Stoke look to continue their scouting in the USA as they look to sign Jack McInerney and Graham Zusi

25 Apr 2013 12:43:06
lets face it the issue with Stoke is not WHO they might buy but who will MANAGE them. TP plays his favourites, see below wilson palacios hardy played and cost loads, Robert Huth, safe money and played all the time, a real hard worker. KWJ NOT a hard worker but played a lot? Owen hardy played at all. Shotton played awful against Villa, dreadful but stayed on till?78 minutes. Coates likes TP and he's gone loads of good stuff so assume he's going to be moved to director of football and a new manager. wait and see.

Im 90% sure Pulis will stay, if he makes the correct signings and sales in the summer then Stoke are certain to re-establish themselves as a mid table club

26 Apr 2013 16:58:00
after seeing Brek Shea with their U21 team this week I would't bother Yanks

The same Brek Shea who is recovering from major foot surgery? That Brek Shea? Well, sod it then, if he's not playing like Ronaldo already we better get rid eh?

Former Bolton man Nicky Hunt is set to be given the chance to revive his career at Preston. He only left Deepdale in 2012 but Simon Grayson is a fan. Hunt is currently at Accrington Stanley and it is likely that teammate Francis Jeffers will be handed a trial with the Lilywhites with a view to a move.

110% both will not happen.

25 Apr 2013 10:16:30
Nicky Hunt is under contract at Rotherham until the end of next season but don't suprised if his contract is terminated at the end of the season as he has been quite frankly very poor, he has struggled at league 2 level so would be shocked if Preston wanted to sign him back!

25 Apr 2013 13:58:47
Jeffers move was blocked by hemmings when westley wanted him on transfer deadline day so no chance preston will sign him or hunt they are past it

Hunt was very poor in his time at Preston. Cannot seeing coming back.

How the mighty have fallen. He was crap at Bolton even the Ginger winger figured that out and got rid.

He walked around the palce with arrogance couldn't defend for toffee cost Bolton on a number of occasions.

24 Apr 2013 22:18:44
Kevin-Prince Boateng set to a shock move to former club Tottenham Hotspur.

24 Apr 2013 22:08:54
Bournemouth want James Ward Prowse on loan from Southampton

I'm sure they do

Well they're not having him.

But they won't get him

25 Apr 2013 18:40:49
Why go there bigger championship sides will have him

26 Apr 2013 08:30:50
Yeah as if he would go there

I think it would be good for him as a saints fan

24 Apr 2013 22:02:20
Zoumana Bakayogo is set to join either Barnsley, Peterborough, Derby County after rejecting a new offer from Tranmere this week he will join one of these in the summer. Also Tranmere are set to sign Altrincham striker Damien Reeves who has scored 38 goals this season. And Aston Villa striker Andreas Weimann is set to join Norwich City for 5.6 million pounds.

Nice not sure bout the weimann one though.

Wiemann would go top 6 if he was leaving, not norwich, but he's staying at Villa

Weimann is on the last year of his contract & he's keen to stay at Villa & in the area.
If he did leave it'd be to the likes of Spurs, Dortmund etc.

Just spoke to zoom he said his not sighning for trfc he said there are a few team he can go to in champ or l1

Can see ayala being a loan. after this summer Norwich will be hoping to look towards a comfortable mid table finish next season. but are still unsure on what to do with young ayala. did well in the few games he played under lambert, but he has to prove he can stay fit at the highest level.

24 Apr 2013 21:12:08
Swansea to sign young Leeds full back Sam Byram in the summer (good source).

24 Apr 2013 21:33:14
rubbish, he is far to big of a talent to go to swansea he will either stay at leeds for another season or go to a bigger club then back on loan to leeds either way he will be at leeds k?

I doubt he will go to Swansea. I understand some of the bigger clubs are in for him.

Keep dreaming we are not a selling club anymore

Too big for Swansea (in the premier league) but will be at Leeds?! Deluded. Swansea are a very good team and I expect tgem to make some huge deals this summer.

Go to the back of the queue and prepare for a very longgggggggg wait, he ain't going anywhere

Never heard of him. Swans got Taylor, Davies and Rangel all quality fullbacks so no thanks.

Oh behave will you, silly rumour anyway with all the fullbacks we have currently (swans) teindelli couldn't even cop a contract after having a half tidy season. That lad Sam wouldn't lace Ben Davies boots kid and he's going to have to fight to get a shirt on next year as it is with Taylor coming back

Who is he? swans have quality full backs so why would swans need a benchwarmer silly

Yes you said it mate rubish

He is 19. First season in the first team and is subject to 10m bids from man city and Everton. Bids which Swansea couldn't compete with.

Those who don't know who he is obviously live in their own little bubble, but Sam would never go to a small club like swansea, he's destined for the big time

Ha! The arrogance of Leeds fans! ' To big for Swansea etc etc'. Your not even a decent championship side at the moment.
Keep on living in the past Leeds fans!

Yeah course he is the same sam byram that has had bale, ince, and zaha in his back pocket this season

It actually sounds quite realistic, Leeds are a selling club and I think that first team football and European football will lure him

Yes I live in my bubble

I think the difference with byram is that he's seen players leave leeds and sit in the reserves at big clubs getting zero game time. He ain't daft so would expect him to still be here for the next year or 2.

Stoke Rumours.

Possible Ins:

Andreas Cornelius - FC Kobenhavn
Martin Olsson - Blackburn
Rod Fanni - Olympique de Marseille
Karim Guede - ŠK Slovan Bratislava
Eslad Zverotic - BSC Young Boys
Will Hughes - Derby
John Brayford - Derby
Romelu Lukaku (Loan) - Chelsea
Charles N'zogbia - Aston Villa
Jolean Lescott - Man City
Jack McInerney - Philadelphia Union
Jed Wallace - Portsmouth
Luke Murphy - Crewe

Possible Outs:

Asmir Begovic - Aresnal/Man Utd/ Man City/ Chelsea
Kenwyne Jones - Swansea/Cardiff
Wilson Palacios - QPR / Released
Glenn Whelan
Jon Walters
Ryan Shotton - Cardiff
Dean Whitehead- Derby

You can't afford Will Hughes he is going to a top 4 club not one flirting with relegation

There would be a possibility of brayford but defiantly not Hughes

24 Apr 2013 21:24:19
why would any decent player want to sign for stoke all they do is long ball football also pulis is a bad manager

It would be a mistake for Hughes to join a top club, a mid table premier league team would suit him with a lot of playing time but maybe not Stoke

24 Apr 2013 22:52:28
Yes, but keep in mind he is still a teenager. He can still improve before he goes to a top four club. Like Jack Butland did with Stoke. Working his way up the ladder instead of just going straight to the top

Like Butland did with Stoke?

Are you joking he hasn't played for Stoke and only signed in January. Literally signed a deal and just went straight back to Birmingham. He hasn't proven anything yet.

25 Apr 2013 08:34:53
stoke could do with fanni

You guys are missing the point.

Derby would have Will Hughes loaned back to them for the whole of next season so going to a top four club would not mean he does not get football.

He won't be joining Portsmouth as he has just signed a 1 year extension with us

Yes we are missing the point but for arguments sake, just cause Butland hasn't played for Stoke yet doesn't mean he isn't going to. But maybe that's a bad example, but can can you at least see where I'm coming from?

Jed Wallace has signed a new contract at pompey :) he ain't going anywhere. PUP we own our own club

Fed up with these Jones to Swansea rumours. This may have happened in the January window to replace Graham in the short term and turn a decent profit. It will not happen in the summer window, the kind of money that Stoke will want will buy a far better player in Spain.

Shotton and Jones to Cardiff. NO THANKS Stokebluebird

26 Apr 2013 01:59:47
I'm eager to see Cornelius in Premier League. Both him and Viktor Fischer are the future in attack for Denmark.

Hatebto break it toobyou but a deal is allready in place for cornilias to join the swans he visited stoke and swansea and prefers the people area and the manager in swansea. he will not stoke also because he wants european football next year dream on stoke

Walters won't go. jed wallace is staying at pompey

Wallace could leave, but Pompey will want big bucks. We might not have the riches sloshing around Premier League clubs any more (one could argue as to whether or not we had that in the first place or it ended up in Sol Campbell's pocket, to be fair), but we no longer need to fire-sell any half-decent talent we have for peanuts.

Still makes me boil with rage that we sold players like Matt Ritchie for not much more than a handshake and a bag of skittles.

But Portsmouth have just got relagated, which would lose them money. Soo even though he's a good player, he might go cheap

24 Apr 2013 19:45:15
Glenn Whelan to return to Sheff Wed if they stay up when he leaves Stoke due to no Premiership interest

We would walk on broken glass for glenn to come back nice bloke and good player

24 Apr 2013 19:36:06
Ronge could be free agent this summer great young player from celtic

Always injured though

daviebhoy08

24 Apr 2013 19:31:14
Burnley are attempting an audacious move to land David Dunn on a free transfer.

Doing a swap for Sean dyche

It is an audacious move as we're swapping him for our kit man plus andy payton

Wouldn't happen, we hate him and he hates us plus he's not very good

We don't need blackburn player, s they going down anyway. incey

24 Apr 2013 19:27:28
Jol has made a 10m bid on the ayew bros as a pair good for Fulham

Ed do you know anything about this pair? I have never heard of them before. Worth £10m for the pair? Good fit for Fulham's style of play? {Ed034's Note - the elder andre is a very good, quick, strong player who is the better of the two and would shine in the prem.
He younger brother jordon is more raw and unpredictable. He is some way off his brother but has talent.
I think jol could work with both well and his style of play would suit them

24 Apr 2013 18:46:50
Stoke are interested in both Will Hughes and John Brayford from Derby, also Martin Olsson from Blackburn

Might get martin olsson, he looks good

Will Hughes is out of Stokes league

Brayford yes Hughes you got no chance just sign new contract and derby say no to 7mil from city in January and man united and Barcelona all looking at him like I said no chance

Lol Stoke for Hughes.

Well actually based on this:

Robert Huth, 2009 (Middlesbrough) £5m
Cameron Jerome, 2011 (Birmingham) £4m
Peter Crouch, 2011 (Spurs) £10m
Charlie Adam, 2012 (Liverpool) £5m
Wilson Palacios, 2011 (Spurs) £8m

They could probably afford the 7 million but he would not suit Stoke style of football.

And as soon as one club bids there will be a bidding war starting at 7 million ending at 10 million by my prediction.

Like most people on here, I would say Brayford going to Stoke would not surprise many Rams fan. Hughes would. though. Be good to get him fit ready for next season. COYR

How can hughes be out of stokes lge, he plays for derby, so it would be a big step forward

Hughes, just signed a new contract which will up his price if the bids start coming in. £4million plus add-ons and a loan back for the season will probably nab him but not many teams are going to part with the money and not get the player until next year so count out anyone outside top six and when you look at top six, do any of them really want Hughes? Liverpool perhaps but could Hughes replace Shelvey? Spearing? Henderson, Lucas. ?

more likely Hughes to stay a Ram at least for another season. Brayford to Stoke. Pulis out first and then who knows what new manager wants. !

25 Apr 2013 16:57:37
I have heard Cardiff are interested in Brayford and Hughes but a loan for Hughes is more likely when Arsenal sign him.

They were in for Brayford in January and are looking to go back in for him again. Apparently Etien Velikonja is going to Derby on loan

Wouldn't call Derby to Stoke a step forward. At least we try and play football.

Premier League clubs are going to have more money than ever next season. Derby will not let Hughes go for any less than £10m.

24 Apr 2013 18:44:07
Johnny russell looks set to go to one of three catania. celtic or cardiff but dundee united will demand over 1.2million.

hooper and wanyama could be off to liverpool in a 13 million double swoop, celtic will use that money for charlie austin and aaron ramsay (to partner with ledley) however the ramsay deal looks more like a loan opportunity.

Alan hutton and russel martin in a swap deal is becoming more of a possibility.

with liverpool also looking at benteke to partner hooper if sir bite a lot leaves

Ramsey will never play football in Scotland. terrible league

25 Apr 2013 10:06:59
If Benteke leaves it will be for a Europa league club at least.

25 Apr 2013 18:27:39
Ramsay would play in the SPL for the champions league (celtic got as far as any english team) also maybe terrible league but he isn't so great himself.

I think you'll find the fee for Wanyama would be close to 13mil on his own, then the 5-6 for hooper!

24 Apr 2013 18:37:55
Watford will look to take Tika Musonda on loan from Chelsea if they fail to win promotion, replacing Nathanial Chalobah who will return to Chelsea

24 Apr 2013 18:51:11
Bournemouth targets are:
Adam Smith - Tottenham Loan
Aden Flint - 300k
Aaron Martin - 250k
Hayden Mullins - Swap for Wes Thomas
Ben Davies - Derby
Sam Baldock - Bristol City
Sam Vokes -- Burnley

Ben Davies would be a great signing for you, top professional, it doesn't look like Derby are going to offer him another deal which is a shame. Alan Judge has been lined up to Replace him (apparently).

Clough said yesterday they are looking at doing a deal with Ben Davies. Also he didn't move when he had chance as he and his family is settled in the area. I would guess a move to Meadow Lane could still happen.

24 Apr 2013 18:11:39
Everton are targeting out of favour duo Scott Sinclair and Joleon Lescott this summer. Both could leave for as little as £5m.

Not a fan of sinclair but lescott would fit right back in

24 Apr 2013 17:55:38
A consortium of Merseyside based businessmen is interested in buying Bury FC. If they can agree a takeover they will install Danny Murphy as Player/Manager at Gigg Lane

Is this honestly true?

I wonder if this is the same consortium that tried to take over Stockport County last year.

It's a positive rumour though I wish there was a local consortium interested with a vested commitment to the club long term.

24 Apr 2013 17:55:26
Hull may sign Alexander Ring from Finnish side HJK. The midfielder is playing on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, but the Bundesliga club will not sign him on a permanent basis once the current season ends.

Looking at his youtube video (I know, I know. ) he looks like an industrious little bugger, knows where the goal is and never let's the ball get too far from his feet in a dribble. good through balls and very quick too. wouldn't be a bad signing if lives upto his best of reel.

Ring and his staff are negotiating with various Bundesliga and the top 2. Bundesliga clubs at the moment.

24 Apr 2013 17:50:08
Stoke city have scouted some possible signings for their midfield. With an eventual departure of Wilson Palacios and Glenn Whelan, The Potters have enquired for Slovakian Karim Guede and Montenegrin Elsad Zverotic, from Freiburg and Young Boys respectively.

24 Apr 2013 17:47:59
Just an update on Watford FC news iv'e been kept up to date on - obviously targets will vary depending on which division the Hornets are in, but I've been told that they are looking at increasing their crop of players who have played in England before to form the core of their squad, as well as tying down current loanees from their cousin club Udinese and then complimenting them with a couple of new loans - latest links I have heard there is a genuine interest in (not from Pozzo family) include:
Jeffrey Schlupp - very versatile and was on trial at Manchester United as a LB - can play up top or out wide and with Zola not keen on Pudil as 1st choice a real possibility if Watford get promoted and Leicester do not
Curtis Davies: very much relies on Watford's promotion
Robbie Brady: as above in regards to the divisional situation, and linked with from before
Oliver Capper: Young Swedish striker with a fine strike record since dropping down to the second division in Sweden this year who has been involved in the national team youth team setup - currently plays for AFK Atlantic, has been linked with various Belgium teams as well as the Hornets and Charlton before
Bekim Balaj: Doubtful since his move to Prague, but depending on promotion will be considered again

Will post any updates I hear - usually reliable sources
Over and out - Zero.

Anyone else heard about any of these links? i'd think Davies would be on BIG wages?

THESE rumours seem believable! Quite fit the Pozzo's style: "low cost - good potential". Thanks and please keep us updated.

24 Apr 2013 22:03:09
Yep that's true - Davies very much depends on wages - the fee would not be a problem, just the negotiation of wages - identified as a main target however as he has experience in the prem before
Thanks - Zero

Robbie Brady?

He is 1 million % not comin to Watford.

25 Apr 2013 01:01:51
With Davies being a former Luton player and still on low category premier league wages a move seems unlikely. However Birmingham may be tempted to sell at the right price and former 'keeper Chamberlain has shown it is possible to win over the fans.

WFCKINGY

Udinese and Grenada rarely buy experienced senior players, we all know new players are mainly drawn from the large (100+) internal talent pool of young players sourced from East Europe, Africa and South America.

I'd be really surprised if Watford was allowed to operate any differently. the Pozzo's have a very clear rigid and enormously successful business model that's made then E500M+.

Zola might argue for one, maybe two experienced senior players, but that's going to be about it.

I'd put money on Zola signing the existing loans he wants, being given 3 or 4 more loans (or free internal transfers) for specific positions, and being allowed to sign an experienced centre back and possibly midfielder, but that's going to be about it.

Brady only signed a permanent deal with Hull in January, so he is not on our radar anymore

Capper again? That rumour was doing the rounds when Malky was in charge. Doubt it as much as I doubt they'll go for a Championship standard defender like Davies. Brady rumour's just daft as he's a Hull player. More likely we sign most of the current loanees, get rid of the dead weight and raid the back catalogue of Udinese/Granada players for the likes of Merkel, Ranegie, Fabbrini, Floro Flores, Yebda and co.

I am telling you that Watford maintain a legitimate interest in Brady, that is true - I did not state that all of these players would sign, just who WFC have an interest in - if Watford were to get promoted at Hull's expense there is a very real chance that he would make the switch
And yes, Capper has been a long term target of Watford and is on the shortlist for many clubs, from what I know
Also, my personal feeling is that Watford will look to Crewe's Luke Murphy, fits the bill perfectly, however that is only my own personal guess and I have no legitimate source behind that
Thanks - Zero

Basically you are just guessing and do not have a clue

26 Apr 2013 17:03:45
yes I do have an idea, Watford have a legitimate interest in the above players except for Murphy who I added as my own opinion, and stated with the post
Thanks - Zero

Watford may have an interest in Brady, but he's not joining

If you have sources at Hull AFC then fair enough - all I know is that Watford continue to maintain an interest in Brady and are likely to bid for him if they go up and Hull do not - Zero

24 Apr 2013 17:32:57
Norwich City are set to launch an ambitious attempt to sign star Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda, who's contract expires in the summer, and will offer the CSKA Moscow man an improved deal of £30k p/w as an increase to his current 25k p/w wages to try and secure his signature.

That would be a hell of a coup, let's hope it happens.

Wow - That would be good. Probs won't happen though.

24 Apr 2013 21:34:46
well that's not true as honda is earning 50k at the moment?

Wolfswinkel is reportedly joining on 45-55k a week wages.

No, he is genuinely on only around £22000p/w as he keeps rejecting longer term contracts worth more money. (Do a little research and tell me I'm wrong) {Ed034's Note - man utd, Liverpool, arsenal, spurs, Everton and big names abroad are after him. As much as Norwich may want him, he won't be signing for you I'm sorry to say

No he's not its 30k we aren't going to smash our wage structure on the 1st signing seriously!!

With respect Ed, I'm fairly sure that's what everyone said about Van Wolfswinkel.

Won't happen but just being linked with players like him is amazing!

25 Apr 2013 11:07:44
If Norwich were willing to give Gary Hooper £30k p/w wages why on earth do you think they wouldn't atleast match that for one of the world's best midfielders?

Ed your right we prob won't be signing him, but you can't say just because bigger clubs such as Manchester United and spurs have been linked to him means Norwich won't get him. as I remember in january spurs were also linked with Ricky Van Wolfswinkle as were Manchester United last summer and Norwich have landed him against all odds, so you never know. {Ed034's Note - there is a difference in quality between him and rvw. That isn't me saying rvw is poor, i'm saying that Honda is a lot better and will be looking at champions league

Honda is a very well know class player. he is also currently playing in russia so will porbably be on stupidly high wages

however if norwich do get him they can expect to bring in lot more money from the asian market like Manchester United and kagawa

As a Norwich fan this is unlikely

however, it is worth keeping in mind that this is football, and anything can happen.

players have different ambitions and reasons for doing what they do (was reading a biography of a player the other day, said he had the option to join arsenal in 2002, but chose a minnow because he wanted to be part of the rising of a club. )

24 Apr 2013 17:22:46
Rumours starting to circulate that Aston Villa will be making a £3m bid for Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick in the summer.

£3 million will be touch and go depending on how well along Derby are in their summer transfer happenings.

£4 million and we cannot turn it down at all!

He has really come on in the 2nd half of the season. He is a real Clough favourite. If Villa stay up I think it would be a good club for him to go. I think him and Brayford may fund the 6 players we want.

Absolutely ridiculous if we let Hendrick go to Villa, they’ve been such a poor team this year and I think he’s better than a bottom half prem team. I seriously think he could play for a top 6-8 team in a few years as he’s only just turned 21 yet he’s played nearly 100 games for derby plus he’s just broke into the Ireland squad as well. He reminds me off a Carrick style player but has a bit more drive when going forward; it would be a serious mistake for us to let him go unless it was ridiculous money!

The 6 players we want will all be on frees or cost a minimal amount.

Put it this way, I believe Sam Rush when he says we're going to keep our best players. I'd be shocked if any of Brayford, Hughes or Hendrick leave.

25 Apr 2013 16:38:00
He won't sign for villa as he says he wants to play in the prem asap and he won't be doing that in the forseeable future if he signs for villa.

The rumours at Derby are, it's more likely to be Bryson than Hendrick. Bryson will enter his final year (contract) and he's looking for a move to the Prem this summer to boost His Scotland hopes.
Clough said on radio Derby, the players leaving are not those that have been talked about.

I think the above poster has misunderstood Clough. I think he meant the fringe players will be leaving. Everyone's been speculating about Brayford/Hughes/Hendrick when, in fact, it will be the likes of Bailey/Deeney/Theo/Tyson/etc leaving.

Aliadiere has stated recently that he won't be coming back to England. He's happy in France.

Id rater get rid of ward than barnett or both

24 Apr 2013 16:39:33
tottenham have been keeping tabs on udinese striker medhi benatia with a view to making a move for the forward in the summer. both milan clubs and fiorientina have also been linked {Ed034's Note - benatia is a defender

24 Apr 2013 16:38:05
Afc bournemouth manger is trying to conclude a deal for spurs full back Adam smith for next season but faces a competitor in reading and leeds

Sounds good but it worries me that our current squad is good so if we sign better players what happens to em

24 Apr 2013 20:45:50
Love him back at leeds. Class player! MOT!

Left back or right back?

Love him back at leeds nah rather keep byram

24 Apr 2013 16:37:37
wba have held talks with newcastle defender danny simpson and look likely to sign the player on a free transfer.

24 Apr 2013 16:37:12
Middlesbrough to sign shola ameobi in the summer. photo on boro website shows shola with gibson and mowbray at a charity golf day during which the move was disscussed.

Would be a good signing for the championship + this could persuade Sammy ameobi to com back on loan to us next season. But, he has been at Newcastle his whole life, and I doubt he will move to their biggest rivals. His wages will also be to high for the boro, as we are still trying to cut the bill

Yer mate micky horswill is on the picture guess were in talks to sign him aswel

Since when where middlesbrough newcastles biggest rivals?

This is utter rubbish. They were all taking part in the Bobby Robson Charity Golf fund raiser.

Theres always players and management that represent all the clubs in the north east.

Boro are looking at lower wage players and not players on high premiership salaries.

New castles biggest rivals are sunderland

It was actually sammy in the photo he cut his hair off

24 Apr 2013 16:22:01
West brom in for chris Baird, have been following for some time now, the 31 year old is set to leave for free after becoming frustrated with a bit part role with Martin jol

If he can't get in fulhams team, why do bags want him, he must be cheap or not good enough

Don't want him at the hawthorns, can see him being another flop like rosenburg.

24 Apr 2013 16:19:27
Afc bournemouth will let wes Thomas leave for 500k and looks set to join Derby or Birmingham also bournemouth will sign swindon town defender Aden flint for 250k

500k for oops missed it thomas. mr eddie mitchell tell wes ill drive him to derby for free.

24 Apr 2013 16:16:50
if wolves go down bournemouth are looking at right back kevin foley. they are also keen on lee catermole and jay emmanueal thomas of sunderland and ipswich.

JET will not be leaving Ipswich! Terry connor has been working with him and he is getting into the team and playing well at the moment! {Ed034's Note - ok!

Ha! JET to Bournemouth that is laughable!

24 Apr 2013 15:56:49
Swansea sensation Jonathan de Guzman will make his loan from Villareal a permanent deal at the end of the season. It is reported that Villareal will accept any offers around 7m euros for the Dutchman.

Really hope this is true, would love it if he stayed with us another season!

24 Apr 2013 15:54:00
Swansea, Stoke, West Ham and Newcastle are all interested in signing Romelu Lukaku on loan next season. The Belgian, however, would prefer to stay at the Hawthorns until next season, at which point he will discuss his Chelsea future.

No he wouldn't. he wants to play European football.

25 Apr 2013 16:33:56
thats paper talk, he actually stated that himself when asked about his future.

25 Apr 2013 22:46:58
I think lukaku would rather go to a great team that is playing european football next season and I know that team is swansea. Lukaku up front with michu playing just off him. Look out for swansea next season!!

24 Apr 2013 15:50:15
News from Spain suggests that Atletico Madrid forward Falcao will consider his options at the end of the season. Falcao is a certainty to leave the Spanish capital, with Chelsea, Manchester United & City, PSG and Anzhi Makhachkala all chasing his signature. Falcao is said to prefer a club with real Champions League ambitions. The suggested price for the Colombian forward is between £35m - £55m depending on where you read. Chelsea are discussing a potential deal involving Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne on permanent deals.

24 Apr 2013 15:44:06
Spurs will announce a 5-year official partnership with MLS side Toronto at the end of the season. The deal has 3 main components; Spurs will have the first-choice option on all of the Canadian's first-team players, Toronto will have first-choice option on all Spurs players that would benefit from loan moves, and finally the 2 sides will meet at the BMO Field during the off-season in a friendly.

24 Apr 2013 15:36:13
Brighton will be looking to splash the cash if they go up, with the summer signing of Juan Forln from Espanyol. Juan is a defensive midfielder and can play at the back as well. With this signing it looks like Crofts out be left out in the cold. If the Juan deal falls through albion will look to Manuel Ortiz Toribio (lolo)

Centre Midfield will be a priority whether we go up or not. Even if we hang on to Bridcutt neither Hammond or Crofts look good enough for a regular slot alongside him.

Hammond and Crofts are decent championship players but not good enough for Prem, I guess I could see this happening.

24 Apr 2013 15:19:26
Martin Allen to bring Cody McDonald (Coventry City) Sam Baldock (Bristol City) Sam Saunders (Brentford) Jeff Hughes (Notts County) Tom Derry (Charlton Athletic) Danny East (Hull City) in for Gillingham's return to league one

If baldock is going to leave city he will not be going to gillingham fact

No chance on jeff hughes. top quality player for notts so won't go to gillingham if he does leave.

24 Apr 2013 21:56:58
Dont know where you got all these names from but tom derry is a definate and cody we hope. don't know about the rest though

25 Apr 2013 05:58:38
martin allen is coming to the Blades

25 Apr 2013 11:41:21
Next season he is. when the Gills play you in the league.

Jeff Hughes out of contract played under Martin Allen at Notts County and Gills assistant manager John Schofield at Lincoln! Martin Allen not going to Sheffield United!

Sam Saunders to Gillingham, don't think so he staying at Brentford and playing in the Championship.

Jeff hughes has said he wants to stay.

25 Apr 2013 21:40:36
Martin Allen has stated today that he will only leave Gills for a Premiership Club, and that's not very likely is it?

25 Apr 2013 22:13:06
Martin Allen has confirmed on the clubs official social media The Gills that he will be at Priestfield next season. Sheffield United rumours not true.

Martin Allen would only go back to one club and that's Brentford he loves us

24 Apr 2013 15:53:01
Bournemouth are set to trim their squad in the summer transfer window with the following players being loaned out or sold;
- Flahavan (SOLD)
- Seaborne (Returning to parent club Southampton)
- Fogden (SOLD)
- McDermott (SOLD)
- Thomas (SOLD)
- Demouge (SOLD)
- Zubar (SOLD)
- Sheringham (SOLD)
- Hughes (Retiring, again)
- Fletcher (taking up a more coaching role, but remaining availible to play)
- Purches (Retiring, and taking up a coaching role at the club)
- Tubbs (SOLD)
- Stockley (LOAN)
- Partington (LOAN)
- Chiedozie (LOAN)
- Carmichael (LOAN)
- Collins (LOAN)
- Buchel (LOAN)
- Moth (LOAN)

The club are expected to bring in a Right Back, 2 Central Defenders, A strong Central Midfielder, and Two Strikers possibly a left Winger. Meades will return to club to provide cover for Daniels at Left Back.

Flahavan and buchel will be released. Moth got released ages ago. Fogden, zubar and tubbs will stay. Hughes won't retire.

Vegard Forren will stay it is just because he has had injury problems lately and they are keeping him fit for next season.

Is this the players you what out because this is crazy lol

24 Apr 2013 15:01:51
The following players will be leaving Southampton this summer:
Tommy Forecast (Released)
Danny Butterfield (Released)
Frazer Richardson (Released)
Danny Seaborne (Released)
Aaron Martin (Undisclosed)
Vegard Forren (Undisclosed)?
Danny Fox (Undisclosed)
Ryan Dickson (Released)
Ben Reeves (Released)?
Guly Do Prado (Undisclosed)
Richard Chaplow (Undisclosed)
Dean Hammond (Undisclosed)
Steve De Ridder (Undisclosed)
Emmanuel Mayuka (Undisclosed/Loan)
Billy Sharp (Undisclosed)
Sam Hoskins (Released)
Jonathan Forte (Undisclosed)
Lee Barnard (Undisclosed
Alberto Seidi (Released)

Vegard Forren doesn't appear to be in Pochettino's plans, if he doesn't appear before the end of the season, he will be moving on! Jos Hooiveld is also a possibility but due to recent good performances, he is likely to be given a stay of execution!
Ben Reeves also is a dilemma! He is well rated by Saints but whether he is part of saints vision remains to be seen!

Total Players Rumoured to be leaving:
20 at maximum!

Doesn't make any sense at all! Saints won't be able to sell and/or release all those players. They won't commit the same mistake as QPR.

Go away.

Forren leaving. Behave. He's just not being risked til we are safe, and our current CBs are performing well together. Once he gets some game time in pre-season he will show his worth and become part of the first XI.

Mayuka is just starting to get a chance in the first team. He's a young talent. Like with Forren, a few non-competitive games and he will have a chance to get into the team.

Pochettino likes Danny Fox, and currently we have no back up for Shaw other than Fox so he will only go if we sign another LB which isn't concrete yet.

Unfortunately Do Prado recently signed contract extension and he is popular with Pochettino and the squad in general.

Forren said himself needs a full pre season under him

Keep forren, mayuka, hoovield, say bye to the rest, reduce the wage bill for better players.
If all them players were a team in league 1 they would win the league lol.

Reeves and hoskins will definitely stay, reckon we'll keep forren and mayuka, aaron martin will probably leave

Forren, Mayuka, Guly, Reeves, Hoskins, Seidi will stay. The rest will be released, sold or loaned. There will not be a clear out as such but Poch will want some signings in. Expect a couple from Espanyol.

Good post and I agree with most Think Forren will stay and Mayuka. Fox will stay unless we but well but the rest can go. None are Prem players - A big thank you to all

Mayuka and Forren won't go they are the future

I must say in all the time I've been coming on here, I've never seen such an infantile and rubbish filled rumour, I hope that your about 8 years old

st stuie

I doubt we'll just release these players as it would be costly, and besides most are worth something, Forren, Hoiveld and Mayuka won't leave, I doubt Richardson or Fox will unless we get cover in those positions, also Reeves, Hoskins and Martin have a lot of potential so I doubt they'll leave and TBH I'd like to keep Hammond as it would be good to have some cover for Cork and Shneiderlin, unless we sign someone

Guly's contract expires in the summer of 2014, so he will probably be moved on for a fee, or loaned out to a championship club. Have also heard Nigel Adkins wants to sign him for Reading

Stevenage are intersted sam hoskins after a good loan spell with the league 1 club

24 Apr 2013 14:02:39
Oxford United starlet Tyrone Marsh will go to Reading for £100,000

24 Apr 2013 21:09:05
Startlet? he's started 2 games for us. Our fans rave about him because he's from our youth team. But I watched a lot of his games in the youth team and seen his 3 appearances this season. I'd be surprised if he's playing in the FL in 2 seasons time.

also if he was a 'startlet' surely it would take more than a poxy 100k

He is at Oxford for a reason, no way Reading will want a player no1 has heard of

25 Apr 2013 20:50:27
Adam Le fondre,
Nick Blackman
Garath McLeary (ex OUFC youth team player!)
Shane Long
Noel Hunt
Kevin Doyle
Hope Akpan
Alex Pearce (also ex OUFC youth team player)
Sean Morisson

We're all house hold names weren't they when you signed them?

Lawson D'ath also had a spell in the OUFC youth set up. So you have 3 already!

24 Apr 2013 14:02:14
Tika Musonda is the latest player Gianfranco Zola is looking at from Chelsea.
He is capable of playing centre half or centre midfield

24 Apr 2013 13:52:29
Rochdale are set to say there fair well to Jason Kennedy this summer after the midfielder has told Keith Hill he will not be signing a contract. Kennedy has declared he has been in discussion with Barnsley, who have declared Dave Flitcroft won't be departed if relegation is definate

JK won't be going anywhere, Keith hill has stated after signing a 3 year contract JK is part of his plans

24 Apr 2013 14:18:36
Southampton are waiting for Barcelona to make a decision on the futures of defenders Andreu Fontas and Marc Muniesa. Fontas has been on loan at Mallorca and it is thought does not feature in any long term plans at the Nou Camp. While Muniesa's contract is due to expire at the end of the season after coming back from a long term injury, it is thought that Ajax would be his more likely destination should he be released.

So why are soton waiting, obviously not going there

24 Apr 2013 13:57:12
Norwich will let the following players go if the price is right.
Andrew Surman - Aston Villa 1-2 m
David Fox -
Daniel Ayala - Nottingham Forrest 1m
Leon Barnett - Cardiff around 1m
Elliot Ward - 500-800
James Vaughan- Huddersfield 2.5m
Chris Martin - Derby - Possibly free
Grant Holt - Celtic Swap for Hooper

Ins
Hooper -Celtic 8m Grant Holt
Wolfswinkel 8.5m
Kamara $2m / £900. 000
Nathan Redmond 5m David Fox
Curtis Davies Birmingham 2m
Tom Carroll - Spurs - Loan

I can tell you now, we won't be spending 8Mil holt on Hooper. He is simply not that good. With only 12 months to run on his contract it would be £3 tops or a no go for me. He won't be first choice anyway so probably won't want to come.

I think it would be a good move for Tom!

Celtic fan here I don't think hooper will go to Norwich if he does go its Norwich I would like yours to get him as I have never felt more welcome to a city in my life as to Norwich last year I hope that something can be sorted as every Celtic fan I meet that was ther have all got fond memory's of that day, your club and fans are a credit to your city, jodrok

Derby are signing Jackson and Martin on frees!

We will be lucky to get 1m for surman from a championship team.
ward is out of contract at end of the season

vaughan is no where near 2.5m

chris martin is out of contract

8m/grant holt for hooper? having a laugh. if anything it will be 1m cash

$2m is not the same as 900k GBP. its 1.5m GBP

and I think we're done with loans from spurs after harry kane.

so many mistakes in this shows me you don't know what you're talking about

Birmingham turned down £2m plus a defender in January. Now you think you will get him for less.

Don't think Huddersfield will pay 2.5m

Didn't know ncfc were made of money?

Anyway, Vaughan has been quality for us, and with other strikers going to ncfc, we could try and negotiate a good £1m for him if they're desperate to get him off their wage bill.

- Would snap Villa's had off if they'd offer £1-2M for Surman
- Ayala for £1M. Take that
- Vaughan for £2. 5M. Yes please!

James Vaughan not worth 2.5m maybe to hudds for 1m

Personally, I think the targets are correct but the prices are off a bit. OTBC

We have the option of an extra year on Chris Martin which we will take in order to demand a transfer fee. 500,000 I'd imagine. Holt plus 8m for Hooper? I have a lot of respect for Celtic but come on. If Villa give us more than a million for Surman I'll drive him there myself! Doubt we'l get 2.5m for Vaughan, more like 1.5m.

I'd be very happy with all those coming in though. Especially Redmond. Can we persuade Spurs to give us Townsend instead of Tom Carroll?!

25 Apr 2013 13:20:35
To the guy gassing the OP and then saying $2m isn't £900k but rather £1.5m. If you are going to correct people over petty things at least get your own correction correct. Its actually just under £1.3m.

Also to the guy saying why would you now sell Davies for less than your previous offer. Well January is notoriously hard to do business in and prices are driven up because of this. In the summer clubs have much longer to find a replacement, it doesn't disrupt the team mid season, he has less time left on his contract. is that enough reasons for you? For what its worth I think we need to look at better than Davies but would take him as a solid backup and i'm sure he would jump at the chance to play in the prem with an established club again.

To the guy asking if we are made of money. well as it happens we will have a significantly larger budget this year. Finished paying off our debt this season (£14m paid off this year), the TV revenue has gone up by a minimum £20m, we didn't spend our January budget which has now covered the Van Wolfswinkle signing. i'd say we will spend another 25-30mil.

A little research guys and you can stop yourselves looking silly.

I heard he had 12 to spend in January so we should have a little left, if we sign kei that will be paid for from the jan budget. It's also worth baring in mind he still had a fair bit let over from the summer. I think he spent around 10-12 we were told he had 18 .

Anyway this summer I think he will be getting around 30-35mill to spend and maybe another 10-15 in January.

I'm curious if they will announce the ground expansion soon or not? McNally said if we secured prem football the the stadium would need expanding. Then it's the option

Wont have that to spend in the championship

26 Apr 2013 15:10:59
Good job we won't be in the Championship then 'pal'.

26 Apr 2013 17:04:21
Huddersfield have signed a left back call ed jake Carroll age 21

Well good luck to you and your big money, just give us Vaughan and I'll be happy :)

27 Apr 2013 07:54:35
Vaughan will sign for huddersfield in the summer

Vaughan will only go to Huddersfield if they stay in the championship

9 times out of 10 celtic would criise past norwich, norwich are a mediocre club with a tiny stadium all the celtic players would walk into that team!

28 Apr 2013 10:44:30
If huddersfield stay in the championship deeno is eyeing up a 5 million bid for Vaughan and beckford in the summer

Haha what a joke. Celtic would struggle to hold their own in the championship. Play in a frankly terrible league and its plain to see when in Europe their results are ground out of adrenaline of the big occasion. In the premier league Celtic wouldn't consistently be able to show the same level of determination week in and week out and would simply be the whipping 'bhoys' of the league.

Do you watch celtic play week in week out? Name 2 teams out of rhe top 4 pl teams who have a bigger stadium capacity as celtic? How many current pl teams have won a european cup like celtic have? And you forgetting we drew and narrowly lost 2 1 to benfica where as newcastle got ripped apart thanks {Ed034's Note - the size of your stadium and the fact you won the European cup in 1967, has got nothing to do with whether Celtic would do well in the premiership. The latter point though is a good argument.

24 Apr 2013 13:40:12
Jim Goodwin set for talks with Burnley after rejecting st. mirren contract.

He's still got another year left on his contract

24 Apr 2013 13:08:47
Southampton want

Toby Alderweireld
David Astori
Scott Sinclair
Manuel Lanzini
Marco Bueno

Obviously not all of them

Also expect Callum Chambers, Jake Siclair, Jack Stephens & Lloyd Isgrove to be the next bunch of starlets to break in to the squad next season

Thats about 30 players already that soton want and the seasons not even over yet

You forgot taggart

Lanzini and Bueno both sound like top class wonder kids, either would be a real coup for us but doubt we'll get both, as we already have 4 CB's we may sell sell if we were to sign either Astori or Alderweireld who are both class again I think we'd only look at one of them and Scott Sinclair would be brilliant and add competition to the flanks, he's wasted at City and needs game time I've always rated and think he'd be class at Saints :)

24 Apr 2013 12:53:22
Lewin Nyatanga wanted by Cardiff to bolster there squad

Ha ha ha ha. we've got 3 or 4 Academy players who are already better than him!

24 Apr 2013 18:44:12
Malky would be off his rocker to sign him lol

Why would cardiff want him

24 Apr 2013 12:20:59
Heskey in talks with Ipswich for next season

He just signed a new contract with the Newcastle Jets

We let Scotland go because of his age why would we want heskey, jase is far better than Emily as well

24 Apr 2013 12:08:19
Julio Cesar, Esteban Granero, Loic Remy, Jose Bosingwa, Tal Ben-Haim, Bobby Zamora, Park Ji-Sung, Jay Bothroyd & Nedum Onuoha will all leave QPR after the Hoops' imminent relegation to the Championship. Zamora and Park Ji-Sung are wanted by Cardiff for their first Premier League campaign next season, while Bothroyd and Onuaha are expected to make moves to Sheffield Wednesday & Watford respectively. Julio Cesar and Esteban Granero are expected to return to their home countries, while Israeli Ben-Haim will be released due to his unsustainable wage demands.

They may want to leave, and they may well struggle to pay their wages without the funding from the premier league, but wanting to get rid of them, and other teams being able to afford them is another matter! This was part of the problem that happened to Pompey - not being able to get rid of players on exorbitant wages.

24 Apr 2013 14:51:00
No way will Bothroyd come back to SWFC. He was awful last time and slagged the fans off publicly when he left.

Jay Bothroyd said he hated his time at Wednesday and they lost 11 of the 14 games in which he played, so that's incredibly unlikely.

I know Jay & he will not return to Wednesday, he hated his time there

24 Apr 2013 23:38:11
Sorry mate, you're stuck with them. unless you are going to pay at least 50% of their wages whilst they play for someone else.

24 Apr 2013 12:01:43
Fabricio Coloccini has back-tracked on his decision to leave Newcastle, and sign a new 2-year deal. That is, of course, subject to the Magpie's premier league survival.

24 Apr 2013 12:01:07
Inter's Esteban Cambiasso will return to Argentina with Independiente after the 2013-14 season.

24 Apr 2013 12:00:33
Borussia Dortmund will spend their Goetze transfer fee on either CSKA Moscow's £11m-rated Alan Dzagoev or PSG's Javier Pastore on loan for the 2013-14 season with no option of a permanent deal.

24 Apr 2013 11:56:16
Malaga will not turn Oguchi Onyewu's loan from Sporting into a permanent deal.

24 Apr 2013 11:53:14
Fulham are close to agreeing a £4m deal with Roma for Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg. Martin Jol is also keeping tabs on Tom Huddlestone and Glenn Murray. Sascha Riether is expected to turn his loan from Bundesliga's Koln into a permanent deal, while the Londoner's dutch manager isn't expected to make a permanent offer for Arsenal's Frimpong, and will let him return to the Emirate's after his loan finishes.

Seems that Huddlestone is in demand then with West Brom & Cardiff also after him

24 Apr 2013 11:31:32
John Eustace, Piero Mingoia, Chris Iwelumo, Prince Buaben will all be released by Watford. Lloyd Doyley, Jonathan Bond, Mark Yeates (Depending on promotion), Manuel Almunia and Fitz Hall will all be offered new contracts. Carl Dickinson, Ross Jenkins and Craig Forsyth will be sold.

Forsyth already at Derby on loan with view to permanent move. Clough wanted Eustace last season but he opted to stay with the Hornets but may now move to Pride Park as well.

Watford want Chalubah and Marin from Chelsea and loan moves for Taarabt and Joey Barton if they go up.

24 Apr 2013 15:03:17
Hall is a great defender but to injury prone. You will only get about 10-15 games a season if that for him

You also failed to mention what would happen from the Udinese loan players all though I'm sure most will be signed and we will only get 2-3 on loan from them next season to strengthen we weaker positions

Can't see Prince going as the club have just nursed him back to full health. I think Zola will want to see a full season of him being fully fit before making such a decision. All the others are I would say pretty expected. Nothing groundbreaking I'm afraid.

True they will only have a few loans from the Pozzo pool, but will also sign a few players not currently at the club - on permanent deals.

Watford will NOT be loaning Taarabt or Barton.

FACT

BIG READING FC CLEAR-OUT THIS SUMMER:-

Players to leave:-
Alex Pearce
Pavel Pogrebnyak
Ian Harte
Jay Tabb
Simon Church
Nicky Shorey
Stuart Taylor
Brett Williams
Shaun Cummings

Kaspars Gorkss is very likely to join Wolves permanently following his loan spell if they avoid relegation.

Noel Hunt and Jason Roberts are out of contract, however Nigel Atkins is keen to keep hold of both. Roberts will need to prove himself after a injury hit season.

Interest from other teams in Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy, Hal Robson-Kanu, Jem Karacan and Adam LeFondre - so some of these might be off as well!

Change the record, told us this yesterday.

24 Apr 2013 11:22:45
Bournemouth are set to cut their losses on forward Matt Tubbs, who will return to former club Crawley Town in the summer.

Crawley would be unlikely to be able to afford much of a fee (if anything), never mind the wages. A loan is more likely, but I doubt it.

24 Apr 2013 20:57:40
Think the likelyhood is that he has already agreed to join Rotherham if they are promoted.

25 Apr 2013 11:52:17
Tubbs is crap he cannot play at this level crawley can afford him but why would we want him he was good in league two but can't cut it at league 1 level we don't need him or want him

26 Apr 2013 07:58:33
I agree we don't want or need tubbs he can't cut it at this level

TBF Tubbs wasn't exactly given a chance in league 1. 10 minutes here and there every other week, plus his injury on top. Give him 75+ minutes a week and he will get back to his previous form. Seems a waste to me.

28 Apr 2013 19:32:33
Crawley don't need tubbs we have far better players lined up tubbs is crap can't play at league one level

24 Apr 2013 10:33:59
didier drogba being linked with a season loan move to swansea next season?

Not true waste of time putting that on here

Ummm no.

Wont happen ever

You r having a laugh

How do you know he doesn't seem to like life in turkey he said he would like a chance to play in the premier league again so I can't see why he won't come down here

Charlton Manager Chris Powell to offer pre season trials to Arsenal duo Conor Henderson and Sanchez Watt who are likely to be leaving the Emirates this summer. Both have been injured for much of the past season and need to demonstrate their fitness.

Sanchez Watt was a good young talent when he was at us last season (swfc). He has pace to burn and will do well with you especially with haynes and kermogant. He needs a bit of luck and consistency of matches

Watt is rubbish we don't want him at charlton

According to some friends I heard Barnsley are interested in signing Brentford Midfielder Sam Saunders and Chris O'Grady on 3 year deals. Also Barnsley will sell Ben Alnwick and Youngsters Jordan Clark and Sam Patterson may also go out on loan.

Saunders can't get in the Brentford team!

Portsmouth are interested in wycombe player Joel Grant.

He would be more likely to go to a higher division club

Would be a great signing if true

Where did you here this or is this just a big joke

Unless this guy is on a 'free', forget about it. Next season the team will be built around what we had this year plus free transfers and a few loans.

He wants to go to league one portsmouth are not stable enough

Danny Livesey is about to reject Carlisle's offer of a new contract in favour of a move to Preston. Paul Huntington likely to move in the other direction

Huntington will not be leaving Preston, both he and bailey wright have become a fine central back pairing that have stopped Preston leaking goals. If any of the central backs leave it is more likely to be Shane cansdell sherif who has been away on loan since early in the season

The lad may well move to PNE but Hunts is part of Simon Graysons plans for a promotion push next season.

24 Apr 2013 12:11:57
not a chance hunts will leave hunts and wright will be best centre halfs in league next season

You wish, no chance

I would rather keep livsesey very day of the week is a loyal and professorial player.

He lives in Carlisle and has stayed loyal to the club, highly doubt he'd leave

Thats a lie Huntington will never play for Carlisle because carlisle fans don't like him

Danny will stay at Carlisle, Huntington would have to do a lot of making up to be accepted by cufc fans.
