 27 Nov 2010 16:58:37
Plymouth will be taken over by peter risdale according to my mate in the club shop, but I still think that Chris dawson will mount a bid. My mate also reckons that Risdale has spoken to Peter Reid, Risdale although controversial, never does things by half, if he does take control cash will be seriously splashed. Plymouth need 2 central midfielders Ryan Harley from Exeter would be one, the other George Boyd peterborough. Strikers Adam le fondre Rotherham, Craig mackaill smith peterborough. These players are pure guesswork but it makes sense, players with high sell on value with great potential, Risdale has always been a big, big spender so its only putting 2 and 2 together.(8)(4)

Sam Allardyce is 70% likely to be sacked by the new Blackburn owners.

If he is, England will sack Capello and pay him off (to prevent any legal challenges) leaving the way open to Sam Allardyce becoming the new England manager.

Make that 100% after losing 7-1 at Old Trafford!

No chance of him being England boss though - would rather have Mourinho as England manager but don't think he'd want the job.(7)(21)

In response to people saying that leeds are interested in signing austin from swindon- i very much doubt we ( leeds) are intersted in austin or any other striker, we are scoring goals for fun this season, we have 4 quality strikers at the club one of which cost us nearly a million quid only 3 months ago ( mccormack from cardiff) and who can't get in the starting 11 at the moment. if we sign any players it will be a center back and defensive midfielder. having said that i do believe if we wanted to sign austin we would have a good chance. we have money in the bank and if he likes the quiet country life, the yorkshire moors are only a 10 minute drive from our training ground in north leeds. garyd MOT(5)(8)

 27 Nov 2010 10:00:29
D do you think plymouth will enter admintration or liquidation?

{Editor's Note: I hope that Gardner can find a way to avoid it. No one wants to see a club in trouble like that.}

ed what do you think will happen to argyle before december the 8th? and how much will it cost to buy the club?

{Editor's Note: It is something that I have no knowledge of aside from what I have read, so I cannot offer any real opinion here. Sorry, but I truly hope all is well.}

ed is our finacial problems worse than sheffield wednesday? {ed's note - yes and no mate, it is a difficult question to answer because it depends on how you judge them. In terms of money owed no, but in terms of capacity to repay the money owed, yes.}

ed whats your opinion on whats going to happen with plymouth? {ed's note - unless the fans can get the money together to buy out the club, I fear Ridsdale is going to take over, though he might well fail the fit and proper persons test. If he did take over it would just mean that you would face even worse problems in a couple of years. The other guy that keeps being put forward doesn't seem to have made an offer, but hopefully it will just be that the board are doing things professionally and quietly and someone else will take over. Either way I think the only long term answer for Argyle is for the fans to take over, if it is possible.}(6)(4)

In a surprise twist, after visiting the ribble valley
and skipton areas Charlie Austin has decided to
join Leeds in January. £600k.

~~~
Mate Swindon have already turned down bids for him for £700k so why the hell would the sell him to you for £600k.
Anyway if you think you've got any chance of signing him then dream on ahah! !(6)(15)
Darren Ferguson did a last minute deal before the loan deadline to re-sign Josh King on loan. In exchange for signing King, Ferguson Jr. will do the dishes and the vacuuming for the next month.(20)(4)
Mansfield Town manager:
I have heard that the club have approached the following out-of-work bosses:
Martin Allen (slight interest, wages a sticking point)
Jim Harvey (quite likely, is interested in the job)
Martin Foyle (a good bet, odds shortened and is based in the north)
Peter Jackson (quite interested, wants to get back into management and also is quite local to Notts.)
I would say Jackson is the fave but don't count Harvey or Foyle out. Allen is a long-shot and is more likely to wait for a vacancy at a league club (Gillingham job may be available soon, and he would be onto that like a shot).(2)(8)
Also, I'm a neighbour of Charlie Austin and he has said that the rumours are very funny but not true. He is about to sign a new long-term deal at Swindon, and has said he's rather play with them than move to a club at which he'll be unhappy at. He lives in a beautiful part of Wiltshire, and wants to stay there with his girlfriend - he's even prepared to give up an England call just to stay where he is.
-----------------------------------------------------
I too spoke with Charlie Austin recently, and he said the same as you - he's settled and doesn't want to move.
You are wrong as to his relationship status, but that's understandable as some people think he's in a relationship - Charlie and his ex are still close, and have a charity set-up after they lost their child (it was that stress which drove them apart, amongst a few other things which I will not mention out of respect for Charlie - nothing illegal or immoral though!) but even that would not make him move. He's disappointed that Swindon have not made progress this season, but is committed to the club in the long run and has only good things to say about his team-mates and the club owners and management staff.
One rumour I can confirm for you, which you may have heard tonight if you were at the Crawley game is that Danny has only one game to save his career. After the disappointing result (1-1 in case anybody wanted to know) I think that Danny is finished here. I noticed his body language was that of a man who had given up, and the new manager rumours have already started. Glenn Roeder was, apparently, at the game tonight - so whether or not he's being lined up as the new boss I don't know. I would welcome him as a potential new manager and I think he would do well for us. Alan Pardew has been approached, but he wants more than the club's wage structure will allow and has also said he would prefer to manage a club in the Premiership or Championship.(6)(2)
 27 Nov 2010 03:48:11
Chris Dawson will buy out Plymouth before 15 December, as Peter Ridsdale will not be allowed under FA sanctions to bid for the club.
Plymouth will strengthen in January, and have a few Premiership loan targets and out-of-favour Championship players in mind.
Kevin Phillips is a possibility, but I have heard that he may prefer a move towards London/ Hertfordshire. Watford are on red alert for him and also Andy Johnson if Fulham sign Marvin Sordell from them (Sordell would cost £5m which Watford cannot turn down as their financial health is still dicey).
Things are beginning to look up at Home Park, and Plymouth will look to go up next season.(10)(6)
 27 Nov 2010 04:07:56
Sam Allardyce is 70% likely to be sacked by the new Blackburn owners.
If he is, England will sack Capello and pay him off (to prevent any legal challenges) leaving the way open to Sam Allardyce becoming the new England manager.(5)(59)
 27 Nov 2010 08:51:35
Plymouth argyle will be bought by peter risdale next week and will give reid 3 mil in january while he will also clear of debts.(7)(15)
