Weimann looked good when he was at Watford before, a really hard worker. Only problem was he lacked a killer finish but he seems to have developed that since then and is scoring a few for Villa lately. Would like it if he came back but I imagine Villa will ensure he signs an extension soon.

Interesting - I've seen him play a few times this year and MacKay is certainly setting the Highlands alight with his goal scoring this season. He's come on in leaps and bounds since leaving Leicester and Northampton, but whether or not he could repeat that success in England I'm not too sure. I doubt we would steal him the same way we stole Don Cowie though.

Why only when we go up he wouldn't get into our team at the moment eben though he has scored a lot of goals

It's a common sense way of running a football club. The Pozzo's are clearly very astute businessmen who are speculating to accumulate. We just happen to be the lucky chosen club. It's either that or be another Pompey which is where we were rapidly heading. Yellow Aaaaaarmy!

Weimann been on loan at Watford under different managers and he's a good player but not as good as Vydra so unlikely.

Udinese are our 'parent club' now are they? Oh whatever next, I hope that was a slip of the tongue; I refer to them as cousins

Weimann is a good striker, I wouldn't mind him at Watford. If Villa get relegated and we're promoted then I think he would like to come back.

Its actually former Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon who is singing for Crawley next week

Will a Watford fan come on here and tell me how this Pozzo merry-go-round of players can be considered to be within the coming FFP rules? You say you'll get Vydra etc on perm' deals, but assume that will be at a fraction of their true value as your one-man-and-a-dog crowds can barely support a Cahampionship squad, let alone quality internationals.

Well if we pay nothing for them, how can we be in debt? The simple fact is, it's a fantastic idea, and all the other championship teams are envious. Give me this over a middle eastern businessman who will get bored in a few years. Forza Watford!

Quite simple they are not loans. They signed permanent contracts on a short term say the season. We can then sign them on a long term contract should Watford and the player wish. The owners have money hence trying to get Helan from Man City. The only lad on loan is Chalobah from Chelsea from memory.

One man and a dog fans? Gets ya ducks lined up mate, for attendance figures to % of population of town, WFC have the 2nd best attendances in the country(M'boro are 1st). WFC are doing no wrong in how we have bought loan players in, we just found a loop hole. I usually find those that complain in football issues like this are usually jealous, I'm guessing it's the same here. Most Championships sides would love a 'proper' football family as their owners, we have access to one of the best scouting systems in the world, one of the up and coming managers in the game, are now considered to be the best 'counter attacking' team in the Championship and we will be in the Premiership soon, maybe not this year but soon.

Certainly - it is very straightforward and even financially challenged minds will surely understand this.
Imagine you are Mr Pozzo and have your trousers on - in you back pocket you have your own cash - in your left front you have your club Udinese and in the right the other Watford. What you do is this you take an asset (lets say Matej Vydra) out of your left pocket and transfer it to the right. Then you go to your back pocket and take out cash and put it in the right pocket. Then Watford pay Udinese - so you take the money out of your right pocket and put it in the left. Then you say- mmm I own Udinese and they have a load of cash and I need some because I just lent it to Watford - I will ask Udinese to repay some of the loans I made to them - so you take money out of the left pocket and put it back where it started in the back pocket. Net Result - Pozzo now has loaned money to Watford not Udinese and Watford now have the asset (Vydra) It is exactly the same as other situations where shareholders make investments - in Watfords case the owners invest something far more valuable than money in their companies - they invest assets that score goals and lots of them.
See - not so odd after all and completely within the rules as overseas loans are treated as sales by the authorities so they can lend us 20 players if they like and they could all play!
When FFP comes along the rules will still be complied with because the proportion of the wages that Watford have to pay will be within the limits. After promotion, there is not even any need for that to be an issue because of the boost to the revenue line that promotion brings. The concept is only contentious because it is not well understood but it really is quite normal outside of football for business owners to apply their groups assets as they choose and any attempt to prevent that would not be legal as long as the terms of the deals are not dodgy (like maybe transfer pricing dodges like Starbucks etc)

Low wages + free transfers + selling high at players peak = profit + investment in sustainability

Watford also always include 5 home grown youngsters from the Academy in each match day squad so this 'all foreigners' message so off target.

If the way the Pozzo family run Watford FC breaks the FFP rules then why didn't the FA block the sale of the club?? Would rather have the options we have at the club then a just a rich owner buying people left right and Center!! At least we are now financially stable and even more so we don't have to sell are best players for half there price tags!! All facts people, just get used to it!!

We're ripping up this league now and fans of the bigger clubs cannot stand it.

Everytime we beat one of these clubs with deluded fans, such as Forest, Wednesday, Leeds, Leicester it's the same story, "how can a tin pot club like Watford beat them."

Wigan and Swansea have joined the race to sign Ghana's Albert Adomah from Bristol City, though no official bids made from either team yet. Aston Villa and Fulham have sent scouts to watch the player in the African Nations Cup.
Crystal Palace have made a bid of £1m which was turned down by City.
Rumours of Reading being interested are wide of the mark.
It seems certain that Adomah will move in the January window - the only question is to where and for how much - as usual in the January window the selling club is in a good position when it is a player who has a long contract - expect the price to reach at least £3m

Doubt if the Swans are aftre him now that they have signed the Belgian winger on loan from Osasuna

Price will get nowhere near £3 Million, will stop short of £1.5 if you're lucky

If it's £1.5m then he won't be going anywhere.
