It's not Gary monk the defender bristol city are signing its Dawson of west brom is due for medical in the morning fee been agreed of 1.4 million , there will be up to four players leaving Ashton gate this week but adomah won't be one set to sign a 3 year extension and also been told the dj Campbell deal not dead could still be something there
Dawson has got a very bright future at WBA so even if he left to get first team experience it would be on loan or for alot more than 1.4 mil as he has represented team GB and England U21s

Ipswich aiming to make 3 signings before the end of the transfer window. They will look to bring in Paul Gallagher from Leicester for around 700k, Jay Bothroyd from QPR for an initial season loan with a view to a permanent contract next summer and finally Kelvin Wilson from Celtic for £400 k.

Middlesbrough are waiting to see if Swansea will match the £6M valuation they have placed on Marvin Emnes.
Swansea are also considering Tom Ince from Blackpool if they cannot get Emnes.
If Boro do sell Emnes then they will try and get Roque Santa Cruz from Man City or Frazier Campbell from Sunderland on a season long loan deal.
Harry Kewell remains an option but Mowbray would only consider him on a pay as you play deal. Kewell wants a 12 month contract with an option of a further 12 months after so many appearances for the club.

i have it on good info that coppinger is going to barnsley before deadline day. keith hill has spoken to him and will sign him in january transfer window permernatly.
Maybe if Matt Done is sold to Palace but at the moment I can't see Hill wanting him permanently as we have a load of attacking players who will be back from injury in a few weeks - the idea behind the Coppinger loan was to cover injuries.
Coppinger would be a good player for us,far better than Done,ifwe can 500k for him then let him go

Rumours involving Doncaster Rovers this Sunday lunch time:-
John Ryan overheard speaking with manager Saunders after the shock defeat yesterday about freeing up money to bring in players to strengthen the spine of the team back to front. Four players which Saunders has lined up to cover the positions of keeper (Weaver you would assume), a fullback who can cover central defence as well, a "reducer" in midfield to cope with the physical play seen yesterday by Crawley, & allows others to play, & finally a tried & tested goalscorer.
Balance that though with the view heard downstairs on pitchside before the Donny Belles game yesterday, that the board want to stay in this league & not challenge for promotion because financially promotion is not in the business plan for three seasons at least!
Also the board are expecting Hull City to try a cheeky loan bid of James Coppinger with a view to buying in January 2013, but Nott Forest to offer to buy on deadline day when the price could be lower! Jaime Coppinger though wants to stay at Rovers, whilst Saunders would prefer to sell him & Martin Woods in order to remove any trace of the O'Driscoll era.
Promotion IS the aim this season, John ryan does want to get promotion as it will bring £5-6m into the club,
Also Coppinger will never leave on-loan to anywhere
we will not give DS more money as we want our club run good in financial way

Sunderland and Fulham have agreed a deal in principle for Clint Demspey. MON now just has to convince him when he arrives on Wearside on Monday for talks that his future lies with Sunderland, as his favoured destination is still Liverpool. If he can be convinced a medical will take place Tuesday and he could be unvailed as a Sunderland player ahead of the league cup game against Morecambe on Tuesday night. I can't understand Millwall 'fans' who criticize Trotter. He has been outstanding overall for us. True he has bad or indifferent games but anyone who knows football can see he is quality, maybe not a top four player but he is definitely premiership quality - why do you think the scouts are watching him!!? He would be very hard to replace for the money and wages we can afford. Look around us in the championship and the money some clubs can pay - look at Bristol City - how much do you reckon Baldock and Davies are costing them in wages? I personally think KJ has bought well on the whole. At our level it's sometimes about taking a punt - some will work out and some won't. We cant afford the finished article, get used to it and get behind the players we have got. Both Blackpool and Sheff Weds will not be far off this season and we've given both of them a game and with a bit of luck could have had a few more points. 18 out of the 24 teams in the championship have been in the premier league and most of them get bigger gates than us. Fox is not good enough for the Prem. He leaves huge gaps in the defence on the left and is not quick enough to get back when he attacks. With swindon still putting unrealistic tag of £2.5m , surely that would cool any interest from leicester,notts for and fleetwood. Bournemouth turned attention to burnley and possible pugh and treachey deal, while zuber and tubbs have also been mentioned. The clubs plans are to keep all these players as important members of strong squad, but quality additions would be welcome.
