Apparently Liverpool are ALMOST certain to sign Atletico forward Sergio Aguero within the next two weeks. Benitez has insisted that Atletico do not make this interest public – hence Atleticos recent 'willingness' to listen to any offers for their player.
£28m is the price Benitez is prepared to pay, which is nowhere close to atleticos £40m valuation. Fortunately for Benitez, Aguero is very keen to manufacture a move to his preferred destination – Liverpool.
(deja vu for atletico who lost Fernando Torres in a very similar fashion two years ago)

Rumours regarding his wage demands last week are completely untrue – and if he is to arrive at Anfield, he most certainly will not be on parity with Torres / Gerrard.
To the fella who suggested he'd seen Kieren Westwood at Forest's ground. . lay off the halucinogens. .the lads on honeymoon still. . he may well be drooping in to Finch Farm for a chat with Moyes on his return. . apparently.

He's likely to bump into Jauo Mutinho and Stephane M'Bia. Last two at an advanced stage.

Hibernian Update

I'am cousins with Ross Tokley and he tell me that new hibernian manager has already been in touch with him about a move to Hibs. I have also heard that Hibs are considering a move for out of contract falkirk striker Steven Lovell as a possible replacement for Steven Fletcher.

  Nottingham forest news:–
paul anderson to sign this week along with mills and mcgoldrick. the rumours on westwood are rubbbish, coventry want about 4 million for him, and forest won't spend that much on a player mckenna and gunter have been in nottingham this week to discuss terms but with mark arthur doing the deals who knows. lee camp has all but signed, and blackstocks price still has'nt been agreed. lynch will sign with thornhill going on loan to brighton for the season. adebola and jones have already signed and will be announced on the first of july.
To the bloke who wrote :
Hull Citys Ins/Outs
(Ins) Marc–Antoine Fortune £2.5m from Nancy / Kevin Nolan £5m from Newcastle / Michael Owen Free transfer from Newcastle / Frazier Campbell £6m from Manchester Utd / Manucho £5.5m from Manchester Utd /
Darius Vassell free transfer from Man City / Scott Mcdonald from Celtic £7.5m
(Outs) Craig Fagan to Sunderland £5m / Richard Garcia to Adelaide United Free transfer

Nolan wouldn't cost £5m, Owen will never sign for Hull, Manucho is worth £5 not £5m, McDonald was a made up story by the Daily Record and Fagan isn't worth £5m.
SHOCKING NEWS: arsene wenger has finally decided to spend big and has agreed to a 28 million pounds deal for the winger ribery and nasri will join bayern in a (swop plus money deal.) arsenal beat man u to ribery as ribery wants to work with wenger.FROM RELIABLE SOURCE.

First of all i am an arsenal fan and read arsene say that we can not compete with the other top 4 in the transfer market as we don't have the funds. then i read "Gunners join Benzema chase" and "Gunners in for Ribery" both of these are worth 30mil at least so where are the funds coming from or is arsene simply playing mind games saying we only have little funds. also i seem to remember usmonov (spelling) saying we need to buy big so manybe he is pumping funds in for transfers?? a posibility??
As tottenham are selling there players they are also bringing in some top class players the key man is huntalar it looks like spurs will win the race to sign the young talented player for a price fee of around 13.6m but spainsh side madrid are not giving up and letting him go that easy
Barnsley Boy set the Adam from Rangers to Barnsley rumour off well he's wrong again what I understand Barnsley are after a player from Leeds.
Quack, Quack.
Liverpools new managing director Christian Purslow is in advanced talks with Spanish investors who are willing to invest a large sum of money to partly fund the building of the new stadium. They will acquire @ 30% of the club. My sources tell me he has been negotiating with the banking group Santander for a number of months with this deal and everything is all but agreed which is why he has been named temporary MD. An announcement will not be made until August after which he will revert to a different role. No player rumours, but with this deal in place and the refinancing of the loan with RBS and friends complete I expect at least one BIG signing sooner rather than later.

ok this is what i have heard from a couple of different sources yesterday so don't get exited if they contradict each other
There are whispers going around that say Liverpool hav a 22 million bid accpetd by Valencia for the services of David Silva. According to reports Silva also has agreed a deal in principle with the club and only has to travel to Liverpool for a medical and to finalize the deal after the confd. cup third place play off. if reports are to be believed Silva will become the Third highest earner at the club behing Gerrard and Torres.
Liverpool were in contact with Juventus yesterday enquiring about David Trezeguets price tag. Liverpol are willing to add Dossena as part of the deal so keep an eye out for this.
Liverpool are also in contact with Marselles regarding Ben Arfas availability and are hoping to snatch up the player under the noses of all the big boys.
Diogo of Olympiakos,Defour of Standard Liege,Johnson of Boro and nicholas Lodrio of Nacional were all subjects of Liverpool enquiers this week.

Benzema=Is off to Real Madrid for 20 mil+ and players weaknees of the sterling against the euro meant this deal was always un–likely.

Valencia=A done deal for just over 15 million expect offical news in day or two.

Augero=Astronomical demands from both the club and the player have hindered any hope for this deal.

Dodo and costa are close to completing moves with work permit issues the only major hurdles.

Over inflation of the market remains a worry for Fergie and he is determined not for the club too be fleeced expect faith in youth to be prevalent this season with quality youngsters like Tosic,Lijlec(after in arrives in January),Wellbeck and Maceda all featuring.

Man City are very close to signing Eto and making him the best payed player in the world(including Ronaldo's contract with Real Madrid) Tevez to city is signed and sealed.

Liverpool will push hard for David Silva or Juan Mata IF Xabi Alonso signs for Real adrid IF not Liverpool only signing will be G.Johnson
I have also heard that naughton is going to villa, lescott will also sign for man city for £15 million along with tevez, david bentley will leave spurs to villa, joe ledley will join everton for around £4million
Just heard that MuFc are close to signing Douglas Costa of Gremio for 14mil this means that he will Costa lot(Getit?)
Others ins at Old Trafford
Karim Benzema–4 pounds and sixpence
Valencia(Antonio not the spanish club)–608 billion Zimbabwean dollars(roughly 20 quid)

Thats all for now
To the guy who said he saw Jermain Beckford at the Walkers stadium whilst driving home from work I would like to confirm Beckford is in progressive talks with Blackburn Rovers. Sam Alladyce is looking for a bargain signing and Beckford fits the bill. He would cost around 1.5million. This still leaves Alladyce with plenty of his £18mill to splash out.

Lescott is set to resist a move to Man City but Everton could be tempted with the prospect of 18million and Richard Dunne.

Benzema is set to snub Man United to join Arsenal. Arsenal are willing to splash out and due to the french connection (no pun intended) Benzema favours the capital. This is because Real Madrid cannot afford to splash out much more after persuing the capture of David Villa.

Juan Matta or Rossi are set to join Liverpool in forthcoming weeks.
West ham considering moves for – fabricio Coloccini from Newcastle and Jonathan Greening from WBA
If Alonso and Masch stay, there will only be one more signing at LFC – Joe Cole! He can fill in for Gerrard and if Torres is injured, Kuyt goes to striker with Cole on the wing. If Torres and Kuyt both injured, we're screwed.
It is almost certain that Scott McDonald is on his way out Celtic park to Hull City for what is an unbelievable amount of £5 million. Mowbray knows McDonald has never been forgiven by a large section of Celtic supporters for celebrating like he had won the European cup when he scored two goals against Celtic to cost them the league in a meaningless game for his then club Motherwell. It is also well known that no–one in the Celtic team like playing with him for his lacking ability to pass the ball at any point in the game and his ability to bring the dressing room down with his constant moaning. With the fact that he was one of Strachan's goldenboys (along with McManus) Mowbray is keen to move him and McManus along. Finally as Paddy McCourt was not signed by Strachan but Dermot Desmond, and thus hardly featured at all, the first thing Mowbray was handed was a glowing report of the attacking midfielder by reserve coach Willie McStay and Neil Lennon. Mowbray alson tried to sign him for his previous club. He will save the club millions and will be the second name on the team sheet after Aiden McGeady.

Sheffield Wednesday – Tudgay will be sold this week to Burnley for £1.85m to cover the shortfall in season ticket sales. Having set a budget and target for 16,500 tickets, we are over 4,000 short and with committments already made to the new guys on wages, something has to give. Gutted.

Valencia deal to be announced by Man Utd very soon. Benzema is 50–50 now since Madrid are also interested, therefore Sir Alex is looking at Sergio Aguero now. expect a really big shock signing in July. even my sources don't know the name and its been kept under wraps quite tightly by Sir Alex, all they know is tht its huge.

Young Polish Striker R. Lewandowski is being closely watched by Celtic. Celtic are weighing up a bid for the promising striker who could be a bargain buy.
Mowbray is also looking for an experienced striker and could go for James Beattie who could fulfill his potential in SPL and be a threat in europe.

  Arsenal FC
Arsene will bid £35m for Benzema if Adebayor leaves for AC Milan.
A bid of £30m+Bendtner has been offered for Ribery.
Sakho will be signed if any first team defender leaves the Emirates.
Felipe Melo is the top target for that holding midfeilder role with the likely transfer being £8m+Senderos, if that fails Arsene will then look at Cana or even Flamini returning part of the Adebayor deal.

Take this information as you want, as I may be in the wrong. However, whilst travelling back from London I swear I saw Franck Ribery in the passenger seat of a black bentley on (I think) the M25. Now i was sleepy and the cars were moving quickly but if this is the case is a move to London on the cards? THIS RUMOUR WAS POSTED ON FOOTBALL RUMOURS ON THE 20TH JUNE BY SOMEONE––– NOW ON SUNDAY 28TH JUNE ––– THE SUNDAY NEWSPAPER DAILY STAR SAYS THISARSENAL have entered the race to land French ace Franck Ribery – for a club record £40million.

Liverpool Football Club Arab takeover latest.

KUWAITI'S AND DUBAI SET FOR ANFIELD TAKEOVER.

There have been a lot of rumours about a Dubai takeover, and the validity of what has been posted on here about it. Dubai are involved, but so are Kuwait.

It is understood that Tom Hicks does not want to sell to Dubai whatsoever, and sees the Al Kharafi family as a viable alternative.

George Gillett favours a sale to Dubai.

What neither know is that Sheikh Mohammed has talked about investment in Liverpool alongside Nasser Al Kharafi as part of the Kuwaitai consortium. The Kuwaiti consortium will take over Liverpool first, and will sell a stake to Sheikh Mohammed thereafter, but the Al Kharafi's will build the new stadium. What is unclear is the other members of the Kuwaiti consortium, because many a rich Kuwaiti took interest in this group the moment the news broke, and Dubai took a large interest in this. However, Kuwait agreed not to allow Dubai into the group due to an agreement signed with Liverpool's owners to release the names of the people into the consortium to them and Liverpool's financiers in RBS and Wachovia.

This would not stop investment from Dubai later on though.

The Dubai rumour is genuine. The Kuwait rumour is genuine. The Spanish group rumour is not genuine. It is a mere sponsorship opportunity.
Joe Cole to sign for Man City by Tuesday from Chelsea £20 million.
  Hola from Madrid!

Aston Villa poised to make a double swoop for Maxi Rodriguez and Heitinga. Van Der Vaart will be joining that club also.

Tottenham Hotspur may sign Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Man city will not be signing carlos tevez as they have put in a bid in for samuel eto'o. this means the only english team left for tevez is chelsea. the reason is simple, because hughes cnnot play all the stars at the same time for example why would he chase santa cruz for 1 year then spend £18mill on him so he can sit his ass on the bench.
arsenal transfers
if toure leaves–agger or mexes, maybe lescott
when gallas leaves–steven taylor, bassong, most likely sahko
fab's partner– melo top target, veloso, fellaini, gago
if ade leaves– huntelaar,benzema,dzeko,chamakh
but infront of all of these will be the signing of edn hazard. arsene has already signed an agreement which means he gets 1st dips on signing and he will not miss out on the chance of signing the best attacking talent in the world!!!!although he will spend next season on loan at lille.
BTW to the people saying that AW only has a kitty of £15mill the major shareholder has said that he will fund arsene if needed,
IN AW WE TRUST
Big story around the Emirates that Arsenal have joined Man United, Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race to sign £30m rated Lyon striker Karim Benzema. Now I know what you're all thinking, Arsene Wenger spend £30m on one player, don't be ridiculous. When I first heard this I thought the same, but when you think about it, it does make sense. The French element at Arsenal, with players like Clichy, Sagna, Diaby, Gallas, Silvestre and a very good friend of his Samir Nasri, as well as Mr Wenger himself would surely appeal to the foward. Benzema is said to be keen on staying one more season at the Stade Gerland to guarentee him a place in the France World Cup squad, but if he is playing alongside all of these France internationals then I see no problem. As far as the money goes, there will be no problem in financing this move, as the Arsenal board have always said that they have no problem in making as many funds available to Wenger as he needs, and have reportedly made available £40m to spend this summer. Add to this budget the fee that we could recieve for Adebayor (around £25m), and we would still have money left over for a defensive midfielder. Having Arsene Wenger and Samir Nasri at Arsenal could hold the key to Benzema opting to join Arsenal over any other club.

Watch this space,
In Arsene We Trust
I work under gazidis at arsenal and can tell you that arsenal will sign these 3 players

Phill Jagielka arsenal will have a 16 mil bid accepted and offer him 70k a week.

Franc Ribery wenger himself said he was going to sign 1 suprise player and its ribery for 30 mil plus bendtner onn a years loan.

Felipe Melo will sign in the next 5 days for 18 mil rising to 21 mil and recieve 70 k a week

  Football Rumours
Chelsea have made a 50 m bid for Pato but are awaiting an answer

Aston Villa are after Artur Boruc with a deal up to 3m

QPR hope to sign Wigan defender Emmerson Boyce for 2m

Arsenal want Gilberto from Panathanikos for 2m and Matthieu Flamini for 6m

Man City hope to sign Allesandro Nesta as he said he wants to quit as Kaka and Ancelotti have. Bayern Munich also want the defender

West Ham will make a shock move for Stewart Downing after Spurs gave up trying to sign him

Brazillian Ronaldo to Man City for 1.75 m

And finally Galatasaraay will sign Michael Ballack if Ancelotti will offload him
Huddersfield Town are set to sign Theo Robinson on Monday. Town are also in advance talks with a defender to fill the right back spot. Huddersfield are also interested bringing in Rickie Lambert from Bristol Rovers.
A rumour gathering pace amongst Evertonians is that Ashley Young is a £20m target of David Moyes. Now this one won't go away, and is made believable due to Young and MON not being on speaking terms (haven't spoken since MON lost the dressing room last season). Whether he moves to Everton might be down to whether SAF decides to make a bid for him. If he does, I rather think he'll chose the glamour of United. If he doesn't, I expect to see Young wearing blue next season (and not sky blue).
Steve Bruce will sign Peter Crouch, Robbis Keane and Craig Bellamy.

Bids accepted for Arron Lennon and the injured Stewart Downing and terms will be discussed this week.

Bruce will try to sign Habib Beye, Gary Neville and Sylvain Distin.

Bruce and Chairman Niall Quinn have discussed the possibility of luring David Beckham to the Stadium of Light on a very lucrative 2 year deal but no approach has yet been made.
  =================================================

CELTIC

Righty then, Fortune has been heavily reported to sign for Hull this weekend gone, however Celtic will make their personal offer on Monday 29th and Fortune is keen to hear it and has put off Hull until Monday. Celtic will meet his demands and that will be pushed through by Wednesday.
Vennegoor, Naylor and Scott McDonald to Burnley will free up funds for Fletcher. Hibs will accept a £2.8m deal.
Sean St.Ledger and Castillo are both still SERIOUS targets.
WILD CARD TIME – Bellamy on a one–year loan deal. The striker has never hid his affection for Celtic or the fact he would have stayed should Celtic have met demands with Newcastle's valuation – However Hughes has been warned to seriously reduce his wage bill and Bellamy heads a list of 'bargain–basement' baggage (as harsh as it sounds).
