One of either Mauro Boselli or Lukas Podolski will be signed by Man Utd this summer with Berbatov leaving. Tosic would be used in the deal for Podolski with also about 5m going to Koln where as Boselli would be a straight cash deal for around 8m. so expect one of these guys at Old Trafford this summer.

Not posted for a while, but i got some real good SPL rumours for you all:
Contrary to all the hysterics in the media surrounding Rangers, the club are actually in the clear legally and will have a small amount of money to build the squad agreed by the bank. With guaranteed champions league football it is seen as beneficial to give Walter Smith (who will be in charge next season) a better chance to compete in this lucrative competition.
Signings may well include 1 or 2 of: David Goodwillie, Mark Reynolds, James McArthur, Anthony Stokes or Jim o'Brian
Out going players include Kris Boyd, who has fallen out of favour after verbily agreeing terms with Birmingham; DEmarcus Beasley is also leaving the club and Velicka will be released. No other players will leave unless good value (£7mill+) bids come in for MacGregor, Wilson etc – or Madgid Bougherra, who will be watched closely by many scouts at the World Cup. Any cash recouped will be split between debts and player investment to build the squad. A buyer will make a concrete offer in the next few days, as the guarantee of European cash secures future loan repayments – THIS WILL HAPPEN BY NEXT WEEK – I GUARANTEE IT.
Celtic face another season of transistion as the club rebuilds from this years mistakes. Expect Keane, Samaras, Crosas, Braafheid, Mizuno, McGinn, McCourt, Thompson & Zhi, to leave (as recommended by Neil Lennon – next manager, unless Desmond can persuade Trappatoni to take some role at the club – true story), while Kamara and N'Guemo will sign on a permanent contracts, but targets will not be finalized until the manager position is finalized. No other players will leave unless big bids come in.
It's all true

Southampton fc rumors

ins –
Alan Maccormak – southend – 150k + kayne maclaggon
Michale antonio – 300k + compensation
Jeff Hughes – Bristol Rovers – 200k
Steve Elliot – Bristol Rovers –100k
John oster – Doncaster R – 110k
Billy Sharp 400k + Jamie white – sheffield Utd

Outs –

Simon Gillett Doncaster Rovers – 200k
Jamie White – sheffield Utd – Swap + £400k
Lloyd James – 200k
Oliver Lancashiere – 100k
Jake Thompson – Torquay Loan

Bristol Rovers will not sell Jeff Hughes for £200k and why would you need yet another winger? If Lee Holmes was included in the deal the club may consider a deal, as he could be a direct replacement.

Rovers would snap your hands off for £100k for Steve Elliott. He is out of contract in the Summer and it is likely that the offer on reduced terms Rovers have put to him could get rejected.

Please get your facts right next time.

Arsenal signings:

Hugo Lloris (12m plus Eduardo on loan)
Gary Cahill (12–14m) / Neven Subotic (14m+)
Adam Matthews (5m)
Eden Hazard (10–14m)
Marouane Chamakh (FREE)

plus perhaps a further CB/RB (Micah Richards?) and a CDM as cover for Song depending on funds available/departures

28 Apr 2010 20:35:48
Arsenal:
Chamakh is pretty much a certainty. Also another defender and goalkeeper will be bought in (sakho/subotic, neuer/frey)
I seriously doubt any of the star players, van persie/fabregas/arshavin will leave.

28 Apr 2010 20:16:29
Ok, Walter Smith has said that he thinks Rangers Champions League money (roughly £12 million) should be used to strengthen the squad, as he says that the same group of players can't keep winning the title every season.

Anyway, these are just some rumours that i've heard from different people on this website, so the majority of them are probably not true.

IN:

Kasper Schmeichel (Notts County)
Jim O'Brien (Motherwell)
Trésor Mputu (Olympiacos)
David Goodwillie (Dundee United)
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink (Hull City)
Bernard Mendy (Hull City)
Jonathon Tuffey (Partick Thistle)
James McArthur (Hamilton)
Sol Bamba (Hibernian)
Mario Balotelli (Inter Milan) (LOAN)

OUT:

John Fleck/Danny Wilson (Liverpool)
Madjid Bougherra (Sevilla/Barcelona/Birmingham/Tottenham/Marseille/Fulham)
Kris Boyd (Birmingham)
Andrius Velicka (Hull City)
Andy Webster (Hull City)

Players who have been linked to Liverpool in the past few weeks;

Jonjo Shelvey (Done)
Rafael Van Der Vaart
Karim Benzema
Royston Drenthe
Nicolas Otamendi (New Ayala?)
Carlos Tevez
Michael Johnson
Wayne Hennessey
Steven Pienaar

ALL are solid players and young prospects, but most are unlikely to happen. Carlos Tevez is too much, Everton won't sell Pienaar, Otamendi will probably be snapped up by Madrid. Benzema is again too much. Hennessey isn't needed. Jonjo is a done deal. Van Der Vaart, Drenthe and Johnson are most likely though.

28 Apr 2010 18:28:16
No liverpool rumours, but lets be realistic, augero won't come, he went to athletico because torres (his idol played there) doesn't mean 4 years later he wants the same, we won't spend 30 mill on villa who will be 29 after the world cup, he's not torres best mate, but he is reina's as he said during euro 2008

rafa may have spent approx 240 mill, but he regenerated over 180 mill of this by selling players, he's never got all the players he wanted: vidic, milner, barry, villa (2005), alves (2006)the list goes on

if we get the investment then lets hope for good times

Gordon Strachan is keen to snap up Dundee and Scotland under 21, striking sensation, Leigh Griffiths. It is thought Dundee will not give up their prize asset for anything less than £500,000. Blackpool, Sunderland, Wigan and Cardiff are also keeping tabs on the former Livingston man.

I was in the bookies and they weren't taking bets for craig levein to be next celtic manager.
I was very suprised because he has only been in charge of scotland for 1 game and he is quite a loyal man but maybe the chance of managing celtic is too good for him to turn down. He is the 5/2 fav in william hill however, maybe he isunhapy with life at scotland because of the departure of gordon smith.
There are also rumours that celtic are considering approaching ireland for trapatonni to godfather neil lennon.
Either of these managers would be great for the club

Milan Jovanovic deal is pretty much done he just has to have a medical , but I wouldn't be expecting too much from this guy he might be able to bang in goals in Belgium but its another story in the premiership I wouldn't mind if he was young and could develop but he is 28, I think we may have another Voronin who was banging in the goals in Germany[which has a much better league than Belgium] and turned out to be crap, N'gog is better than Jovanovic and despite his critics I reckon this guy can become a good player in the next few years we need a proven striker now though, apparently Rafa is looking at Cole, Jones, Donovan and Rodallega for next year hopefully one of these will come in because I don't want to be too negative but I really don't think this guy will make the cut maybe as a left winger hes alright but that's about it.If any one of the other options come in expect N'gog to go on loan to Bolton next year, Owen Coyle has already made an enquiry.

28 Apr 2010 18:20:46
Reading have taken the option to extend Michail Antonio's contract, ending Southampton's hopes of signing the winger on a permanent basis.
Shame, he will hardly play at Reading where he would be a regular fixture at Saints

To the person who said Birmingham's problems will be of Portsmouth proportions, I would like to point a few things out.

1) Unlike Portsmouth (and indeed West Ham), Birmingham have little to no debt to which any payments would need to be priorotised were the owners to leave.

2) The incident in the news is over UNPAID FEES of £2.5m, an immaterial amount which is owed to an investment bank through a loophole overseen by BCFC management. This amount has now been paid although Yeung etc. are appealing to court over whether they can get it back.

Unlike our neighbours in Aston, the wage structure at Birmingham does not approach 80% of revenue (a disastrous percentage) and McLeish and Yeung seem intent on setting up a transfer policy which will not bankrupt the club, hence our 2 £3m signings in Jan (Gardner and Michel) rather than breaking the bank for players like Babel and Pavluyechenko. I would therefore expect to see more modest signings in the summer (McGeady and Boyd most likely).

"Following his poor relationship with Inter manager Jose Mourinho, outspoken and controversial striker Mario Balotelli is being linked with a season–long loan move to the SPL with both Celtic and Rangers reportedly interested. Inter and Balotelli would prefer a loan to Rangers owing to their guarantee of Champions League football, but Rangers' financial situation could prove to be a stumbling block as Inter would want all wages paid in full and a 2 million fee for the promising 19 year old striker. Celtic meanwhile are keeping a close eye on the situation in the hopes of bolstering their frontline with the imminent departure of loan signing Robbie Keane, possible departure of Diomansy Kamara after loan expiry, and the probable transfer of underperforming Giorgios Samaras. Celtic are also again linked with Arsenal misfit Phillipe Sanderos who declared interest in a move to Glasgow during the January transfer window."

After impressing against them in their final home game of the season, newcastle will make a move for ipswich's conor whickham in the summer – possibly offering leon best in exchange with a small fee and maybe loaning kadar or ranger as part of the deal. Ipswich will replace whickham with swindons charlie austin.

NUFC possibilities – charlie adam, conor whickham, jamie o'hara, james perch, marc wilson, juan albin.

Liverpool will not be signing Wayne Bridge they have already made an £8million bid for Lazio's Alaksandar Kolarov, this will likely be rejected however because Lazio value him at around £12million .Liverpool are expected to go back with another one or two bids because Rafa has identified him as the man he wants.Wayne Bridge is absolutley terrible, I think he is highly over rated and I think that he should be fifth choice left back for England honestly 1.Cole 2.Baines 3.Warnock 4.Konchesky 5.Bridge. Insua is a much better left back one small stat for you Bridge made 42 crosses this year guess how many made it to a team mate 0 and he is slow and has bad positioning at least Insua is slightly faster and can swing in a cross he has 5 premiership assists this year. Now on to Rafa he again came out today and said he will not be leaving he was also talking about buying in young talents such as Sterling and Shelvey for the future, he went on to talk about trying to buy passionate British players who want to play for the shirt Glen Johnson and even though he missed out to Man City he was talking about Gareth Barry. His number 1 target this summer is James Milner who he missed out on 2 years ago after a bidding war with Villa. He is also hoping to bring in Gary Cahill, Rafael Van der Vaart and Milan Jovanovic[talks have already begun with the last 2].

Ok, i keep reading about the 50 players liverpool will be signing with the budget they assume they will get IF a new owner comes in. Also can we drop this 'Rafa will finally have a budget' nonsense. He's spent over £200m on players in the last 5 years.in fact only City and Chelsea have a higher net spend.

No you stop talking nonsense because rafa's has been given on average 13m a year & then raised the rest through player sales, so when people like yourself who bother don't reading into things & finding out the TRUE FACTS!! on player sales & players brought in.

and if you don't think am right check out paul tomkins website who does in FACT do a lot of research into things like that..

Arsenal will sign up to 7 players in this transfer window, 4 of them will have bags of experience and the other 3 will be ones for the future. However, dependent on sales there is the chance of even more faces arriving at the Emirates. With Arsene Wenger expected to splash the cash it is rumoured he has around £30 million to spend. Add to that the sales of under performing players Wenger will have around £55 million to spend.

Players out: Senderos (Free), Silvestre (Free), Gallas (Free), Fabianski (£2 million), Traore (£3 million), Randall (£1 million), Arshavin (£16 million), Simpson (£1 million) and Eduardo (£8 million).
There will also be some young players loaned out for experience including: Schezney, Hoyte, Bartley, Frimpong, Henderson and Murphy.

Sagna (Inter Milan)
Clichy (Real Madrid, Barcelona)
Fabregas (Everyone)
Rosicky (Dortmund)
Bendtner (Munich, Juventus)

So other new faces are rumoured to include:

Micheal owen will be rejioning liverpool fc.
steven gerrad has requested him to do so.'

How funny is that?? Stevie G requested it, so its bound to happen eh!!

I have it on good authority that Wayne Rooney has 'requetsed' that Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, Pique, Alves, Milner, Young and Mourinho join United so roll on the summer eh!!!

United to BID FOR / INQUIRE ABOUT the following –
Stephen Ireland (10m from Man City)
James Milner (15m + Carrick froom Aston Villa)
Michael Dawson (9m from Spurs if Vidic leaves)
Joe Cole (Free from Chelsea)

No strikers will be bought. Fergie will have Rooney, Berbatov, Owen and Hernandez as his main 4 strikers, with Diouf, Welbeck and Macheada out on loan til Jan. If Berbatov & Owen haven't stepped up, Jan will see them leave with United bringing in a new striker to replace berbatov.

Just seen Paul Scholes walk through the main doors at Deepdale, apparently Ferige Snr is prepared to let him go to deepdale to end his career at Preston with his son Fergie Jnr. Also Owen Hargreaves is expected to make a 3 month loan to Preston at the start of next season, in order to gain fitness and then return to United in January, in order catch Fabio Capello's eye and win a place in the England squad for the European Qualifiers.

WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE THIS NEVER READ PAPERS OR WATCH THE NEWS? PAUL SCHOLES HAS SIGNED A ONE YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION! ALSO OWEN HARGREAVES WILL GET FITNESS, HE WILL GET FIT DURING THE PRE SEASON FRIENDLIES YOU PLUM!

YOU WILL BE SIGNING ONE OR TWO UNITED PLAYERS ON LOAN THOUGH, MAYBE DIOUF AND CORRY EVANS?

Liverpool look set to sign Wayne Bridge for around £6 million from Manchester City. Benitez will only make 2 to 3 other signings this summer if all goes to plan. He has already signed Milan Jovanovic but will add another attacking midfielder and is also in the race for a versatile winger with Riera, Babel and Benayoun all likely to leave. It is highly unlikely he will sign another striker as Torres will start on his own with Ngog and Jovanovic and even Pacheco pushing for starts. Benitez is keen on Arda Turan and Rafael Van Der Vaart.
It is highly likely that his 3 signings this summer with be Bridge, Turan and Van Der Vaart.

Michael Antonio (500k–1m)

First of all Michail Antonio is coming to Southampton on a free transfer plus compensation. Southampton have first refusal on Papa and can offer £300k for him although his work permit may be a problem. Also your valuations are way out on those 2 players.

Southampton outs:
Wayne Thomas (Released)
Chris Perry (Released)
Ollie Lancashire (Released)
Kayne McLaggon (loan)
Aaron Martin (loan)
Simon Gillett– Donny
Paul Wotton– Possible coach at the club

Not sure about ins but all of the above should happen.

Pardew will have about £5m to spend in the summer with what ever he needs in January

Liverpool FC News: The takeover is more or less complete now since due diligence has been completed. I'm not sure who the successful bidder is yet as there is an NDA (none disclosure agreeement) in place with the club. All I know is that the club has been sold on conditions that the debt will be cleared and that plans for a new stadium will be put in place ASAP. One other snippet I've heard is that there is no transfer budget as such. If the manager identifies players that he feels will improve the squad he will be given the necessary funds.

All this craig levein talk about celtic is rubbish. My dad is one of his best mates and they both are big rangers supporters.Levein would only leave Scotland job for rangers or a big prem team(fact)

28 Apr 2010 12:39:58
Its a two way fight for Celtic job, Craig Levein is in pole position, but Lennon has done very well, and is back up should Levein say no.

John Park has identified several signings:

Kevin Gameiro – FC Orient
Gary Hooper – Scunny
Lee Wallace – Hearts
Jose Goncalves – Hearts
Anthony Stokes – Hibs
Scott Arfield – Falkirk
Joe Ledley – Cardif
Andy Dorman – St Mirren
John Ruddy – Everton

A loan move for Jamie O'Hara and Robbie Keane would also be very favourable to Celtic and it may see a player (McGeady/Boruc/Brown) head to spurs

Ok, i keep reading about the 50 players liverpool will be signing with the budget they assume they will get IF a new owner comes in. Also can we drop this 'Rafa will finally have a budget' nonsense. He's spent over £200m on players in the last 5 years..in fact only City and Chelsea have a higher net spend.

Sensible predictions would be:
A new striker to back–up Torres, how Liverpool can expect to compete over a full season with only one established striker is a mystery. Kuyt, NGog etc aren't gonna be hitting 15–20 goals a season. Kenwyne Jones seemed a goer in january – that could realistically be revived. After Darren Bent's season he may prove a good option, alternatively a loan move for Balotelli would suit both clubs.
A winger to replace the outgoing Riera. The obvious candidates are there but Benitez has a history of buying cheap wingers rather than established quality.

If you think you're bringing in Villa/Aguero and Ribery/Jovetic you're going to be disappointed.

Onto United. The Ronaldo money isn't there for christs sake. Im sick of hearing £80m from Ronaldo sale plus £25m annual budget etc etc. Its one thing burying your head in the sand and believing the club's statements but the accounts have been released now (and for a few months). The Ronaldo money is gone..the club has a revolving credit facility of £100m arranged with the banks but that doesn't mean we have a £100m transfer budget. I would expect a 'marquee' signing this season but only as a PR exercise to placate the fans after the G&G campaign.

Its clear that without Rooney United don't look the same team. I wouldn't expect Villa/Aguero/Benzema etc though as they would cost too much (unless the Vidic/Benzema swap is on..and lets face it, swaps never happen these days). I believe Berbatov will get another chance to impress after his performance against Spurs. He is only likely to leave if an offer of £20m+ comes in from either Germany or Italy, if this happens expect a signing to replace him but not a superstar.

Tosic will be sold off to a german club for £7–9m. There may be scope for a deal for Dzeko or Podolski if Berbatov moves.

The marquee signing should come as a creative, goal–scoring midfielder. Milner is possible, as is Gourcuff (esp with Sir Alex's relationship with Larry White) but unfortunately if J.Cole is available on a free we're likely to go for him as Sir Alex has been an admirer since his west ham days. If that happens expect a deal for rodwell to be tied up.

Don't be surprised to see a move for someone such as Alexis Sanchez, we've been tracking him for a while and would add some attacking flair which we've been missing.

Total net transfer spend to go past the £30m mark, including at least one player the club can point to and say 'aren't the Glazers great for bringing him in'.

To whoever thinks 17 year old wonderkid Neymar will be going to Liverpool for 6million sorry mate but he will be going nowhere unless someone stumps up at least 15–20 mill as Santos own his image rights upto 2015 (apparently only chelski and real madrid are willing to take this gamble) oh and hes 18 although he is special i think spain would be his only option due to the style of football he plays

Craig Levein is top of Celtic's wanted list, but the attitude and commitment of Neil Lennon has given the board a dilemma. The compromise would seem to be them forming a management team, but Lennon wants to be his own man and has the backing of the player's who lost confidence under Mowbray.
A transfer strategy has been drawn up based on both players identified over the past 12 moths and a few ideas from Lennon himself. This includes luring back Petrov, Robson or even Hartley to beef up and add more experience in that area.
McGeady is 80/20 in favour of leaving but Lennon is very keen to keep him at Celtic and will even offer him the arm–band if they both remain at the club.
Samaras, Hinkel, Caddis, McCourt, Loovens, Crosas and Naylor will be allowed to leave and a decent offer for Brown would not be turned down.
Only Nguemo and Kamara will be invited to stay on if suitable transfer fees can be agreed.
Loanee's returning like Hutchinson and Sheridan will be assessed in pre–season.
Personally I think Neil Lennon was very brave to take on this disappointing lot and deserves credit. However, with so much player upheaval and 3 C.L. qualifiers so early in the new season we may need a more experienced head to guide him.

I am a big Chelsea fan and season ticket holder for the last 15 years and am impressed with the site. I'm often quite close with my transfer predictions so I thought I'd share my realistic views.

I can see a few player leaving during the summer:

Balletti
Deco
Ferriera
Ballack (Due to wages but I hope note)
Cole (Due to lack of match football and wage demands but I again hope not)
Cavalho (Ageing but class CB becoming surplus to requirments)

I believe that Bosingwa will stay another year to prove his worth if he can steer clear of injuries.

I would love to see the following at the Bridge next year:

Defence Generally

– Davide Santon – as he is a great prospect and is versatile – Unsure of Inters willingness to sell however.

– Slobodan Rajkovic – I can see him returning to the brigde next year and making an impact but not sure of his work permit status.

– Other possibilities – Alves / Maicon / Subotic

Midfield Generally

– Possibilities – Hamsik / Di Maria / Schweinstager

Forwards

– Aguero – I believe this is pretty much a done deal.

– Lukaku – I think he will stay at Anderlecht another year due to his age and fathers requests but we should be among the front runners for his signiture.

– A lot of youth players given further opportunities by Ancellotti as well as a few good young talents arriving shortly.

Overall we will probably need a good 50–60million to secure a 2–3 of the above names to strengthen our squad with very little transfer revenue coming out way.

I have heard from various good sources that Stevey G is definatley moving abroad this summer and cannot see why Torres would stay. Ribery is off to Spain. Man City are going to spend silly money again and will be really tough to come up against next year. Liverpool are going to have yet another tough year regardless of new owners. Arsenal will also be in good shape with Arsene loosening his purse strings. Man U will bring in a couple of game changing players to supliment the talent they already have. I'm sure it will be a very exciting transfer window, world cup and 2010/11 season.

28 Apr 2010 11:15:43
I have also heard about these Amouri to United rumours. Apparently, there could be a swap deal with Berbatov going the other way. I have also heard that Man United are interested in signing Saviola.

Both Eto and Maicon could be moving to Real Madrid in the summer, if Mourinho takes over.

John Arne Risse is a summer target for Fulham and Liverpool are considering a bid for Dani Guiza.

Anymore info on a LFC bid for Neymar? the kid can play but he would get his legs broke first merseyside derby, more suited for spain with his skinny self IMO but I am interested in all the youth signings nonetheless. if the reds future is so bleak why are these kids passing up the other top english teams for Anfield, do they and their agents know the same info that got the stars to sign long term contracts? thanks and aloha.

Only 4 new players to join arsenal provided gallas stays, 5 if gallas leaves. the positions that will be reinforced are GK, CB, CF and LM. Its Chamakh for CF on a free, a good bit of business, and Hazard in LM for around £14m. The alternative would be a free transfer for joe cole, but i doubt this would happen.
At GK: forget Green because WH survived, forget Hart because he will capitalise on Given's injury to become Man City's no. 1 GK. Lloris will not be signed, i see him going to Utd or Milan. That leaves a choice between Adler, Frey and Neuer. All 3 are excellent GKs. Id go for Frey and his experience. as he is already 30, he would not stand in the way of Szczesny for too long.
At CB, Zapata, Subotic, Sakho, Hangeland, Richards and Cahill have been mentioned. I would discount Cahill and Richards immediately. Cahill's price would be grossly inflated, Richards is a better RB than CB. Only if one of our RB left would I consider Richards. As it stands we need a player for the right side of central defence, with Vermaelen the man on the left. To analyse the remaining contenders:
Zapata: can cover the whole of the back four, comfortable with both feet, competent at CB, reads the game well.
Subotic: huge at 6'4, v good in the air, a fighter, plays the ball well.
Sakho: a left footer, but more than competent to play in all defensive positions bar RB.
Hangeland: Has had a wonderful season, great in the air, brave, scores goals, experienced and already in the Premiership.
My first choice would be Subotic, he is still young, but has impressed for Dortmund and Serbia. if Gallas left, Sakho and Zapata would also come into the picture. i just don't believe AW would be happy paying over 10m for Hangeland, a player who is close to 30. So i would love to see Subotic and Sakho at Arsenal.
Galindo and Wellington Silva are also to join, healthily increasing competition.
leaving will be Almunia, Fabianski(loan), Senderos(free), Silvestre(free), maybe Gallas(free), Traore, Merida(free), Eduardo, Simpson, Vela(loan), Wilshere(loan) and Gilbert(free).
SQUAD:
FREY Szczesny Mannone(hg)
Sagna Eboue Clichy(hg) Gibbs(hg) Botelho
Vermaelen SUBOTIC SAKHO Djourou(hg) Campbell(hg)
Song(hg) Eastmond(hg) Coquelin Denilson(hg)
Fabregas(hg) Diaby(hg) Ramsey(hg) Galindo Rosicky E–Thomas(hg)
Nasri Walcott(hg) HAZARD Arshavin Wellington
vPersie Bendtner(hg) CHAMAKH Sunu

If all this happens, only small changes will be made at the end of next season. Campbell will probably retire and take up the role of defensive coach at arsenal, Fabianski will be shown the door, DCM cover may be signed and Nordtveit and a couple of the other youngsters will be promoted. Dont be surprised to see Rosicky or Denilson leave either.

Kasper Schmeichel to sign for Palace on a free transfer to replace the outgoing Julian Speroni. He will be number 1 keeper for Palace next season with Charlie Mann as back up.

28 Apr 2010 10:35:15
One out–of–context media bout of bullsht and now Arshavin's leaving for Barca! Laughable. Why would Barca want Arshavin? Where is he going to play? He's stated that it would have been his dream to play for them but it's never going to happen. Not while they have Bojan, Pedro, Messi, Ibrahimovic, Assulin and either Torres or Villa come the summer.
Arshavin is a quality player when he can be bothered, frustrating when he can't. As a lifelong Gooner, I will say honestly that if he left in the summer I wouldn't be too dispondent. He's disappointed this season after some glimpses of genius when he first arrived. To be fair, he's missed having a strike partner to flourish and hopefully we'll see the best of him next season. He has no World Cup so shouldn't be an injury worry pre–season. If Wenger was to sell though it wouldn't be for anything less than £20m. He's only 18 months into his contract and they have no need to sell unless they bring in someone to replace him. Joe Cole will be seriously considered – Wenger loves a bargain! He may see signing Cole on a free a masterstoke similar to the Campbell deal all those years ago. Arsenal have the money to afford him, they have the playing style to get the best out of him and we all know his first choice will be to stay in London, he's reluctant to move North at this stage of his career. On the GK front, forget Joe Hart. He'll be back at City next season – following the whole embarrassing saga with their keepers, City will ensure they have two solid keepers available next season. Hart likely to start the 10/11 season while Given recovers from injury (the dislocation isn't too much of a worry but the tendon and ligament damage will be a slow repair). Akinfeev will not be considered due to his contractual situation (available on a free in 2011), Lloris didn't fill me full of confidence watching him last night, so lets hope it is one of Adler/Neuer or Frey. My personal choice would be Adler.
Adebayor likely to finally get his move to Milan this summer. Likely to be a £18–20m deal with Milan players making up part of the deal (Flamini, Huntelaar).
Liverpool's move for Shelvey is about the calibre of their summer signings. Young, cheap players with potential to develop and increase the homegrown quota they need for the Europa League next season. Jovanovic deal is off due to wage demands. Graham Dorrans likely to be next in for around £5–6m (poss players in exchange).
Babel off to join Rijkaard's Galatasaray – Liverpool will pay an additional £4–5m for Arda Turan in return.
Riera heading for Villareal, Valencia or Atletico £4–5m). Cavallieri will also leave for around £3m. Carlton Cole likely to come in from the Hammers.
Carson Yeung set to be the next embarrassing chairman of a Premier League club. The whole purchase of Birmingham was a sham – the guy doesn't have the money to invest in the squad or the ground. The banks look set to seize control in the summer before the problems escalate into a nightmare of Portsmouth proportions. Avram Grant likely to be the next Hammers manager. Bruce wouldn't work for Sullivan and Gold again, they can't afford Zola, nor has he proven to be a particularly great manager, Bilic would see it as too much of a gamble and why would McClaren, who will be leading FC Twente into the Champions League next season put himself under media pressure at a club which will be one of the favourites to go down. Upson, Ilunga, Cole, Parker, Diamanti, Dyer and Noble all to be sold in the summer to lower the wage bill.
Burnley will get rid of Brian Laws (the only man to lead two clubs down in one season?) once the season is over. Tony Mowbray will take over in the hope of rebuilding his reputation following the Celtic farce.

Norwich City rumours: –

Was at the training ground yesterday and saw who i'm sure was Aaron Mokoena walking out with Paul Lambert and David McNally.

Also, i'm good friends with Paul McVeigh who has said he has heard a few whispers about a couple of players who could be joining us in the summer.

He said that the players have been hearing things such as Fraser Forster will be signing on–loan again for next season from Newcastle. And other names mentioned have been Jason Koumas from Wigan, Jason Puncheon from Southampton and Chris O'Grady from Rochdale.

Has anybody else heard any Norwich news?

Liverpool will have a new owner in the next 6 month!!
it is because H&G can't affort the big debt eventhough the star players in the club are sold. it is because H&G can't build a new stadium for liverpool. the debt will come again and again!! if they sell the star player to pay the debt, the price of the club will drop significantly!! if the yank can't find a new owner in the nex 6 month, the bank will takeover the club and find the biiders themselves a nd the yank will earn nothing.. So, why not the H&G sell the club now?The chairman Martin Broughton in his introductary speech last week said he had interest in the purchase of the club and throughout the process he will not be relaying information to the press until the deal was finalized!!i think the takeover will happen after the season because the chairman don't want to affect the performance and spirit of the players.

NEWCASTLE UNITED

To this over 26 debate. Ok, nolan is over 26 theres one player. However lovenkrands and pancrate were signed on short term deals. Newcastle don't pay money for people over 26 (with the exception of nolans 4m deal), we sign them on short term deals(lovenkrands was then offwered to stay for another 3). So this my geordie friends is what will happen:

INS:
Beevers – 3m (cheaper if wednesday get relegated)
O'Hara – 5m (can play lm aswell as cm so useful)
Beckford – Free
Albin – Free
Lavezzi – 7m

We will sign lavezzi aswell as one of the 'frees'. Therefore we have spent the 15m weve been given. Only seen Beckford but can he be consistent at premier league level? We may get a right back, don't know who but my guess is Habib Beye back (breaking that rule of over 26 but we need experience in defence!). Sorry im not aware of who is going out, but nicky butt, pancrate and xisco are definetely leaving!

Latest LFC ins/outs

Liverpool closing in on Otemundi, Argentine centre back, for £9m

Feeder club AEK have expressed interest in renewing Nemeth's loan and taking El Zhar, Mavinga and Plessis on loan as well next season. Shame they don't want N'gog :–) I suspect they won't get all four as that would deprive LFC of transfer funds but Mavinga would seem a possibility

Its also nice to see that Real is now firmly in its annual destabilisng mode and is being linked with pretty much Evra–y quality left back in the game

In regard to comments that a lot of the rumours about LFC being interested in various players is nonsensical because of the uncertainty of funds and who the manager will be next season – if you examine the more substantial stories doing the rounds (Otemundi above, Shelvey, maybe even VDV) its fairly obvious that, as you would really expect, the current regime are in fact carrying on, business as usual. They don't really have much option. Its also fairly obvious that the priorities are to build up the squad depth on a relatively modest budget – all very sensible. I also have doubts about the first option on X rumours – whilst such agreements aren't unheard of, they are fraught with risk and difficult to enforce. The £18m for Tevez rumour seems to have captured the imagination of many, but I'm less convinced – altho' for that price it wouldn't be a bad deal, but for all his ability he has a tendency to not always 'turn up' when selected, and the last thing that LFC need at the moment is another player with a poor attitude.

Whoever LFC buy and whoever manages them next season, LFC won't achieve anything more next year if they can't sort out the squad's mental approach. I have no idea what the real cause of LFC's problem in this area has been this season but its been clear since the ropey pre–season that the key players just haven't had their 'heads in the right place' to quote a friend. Its one of those general truisms in football, whether its for 9 year olds playing in a sunday league or full professionals playing at the highest level, if the attitude is wrong, they won't fufill their potential and, for whatever reason, LFC's first team's attitude has been awry for much of this term

WEST HAM

I highly doubt that Upson and Green would go for £12million for the pair!! Sullivan would want around £8million for each of them!

Inter have expressed how they want Mario Balotelli sen tout on loan next season and want him to come to England. They have even singled out West Ham as an ideal destination!!

West Ham are looking at Boateng (Portsmouth) at a cut–price deal after Portsmouth have announced their whole squad is up for sale.

Manchester united are interested in mauro boseli not amauro!

also liverpool and mancester city are involved in a swap deal between tevez and torres! this is 100% gospel from a great source, though it is just being discussed! its not at all concrete!

Arsenal

OK here is how i think and hope this summer transfers will go beeing realistic on players that will stay and go aswell ..

first of all who is going to be shown the door..

keeper : fabranski or almunia (fabranski please!)
Def : silvester, senderious maybe gallas (hope not)
mid : fran merida(shame) rosicky (lacks form)
fwd : eduardo (lacks form)
overall money gained 14.5 – 22.5 million

now who could be coming in..

keeper : adler/hart/frey
def : 2 young cb not sure who yet
mid : no one
fwd: chamakh, edin hazard
overall money lost 36 – 63 million

lost/gain 21.5 – 48.5 million

This is what i think may happen in summer the signing that may not happen is hazard the rest will have to be done due to arsenal losing alot of there older players and the lack of form of players after they have been given ample chances to stage a come back. wenger has been quoted as saying we have money to compete with the likes of chelsea in the transfer market this year soo it seems likely he is going to try and be a power player in the summer and buy in acleast 4 players hopefully 5 if he includes hazard..

I have heard some bad news about Liverpool which I hope is not true as I am a pool fan. It comes from 3rd hand accounts from someone connected highly within the club.

Stevie G is handing in a transfer request to play abroad.

All interested buyers in the club have pulled out as the yanks want 800 mil! for it.

This is what I was told. Make of it what you will.

To the idiot that said this
"Rangers are in a real mess. May mean no Europen football next year if they can't hand over their accounts. Dont believe me its happened to Portsmouth too. Big tax bill and also bank and Murray puttin the squeeze on could mean administration and a trip to 3rd division on the cards. Dark days ahead in Ibrox. Smith to walk and everyone to be sold or released at the end of the season. Cant see any positives just now for the club"

You really are clueless arent you, Portsmouth got an appeal rejected. Rangers already have what they need in terms of getting into Europe so stop trying to clutch at straws in the hope that Celtic might get straight into Europe. Rangers going to the 3rd division will never happen unless the club dissolve and re–form as another team. I will also say this, If Rangers go bust then Celtic won't be far behind them as without one the other can't exist.
As for rumours this is what i have heard, Kris Boyd has already got a verbal agreement with another club which has caused him to be distracted hence the lack of goals and why he has not featured much for the team recently. I won't mention the names of any teams as unlike most of you, i do not work with little rumours that will never become reality or what the papers say

To the guy who said Carlton Cole and Matty Upson would go to NUFC in return for cash and Xisco :D.. what a load of rubbish, even Gold and Sullivan aren't that stupid, although they did buy Benni McCarthy.

Real rumours for West Ham are:

OUTS
Cole for approx 6mill + Shorey and Reo Coker VILLA
Upson and Green to ARSENAL for combined 12 mill
Spector going to WEST BROM for 2 mill
Diamanti back to Italy
Mido, Franco and Ilan out
Kovac out

INS
O'Hara from SPURS
Ferreira from Chelsea
Balotelli, & Wilshere in on loan
Scmeichel on a free

They will also be shopping for a CF, CB and winger.

Big changes at Upton Park!

Liverpool have finalised a deal to bring Jonjo Shelvey to Anfield for an initial fee of £1.7million which could rise to £3million, he has come down from Charlton and passed his medical today. Already Liverpool are looking to sign another youngster in 15 year old Kristoffer Peterson.Liverpool's academy is continuing to go from strength to strength as Kenny Daglish and Rafa Benitez are bringing in the best young talent and Rafa is expecing to spend between £10–£15million of his £50million[+sales]budget on kids in an attempt to compete with Arsenal for having the best young players in the country coming through, much like Arsenal have done over the past couple of years, Arsene has been willing to invest in kids for years and look at the players coming through down there at the minute Ramsey/Walcott/Wilshere/Gibbs/Merida/Vela and Eastmond , I expect most of these especially Ramsey and Wilshere to become really top quality players. And hopefully in the next couple of years players like Kelly/Pacheco/Sterling/ Fernandez/Peteron and Shelvey will go on to become household names.

To the guy who posted about liverpool signing the majority of real madrids cast offs, get a grip mate, why would rafa sign all these players who he ambarresed in the champions league last season? Rafa will wait till after the world cup b4 hs signs anyone.. But the club are looking to sign:
kolorov:8 million
jovanovic: Free
carlton cole: 11 million

Like every other club do we will sign someone who has a good world cup.

To the deluded lfc fan who said this:
"Liverpool to sign:VDV 6.5 million? first refusal due to Alonso DealLass 14 million?first refusal due to Alonso DealHiguain 18 million?first refusal due to Alonso DealJonjo Shelvey 1.7 million + add onsMatthew Upson 5 millionBelhadj 3 Million ( back up )Raheem Stirling (already done)Roughly 50 million spent due to new investmentTHE JOVANOVIC DEAL IS DEAD DUE TO HIS DEMANDS OF 97K PER WEEK"

firstly vdv is worth over twice the amount you listed. liverpool do not get first refusal over the alonso deal, alonso wanted to join a better team and real madrid bidded for him and he wanted to go. where you get this first refusal crap from i do not know.
higuan has stated be fore that he will not play football in england ever so no.
rafa won't spend 50mil mate don't be silly he is trying to get 55mil to spend alll of next year and only half of that will be used for transfers. the rest will be for paying out clauses and contracts etc aswell as youth signings.

arsenal news
arshavin may leave for barcelona expect a £13mil price tag + thierry henry.
wenger will leave to coach the french national team when his contract is over unless he wins a trophy or 2 this season. if he leaves mourinho or pep gourdoila will be the only people that would replace him since they are the only ones that can adopt to arsenes style of play.

27 Apr 2010 23:32:39
Ronaldinho and Raul to be joining Liverpool to bolster the strikeforce Raul – Free, Ron – £8m

Also VDV – £10–£15M

27 Apr 2010 23:10:24
Can we please stop all the celtic fans coming on going on about rangers are finished, look at th debt blah blah, you should be worrying about the mess at your own club, do you all listen to the radio our chairman has came out and promised there will be money available for new players so why would he do that if it wasn't going to happen therefor causing a backlash. On to rumours, news of a bust up behind the scenes regarding Boyd safe to say he's off to the epl, beasley to leave on a free, stevie smith leaving on a free, novo to sign a new contract, no idea who will come in probably young scootish based players on smaller wages, doesn't matter because Celtic are in a mess massive rebuilding needed 3 in a row goin to be a stroll

27 Apr 2010 22:58:39
If arsenal are to sell clichy, sagna and arsharvin those sales could generate up to 60m. with other sales on top such as eboue and Eduardo arsenal could have up to 80m just from sales. some players that wenger should be looking at are David silva 20m–25m, Karim benzema 25m, David villa 25m–30m, Gonzalo higuain 20m–30m, Carlos tevez 20m–30m, Eden hazard 13m–20m, subotic 13m–20m, van der vaart 10m–15m, bastian schwienstieger 15m–25m, van der wiel 8m, hangeland, mexes, matthews, di Maria, melo 10m, metzelder, neuer, Frey, lloris, adler, sissoko, sakkho, hart, rodallega, zapatta, cahill, senna nzogbia and diarra. I know most of these are extremely unlikely but its who wenger should look at to boost his title chances
