Crewe to sign Ashley Vincent as he has failed to agree terms with Port Vale.

21 May 2013 00:05:28
Signed for Bristol rovers on 2 year deal.

21 May 2013 09:47:07
He's still got another year of his contract at Vale

22 May 2013 00:02:09
After the vale came out of administration Ashley Vincent signed a 12 month contract in july 2012. That contract is now up hence mickey adams offering him a revised 2 year contact which he has turned down. For him to drop down a league to sign for Bristol rovers he must have been offered some silly money. (we have budgeted for a higher wage bill but have to be prudent else we will land up back in the mire).

Kris Boyd set stay kilmarnock 100%

20 May 2013 23:00:48
Released Winger Ashley Vincent is a target for Gillingham.

Rather not!

Hi all,

My uncle works at Portman Road and he told me Aston Villa have come back in for Aaron Cresswell now they are safe. They looked at him last summer and were linked with a £3.5m move which never came off. He is going to Villa to negotiate a £2.5m move which could be worth more if he establishes himself as a first teamer.

I have no idea why the fee has gone down. He has had a decent season!

I also heard that Ipswich rejected a £500,000 offer for centre back Tommy Smith from Fulham.

21 May 2013 14:15:59
Ipswich would need to get as high a fee as they possibly can as 20% of it has to go to Tranmere as part of the deal imposed by a tribunal when then player moved to ITFC. So anything less than 2.5m would probably leave Ipswich feeling short changed.

Thats all rubbish! {Ed016's Note - Ipswich will not take anything less than about 3 million for Cresswell, they are in no need to sell}

20 May 2013 22:45:24
Middlesbrough looking to sign a striker. One of: Leroy Lita (Swansea City), Jay Simpson (released by Hull City) or Simeon Jackson (Norwich City)

20 May 2013 23:43:40
Simeon Jackson has been released by Norwich today. Good championship striker, deserves a decent club. OTBC!

Hardly a fans favourite used to take a lot of stick always offside and very selfish I personally wouldn't want him back very frustrating player

We will be looking to sign two forwards if we can offload emnes or mcdonald becchio be gud signing not been getting games at norwich

Out of those strikers i'd go with Jackson!

Jackson all the way. Better than Simpson and Lita is passed it

20 May 2013 22:42:14
Any gillingham news ed?

You won't find much news at the moment, maybe some information next month i'm sure MA will trial players for contracts. He said he won't rush into any signings and needs to discuss contracts with current out of contract players first. then discuss with scally the budget for next month
oh and we haven't actually got a full scouting team yet at moment either! = (

21 May 2013 18:41:39
Get your facts right buddie.
FACT. Allen said he wan'ts to get his transfer actvity done early. HE said what is the point of going on holiday until your tranfers are in place

Um, you get your facts straight. Martin Allen is going on holiday tomorrow, meeting the chairman in Dubai at the end of next week to sort out the budget for next season.

24 May 2013 15:27:03
He has been away and meeting with the chairman today

20 May 2013 21:06:31
hi ed, any news on tranmere signing or interested in anyone? cheers trfc till I die

Scott Wagstaff

Look like bringing in sidibie and ferdinand from peterborough

Where did you hear scott wagstaff

There is a picture doing the rounds with Wagstaff wearing a Tranmere shirt on holiday

Ex-Sheffield Wednesday defender Julian Bennett and Rotherham striker Kayode Odejayi

20 May 2013 22:42:55
Ricardo Fuller is in minor discussions with newly promoted Port Vale, after recently admitting he want's to come back and live in staffordshire, after his contract with charlton wasnt renewed!

Come on home big man

If he joins we are going up!

22 May 2013 15:30:04
he was on 11,000 at charlton that's why we released him, and the fact he is injury prone, never would go that low league

20 May 2013 22:10:23
Bradford are interested in Lyle Taylor from Falkirk as they are in need of another striker with it looking like Andy Gray and Alan Connell may be on the way out, with Gray looking to go to Accrington and Connell to go to Portsmouth.

Dave Syers could be coming back to Bradford after Doncaster went up and with Dickov coming in looking to sign CM's from his old club Oldham, it looks like he won't get the chance at Donny.

With Bradford looking to sign a RM, they are interested in bringing in Jimmy Ryan from Scunthorpe with them dropping into League Two and Ryan wanting to play a higher level of football than league 2

As a Bournemouth fan I would advise Bradford against signing Lyle unless he has improved exponentially since he left us. Never really looked like doing anything for us and even struggled in the BSP.

Syers won't leave donny

Doubt jimmy ryan will move. His wife had a child last night and he will want to settle down in Scunthorpe with it.

Dave syres is going no where

Syers not in first team because of injury and lack of match fitness so he won't be leaving as he proved his worth when he was fit

"Our season"

Any news on todorov

20 May 2013 22:10:17
Heard from a good source Jason Steele to Fulham

20 May 2013 22:06:37
Ipswich town have enquired about VVV Venlo's Australian Under19 winger Travis Cooper.

After relegation from the Eredivisie, much of their first team has been told they can move on.

20 May 2013 22:04:53
Leicester City want to take West Brom Defender Craig Dawson on loan next season after he impressed at a loan spell with Bolton

If he's going anywhere it'll be back to Bolton.

No way would I let him out on loan if iwas Steve Clarke. eexcellent player. should be in the 1st team, single handedly saved Bolton.

He will be in the first team next season
at albion

Dawson will become key figure at WBA next season when Olsson moves on in the summer. Classy defender who MUST be given his chance

Dawson will replace Olsson. After to say if we get a offer of 3m plus for Olsson i'd sell. Getting slower and slower

20 May 2013 22:01:48
Bristol city set to sign jay Simpson and Scott flinders in the coming days with baldock looking for a move to championship and adomah to go to either palace or cardiff

20 May 2013 21:52:17
arry is ready to walk out of qpr now he has cleaned them out and got them relegated, he leaves a terrible mess, pompey mk2?

He needs to stop being a wheeler dealer and start being a football manager.

I think Hughes and the QPR chairman deserve some of the credit for what's happening at loftus rd. Redknapps on borrowed time but the financial stability of the club is never in doubt pompey have been owned by some right dodgy people. QPR will be the first club in london to have a state of the art multi use stadium with entertainment complex retail venues aswell as bars and resturants all in one place meaning any loses made by the club now will be offset against huge potential earnings. Why do you think that some of the richest people in the country are queing up to invest in the club. It sometimes feels asthough you can't walk around loftus rd these days without bumping into a billionaire jeez I hope your clubs future is as bright

Things like the sports centre with entertainment venues and shopping and everything will take years to come to fruition. Where will you be then? Once its built what then for the fans? increased ticket prices to pay for it!

21 May 2013 11:31:30

20 May 2013 21:50:57
Kolo Toure set to sign for Liverpool on free transfer

20 May 2013 21:39:23
Middlesbrough to sign Lita from Swansea. Mowbray is keen to bring back the striker who was a fans favourite at the riverside.

Lita was NOT a fans favourite

He'd much prefer a return to Hillsborough as he's already stated his desire to make the move permanent

Hope this isn't true! he's better off at wednesday (not good enough and never was for middlesbrough

Leeroy lita is a lost cause, he's far too old for boro

20 May 2013 21:29:05
Scott arfield will be next one in at oldham

20 May 2013 21:26:29
Simeon Jackson, who is being released by Norwich, may be on the move to Charlton as a free agent, now that we have released some of our players

Don't want him. Thanks.

Then you have no idea about football. scored something like 8 goals in the final 10 games in the season we went up to the prem. very crucial goals, just no place for him with wolfswinkel coming it.

Bloody hope so

As a Charlton fan I'd love to have him! Would be a dream signing.

Love to see him in addicks kit next season

Haha Jackson is not very good sorry he has heart and is fast but he can't shoot no power no skill rubbish maybe with more games he will improve he dose have heart ill give him that

He would get 20 goals for charlton in that league, no brainer

Great signing he would be love to see him at the valley next season

20 May 2013 21:06:58
Laudrup is reportedly looking to exploit the changing of the guard at Man United by trying to poach Javier Hernandez, who he thinks might be left out in the cold by David Moyes. Laudrup has often said that they need a striker to reduce the pressure on Michu, with Hernandez fine with playing Europa League, so long as he gets guarenteed game time at the Swans

20 May 2013 21:06:12
Richie Barker is hopeful of bringing Bradley Wright-Phillips to Crawley, the striker is getting released from Charlton Athletic.

I think you might have that one wrong, he is on his way to Swindon town.

No way, Crawley couldn't afford his wages.

21 May 2013 15:14:23
I think you will find crawley are far better off than swindon

20 May 2013 21:04:26
Matt Tubbs and Jason Banton to join Crawley Town on loan from Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively.

This seems to be the weekly Tubbs to Crawley rumour, it won't happen unless Bournemouth subsidised his wages.

Tubbs in on mega wages and Crawley can't afford them. Bournemouth are stuck with him

22 May 2013 12:26:55
Crawley are selling the new owners will bring big money enough to build a bigger ground and enough to buy better players.

Palace are keeping banton as a back up winger or maybe even a replacement for wilf

20 May 2013 21:02:05
Wilson palacios is expected to sign. Hull enquired about him in the last window but nothing came of it.

20 May 2013 21:00:54
Centre Forward Nathaniel Jarvis will be on trail with Portsmouth as Guy Whittingham continues his hasty rebuild after Cardiff released him.

21 May 2013 01:58:52
No thanks, Agyemang, Connolly, Craddock and Harris will do me fine thanks.

Pompey TJS

Neil Allen confirmed he is not on trial

20 May 2013 20:59:02
manuel pelegrini will make 4 big signings this summer from la liga with spanish duo jesus navas and isco joining. the paraguayan will also bring in malagadefender martin demichellis and the big signing will be radamel falcao in a british transfer record deal.

He is from Chile not Paraguay mate. so rock solid information.

pabs

20 May 2013 20:47:34
Leeds united closing in on the signing of southampton striker billy sharp and are thought to of agreed a fee of 1.5 million with the south coast club

Any true forest news

Would love to have him at elland road, but aren't there some good attacking options just been released. Simeon Jackson
Ebanks Blake
Hunt (Winger) {Ed016's Note - Ipswich are leading the race for these three players}

20 May 2013 20:45:47
Crewe to sign Anthony Grant recently released from Stevenage

Grant hasn't been released, he has been transfer listed.

20 May 2013 20:38:20
Ipswich are linked with a £1.2m bid on bringing back Palace defender Damien Delaney to Portman Road. His performances since his release have been impressive and manager Mick McCarthy is keen on being reunited with the republic of Ireland international.

We won't pay that for a pltyer we gave away for free!

We wouldn't spend that much money on any one player. He isn't worth that much. We wouldn't want him back. He wouldn't want to come back. He is an average defender and we wouldn't want to mess with the Chambers - Smith partnership.

This rumour must be a wind up.

21 May 2013 12:50:07
1.2m more like 5m. Haha

20 May 2013 20:09:53
Korey Smith to sign for Oldham.

Hope this is true! Quality player. We improved his game and LJ is a fan. Gaffers

20 May 2013 19:59:25
New Manchester United boss David Moyes is wanting to add three new faces to his Old Trafford squad, unless anyone leaves the side.
Moyes is keen on adding two defenders and a midfielder.
One of the defenders is young Athletic Bilbao player Aymeric Laporte. Moyes was keen on signing Laporte for Everton but also sees the potential in him to join United. Laoprte isn't expected to jump straight in the first team but is regarded as one of the French stars of the future at the tender age of 18.
The second defender is thought to be Chelsea star Ashley Cole. Cole was initially wanting to stay in London but is keen on possibly joining Moyes in Manchester. It will all depend on if Jose Mourinho joins Chelsea as boss.
Moyes' third transfer target is Zenit player Axel Witsel. Witsel only signed for the Russian side in September but is keen on getting away. The former Standard Liege and Benfica player is expected to cost anything around the £55 million mark.

Moyes will go for
Bale/Ronaldo
Fellaini
Baines

Moyes wants Baines not Cole

Why on earth would utd pay 55m for Witsel?

21 May 2013 10:30:04
He won't get Baines - doesn't want to leave as he is a fan favorite - Fellaini will go if Chelsea/City meet his release clause otherwise Moyes has alrady assured Kenwright he will not approach COYB

20 May 2013 20:40:37
Kilmarnock look any players from League One or Two

Shiels look attacker midfielder, Defenders, replace Dayton and Gros before training camp pre-season

20 May 2013 20:35:20
Been hearing numerous rumours that Norwich are still holding ongoing talks with Gary Hooper

Omg a fresh rumour. If there's one thing this forum needed.

Hooper must know we play one up top and we've sign RVW. So where is Hooper going to play?

No harm in competition spots. Also, RVW has experience playing just off the front man like Hoolahan does. With Hooper, Holt, RVW and Hoolahan that would give us an awful lot of flexibility up front. Bit of competition and opportunities for rotation, which is something that I think would have been a big help this year.

Dont want him at the price suggested there is much better out there for that money

20 May 2013 20:29:47
Huddersfield set to sign Simeon Jackson after his release from Norwich!

If you sign him you will get a great player for this level. Works his socks off. We loved him at norwich. all the best Simeon and thanks

Hope so

Him and Vaughan would be a right pairing! Get spending hoyle!

I always rated him at Gills, if he works hard and scores a fair few goals I'd be more than happy to welcome him to Huddersfield.

Dont be silly jackson won't join huddersfield he will be signing for leeds

20 May 2013 20:23:39
My sources have advised me that Ipswich, which have been looking for defensive midfielder to replace N'Daw, have been scouting former Chelsea trialist Adigun Salami. He currently plays he Denmark but is considered to be worthy of a try.

I will keep you posted

20 May 2013 20:20:12
Is Karl Robinson going to Sheffield United? I mean is it nearly definite or has he not even spoken to them?

He is not getting spoken too.

20 May 2013 19:56:08
Its between Charlton, Burnley and Bournemouth to sign former Norwich city, now free agent, Simeon Jackson

He will sign for charlton to replace danny haynes

I've heard rumours of him going to Hull or Cardiff.

Charlton, Practically a done deal {Ed016's Note - Not what I've been told}

Oh Ed016 deary, can you tell us what you have been told? Please deary, you know you want to. {Ed016's Note - Leeds in pole position}

20 May 2013 19:52:10
Rochdale set to sign bury duo Shaun harrad and Trevor carson

Heard that hill wants harrad

No chance Carson linked with a 20k move to Birmingham

21 May 2013 00:37:48
They're welcome to Harrad.

Welcome to have both

20 May 2013 19:49:31
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is keen on signing a defender, midfielder and a forward to compete in The Championship.
French defender Yoann Zanoni had been on trial with The Cherries towards the end of last season and has been invited back for another week in pre season. Howe was impressed with Zanoni but is keen on getting his fitness up before a contract is agreed.
Young Crystal Palace midfielder Bayan Fenwick has impressed Howe on loan this season at Eastbourne. Fenwick is tipped to be a star for the future and could sign a season long loan deal towards the end of July. Fenwick will train with the club for two weeks and then the details of the loan will be agreed from there.
The forward linked with The Cherries is Stefan Cebara. The 22 year old impressed a number of Italian sides over the last few months but has chose to join an English side. The former Zalaegerszegi TE striker currently plays in Slovenia for Celje and could cost the South Coast club around £100,000.

Eddie howe said last week on radio solent he was going to sign players with championship experience

none of these 3 tick that box

Why would we want fenwick when we have a better player in young carmichael if he is fit for the start of the new season

20 May 2013 19:38:58
liam bridcutt is on Werder Bremens radar with a possible €6 million bid in the pipeline

10 million actually

20 May 2013 19:35:44
followed Darren Bent's white range rover into Norwich today on my way to work. i'm praying he isn't signing!

How do you know it was his?

Why would Norwich want Bent? Surely, RVW, GH, LB are better, also Gary Hooper looks to be going to Norwich.

I've always been of the opinion of not really wanting to see Bent at Norwich. However, if Hughton can get him firing again and he's willing to take a pay cut, it might be a good option. Lambert is a lousy man manager and he falls out with everyone whereas Hughton is a much better option for Bent.

Im sorry but on his day bent is better then GH and LB (haven't seen RVW play). This is coming from a norwich fan as well.

Not sure if I'd want him though as his wage will probs be quite a bit and we'd have to mould the team round him/

Bent has got serious pace and ability to finish and with Snodgrass and Hoolahan putting the ball in the right places he could score lots of goals. A proven premier league goal scorer unlike Hooper who plays against amateurs in jockland could be good, but would have very high wages though.

21 May 2013 16:45:11
He's obviously better villa payed 20+ million for him

Liverpool payed 35m for Andy Carroll, doesn't make him good though

22 May 2013 17:39:28
hes ex ipswich never going to happen

20 May 2013 19:27:08
Leeds considering a move for commanding CB Zurab Khizanishvili, formerly of Rangers, Blackburn and Brian McDermott's Reading. The Georgian is available on a free after leaving Kayserispor.

Not true it was confirmed this morning he has signed a new contract at Kayserispor

Just signed a one year extension with current club.

20 May 2013 19:26:27
dani alves to psg this summer

Could see it. Benitez signing

20 May 2013 19:25:55
Simeon Jackson has been released by Norwich City.

Huddersfield Town and Derby County are the most interested in the championship, another battle for a striker from Norwich will commence as both are going after James Vaughan too.

However expect several other championship teams to be linked with him in the coming weeks that may be able to beat the rams and terriers in terms of wage offering.

Vaughan, Jackson and Wells, now that's some attack the Terriers are going to have.

It would sadden me if Huddersfield were showing this ambition and blowing Derby out of the water. Long way to go but Rush has been promising we will be excited by the team we have by the end of the transfer window.

Hey ho let's see what the summer brings, either more spin or maybe some substance.

COYR etc.

With both sets of fans stating that they are ahead in the race for Vaughan over and over again I can't wait for him to sign just to see the face on some Derby fans, or Hudders fans. It seems as though this is both teams no 1 target and one set of fans is going to come away very happy, the other with egg on their face!

As a Rams fan I agree don't think either really knows to be honest. I would have the terriers slightly ahead on location he had a sucessful time last season. Not getting into who's the biggest either etc.

Watch Charlton sign him now.

Im a derby fan and would not be happy with Vaughn signing

Why does anyone need to have egg on their faces? I'm a Derby fan and I certainly wouldn't laugh at any Hudders fans if they were to miss out on his signature. Likewise the other way around, I know Nigel will have other targets that would make us a better team. It's certainly not the end of the world.

We (derby) are not ahead he was on loan there which gives them the advantage, hudds will more than likely get him. But we will have other targets

20 May 2013 19:07:53
Gary McSheffrey is set to follow his old boss Aidy Boothroyd to Northampton. He is a direct replacement for Ishy Demontagnac who is now on the transfer list, following a season of unconvincing displays.

20 May 2013 19:06:24
lewis mcgugan is to snub a new deal at forrest and move to 1 of premeir trio swansea, southampton and wba

I've heard he's very close to signing a new 3 year deal at forest

I think he is best off at Forest, he's doing some very good work there and I'm not sure how well he'd settle to another club. He'd do best to stay and push on with Forest who could be a Premiership club again really if they play their cards right this summer. Good luck for next season (From a Southampton fan).

Southampton won't be interested in him. We are linked with 15 million rated midfielders from abroad, not mcgugan.

Your chairman is thinking about going so you won't be spending 15 mill

Keep up, our chairmen is staying and we are spending around 30 mill this summer.

Chairman has resigned he was just using the press to force more money out of the owners.

You're lagging behind with the news my friend. Everything between Cortese and the owners has been resolved. The news broke a few days ago. He isn't going anywhere.

Umm he's staying? Where do you get your news from? Was confirmed he is staying late last week.
Enjoy your time in the championship whilst we march towards European football.

Keep up, the chairman is staying.
Saintren1

^^^
Our Chairman has committed to staying with the club long term?! Keep up!

Why would Swansea want him, they have cover in depth by far better players

30 mill what a joke

Yes and swansea to spend 50mill

20 May 2013 19:05:38

20 May 2013 19:03:47
mark schwarzer is moving to hull

20 May 2013 19:01:59
a host of premier league clubs are linning up burnley hotshot charlie austin as they look to add to there strike force this summer. a. villa, sunderland, southampton, hull and wba have shown interest

Can't see him following Rodriguez to Southampton, but then again it would make it one Burnley player per season 3 in a row for us.

Don't think we are going after many more English players. Think we are looking to securing more continental players to push to Europe.

Haha comment above is a joke! Europe pfffttt! don't be silly!

"Don't think we are going after many more English players. Think we are looking to securing more continental players to push to Europe. " Hate this post, obviously we're gunna sign some foreign players, but as we're an english club I think we will sign some young English players.

Can only win so much with just english players.

remember we are a nursery club with tons of english talent, why sign english players from other clubs when we have tons of talent right under our feet?

To push forward we need a mixture of english and foreign players, which is what I meant by my original post.

I mean, why sign for instance austin when we have seager coming through the ranks?

Cause seager isn't as good as Austin and hasn't banged in 28 goals this season on the back of a 2 month injury layoff and a team that provides woeful service. Second season syndrome?

What a ridiculous comment "you can only win so much with english players" says who? I imagine you are the sort of player that thinks arsne wenger is a great manager

st stuie

20 May 2013 18:52:25
Like I said earlier willo flood is set to sign for aberdeen

20 May 2013 18:51:39
Despite winning promotion to League one Bradford City striker Nakhi Wells wants to leave. Championship clubs Birmingham City, Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Huddersfield Leeds, Reading and Yeovil Are all interested in signing him plus league one sides Brentford, Coventry City, Oldham, Preston, Sheffield United and Wolves all want him.

You forgot afc bournemouth

We won't get Wells he'll go to a better club

Nahki's going nowhere. This time next year he'll be looking forward to playing in the championship as Bradford city will get back to back promotion.

Yes please form a htfc fan

Even though after the game he said that he was going to stay, CTID!!

He is off to Bolton £600,000

Bradford fans are overly confident just cause they have nahki wells and a big lump up front. Think they will struggle especially if gary jones is still their first choice CM, he helped dale get relegated from league 1

21 May 2013 08:18:23
Too expensive a risk IMO unproven at championship level, we are better off trying to sign Vaughan and Jackson from Norwich. HTFC

Novak signed for Birmingham City

I don't fancy Wells at Bolton the money is better spent elsewhere. Wells not ready for the Championship.

Still wants to leave? Pretty sure in the interview after game he said he's staying.

Where would yeovil suddenly find £600k to sign him?

From the £4 million we just got for promotion

Wells could defo play in the Championship as they would improve his game even more than bradford can, due to the academys championship teams have and facilities.

Alan lee is just a fat mess not a chance we want him at oldham!

20 May 2013 18:35:34
Jamie Cureton, Alan Lee, Lee Novak and William Gros all targets for Oldham Athletic

20 May 2013 18:46:52
Reading to sell pogrebnyak and sign Carlton Cole. Macanuff to leave for yeovil

Im a YTFC Fan and tbh I can't see mcanuff coming to us if he does brilliant great signing but I doubt it if he goes anywhere itll be to somewhere like birmingham or a bigger team

What rubbish, Cole is average, didn't do much for West Ham last season. And McAnuff will not leave as he is expected the retain the captaincy

I will drive Jobi to Yeovil myself!

21 May 2013 16:06:58
oh god no, please don't sign carlton cole, there's so many better players, he had 25 appearances last season and scored 2 goals, POINTLESS SIGNING!! i'd love reading to sign redmond from birmingham as a replacement for mcanuff if he leaves, but he's prem bound I think, most likely norwich {Ed016's Note - Unlikley to join Norwich, Liverpool interested in him}

20 May 2013 18:44:24
Eddie Howe is already looking at Wolves, Adam Hammill as a potential replacement for Harry Arter should he leave.

Oldham midfielder Jose Baxter set to snub Preston and Tranmere and sign for Huddersfield despite late interest from Wigan.

20 May 2013 19:56:00
preston dnt want him

£1M for him Hudds?

Tranmere can't afford him

Preston couldn't afford Baxter

Preston can't afford him don't you mean! They'd love to have one of the top 5 league 1 creative midfielders playing for them. Ripped preston apart in a 3-0 win at home last year

We don't need anymore midfielders

Did not do oldham much good last season just avoided drop

Oh dear, how can you think Baxter is worth £1m? I'd say £400-600k at most

He's worth more than that, was highly thought of at Everton. Plus he scored probably a quarter of our goals.

That's funny because he's gone to birmingham

Baxter to doncaster

16 goals and umpteen assists that what he did, his goals helped keep us up and plus he battered preston on his own. lmao

Last summer nobody wanted him when he was sat at home on his sofa.

He loves it at oldham and the fans love him so he won;t go anywhere YET. Try in another season.

I have heard from a very reliable source that the very publicised offer for Luke shaw was of course rejected firmly by saints and advised they would not entertain any further offers. However this has taken a new twist when Chelsea went back with an offer of cash, returning shaw on loan for 2 seasons, the transfer (assume a loan) for lukaku and a pick of Chelsea's youth believed to be Nathan ake as Southampton choice. This is a complex deal that could take weeks if it happens at all but Chelsea are trying any means to get the man they see as a long term replacent for cole at lb.

Chelsea are not interested. We have already agreed to sign Wallace a Brazilian left back.

Sounds like a good bit of business depends on the size of the cash part though

If Chelsea want Shaw then they will get him

Theres no way saints would loan a youth player, or even nedd to to that puts this rumour to sleep unless its a loan plus cash and player deal on a permanent, I don't think people realise how good shaw is I have a season ticket and he has been skinned only twice that I can remember all season, the next time the players came near him he skinned them

st stuie

My understanding was the youth player would be perm. Not sure how you have put the rumour to bed?

20 May 2013 18:17:05
Eddie Howe wants to sign Zoumana Bakayogo to replace the departing Jon Meades however it may be hard to persuade the former Tranmere defender due to high competition from Charlie Daniels.

If Harry Arter leaves Bournemouth for Swansea, Howe wants Kenny Agustien as a swap deal plus money.

Howe is also interested in acquiring Simeon Jackson in return for Arter should the former Woking player make the move to either of these two clubs

Kemy agustein, and if he's involved in the deal there will be no money in the deal.

If he want Augustien, there must be a vacancy on the treatment table - play 3 games out for 3 months - all too predictable. If he could keep fit, he would not be on his way.

Shaun Macdonald made a joke about Arter to Swansea.

Hamza Bencherif has emerged as a transfer target for Cheltenham manager Mark Yates.

20 May 2013 18:14:14
Bolton chasing Norwich city lb mark tierney.

Has been released by Norwich (on offical site), is a decent LB, not the quickest but more than capable, I'm dissappointed we let him go.

This is now official, he will join when his contract ends at Norwich at beginning July.

20 May 2013 18:06:35
Cheltenham Town are closing in on the signing of veteran striker Alan Lee.

20 May 2013 17:43:42
bristol city are close to signing 3 polish footballers szymon pawlowski is a right winger and is seen as a replacement for adomah the other 2 players are arkadiusz wozniak from the same club as pawlowski zaglebie lubin

Hope the club have bought enough Z's for the shirts!

Blimey, it's going to be a challenge getting a song to fit their names!

Personally, I don't care if we sign players from Mars, as long as they are keen, hungry and have natural ability and a passion to improve their skills.

Being cheap would be a bonus, too!

20 May 2013 18:03:11
yeovil are slightly interested in league two duo Marlon Pack and Jacques Maghoma, with richard hinds leaving yeovil.

I don't see how any Yeovil fans think they can compete with other championship clubs for players like Pack & Maghoma, when they have barely enough money to keep Paddy Madden

We just got 4 million which is going into our playing budget.

How do we barely have enough money to keep Paddy?

How do you know yeovil got £4million which will be spent on players?

The £4 million is the TV rights money, etc, Yeovil will get now they're in the Championship.
It will definitely not all be going into the playing budget as some of it will have to be used for ground improvements.

Ground improvements have to be done within 3 years, there are no plans to make any major alteration to the ground this season

20 May 2013 17:40:03
Ipswich interested in Dutch midfielder Kevin Brands of recently relegated Willem II. Also keen on Sochaux defender Banana Yaya on a season long loan.

Wow. I REALLY hope we get Banana Yaya. I've no idea whether he's good or not; I just want to hear Brenner Woolley saying his name on the commentaries.

20 May 2013 22:21:38
Is that a joke hahah.

20 May 2013 17:41:50
With the promotion secured for Bradford they are looking to add experience in the shape of ex-Huddersfield Striker Lee Novak which would suit as he wants regular first team football and its only a short trip from the John Smiths stadium

No chance Novak is on 8k a week and that is part of the reason Hudders won't renew his contract.

Would be a good signing for Bradford - all the best Lee from a Town fan.

20 May 2013 17:36:20

Doncasters new manager is Paul Dickov *CONFIRMED*

JR scrimping again, what record has Dickov got? Lost 61 games out of 140 POOR can not see us surviving next season only managed 1 team, JR says wants someone with experience it's just a laugh with those big white teeth, a total joke. Us fans deserve better.

Good luck to him

Give him a chance and then judge. See what transfers he brings in and see where we are in January.

Agreed a 30% win rate and no championship or winning experience. I can see this going only one way

What a load of tripe. JR has overseen 4 promotions in recent times and apparently we deserve better?! Welcome Mr Dickov and good luck!

I also agree, Is this how the Doncaster board arrieved at their 18 point criteria, Past Premership manager 5pts, past championship manager 3pts, Managed no fewer than 5 clubs 5pts, won more than 1 trophey 3pts, Singed Matt Derbyshire for less than £1500 per week 18 PTS, I know where we will be come January, As does most DRFC Fans

Either the board have led supporters on in order to simply sell season tickets, or their silly messing around with "leading on comments" about top managers being interested, left them with no option but to appoint the "dead donkey"!
I agree with the comments that before a ball is kicked we look relegation bound again!
Why does this board of directors make us & this club look stupid in the championship? I would have thought they would have learnt from two seasons ago & the farce then! But no they have to do it all over again!
As a footnote, Oldham Athletic ended in 19th place in League 1. One player in Furman is enough, players in a poor side do not deserve or should be good enough for promotion to a higher league on mass!
And before someone mentions the cup run by Oldham, I'd say the league is far more important.

I hope the problem at Oldham was lack of support from the board because we have a fickle set of supporters who sit directly behind the managers bench, these are the more expensive seats in the ground. He will have to live with criticism and being told he needs to "sort it" constantly. I hope he can, because we do need a strong manager and a realistic plan. Championship is far more important to us than becoming a Premiership Yo Yo team, once up and down would be fantastic. Win by playing good football, and have a strategy to beat the bully teams.

I don't have a clue what you're attempting to get at with your random points thing but welcome Paul Dickov. Best of luck, we know you can do well. Yes the record at Oldham wasn't great, but Oldham aren't a good club!

It was a chance for the board to make a statment of how they wanted to approach the season, appoint a experienced manager who knows the league to show that we are up for it and are making a statement of intent to remain and earn a place in the league, or go cheap like they always do. They went for the second option which I suppose is fine as we don't want to end up loosing money and end up in admin, but with the teams in the championship we should have a clever manager who knows the league and how to play it, to find the players who can adapt in each game I don't think some of the current rovers team are good enough, when Saunders left there was talk of 100 manager applying for his job, and apparently this was the case for the job dickov got, which to me seems like utter rubbish, if that was the case the. Surly a top manager would have applied? Meaning the board went cheap which is wrong in my book. We don't know what went on at Oldham if dickov didn't have the support of the board then he can't be totally blamed for oldhams almost going down, but if he did have the support or they were more supportive then people know he seems to be a poor manager. League 1 was poor there were not amazing teams competing and not many teams stood out as amazing, this will be different in the championship. I can see why rovers fans are annoyed with dickov getting the job his first impression shows a manager who was out of his depth in league 1 which suggests he doesn't stand much chance in the chanpionship, first impressions count all we can do is wait to see

Poor manager won't do anything at Donny

20 May 2013 17:36:16
Craig Eastmond has left Arsenal and Signed for League 1 club Colchester United!

Heard this is going to be announced within next 48 hours as official. Great signing! Sanchez Watt also believed to be target on U's radar, but has close affinity with Leeds United so may return there after successful loan spells.

Think Watt might be a step too far for Colchester. There must be championship clubs in the hunt for him. Saying that, I would have said the same for Eastmond!

20 May 2013 17:31:42
jernade meade, released by arsenal, will sign for bournemouth

Wrong meades, person. Released by Bournemouth and signing for Oxford.

No not wrong meades. JON MEADES got released from bournemouth, JERNADE MEADES got released from arsenal.

20 May 2013 17:21:08
Blackpool are looking to sign out of contract Sylvan Ebanks-Blake to fix their striker issue.

The 27 year old ex Manchester United striker has stated he will not be staying at Wolverhampton Wanderers next season. His contract expires on the 30th June 2013

He may just change his mind when he gets Karl Oystons offer of £90 per week

Hey. that's £90 a week during the closed season.

It's £500 a week and a free trainning kit plus a signing on 'Pen' if he joins. {Ed001's Note - if he is really highly rated the pen will be a Parker that Oyston got free for registering his interest in one of those life insurance plans advertised on TV.}

For the record, we've never signed anyone on more than 500 a week for the above reasons.

If we can get him, good signing

20 May 2013 16:46:06

Pompey have today signed winger Andy Barchum on a free from Scunthorpe he previously played for Gillingham and is a product of the Tottenham youth system

20 May 2013 16:55:06
Cheltenham are interested in re-signing winger Ashley Vincent. Vincent failed to agree a new contract with Port Vale

Been told he is off to link up with John ward at Bristol rovers

Was wondering how long this rumour would take to spring up.

Very unlikely, although would fit with what CTFC need in order to strengthen.

Vincent won't be returning to Cheltenham. Bristol Rovers are in talks with him as are Rotherham and Bradford.

20 May 2013 16:42:34
New Doncaster manager' Paul Dickov will go back to Oldham and sign Yves Mvoto and Jose Baxter, along with last season Rovers loanee' Dean Furman

Baxter on 2 year deal hope donny av plenty of money

20 May 2013 19:34:19
Donny have just recieved 6 million for winning the league. They can afford 5 Jose Baxters

So? We got somthing like 6 million from mild and wellens a few years ago and didn't spend it and won't spend it this time the club have said they won't spend money it will be frees and loans they are going to use the money from making profit from running the stadium to find the first team squad so don't think we will be spending millions, or for that matter be getting sharp back which most rovers fans seem to think, why would he come back when he's for better clubs wanting him

Amaxing how Donny fans say our team are? yet you want our players now.

Baxter will cost you 2.5 million then.

Mvoto is a free but doens. t get on with Dickov and then Furman has laready jumped to you anyway.

Won;t happen as Baxter will still be here in August. dickov likes loan players anyway so he will save you money and you may get trip to portugal for team building as well, Didn;t work at oldham and nearly got us relegated then he walked.

20 May 2013 16:38:21
Ashley Vincent to York on a free transfer after failing to agree a new deal at Port Vale

Off to Bristol rovers

Reported that he's to be rotherham actually

20 May 2013 16:37:39
Ashley Vincent to Portsmouth on a free transfer after failing to agree a new contract

Portsmouth can't sign everyone.

Portsmouth can't sign anyone, what are you going on about, we have signed 10 players already in 2 weeks!

If we can't sign anyone how come we have signed 11 already!

Left Vale after they couldn't afford what he wanted. Not coming to Pompey, we have a strict wage structure. Rotherham wil get him.

Rotheram manager said he wasnt a target

20 May 2013 16:35:52
Burton boss Rowett wanting to 'build from the back' this summer and thus target Bell from Coventry and Magnus Okuonghae from Colchester and Tom Naylor from Derby.

Talks underway to bring Ian Sharps back to club permanently and winger Wes York (Nuneaton) offered trial at the Pirelli.

Your welcome to bell he is utter pants couldn't beat an egg.

I'd be extremely surprised if Okuonghae valed at £500'000 went to Burton Albion.

Bell is a Midfielder/Winger

Would like to see Burton pull out all the stops to retain Zola. Him and Kee were at times unstoppable last season, both fully fit and they are a terrific pairing!

Agree Burton should be doing everything to keep Zola and Paterson at the club to partner Kee for next season - some of the best goals scored ever at the Pirelli by these three.

Bell, would be excellent signing for left midfield/left back role. Brings Sharps back, we need a new captain now McGrath has departed.

Zola definitely departing, heard former Stoke player Mamady Sidibe wants to stay in Staffs, could be another powerhouse player for the Brewers if we get him?

20 May 2013 16:35:04
Walsall close to a 2 year deal for Plymouth keeper Jake Cole to sort ouot WFC goalkeeper problem. He rejected a new deal at Plymouth to join saddlers

20 May 2013 21:52:48
Seems a good keeper plus we need a consistent no1

I do hope so. He isn't that good. Means we can get a better keeper in.

I thought jake cole was amazing this season, pulled off some great saves. Would have been nice to see him and McCormick competing for a place.

Are your joking? he's CLASS!

He isn't class. How come he only gets signed by teams that will be battling relegation. Think it is 6 straight seasons now he has been involved in relegation battles.

Erm, I think you'll find that Walsall were pushing for the play-offs, not in a relegation battle.

Jake Cole is a good shot stopper but as for commanding his area and coming for crosses he is the worst I've seen at Argyle for many a year. How many goals did he give away fumbling crosses and punching down crosses into the middle of his area last season? A fair few I'd guess.

Cole saved us on a in a number of games!

20 May 2013 16:34:14
Hull to sign:

Shaun Maloney

West ham and Celtic have agreed fee and terms for Gary Hooper. Celtic are looking to replace him with Charlie Austin

20 May 2013 16:23:04
Leicester manager Pearson given time and money (!) to secure automatic promotion next season.

Bids going in for Nakhi Wells of Bradford and talks with free agent Alex Baptiste.

Beckford going back to Leeds and Vardy to Coventry.

Pearson counting on goals from Nugent and Wood with Schlupp and Waghorn (contract extension) back-up, Frutos off to second tier side in Spain. Main new blood in wide areas and central midfield. Guerdioura (Forest) targetted for attacking mid berth or Chalubah if Watford fail to go up.

Chalobah isn't an attacking midfielder, he's a defensive/deep lying playmaker.

Chalobah will not be playing in The Championship next season

Chalabah would be an interesting choice to complement King but the Chelsea lad is expected to be in the top flight next season with WBA rumoured to be on the prowl if Watford don't go up. Leicester's priority must be to keep hold of Andy King.

Quite right, I'm sure he won't. Nor will he be playing for Watford.

Pearson being retained? Not what I have heard. King destined for Sunderland and Wells to either Hull or Forest.

I think you wil find Chalabah will sign a long term contract with Watford for a transfer fee of around 4 million pounds, as long as they beat Palace.

You can see he's really happy at Watford, perfect place to play for a few years before making a bigger move.

King is useless, should have taken the Watford winger out and taken a card rather than run alongside him, still having nightmares about what happened.

If Chalobah signs for Watford for £4M I will make my self known and give you £1M.

Chalobah is staying at Chelsea next season and will be in and around the 1st.

Wont be going on loan or signing for anyone else. FACT.

Chalobah, fine a prospect as he is, is not YET good enough to be on the Chelsea bench. Next season he will go on loan to low/mid level Prem team. If Watfor dbeat Palace it is VERY likely he will go there, because he know Zola will give him the individual attention required to continue improving his game
His main challenge right now is to maintain his skill levels and creativity without losing possession. No midfielder in the Prem let alone Champs League can afford to lose the ball even half as much as he does currently ( and that's in the Championship, not even Prem)

21 May 2013 15:45:45
Fact? Pure conjecture on your part, look up the definition of "fact" that you choose to utilise so poorly.

20 May 2013 16:22:12
Walsall are talking with akinwenfa about a possible move. They have also nearly signed Scott wagstaff and nicky weaver. The bad news is will grigg is set to leave and join a championship club.

Grigg's not going anywhere but akinfenwa and wagstaff are as you say

20 May 2013 16:22:07
Bournemouth are to use their Russian investors to try and sign Thomas Necid to lead their charge in the Championship. The Russians have also pledged a budget of up to £3.5 million at Howe's disposal and his targets include Michael Higdon, Murray Davidson and Luke Murphy

20 May 2013 16:17:58
Burnley have had a 500,000 bid for Sam Baldock rejected by Bristol City

they want at least £1M

Hes never worth 1 million, not even that good for championship

20 May 2013 20:41:10
He is not wort a million!

He is worth 1 mill. we paid that for him and he has 3 years left on his contract. so for you to get him, you will have to stump up what we ask

To be honest he never got a chance last season I would think most teams will let him prove himself next season if he can?

We were the worst team in the league last year by some distance and he couldn't get in our side.

I would have high hopes for him in League 1, but why Championship teams would be fighting for him is beyond me.

For a million quid all you're getting is potential.

20 May 2013 16:17:20
Derby will sign Paul Caddis from Birmingham as a replacement for John Brayford should he leave as he is a versatile player which Nigel Clough likes.

Paul Caddis plays for swindon

I think you mean sign from Swindon.

20 May 2013 19:37:00
caddis hasn't signed for us blues so its swindon he's on loan

I mean to say he will sign as Birmingham can't afford the fee

20 May 2013 16:12:47
dickov to sigh dean furman mat smith and welonoski from his former club oldam

20 May 2013 16:06:55
I'm told Matt Mills has his heart set on a move to Leeds to re-unite with former boss Brian Mcdermott. Only stumbling block would be if Leeds are willing to meet Boltons valuation of the player.

20 May 2013 16:01:31
Shaun Maloney to join Norwich City as he wants to stay in the premier league. Hughton wants this addition to add back up and competition for Wes Hoolahan.

Would be a good signing for them

Maloney is much better than Hoolahan who was rubbish in the SPL for Dunfermline and Livingston

20 May 2013 16:38:39
Any one heard anything about who Sheffield Wednesday are after

Tell you what mate, you think Maloney is better that Hoolahan, we'll let you keep him. He was voted into our hall of fame by fans because of what he's done on the pitch. Quality through and through, star player this season in a team which finished 11th in the EPL.

Hoolhan may have been poor at Livingstone and Dunfermline but he was pretty young. Players such as Wes use their experience to enhance their game. Maloney would keep Wes playing at the top of his game and to have both would be incredible.

Maloney is good but I'm not sure he's better than Hoolahan. He's got a few more goals in him I guess. I think Hoolahan is better on the ball though!

Maloney is a lot sharper than Hoolahan, he was Wigan's best player when they played at Carrow Road. Both quite old though. {Ed016's Note - Maloney is not interested in a move to Norwich, he wants to move to an established club rather than one battling to stay in the division}

20 May 2013 16:01:18
Pulis and Coates are set to hold talks regarding their future at Stoke. It is expected that both Peter Coates and Pulis will stand down with club ownership being handed over to the co-owners of 365; Peter Coates' daughter and son-in-law with a new manager coming in with an ambition of progression, possibly Rafa.
Both of these moves will only happen if the right manager is available and can be lured to Stoke. The cards do look well placed for this move to happen.
If the right man isn't available for the manager's job both Peter Coates and Tony Pulis will stay put for another season. In other words it will be a complete change or no change at all.

You are aiming far too high if you think we could get Rafa, no chance (from a stoke fan) and too much change at once will be a disaster, you can't change the chairman and the manager at the same time because the new manager wouldn't know where to stand. If a new manager is needed, he would need reassurance of who's the boss. Plus we don't want a new boss, Tony can change believe, we will be back to our strong self from 2 years ago with some new signings. All's we lack is width, that's why we've had bad results and performances this season. In Pulis we trust

Aren't Coate's daughter and son-in-law already involved in the club, so not much of a change really. Tony always refers to the owners as The Coates Family, only very rarely (especially recently) has he referred to the owner as Peter alone. This could hint towards a shift. Plus, Peter and Tony are very close, it may appear better for the club if they produce a 'new look' leadership team?
Stoke could get Raffa; he's eager to stay in the Prem and has already been to Clayton Wood a few times so the contacts are there, plus Bet365 is a massive company, Pulis was/is on a shed load of money (inc bonuses) so Raffa is within our sights.
Furthermore, 5 years in the Prem £80m+ spent and still the same 'style' of football. Pulis either can't or won't change. More and more fans are demanding entertainment for their hard earned money. Pulis' football is dire to watch.

20 May 2013 15:57:15
Alex Baptiste will apparently be Steve Bruce's first signing on a free from Blackpool when his contract expires

20 May 2013 15:48:36
Swindon ins:

Nathan Byrne-Tottenham (free)
Richard wood ex Coventry (free)
Jernade meade ex Arsenal (free)
Scott Wagstaff ex Charlton (free)
John Bostock out of contract at spurs (free)
Adam Rooney ex Birmingham (free)
Lee novak Huddersfield (free)

20 May 2013 16:35:24
lee novak you have no chance going preston or barnsley

There'd have to be some significant outs to make those credible ins. The club have announced 5 redundancies needed from the non playing staff today.

I agree with the earlier post I am a Swindon fan we have no chance getting some of the players mentioned above so stop making up things in your own head. Why on earth would they come here some of them would command big salaries of which we are cutting back.

Yes the outs are going to be Flint, Caddis, benson, Cox & Possibly Archibald-henville.

Swindon have activated the 1 year extension on flints contract last week so is he going to be sold? Also is that allowed?

Yes they can do that, they should of done that with ferry, then we would of got some money for him at least claw back what we paid for him, I believe they will only let flint go if they get over £500,000, to be honest his distribution is shocking and he panics on the ball, the main strength is his heading power that's it, his discipline is bad also. If we could get over £500,000 I would let him go as long as we use the money on players and not in the boards pockets.

Swindon are after Matt Tubbs (Boremuff), Ryan Mason (Spurs), Andy Johnson (QPR), Shwan Jalal (Boremuff).

Foderingham to leave in the next few weeks for a fee of well over £1 million to QPR, Mccormack to leave on a free after asking for a shed load of money, Flint to leave for £250k+ with several clubs interested.

Alan McCormack will be signing for Millwall shortly!.

Good let him go!

20 May 2013 15:44:47
James Vaughn is in Talks with Charlton

The Striker Impressed during his spell at Huddersfield this season and is looking for a move to a championship squad. Although Huddersfield are also tracking him it is believed Vaughn would be keen on a move to London

20 May 2013 16:23:58
How is he in talks with Charlton when he's on holiday then on stag do get your info right Charlton no chance

He want's to be near Liverpool!

Don't know who makes this stuff up. "It is believed" who by the fairies at the bottom of your garden!

He will go to the club that pay the most! If the bids are all in the same ball park. He will go to a northern location.

As above, lives in Liverpool, this was a big draw for him to come to Huddersfield so when he gets back from his jollies, we will see who he talks to.

Vaughan left for Miami yesterday on his stag do, then he's getting married and going to Vegas on his honeymoon, nothing will be sorted with him for at least another 2 or 3 weeks

He has a football school in liverpool all his family lives there. he like town because they let him live there.

Plenty more fish in the sea. Gutted if he doesn't come all the same.

20 May 2013 15:27:49
Nigel Worthington is keen to bring Jonathan Greening and Richard Cresswell back to York.

I also heard this, signing on Friday in fact

20 May 2013 15:26:16
Southampton looking at Italian players Giacomo Bonaventura (Atalanta) and Luca Antonelli (Genoa).

Not sure about this. I only see these coming in as replacements for Schneiderlin and Shaw if they are sold which looks increasingly unlikely now this summer.
I think we will make 4 signings this summer and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they all came from la liga.

Would love to take both of them. Antonelli would be great to replace Fox and could also be a good overlap player with Shaw on the left wing. While Bonaventura is a great player around the midfield and would just be a superb addition to what we already have probably bursting straight into the first 11.

20 May 2013 15:17:32
Former Barnsley captain Stephen Foster is reportedly on the verge of signing for League One side Tranmere Rovers.

Is he any good?

Good for league one

I'm a Barnsley fan and am gutted he's gone, would've gave him another year. Knocking on a bit but you've got a decent player there.

I hope he does well for you his legs had gone at this level but has been a true professional and will give you an abundance of experience. We salute you fozzy

Foster is a strong reliable player in my opinion they've got a good player that will make their defence hard to get past.

A true proffessional. he'll enhance any league one defence. good luck fozzie

I was suprised that Foster got released, but you have yourselves a really good defender there.

I am also a Barnsley fan I also would let Foster stay but I would have let Jimmy McNulty go

Old / slow right to let go

20 May 2013 15:16:09
Fulham likely to be working early with signings this year after the late catastrophe of last season.

Venezuelan central defender Fernando Amorebieta is close to joining. Could be announced next week. Good news after clinching permanent deal for Sascha Riether.

Bakary Sako from Wolves is heavily linked which would allow Kerim Frei to go out on loan. It's a move that would provide healthy competition with Alex Kacaniklic.

Many likely to leave: Mladen Petric, Simon Davies, Giorgos Karagounis and Chris Baird.

Fulham are also looking at sending their better u21 players out on loan, with Yeovil expected to keep Dan Burn for another year. Marcello Trotta, Lasse Vigen Christensen and Jack Grimmer all likely to find first team football in the lower leagues or abroad.

They will be signing lots of youth

I'm hoping that we will give some of our U18s and youth a go particularly since we have won the U18 premier league again

Sako is gooooooooood. but we relied on him too much at Wolves last season.

20 May 2013 15:14:53
Ipswich summer targets in no specific order,

Tabb from reading- free
Murphy from Celtic-free
Forrester from brentford-free
Kisnorbo from Leeds -free
Hunt from wolves -free
Mcgoldrick from notts Forrest - deal done

Gerken from bristol city-free
Tomlin from posh - fee involved
Zakuani from posh - free
Wells from Bradford - fee involved
Mahogma from burton-fee involved
Adoma from bristol city -fee involved

All players have been watched in last month of season, I know they won't get all targets but thers a list of players been scouted already

Maghoma is out of contract and has already done a deal with #boro

Most of them for free are we that skint that we can't buy decent players like the good old days

Zakuani isn't on a free, he still has 1 year left on his contract

Why pay for decent players when you can get good players for free?

And where is all the money for wages going to come from?

20 May 2013 15:09:19
Darren Ferguson - Readies himself for Wigan job!

Look what happened last time he left Posh for another club, he single handedly ruined Preston

20 May 2013 17:41:30
he could nt manage in the championship
no chance at wigan

20 May 2013 15:00:54
Christophe Berra to join Rangers on a free transfer from Wolves

Not according to Berra. He said its not the right time to move back to scotland

Poor deluded Berra, he believes he is good enough to play in the premier league.

20 May 2013 14:58:39
Andrew Barcham and Paul Benson to sign for Bradford following promotion to league 1

Barcham signed for Portsmouth this morning.

Barcham has signed for pompey

Andy Barcham just signed for Portsmouth on a 3 yr contract

20 May 2013 18:02:49
Benson is joining Oxford.

Benson is rubbish - league 2 player at besrt

20 May 2013 14:52:25
Anthony Grant of Stevenage is set to have talks with Colchester as he has been told his time at the boro is up, he was having a look around the facilities at Florence Park today. Strong source within CUFC

20 May 2013 14:50:48
Tommy Rowe - West Ham looking to sign attacking Left back, at his age (24) great football league experianced (250ish games inc 3 full seasons in Championship) and at around £1.5m worth the risk stepping up to Premiership. Also likely to be cheap wages-wise earning around £3k a week at Peterborough last season. Captain at Posh, they are looking to cash in on a player in the last year of his contract.

No doubt in my mind that he has the necessary ability to cut it in the Prem. Sad to see him go as he scores some cracking goals too. But it's club policy to transfer players in their last year if they refuse to sign a new contract.

Truly believe that Rowe will leave Posh for the Championship but he isn't a prem player by a long shot

Tommy Rowe to sign a new deal at posh end of the week. from the horses mouth. if you know what I mean.

Your horse is clearly talking out of its arse, Rowe has already said if he stays he will run his contract down so his options are open if Posh do/dont return to the Championship

20 May 2013 14:49:12
Sako of Wolves going to Fulham

20 May 2013 14:40:57
Bristol City have targeted PFA league One keeper of the year Wes Foderingham from league one rivals Swindon Town.

City won't pay the £2 mill wanted by Swindon for Foderingham, no chance of that move happening, if he leaves its likely to be to a Championship club.

20 May 2013 14:39:23
SPL Kilmarnock set sign Leon McSweeney

20 May 2013 14:36:29
Oldham manager Lee Johnson has confirmed the club are 90% there towards signing another player and expects a deal to be done before Friday. Johnson has already signed Jonson Clarke-Harris for an undisclosed fee from Peterborough and this morning confirmed that James Dayton would be joining the boundary park outfit. The incoming Player is expected to be William Gros, also of Kilmarnock.

Hope not. he's a non striking striker.

20 May 2013 14:32:16
Cheltenham are in talks with former Shrewsbury midfielder Matt Richards.

Would be a decent acquistion for them if true. Play him in centre midfield though, not like the Shrews who had him on the wing half the time!

Shrewsbury had him on the wing because he was poor in the middle and undroppable as captain

Hope this is true!

Matt richards was a great player for Shrewsbuy and I was very disappointed to see him leave.

20 May 2013 14:27:50
Ipswich are in the hunt for wingers with Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on the transfer list and Lee Martin leaving on a free. Town are thought to be looking at Kevin Brands from recently relegated Willem II, having had scouts spotted at their last two home games.

20 May 2013 14:26:39
West Brom have agreed a deal with Anderlecht for striker Mbokani. 4/5 million plus add on's.

20 May 2013 15:45:55
Fee has been agreed but player also talking to Kiev

He wants to play in premierleague though and due to financial premier league package I think we will be able to swing the move in our favour, great signing if it comes off

20 May 2013 14:16:51
Huddersfield could bring in as many as 10 players this pre-season, with a further 5 expected to leave. Mark Robins wants to sign a goalkeeper, two centre backs, two wingers, a central midfielder and four strikers

Wishful thinking. No chance and we don't need that many.

I can see the 5 out bit being true, but that's not exactly hard to work out. Would be very very surprised if we brought in more than 3 players (senior pros}. Any more than that would go against Deans youth policy.

20 May 2013 14:13:06
West Brom to rival Aston Villa for Charlie Austin.

Definately no West Brom interest. They are looking abroad at strikers

Not for wba

20 May 2013 14:06:17
Doncaster Rovers are set to announce the appointment of West Brom assistant manager Kevin Keen as their new boss. Keen apparently impressed in an interview last week and will sign a two year deal.

20 May 2013 16:14:45
it is paul dickov

Wrong! its paul dickov

DICKOV is a nice guy but DONNY your in trouble as he can;t change games andyou will see that when you play the teams that are used to the Championship. PD can talk the talk so that's how he got the job no experience and took us to 19th in league one.

Only one for you and that's DOWN NOW.

POOR DECISION. lol

Dickov now appinted manager let's see what happens i'll support and back him even if there I negative comments even though he's had the job nearly a few hours now

Haha erm don't think so

20 May 2013 14:05:06
Sunderland are close to signing the following players:

Roberge CB - free
Diakite CB - free
Zarate LW - Free
Viana RW - free
El Hadji Ba CM - free

Rose LB - 9mil
De Sciglio RB - 8mil
Giovinco ST - 10mil
El Shaarawy CAM - 15mil

El Shaarawy - unlikely, he has been revelation for milan this season and I doubt they would sell him especially for £15 million and he wouldn't leave milan for sunderland

El shaarawy? Ha ha ha sorry I supported sunderland for over 40 years and I've never heard anything so silly in all of my life why would he (an ac milan regular in champions league) come to sunderland far too good for this club the others mentioned yes

20 May 2013 16:18:22
Sunderland doing a QPR, championship for you guys next season.
Di Canio looking at filling the club with over priced mercs.

20 May 2013 13:59:36
Stoke are set to Sell Asmir Begovic this summer. Barcelona, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have also shown interested in the £15 million Bosnian Keeper

He won't go to Liverpool (not yet at least). Begovic has stated that his ambitions are Champions League, Liverpool have got a LONG way to go to break into the top 4.

20 May 2013 13:57:30
Jones will leave Stoke, with Cardiff and Swansea interested in the £5 million rated striker

The Swansea link is an old rumour from the January window. Graham was sold, several loan moves fell through. There is no way that Swans will pay the kind of money that is being quoted for Jones

Certainly won't be here next season. I quite like him and he suits our system very well. Unfairly treated imo, but I can't see us getting £5m. I'd be very happy with half of what we paid for him.

Bluebirds are welcome to him.
If he ends up being a Jack, I don't think many of us would be happy with that UNLESS he gets his running boots on and does some proper work. Looks like he can't be bothered half the time!

20 may 2013 18:54:11
swansea don't want him

If Stoke fans think he isn't bothered then trust me Malky won't be after Jones because he only wants players that will work throughout the game and for the team (Cardiff City fan)

21 May 2013 08:58:51
Baring in mind Kenwyn jones on his day is a very very good player and malky is known for making people work hard just look at whittingham he was lazy and now he tracks back I think with the right coaching and right players around him Kenwyn could be an amazing signing for cardiff have trust in malky he's done everything right so far!

Jones going to cardiff some part of m4 shut

20 May 2013 13:56:57
Etherington has been told to find himself a new club as Stoke will look more towards Youth Next season

20 May 2013 13:56:28
Tony Pulis will leave Stoke this summer, with his team underperforming this season. Stoke will look to Either Bring in Roberto martinez, Gus Poyet or Martin O'Neil

It will be poyet. Brighton fan

Hopefully Poyet Stoke need someone to kick us in to gear

God help them if they get O'Neil!

No chance. Pulis will still be here, probably for a long time! I'd like to see him step down but it won't happen. Poyet or Martinez are too polar opposite of Pulis, and O'niell or Di Matteo are sideways steps.

20 May 2013 13:55:26
Martinez coming to Toffees and making Arouna Kone first signing and taking N'Zogbia from Villa, played brillantly under him last season at Wigan and wants to be re-untied with former boss.

You can have Martinez drive him there myself, took us 2 seasons under him to win back to back games, clueless at defending, oh and he took us down : (

Arouna kone is going to Cardiff

20 May 2013 13:54:32
Glenn Whelan is set to leave Stoke after being transfer listed after his pig head antics. Stoke will look to sell the Ireland Midfielder for £3 million

It wasn't even him. KJ got it wrong!

20 May 2013 13:52:27
Sheffield United are in talks with Colchester United about the possibility of their manager Joe Dunne becoming the new boss at Bramell Lane.

Never going to happen!

It would take a lot to get Dunne to move from Colchester, this has been his home for almost 20 years.

20 May 2013 16:19:22
I hope it doesn't happen either.

20 May 2013 13:48:32
Out of contract David Mooney in talks with Brentford about a move from Leyton Orient.

Nah doubt it, Mooney is just starting to enjoy his football at the O's and won't move unless he's offered a much more lucrative contract.

Brentford were interested in signing Mooney earlier. Now he is out of contract, It will be easier for them to agree terms. This is also a good move for the player, as his chances of first team action at Orient will be limited next season.

Will never happen, Brentford will be looking at better options than Mooney, plus he is already a firm fans favourite down at the O's

Firm favourite down at the O's?
Certainly not with me.
Needs 25 chances to score one goal!

David mooney is good enough to play for that big club brentford but i'm sure his happy where he is at the os.

Moons tries hard and did start bangin' 'em in. Took a while mind.

Jaboooooo to return to the O's?

Yep Agree. perhapes I was a little harsh, and hope the lad does well.

Not a favourite of mine. Terrible player. I'd happily drive him to Griffin Park.

Jabooooooo, please not.
There will be some O's supporters still wanting him back in ten years time!
Its time to move on. We need a goalscorer to partner Lisbie.

20 May 2013 13:47:33
Nathan Ellington is in discussions with Blackpool.

I am praying this isn't true!

20 May 2013 13:46:53
Ricardo Fuller has said he would welcome the opportunity to return to Pne and wages would not be an issue, its thought a pay as you play deal has been offered.

Won't cost Preston a lot in wages then, can't see Fatty Fuller getting many games.

20 May 2013 13:40:07
Out of contract Cheltenham Midfielder Marlon Pack is set to snub Rotherham United in favour of Yorkshire rivals Bradford City

20 May 2013 16:26:01
He is on the verge of completing a move to Bournemouth for £175,000 plus add ons.

They can have him, he thinks he's etter than he is and better than any other player at the club. We only play players who work hard in training. Ask Nardiello.
Also we are looking for a left Winger, not another CM, we have enough already.

~deMiller

Kayode Odejayi set to choose between former team Colchester or Exeter City, Nahki Wells will join championship side Bolton with Kevin Davies going the other way as a free agent. Gillingham set to make offer for Tom Pope.

Pope to gillingham, I don't think so.

Pope is poor, got lucky this season, won't score anything like that next season or ever again.
He will stomp on your head though.

CTFC will not get £175,000 for Pack - they will receive a nominal fee due to his age but nowhere near that amount. Not convinced it will be Bradford or Rotherham.

Pack is in talks with Bournemouth and Derby.
A very good player and Bradford would be very lucky to land him.

DeMiller, you cannot be serious unless you are really that clueless. Pack is as hard-working and dedicated as they come, a very good guy all round and certainly doesn't think he's bigger or better than anyone at the club. Don't invent facts that are not true.

20 May 2013 12:28:41

Oxford united set to sign akinfenwa from northampton on a free and rene howe also free jake wright has interest in him from ipswich town.

Walder said he wanted a target man and a goal poacher howe and akinfenwa are both target men, so why would walder get both

Oxford been turned down by a number of players in last few days don't expect anything happening soon its acase of tear up wanted list and start again just like the kassam pitch.

We won't be signing 2 big strong target men!
we've already said, we're after one target man and one quick goal poacher

However if we did sign these two I wouldn't moan. Akinfenwa, Howe and Constable up top would be a force to be reckoned with!

The third post is already wrong, OUFC have made a signing!
Akinfenwa won't be signing for anyone soon. He flew out on hols today

20 May 2013 11:48:31

So is it a "Done" deal then

20 May 2013 13:25:35
derby are on the verge of capturing james vaughan, he's told close friends he's weighing derby up, over htfc

He is currently going to Vegas for a stag do. He put in local press that he won't rule out anything including derby, but won't even decide til back off hols. Deal not done!

Nobody will know who he is going to sign for until the deal is done.

Derby are not ahead.
Huddersfield are not ahead.

Just to clear up, he went on holiday a couple of weeks back. He is now going on holiday again in a weeks time.

Therefore a deal could be expected this week and if not maybe in a few weeks time.

It is obvious both clubs have matched Norwich's transfer fee demand and are talking to the player. However Derby will want a yes or no answer soon so they can either move onto other targets or secure the deal.

Huddersfield less certain, they really really want Vaughan and the chairman has said fans should be patient, so they may be willing to give the player more time to make a decision.

20 May 2013 17:44:22
Heard this as well.

20 May 2013 13:11:31
Burnley to sign Nakhi Wells, Gonzalo Reyes Jara and Sam Baldock. you heard it hear first! Also expect Dyche to sign a keeper as backup to Heaton as Liversedge has been brought in as 3rd choice. Targets include Bobby Olejnik, Joe Lewis and Ben Amos. UTC!

Loic Remy to Everton for 6 million.

20 May 2013 13:27:46
With Doyle & Ravenhill expected to leave Bradford City Phil Parkinson will need to strengthen in midfield.

He may look at previous targets such as out of contract Jason Kennedy at Rochdale & transfer listed Anthony Grant at Stevenage. Another option is to tempt James Berret back to West Yorkshire from Carlisle Utd.

Berret contract is not up he would cost money around £300 thousand

20 May 2013 13:00:34
Peter Halmosi is coming home to Plymouth Argyle! Replacing the outgoing Baz who is joining Wigan.

Free transfer will play left back or left mid, Akos will also train with the club in regain fitness as he still owns a house here.

Akos won't as he said he wouldn't join us as we're in League 2

It says train not sign.

Train at the club

20 May 2013 12:58:20
Charlton looking to loan udinese's Miguel Medina for the season as udinese feel english football will benefit him, watford obviously are also in contention for him but If they acheive promotion will attempt to loan proven talent rather than youngsters, so he Medina may opt for Charlton If watford gain promotion

Oh so after a season of criticism suddenly everyone wants to borrow Udinese players then

If Watford get promoted they'll have to sign at least 8 of their 10 loanees permanently if they don't want to lose them, or they'll face a penalty for breaking transfer rules

How many times do you have to be told, Watford have not broken any transfer rules, nor have they exploited a loophole. International loans count as full transfers which ANY club should have been aware of.

What transfer rules will they have broken then?

We already have the penalty for the transfer issue. Makes no difference at all if we sign this years loans or not. We are under a transfer embargo till the end of the window but can sign players as long as we tell the Football League or Premier League what we're doing.

I think they mean that in the prem teams can't get away with 13 foreign loans as the rules on transfers are different

I'm pretty certain Mr Pozzo would rather send Watford a player on loan over Charlton, or just call me crazy.

Keep your hands off our Udinese players charlton, this is complete rubbish they hardly have any players left to loan, especially to Charlton

20 May 2013 13:08:32
Anyone know where Grant Holt is going? Seems very clear he has played his last game for Norwich

Was telling that his two best games of the season came at the end when Hughton finally let his team attack

20 May 2013 14:29:40
Why is it clear that he is leaving. He has done 2-3 interviews recently and in all he said he isn't going anywhere. Hughton has also said that he will not be sold. I see him and RVW forming a strong partnership next season as their styles should complement each other well.

RvW is a lone striker who runs at pace off the last man; Holt will come on after 80mins to tire defences. Everyone is so against 1 upfront but it has been mightily affective, winning against Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal and going on 10 game unbeaten run. Expect Creative midfielders and wingers.

I've heard that Holt may be involved in a swap deal to tempt Hooper away from Celtic.

20 May 2013 12:48:38
Huddersfield Town are set to transfer list Anton Robinson, Kallum Higginbotham, Jimmy Spencer and Joel Lynch

Getting boring now!

Robinson is injured till at least Christmas.

Robinson is out till at least the new year following knee surgery.

This wouldn't suprise me
although off loading anton robinson might be difficult as he just had a serious injury and is still recovering

You basically blew your story, until mentioning Robinson it looked good and plausible but sadly Robo is going nowhere except the physio room for a few months.

Doesn't mean you can't transfer list him though does it?

Kallum Higginbotham is staying at huddersfield town and to be honest I think he has potential. look on htfc website.

Ainsworth is manager at Wycombe and has hung up his boots. Dear oh dear

20 May 2013 15:47:50
ha ha ainsworth would still be better than pompey have in there team now shame he retired and is manager of Wycombe at least try make your post real

Andy Barcham ex Scunthorpe the new left wing

Lionel ainsworth sorry

20 May 2013 11:50:50
Rotherham have offered a contract to Sanchez watt who is soon to be released by arsenal

Strange how yesterday you were taking him on loan and when I pointed out he was being released by Arsenal you are now offering him a contract. You are talking crap!

20 May 2013 11:46:37
Portsmouth are closing in on a double signing this week with released Carlisle defender Peter Murphy and released Birmingham midfielder Keith Fahey with Guy Whittingham looking to shore up his squad

Omg as if fahey will drop down to the bottom division, you really think pompey can afford 20k per week?

Murphy is about to sign for killmarnock so he can continue living in his brand new house and carlisle

20 May 2013 21:21:20
fahey have a laugh he is class i'm a pompey fan and would love to see that but no chance haha

20 May 2013 11:35:42
Alan Lee (ex Huddersfield) about to agree terms to join Accrington at The Crown for next season - Fleetwood are also looking for him and Jon 'The Beast' Parkin for a Battering ram style attack next year - Beware Defenders though it won't be for many games as one or the other will probably be suspended lol.

Battering ram style attack doesn't always mean goals, Jon Parkin is shocking, Alan Lee is shocking too, but I still love him!

Fleetwood play good football on the floor!

Parkin would have a job scoring an own goal let alone one at the right end of the park. Still a few goals left in Alan Lee though. didn't score that many for us this season, but some of the ones he did score were crucial and without them we would have been down.

20 May 2013 11:30:00
Michael Higdon - Scotland Player of the Year. Top goalscorer in SPL is high on Mark Robins list of strikers to partner James Vaughan, as is Danny Haynes though. let's get them both! Sign them early and it gives better Partnership bonding time before new season.

Lee Gritthis won player of the year in Scotland a Scot, not Englishman Higdon. Get your facts straight please in future.

20 May 2013 11:16:36
Rumours circulating from within West Ham that Beckham is to join the coaching staff. Carroll is expected to sign for West Ham. Maloney, Rat, Solly and a GK expected to join this summer! COYI

20 May 2013 11:10:42
Chesterfield transfer listed captain Sam Hird in talks with Derby County over a potential £500,000 move.

We don't have that money to spend on a player who is not proven

Doubt it he ain't worth that! His form is hit and miss! Not championship level at all

! He's transfer listed because he's not good enough. It will be on a free transfer to get him off the wage bill not to get funds in.

20 May 2013 20:11:05
Most ridiculous post ever. Hird to anyone on a free would be a master stroke for Chesterfield as he has been a enormous Failure signed by no other than John Sheridan

I think hird will go up to league one / champ. ill be pleased to see him go, he was a good play, but too inconsistent. we'll also get a decent fee for him. he's valued at 250k any team above us after him knows were desperate to get rid and will offer 180k - 200k and we'll take it (i think)

Look CFC just want Hird off the books so anyone offering to take his year contract over from CFC will sign him assuming he wants to go to the club concerned. No fee will be involved. It's hard to move him on anyway on a good salary and having had a shocker of a season.

No one will pay money for him, it will be a taken over his contract scenario. Even with Cfc making a contribution towards his wages.

Rotherham are in talks with Jon Taylor of Shrewsbury

JT will not sign for Rotherham - if he does leave Shrews it'll be to a Championship club!

Hope not, he's another Ainsworth.

That's not exactly a career progression is it? No disrespect to Rotherham who are a decent & well supported club but Taylor will want championship level football.

Ainsworth is a class player so is Taylor. Niether want to be managed by Evans

Evans is a good manager to be honest. Some players don't like his style understandably but look at nardiello, he's last and Evans has been on his back and dropped him when he has been last and his goal to game ratio has improved massivly.

Nahki Wells to Burnley and Danny Ings to Bradford as part of the deal.

Ings is going back to Bournemouth according to reports down south

Wells to Burnley maybe but Ings won't be part of any deal, very important player for us if and when Charlie leaves.

As if Danny Ings should be put upfront with Sam and allowed to show his talent!

Clayton Donaldson to finally sign for his hometown club Bradford city

Bournemouth might aswell be Burnley reverse team all of burnleys players being linked there ings will be staying

The general view at Bournemouth is we don't want Ings back thank you. that's one player Burnley can keep. He certainly was never worth £1 million we sold him for.

^ have you ever seen Ings play? He's a quality player just a shame he got injured when he arrived!

Never going to happen and would be bad business for Burnley and Bradford. Inge is an important and promising player for Burnley as is Wells for Bradford. No need to switch

Like we are going to get rid of ings he is a player with huge potential and great quality

Connelly won't join cost to much it is tom Clarke released by huddersfield

20 May 2013 14:05:45
just been told he is keen to join preston just a few things to tie up in scotland

Martin woods released from doncaster I believe we tried to sign him before is he any good

Connolly is a free agent and Leeds have enquired about Humphrey. If they follow up their interest can't see Preston getting him

Darren Ferguson tried to sign Woods.
Although he seemed to be a good player I'm glad it didn't happen. lad it didn't happen, apparently he's had a good few injuries in the last 4 year.
I've heard they've released their goalie, also named Woods. Maybe SG could be interester if nothing happens with Ruddy.

20 May 2013 10:07:31
leeds close to signing Nahki Wells from Bradford and Gareth McCleary from Reading

McCleary is playing in the starting XI under Adkins. Why would he move back to a manager who had him on the bench every game?

You won't be getting mcleary!

Mccleary Ha! You wish. Reading are keeping more less the whole team and mccleary is in the starting 11 so no need to make up false rumours.

He's scheduled for a medical today.

Plymouth Argyle Targets:
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake - released by Wolves
Mark Molesley - released by Exeter.
Tony Capaldi - released by Oxford.
Darren Purse - released by Port Vale.
Guy Madjo - released by Macclesfield.
Rory Fallon - released by Aberdeen.
Paul Connolly - released by Leeds.
Paul Bignot - released by Blackpool.
Dean Parrett - released by Tottenham.
Conor Clifford - released by Leicester.
Matt Doumbe - released by MK Dons.
Barry Hayles - free agent.
Akos Buzsaky - free agent.

Most of those players listed will command "far higher " wages than Argyles budgets. Just won't happen!

SEB did not want to drop into leagues 1 with Wolves so why would he drop into league 2?

20 May 2013 12:54:37
There has been claims that Connolly won't come Preston due to wages so he defiantly won't be going Plymouth. Same with SEB.

I think you may have missed a couple off that list

Mickey Evans - Free agent
Tommy Tynan - Free Agent
Carl Fletcher - Free Agent
Hasney Aljofree - Free Agent

This is just a list of former Argyle players who are out of contract. No reason to suspect any of them are a target.

20 May 2013 13:53:44
Barry Hayles is still playing?!

Funny that people can't see this is a wind up post. They're all former players and Argyle fans have a habit of linking us with former players, (mostly players we have no chance of getting as shown above).

That's a list of ex argyle players releases, why would we want Hayles who's nearly 41 and recently playing for truro

Why is it Argyle only get linked with Ex Argyle players or loanees.
Connolly, Buzsaky, Ebanks-Blake will cost to much in wages and won't play in league 2, realistically Doumbe and Clifford are the only decent ones

It's very quiet on the PAFC front at the moment and its a bit of a worry. Are we signing anyone?

Will Baz and Conor resign?

Can't see Conor going to Yeovil now there in Championship, needs couple more years first.

Please JS some kind of announcement that someone is coming South West

Conors signed 2year deal

20 May 2013 09:30:04

20 May 2013 16:13:35

20 May 2013 17:32:10
He flew into Plymouth International this morning for talks with Shez!

20 May 2013 20:11:23
good signing

Is the airport not closed?

Last time I checked, Plymouth Airport was shut down for good.

You two seem pretty certain he flew here today. Why?

He couldn't had flown into plymouth international airport as it closed at the end of 2011! So poor rumour!

Flew in to Plymouth today! Where did he land? The Promenade?

Funny that since Plymouth doesn't have an airport!

20 May 2013 22:50:54
Funny, swear Plymouth airport is closed lol {Ed003's Note - ok the airport is closed}

21 May 2013 18:38:59

20 May 2013 08:59:28
Middlesbrough in the race to sign Cris solly, Titus bramble, Cris brunt and Javier acuna!

Solly would be good, we need to sort out defence

Solly please and tit dny want other two

Acuna would be great addition currently sitting second in Spanish lge 2, but he could play in bbva against barca and real so why come to Boro?

How can you not want chris brunt? I can't see us landing him but he'd be a great siginign. mogga has already stated he has no idea who acuna is btw

Chris brunt along side grant leadbitter in the centre of the park would be fantastic, also with caryiol on the left, with fast right winger signed, we need a right winger badly, last decent winger we've had was geremi on loan.

Middlesbrough sign jacques maghoma on 3 year deal and yakubu has recently been in touch with Gibson whilst on holiday in Portugal

Acuna has been released by real madrid, and has been on loan at several clubs, real don't want him, boro need him.

20 May 2013 08:47:58
YTFC to sign Dolan.

20 May 2013 08:03:50
Unamed right back released by a championship club set to have a medical at Preston today.
Chris Humphreys from Motherwell deal is closer and set to sign later this week.

Please God let it not be Rob Edwards from Barmsley

20 May 2013 13:25:37
Chris Humphrey great pace, will rip League one Defenders to pieces. I'm sure some bigger clubs might be interested in him too!

Chris Humphrey was offered a pre contract by PNE over a week ago.

That was before Leeds, Wolves, Burnley, Huddersfield and a host of other clubs came in for him.

Think he may just be waiting untill all the clubs come calling before joining the best placed club offering him a decent wage and contract.

Looks like we won't get Humphrey if that lot are after him.

There will probably be a few championship teams willing to give him a contract too.

20 May 2013 07:10:58
Darren bent could sign as a large signing on fee will cover his wage being reduced to 45k. I spoke to david McNally and he hinted if we don't start we'll next season the Hughton will be replaced.

20 May 2013 04:04:25
They're are unconfirmed reports that Michael Appleton will be the new manager of Doncaster Rovers

4th time lucky lol

20 May 2013 10:36:37
appy will do ok at Donny

20 May 2013 03:05:44
Jamie ness formerly of rangers. now of stoke to go on a 2 year loan to charlton! very good prospect

2 year loan?
If he is to leave, he won't go out for that length of time on loan or stoke will look to sell

A set 2 year loan deal sounds a bit odd? Can't see either club, or the player, wanting to committ to a 2 year deal.

20 May 2013 02:56:52
Old faces a thing for charlton next season as 2 of a likely 8 are defo moving back to the valley

Nicky bailey
lloyd sam
darren bent (loan)
luke young if solly is sold
Darren randolph
jerome thomas
jose semedo
jay bothroyd

Darren randolph signed for birmingham last week on 2 year deal.

20 May 2013 10:25:33
darren randolph has already signed for Birmingham

Randolph has just signed for Birmingham, and there's no way Bent will return so rule that out.

Randolph has already signed for Birmingham.

Lloyd Sam is Still in the US playing for New York RedBulls.

I can't see Darren Bent coming back, there will be Prem teams that would surely want him!

The others would be average squad players, Although Jerome Thomas coming back I would like alot

Randolph has just signed for us (Birmingham) so I highly doubt that

Best post ever.
Randolph signed for Birmingham last week
Why would powell sign semedo after not offering him a league 1 contract

If we could get all those, wow what a team we'd be. probably go without semedo, bothroyd and hamer and button are both better than randolph anyway so birmingham can have him

Would love Bent back at the valley as he would be the difference between mid table and play-off or better for us. However there will be a number of prem sides lining up with a better chance of getting him and his wages would be too much for us. Wouldn't want any of the others. Solly will stay with us so no need for Young. Thomas was never consistent for us and the others have not performed well enough to warrant bringing back.

Bents on 70 plus grand a week,

how can we pay that, even 20% we would find it hard.

thomas is on prem money too.

other players he just said are not good another other than bothroyd.

even he is on a lot of money. loan maybe

Thomas has been realeased

20 May 2013 01:19:06

20 May 2013 00:57:17
yeovil town are set to take bristol city pair neil kilkenny and liam fontaine from them. fontaine wants to work with gary johnson again and kilkenny sees this as a move back up to the championship. 500k for both is the rumoured deal

I'll drive them there for free

Yeovil won't spend that much on those 2 players

Please let this be true!

Yeovil won't spend that on their entire team in the next 20 years let alone on two players next season.

20 May 2013 17:28:49
Always makes me laugh these yeovil fans. Congratulations on promotion but let's face it you will be straight back down next year if you are buying players like Fontaine and Kilkenny! To be fair you are a small club and will struggle to attract good players, you struggled to get 20,000 in a playoff final! Not saying we are a big club but we sold out 38,000 in under 10 mins when we were last in a playoff final.

Yeovil haven't bought Kilkenny or Fontaine. City did though!
Also comparing Wembley attendances is ridiculous with Bristol a large city and Yeovil a small town!
Thanks for Edwards though!

Whos in league1? Oh yeah you COYG

Population of bristol last recorded 428, 100, population of yeovil 40,000 and you're comparing wembley attendances, have a word with yourself mate, yeah we may struggle but at least we haven't got into debt by doing it like majority off other teams in the league, 3 years in a row made a profit, we will adjust the budget to how it is seen fit, and yeah we do need to bring in a few more players I agree but the spine is there, which is important, and not just thank you for Edwards, but thanks for Mcallister also who has been a workhorse for us even at 35, think we need 4 or 5 players in, but keep hold of Madden, Upson, Stech, Edwards, Hayter, Ayling, Bring Dan Burn back in for another season loan, I believe we will be able to compete,

You won't find many people who won't want rid of these two.

Kilkenny particularly could be pinted at as everything that's wrong with Bristol City.

Average talent on big money.

If Yeovil can sign him on a wage that suits his ability he could be of use to them.

If we have just been relegated mainly cause of fontaine's very poor season why would someone else sign them and to be honest bristol may be big but half the city supports rovers and a quater are too poor to buy a ticket and for the yeovil thing all my friends and I went and none of us like yeovil and half the people at my college did also

Just because players don't perform at one club it doesn't mean they won't perform at another! Prime example: Paddy Madden! Now look at him!

I am a lifelong Bristol City fan and am happy to admit the table does'nt lie.

Yeovil are the best club in the West Country, attendences and bugets don't really matter a jot, all people want is glory.

Yoevil are Championship, we are league 1, don't even try and engage their fans in a who is the better team banter at the minute because it just is them.

May change this time next year, but they have 12 months of lording to enjoy. Just give them their credit.

Here, here! Very kind words. Appreciated!

JD Sports founder David Makin set to complete a takeover of Bury FC this week. His 1st move will be to appoint Brian Horton as Manager

Not sure about the Brian Horton bit but the takeover by should be announced on Wednesday.

First ever shop was set up in Bury and he is from Bury I believe maybe some truth in this.

His first shop was in Heywood.
Then Sportswalk in Rochdale
The JD in Bury.
Please be factual.

20 May 2013 00:32:08
KAYODE ODEJAYI is set to return to Colchester United, after being transfer listed by Rotherham, if Jabo Ibehre doesn't sign the contract offered to him.

Cannot see this happening really. A decent player while he was with us and we certainly missed his type at the start of the season but the club have moved on. You would have to consider his age at 31 too. I can definitely see him getting a League One move anyway.

19 May 2013 23:58:30
Oldham Athletic new signing Bas Savage will be presented to the media tomorrow morning.

Good luck he can't hit a barn door! his celebration is good though

WRONG and oldham fans have known for days it would be Dayton and he has signed a 2yr deal.

More unreal rumours made up again.

I very much doubt it, this guy has never done a thing of any note
