Bet this dosent make tabloid headlines, since it prooves that not all footballers are self serving and greedy! Plymouth Argyles players, to a man, have donated their wages for this month to the non playing staff, many of whom are struggling. Paul Scholes will finish his career at Oldham Athletic he is set to sign a two year contract despite being 36 the influential playmaker is still wanted as a squad player and would without doubt still start for more than half of the teams in the premier league but despite Fergie's efforts Scholes has decided it is time to leave Old Trafford and play for the club he supported as a boy.You heard it hear first tis is not a joke.

If Saints get promoted neither Chambo or Lala will be going anywhere. Lallana signed a new contract in January and has 4 years left of it. He loves Southampton his whole family are Saints fans and he's been at the club for over 10 years. Also, like stated before, there is no way our chariman Nicola Cortese will do business with Alan Pardew, they hate the bones of each other! If Chamberlain goes anywhere it'll be to Chelsea mark my words, he's a Chelsea fan and his dad doesn't see Arsenal as the best place to continue his footballing development due to how long it took Walcott to mildly improve.

The rumours about an American company taking over at Tranmere are very much true. Club 9 sports who attempted to buy Sheff Wed not so long ago have been in talks with Tranmere Chairman for a number of weeks. Representatives of Club 9 have visited Prenton Park and have made an offer. Jon Pritchett the ceo of Club 9 has stated that talks are at an advanced stage and they hope the deal to be finalised soon.
Rovers fans are concerned that the company intend to asset strip the club however Club 9 have been quick to deny this and have emphasised that their desire is to improve the club and help it grow. Noel Whelan has been working alongside Club 9 and could be part of the new set up at Prenton Park.
As yet there has been no indication of their intentions for investment or what they intend to do with the current management set up, although at tuesday nights game with Notts County former captain Jimmy Harvey was a guest in the Vice presidents suite, sparking rumours that he may be in line to take over at the club in the summer.
This deal is definatley happening though some info can be found on the club 9 website.

I have just bin to Preston North End open traning day at Deepdale. Youl mawene was traning with the first team. at the end of the sesion he was signing shirts and haveing pitchers and he sead to me he would love to come back to preston and he is going to have talks with Phil Brown about a new contract at Preston.

Tranmere will use the Easter Monday home game with Exeter City to announce that American Company, Club9Sports, will take over the running of the Merseyside club ready for the beginning of pre-season 2011/12.
Off the pitch, Chief Executive, Mick Horton, is expected to remain on the board of the League One Club. He will, however, step down from his current role, assuming that of a Non-Executive Director.
Former Coventry City and Middlesbrough man, Noel Whelan is set to join the club, possibly as Director of Football or Football Management Consultant, while assistant manager Kevin Summerfield and first team coach Dave Lowe will leave. It is believed that £5million will be made available to manager Les Parry for new recruits and wages while, the former physio will be given a two year plan to take Rovers into the Championship.
Ed, is this true or not? I'm a Tranmere fan and I've not heard anythng about this! Some how I don't think this is true. {Ed001's Note - I doubt the coaches would be getting removed if the club has money available, they might be leaving if no takeover is completed as wages are an issue. So on the whole I doubt this story, it just doesn't add up, though the club is up for sale.}

Just clarifying the position with Europa league qualification (esp for LFC fans) if Man City win the FA Cup and fail to qualify for Champions league, ie by finishing 5th, then 6th place gets a europa league spot. Any other combination, ie stoke winning cup or city in CL and Stoke get the europa league place.

Just to say that my friend's son knows rangers assistant manager ally mccoist's son, and he has told me that rangers could be selling mcgregor to a top turkish team or a mid-table premier league team. This has not been told to the press as rangers do not want alot of media about it, also they could bid for st mirren defender darren mcgregor for about £200,000 to replace david weir who could call it a day after this season.
This is only a rumour which i've been told, so i can't confirm it totally but i would like to hear your views on it. {Ed007's Note - McGregor is supposedly in talks over a contract extension, he isn't being greedy and knows the clubs plight, but he would like to stay, and if he leaves it will be for the good of the club and for a decent transfer fee. IMO he will be at Ibrox next year, but I've been wrong before and will be wrong again}

I agree with Ed. He is very loyal to Rangers. If he does leave i reckon Tottenham would be the place he would go. Hutton is the aswell.

Regarding the rangers post, i think that mccoist went to watch gareth macauley playing recently and is very keen on him, also he is a centre back, but that darren mcgregor is a great player and he showed it v rangers at the weekend, hardly made a mistake and scored st mirrens goal, was a very good goal infact

Just spent some time drinking with an off duty Belfast taxi driver. He reckoned he had Gareth MacAuley in his cab this week, and he has agreed to sign for Rangers.
Said source was reliable yet very drunk! ! Having seen said player stand out in the NI v Slovenia match, I hope this is genuine. . . .
