If the rumours about the Kraft family being the big investors in LFC this summer it's good news for the club for a few reasons. First, I know that a lot of locals will be displeased that an American businessman would take over their beloved team, but there's something you should understand. The Kraft family are very well known for their love of sports and the family atmosphere they have at their other franchise (more on that in a sec). They are very good owners in the fact that if a person is part of the team, they are part of the family. They won't do anything like clean house and sell players. They will however clean house and improve the facilities that the team uses. People will want to play for them and that can only be good for LFC. Second, their other franchise, the New England Patriots, were also-rans for years and years, languishing somewhere around "pretty good" for a long time. But the Krafts bought them out from the Gillettes (the razor people) and renovated the team correctly. They didn't overspend to build a brand new park, but made improvements to Foxboro that changed a muddy winter field to one of the best outdoor playing surfaced in the league and put in comforts for the fans. It's now one of the best places in the league to take in a game (unless its dead of winter of course). Finally, the Krafts DONT get involved with managerial decisions. They are very aware where their own abilities lie and know that others are the ones to make the day-to-day decisions. Oh, and did I mention the Patriots have won 3 of the last 5 Super Bowls? All in all, if LFC does really need an investor, you couldn't wish for better.

Thank you for the true but extremely long winded usa world cup commentary. But I think you clearly forgot that this is a site for RUMOURS!!!!! There was no rumour there.......anyway here I go

-The Phil

My name is Luciano Marcotti and I'm of Italian descent. I live in London with my two cousins. My father's side of the family are all Juventus crazy, with my father and his father before him being board members at one time. My mother's family are different, all Roman, the members who have done well for themselves are Lazio fans, the rest Roma who represent the working class.

Anyway, I'm here to talk about Juventus. As you all no in Englant, Juve along with four other clubs are due to be relegated. This will see many star players leave the club.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has appeared as a target for Bayern Munich, Barca and Real Madrid, the latter depending on the Presedential winner. The Swede will cost about £15-£25million.

Pavel Nedved has emerged as a target for a host of European clubs. Dortmund, Monaco, PSG, Everton, Tottenham, Sparta Prague, Red Bull Salzburg and Celtic all interested in taking Nedved away from Turin.

David Trezeguet doesn't merit a place in the city never mind team, his performances for France prove this so. Arsenal or River Plate to sign him.

Manuele Blasi has left for Fiorentina, whereas Adriano Mutu will leave for another Italian club, or possibly return to Eastern Europe. Roma, Lazio, Inter as well as, Lokomotiv Moscow, Sparta Prague, Red Bull Salzburg, Ausrtia Magna, FBK Kaunas, Dynamo Kiev, Dimano/Stuea/Rapid Bucharesti all want him.

Patrick Vieira is apparently 'homesick'. Whether that is London or the South of France is another matter, but expect Juve to offload him. Tottenham are ready to make a cheeky bid, but Arsenal may take him back. Marseille, Monaco bidding war, but Lyon and PSG want to tempt him north. Again, depending on Presedential winner Real Madrid are interested(not same candidate that wants Zlatan).

With all these players being let go, the reamaining stars will be looked upon to show their true colours. Buffon, Cannavaro, Zebina, Emerson, Zambrotta, Camoranesi and Del Piero. All these players will be expected to do the right thing as Juventus' darkest days in Serie C1 loom ahead.

Now to Roma. My grandfather, who is sadly no longer with us was the Godfather of Francesco Totti. I speak to Totti regularly and he has told

me that unless he gets an improved offer he will leave. Despite Roma being the team that will replace Juve as Champions League seeds they are failing to sign big names. Already Pippo Inzaghi and Antonio Cassano~(return) have rejected them. Totti, along with Perrota, Mancini, De Rossi and Chivu are all set to leave.

Zinedine Zidane is retiring, ok? NO moving to Rangers or anyone like that. Ronaldo-Rangers? The piece just doesn't fit the puzzle, why would he move to Rangers when he is wanted by the likes of Inter Milan. No offense to Rangers fans, it's just some of you post rubbish. Aswell as that LFC guy I am excited about Bellamy at Liverpool, his pace is frightening. Alves has packed his bags for Liverpool, he's just waiting on the price of the transfer, LFC and Sevilla will compromise on a fee around 9.5 million to 10 million. Wigan made a 10 million pound bid for West Brom trio Zoltan Gera, Nathan Ellington and Curtis Davies. Curtis Davies is worth about 6.5 million on his own, Zoltan Gera about 3 million, and Nathan Ellington 2.5 million, Wigan just didn't offer enough. There bid has already been rejected. Benfica have said that only Simao will be able to leave them this summer, apart from the deadwood of the team. People are saying Dirk Kuyt to Liverpool is a done deal, there are a host of clubs in for his signature, lets just wait and see after the World Cup. And -----KM----, I hope you're right mate, I really do.....

Riquelme is to slow for EPL, SAF is watching him closely, I belive that he is not going to Man Utd. H S Veron was brought to EPL as a star player, he never give his 100%, couse his slow movement, SAF is looking for a MF player in WC, but no names known, but for sure is one from Ecuador, (Mendes ????), Croatia (Kovac, Niko ????) or Portugal(Tiago or Petit) ManUtd are more intrested in midfielder than a striker at the moment ...........

only club open for a takeover? i seem to remember three years ago a certain russian guy took over a nothing club in london - three years and near £700MILLION later...

and i said hahaha chelski as it means they will not know who we are after and therefore cannot nick them form us! aka robben, essien, etc.

anyways - united WILL sign torres and riquelme as SAF believes they will link up well. ruud is goin to bayern for £10-12Million and silvestres going to lyon for £5-7Million - there will be a few more ins and outs - but they will only be young players (like when we signed PIQUE and ROSSI)

'only club stupid enough to be open for takeover? think before you write please! or did u forget about mr abramovich?

Celtic will hopefully have signed 3 more players by next friday, these players will be Carlton Cole, Michael Kadlec and Ryan Giggs !!! Strachan hinted on thursday that he wanted an experienced player who could take the game by the scruff of the neck and Giggs is believed to be the man for the job. These transfers fees will total no more than £5M but i dont know the exact figures. Also Stan Petrov has been told he has until he has until next friday to find an £8M buyer for him or he is staying put, the reason for this is Celtic want to wrap up a deal for Niko Krankjar to replace him by next friday so that they can complete all transfers and focus on thier busy pre-season schedule.

Blackburn will sign egyptian duo ahmed hossam mido and mohamed zidan to boost their attack.

Some of you lot lost the plot. If torres has already signed for liverpool or arsenal then beleive me we would know about it now. complete tosh. arsenal wont sign a striker they have henry, reyes, van persie, adebayor, walcott, lupoli. Liverpool fans hinting at takeover and 60 mill to spend, dream on, you've got bellamy, you'll prob sign a few random ex spanish waiters. newcastle fans writing their team for next yr, why include owen? he wont play for most of it.

MUFC NEWS-

fergie's frustration is boiling over now, diarra wants madrid, ribery wants lyon and chelsea got ballack. all 3 of fergie's main targets are out of reach. His second move was for mascherano but che;lsea have first rights on he and tevez after their link up with corinthians. Finally fergie has turned to carrick, not his first choice but will sign for 14.6mill, and rvn will stay. talk of torres, riquelme and simao are well well wide of the amrk, trust me i should know.

I have a pretty reliable source that newcastle will sign kuyt. 95% true.

TOON ALL THE WAY

I work in the Club Hotel at West Ham, and i can confirm that the club will be signing Luke Young from Charlton Athletic for £4.2m. An announcement should be made on Monday. I also understand that Alan Pardew is interested in bringing Julio Arca to Upton Park following the signings of Lee Bowyer and Jon Spector. Expect some huge transfer activity at West Ham this summer, with the board handing Pardew a transfer budget of around £20-25m.

Any more news i'll let you know!

MJH

Can i clear things up about Liverpool FC, they are NOT being taken over, they havent got alot of money to spend this summer as the club is currently a few million in the red. Players such as Cisse, Alonso, Garcia, Dudek, Kewell and Sissoko are up for sale, i know this as i am one of the administrators working at Liverpool to clear the minimal debt.

to the guy that said Barry mcGowan will be signing for rangers.....nah! it is well known that he is a lifelong celtic fan and will only sign for the bhoys. Ross McKee on the other hand would sign but is not of rangers class. more likely to sign is young ryan sneddon as le guen sees him as a young Mark Yardley. you heard it here first.FACT

Olof Mellberg has agreed to join Bayern Munich, he planned to have talks at the Allianz Arena after the crucial world cup knock out game against Germany. Villa will recieve between £6-6.5 million for the swedish captain. Olof will be unveiled on July 10th, the day after the world cup final!

Rangers will be the most likely place for Andy Webster to go.expect to see Marvern Andrews leave along with Oli Bernard and Charlie Adam.Clement from Lyon and Elmander will be done deals in the next two weeks.Rangers are also said to have signed a few youth stars who look to take the reserves by storm.watch out for names such as Tour Maman Cheriff,Patrick Savage,Mikey Gardner and Hans Van Wely who signed from Ajax youth. remember where you read this first! andy :-)
