually be treated with utter contempt.
Toure to Man City yes, (why when they've got De Jong), Milner to City, maybe, but Milner doesn't strike me as a money grabber (unlike the cart horse Barry), so I'd still be suprised if he went. Not worth £28m anyway. Silva to city, no sorry can't see it happening, Chelsea, Barca, Real, Inter are far more likely destinations.
The Arsenal transfers maybe, except Wright–Phillips, 1) he's english, 2) he's not a Wenger player.
Ozil to Bayern, that's a cert if you ask me.
Carrick and Cole won't go to Spurs, and why would spurs wan't Carrick back anyway, he is so overated.
As for the rest, their maybes, except Masch to Inter, don't think that's gonna happen. However these are just my opinions, and in Football you never know

RE:

KOPTALK understands that at least 3 national journalists are currently investigating Christian Purslow's previous business connections with Liverpool FC co–owner Tom Hicks.
There is a campaign online to try and discredit the Liverpool Managing Director, some of which is justified, some of which isn't. But this is different.
Purslow's American business links are currently being scrutinised and a new name has also entered the equation. We're prevented from publishing this name at the moment although we have published the initials on our members site for future reference as it is going to surface.
We're informed by sources in the city that the Royal Bank of Scotland are going to extend the loan to Hicks and Gillett. That suggests to us that Hicks has pledged to service the debt and the only way he can do that is by selling players. This will allow Hicks to cling on for as long as possible and bleed the club dry until time runs out. Please don't be naive and say he won't do it because of the valuation. The club is highly overvalued as it is.
For now we're going to keep mum. We just wanted to make you aware that something is brewing and that if/when Hodgson is unveiled, it's going to kick off and not just on websites.
But remember, Roy Hodgson is not the man at fault here. If he is appointed get behind him'

Absolute and utter horsesh&t. After totally exhausting the 'Arab takeover' rumour, Duncan now changes tack and focuses his fat Geordie mince pies on Purslow and Hicks as a way of sucking in yet more gullible, desperate viewers. If you respect your sanity, then do not believe a word this fat charlatan speaks or prints.

I would just like to add to the above person's post that Kraptalk is not to be believed, and a note to the editor about another person called 'The Wallet' who posts on here, those rumours are from Duncan Oldham (the self–styled 'editor' of Kraptalk). Please do not allow Duncan Oldham to spout his garbage, as it is well known he is a lying, cheating fraudster that rips off honest LFC fans.

Justice for the 96 YNWA {editor's note – the whole idea of the site is for people to post up rumours they have heard, and then for other people to point out whether or not it is a load of rubbish. If people believe what they read on Koptalk and then post it here then it is up to us to point out if it is a load of crap or not and make them aware that it is rubbish if it is. Though I have to say nothing of his I have read shows any kind of inside knowledge of the club whatsoever. In fact most of the time it has been quite the opposite and makes me wonder why so many people believe what he has to say.}

To the idiot who contradicted himself in his own post by saying this :–"
So please for your own sake's stop deluding yourself and believing the propaganda Glazer and co put out. Money is tight and as such expect SAF to work very hard to bring in players on a relative shoestring budget. This information comes from a very well placed source within United, and United's accounts are available to the public if anyone wants to trawl through the 300+ pages to dispute this.

In the know"

Yes united accounts are made public every 3 months due to bond issue and it has PROVED and i repeat PROVED of the existence of the 95mil cash reserve. I don't think if mney was tight SAF would be spending 10mil on a virtual unknown from mexico, 10mil on smalling or around 16mil combined on diouf and vermijl!

ERM DIOUF COST US 2.25M AND VERMIJL COST US 250K, HERNANDEZ COST US 6M WHICH COULD RISE TO 10M (UNLIKELY) SMALLING COST 7M WHICH MAY RISE TO 14M (AGAIN UNLIKELY)!

THESE FIGURES ARE VERY ACCURATE!

And about vidic's agent did you read carefully what his agent said? He said that united were keen on a new mega deal but as vidic was at the WC he did not know what vidic wanted ( by which he meant contract terms). The papers made it look like vidic wants out etc. but he has said he is happy at the club many times himself. His agent also dismissed any contact with any other club! At this time of the year agents are always making noises to push for new deals and to just get that extra amount of cash. Read the recent comments from juve about chiellini in which they have stated that they have met his wage demands and are negotiating a new deal, while just a few days earlier his agent had been talking about interest from other clubs and being open to move.

OKAY FAIR ENOUGH, I HAVE HEARD HIM SAY HE IS STAYING, HE SAID HE WILL SEE HIS CONTRACT THROUGH TIL 2012, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS UNITED WILL NOT LET HIM GO FOR FREE IN TWO SEASONS TIME WHEN THEY KNOW THEY CAN GET BETWEEN 20–23M FOR HIM THIS SUMMER. THIS IS WHY THEY ARE TRYING TO GET HIM TO SIGN A CONTRACT NOW, BECAUSE IF HE REFUSES UNITED WILL LISTEN TO OFFERS FOR HIM.

HE HAS TWO CHOICES, SIGN A BIG 90K A WEEK CONTRACT OR PACK YOUR BAGS. CHIELLINI MAY WELL SIGN A BIG DEAL AT JUVE BUT HE IS 100% A TARGET FOR FERGIE IF VIDIC IS SOLD, IT IS ALSO FACT THAT HE HAS BEEN LEARNING ENGLISH. I WOULD LOVE FOR VIDIC TO SIGN A NEW 3 YEAR EXTENSION BUT HIS WIFEY WANTS TO MOVE TO A HOTTER CLIMATE AND BEING THE MALE, HE WILL NO DOUBT DO AS HE IS TOLD LOL!

I AGREE WITH UNITED, IF HE IS UNWILLING TO SIGN A NEW DEAL THEN HE MUST GO BEFORE WE LOSE HIM FOR FREE, AM I WRONG IN THINKING THIS ED? {editor's note – it makes good sense to sell him for the most money and then invest that money back into the squad.}

To whoever said this:

Papers are reporting that liverpool will be missing most of there first team for are europa league match on july 23rd
rules say all players must have a 3 week break from the time they are knocked out of world cup this means mascharano/rodriguez and kuyt will all miss game as will torres and reina if as expected spain win tonight add to that the fact gerrard/johnson and carragher will only have returned to training the week befor could be a tricky time for new manager {editor's note – what rules say that? Can you link me to them please?}

Possibly the most ludicrous thing ive ever heard haha There is no such rule. {editor's note – that is what I thought too, hence why I asked for a link.}

it's mentioned on the Liverpool echo website
redAL {editor's note – what the rule is? Because I can't find anything in UEFA/FIFA or FA laws about a 3 week break following the World Cup. Has anyone else been able to find it?}

The post below sounds great but I've heard soooooo many stories about the LFC takeover I think I'll wait to story actually comes from LFC themselves. Having said that the silence coming form the club is deafening and a bit worrying. What do you think ed?

29 Jun 2010 12:27:48
I have been fed some rather interesting news regarding the ongoing LFC takeover saga.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what the consensus is on this. {editor's note – I really don't believe there is a takeover nearby right now, I hope I am wrong though.}

"Balotelli to arsenal 100% once arsene allows his interest to be know there is no way that he will turn down arsenal."

Balotelli has already said he's flattered but doesn't want to leave Inter.. It's not hard to turn down Arsenal to stay at a treble winning club.

Even if Man City were mad enough to give arsenal joe hart i believe it would only be on loan, it is reasonable enough to suggest that City have a good goalkeeper in Given and would prefer to have Hart get more game time and champions league games under his belt rather than be the bench keeper in the league and cups. It works as arsenal get a good keeper for a year and city get their future number one blooded at a higher level than birmingham.
Just my two cents.

They spotted him while watching Maicon, my sources tell me and have kept an eye on him ever since. I don't know how true that is, I am not sure where Inter got Maicon from but for this to be right it must be a French team and I thought they got him straight from Brazil? Southampton will not sign marcel seip from plymouth full stop, he will stay at least at championship level there is no way he would drop a league, seip has been plymouths best player over the past 3 years, he is worth at least a million pounds.

Are you serious? Seip is unhappy at the club, has only a year left on his contract and is one of your highest earners, he's definatley not worth £1million. Also how could going from Plymouth to Southampton be dropping a league. Wake up and smell the coffee. Your a league 1 club with no future, no money and a small support base. You've had your days in the CCC, welcome back to where you belong.

Unsigned wrote at 29 Jun 2010 11:50:56:

" I know post if posted this will piss off some on the forum but tough I'm sending it anyway."

Let's hope so eh.

"Assumptions:
1 – When H&G bought LFC debt was not created – they said they weren't "doing a Glazers"."

Correct.

"2 – Some point afterwards H&G borrowed a stack of cash using LFC as security"

Broadly correct – the business rather than the football club provides the security.

"(although the bulk of this money has never been seen by the playing side of the club)."

Correct – and I doubt they ever intended it to.

"3 – If H&G default on the debt then the club will either be the property of the lenders or go into administration and H&G will leave with nothing."

Not really I am afraid. If the owners were unable to pay the debt or interest due on the debt they would have a number of options open to them. The tow at the top of the list would see (a) players sold to service the debt; or (b) an alternate source of funding used. It is this second route that would be used as BarCap have already guaranteed up to £300M worth of funding for the owners should it be required.

"4 – Currently H&G are hoping to take a good profit on a sale which will clear the debt in the process."

Correct. Although if they could not make a profit on top of the debt there would be no sense in selling the business. They could just sit tight and as long as they service the debt, wait for circumstances to improve.

"5 – Any prospective buyer will be aware of the above but with more accuracy and detail."

Correct.

"If the above assumptions are anywhere near correct then any buyer is not likely to do the deal until defaulting on the debt is imminent or H&G drop their asking price to reflect their predicament. They may even allow the club to go into administration and then pick up the club at the lowest possible price."

This all hinges on item 3 above – and unfortunately that is the incorrect item. One of Purslow's roles was to secure additional funding through investment for equity. This resulted in Rhone Group of £118 for 40% (from memory) offer that was, quite rightly, rejected.

"This is why Broughton (a Chelsea fan) has been employed to run the process. A Liverpool fan would put the future of the club and the mental health of the fans into the equation. To Broughton the fans are only important as customers. The only thing that matters in the takeover process is money."

Mr Broughton is probably doing the best that he can. I don't think there is anything relevant in him being a Chelsea supporter.

"I think we will see brinkmanship happening with the very real possibility that Liverpool will going into administration and then a buyer will come in pick up the club for the cost of paying off the creditors."

I very much doubt it.

"To sum up
1 – No takeover this year
2 – Administration likely during the 2010/11 season
3 – No European football in 2011/12 season
4 – Possible relegation battle brought on by points deductions for administration
5 – Long term future brighter as H&G gone, debts paid off and investment in the club for a new ground"

I think you are seeing things as somewhat worse than they are.

Sharkey.

The german radio i heard had an interview with ozil himself! In it he said that he was asked about united and he said he would love to join united as he loved their playing style and history and also compared SAF to low who gave youngsters a chance. The one you heard surely sounds like a media speculation! And you believed what the commentrators said! That truly and utterly defines your intellectual capacity!
I may even have believed your post but the best things came in its latter stages. Commentrators saying park will leave! WOW! I can guarentee a 110% that ji sung park will be a united player when this window closes!
About the 90% chance united signing sanchez, united's main focus this year is a central midfield playmaker not another winger! Why will SAF blow his budget on buying another winger? Certainly doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
And you saved the best for the last "afterall he fits well in anyside doesn't imply he will sign for all teams." I must say i was really lol with this one. Try fitting him into the barca setup, or with chelsea, or with real madrid, and you will find he fits in none!

You come off as a german who does not want ozil to leave the country for another club. And you believing commentrators was just adorable!

To the idiot who said this :"
WHO SAID ANYTHING ABOUT 'SQUAD' I WAS NAMING MY FIRST XI. I KNOW TONI.V IS A CRACKING PLAYER AND THAT IS WHY I BELIEVE HE WILL BE ROTATED WITH EITHER SANCHEZ OR NANI, HE FADED TOWARDS THE END OF LAST SEASON SO THIS IS WHY FERGIE WANTS TO ROTATE HIM TO KEEP HIM FRESH.

ALSO ITS NO SECRET THAT VIDIC IS CONSIDERING LEAVING, HIS AGENT HAS OPENLY COME OUT AND SAID HE IS CONSIDERING HIS OPTIONS AND I KNOW HE HAS TURNED DOWN TWO NEW CONTRACT OFFERS, FERGIE HAS BEEN KEEPING AN EYE ON CHIELLINI AND KJAER, MUTV HAVE CONFIRMED THIS IN THE PAST MONTH. I DON'T WANT VIDIC TO LEAVE BUT THE TRUTH IS HE IS SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IT.

OZIL OR COLE WILL NOT BE SIGNED, UNITED HAVE RULED OUT THE COLE SIGNING AND I DON'T BLAME THEM, HE HAS NO LOYALTY TO ANYONE, HE HAS BEEN SHOCKING FOR THE PAST SIX MONTHS, SINCE HE RETURNED FROM HIS INJURY AND ARSENAL AND SPURS ARE WELCOME TO HIM, HE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY FOR UNITED. OZIL WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION BUT I WOULD PREFER JOVETIC AS AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER AND HE WILL COST 10M LESS. SANCHEZ CAN PLAY LEFT WING, RIGHT WING AND AS A CENTRAL ATTACKING MIDFIELDER, HE CAN ALSO PLAY AS A STRIKER SO I WOULD TAKE HIM OVER ANYONE.

"
So man united need an attacking mid but they go and blow money on another winger! Doesn't make sense to me at all! Actually jovetic would cost more than ozil as ozil is in the final year of his contract so bremen cannot hold any team for ransom, and after the a transfer saga that happened with fiorentina recently i don't think they will be willing to do business cheaply with united for their best player!

As for MUTV confirming things. MUTV just reported what "rumours were in the papers about united". United have a strict policy of not talking about the transfer targets or who SAF is interested in before the deal is done!

Just read the following 'Fabio Capello's reign as England manager is being depicted on the brink of termination.

Just what we need as a boost for the nation, in the middle of a credit crunch and a budget that's just impinged greatly on the average working man, we're gonna have to send the Italian back home with 12million quid of our money.

Ridgebackred."

The FA said yesterday that they would meet Capello in 2 weeks to decide his future. The inference being that emotions were running high following England's dismal performances in South Africa and the 2 weeks is a kind of 'cooling off' period.

Any kneejerk reactions from the red–tops is just that and best taken with a rather large pinch of salt.

Has anyone got any real chelsea transfer gossip as i am getting worried as we haven't signed anyone yet and our squad isn't exactly young is it !!

dont worry.thers still a lot more days left in transfer market.ancelotti already told in the official website that chelsea are waiting to see who all will leave, and will sign apt replacements after that.although late you will see some new talented faces in chelsea kits this season before new season starts.i'm assure you chelsea won't disappoint you in that matter

I'll second that. Im no chelsea fan but all our clubs are in the same boat. Things will only start happening when certain players go out of the world cup. In a couple of weeks i expect the English transfer market to kick into gear.

My understanding is that Martin Broughton's brief is to seek assurances that any purchaser of the business will be looking at the long term needs for a new ground and generally at maintaining and improving the infrastructure. However, all he can seek is assurances that this will happen – there is no way that the new owners can be contractually obliged to build a new stadium within x years etc..

"Both of these parties would clear the clubs debt after taking over."

No. The existing debts will be cleared as part of the sale process. You cannot separate the tow issues. There could be new debt leveraged on the club at a later date of course.

"In addition one group (with the higher inital offer) have no preference who they would like as club manager and are happy to go along with Purslows recommendations. The other party however have already sounded out their preferred coach and would make a move for him once the purchase has been concluded."

It seems very premature to start meddling in such matters.

"One would have to suggest that the current owners would like to accept the higher offer and take the money and move on, while the other senior club figures who will remain employed, would like to go with the other offer which would allow then to invest in the clubs infrastructure, and to a certain extend appease the fans."

It is the owners decision entirely. The "other senior club figures" have no say in the matter.

Your whole post smacks of misguided conjecture I am afraid.

Sharkey.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what the consensus is on this.

IF VIDIC LEAVES CHIELLINI WILL COME IN, AN ATTACKING MIDFIELDER WILL COME IN BUT FOR AROUND 15–20M, IT MAY BE SANCHEZ AS HE CAN PLAY IN THE CENTRE OR EITHER WING. IF YOU HAVE FOLLOWED THE WORLD CUP THEN YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM PICK UP THE BALL A LOT IN THE CENTRE, HE REALLY WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION AND WOULD BE AFFORDABLE.

PLEASE GUYS YOU MUST STOP ALL THIS BENZEMA, FABIANO, SNEIJDER AND OZIL RUBBISH, THE LATTER IS A POSSIBILITY INSTEAD OF SANCHEZ BUT FORGET THE REST, WE DO NOT HAVE THAT SORT OF MONEY, WE WILL HAVE 10–15M PLUS SALES (TOSIC 8M & FOSTER 6M).

ARSENAL FC:

GK) Many rumours about Mark Schwarzer, very little truth in them. The main man for Wenger is Manuel Neuer. He would cost around £12m.
RB) Van der Wiel will replace Sagna who is heading to Inter to replace the Madrid bound Maicon. The deal will be around £7–8m with £14–16m coming in from the sale of Sagna.
LB) No changes although this season will probably see Gibbs take over from Clichy.
CB) Major changes due to the departures of Gallas, Silvestre and possibly Campbell. A deal appears to be imminent for Laurent Koscielny (£8m) although he is left footed like Vermaelen. Therefore a right footed CB is required to balance the back line – one of Kjaer, Cahill, Mertesacker or Diakhate will be purchased, but Phillipe Mexes contract situation (expires 2011) means he would be the cheapest option – and he is equally comfortable to use either foot. Havard Nordtveidt returns from loan in the Bundesliga and would provide back up for the new man.
DCM) Song and Diaby will fill this role with Denilson as back up. Axel Witsel could come in from Standard Liege for around £4m but this would simply be as back up.
CAM) Should Fabregas be sold (Barca have until the end of the WC to meet the £60m valuation), then 3 options will be considered. Mesut Ozil, who has been tracked by Wenger for several years now, Yoann Gourcuff whose link play with Chamakh was key to Bordeaux's successes and Eden Hazard. There will be NO deal for Joe Cole. Wenger is not interested in a player who has suffered so many injury problems. We have enough of that in Rosicky already! Wilshere will not be out on loan due to the injury to Ramsey.
ST) With the addition of Chamakh, only a serious injury to Van Persie during the WC will see any further activity. Arshavin, Walcott, Eduardo and Bendtner will all provide competition.
Expect CC run outs for Benik Afobe, Gilles Sunu, Henri Lansbury and Kyle Bartley this season.

NO TRUTH IN THE SCHWARZER RUMOUR? SO TWO BIDS OF 2M AND 3M WAS NOT TURNED DOWN BY FULHAM THEN? YOU NOODLE, ITS FACT! ARSENAL HAVE HAD TWO BIDS TURNED DOWN FOR HIM. NONE OF THOSE DEFENDERS WILL BE BROUGHT IN BY WENGER, HE WILL BUY A NOBODY LIKE KOSCIELNY AGAIN, YOU SHOULD KNOW WENGER BY NOW, HE IS SO PREDICTABLE.

To the person who posted the following:

"29 Jun 2010 09:18:18
Fabio Capello is expected to be sacked in the next two weeks! Harry Redknapp is likley to take over after he said he wouldn't turn down a chance to manage his country which i can understand but i would like to see him doing well with spurs in the champions league even though im a leeds fan, if he leaves for england then Roy Hodsgon will become the spurs boss, if Harry Redknapp chances his mind about england, the FA would then turn to Rodsgon for Capello's succsessor, there the two best english managers and we want a english manger! , also Sven Gorrain Erikson will become the new Liverpool manager FACT!"

That speculation is ridiculous. Eriksson will NOT be the new Liverpool manager. Hodgson will NOT be the new England Manager. Liverpool will announce that their new manager is Roy Hodgson, with the announcement expected this Thursday.

29 Jun 2010 12:37:26
Comrades!

I have seen the rumours on here regarding the alleged imminent appointment of Hodgson to the post of Liverpool manager. Before I say what my 'in club' sources say, I shall just pass comment that an appointment of Hodgson would mean the sale of the club is almost certainly at least 12 months away.

Now for my 'in club' source. She says (as of midday today) that no–one at the club has any idea at all. The hierarchy remain 100% 'leakproof'. What she did say however is that it's very strong rumour within the staff that at least one potential candidate walked away because the money available for transfers is "derisory", and the board would not relinquish total control of transfers in and out.

Make of that what you will.

Leeds Utd are preparing an undisclosed bid for Bristol City Striker Nicky Maynard. Maynard is currently discussing new terms with Bristol.

Best laugh on here today.

As capello was doing so well (oh the irony) before the world cup and the FA wanted to tie him down..they renegotiated the contract. No major details were changed apart from the removal of the said clause. The talk now is that the FA are hoping that a club side comes in for capello so that they do not have to pay up the remainder of his contract which is for the next 2 years.

Celtic Rumours
==================
Several players rumoured to be coming & going at Celtic Park in the next few weeks.

Incoming
Jimmy Bullard – Loan deal –would be decent signing IF he can stay fit (big IF)

Cha Du–Ri –South Korean right back has been quoted in several papers saying that he is coming in for talks today – Free transfer as he is out of contract, he has played all his career in the Bundesliga so should be a decent player.

Joe Ledley – looks unlikey now as both stoke & west brom have both been romoured to have agreed a £2.5M fee for him and he would perfer the EPL to the SPL.

Charlie Mulgrew – The left back looks to be returning on a free transfer in the next 2 days.

Sol Cambell – Possible free transfer if he doesn't feel he'll get many games at Arsenal next season – would be a great signing even at his age.

Liam Lawrence – A rumoured £1.8M bid

expect a few other names to be thrown into the rumour mill, Lennon has said from day 1 that he does want a big name signing.

Outgoing
Artur " The Holy Goalie" Boruc –in his final year of contract and looking for a new challenge, several teams in italy, germany & england thought to be looking at him for somewhere between £3–4M

McGeady – looks to be off, several teams looking at him, depending on what paper you read it will be for somewhere between£6–10M (no final ball..)

Hinkel – wants to go back to germany, expect to get around £2.5–3M

McManus & sami@rse – both off to Middlesbrough for around £3.5M

I have been fed some rather interesting news regarding the ongoing LFC takeover saga.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see what the consensus is on this.

""Arsenal are understood to have agreed terms with Lorient for Laurent Koscielny.
The deal, which is set to be officially concluded on July 1, is worth €12million (£9.7million) according to French sources.
Quality new signing for the gunners!

Source:Sky Sports News""

{Why is it a quality signing? Because Arsenal have bought him? Arsenal's first bid of 3.4m was rejected and they ended up paying 9.7m for a 24 year old which is not good enough to make the French team and Arsenal were the only team trying to purchase him, Is he any good? I guess we will find out next season! Another Frog to add to the swamp.}

29 Jun 2010 12:33:57
Arsenal will only sign 3 more players after the capture of Koscielny. These will be a g/k who is Schwarzer . Another defender will be signed but he will be used as back up possiblily Upson. The last signing will be a midfilder and this will be either Joe Cole (depending on wage demand) or Rafael Van der Vaart.

In– Kosciely 9m
In– Schwarzer 3.5m
In– Upson 3m
In– Joe Cole (free)
In– RVDV 8m

The following players will leave.

Out– Gallas (free) PSG/JUVENTUES
Out– Almunia (Loan) Newcastle
Out– Vela (Loan) ???

Maybe Out– Cesc Fabregas. Cesc will only leave if Barca bid at least 45m. I expect Barca to look else where because i can't see them payng 45m for a guy who won't even get in the team.

Ozil FAbiano Sniejder to Man U. Bull
Ozil Sniejder to arsenal crap
Torres to Barcelona. What are you smoking

None of these transfers r. Real. Ozil is 80 % going to Barca. Sniejder is staying at Milan in fact the opening Bid for him would have to atleast be 40 mil. Dalglish is in charge of. The transfers and will not even come to the table for a sale of Torres if someone doesn't start at atleast 65mil pounds and torres doent want to go . All what people say is bull All teams have been linked with atleast 20 players that they can't all afford. So sit back relax and watch your team slots get filled.

I AGREE WITH MOST OF WHAT YOU HAVE SAID, THE THING I DO NOT AGREE WITH IS YOU MAKING OUT LIKE TORRES GOING TO BARCELONA IS A LONG SHOT, I WOULD SAY THERE IS JUST AS MUCH CHANCE AS HIM LEAVING AS THERE IS HIM STAYING! HE HAS NOT SAID ONCE THAT HE WANTS TO STAY AT LIVERPOOL, HIS AGENT HAS SAID "For the moment I can assure fans that Fernando will continue at Liverpool next season." THIS IS THE BIGGEST FOB OFF A LIVERPOOL FAN COULD GET FROM HIM YET 95% OF YOU WERE SUCKERED IN BY IT.

TORRES COULD END ALL SPECULATION AND COME OUT AND SAY "I'M STAYING" BUT HE REFUSES TO, HE IS OBVIOUSLY CONSIDERING HIS FUTURE AND IF I WAS A BETTING MAN I WOULD SAY HE WILL LIKELY SIGN FOR BARCELONA THIS SEASON, ESPECIALLY IF A TAKEOVER IS NOT IN SIGHT AND GERRARD LEAVES WHICH IS LIKELY AFTER THIS SHOCKING WORLD CUP, HE WILL WANT TO WIN SOMETHING BEFORE HE RETIRES, IF THESE THINGS HAPPEN THEN TORRES IS CERTAIN TO LEAVE.

ON THE OTHER HAND, IF A TAKEOVER IS QUICKLY APPROACHING AND THEREFORE GERRARD STAYS, THEN I BELIEVE TORRES WILL GIVE LIVERPOOL A MINIMUM OF ONE MORE YEAR, EDITOR HOW DO YOU SEE THIS STORY GOING? DOES IT SURPRISE YOU THAT SOME POOL FANS THING THAT ITS NOT ON THE CARDS? WITH ALL THE OTHER BARCA PLAYERS TAPPING HIM UP AS WE SPEAK AND WITH PLAYERS LEAVING LIVERPOOL AND NO TAKEOVER IN SIGHT SURELY HE IS MORE LIKELY TO LEAVE THAN STAY?

WHAT DO YOU THINK? {editor's note – Torres is more at risk because of the money he will raise than because of him wanting to leave. Things are a lot worse at the club than people realise, if a takeover is not completed soon there will have to be sales.}

Norwich will sign Kerrea Gilbert on a free transfer, beating Leicester to him who were set to sign him until Pearson agreed terms with Hull and the uncertainty over the managerial spot at Leicester made him change his mind.

Probably won't get posted as my stuff seems not to get posted anymore (I'm probably making them too long..) But I got a WHOLE STACK of rumours if you want them on here Ed:

–Romaric of Sevilla is wanted by Hercules (Newly promoted Primera Divison side). They're hopng the promise of regular first team football will land him. Sevilla has supposdly set a 4.5 Million Euro price tag on Romaric

–Adding on to my post about Barca using Alikasandr Hleb to try and help land Mesut Ozil (Did that get posted?), Barca are adding defender Henrique. The deal is shaping up to be: Hleb + Henrique to Bremen this season coming; Money to Bremen season after that, Ozil to Barcalona

–Terms have FINALLY been agreed for the transfer of Laurent Koscinely to Arsenal for 8.5 Million Pounds. He'll be earning 25,000 Pounds per week

–Zenit St. Petersburg is reportedly after Vincenzo Iaquinta but faces stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur.

–Inter Milan now want 6 Million Euro + XABI ALONOSO for Maicon if Real Madrid want to sign him. Inter wanted €35m for Maicon, but it seems the inclusion of Alonso could settle the argument for both teams.

–Bordeux coach Jean Tigana has hinted the need for a striker now that Maroune Chamahk is at Arsenal is now after David Trezeguet after he is tipped to leave Juventus this transfer season.

–Udinese after Napoli Striker German Dennis. See him as a new option up fron, especially if Alexis Sanchez leaves after his stellar form at the World Cup

–Mario Balloteli is pleased to hear that he's being linked to Arsenal BUT his agent says he's going nowhere fast (I REALLY HATE PLAYER AGENTS!)

–Osasuna right–back Cesar Azpilicueta has completed his transfer to Marseille. Deal worth 6 Million, possibly growing to 9.5 Million and Osasuna get a percentage of future sales

–Roma are keen on Valon Behrami of West Ham. Apparently, West Ham have set a 6 Million Euro Price tag on him

–Juve on verge of signing Marco Motta either on Loan or Co–Ownership from Udinese (Who only got him from Roma about a few days ago in a blind auction). Udinese are already looking to offload him permanently.

–Birmingham City are after Antonio Di Natale to partner Nikola Zigic up front. Udinese have slapped a 7 Million Pound price tag on him. The 2.5 Million per year wages are apparently hindering interest in him from Birmingham's coach Alex McLeish however.

–For all you Celtic fans out there (and I am not one), Du–Ri–Cha of South Koera and Frieburg, is set to undergo a medical at Celtic within the next couple of days.

I really hope this gets posted. This took a LONG TIME to type all down. Hope this helps some people

Ed, any thoughts about anything, just put somethin in

Roy Hodgson will not be the next LFC Manager, rumour has it that he will be approached for the England job and is holding out for the FA to sort out the Capello situation ie Compensation. Liverpool too have lost patience with Hodgson and are set to offer the job to Pelligrini or Rijkaard – LFC do not want to be managerless for when all international players return from the world cup.

Wolves are in a state of shock after Kevin Doyle expressed his desire to quit the club. He is not happy with the quality of players signed by Mick McCarthy and believes a relegation battle is a cert.
He believes all the players signed have been in and lost relegation battles before. He is now looking for a move to a club with a bit of ambition.

29 Jun 2010 12:12:17
To the numpty saying Ozil doesn't fit into chelsea and only united, we just lost deco and joe cole, 2 attacking mids, and what chelsea have been lacking so bad is a creative playmaker – in a diamond ozil fits perfect at the tip and lamps on the right. and with the 4 3 3 they been playing ozil can still 100% have a big role in the team ozil, lamps and essien the the middle!

Also i read that Suarez has had a pre agreement to sign with chelski for ages

29 Jun 2010 11:54:47
Leeds United are interested in signing Charlton Athletic's Lloyd Sam, sccording to the player's agent. The Leeds–born winger, 25, is available on a free, which sounds about right for us! Palace, Coventry and Leicester are all interested. Given he was born in Leeds, this could help swing the deal.

OLD FIRM FANS

do me a favour and scroll to the top of the page what does it say?ah yess football rumors!!!
stop embarrasing all decent old firm fans by bringing religeon into this.no wonder the rest of britain laugh at us .i mean 3 guys arguing over whether a player is protestant or catholic or from londonderry or derry .fck OFF! ITS THE SAME PLACE!!!
the reason gibson won't come to gers or celtic is he is too highly rated by saf maybe if he dosent fulfill his potential we may have a chance in years to come .hes not like obertan or wellbeck he looks totally at home in the epl and can cope with the rigors of that league no problem.
obertan was signed and sealed for the gers in january (common knowledge up here)but the bank pulled the plug on us getting him as we couldnt afford the 8k contrabution to his wages man u were looking for'it might happen this summer but i have my doubts as saf might think that carling cup and 10/15 mins off the bench is as good as a season in the spl.
i personally don't like loan signings unless there is a genuine chance of getting the player at the end of the deal like we did with davis.

what i have heard signings wise

nudgent 1.5m
conway 750k
mcarthur 800k

remember fellow bears the 5mill includes new contracts for weir and broadfoot so not much change left now possible enough for a couple of bosmans.although have heard some chat about a mid level prem star coming on loan but don't have a name yet.

Not really a rumour just a bit of realism and possibly insight into the likely time frame for a Liverpool takeover. Hopefully this is based on logic and the following assumptions. I know post if posted this will piss off some on the forum but tough I'm sending it anyway.

Assumptions:
1 – When H&G bought LFC debt was not created – they said they weren't "doing a Glazers".
2 – Some point afterwards H&G borrowed a stack of cash using LFC as security (although the bulk of this money has never been seen by the playing side of the club).
3 – If H&G default on the debt then the club will either be the property of the lenders or go into administration and H&G will leave with nothing.
4 – Currently H&G are hoping to take a good profit on a sale which will clear the debt in the process.
5 – Any prospective buyer will be aware of the above but with more accuracy and detail.

If the above assumptions are anywhere near correct then any buyer is not likely to do the deal until defaulting on the debt is imminent or H&G drop their asking price to reflect their predicament. They may even allow the club to go into administration and then pick up the club at the lowest possible price.

This is why Broughton (a Chelsea fan) has been employed to run the process. A Liverpool fan would put the future of the club and the mental health of the fans into the equation. To Broughton the fans are only important as customers. The only thing that matters in the takeover process is money.

I think we will see brinkmanship happening with the very real possibility that Liverpool will going into administration and then a buyer will come in pick up the club for the cost of paying off the creditors.

To sum up
1 – No takeover this year
2 – Administration likely during the 2010/11 season
3 – No European football in 2011/12 season
4 – Possible relegation battle brought on by points deductions for administration
5 – Long term future brighter as H&G gone, debts paid off and investment in the club for a new ground

This tallies with what Broughton is reported to have said regarding Torres not winning anything at Liverpool in next three years, and with Kenny's focus on buying young talent to rebuild for 2013 and beyond.

Thoughts? Comments? Ed – you have a realistic view, do you think this is a fair assessment.

Bob {editor's note – to a degree correct, except that the debts were placed on the parent company, not Liverpool itself. That doesn't mean that the club can't end up in administration but it does mean that it is less likely. More likely is the sale of players to lower debt, the likes of Torres, Gerrard and Mash will fetch a lot of money.}

Liverpool's Christian Purslow attracting media attention

29 June 2010
If he is appointed get behind him

29 Jun 2010 11:42:07
Rumours man utd!!

Man utd i believe will sign one of oezil or sniejder as they are the obvious replacements for scholes oezil is worrying as he has not been heavily linked with united as some people have(sniejder, silva, milner) but then again 2/3 will most likely be at city and when do united sign people that have been heavily linked i can olny remember berbatov and valencia?
So i think there ins and outs will be

Fabiano 12–15mill i think SAF will not go higher than 15 mill as he knows it is fabianos last year and sevilla cannot be to picky.

Oezil 18–20 mill as also he is in his last year and what makes him go to united is that he does not fit in at any other major club a worry is if arsenal loose fabregas he could be a choice so I hop SAF signs him quick.

OUts

Carrick spurs 12 mill
Foster3 mill
5 players been released

"Ozil fits in perfectly in the united system with united needing an attacking mid who can interchange with nani on the left. Also he is reasonably priced and bremen cannot hold teams to ransom as he is in the last year of his contract. Also united were the first team to inquire about him and made a concrete bid in jan which was accepted but ozil didn't want to move before the WC. Also he has spoken about a move to man united to german radio station. The links to chelsea and man city are just coming only after the his performances at the WC with media linking all players doing well at WC to chelsea and city. Truth is they have not scouted him enough to make a bid and negotiations with united are at a very advanced stage. The only thing that may make him change his mid will be barcelona coming calling as he is a huge barcelona fan and dreams of playing for them but they do not see him breaking the iniesta xavi partnership and the only player they want is fabregas."

"doesn't change the fact that ozil will sign for bayern munich.i heard it in one of the bundesliga commentory during a match.b.munich had their sights on ozil & marin.still they do.you did't hear him saying that in the radio.did you??it was a report in the radio&they did not interview him actually.the deal at the advanced stage is with munich.putting salt to your wounds, j.s park is leaving.(may be even you heard it in the world cup commentories).although there's 90% possibility of man utd sign sanchez.theres not even 10% possibility that man utd or any other premier league clubs signing him..afterall he fits well in anyside doesn't imply he will sign for all teams.."

1.Any REALISTIC United squad must consist of antonio valencia! He has been our second best player after wayne rooney who has said that he would not have scored as many goals if valencia's superb crosses had not found his shaved patch accurately! Rooney loves playing with valencia and even SAF is impressed by valencia as he gives the full back the opportunity to overlap as valencia is defensively aware!

2. Any REALISTIC united squad for premier league games will be a 4–4–2 with berbatov alongside rooney. Hernandez has done well but will not come straight into the first team.

3. Why do we need chiellini? I have watched juve and united and johnny evans has looked a better defender than chiellini! If vidic leaves SAF will put evans straight in alongside rio, but i seriously doubt vidic leaving.

My realistic united squad will be with only 2 signings those of ozil and cole. United did bid for ozil in jan, and he has spoken to a german radio about joining united. He will not cost more than 25mil. and with the money from sales of foster and anderson or carrick united will not have spent much but improved significantly.

Man United fans your just as bad as us Liverpool one's! I've seen some pretty ridiculous rumours on here, but recently it is getting slightly out of hand. You WILL NOT be signing 4–5 players, you's are in around a billion debt and can't afford it. Rumours of Akinfeev, Chiellini, Lahm are purely fantasy. Man United will bring in a CM as Ferguson has already stated, Luis Fabiano will not join, in fact I've heard rumours of him being Arsenal bound, but it is a rumour. Those deluded mancs will be thinking "Oh centre mid, got to be Wesley Sneijder!" No, your wrong.. again! it will be, from what I've heard Mesut Ozil. He's a quality, pacy player and could be picked up for around £14m.

Liverpool news sees no takeover anywhere near, as I've been saying while the other deluded one's have been saying July. It will happen in 2011, when though is beyond me. Thankfully some good new out of Anfield however is that Capello WILL be leaving England by mutual consent. He will take around £9m to leave and thank the lord Roy Hodgson will be new England manager. Redknapp doesn't want to leave Spurs and wants to see their CL campaign go well under him, England missed their chance when appointing McLaren over him. The Liverpool manager remains a mystery, but I can personally see it being Pellegrini who has a good track record with Real Madrid and Villarreal. If not I reckon Kenny will be interim manager until new owners are in place to pick their own man.

Chiellini has been offerd a new deal by juvnetus so no one will be signing him
wesley sneijder won't leave a treble winning inter for united so stop dreaming
looks as if barca have turned their attention to ozil rather then fabregas because hes cheaper
koscienly has signed for arsenal for 8.5 million, with eduardo set to leave arshavin will take his place up front, with joe cole or piotr trochkowski of hamburg coming in.diakhete, richards, jan vertonghen or mertesaker look possible defensive signings for arsenal with van der wiel coming in IF sagna leaves. schwazer will sign next week for 3.5 million.

To the person who asked this:

29 Jun 2010 00:56:48
I remember capello contract talks, he already had 4 years they just removed an escape clause.

Bookies favourite replacement is Harry Redknapp followed by Roy Hodgson and Stuart Pearce.

Hope this helps.

Err I think you will find Ozil has been tracked by Chelsea for the last 2 years. Read the newspaper articles. Chelsea's interest in the player far outdates the more recent interest of Manchester United and Arsenal. So please do not boast otherwise.

Hi it's the chef from the toon again. Has there been more transfer talk. As the only thing I have been told about is that forest player majawski heading north. And we don't do buttys mate it's 5 star food in Newcastle.

Mate, if you had even a handful of brain cells you would know that it is Majewski not Majawski.. you have wrote majawski in all 3 of your comments from 'Forest fans'. Just goes to show how dry the transfer market must be at the toon..

Stick a pasty in the oven for when Notts County come up north to play you in the championship next year won't ya mate!!

Cheers

Editor, can you shed any light on the Gary Hooper saga {editor's note – All I know is that, for some reason, he is hot property and that Scunthorpe have received a lot of enquiries. Just some rumours I've come across

– Genoa are REPORTEDLY targeting 2 Ghanian players in Kevin Prince Boatang (Portsmouth) and Anthony Annan (Rosenborg in Norway) to sign. It could be true but I'm not too sure how either of these players would fare in Siera A.

–Man City are REPORTEDLY preparing a 100 MILLION EURO triple swoop for:
–28 MILLION – Yaya Toure (Barcalona)
–30 MILLION – David Silva (Valencia)
–42 MILLION – Edin Dzeko (Wolfsburg) (Note: This wasn't listed on the site. I just estimated using the other 2 prices. Sorry if my math is wrong.

As a result of this exuberent spending, Man City are prepared to give up their chase for James Milner (Aston Villa)

Source: goal.com (For both)

Ed, any thoughts about either of the things I've said?
Zahn {editor's note – I don't believe City would decide against buying anyone due to amounts spent. If they think the player will improve their first team then they will try and buy him. This year is the last chance they have to spend obscene amounts before the new European competition rules come in.}

To the one who said this"While I appreciate all of the people suggesting ManUtd starting XI for next season, it is beyond me to think any of u are Utd supporters. This is bc you leave Fletcher out of your lineups. After Rooney, Fletcher is the second automatic selection when available, and not Hargreaves or any new signings will unseat him."

Very well said! people even leaving out valencia and putting in sanchez! LOL! People please stop linking united to wingers, strikers, defensive midfielders and cener backs because united already have a plenty and need a playmaker in the center midfield.

Roy Hodgson is in Liverpool now as we speak entering final negotiations to take the reins at Anfield. Expect an announcement to be made either late today (Tuesday), or anytime on Wednesday confirming his appointment with a prerss conference being called at Anfield for 4.30pm Thursday.

There may be something surprising about to happen along with this appointment. The Liverpool board are in discussions with Kenny Dalglish and want him to become part of the managerial set up, working alongside Hodgson in an assistant manager type role. Now I know a lot of Liverpool fans may mock this idea as he was a leading candidate to become the next manager but it is understood that the Liverpool board want a coaching team with a passion and desire to help Liverpool become a force again and by having figures like Dalglish and Sammy Lee who both have that passion for the club, they desire will have a detrimental influence on the players. If this can be agreed, Sammy Lee will again take up a position of first team coach, if it cannot be agreed, Dalglish will remain at the club in his current capacity and Lee will continue as assistant. Expect Rafa Benitez to approach Liverpool with compensation amounts for key coaches he appointed and expect Hodgson to approach Fulham for key members of his backroom staff.

On to transfers. The intention of the Liverpool board is to keep hold of the following players;

Pepe Reina
Glen Johnson
Jamie Carragher
Daniel Agger
Javier Mascherano
Steven Gerrard
Fernando Torres

Any other player could leave Liverpool should the right offer come in. Although this has been promised previously to Rafa it will happen this time..All money raised from transfers WILL be re–invested back into the squad.
Hodgson would love to sign Joe Cole on a free and wanted to for Fulham but was scuppered by Cole's insistance that Fulham were not big enough to fulfil his ambitions. Now, Liverpool are in dire straits at the moment but apparently, due to the clubs stature and history in World football, Cole could move to Anfield should a good offer come around. Another free signing Hodgson could look at is Thierry Henry. Henry is great mates with Steven Gerrard and has always insisted that Anfield is the best stadium in Britain for the fans and the atmosphere and he would love to feel that as a Liverpool player. That was said before he signed for Barca, therefore, do not rule this out.
Although ther finances are looking bleak, the future is strating to look brighter for Liverpool and with new ownership in place before the end of the year, next summer could potentially be the biggest in Liverpool history.

29 Jun 2010 09:18:18
Fabio Capello is expected to be sacked in the next two weeks! Harry Redknapp is likley to take over after he said he wouldn't turn down a chance to manage his country which i can understand but i would like to see him doing well with spurs in the champions league even though im a leeds fan, if he leaves for england then Roy Hodsgon will become the spurs boss, if Harry Redknapp chances his mind about england, the FA would then turn to Rodsgon for Capello's succsessor, there the two best english managers and we want a english manger! , also Sven Gorrain Erikson will become the new Liverpool manager FACT!

To the person that said nobody had heard of Ozil untile the world cup, you obviously are'nt that much of a football fan. ANYBODY who previously watced Germany win the U21's competition where they beat ENGLAND would have been aware of him. I do agree though that any rumours linking him with anyone are obviously unfounded (unless all the people on this site happen to have sat and watched the world cup next to Alex Ferguson, Wenger etc). I thought this site was for rumours that people have heard not ones they want to make up!

Real rumour is that Manchester United have been tracking Alexis Sanchez for a while although both Chelsea and City are prepared to outbid them

Fact – Di Maria is off to Madrid

How is it possible to believe that Hargreaves will play a part for Man Utd next season? Be realistic! He is finished!
Anyway, got som news from Norway:
Vadim Demidov is a free agent from October. Both french, spanish and english clubs following him. Definetly good enough for PL. Ballwinning mf or defender.
Marcus Pedersen, 20 yr old powerfull attacker broken through this season. Solskjær at United follows him. He will be sold this window. Congratulation till the club that gets him. England next for him I guess!
Jo Inge Berget, Per Skjelbred and Erik Huseklepp also norwegians ready for next step in their career. All of them followed by english scouts. Watch out for these names in PL soon!

29 Jun 2010 00:17:00
Just been talking to nigel Pearson and phil babb and Pearson is going to be hull manager with babb his no.2. I live next too hull training ground and they were having a look around.

Liverpool to appoint Roy hodgeson as manager on Thursday with king kenny as director of football. Steven gerrard to stay one more year cos of kenny been in charge of tranfers.

If Hodgson becomes Liverpool Manager it will be a backward step. And more importantly, it means there's no take over in sight. Whoever is appointed the new manager will allow us a glimpse of what's really happening. If it's Hodgson then it means we're in a mess. With top world cup coaches now out of jobs (Lippi, Eriksson, Capello?) it only means we just can't afford them. It appears we can't even afford Rijkaard even though he only has one year on his contract left.

I really want to be positive here but despite all the positive talk from Blair Mayne, Mr/Mrs Broughton and the dude from India I just don't know if it's true. I'm feeling GUTTED with this Hodgson news. ED, help me out here. Is it true or can BBC be wrong??

Studmuffin {editor's note – I don't think they are wrong, sorry mate but it doesn't look like the takeover is happening any time soon.}

To the idiot who said this:– "
Err – I think you will find that it is Chelsea, not Man Utd, that is looking at Ozil, Muller & Schweinsteiger !"

It is not new for chelsea to be linked with every united target. Firstly muller will not move to any team. Schweinsteiger is a chelsea target and never was or will be a united target which you have correctly pointed out.
But the interesting one is ozil. Why will he be a chelsea target? Where will he play in that team? Lampard plays in attacking mid which is ozil's favoured position. On the left wing malouda has been brilliant last season so carlo will not leave him out. And Carlo likes to play drogba in the center with malouda on the left and anelka or kalou on the right. That may change to aguero or any other striker on the right but i don't see ozil fitting into that chelsea system at all and he will certainly not move to be sitting on the bench.
Ozil fits in perfectly in the united system with united needing an attacking mid who can interchange with nani on the left. Also he is reasonably priced and bremen cannot hold teams to ransom as he is in the last year of his contract. Also united were the first team to inquire about him and made a concrete bid in jan which was accepted but ozil didn't want to move before the WC. The links to chelsea and man city are just coming only after the his performances at the WC with media linking all players doing well at WC to chelsea and city. Truth is they have not scouted him enough to make a bid and negotiations with united are at a very advanced stage. The only thing that may make him change his mid will be barcelona coming calling as he is a huge barcelona fan and dreams of playing for them but they do not see him breaking the iniesta xavi partnership and the only player they want is fabregas.

Majewski was only bought in May, so I don't see why he would leave three months later.. Any other NUFC rumours? I hope we get Kris Boyd but Turkey looks promising for him.

Heres a shocker
according to caughtoffside.com harry redknapp is ready to bid for micheal carrick and is willing to offer pavlyuchenko plus cash to sign him
i want man utd fans opinions on this

source caughtoffside"

It is a shocker, but its caughtoffside what did you expect? People on this site are more accurate and make more sensible posts! Secondly bids are made only when the club believes there is a chance to be accepted, and i don't think harry redknapp after all his experience in management will be foolish enough to make such a bid which will not even be considered worth discussing. I guess this is one of the posts which the ed has published just for the humour. Right ed? {editor's note – yeah, you got me, I think there is more chance of me turning out for Everton than this deal happening.}

Australian Transfer Rumours:

Harry Kewell has been offered a 1 year extension at Galatasary however he is looking for a 2 contract. There is interest from England, Spain and Italy. Expect Harry to move to Spain as he has always had a desire to play there.

Other potential moves for other Aussies include:

Holman – Middlesbrough / Blackburn
Bresciano – Back to Parma or Middle East
Grella – potentially Galatasary but talks have stalled
Kennedy – Championship Club
Valeri – move from Serie B to Serie A club

To the idiot that said this:

"29 Jun 2010 00:13:02
At the Liverpool Press Office tonight, after most journalists had left, I had a discussion with one of the board members regarding what is happening with the club this summer, namely regarding key players (I am a Sports Journalist after all, it's my job to ask)He was quite forward and told me the news that, Fernando Torres will enter negotiations over personal terms after the World Cup with Barcelona.

Barcelona enquired last week, regarding Liverpool's price tag for Torres, they were informed of Liverpool's £50 million valuation of the player. They opened bidding at £40 million, and by Monday night a fee was agreed for £44 million. £20 million will be paid up front, with Atletico Madrid receiving 10% of the sale price.

I was immediately surprised with how £44 million would have been accepted, however he explained that that was the predicament they were in. They had interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Inter Milan also. However, Barcelona had been sounding out Torres' agents from March, and they had made it clear he would only move to Barcelona. They played this to their strength wonderfully in negotiations, and Christian Purslow felt it was the best deal for all parties involved, with him now able to offer a new manager a £15 million transfer budget as a result of the sale, with more of the money also coming later in installments.

Just to gauge some opinion, how do Liverpool fans feel about this? Editor, what are your views on what has happened?"

Just a few points.

You are obviously lying because just like the editor pointed out you would have put this in whatever rag you claim to work for first.

Also the likelihood of a board member hanging around after any meeting and openly discussing transfer dealings with some toe–rag journo is zero.

And finally, if LFC decide to sell Torres, and so many clubs are chasing him, 50mill is nowhere near what they'll be looking for, especially with the 2 greedy yanks in charge.

At least try to make up plausible stuff when coming on here.

The Wallet.

Manchester United are releasing five of their youngsters, two of them are keepers, Tom Heaton and Zieler, with Foster also leaving could United be looking to bring in a new keeper this summer?

With United releasing five players and Tosic & Foster already gone could this mean there is seven spaces to fill? Dodo & Vermijl will take up two spots in the reserves, Hernandez and Smalling will take up two more spots so could there be three more spaces up for grabs? Possibly one biggish signing and two young academy players?

"INS–around these prices
Fabiano–21mil
ozil–25mil
sneijder–25mil
kjaer–12mil
Cost–around 80mil"

Fabiano going to Milan, Ozil to Bayern, Sneijder nowhere why would he leave a treble winning club for United?"
Kjaer is going to Spurs with Cavani. All wrong, sorry.

fabiano has said he would rather the prem so y milan if he wants to join man u a prem team y would bayern sign ozil they have ribery and robben i doubt he would want to sit on the bench its not the most likely transfer i do admit sneijder will probably join because of a few reason if he has ever watched man u playthis season he will no hes wat hey need mourinho has suggested it to him as a destination if he was to leave sneijder has also said he want to play in the worlds top 3 lge (serie A la liga prem) benitez doesn't see him fitting into his plans i don't see y?? but he doesn't and i doubt he would refuse a 25mil offer he wants his own player mash kuyt etc and he needs the funds for them all and sneijder did say he wants to play for man u in his career kjaer club has accepted spurs bid but maybe he won't wanna go its unlikely spurs will be in the champs lge after next season city with all there money will be sadly kjaer could come to because he knows man u would be in it for many years to come but i do think only 2 of these will join sneijder and fabiano i think the left winger will come in 2011 –––ronan

Lets get these ozil rumours right no–one had heard of him until the world cup and i think you will find that if theres any new talent in germany THEY SIGN FOR BAYERN MUNICH? they don't go abroad? so all you wishful thinkers out there carry on dreaming he will be at munich. hodgsen is going to be the new liverpool manager? the only way it won't happen is if he goes to england. and finally man utd will not buy anyone unless vidic goes they are happy with there squad the only way this might change is if hargreaves dosent make it back to full fitness? they are relying on youth! THE GUVNOR

I have something that may be of intrest to lfc suporters regarding a takeover, this is not realy a rumour about such just what i heard from my son. i am based in south carolina usa he works as i financial consultent indirectly linked to george gillete. we have seen on this site that a takeover is being held up because tom hicks wants a share of future revenue and the building of a new stadium. he told me if this was so then G.G would also be involved and IT IS NOT SO .G.G has the same involvment as hicks and there is nothing comeing this side of the pond that would sugest a takeover is iminent. im not saying it wont, just that if it is , then there are legal people here who would get to Know, even if they are NOT directly involved, its his job and has his finger on the pulse so to speak and he knows nothing.
So if a takeover is iminent it is so hush hush that i doubt that the normal ITK people would know, as it would be nothing short of impossible for these lawyers not to know.

Best wishes to all the teams in the Epl this season

Martin

Inter are looking at Melo.. Why would he even ponder Arsenal with Inter crawling around?

Leon Osman isn't one of Everton's best players, he hardly even gets to start, doesn't sub in much. He'd leave for at most 3m.

If you were a sports journo, you would be putting it somewhere you could get paid for posting it not on an open forum. He very well might join Barca in the summer, but nothing has been agreed yet, Purslow can't sign off anything without agreement from both owners and those two won't agree on anything right now.}

Believe me angel di maria has not signed for real madrid why would they sell him for 25million euros when they are asking other clubs for 40million euros like man u if these is true then it is fixed and madrid will pay add ons up to 20million for 100th game, best player of the year etc

ITS 100% TRUE, HE HAS SIGNED FOR REAL MADRID FOR A MERE 20M STERLING, I TOLD PEOPLE TO FORGET ABOUT HIS 38M BUY OUT CLAUSE AS HE WILL END UP GOING FOR AROUND 20M. SANCHEZ WILL GO FOR A SIMILAR PRICE REGARDLESS OF HIS GREAT WORLD CUP PERFORMANCES, WITH DI MARIA SIGNING FOR REAL, MATA SIGNING FOR BARCELONA AND SILVA SIGNING FOR CITY, MANCHESTER UNITED HAVE A GREAT CHANCE TO SIGN THIS PRODIGY. AS HE IS A BIG UNITED FAN, UNITED WILL HAVE NO PROBLEM CONVINCING HIM TO JOIN.
