The RBS have made it clear they are prepared to be patient to maximise Liverpool's hopes of obtaining a successful sale of the club but they do not want it dragging on unnecessarily as they want to see the Reds flourishing.
An email to one Reds' fan from Roger Lowry, the RBS' head of public affairs, read: "We are confident that the Chairman and the Board will be mindful of the need to avoid any unnecessary delay in concluding a sale, as it is in no one's interest to risk deterioration in the performance of the Club prior to it being sold.
"Our common goal is the longterm success of Liverpool Football Club and the Bank's primary objective is to ensure financial stability, so that the Club can continue to perform both on and off the football pitch.
"There is little more I can add at this juncture, only to reiterate we are supportive of the steps that have been taken and we hope to have the opportunity to continue our financial support for the Club under its new ownership, once determined."
Does the above not put to bed the rumours that the club are about to be assetstripped? Additionally, and read into what you like, but it seems to me like RBS are touting for the business of any impending new owners!
Finally as Rafa and his wife are keeping their £5 million house on the Wirral and with Rafa only on a £4 million buyout clause, don't be surprised to see him back at Anfield under any new owners..news is his (temporary) leaving was part of the deal to appease H & G who did not wish to see him profit from their misfortune.

Please tell me you knew that those two paragraphs are incongruent..
Modric. has. signed. a. new. contract. 6 years long too. If the fee wasn't ridiculous beforehand, it certainly is now. My sources believe that Ferguson is monitoring Alexis Sanchez and may make a move for him after the World Cup. YET AGAIN let me make it clear..
The LFC takeover is nearing completion but is not yet RATIFIED. EVERYTHING has been agreed apart from certain details pertaining to 'fit and proper' tests and a problem with the stadium. The issue over Hicks' demands was settled last week and has nothing to do with the running of the club. It was about something else entirely. Gillett has put up no obstacles.
The bank RBS although NOT a holder of equity in the club DOES control the sale process and has done since the turn of the year. Purslow and Broughton BOTH are bank appointees NOT the owners no matter what Hicks says. He is NOT involved. There is a huge smokescreen in play here and you MUST look beyond it to see what's happening.
IF the deal is RATIFIED expect an announcement and a world class manager. If is ISN'T ratified, expect someone like Hodgson, as talks continue.
Shirt sales and season ticket renewals are NOT down they are UP. There have been NO talks about the sale of ANY player and there won't be until the new manager starts work, just as Purslow stated. Bear in mind that Purslow said 'THE new manager' and not 'A new manager' or When we get a new manager'. This is because the new manager has already agreed a deal in principle and is just waiting for the green light.
EVERYTHING depends on the deal now in place. If it gets the go ahead things will happen VERY quickly. If it doesn't expect stopgap measure but NOT asset stripping this is impossible under the rules of ownership. Kop Holdings and the other H&G companies CANNOT strip LFC the club of any assets. They don't control the club any more.
The club and everyone involved in the deal about fifteen people have tried to keep things quiet. However a secret this big will not hold. As soon as one of the newspapers or SKY get the slightest concrete news, the story will break.
As before, believe what you like but this is what i KNOW.

Daviebhoy, John Fleck signed a new contract a few months ago. I was talking to kirk the other day as i used to play against him as a boy with valspar and auchinleck talbot. The 2 teams in for him were blackpool and also norwich, he has also told me that rangers will sign 46 new players, one of these being an older player which will keep the fans happy. I asked him if it was rino and he just shrugged his shoulder, have you heard anything about this. I also asked him about the other players and he said that the player they are hearing alot about is Mark Reynolds but walter and the staff keep there cards close to there chest and don't tell them alot. the four players i would like to see at ibrox are

Not posted for a while. I stated several months ago that Bougherra would leave to the premiership after the World Cup for around 7 Mil upwards. Straight away Celtic fans came on and said Rooney would tear him up and he is worth 2 mil topps.

Just got back from visiting my brother in the UAE, he works for a publicity company and has contacts in and around the Royal Family due to past contracts.
He has it on good authority ( an aide to a high ranking member of Royalty ) that the deal to buy Liverpool is done, but the person mentioned as the proposed buyer is not the one currently linked, although this person is helping to deflect attention.
The price will be around 525m and will include no percentage of any sort for the ex owners , but a 100% buyout. The new stadium will apparently be built, beginning Sept / Oct time, with a timeline to be finished for the start of the 2012/13 season, again with no input from the ex owners other than their original design being used.
I have no idea of the new manager or any transfer fund information. This is from a good source close to the deal and only became available in the last few days. I'm hoping this is it.

New Hereford manager Simon is set to announce 8 new signings within the next 7 days.
Davey is currently in talks with O'Neil Thompson of Barnsley, Tadhg Purcell of Darlington and Jamie Proctor of Preston. Proctor is a loan target for Davey after recommendation from assistant manager.
Davey is also talking to former Barnsley players Jon Macken, Anderson De Silva, John Paul Kissock as well as Lewis Young who are currently free agents.
Davey also hopes to negotiate the release of Dominik Werling from the contract he signed a few weeks ago with Darlington.

I really hate to say it but a lot of Celtic and Rangers fans are spoiling this site with some of the rubbish they are posting it just seem's to be a tit for tat page trying to out do each other with signings but i will say there are a few guys who do have some good rumours as much as i don't want to get into anything .

Just seen an interview with Arsene Wenger on French TV. He said that it is almost certain Fabregas would not be an Arsenal player next season, a move for Joe Cole was highly unlikely and refused to comment when asked about Van Persie's future. No mention of the France job but there has been a lot of speculation over here.

We will have a manager appointed some time over the next two months who will be on a short term contract ie an interim manager. The new owners if and when they appear will either keep him and extend the contrcat or discard him and bring in their own man probably the later.

If this is the case, then surely we are looking at 'between clubs' managers, for surely no one in their right mind would jack in a job to become temporary manager with no guaranteed continuity of sorts.
Surely KD would fit the bill perfectly, and he's not been appointed has he, I wonder why that is??

Just seen an interview with Arsene Wenger on French TV. He said that it is almost certain Fabregas would not be an Arsenal player next season, a move for Joe Cole was highly unlikely and refused to comment when asked about Van Persie's future. No mention of the France job but there has been a lot of speculation over here.

Inter milan are set to offer Balotelli and Sneijder for Javier Mascherano the deal would work out at 35 million, with Snjeider being Valued at 27 million, and Balotelli being valued at 8 million, i was shocked when i first heard this, Rafa highly Values Mascherano, and wouldn't sell him at liverpool unless he got 35 million (and still values him at 35 million), this rumor is starting to gather momentum as Mascherano is learning italian and has said in various interviews he would like to be re united with rafa.

i suppose you have had all the txts flying around bout the sale of lfc and the latest txt saying thank you mr purslow for saying club has been sold just as season ticket sales dwindle and the new kit is slow to sell well there you have it all ste not from me this sites has been buzzing with these rumours for the past few days i stated before all this that i had seen a document outlining the steps to be taken should no buyer be found and the sale of all club assets should this happen this is fact ive seen it mark my word the owners will do this as should they clear some of the debts this will mean they will have less to pay back to the banks out of the final sale price this is fcking simple arithmatic can't you stupid brds take this in say the owners are offered 500 million they owe say 350 million they make 150 million between them after debts paid so if they sell some players and say make 100 million that goes of the debt leaving the debt at 250million that means then they make 250 million between them fcking simple isn't is my god wake up will you wether we have the top payers at the club means fck all to these two cts they will sell whoever they want to pay down the debt making a final sale price and lower debts more attractive to the potential buyers this is business simple they are there to make money and that's all that matters get rid of an obsticle like rafa and then go ahead without any hindrence from the manager whom as i write this we don't have one forget what purslow says hes in it with them beleive me im not taking any delight in this im fcking gutted but these are the facts and ive seen the document outlining the worst case senario should no buyer be found in the near future hicks even stated it could take 2 years to sell the club in the meantime it will be assett stripped hes done it before with the corinthians he will do it again with lfc.

Joe Cole is not moving to United. Arsenal & Tottenham will battle it out for him.
Likely Tottenham will sign Cole, Redknapp also interested in Simon Kjaer, Taiwo of Marseille, Gokhan Inler,
Sulley Muntari, Diego Forlan, Craig Bellamy, Gervinho and Oscar Cardozo.
United are pursuing Chile's Alexis Sanchez, currently with Udinese probably going to cost around £17m£20m. MU also interested in Lass Diarra, Wesley Sneijder and Edin Dzeko, possibly Benzema however the move for Benzema depends upon Nemanja Vidic future.
Fernando Torres will wait until after the world cup before deciding his future. El Nino wants to see who the next Liverpool manager will be and what plans he has before deciding anything however its likely that until a takeover is in place at Anfield Torres will be the target of many top sides possibly Barca who are apparently willing to pay up to £50m.
Stevie Gerrard will leave Liverpool to join Real Madrid for £35m this summer.
Man City will sign Ibrahamovic for £35m or £20m + Robinho depending on whether Barca sign Mata. City also close to signing Toure from Barca. MC are also targetting Nicolas Burdisso, James Milner, Angel Di Maria, Simon Kjaer and Sergio Aguero.
Arsenal will sell Fabregas to Barcelona for £45m. Wenger will bring in Koscielny from Lorient, Yoann Gourcuff from Bordeaux (or Mesut Ozil from Bremen), Eden Hazard from Lille, Luisao from Benfica and Steve Mandanda from Marseille totalling around £50m.

Realistically, until the onwership matter is sorted out then there can be no new permanent manager, just an interim one. People are deluding themselves here if they think potential or prospective buyers are having any say what so ever. A. We are either appointing, or waiting to speak to someone who is involved in South Africa, or
B. We are close to changing ownership, therefore appointing a new manager would be senseless, unless sanctioned by any new prospective custodians.

Although we call these things 'precontract agreements', I thought they were simply contracts that neither party will start performing until a later date. If that is so and assuming English contract law applies, surely it would not be possible for a player to decide unilaterally to rip up a 'pre contract agreement'. Have I misunderstood what these precopntract agreements are?

With regards to the talk ofe Scott McDonald coming back to Scotland, I will pay every person on here that has said skippy will sign for Rangers, and he does!!
The simple fact is he won't.
However, with regards to a possible move to Celtic, Lennon mentioned a few weeks ago that players Like Skippy and Macca are the type he wants in the team, players who give 120%, now it's widely known that Skippy hasn't settled down there, and that Lenny is willing to accept offers in he 2.3m+ range.
So IMO I can see a swap deal going ahead, benefiting both clubs, Stephen Mac plus 1m for Skippy (prob the reason why Lenny stuck a 2.5m price tag on his head)
As I said, that is just my educated opinion, but will be speaking to somebody later who may shine some light on situation for me

Fact not rumor, I work for a financial institute in Dublin and there has been activity involving a party in the middle east, news over here is that there was an offer a good offer, but it is now dead in the water, all the talk of an abu dabi buyer is false, someone is trying to raise the bar, the finances are in place for next season according to this source, two large name players will be sold, but the owners have been warned that to sell all the main stars will destroy asian fan bases, so 1 player will be retained. The fact is no buyer is in place and aparently ticket sales are at a dangerous level for this part of the summer, also a new manager is not in place, 3 men have been approached and all have asked about funds only to be told there are none, the debts have mounted over the close season. Player sales are going to be used to finance the loans, its a bad time for Liverpool, they are a long way off a takeover

Palermo has said that Kjaer and Cavani will be sold for big money if the price is right. Just adds more fuel to the Kjaer rumours. Love to see him at Arsenal but I don't think that's gonna happen. No idea who might come in for Kjaer or Cavani but you do get the feeling that they might both be gone before the start of the new season. Shame too as 1 more season at Palermo could probably bring Champios League Qualification for the club.

Norwich boss Paul Lambert is looking to add to the signing of Andrew Surman with the signing of Gillingham striker Simeon Jackson. A fresh £500k bid this time with more money up front and less paid in instalments is suspected to be more tempting for Gillingham.
Frasier Forster is still Lambert's first choice as goalkeeper recruitment but it is understood that Lambert is looking at alternatives. Tim Krul, Forster's team mate, on loan is one option. Martin Fulop, formerly of Sunderland is another. The other option is understood to be Chelsea's Ross Turnbull. He is understood to want first team football but Chelsea are only interested in a six month loan with an option to recall.
Finally, the other player Norwich are in for is Wycombe's Matt Phillips. Phillips is very highly rated by a number of teams and is currently considering his options.

OK, I have a few connections, through my career involving merchandising and these a genuine, but not concrete.
The situation at Liverpool is that they have not been sold as yet. The Banks, although owed the money are not stupid. They too see a possible gain in any takeover that occurs. This has been touted as sponsorship deals and construction backed companies. Dont be fickle, the more money each member can make, they will try!
This is the stumbling block. There are offers being investigated, and one is good for the owners, not great for the banks, the other is good for the banks, but not for the owners. Both parties are trying to get the other to give ground. I have asked about the 2 offers, but my source will not disclose any more info, which kinda does make me believe the rumours about a gagging order.
In terms of the manager, there will be an interim manager, and Pellegrini, Bilic and Hodgson have been looked at. Now I have been told the decision has been made, but will not be named until after the WC.
Players? I only have a contact within Umbro, and she informs me that Gerrard is not 100% happy. But that doesn't really tell us much!

1. Why would Scott McDonald sign for us so soon after leaving Celtic AND take a wage cut.
2. Why would SAF help us out by giving us Fabio, Obertan and Mancheda on loan when he has never really loaned us any1 before? ( as much as I would love to see Mancheda play for us)

As I read it (being no lawyer) the judge has ruled that both the equity "partners", controlled by Hicks, and the unsecured lenders can vote on the sale of the Texas Rangers. Certainly there is a strong suggestion that it ISN'T Pelligrini, but there's so much misinformation/educated guesswork flying around about this one, even from previously reliable sources, that its difficult to be confident of anything. Two constants of recent days suggest that Pelligrini didn't get the gig and nor has Kenny, but whether that's (a) correct and (b) means that its a shoe in for Hodgson, I'm not 100% sure. I can see why LFC would want to wait until the WC is over or at least England exit the WC before making any formal announcement (because they'll want it to get as high profile as they can) but at the moment the enxt manager is either a very well kept secret, or its Hodgson :S

Norwich City are currently in negotiations with Bournemouth over starstriker Brett Pittman. Although Bournemouth are reluctant to let him go, the Canaries have offered a £300k AND Rhoys Wiggins (with clauses, including a buyback option) for the forward.
In a similar deal, Norwich are looking to complete the signing of Simeon Jackson for around £250k (not the ridiculous £500k+ being suggested in the media). As part of the deal, Cody McDonald and Jed Steer will join Gillingham on loan deals until January.
Andy Dorman is in contract discussions, although this move is largely dependant on other midfielders moving on. Darel Russell WILL leave the club shortly (presumably to Leeds), whilst Owain TudorJones will make a return to Yeovil. Dorman has a host of admirers however, so his signing of no formality, with Blackpool also chasing him.
The clubs interest in Danny Green has cooled lately, but this is a deal that may resurface later in the window.
Fraser Forster's proposed deal is the one where patience is needed due to Newcastle's reluctance to rush a decision on him.

I don't know if this is a rumor but some news from the US. A Federal Judge today ruled that Hicks cannot sell the Texas Rangers until all the Rangers creditors have been paid. This may cause him to need an influx of cash and speed up the process of Liverpool being sold. Dont have any inside info, just seems to make sense.

Kozluk was on 6K per week and with Moore (6K plus appearance money) were biggest earner. Shackell is also on 6K per week but with additional bonus payments in place for league position points etc etc. PC will not allow the club to be held to ransom tahts why Boggy left, Kozzy not good enough and Moore too old.
Doncaster were not outbid for Jason Shackell who was sold for £500,000 they were outbid on wages the statement the Donny Board put forward was that they were not prepared to put the club at risk with wages of which Barnsley offered £13k per week. As for Donny not being able to make any large bids for players well they do have one bid in for £1.4m at present.

No I am not daft and unlike most of the tripe posted on here I know what I stated to be the truth. Barnsley had a wage structure in place under Davey and by the way Moore, Bogdanovich and Kosluk were all on more than £6k, Robin's has been allowed to offer more for certain players as long as he reduced the wage bill before hand. Barnsley will sign less players than those released but of a better quality.

Seems the finances at OT are reaching crisis point. Real Madrid have made an £80m bid for Rooney which the Glazers are keen to accept. Ferguson is not happy and is digging his heels in. Rooney is trying to make the deal happen and is trying to get Gerrard to join him. Gerrard knows the score at LFC and is excited by the thought of some big name players coming to Anfield he's going nowhere. Interestingly Ferguson is keen to let Vidic go as his value has increased to a ridiculous £25m way beyond his own valuation and he sees this as a way of raising funds to purchase some young players to replace the likes of Giggs/Scholes/Neville/VDS etc. There have, however, been no assurances from the Glazers that he can spend the money raised from transfers out. Also I understand that if Rooney is sold it will be on the last day of the transfer window so that it does not affect season ticket sales.
