He's on the radar of Bristol City � he has some top quality experience in Holland and playing in European competitions. Sonko and sttu also being targetted, hopefully City will get one of them, but lots of competition out there.

My take on it is that he wanted more money and thought he was going to be a star performer and get the teams to up their already ridiculously over the top offers for a player who has spent so much time on the treatment table in recent times. Now he will have to accept no one is going to offer him more and choose one of them, no idea which one though. The reason deals take so long for Arsenal are mostly down to the love of privacy they have, when it becomes public knowledge they are extremely unhappy and that causes real delays or the collapse of the deal altogether.}

Person who said that Van Der Wiel will cost 7.5m and Schwarzer 3m.. People really need to learn some prices. Ajax have little reason to sell VDW so he won't leave unless an offer of at least 9�12m is offered. Arsenal were already rejected with a 3.5m offer, so why would they lower it?

City:

Silva for 30m and Yaya for 24m set to come in. Milner won't be signing as he wants constant first team action. There won't be a Transfer Request. Toure will only sign when new Barcelona President takes over.
City are also looked to be losing Tevez to either Inter or Madrid this summer.

United:

Jefferson Montero will sign soon

Newcastle United:

Jonas committed to Newcastle. They've also raised the cap�wage to 35k a week.

Stoke City:

Looking at Ashley Williams and Joe Ledley. They could be losing Beattie for 2m and Tuncay for 4m, while looking at Piquionne for 1m at cut price from Lyon.

Sunderland:

West Ham United:

Given his performance in WC, the price of Ozil has rocketed to at least 20 mil euros. Also, Gourcuff will not leave for less than 20 mil euros. It'll be crazy for Wenger to sign these 2 players.

To the real rumours:
Arsenal is closing on Laurent Koscielny, fees will probably be 10 mil euros(hope he'll be quality signing just as Verminator).

Hope that we'll sign Micah Richards with the arrival of J.Boateng in Citeh, he'll be a good replacement for Sagna who is Italy bound, and also a good cover for the central defense.

Also, Joe Cole is up for grab. He has said "I want to get my future sorted as quickly as possible, " can't see him stays at Chelsea, which means he'll move to Arsenal or our rival Spurs.

I'm mates with the groundsman at Thorp Arch and he has told me that Leeds are lining up three medical's on Wednesday in what has be dubbed 'Signing Wednesday' around the club; after agreeing personal terms with George Boyd, Gary Hooper and Jay DeMerit who is out of contract. Leeds are also taking a 6 foot 6 inch Samoan centre half on trial from Australia, he will join the team on tour of Slovakia.

First off, I'm not a Rotherham fan (Barnsley is my team) but I like them and think Ronnie Moore is doing a great job with them � no he's not been sacked Ed.

As far as I know, they have to be in either a new stadium or back at Millmoor within four years. However, the landowners at Millmoor (bunch of nasty a�holes) want all their perks as well (including VIP space and hospitality at the new ground if it goes ahead).

These are bad people holding Rotherham back, and it's a bit like when Satan err.. Seyton Wills messed Swindon about before their new guy Fitton took over.

I don't know of Rotherham have the thumbs up on a new stadium, but whilst certain people are associated with them they're not going to move forward.

Regarding LFC's new Buyer and Manager this will only be announced once the world cup is complete. confidentiality agreements are in place with a handful players and board members at the club.

Liverpool interviewed 3 British Managers O'Neil, Hughes and Hodgson.

My Prediction is that Martin O'Neil will be the new Manager after Roy Hodgson refused this position.

Alright guys, time for some real ManUtd news. First of all a certain Brazilian by the name of Dodo is already a red devil and so is Akinfeev but the goalkeeper will join in January (thats why you aren't hearing much on the keeper front even though v'sar is retiring after this season). Now a number of wc stars are being closely monitored too, bt the realistic targets that may finally be approached are Sanchez(Chile), P.Barrera (MEXICO), Seijder(Netherlands) although pleasing Mr. Benitez won't be easy. However, while most scouts are at the wc, some "other" approaches are at an advanced stage, these are � Benzema (+cash for Vidic), Hazard, Diego & Pjanic(only 1 out of the 3 will be signed), Montero(only if Villareal agree for a swap or the fee is reasonable). Outs� Vidic, Anderson(not a certainity), Carrick, Berbatov (Germany bound but only if the Benzema�Vidic move matirializes), Gibson & Diouf (both on loan) . Obertan's future is still quite uncertain. Expect 2�3 new faces from the academy and the reserve team as regulars on the bench. Chiellini and Kjaer are to be approached only if Vidic goes out (highly likely). And there is 1 more "star" being considered, will update with his name asap. "No" moves for Ozil (Bayern are favorites), J.Cole, Vargas, Buffon, Fabiano, Higuain, Diarra (both L and M) or J.Navas(was being considered but apparentely he has some anxiety issues). My take: Ins� Benzema, Sanchez, Montero, Chiellini. Outs� Vidic, Berbatov, Carrick and maybe Anderson too.

You missed off some other notable transfers that are definately going to United, Ozil, Lucio, Thomas Mueller, Maicon, Di Maria, Honda or anyone who has had a remotely decent World Cup.

To buy the players you have mentioned you would be looking at a £125 million plus outlay.

The Man United squad will be very similar to last season, Hernandez has obviously come in and they did well to get him in before his price rocketed.

Maybe Sir Alex will buy 1 'marquee' signing but no big sweeping changes, no club apart from Real and City can do that in the current climate.

What Arsenal are you talking about? It sounds like the one you play is in Football manager.

Keeper�wise the most likely is someone like Schwarzer. If anyone was going to be Casillas or Lloris with price tag would be well above what you are quoting. Wenger has faith (I have no clue why) in Fabianski, and has realy belief in teenager Schezney.

Koscielny � yeah, that's probably going to happen, they're just quibbling over the fee now, he wants to go, Gourcuff has stated he's on the way out and is searching for a replacement. Cannavaro? NO CHANCE. Wenger buys young players, and when it comes to defenders he likes pacey(ish) centre backs. Cannavaro is too old and too slow (Campbell has been a rare exception, and a free signing to bolster a squad). Subotic will fetch a higher price than 11 mill, and Wenger won't buy him. With Gallas and Silvestre moving on, and Campbell 50�50, he'll sign Koscielny, we have Vermaelen, and expect to see a lot more of Djourou and Nordtveidt.

If Fabregas stays, we'll buy nobody. If Fabregas leaves, we'll buy nobody. Ramsey will be expected to fill the void after returning from his injury, Wilshire will be expected to step up along with a few other youth/fringe players. Joe Cole looks the likeliest midfield signing, and even that, I'd say, is a long�shot given his age, wage demands and the fact that he's moving FOR first team football, which he's unlikely to get much more of at Arsenal than at Chelsea.

Oezil and Gourcuff are both well out of our price range anyway, and although I think they're both quality players and would love to see them as gooners, I can't see either of them coming. If we pay for an attacking midfielder/forward, expect someone like Eden Hazard, or even Romelu Lukaku. Gai Assulin has also been touted as a free signing with minimal compensation to Barca. Would love to see those latter three as up and coming young guns.

Eduardo looks like the injury has knocked him for six and although he doesn't look like he's coming back (and Wenger has "alledgedly" told him he's off) I wouldn't be surprised if he stays. He was bought because he's a great finisher and Wenger might well have patience to give him one last season to regain his confidence. Vela is too young too, he won't go. Wenger will give him more of a run in the team next year, again he's a player Wenger has been extremely patient with (with the work permit issues and being loaned out to Spain etc) and Wenger rarely gives up on players even when us fans are demanding he drops these apparent no�hopers � I remember calling for Song to be got rid of when he first started playing for us, and I'm glad Mr Wenger had faith � don't expect him to stop showing that faith in other squad players or "useless" prospects. Who knows, maybe Fabianski will even come good.

Capello will not resign, he has said he wants to stay on, its up to the English F.A, who has arranged for a meeting with him in 12 days time, but they will have to pay a kings ransom if they sack him, that is why he has not resigned, he would get nothing.

Cuadorian starlet Jefferson Montero is keen to link�up with flying winger Antonio Valencia at Manchester United.

Montero, 20, is highly regarded in Spain and is expected to feature in the Villarreal first team next season after shining in their 'B' team ranks.

R.Hodgson has privately turned down Liverpool FC today. Liverpool officials gave Roy a weekend deadline to decide on the job but he wasn't prepared to sign a contract this morning. England to appoint Stuart Pearce as the new England manager in 2 weeks after 'assessing the situation'. David Beckham will be named as his number two. They will look to bleed in young players from the Under 21's into the squad and look to what the future holds due to the performances of the current squad. Similar to what Joachim Loew has done at Germany. The Under 21's job will go to an up and coming English manager similar to what happened with Pearce.

Also Manchester United looking at Mesut Ozil, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thomas Muller of Germany. As well as Pablo Barrera of Mexico. Also being looked at is a world class striker. Either Luis Fabiano or Karim Benzema.

Right lets clear something up.

Bristol Rovers approached Will Hoskins and had positive talks, however then Charlton came in for Hoskins and that looked to be his destination.

Rovers then approached Feeney AND Tony Capaldi, both from Cardiff. Feeney had positive talks with us before the deal was held up by Feeney's agent.

Hoskins then decided against Charlton to sign for us and at that point we cancelled negotiations. Nothing was veer mentioned to Warren about our stadium plans.

Hope that clears everything up.

He had talks with Rovers and was keen to come and at the time Rovers wanted to do a deal because Will Hoskins hadn't got back to us about a move to the club, so upon phoning Feeney to see what the delay was, his agent had advised him to see what other offers came in. In the meantime Will Hoskins accepted Rovers contract offer and we signed him ahead of Warren. ;)

Fabio Capello will leavehis England post by mutual consent within the next 10 days. The FA have decided to try out another English manager with Roy Hodgson, Harry Redknapp, Stuart Pearce and Sam Allardyce all in the frame. The favourite is Hodgson as he is the only manager with top level internation experience and they feel he will get on well with the players and ignite English spirit back in the squad before the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
The significance of this to Liverpool is massive. Hodgson was expected to be appointed and unveiled on Thursday but will now put talks on hold once again in hope of being appointed the new England Head Coach. Looking forward to a couple of signings this week at Celtic with Mulgrew and Bullard looking favourite.
The Campbell thing is dragging on too long as he clearly wants to stay at Arsenal or a 2 year deal with another team in the Premier League.
Of all the speculation on who is coming and going, I would prefer (funds permitting) to see Ledley and Keane as they would make the biggest impact.
Doubtful though with too much competition from richer (NOT BIGGER) clubs able to offer top dollar.
A keeper is also on the shopping list although Zaluska may get the nod, I think we need better for Europe.
Sad to see McGeady go, as he often carried the attack but his attitude and final ball let him down.
Last season loanee's Braffheid, and Kamara are obviously gone and Samaras, Zi and Naylor are not in Lenny's plans so we do require several signings.
Personally I would also listen to offers for Maloney and Crosas as one is injury prone the other is too lightweight in my opinion.

Southampton are keen on landing Marcel Seip from Plymouth Argyle. Seip who spent most of last season on loan at Blackpool and Sheffield Utd has been unsettled at Home Park. Seip who usually plays Centre half but can revert to full back would join Jose Fonte, Radhi Jaidi as the only senior centre backs at the club following the release of the likes of Wayne Thomas this summer at St.Marys.

6ft Dutch Defender Seip was famous for the "Seipgate" incident when he scored for Blackpool against Argyle despite being on loan from the club. Ironically Seip made his Argyle debut at St.Mary's in September 2006 in a 1�0 for the home side. Watch this space.

Man Utd news � Rooney will be leaving this summer � Both Barca and Real Madrid will table offers over the next few weeks, in the region of £65m and, in their financial state, it WILL be accepted.

Rooney himself is interested and his poor performances at the world cup have left him worried there maybe a backlash from fans in England, plus his misses fancies the lifestyle on offer in Spain.

Half the money will be released for a replacement, the rest will vanish in the yanks pocket (as it did with the Ronaldo deal).

Hodgson is waiting for developments at the FA as he feels he has a very good chance of getting the England job if Capello leaves. Also, the Reds were prevented from approaching Rijkaard, Deschamps has ruled himslef out and Pelligrini interviewed poorly. The board has 2 options. The first is to appoint Kenny Daglish as inetrim manger but this is unlikely as Daglish was snubbed initially, and the secong is to wait for Hodgson. This is most likely and the board are pressing for a deal so that they can move forward in the transfer market.

Now they're trying to secure the services of none other then Mesut Ozil. Apparently, Aliaksandr Hleb is now being used as leverage to "secure preference in negotiations " for Ozil

I think this is actually a smart ploy from Barca. They want Ozil to gain more experience as a player before coming to Barcalona and this is a win win situation for everyone. Werder Bremen keep their man for at least another year and Barca are first up to sign him when he reaches his full potential. It's a win for everyone. Except poor Hleb.. But even so, he'll benefit from some 1st team football in Germany (If he gets any)

Sagna is heading for Inter (to replace Maicon) and will go for £19m. Gregory Van Der Wiel (£7.5m) will replace him at RB. Schwarzer is pure media guff! Neuer is the one Wenger wants but he won't come cheap. Where is Alex Song in your lame starting XI? He will partner Diaby in midfield with an attacking midfielder from Fabregas/Ozil/Gourcuff/Hazard. Chamakh and Van Persie will be the two main central forwards with Nasri, Walcott, Arshavin and Eboue supplying the width. Tight budget? If Redknapp is finally offered the job, he will not turn it down. He is 63 now and knows the opportunity will be his last chance. Ideally, he would have liked to have lead Spurs into the Champions League proper and tried to push on from their previous season, but England will be too big to resist and Harry knows that with a few tweaks to the formation he has the foundations of a side that could do something at the 2012 Euro's. Unfortunately for England fans, this will also mean a side swamped with his favourites � James, Dawson, King, Lennon, Huddlestone, Defoe and Crouch. Tottenham would be forced to draw up a short list of successors � Hodgson, Hughes, Pellegrini, Klinsmann and Loewe would all be in the frame. If a deal cannot be done (this will purely be financial) with the FA, then Hodgson with David Beckham as No.2 will be considered. Beckham does not have the coaching licences required by FIFA. He can however operate as an assistant whilst he is taking them. The long term plan would be to use Hodgson to take England to the 2012 Euro's with Beckham eventually taking the helm for the Word Cup in 2014. The Liverpool Manager's job will therefore remain vacant for some time longer until the FA make their decision. This could take until the end of July putting both Spurs and Liverpool in tricky positions.

Forest will make six summer signings, four of which will be announced this week, two more are taking a little longer to tie up.

Rinaalroy, Whittingham, Shorey and Pratley will be tied up and announced before the end of the week, next week at latest.

My dad was speaking to them and he was told that although there is some news going around the place that Manchester United will offer Celtic Fabio and Macheda on loan and money in order to take McGeady to Manchester to replace Valencia who is getting approached by Jose to go to Real. Hi i play for Aberdeen under 19s and have had a scouts offer me a trail with Nottingham Forest, Celtic, Manchester United and Cardiff. My dad was speaking to them and he was told that although there is some news going around the place that Manchester United will offer Celtic Fabio and Macheda on loan and money in order to take McGeady to Manchester to replace Valencia who is getting approached by Jose to go to Real. Now this is only rumours by scouts at youth team level but surely two scouts from two different teams couldnt be wrong.

ENGLAND Future prospects: Yeah, Arsenal will be supplying them in bucket loads over the next few years!
Wilshere (RM�CAM), Kieran Gibbs (LB � successor to Cole), Jay Emmanuel Thomas (CM), Henri Lansbury (LM), Kyle Bartley (CB) and Craig Eastmond (CM�CB�RB) all likely to join Theo Walcott (who will regain form and his place in the England IX next season).
Also look out for Andy Carroll at Newcastle � with a bit of experience in the Premier League, this lad may become the ideal partner for Rooney (needs to calm his off field antics though!)

As we crashed out of the WC in spectacular style I was wondering if people knew where the next set of players are coming from that could lead us to at least the quarter finals in 4 � 8 years time? Any hot prospects at your clubs that you think are going to be English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish world class players?

A couple that i am excited about are;
Jack Wilshire � Arsenal (obvious one) Big year for him which could see him making a few first team apearances
Reuben Noble�Lazarus � Barnsley. Made his first appearance against Ipswich and has regularly been to Old Trafford and participated in training sessions there
Reece Thompson � Lincoln City (15 years old and banging them in for the reserves). Turned down offers from top Premiership clubs in favour of staying at the Imps. {editor's note – I can think of a few off the top of my head at Liverpool: Martin Kelly (top class centre back who has shown himself to be even better at right back), Connor Coady (captained England U17s to the European title, defensive midfielder), Andre Wisdom (centre back who was also in the U17s team, scored at both ends in the final), actually most of the U17 team looked damn good, players like Connor Wickham and McEacharan (sp?) of Chelsea, the right back (I can't remember his name) and Keane, from Man Utd, stood out particularly well.}

Cardiff city news. Bad news, got told this by my cousin a current player, big rows at cardiff, between directors and dave jones and gethin jenkins.been told there will be only 2 signings, one on a free and one loan.whittingam is going to forest for 1.8, and darcy blake for 1 mill to bolton, with money going off debts.bad times.

Hi mate, been told more or less the same although I was told that Darcy was going to be loaned to an SPL club (Hamilton I think). Whittingham is off to Forest (p/ex Earnie) and Bothroyd is off there as well.

Regarding the finances, the Malaysians have only put in circa £6m into the club and have got control. Explain how they can put in so little and yet get control of a big club like Cardiff (the stadium alone cost £38m!) The figures don't add up, and I and others have a bad feeling about this season.

As for Gethin Jenkins, he has publicly slated some of the fans (check Mike Morris' site and the post from Gwyn Davies of the Valley Rams) and already his head is being called for.

The twist that nobody has caught on is that Ridsdale and Hammam are not yet totally out of the Cardiff equation. I have it on good authority that Ridsdale met an interested buyer for Cardiff City at the Cheltenham Festival. However, as Ridsdale was by this point isolated (this was after he alone had to do his apology speech after it was found that £2m from ticket sales had gone towards paying the tax bill) he could not make a case for this investor as the investor wanted to keep Ridsdale on for 6 months so as to learn about the club and to 'find his feet' (no jokes about them being on the end of his legs.)

What also stopped this investor was that certain people at Cardiff City do not like this investor � he is a figure of derision and hate among the fans � and that Hammam had an incognito meeting with Annis Abraham and a few close friends and advisor's to stop Ridsdale dead in his tracks. The plan was to get Sam back in charge with Annis's backing meaning that Annis and former Soul Crew members would form a new board of non executive directors with Gerald Leeke, Gino Cocco and Steve Day also joining as financiers/executive directors. In the end, this plan failed too because Steve Borley did not want The Return Of Sam Part 2, and so went with the Malaysians.

Sorry if it sounds life waffle, but this actually did happen and this mysterious investor is still interested and is biding his time. He is privy to information from Ridsdale and knows that the Malaysian bid has no longevity. Once players are sold, the club starts poorly and the pressure gets to the new owners you will see a whirlwind of change. Keep watching mate, it'll be interesting � if you want to know more am usually in The Unicorn Inn near Malvern Town Centre � just ask for Sumo.

And it doesn't matter how many contacts you have some moves just don't pan out, even after deals are agreed. For instance, a few years back Yobo had not long joined Everton, it was in the middle of his first season, and he was having a storming season, but his contract was just a one year deal with a 'gentleman's' agreement with Moyes to extend it if he did well. Yobo agreed to sign for Arsenal for the following season and when Moyes questioned him about it he claimed not to know what a gentleman's agreement was. He got dropped and it apparently got really heated, I posted it on here, and I got the story off one of his team mates, a then regular first teamer, so I know it was genuine. Yet he ended up staying at Everton and I got slated for it. I know it definitely happened as I had it confirmed by other Everton people, but I ended up looking stupid when he didn't move. That is why I am cautious about what I post now, and make it plain that the moves might not happen. Actually thinking about it, I never did find out why he didn't make the move, do any of the Everton fans on here know what happened?}
