Have heard loads od rumours about antoine-curier joinig swindon. does anyone know if this is true and if so when will the deal be completed?

Swindon are interested in signing Antoine-Curier, and kit's just a matter of him agreeing terms and moving down from Dundee to Wiltshire.

He's a nomadic player, but is looking to settle for good - and he guarantees goals (check out his scoring record) so would be a good signing for them imho, and there doesn't seem to be too many rival bids for him.

Rhys Weston could also be moving to the County Ground (but this would be a cash deal as he is still under contract unlike Antoine-Curier who can sign for nothing) but Leigh Griffiths looks set for a move to Leeds United to team up with best mate Rob Snodgrass.so when do you reckon the deals if they happen will be completed by

1st week of November at the very latest for Mickael Antoine-Curier.

Rhys Weston may be longer, as he is under contract.(0)(0)

Lewis Stevenson is disillusioned with life at Hibs, and is looking at moves to either the Championship or League 1.

Swansea City, Bristol City, Sheffield United, Coventry City, Leeds United, Huddersfield Town and Swindon Town are on red alert for the Scottish youngster - so expect bids to come in thick and fast for the midfielder who is out of contract at the end of the season(2)(2)

IF Rooney leaves old trafford expect suarez or aguero to replace him as they are two players we have been tracking for a while. However, if he goes to real madrid expect a Benzema + cash deal as David Gill openly said we bidded for Benzema before he joined real. I reckon a deal may be on the cards for Ashley Young at the end of the season as well as Steven Defour. Dont expect us to sign Sneijder ( although i would love to see him at old trafford) as he will only come to us if Jose Mourinho replaces Sir Alex some time in the next 50 years when he eventualy retires lol plus inter would want an actual pot of gold for him as he is there best player. Liverpools new owners would never sanction a move for Torres to move to OT (again, i would love to see it happen) as they will be seen as vilians by the scousers before they even get going. We won't sign Bale either as Tottenham are trying to build a squad so they wouldn't sell one of there best players. If we signed anyone from them it would be modric. Btw, i know he scored a good hatrick against inter but Gareth Bale worth 45mil. that made me laugh(7)(3)

I don't claim to know the full story surrounding rooney's reasons for wanting to leave but if it is because of a lack of ambition and activity in the transfer market then surely it would make sense for the owners to spend 50 million on new players rather than lose that amount anyway if he walks. On another note im suprised fergie has stood for this penny pinching behaviour from our transatlantic slap heads and think he should issue an ultimatum for more funds. just a thought.(5)(2)

You misread the article my friend. At no point did it suggest Leicester would sign Mattock on loan. It just pointed out they'd be willing to send him out on loan. It was from West Brom's perspective, not Leicester's.(14)(2)

I normally post just on the Manchester United site but this time I want to ask a more general question. Why do the Sun newspaper, Daily Mirror, Star, Express, Mail, Sunday People, News of the World etc, all let Sir Alex Ferguson get away with this crass rubbish about no value in the market? He came out with it again yesterday yet non of the tabloid newspapers have really challenged him on this. There seems to be an acceptance of the way things are, that he says it and it is fact. It is clear that he has been starved of money, that the club's ambition is not to win titles but to earn enough income to pay the interest on our debts. The papers seem to chose Rooney as the villain whilst just accepting Sir Alex's assertion there is no value as fact. The fact he said it again yesterday shows to me he is under pressure, he knows that after what happened to Rooney that he is more under the spotlight than any time since the late 1980's. So are the papers scared of pressing him about this crazy assertion because 1) they are afraid he will cut them off from conferences 2) they can't understand what he means or 3) they are happy to see the end of his dynasty fade away with mediocre players.
I remember a headline in the Manchester Evening News, Cold Trafford and it signalled the end of Dave Sexton. So just why are the newspapers letting Sir Alex off the hook?

Why are people saying that Rooney will stay in the UK because of Colleen?

Hello! After hurting her that bad, she will want Wayne out of her life.

Rooney will then be single and be able to go to Madrid with no ties (not the type you buy at M&S either!)(7)(8)

Whichever club rooney decided to go to it won't be made public until january. right now faxes are coming into old trafford and the phone will be ringing off the hook but if any deal does go through it will be announced in last week of xmas (just my opinion). i would expect a private bidding war with calm being spouted by fergie to appease the man u fans. Hey he may even fool everyone and stay at old trafford(5)(2)

Rooney is to resign for everton in a swap deal with pienaar (6month left on contract)going the other way + £6mil. .rooneys wife has a sister who is very ill and neither want to move far away from her, so only a few clubs could sign him because of this, lpool can't afford his wages, city won't be offered him and and he is an everton fan, even the fans would welcome him back if he played well for them

There's more chance of Everton signing me and I'm 46 and a stone over weight!(4)(11)

I heard through the grapevine that Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson is on the cusp and if he fails to win in Europe tonight he may well be on his way, the new owners gave Hodgson their backing but they have since met with Liverpool supporter groups who have voiced concerns over the current manager and unfortunatley for Roy he will be gone sooner rather than later which is pretty unfair considering he didn't have a lot of money or time but he did sign Christian Poulsen and he did send Alberto Aquilani on loan, he can't be blamed for the likes of Benayoun, Mascherano and Riera leaving as they were already on their way but I was looking forward to seeing a fully fit Aquaman this season and Jovanovic in my opinion is not good enough for Liverpool but again he was a Benitez signing, I think Joe Cole and Raul Meireles will prove to be good signings for Liverpool and Paul Koncheky is a good buy for £3m even if it is as a second choice left back Roy couldnt go out and splash £15-20m on a left back like Chelsea{Zhirkov} or City{Kolarov} but now that we have funds maybe we can go for someone like Fabio Coentrau or Gareth Bale and im prayin that we get Wazza I know it is very unlikely but there are rumours that he wants to stay in Northern England and that would only leave City and Liverpool, what better way for the new owners to show there commitment than to bring in Wayne Rooney, Wayne will be hated whichever one of the two he chooses 1.it is known that he does not get on with City captain Carlos Tevez whereas he is good friends with Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and vice-captain Jamie Carragher there are also now a number of others he would know like Glen Jonson and Joe Cole 2. I'm sure he would love to partner Torres upfront to make the best partnership in world football, while him and Gerrard seem to link up very well when partnered for England 3. Liverpool are on the up with new owners comes a new stadium and that which Rooney seeks investment in the squad 4. if he wants to stay in the north of England then I think it would be better for him to move back to his home city Liverpool as if he stays in Manchester he will probably need a police escort everywhere he goes, granted he will get a bit of stick off Evertonians but the majority of his hometown will adore him 5. what better way to stick it to Sir Alex and David Gill than move to Liverpool

Don't think so! Utd already have one annoyingly lazy and unpredictable striker in Berbatov. Not likely to go ahead and sign a carbon copy of him!

All that will be achieved is to burden Utd with another sour faced and self-obsessed ego who only wants to play when he's winning!

So Roy is getting kicked out of Liverpool 3mil the richer with King Kenny stepping in to steady the ship until Dutch Frank comes on board with Cruyff to be his advisor, like at Barca. The one thing that Liverpool want is to keep Torres and now he has vowed never to play for Hodgson making Roys days at Anfield numbered. Just sit back and watch it happen!

Will Mike Ashley be tempted to try and get Hodgson at Newcastle after a stuttering start from Hughton? You never can tell! ! !
