Birmingham City are planning to sign Real Mallorca's Goalkeeper Dudu Aouate for a fee in the region of 1.7m. I also expect them to try to sign Morten Gamst Pedersen from blackburn on a free transfer as Roy Aitken and Andy Watson were at the wolves v blackburn game on saturday watching him.

26 Apr 2010 22:32:41
Brian Laws has already tied up the signings of Tommy Spurr and Gylfi Sigurdsson from Sheffield Wednesday and Reading respectively.

Both are out of contract and have signed pre–contract agreements. Due to there ages, Burnley will have to pay fees for both players.

Sean St ledger to be persued again as is another player from the championship unkown to me!

Celtic also keeping eyes on 3 hibs players (2 strikers 1 defender) Believed to be Rhordan, Stokes and Bamba! Flecher (Burnley) Bullard (Hull)

These are 100% true and I garrentee they will happen. Manchester United are going to be bought in the summer by the Red Knights. This will instantly generate much needed revenue for Manchester United. In will be a shock transfer in the way of Kaka for roughly £45–50million. After signing him, Anderson will be on his way out, with Bolton or Aston Villa the two teams after him.

The biggest signings of the summer after Kaka, is going to be James Milner. He is going to be coming in to help ease the tranisation from Ryan Giggs who will be retiring after next season

26 Apr 2010 21:21:12
You are all missing the point, so what if Skrtel isn't serbian, Kolarov and Jovanovic are already signed. Personnal terms (for both) and transfer fee (for kolarov only) have been agrred and both will have mediccals next week, will sign after this season is over. Bothwill feature in the World Cup too.
Sorry for my mistake, no need to slay me though is there ?!?!

I am a man u fan and i have read many rumours and i think we will dedintly see a cm qnd winger come in and that is all we need. A gk will come in at one of the next season transfer windows becquse van der sar has one year left in him and has proven he is still wprld class. Rafael is q good right back with neville a good back up so no right back needed. Defensive midfieldeers are plenty so attacking one needed and winger needed. Berbatov given one more season to prove himself because he is top qualitty.

Carickk may be sold with a few youngsters going out on loan.

Rooney, park, vidic, anderson, berbatov won't be sold

gourcouff 17.5M

silva 28M

i would like to see gourcouff/sneider/modric/milner and robben/silva joe cole will be bought free. Wot do u think

BEING A UNITED FAN FOR 20 YEARS I KIND OF SEE A PATTERN IN FERGIES SIGNINGS, AS WILL MANY UNITED FANS BUT I WILL HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH YOU, I DO NOT BELIEVE FERGIE WILL PAY OUT FOR A WINGER AND A CENTRAL MIDFIELDER, HE WILL BUY SOMEONE WHO CAN PLAY IN BOTH OF THESE AREA'S, MILNER, MODRIC, JOE COLE & DAVID SILVA CAN ALL PLAY LEFT SIDE AND JUST BEHIND THE STRIKER, BUT JOE COLE WILL SIGN AN EXTENSION, DAVID SILVA IS TOO EXPENSIVE AND IS NOT PROVEN IN THE PREM, MODRIC IS A POSSIBILITY BUT UNITED HAVE PROBABLY TAKEN ONE TOO MANY OF SPURS'S TOP PLAYERS AND I AM SURE LEVY WILL TAKE UNITED TO THE CLEANERS! THIS LEAVES MILNER, NOW MILNER CAN PLAY RB, LB, RW, LW AND CM! YOU MARK MY WORDS UNITED WILL BID FOR MILNER, NOT SAYING THEY WILL GET THEIR MAN BUT A BID WILL BE MADE NONETHELESS!

UNITED WILL ALSO LISTEN TO OFFERS FOR BERBATOV, UNLESS THEY MEET UNITED'S VALUATION HE WILL DEFINITELY BE AT UNITED AGAIN NEXT SEASON, IF HE IS SOLD BENZEMA OR JOVETIC WILL BE BID FOR! TROUBLE IS BENZEMA WILL WANT TO PLAY EVERY GAME AND WOULD MEAN UNITED PLAYING A 4–4–2, FERGIE LIKES HIS 4–5–1 AND COULD FIT JOVETIC INTO THAT SCENARIO AS HE CAN PLAY AS BOTH STRIKER AND ATTACKING MIDFIELDER! JOVETIC WOULD BE MY PREFERRED CHOICE!

UNITED ARE IN NO RUSH TO GET A KEEPER, THEY WILL TRY THEIR BEST TO GET AKINFEEV FOR A LOW FEE OR FOR FREE IF THEY CAN WIN HIS SIGNATURE, BUT IF THEY MISS OUT I AM SURE THEY WILL PUT IN A DECENT BID FOR DE GEA NEXT SEASON!

JOVETIC AND MILNER WOULD COST AROUND 45 MILLION, IF UNITED COULD GET 18 MILLION FOR BERBATOV, 500K FOR GRAY, 5 MILLION FOR TOSIC UNITED WILL ONLY NEED TO RAISE 22 MILLION!

Both Hibs & Hearts will have major player changes next season

Hibs will lose Stokes and Bamba to the Old Firm in Glasgow, Benjelloun, Zemmama will move to North Africa, and a host of midfielders will be moved on around other Scottish teams.
I understand Gary O'Connor will come back from B'ham to be paired up with Riordan who won't leave Hibs until 2011. I also hear that the youngish (!) Scottish full back from Man U, who can't get a game
is a cert to come to Easter Rd along with a laddie from Queens Park and Gow will stay on at Hibs and won't return to Plymouth after his loan deal ends.

26 Apr 2010 21:19:57
Man City have been given permission to bring in Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster in an emergency loan. Forster has been on loan at Norwich all season but the Canaries have given their blessing for the move.

Rangers FC.

Right lets set the record straight. Rangers are in debt yes, but who doesn't know that. Rangers are set to take in, in the region of 8/10 million pound from CL alone + season tickets + new home strip sales + pre–season friendlys + new sponsership deals arround ibrox etc etc , totaling arround the 60/70 million mark, okay whilst all that isn't pure profit a chunk of that will go to servicing debit, players and staff wages running of the club and training complex and so on. none of which Walter Smith will see and yes him and his team will be staying at ibrox.

The reason Boyd is leaving is as obvious as every one knows.. Money. Rangers will not break their wage structure .. for no one, not even Boyd, from what i have been told he has signed a pre–contract with Birmingham for in the region of 25k a week +
bonuses.

Walter Smith will have a budget for new players, however, it is to be generated from the sale of current squad members and he knows the wage structure is max of15k per week is all he has to offer and interested players who Walter is chasing plus the fact we have European football of some sort.

Players rumours to be leaving:

Boyd – Birmingham Free
McGreagor – Sunderland, Newcastle & (not sure) Arsenal 4/5 million
bougherra – Spurs, marsile, Fulham 4/5 million est.
Davis – FC twente and Benfica are looking at the the 4 million pound man
Beasley – West brom , Cardiff – 750k

Thats it.

26 Apr 2010 21:02:49
United to sign:

De Gea, Akinfeev (January)

Smalling, Dodo, Vermajil (all confirmed)

1 of Defour, Gourcouff, Milner.

Hernandez confirmed.

Joe Cole is a possibilty on the Bosman.

Fabiano is a possible as well, possibly come in for 5 million and do a job for a couple of seasons.

Possible departures, Berbatov and Carrick, a few younger players on loan or out if didn't make the grade.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over events at St. Andrews, don't expect mnay big money purchases, more sensible free's, loans, and small– medium purchases. Big Eck knows his targets and most of them are in England or Scotland with some possibilities in Spain or Holland.

Villa all depends on if Milner stays or goes and what kind of deal, straight cash or cash and players. A goal scorer is most needed and a few decent players to put on the bench as Villa have the weakest squad of the top 8 teams.

I am Liverpool fan but worked for one of the big banks for a number of years. I have only just discovered this site. H&G thought that because both banks (RBS & Wachovia) might be bought out by middle east interests, it would bring pressure to bear on the board.
I DO NOT KNOW WHO WILL BE BUYING THE CLUB. But I know the people who will be financing the deal, being in contact with those people who organise this finance. Barclays did not take UK Govt handouts – rather they got their finance by middle east financiers – it is these financiers who will be putting pressure on H&G through Barclays.

Man Utd Rumours

SAF – to stay on for at least one year (to see off giggs and scholes)

Berbatov – will be sold if an offer of around 20m comes (otherwise he will be kept for another season to prove his worth before being offloaded)

Vidic – will be kept for one more season before being sold to real (SAF wants him for one more season as he feels evans and smalling are not ready yet)

Van der Sar – will be kept for one more season. Ben Foster will be loaned out to a EPL side in hope he can find form like harte did. If not a new keeper will be bought at end of next season

Milner – will be bid on for 20m rising to 25m with appearances ect. Likely if villa finish outside 4th as milner is looking to take his career to the next level

Benzema – will be bid on for 20m with assurance that real will get vidic next season. United will pay in installments but not have to finish as vidic will be bought for 20m so it is effectively a swap. Likely as he has not been getting much game time at real and would not be on starting team next year and madrid are very keen on vidic.

Hazard – has said that he would like to move to arsenal or real but also said he would be able to fit into a team like barca or united. Therefore SAF will do whatever possible to hijack him as going to be a star. This is possible as united have been following him and his younger brother. (arsenal are favourites to sign him but thisstill might happen)

Signings:Milner, Benzema, Smalling, Hernandez, Vuckic, Hazard (?)

Player Sales: Carrick, Owen, Berbatov (?), and some others

Players on loan: Ben Foster, Macheda, Welbeck, Fabio and vuckic(back to newcastle) possibly some other youngsters

First team next year – as below, evans and smalling will be given a lot more playing as SAF wants them as a possible partership next season. Giggs and scholes will be played in midfeild ocassionally to help guide younger midfeilders. Hernandez will be third choice striker. If Hazard is bought he will be given a chance to start in midfeild insteaad of valencia or nani.

Rumours suggest that if William Gallas becomes available on a free transfer then SAF will jump at the chance to sign him so that he can sell Vidic. The money riased by Vidic will go towards a £25m bid for CAM Yoann Gourcuff of Bordeaux.

This is a JOKE not a rumour.. Gallas is not fit to wear a United Shirt. Vidic has an agreement to leave for Real and it will be part exchange for Benzema. Kaka may well arrive in the PL though most likely to City.

Fantastic to see Rangers win back to back titles, comment of the day went to wee Nacho Novo when he directed this gem at the 'Tic players "Second is NOTHING!"

Rangers owe money to Llyods and not RBS and further more SDM can't be too hard up for cash as he recently splashed the cash on his second live – wine, he has just bought a large wine importing business.

Boyd to announce he is leaving come the end of the season, his reaction or lack of at Easter Road said it all. Boughy will leave for 6–8 million, maybe as high as 9million if he has a decent world cup. Broadfoot will hopefully be told where to go. Weir will leave on a high and hang up his playing boots for a coaching role. Beasley will be told he won't be getting a new contract and will go to somewhere in Spain.

Nacho Novo will sign an extension as will young Danny Wilson. Rangers will be looking to sign a defender as back up to Webster after he returns from Dundee Utd, Goodwillie might be following him.

Alan Pardew has confirmed that neither he nor any of his major players will be leaving Southampton in the summer unless substancial bids are put forward. Pardew has also said he is looking to srengthen his side further and create a championship side to ensure that Southampton will win the league and get promoted to the championship then the premier league.
However fringe players like Ollie Lanchashire and Simon Gillett are likely to be sold

RODWELL, PIENAAR AND FELLAINI TO UNITED OBVIOUSLY, SINCE EVERTON ARE PROBABLY WORSE THAN LIVERPOOL, VILLA AND MAN CITY.

MAN UTD WILL DOMINATE THE LEAGUE AGAIN THIS AND NEXT YEAR. FERGIE TO LEAVE AND MOYES TO COME IN BECAUSE EVEN HE HAS REALISED THAT EVERTON ARE THE WORST TEAM EVER.

THEREFORE, NO ONE WILL COME IN AND EVERYONE WILL LEAVE, LEAVING THE GOODISON PARK STADIUM CARETAKERS TO TAKE THEIR PLACES.

@ 'The Scarlet Pimpernel'

Fair enough, apology accepted, I over reated a bit.

Rumours and Facts

Rumour
According to a RUMOUR flying throught the internet, the country and LFC tv, A Chinese Consortium have had a £500M bid for Liverpool Football Club (and all it's assets) accepted and will announce it publically within 2–4 weeks. They will fund the new stadium, Pay off debts and top up whatever Rafa can make from transfers to £100M. This is a very strong rumour that will most likely become a fact within weeks. It is rumoured it would make us the fourth richest team in Europe, the the consortium consists of multiple Billionaires. If true this would mean only City, Real and QPR could rival our Transfer power.

Fact
Rafa's two top targets IF he gets the money are:
Tevez (long term target who has multiple friends within the squad)
Milner (was a target 2 seasons ago but thanks to the yanks we were outbid. Would also boost British contingency in the squad)
Whether either of these targets are brought remains entirely on their current managers and Liverpools New Owners.

Fact
Serbian duo, Kolarov (£13M) and Jovanovic (Free transfer) will join fellow countryman Skrtel in the Squad next season (unless the big centre half is sold).
Van der Vaart is a dead cert for £7M (and he would have been at Anfield last summer had his wife not been suffering from breast cancer).
All other transfers so far mentioned are just possibilities and speculation as Rafa has yet to decide who else he will go for. He does have a rather long shortlist however.

Fact
RAFA is not leaving as he can now be sure of a transfer budget for the first time since joining the club 5 years ago. Torres won't go to City (as he would only play for Liverpool in EPL). He won't go to Real Madrid (as he would only play for Athletico in La Liga). Also Juventus/anyone else will be priced off the face of the earth for the clubs prize asset. LFC are no longer under any pressure to sell him and as long as he has a strike partner next season he is happy to stay.

Fact
Gerrard is having marriage problems, that is obvious, but he still loves the city, the club and more importantly his kids ! He won't leave Liverpool FC ever as he quite clearly stated in his autobiography, he plans to be a one team man, although last season we could have been called a one man team !

–ADAM

P.S. To all who say D.I.C are bidding for Liverpool, you should know it is the sheikh himself who WAS bidding for the club. D.I.C are currently £60Billion in debt so spending over £500M to buy the club, investing £300M into a new stadium, paying off £300M in debts and providing a much needed transfer kitty of £60M+ to the manager would be .. very, very, very bad business !

26 Apr 2010 17:18:29
"Newcastle rumours anyone ?"

TRUST ME THESE WILL HAPPEN:

INS:
Jimmy Bullard (hull)
Alan Hutton (spurs)

OUTS:
Steven taylor (either chelsea, everton or villa. Most likely chelsea or villa since everton are pretty crap)

Haris Vuckic (man utd)

If you believe enough in yourself, these will come true. Its up to you now.

Here we go! Back in the Premiership and all the deluded Geordies think its safe to come back onto the site (there was a time when there were loads of them on here!).
Carrick, Hazard, Bentley? The 3 would set you back at least £45 million along with their huge wages and non will move to a newly promoted side. Ashley may be supplying Hughton with cash but for gods sake fella use a bit of intelligence. This will be their first year back and its crucial they consolidate before making moves to sign players on hefty wages. With Wolves, Bolton, WBA, Sunderland, Wigan and one of Forest, Leicester Blackpool, Swansea or Cardiff, there's plenty of crap scrapping it out for a place in the bottom 3 next year. United should have enough in their locker to survive and kick on. Ashley will give Hughton money to buy sensible players – the days of big money marquee signings is well and truly over. Expect around £20–25m available although some will be kept back to allow for emergency transfers come January if required. The likes of Bullard, Vela (on loan), Senderos (free) and O'Hara are of the calibre MA/CH will be looking at. The only Bentley you'll be seeing at St James's Park next season is Ashley's in the car park!
Great to see Newcastle back, but quit with the bullsht rumours boys!

I know for a fact that an insider in Chelsea FC told me well and truely that we have already signed Sergio Aguero and he has been looking round the stadium and talking to Roman Abramovic

26 Apr 2010 15:58:48
First off, i have heard Celtic are sounding out Terry Butcher as their new manager, they like he has plenty of experience with the scottish players and has done so well at Cally
secondly, im an owls fan, if we are demoted tonight or saturday out will go Grant, Beevers, Tudgay and Johnson, as well as Jeffers and Clarke on frees, we are due new investment in the next few weeks regardless of divisio, but Irvine still can't plan for incoming players as that will depend on the League.
Zola is staying at west ham, unless he chooses to resign
Mclaren is coming home with sheffield utd interested in replacing blackwell.

I heard yesterday that David Murray (Rangers owner) has seen his personal fortune go down by £390m in the last year due to the recession , his business empire has also posted losses of £700m over the same period , the poor chap is down to his last £100m , and needs his £50m stake in Rangers back NOW ! , add that to the £33m they owe RBS and its clear Rangers are in deeper "sht" than Aaron Dingle's willy , enjoy it while you can chaps , we will be back for our title next season .

Liverpool FC News: It's now public knowledge that despite interest from various parties, two main contenders are battling it out for full ownership of the club. Hong Kong's Kenneth Huang and Dubai's Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum are believed to be the two men involved. The new Liverpool chairman, Martin Broughton, has been tasked with finding a suitable owner (after discussions with Christian Purslow and SOS) whilst also getting the best price for the club. It is understood that Rafa Benitez's job as manager is safe guarded as both parties want to keep him on board. The current rumours linking Benitez with Juventus are a smokescreen to distract attention from the sale of the club.

My wife, Sandra (54), works in corporate finance and is often party to inside knowledge about the arrangements of certain clubs. I support Liverpool myself and work in nightclub entertainment in the city which brings me into contact with quite a few ex–reds and current players. No news on that front, I'm afraid, but our blue friends down the East Lancs look to be having an interesting summer. My wife tells me that Mancini will be out in the summer ahead of a huge outlay on a small number of players with Kaka touted (yet again) as a target. Benzema and Hernández have also been mentioned as it seems that Tevez might be moving on yet again due to attitude problems.

Traore will move on and Botelho will be promoted to replace him.

With the season coming to an end in Europe, some surprises ahead regarding the teams falling outside of the CL places..

Despite the form of Chamakh and Gourcuff, Bordeaux are looking highly unlikely to qualify for the Champions League next season. Lyon are also teetering on the brink. Chamakh will be heading to Arsenal in the summer, but will Gourcuff be following him? Many rumours around that Wenger has indeed struck a deal for the midfield maestro who he's been tracking for years. Tomas Rosicky could move in the opposite direction. He would cost approx £18–20m.

Juventus will not be playing CL football next season. Therefore, rumours of Torres following Benitez to Turin are well wide of the mark. Torres will favour a £50m move to Barca, while Ibrahimovic could return to Italy with AC Milan.

Carlos Tevez could be heading for Real Madrid or Juventus. Real would be interested in a deal involving Gonzalo Higuain moving in the opposite direction.

Dimitar Berbatov is the striker Bayern want to partner Mario Gomes next season, the deal is likely to worth around £12m.

Edin Dzeko is likely to leave Wolfsburg in the summer with Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Juventus all keen.

Real Madrid – Royston Drenthe, Rafael Van der Vaart, Kaka, Christophe Metzelder all heading for the door this summer. Chelsea are favourites to land Kaka.

Barca – Henry will leave for New York Red Bulls, Clichy (Arsenal) targeted as LB (£15–18m).

I'm a huge Newcastle fan, though you may think some of my opinions are somewhat bias, i'm going from what i've heard.

Albin – free (would do amazing for the toon)

Carrick – 8–12, 12–15(these are the prices i've heard. Carrick would also do amazing at newcastle)

David Bentley – 10m(brilliant buy)

Lavezzi – 5–8m(only 24 and a brilliant player)

Jimmy Bullard – N/A( I hope not)

I also think Newcastle should try get: Aiden McGeady and some young players like Pjanic, Sissoko, Perotti, Hazard. these are all brilliant players that can turn into leading stars and arn't really heard of at the moment.

I also read on sky sports that Ashley has given Hughton 60m for transfers. "Wild speculation has suggested that owner Mike Ashley may be prepared to offer Hughton a £60million transfer warchest to reinforce his squad, with the likes of Hull City's Jimmy Bullard being reported as an early target."

RUMOUR

Apparently Everton are in the process of due diligence which will see the club sold to a bunch of American or European (depending on who you hear it from) investors. These investors were previously interested in Liverpool, or so it is claimed, but believe Everton have a better manager, squad and set–up. Everton will also be considerably cheaper.

As Bill Kenwright would say: WATCH THIS SPACE!

The management merry–go–round is to swing into action:

Gianfranco Zola (West Ham to Italy U21 Full Time)
Alan Pardew (Southampton to West Ham)
Eddie Howe (Bournemouth to Southampton)
Dean Holdsworth (Newport Co to Bournemouth)
Terry Burton (Cardiff City to Newport Co)
David Jones (Cardiff City to Hibernian)
Henrik Larsson (Dual Manager at Celtic with Neil Lennon)

Alan Curbishley (new Cardiff boss)'

Part right my friend..

Zola will have left West Ham by the summer – he does not get on with the porn brothers and feels that they are undermining him.

Pardew to return? Can't see it myself, and I don't think he'd want to come back. He's doing well with Southampton and is happy there. Southampton will be back in the Premiership soon, whereas I can see West Ham going the other way. David Jones is a candidate for the West Ham job, and after doing well at Cardiff even with idiot fans putting him down I think he'd be a good choice for them.

Eddie Howe's staying at Bournemouth now that their tax problem is over. They'll sign a few players in the summer and get a few loanees from Spurs, Pompey and Southampton and will probably look to a mid–table finish next season.

Dean Holdsworth, likewise, will stay at Newport and then look for a League 2 position. He's done well for Newport but he's not yet good enough to be a league manager.

Agree on Curbishley to Cardiff – a good manager and the right man to take them into the Premiership. Did hear before that Henrik Larsson was approached by an interested investor who got the 'cold shoulder' after the Malaysian interest. Maybe Larsson will instead be at Celtic Park next year?

26 Apr 2010 12:10:00
Man Utd Transfer Targets

United will attempt to land a LW, an AM, a striker and possibly a GK. Their targets will be:

LW: Ribery, DiMaria, Silva, A Young

AM: Gourcuff, Defour, Jovetic, Hamsik

ST: Benzema, Aguero, Pato, Lukaku, etc

GK: Lloris, Neuer, Akinfeev

They will try and sign one of each group, with the players in order from most desired to least. Money should be little issue as we still have the Ronaldo money, plus the annual 25mil plus any sales from the summer. And that's assuming the Glazers don't sell the club to someone with bigger pockets. Also, please stop writing about Rooney going to Madrid. To the lunatic who thinks a Rooney/Vidic for Kaka/Benzema swap is going to happy, please start taking your meds again. Rooney is not going anywhere, and if he did, why would United sell arguably the best striker and best defender in the world for two players massively underachieving and massively overpriced? Im excited for the transfer window to open, as i believe chaos will ensue before the world cup as clubs like United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid, Juve, etc are all likely to make big moves and want to do so before any prices skyrocket due to world cup performances.

Newcastle rumours anyone ?

26 Apr 2010 11:29:24
Some of the changes that might happen at Arsenal.
First the frees. Chamakh will come in. Metzelder is a strong possibility. He is 29 so Arsenal will offer him a 3 year deal and he doesn't have big wage demands because of his injury problems in the past. Also Gallas will leave as Arsenal won't give him anywhere near the 85,000 a week he is on now.
If Joe Cole is still a free agent leading up to the World Cup Arsenal WILL offer him a deal.
A new goalkeeper will be brought but it won't be Robert Green and Man City won't sell Joe Hart.I think it will likely be Neuer.
One more CB will come in likely to be Cahill with Wilshire going the other way for a season and the fee would likely be about 12 million. If not Hangeland or Mexes will come in with Campbell staying another year.
Hazard will come in for 13 million plus add on possibly bring it to 20.The same kind of figure that was done for Arshavin and Reyes. They will but another CM with the choices being Fellaini/Toulalan and if money is tight Scott Parker may come in or even a bid for Michael Carrick.

Writng this under this name because I have to admit I could get sacked if anyone found out. As we all know, Zola is leaving in the summer. This is no big secret, he is going to go back to Italy and may suprise a few people with the club he ends up with. I have heard via where I am that Inter Milan could end up appointing him if, and this is a big if, Man City do NOT qualify for the Champions League as, if they don't, Mourinho will be taking over at Manchester City with Mancini sacked.

Anyway, the main reason I am on here is to post this. The next West Ham manager will be Steve Bruce. He will take over very quietly during the world cup and will also br bringing Darren Bent along with him so he can partner Carlton Cole in an all english forward line. Darren Bent will be signed for £10 million with one of a number of players set to go in the opporsite direction. Believe me, I could get in trouble for telling you this.

Seriously I'm a Newcastle fan and even I can laugh at this why would Sunderland who are now breaking in to the top 10 of the premier league let their manager and best player leave? Sunderland signed Bent for £12 million when he was a sub for Spurs he has over 20 goals this season and should be in the World Cup squad his value woould now be in the range of £20 million which is way off what West Ham could afford given your recent debt.

Rumours i've heard include.

Newcastle In
O'Hara
Albin
Beckford

Sunderland In

Kieren Westwood will join Aston Villa for 6m from Coventry City in the summer.
Coventry will then replace him with Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis for 1m.
Also joining The Sky Blues are Stephen Caldwell(Burnley, Free), Stephen Jordan(Burnley, Free), Jonny Howson(Leeds, 600k + Michael Doyle), George Boyd (Peterborough, 800k), Mustafa Carayol(Torquay, 150k), Rob Hulse (Derby, 1.2m) and either Gary Hooper(Scthorpe, 1.5m) or Simeon Jackson(Gillingham, 400k).

Leaving The Ricoh will be Kieren Westwood(Aston Villa, 6m), Stephen Wright(Tranmere, Free), Marcus Hall(Walsall, Free), Elliott Ward(Preston, Free), Michael Doyle(Leeds, P–Ex), Jon Stead(Ipwich, Loan Return), Dimi Konstantopoulos(Aris, Free), Freddie Sears(West Ham, Leon Return), Leon Barnett(West Brom, Leon Return), Adam Walker(Nuneaton, Free), Curtis Wynter(Nuneaton, Free) and Ashley Cain (Oxford, Free).

I have also hear rumours that Chris Coleman could be leaving Coventry to take up the managers position @ Swansea, as this will become vacant when Paulo Sousa joins Celtic.
Rumour has it, that Stuart Pearce will become the new manager and will use his England U'21 connection to attract some young stars to Coventry City.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has struck personal terms with Juventus, it has been revealed.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Benitez met with his agent Manuel Garcia Quillon at Liverpool's training camp in Madrid last week.

Juventus and Quillon have apparently ironed out a contract worth €4.5m a year.

They also managed to get Benitez to accept to reduce his staff from 12 to six personnel.

However, the conclusion of any deal depends on Liverpool's new President Martin Broughton who is currently trying to find a buyer for the club.

Juve want Benitez to negotiate a release from his contract at Liverpool as they're not interested in paying compensation for the Spaniard.

Liverpool have set aside £15m to prise away Britain's top youngsters, and join their reserves, academy and First Team. Raheem Sterling has joined for £2m and has joined the Academy. John Cofie from Man Utd, has been targeted by Liverpool to sign a pro contract and play in the reserves. He would cost £700k. Jonjo Shelvey from Charlton, is set to join Liverpool's first team next season and will cost around £3m. Announcement should be next week, stating that a deal has been concluded. Connor Wickham from Ipswich, has also been targeted. He is also a major target for Chelsea and Man City, but with the examples of Sterling, Cofie and Shelvey, plus the chance to be coached by Kenny Dalglish, he is expected to also join at the end of the season. £6m he would cost, however he may spend next season back at Ipswich on loan. Danny Wilson from Rangers is also expected to sign for Liverpool, with the Scot also spending next season back at Rangers. He would come with a £3m price tag.

Just to recap:
–Sterling £2m
–Cofie £700k
–Shelvey £3m
–Wickham £6m
–Wilson £3m

Liverpool have signed 18 year old Jonjo Shevley from Charlton in a deal that could see the fee rise to £3million pounds. This follows the signing of 15 year old Raheem Sterling from QPR in February and it really shows that the Reds are finally looking to bring in the best young English talents.Liverpool had to fight off Arsenal for both of these youngsters, Arsenal have been doing it for years and have a great academy even Liverpool's merseyside rivals Everton have a great academy. I think since last year when Rafa and Daglish got full control of the academy they have made massive improvements, the academy has been heavily critised for not producing a first team player since the likes of Gerrard and Warnock over ten years ago but I think we will start seeing some brilliant players coming out of the academy in the next couple of years.

26 Apr 2010 02:26:49

David Weir will be leaving Rangers at the end of the season, the 39 year old is surplass to requirements at Ibrox. Not wanting to retire he will be joining PNE on a 1 year playing conctract and then join DF's coaching staff.

lol im a celtic fan but with bougherra leaving at the end of the seaosn and the fact that weir has played every minute of the spl season this year i don't think he is surpluss to requirements lol

anyway back to the land of second place, horrid squad now i know faithful through and through is the thought but i mean this is bad times. We will win the league next year with rangers in financial meltdown but that is nothing to be proud of, expect keane and maybe another big signing but alot of offloads
