Well, first Sheffield Utd don't have anywhere near that amount of money to spend on one player, so even if they have bid that counts them out. Second, if Paterson's head is turned, with only a year left on his contract Walsall don't have time to be setting an price that no one's going to pay

Bristol Rovers are very close to announcing two deals in May.

Eliot Benyon is close to agreeing terms and Ryan Burge is equally keen to relaunch his career after his issues with Port Vale last season.

Two parts of the midfield jigsaw hopefully being put into place.

Fabian Broghammer however will return to Germany as he is homesick.

Would be delighted for this to be true but fear it won't. Benyon is a striker, not a midfielder.

However, if we did get these two and Steve Mildenhall and John-Joe O'Toole I think we'd get promoted.

Southampton have extensively scouted Serie A this season and have enquired about the availablity of Pescara's Marco Capuano, who is seen as a backup option incase the Astori deal falls through.

Doing some research a few premier league teams were in for him last year, Everton/west ham, however price could be a problem with pescara as he is seen as an integral part of their squad.

Millwall will not be interviewing any manager they have to pay compensation for. End of.

Yes agree with POSH Lee - DMAC said he couldn't guarantee that Fergie would be at POSH at the start of next season but as far as he is concerned he is not ready to leave yet. That said any club interested know how much they need to pay and they know DMACs number so we will see. Personally I think that we may see clubs next year rather than this if DF can get POSH promoted.

On the other hand he may be ensuring he has a good grounding and is ready for the "bigger" club rather than some managers who fail to make the grade after stepping up.

It's not a question of Martinez's ambition, he quite clearly is more interested in Wigan's ambition which is why he wants Whelan to press ahead with the plans for building a Category 1 grade Academy in the next year! If Whelan agrees to this he will stay to see it get done then look to move on later, if not he will consider other options now!

Madden still has two years of his contract to run. Now we've been promoted I would imagine there's a good chance he'll sign an extension. The bottom line is that we're under no pressure to sell Madden and if he happens to be prolific at Championship level then he'll command a fee in excess of £1. 5M.

I hope it happens we need that 50% but he won't leave Yeovil after just getting them promoted

No disrespect to the lad but Hull City are looking for proven premiership players. Plus Yeovil have just been promoted, can't see him wanting to move at the moment unless a lot of money is offered.

Having bought Amorbieta, he and Haangeland will be first choice. Hughes (if he stays) and Senderos (god help us) as back up.

I think young Dan is going to make the grade and be a very good CB. Another season on loan; this time in the Championship; with a group that has real team spirit like Yeovil, is just what he needs.

I think he will begin to take over from Brede in cup games etc in 14/15 and be first choice 15/16

Loan him then he can get in someones first team!

I will sell my season ticket when it comes if we get willo I hate him and every true Yeovil fan should as well hope he has fun in league 1 again and doesn't come near Yeovil

I have not said Austin isn't a decent striker, he is but I don't believe he is worth 8. 5, about 5 would be closer. He is 23 and hasn't been snapped up as yet. We splashed 7. 5 on JayRod as he was 21 and had bags of potential which he proved in the latter stages of the season and is a far better all round player if you ask me.
Moreso we need a proven top level striker to add to what we have which is why we are looking abroad, Austin is not top level or proven. sorry but that's the truth.

There is no chance of Jennings returning to Prenton Park!
Bayern have only released him on compassionate grounds as the player has not settled well over in Germany.
They are looking a selling him to a Premier or Championship club for somewhere in the region of £3m.
They paid £1.5m for Jennings 2 years ago and have spent time and money developing him ino a better player.

As for Cassidy, I believe he still has another season left on his current contract at Wolves, so any move would require a Transfer Fee, something which Tranmere don't have, if he was a free agent, then we would most certainly be in with a shout, however, we do not has the money to buy any players.

Jennings only cost £650,000 as the rest was on him signing contract from Bayern and not their reserves and also appearance based.

Had an unbelievable season when we went up, and carried that form into the Premier and proved he was good enough for that level.

Sadly since the injury he hasn't quite been the same player. Its difficult to tell if its the system we've been playing, his own motivation or the aftermath of his injury or a little bit of all three.

David Connolly set to sign with Pompey later today, Jonny Ertl expected back from holiday at the weekend and talks ongoing with an unnamed right winger. Whittingham hopes to complete the bulk of his deals by the weekend, as he goes on holiday for two weeks on Monday.

Swindon Town want to sign Tottenham trio Nathan Byrne, Massimo Luongo and Ryan Mason, although Luongo is the least likely. They have also met with Adebayo Akinfenwa over a 2 year deal. Luke Rooney is interesting Cheltenham, who want to sign the winger on a season long loan, but Swindon would prefer a permanent deal, the club are also trying to move on striker Paul Benson, with several clubs interested, Bristol City have put a 4th bid of around 400k in for defender Aden Flint, James Collins could join Wolves and Alan McCormack is set to reject his new deal. Striker Andy Williams is interesting Yeovil, Brentford and Bournemouth. Paul Caddis is almost certain to leave the club but it won't be to former loan club Birmingham as they can't afford the transfer fee. There is a lot of intetest in Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and full back Nathan Thompson. Adam Rooney is expected to sign from Birmingham on a free, after impressing at the latter end of his loan spell.
All in all its going to be a VERY busy summer at SN1!

Not worried about Luke Rooney going absolute waste of money when we bought him.

Id like to see Williams, McCormack, Collins and Thompson stay as they are key players for next season but with all that is going on I expect all of them to leave.

we will be a team of young players next season by the sounds of it and a worrying season ahead.

There is bound to be interest in a lot of players and we had a decent squad last season and should have got promoted and would of if Di Canio had stayed so now we will see the decline.

Don't think so. Elliott Bennett will be playing at Norwich next season because although he will be competing for his place given that we will bring in more wide players he will still get games.

These wide playing speed merchants break down all the time - hamstrings groins ankles knees they are like dodgy race horses. Right now besides Pilks and EB we have no wide cover when our style of play demands 3 or 4 players who can do this role.

1 up top demands wide attacking options both to stretch defences and to deliver service to the top man. In any case Elliot is a young player and there is no way we have seen the best of him yet. If he's getting starved of games then maybe he'll go out on loan in January. But I doubt this. We'll need him. Next season we'll see an even better player and there is no way 1. 75m will cover it.

Lol Harry has gone mad if he thinks Norwich will part with him for that

Stop being so pedantic. they play in the english premier league and i'm from swansea. they were invited into the english leagues years ago along with cardiff, wrexham, newport etc. otherwise we wouldn't be able to get any further than champions of the welsh premier league along with llanelli, tns, carmarthen etc.

Actually a Welsh Premier league team would be the likes of TNS, Carmarthen, Bangor for example. He referred to it correctly as it is the premier league of England

Thanks to the individual who understood what I meant.

I'm a Jack and also live in Swansea and I personally champion that fact that we are the first Welsh team to grace the PL, the first Welsh team to get into a significant European contest and the fact we have shown that it's possible to run a club profitably and still be competitive while paying FAIR wages to our players.

The WPL is massively overlooked (even by myself), so when people imply (or I assume they are) that we are an English team, I am the first to stand up and say we are Welsh, we are a part of Great Britain and not England (as many foreigners seem to not understand)!

We have been unique for the past two seasons and what we have achieved has exceeded all expectations and I for one am proud to say this has happened in Wales, in Swansea, my home!

Swansea are a welsh team playing in the english premier league. They will be representing England in the europa league. Swansea are not the first welsh team to get into a significant european contest. Swansea are not just a credit to welsh football but to the premier league of England.

Jernade Meade the former Arsenal full back is expected to sing a 3 year deal with preston early next week after being released by arsenal at the end of the season. He's been advised to join by preston winger who used to be an arsenal youngster, Jeffrey Monakana.

He might sing but he won't sign, having signed Clarke, PNE have got their full quota of full backs.
