Reading fc to announce triple signing of Hooper, Drenthe and Austin Friday. Hooper expected to be 6m Austin around 5m rising to 7m and Drenthe free. Drenthe is done just waiting to for the other 2 to sign the deal then will be announced. Hooper is still to sign the contract as he had a medical Wednesday and wanted 48 hours to think with Austin arriving for a medical fridwy lunchtime to put pen to paper Friday afternoon with a evening announcement

Whatever

Yeah boy!

This would be gooooooood

What a load of tosh. Reading, wouldn't sign both Hooper and Austin as they are two of the same and they don't need two new strikers. the only likely thing to happen out of this post is signing of Drenthe, and that's by no means certain either {Ed029's Note - Drenthe will go through, should be today. Apparently just paperwork now.

Why would Hooper want to go from playing champions league to championship?

Wind up

You talk so much rubbish its incredible. Why would Hooper go from Champions League to Championship. He may as well stay in Scotland and sign for Partick Thistle! Especially when he wants to put himself in the England frame for next years World Cup.

I have doubt if any announcement will be today now. Seems things are dragging. Coopers representative has confirmed he has spoken to the club but doesn't think a formal offer has been made. The Austin thing has come out of left field last night so know little about it. It seems the sharp thing is not happening now.

Drenthe seems to be sealed and just want to make a big announcement with the rest

If all 3 of these come true ill shag the nearest animal and pretend i'm happy

The championship is harder than the SPL he needs to go there first

Drenthe deal done. Cannot see Hooper going there as apparently several Prem clubs interested. Good deal for Reading if he does mind you.

Drenthe went from champions league with Real Madrid to Reading

Update on Ipswich, as nothing seems to be going on at the moment.

Stephen Henderson is a 50/50 whether he signs a season-long loan deal this being dependant on whether Owain Fon-Williams decides to sign a contract at Portman Road.

Defenders Reece Brown (Man Utd) and Kirk Broadfoot (Blackpool) are on the brink of completing deals as is Wycombe winger Joel Grant.

Released Doncaster midfielder Martin Woods is currently on trial and may be handed a contract, this is unsure.

Ipswich have continued interest over Sylvan Ebanks-Blake from Wolves where Mick McCarthy is also trying to bring Richard Stearman back into the frame.

However more nimble and "poacherous" strikers such as DJ Campbell and Simeon Jackson are on the watchlist for now!

That is all.

Aston Villa have signed left-back Antonio Luna from Sevilla which hopefully ends interest in Aaron Cresswell.

All sounds promising and viable fingers crossed i'd be happy if half of this happens

I don't know much about Simeon Jackson but I don't think he's a poacher at all.

Omg Ebanks Blake is an out and out poacher

Martin Woods, nothing special but worth a punt as a squad player. Definitely right with needing a poacher upfront. I'd go Campbell as he can score and would bring a wealth of experience.

Any news on that Bedoya guy signing?

Simeon Jackson 'WILL NOT' be going to Ipswich as he is signing for another club! SORRY LADS!

Joel Grant isn't joining Ipswich, contrary to popular belief, the rumour is untrue. Joel wishes to stay at Wycombe, however he is in talks regarding his wage, which has taken a cut due to the club aiming to break even & cutting down on the squad size. Expect to see Joel commit his future at Adams Park for a further year at least.

Unfortunately Bedoya has been offered terms by reportedly 16 teams in Europe and North America, so is unlikely to happen.

I wasn't saying that Ebanks-Blake wasn't a poacher, I am just saying that we already have well-built "hold the ball up" strikers in McGoldrick and Murphy. And that we need to inject a bit more pace, this being because Nouble and Marriott are quite there yet!

Grant was reportedly at Portman Road yesterday to finalise a deal. Him and a pacey striker and we'll be in business.

Broadfoot has signed a New contract though.

With Blackpool? Since when?

Bedoya has not appeared in a US national team game since 2010, so he wouldn't qualify for an English work permit.

Paul Taylor has more than enough pace, as does Nouble. With them two, McGoldrick, Murphy, Marriott and Chopra I can't see us doing any business with any striker unless Chopra leaves but I think his wages will be spent on other areas of the field, five strikers is plenty.

Crystal Palace HAVE agreed a deal for Bakary Sako. They WILL sign him next Wednesday after the player completes a medical.
Palace also hope to get the signing of Jerome Thomas OVER THE LINE by next friday.

21 Jun 2013 09:17:05
We won't be signing BS, he is an average player at best an not of IH's radar

21 Jun 2013 12:31:40
He's due at Fulham shortly.

Southampton plot club-record 12 million transfer swoop for Celtic's Champions League hero Victor Wanyama. Source 2 daily red tops

Why? When he could do better than them?

We're not bad, we have the cash most teams don't, the Premiership is high level stuff, a handful of CL games don't make you Messi, we're getting much better all the time.
I'm biased of course but I think that with a few good signings year on year (don't rush it Saints), we can really build a club that has something special.

Bull sorry pal Gaston Ramirez was bought for £13m with add ons, so no record there, plus I thought the Celtic chap was valued at £10m? Also Cardiff are in for him too.

Because players are attracted to the long term goals for Southampton. Cortese wants to win a Champions league title within a decade. Teams like Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, celebrated finishing top four last season. It's a project. Players are attracted to ambition, and will flock to it. How do you think Manchester United went from relegation favorites to eventually holding the most premier league titles in England? Ambition. And Fergie. But it started with ambition.

Because Southampton will finish in the top half of the table this season. Watch this space

"Why? When he could do better than them?". This has been the reaction of many of our transfers lately, quite funny. People who don't know about Saints, the owners & Chairman have no idea what's going on and what's being planned. Anyway the Wanyama deal is close apparently.

Ramirez was £11 million plus add ons.

The club record mentioned I guess is club record for a celtic sale. Not saints purchase.

As a saints fan, last season we met Chelsea and man city at the right time without those wins we would be in the championship again. I'd love to see it but don't think we will be a top half team. Our goal keeper can't even catch the ball from a corner again a cortese signing.

Wanyama has said that the clubs have agreed terms but he is still to agree terms with Southampton before he will consider himself a Saint.

Looks to me like he is seeing if there are any other better offers out there before he signs, other wise he would have kept quiet and signed the deal in front of him.

Is it true lambert has been seen in Newcastle? Hope not

Lambert isn't for sale.

the club have previously rejected multiple offers. as wierd as it sounds and I'm sure people are going to reply to this going "he's not worth that much", lambert would cost 20 mil. why? because there is no player around that we could replace him with for 20 mil.

think about it. and don't say carroll.

Chesterfield now looking to offer cash and Sam Togwell to bring in Southends sought after Ryan Cresswell.

Sounds possible given the midfielders we may be bringing in. I'd love us to get Cresswell

Not a chance. cook will not get rid of togs, randall more likely

Randal is a free agent and not our player to trade.

What about Sam Hird? He is on the transfer list after all?

With Morsey coming In and Ryan here, Togwell will be benched and he's a top earner so may as well get rid

Cresswell is staying

21 Jun 2013 14:10:56
IF YOU ARE TAKING OUR BEST PLAYER YOU COUGH UP THE DOSH SO WE CAN CHOOSE THE PLAYERS WE WANT NOT YOUR CAST OFFS

Sam hird isn't a 'cast off' he's decent but cooper and trotters were fantastic last season so hird didn't get in! He be good for Southend he's about that level

Cresswell will be at Chesterfield for 100K

Randall isn't a free agent

22 Jun 2013 17:56:28
You insult our intelligence!

Randall is a free agent contract offered at CFC turned down free to look for another club that makes him a free agent

20 Jun 2013 22:45:49
Bradford City looking to strengthen their squad with a bid for Fleetwood Towns Junior Brown {Ed003's Note - I'm sure he just signed a new deal there.}

Junior signed a 2 year contract recently.

Signing a new deal just ensures he doesn't leave on a free. If a decent offer comes in, it'll be accepted.

Unlikely a multi millionaire chairman is going to sell one of his best players garbage

Why would we want him?

Not happening

I agree, why would we want him?

20 Jun 2013 22:44:43
Rotherham Looking to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City on loan until the end of the season.

20 Jun 2013 22:42:08
Rotherham still showing interest in Lyle Taylor from Falkirk and Cliftonville strike Liam Boyce

These are type of players we should be signing-

20 Jun 2013 22:41:13
The cobblers have agreed a fee with fleetwood for steven Gillespie and he is travelling down for talks with a view to signing on Friday.

20 Jun 2013 22:12:28
Preston north end have accepted 350k bid for Iain Hume from Doncaster rovers.
Good lucky Humeyyy:-)

20 Jun 2013 23:46:57
I think I called this last week {Ed003's Note - I think you did,it would be easier if you registered, pne fan.}

That is a complete load of Bolony. If DRFC are interested and willing to pay a fee, it will not reach 100K.

I can't believe it he was a bit part player on loan last year, it seems a lot of money for a 30year old+ player

21 Jun 2013 11:12:13
it will be near the 350k mark and not the 100k mark pne paid half his wages and will not let hume go for 100k FACT

If Hume goes then this will free up wages for a striker called Leigh Griffiths who North End seem to be keen on signing.

PNE would have had to pay all his wages had he not been on loan. They must also continue to do so should he not leave. If rumour is correct then he earns between 364K and 520K, so. PNE keep on paying that, DRFC most certainly won't pay 350K and wages like that.

More chance of Melanie Griffith.

I doubt very much Doncaster will pay that much for him.

Good riddance when Hume does go.

It's not good riddance at all good player but to dear for us

How many goals has Hume scored per season in the last three? He isn't good enough now and never was. He is the most over rated player I have ever known at deepdale!

He scored 7 last season for Doncaster the same amount as King and Sodje scored for us, Monakana wasn't too far behind on 6.

If he had scored more then I wouldn't have minded him staying but I think he's a bit past it now.

20 Jun 2013 21:59:51
Bristol City News

Fielding and Williams deals will be completed tomorrow

also expect an ex under 21 Irish international who spent some of last season plying his trade in the basement to sign as replacement for championship bound Kilkenny

I would love it, LOVE IT, if someone bought him.

Albert would only go to Blackpool to switch the lights on, if had wanted to play on a beach he would pop down the road to Weston.

Feilding brilliant keeper so hope he signs he perfect age great shot stopper the little mistakes let him down but keepers get netter with age

20 Jun 2013 21:30:36
West brom's main targets are: Mbokoni, Maloney, Tiovenen and Redmond. -

Looks like we have missed out on all of those targets then.

Lets wait and see

You've missed out Benayoun, there.

Why does it look like we've missed out on all of them transfer window opens July the 1 st

21 Jun 2013 14:06:32
We won't sign any of these as they all require a fee.
See under Jeremy peace to find out more.

20 Jun 2013 20:50:28
Bradford are ready to make a move for Sheffield Wednesday striker Chris Maguire on loan

O'grady gone good luck to the lad

Maguire appears to be the 40th player who has been linked with Bradford. It looks like Parkinson is intent on creating the largest squad ever in the 1st division!

Parky has said he is trying to keep his squad as small as poss

Oxford United's pursuit of Cullum Kennedy looks to have ended as the left back failed an extensive medical at the Kassam stadium

20 Jun 2013 20:10:31
John-Joe O'Toole has agreed a move from Colchester to Bristol Rovers- to be announced 21. 06. 13.
Sanchez Watt is joining Colchester from Arsenal after being released.
Colchester have received a six figure bid for Freddie Sears from Ipswich Town and this is expected to clear the way for a return for Steve Gillespie from Fleetwood.

20 Jun 2013 22:45:40
Please not Gilespie if we get him back don't think I will bother collecting my season ticket {Ed003's Note - Bet you do ;) }

Its ok you won't see him play much he'll be injured!

No deal for O'Toole in the pipeline.

Heskey is on his way to colchester for a medicle after joe dunne contacted his people earlier in the week

Please, please, not Gillespie, just a liability, how many times did he play a full 90 mins. for Col. you and Fleetwood, not many.

To be fair, Gilly has a great strike rate. Goal every other game so he should score at least 3

20 Jun 2013 20:20:03
Murray Davidson to sign for millwall this week

Supposed to be quite a decent player? let's see what he's got SL?!

You got the name wrong - it is Clayton Donaldson from Brentford!

I think you will find Murray Davidson does exisit and played for Lomas at St Johnson!

No it's Murray Davidson. Clayton Donaldson is another player we are being linked with.

20 Jun 2013 19:51:40
Marcus tudgay to sign for newcomers bournemouth in the next 48hours

Rubbish

Just signed new contract so very unlikely

20 Jun 2013 19:57:42
According to the evening times motherwell are in for lee miller

20 Jun 2013 19:45:44
Joszef Varga looking almost certain to sign for boro in next 48 hours, plus does anyone know who the premier league player is thag Mowbray is bringing in on loan?

Super lee cattermole?

20 Jun 2013 20:47:12
A few names have been mentioned. Most likely to be Danny graham or Nathan ake.

20 Jun 2013 21:48:11
Nick powell

20 Jun 2013 22:08:19
Will keane

Four responses, all different, so that would be a no then!

"does anyone know who the premier league player is that Mowbray is bringing in on loan?"

Don't know, but what's near enough guaranteed is that he'll regularly be on the losing side.

21 Jun 2013 08:14:29
I heard it was Gareth Bale! lol!

20 Jun 2013 19:36:23
Posh will sign marlon pack as of 1st July watch this space.

Crawley have already agreed a deal

20 Jun 2013 19:36:02
Cheltenham are rumoured to be interested in Portsmouth attacking midfielder Liam Walker.

Yeah, Yeah, exchange deal for Marlon Pack no doubt!

Would be very happy with that swap deal!
I think marlon would too!

I don't think Marlon would. Pompey are a League 2 club and anyone who thinks they will walk this league may be sorely disappointed.
The only reason he is leaving Cheltenham is because he wants to play at a higher level.

21 Jun 2013 14:35:22
Pack would love that, near to his family. But he is still looking likely to be going to Crawley

Actually nothing to do with a swap deal!

No, he wants league 1/championship football end of.

Never going to happen I know he wants too play in a higher division and he won't come back but of course he would love to come bacck here he loves pompey

If footballers were all about sentiment he'd be back at Pompey, but when his agent is talking to Crawley it's about the cash and about the higher level of playing.

He's talking to several clubs at mo

I don't think this is going to happen! Because we can't afford fees and so on. But I disagree with some of the comments, he would love to come back to Pompey, born and bread here, has friends here, family and his girlfriend is from Pompey! I think he would sacrifice higher level football for a year or two to be back here!

No he wouldn't. Why are so many fans stuck in the past about footballers sacrificing money and reputation in order to be loyal or sentimental?

Pack's agent is talking to Crawley. Think the money and his standing will be higher there, don't you?

This rumour is about Walker. Not Pack!

20 Jun 2013 19:40:04
A deal seeing posh captain going to Leeds will see Ryan hall signing at peterborough

Wouldn't be a bad deal as Ryan Hall doesn't look good enough for a promotion chasing team that Leeds should be looking to be this season

Denied by posh chairman

Could happen. posh were in for him, but decided to go to leeds instead. Though I doubt leeds are going to put in the required money to get rowe

20 Jun 2013 19:30:36
READING have had a £2m bid accepted for West Ham striker Ricardo Vaz Te.

Never going to happen. Surely Not?

Ugh he has a terrible goal scoring record. let's not? please?

Hope this is not true I personally think he would disrupt the squad

21 Jun 2013 08:40:02
Scored 20 odd goals last time he was in championship. Including hat tricks for 2 teams. Yeah he's rubbish.5 mil minimum. Or give us kebe and 4 mil.

20 Jun 2013 19:30:36
READING have had a £2m bid accepted for West Ham striker Ricardo Vaz Te.

After his comments about reading when they won the league I hope not!

5m minimum! You're joking he's only worth about 2m.

20 Jun 2013 19:24:13
Ed, any news on the transfer front at Reading? {Ed029's Note - Can only tell you the club were/are hoping to announce two new signings, one Drenthe, the other (?). Unsure if they got him or not. May know tomorrow.

They should announce Drenthe already so I can stop worrying he won't actually sign. and with him coming in do you think it means Kebe will be going? I know he likes to get injured but I rate him highly and he's a great royal. or is it HRK? {Ed029's Note - He told Dutch media the contract is signed. It's probably just paperwork now.

21 Jun 2013 15:39:19
just waiting for approval from the russian fa on the drenthe deal, which should be pretty soon, but once that's done he's a reading player {Ed029's Note - It's done. Club announcement made at 10:52 today.

20 Jun 2013 19:15:11
Rochdale sign Ashley eastham from Blackpool. Rochdale fought off stiff competition from other clubs to sign the young defender, having said rochdale was the right choice because they will be successful.

His agent kristov easeyy was touting his name but most remember his performance for bury away at notts county and stayed clear

Cant see why we realesed him. could of been good enough for first team next season

What has he done to show he is good enough for the Championship?

He'd have been nowhere near our 1st team this year, hence Rochdale is a good move for him

20 Jun 2013 18:37:49
One season wonder Fabien Brandy no longer wants to play for Walsall fc and wants to play at championship level, Dean Smith will now look to replace the striker

Good luck on any club who does sign him as he thinks he is a lot better then he actually is.

Love this comment I'm a walsall fan and he's a good player but just last season keep him at walsall for another and see what happens!

Sir Alex Ferguson said the same thing when he was released by Manchester United as a youngster

Sounds like another s**** striker Huddersfield will be linked with shortly

I'm a walsall fan and it weren't actually one season wonder because he only played half the season. Let him go he will end up back on scrap heap.

With an unnamed person on the Walsall fc payroll last night and brandy is certain to sign elsewere so let's move on. Scot wagstaff has been in for talks but we are one of many to talk too him. The feeling around Walsall is brandy is a cracking lad but not as good as he thinks so not that fussed either way. Walsall are fighting hard to keep will grigg more than brandy.

Fabien Brandy will end up back in the football wilderness if he keeps behaving like this, feel sorry for Walsall they gave him a change and he's thrown it straight back into there face. All the best for next season

20 Jun 2013 18:34:50
ex carlisle united striker francois zoko is open to a move as he is unsettled in nottingham and would be interested in the possibility of a carlisle return.

Have to say that getting him back would make my season

Would love francois to come back to his 'English home'! But can't see it happening to be honest. Maybe next season if his contract at notts isn't renewed

Lets move on there are plenty of other players available

No chance!

Hard to think of a better (realistic) way for the board to increase attendance and season ticket sales for next season.

If true, this would win some fans back easy

20 Jun 2013 18:23:32
crystal palace have signed Jerome Thomas on a free. however the club has yet to confirm it.

20 Jun 2013 18:23:15
crystal palace possible ins outs
ins
j. Thomas - free - done deal according to his twitter
odemwingie - west brom - multiple source
Redmond - Birmingham - £2 million bid made
david Vaughn - sunderland

Its JAMES Vaughan to sign for Ollie!

"odemwingie - west brom - multiple source"

Yes, I do believe it's called The Internet.

James Vaughan has been linked once - won't return - best he will do is championship with his injury problems for the time being - David however has been linked many times and is a small chance of signing him but apparently 2 other clubs after him

20 Jun 2013 18:20:54
Huddersfield town are to sign Leon clarke on a 2 year contract.

No were not

+ve side MR knows him from Cov

too many -ve's IMO to mention

Jay Bothroyd is set to meet dean Hoyle early next week to sign for huddersfield town. Looking at a 3 year deal.

Hope not to either, Weds fans said Boothroyd was a waste of space

Have they booked in at the sandros of costa?

Jay Bothroyd? Do me a favor ffs. I don't think he fits in with Dean Hoyle's plan's somehow.

Bothroyd will want as much as Beckford so better to sign Becks, problem is this isn't true.

Apparently Jay Bothroyd does look set to sign for use he will be used as a target man a good old fashioned number 9. He's a proven operator at this level and should bag use 20 goals per season it's a good move IMO

I wish poeople would stop talking noncence when saying who is supposed to be signing for Town.
Vaughn is the main target, striker.
others are anyones guess.
Tmac

Same as last year, we won't be signing anybody till just the crocks and dreggs are all that's left. Loads of noise and no action. Pathetic

Ive no work on my dogs and signing on. i'd play for nothing. No agent and wouldn't need a contract either. I can play up front or at the back. Ill sweep up if you want. Geeza job, i'm Yozzer Hughes.

Think he would be a god signing and a very good target man!

I've heard Vaughan has been offered to Blackburn plus cash for Martin Olsson. I hope to god this isn't true and he signs for town!

Job application successful Yosser, we need a striker, Hoyle and robins are in no rush. you`ve got the job! And as your not wanting a fat contract, that means we can sign someone on a free transfer, not wanted elsewhere to play alongside you.

If we don't get Vaughan (H Town) it's not the end of the world let's not pin our hopes on signing one player - it's a team game - cheer up its summer

Thanks for that mate, I can start now, give me a ball, I won't let you down. i'm Yozzer Hughes

You townies can't afford james vaughan that's why your trying to sign jon stead enjoy your last season in the championship

Your welcome, just turn up Thursday for pre season, you also get weds and sunday off! Just don`t tell Robins, he, ll never know. And a certain starter if you can shoot a ball closer on goal than Novak ever could. Happy days

I won't let you down. I can do anything. i'm Yosser Hughes.

Cant afford James Vaughan? Are you serious? That's why Dean Hoyle has made him the no 1 target. Weird how we wanted to sign Beckford on a permanent previous only for Leicester to pull the plug at the last minute. Personal terms had been agreed too

20 Jun 2013 17:59:17
Udinese look set to sign former Portuguese U21 midfielder Paulo Regula then send him out to Watford

Would it not be better for Watford to sign him directly?

21 Jun 2013 01:00:30
Its possible Udinese see him a future player in the Serie A Maybe it's so the can cover his wages
maybe Watford will buy him.

If he isn't too expensive

20 Jun 2013 17:43:21
Bournemouth are on the verge of signing Leon Clarke from Coventry city, and Coventry are willing to let him go for a sensible price

Would love this, was the difference at dean court last season! Strong with pace, hope howe can sort his attitude! Big AR

How many more players are Bournemouth going to buy, your supporter's seem to be saying we are buying this player and that player.
Most of what you put is rubbish loved to know were you get all these rumours from.

Wow, that's 8 different clubs he's on the verge of signing for! His agent is in for a big pay packet this summer!

Not going anywhere.

'Your supporters'. How do you know! That's the problem. Howe said he was not going mad this window & has stated again that he's looking for quality not quantity. You'll find that a lot of these rumours are merely wind ups
from whatever supporter.

How do you know it's Bournemouth supporters who are posting these rumours? {Ed029's Note - We can see all previous posts made. He's AFCB.

21 Jun 2013 15:57:40
Coventry to sign released gary roberts from swindon on a free

If you want true Bournemouth transfers etc go to the official site, Bournemouth don't let the press report on their dealings and everything is kept in house. Just accept this page for what it is (a rumours site) and don't get too upset :)

Afcb fans are pretty realistic about next season and don't take these posts very seriously. We do know however that we have a decent squad already so just don't need about 10-20 players that have been posted on here!

Clarke is not for sale and is under contract and has committed his future to the sky blues. He is part of the longer game plan.

20 Jun 2013 17:42:44
Star winger James Henry will not be leaving Millwall this season, he has said maybe one day he will want to move to a bigger club but at the moment he's passionate with Millwall, he also says that Shaun Batt is leaving the club. Source I'm currently speaking to his half sister

20 Jun 2013 17:36:01
Conference side Wrexham FC are in talks to sign veteran striker Dele Adebola on 1 year deal after his release from League Two side Rochdale.

20 Jun 2013 17:33:17
Hull have paid over the odds with £4.5 million for Austin - in last year of contract. Panic buy.

And this my friends is why our national side and under 21's are no good. £4.5m for a championship player or £2m for an international (Helenius at Villa). As long as English clubs keep over-rating their players and as a consquence massively over-valuing them, then clubs are going to shop for better players from overseas for half the price.

How can it be a panic buy when the transfer window isn't even open?

20 Jun 2013 22:00:22
A 23 year old English striker with a 1 in 2 goal ratio (albeit in Championship and League 1) for £4m? A risk worth taking, not much of a panic buy. If we get relegated we know he'll score in the Championship

21 Jun 2013 00:50:14
£4.5 million is not so much a panic buy; it is a sad reflection of the inflation that the Premier League has brought into the transfer market. If you would like to point Steve Bruce towards a striker that would a) cost less than £4m with b) a similar 1:2 goalscoring record, that c) would actually be willing to move to Hull, and d) wouldn't demand £60k+ per week in wages, then I'm sure he would be happy to take your call. West Ham will pay more than £4.5m just to keep 10 goals a season Carroll on the payroll for a year. the likes of Chamakh, Carlton Cole or Bendtner would demand £40k pw+ and a huge signing on fee to join the likes of Hull, Norwich etc and would no doubt clear off at the 1st hint of relegation. put into context which is the 'panic buy?' I would take an unproven 'gamble' like Austin over proven failures like Bendtner or Cole any day

Panic buy?? you are a MORON

Well said^^

Well said fella! think £4.5mil for austin is too much but only because of they way the market is.

4. 5? I heard 3. 7

20 Jun 2013 17:18:54
Lee Croft poised to sign for Millwall have being released from Oldham and has played under Lomas before

Kirk Millar attracting interest from a number of clubs. Haven't seen anywhere that he's signed a new contract and I believe his agent is weighing up options before he signs. Better and more effective than Croft.

20 Jun 2013 17:39:11
Expect signings to start at crystal palace from next week.

Jerome Thomas will be a crystal palace player on July 1st, signing a 2 year deal
Peter odemwingie will also be playing at selhurst next season.

Palace currently have bids in for Nathan Redmond, andy Johnson, David Vaughan, Charlie Adam, Matt Phillips, and Anthony pilkington, and will step up the chase for reading pair Adam le fondre and Hal Robson kanu.

They will not be persuing Charlie Austin or Jordan Rhodes due to inflated prices so will turn their attentions abroad in the coming days, as the search for a goal scorer continues

Big chris

No chance you will get pilkington

20 Jun 2013 18:28:17
wow, you will get jerome thomas, that's it. wake up son you're dreaming.

Lol you might have a chance of getting Robson-kanu now we have Drenthe but no way you'll get le fondre

Sounds really good, those players will really bolster our chances of staying up, I really like darren bent and he would be the icing on the cake in terms of transfers to me

Palace currently have bids in for Nathan Redmond, andy Johnson, David Vaughan, Charlie Adam, Matt Phillips, and Anthony pilkington, and will step up the chase for reading pair Adam le fondre and Hal Robson kanu.

That's a fair amount of money there. Didn't realise palace were quids in

Scott McDonald of Middlesbrough on that list too, and Reece Williams for £2.5 million

You won't sign any of those. Championship football for Palace again in a year

Yeah right pal

Local paper confirmed that the only club to enquire about Matt Phillips was Hull.

Charlie Adam would cost £4m + and there is no way he would move from the north west as he gets home sick if he travels to Stoke.

Vaughan. would be a great signing. but not a premiership player.

Will Ollie want any other ex Blackpool players. GTF, Kornilenko, Reid, DJ?

You lot really need to take a reality check. I'm not looking to sign any of these players at this moment in time. My list is extensive and you will only find out when I've actually signed them.

Crystal Palace Will Have a Big Chance Of Getting Nathan Redmond Because He Is Impressed With Palaces Youth Training and wants to become a premier leage player

20 Jun 2013 17:18:52
Bolton will look to wrap up the deals for Beckford and Robert Hall following the annual holiday period.

Dougie will then turn his attention towards a centre back preferring a loan deal for dawson!

Sales could force further transfers with bwfc looking to hold on to the majority of the squad. Don't be surprised to see some players leave and not be replaced. specifically Tyrone Mears

Dawson going on loan to a PL club.

20 Jun 2013 17:17:45
Barnsley interested in former Blackpool centre back Ian evatt

Injury crock.

He will only sign if you have a restaurant golden arches near the training ground

Injury crock? He has had one bad injury in his career which he is almost recovered from. He's spent 3 weeks at st George's park this summer and is very close to full fitness. There is plenty of life left in his career.

Good player and NOT an injury crock

I think I can remember two injurys he has had in whole career, 1 being a head injury

Any idea what his other injury was out of interest?

20 Jun 2013 16:59:46
Wolves looking to sign a centre back to partner the young Danny Batth, this is rumoured to be Danny s***tu, Dan Seaborne or Matthew Bates

All of these players are available on free transfers

Sh***u has just signed a new deal with Millwall so this rumour is all lies

S***tu signed a new two year deal at the end of last season.

Danny s***tu signed a new contract at millwall last month so that's clearly b*******

20 Jun 2013 17:43:21
What's happened to Roger "The Dodger" Johnson?

Wolves won't sighn sxxxtu the name says it all, we're trying 2 get rid of donkeys not bring in more no offence. seabourne wil be the one, what's bates like?aint heard of him in a while and what club is he at?thanks wolves ay we

20 Jun 2013 23:10:37
Bates is well overrated and looks over weight! Was brought to Ashton gate to bring defensive cover last season and just got injured over and over again and barley featured and wasted wage money! Good luck if you get that price of s***tu hahah

20 Jun 2013 16:52:04
York will step up their interest in Scunthorpe left-back Callum Kennedy after his move to Oxford United fell through due to a new stringent medical process at the Kassam Stadium club.

Worthington a stickler for fitness, would imagine our medicals to be pretty extensive too. If indeed this guy has already failed a medical doubt we'd be looking at him but who knows!

We do not want him if he has fitness problems.
we have had many players who were not match fit and they never played so no thanks Scunthorpe
YOU CAN KEEP HIM!

It wasn't the medical it was the personal terms what they couldn't agree on

The reason he wanted to leave Scunthorpe and join Oxford was 'cos he and his gf wanted to move back south. He wouldn't want to go to York

20 Jun 2013 16:48:06
Norwich City have made a loan offer for Portuguese Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes and the club are very confident of making this deal come off in the near future.

Top player! Would be a great addition.

Would be great. There used to quite a bit of hype surrounding him. Can't see it right now though.

Welcome back manuel fernanders rumour we have mist you lo xx

20 Jun 2013 16:44:17
Shrewsbury will sign striker Theo Robinson for an undisclosed fee. Set to be annouced on friday. COYB

Strange one this as Robinson did well at Derby in the last few seasons but can't get a start anywhere in the Championship really. rejected at Huddersfield though he should be a good asset for Shrewsbury if it comes off.

Where are all these Theo Robinson rumours coming from? They're everywhere. But I would love it if it comes from.

20 Jun 2013 16:41:57
Yeovil Town's striker Ruben Reid is going on loan to Plymouth for the whole season and transfer target Korey smith is joining Oldham on a two year contract after being released by Norwich

Wasn;t it said on here that Korey was going to orient, see WRONG and you will also be amazed with the other 5 signings that are coming to BP which includes a proven striker.

Oldham also interested in 2 other ex norwich players.

Well are you gunna tell us who the 5 signings are?

Adeyemi is one I bet. Good player, could play champo

Simeon jackson? I hope

Adeyemi back would be great. LJ is assembling a cracking squad and creating an air of optimism at BP. all we need now is a keeper, at least one striker and a couple of defenders.

No can't say the other 5 names as our manager keeps its quiet you see but we find out say a day before its funny watching peeps on here putting so much rubbish about players.

Mark Oxley GK from HULL on our radar season long loan but still far off a deal yet. Just one we are looking at.

20 Jun 2013 16:39:20
Leeds United are on the verge of signing Noel Hunt and Tommy Rowe, these deals are very likely to happen in the next 7 days, enquiries and bids have been made for other players but these could take a few more weeks to complete.

Noel Hunt = Long balls into the channels and headless chicken with good engine hoping to get something from nothing.

The Hoof Ball begins. Enjoy!

Don't remember seeing McDermott's Reading playing too much hoofball in their promotion season, and Hunt did well there.

If it gets us to the prem then bring it on MOT!

22 Jun 2013 11:02:00
Noel Hunt is very good in the air but he isn't a exactly a donkey, he's 5 foot 8 and he can use his feet.

20 Jun 2013 16:32:06
Batt will sign for orient after being realised by millwall, the chaiman has shown positive feeds in signing him on twitter

20 Jun 2013 16:21:20
Watford coule sign Javier Acuna. Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace are also in the running to sign the youngster.

He isn't a youngster he is 26

Not wanted by Boro

He's 24

Hes 24 and the 3 clubs linked are palace, boro and forest

He will join Watford on trial for pre season training next Friday

20 Jun 2013 16:19:19
Oldham to sign Turkey U20 forward Ibrahim Yimaz on a 2 year contract.

20 Jun 2013 16:15:30
Bury have rather controversially offered David Healy a new contract after missing out on a number of targets. The salary is rumoured to be nowhere near what he was previously on but is heavily stacked with performance related bonuses.

Good one, Blackwell can't stand him.

Likewise, none of the players we had last season can stand Blackwell.

This is pure nonensense. DH couldn't get fit or motivated to play in league 1 he is hardly going to play any better in league 2.

Rumour dismissed

This is actually true. He's been offered the minimum wage plus £5,000 per goal.

Lol that's the funniest comment I have heard since our chairman pledged his faith in Kevin Blackwell for our forthcoming season in league 2.

He as quoted" he would never play for Blackwell again", all I will say is thank god!

He hardly played for him before, because Blackwell would never pick him.

^That and he spent half the season injured so couldn't play anyway.

20 Jun 2013 16:13:32
Hull City are set to rival Crystal Palace in a bid to sign Gillingham youngster Jack Payne. Hull, who were recently promoted to the Premier League, are looking for a young Defensive Midfielder and Payne seems to have made that criteria. Hull are set to offer £250,000 and unwanted striker Aaron McLean.

20 Jun 2013 19:17:23
Aaron McLean is too small for Gillingham. Martin Allen likesbigger players.

20 Jun 2013 20:36:21
Highly unlikely

20 Jun 2013 16:03:47
Oxford United are after Paul Hayes

20 Jun 2013 15:33:23
burton to sign derbys tom naylor and callum ball on season long loans

Good deal for all parties if true, Ball definitely needs to kick on next season.

Would be a good deal if it happens, where has this come from?

Derby need a lb. cunningham or robinson for me.

Next 2 signings: heskey and cambell

Who is signing heskey

Not true, callum fighting for squad place with the Rams this year, if on loan then only for a month here and there not for a season!

20 Jun 2013 15:31:19
Free Agents Matthew Bates and Patrick Kisnorbo are attracting interest from Charlton who are seeking cover in defence. Birmingham also interested as they seek to replace the departing Curtis Davies.

Jay Bothroyd has been released by QPR and Crystal Palace are monitoring his situation.

20 Jun 2013 15:30:04
martinez after barca and mexican star dos santos

Dos santos left barca years ago.

20 Jun 2013 18:00:13
aye giovani his brother jonathan is still there

daviebhoy08

20 Jun 2013 15:22:20
Swans had a bid of 2. 5 m rejected for Michy Batshuayi. Looks like a good prospect if the swans are willing to up their offer. Would provide competition for the soon to sign Bafetimbi Gomis.

Gomis and batshuay. Would be two great signings.

Good signing what with the others that want to play for ML roll on next season.
FLY SWANS FLY

20 Jun 2013 15:10:06
Jon stead a signed for Barnsley on a 3 year deal

No he hasn, t if you had said 12mths probably not even going on web site to look
Wombwell RED

3 years? really? hell be nearly 50 years old then

John stead is a terrible striker rather have some one from youth set up coming through rather than him

Person 3yr deal. if you don't know anything don't post

Strange. Don Rowing has confirmed the deal is dead so how has he signed?

A beanpole striker called Stead, played for Bristol in a shirt that was Red, his legs were as hard as led, too long to get into his bed. He liked to score goals for fun, come rain, wind, shine or the sun, so if you all will pardon the pun, he's one heck of a 'sun' of a gun lol.

Jon stead or higdon are not signing

I'd have loved to see higdon signing for us reckon he'd do well in championship. wheres he off to then?

Barnsley have dopped all interest in Higdon and Stead fed up of waiting for a decision offers been on table for weeks and no reply from them.

20 Jun 2013 15:09:37
Crystal Palace set to do a double deal with Gillingham for young midfielders Jack Payne and Bradley Dack. Rumour has it that the deal will involve Alex Marrow joining on a permanent contact, Jon Williams heading on a 6 month loan deal and a reported figure of £250,000 going to the Kent club.

With Jon Williams born in Pembury, Kent; Is he trying to relocate home?

Not for both of them that figure is way to low, regardless who comes the other way

I'd think you'd need to be adding at least £750k to the figure quoted above. Not a chance we'd let our two most promising young midfielders go for one player, a loan and a measly £250k.

20 Jun 2013 19:11:08
Martin Allen does NOT want any more midfielders. Gillingham have got about 6 or 7 already

20 Jun 2013 19:47:09
Palace do not need any more young midfielders - they have several excellent defensive and attacking ones already. Also there is no way that they will let Johnny Williams go out on loan - he is premiership class not league 2 class.

Gills are League one now anyway ;-)

Williams going out on loan has to be the biggest load of BS i've ever read on here.

Williams to Gillingham. lmao! He worth more than those 2 put together + £10m on top of that too.

There is no way Williams will go to Gillingham, he will be first team at palace!

Yes man of the match for Wales and Crystal Palaces' best young player going on loan to a new league one team what a shocking rumour!

20 Jun 2013 14:43:07
Mansfield close to signing released Rotherham keeper Andy Warrington who will bring vital experience needed for their first season back in the football league

Good luck, only one andy waffington.

20 Jun 2013 14:29:26
Gus poyet has left brighton and hove albion after four years with the sussex club. The uraguian failed to turn up to a hearing during the week and has told tv radio sussex 'I am disapointed the way it ended but things change and move on. '

Not true, he's been given 15 million to spend on transfers and a contract extension

This is probably true but no you haven't heard it yet. time to ad some wins to aur play. Exsiting times to come under new manager.

No he is been offerd money to leave

Poyet hasn't left yet. Wikipedia say he's still Albion's manager and no announcment has been made on any sports website yet.

15 million! Is this bloke having a laugh? I know some Brighton fans will talk rubbish, but 15m! Laughing stock

First of all he hasn't said that on the radio because if he did it would be all over the internet. As for £15 million, that's a load of rubbish. I'm a Brighton season ticket holder, and I would expect our budget to be around £5 million. Remember the club is still paying off the last of the stadium as well as the brand new training facility that will be ready for the 14/15 season which cost something like £3-5 million.

Albion offered him £10m, not £15m. Get it right

What do you know anyway? Your probally some old person that has never played a football game in therie life.

So iff some one is older and hasent played football it means that they can't know anything about bhafc?

Poyets budget was/is £10m. But he will be gone within days if not hours. £3-5m for the training facility?! try £20m plus and you might be close.

20 Jun 2013 15:02:21
Ian Evett is being chased by Oldham and Fleetwood on a free after being released by Blackpool after a long term injury and not having his contract renewed.

Haha Fleetwood?

He is better than that. he can still play in the championship

Would take him at Derby!

20 Jun 2013 14:58:21
Kevin Doyle to Hull 1.5m

20 Jun 2013 14:25:16
Billy Sharp didn't fail a medical at Reading as he didn't have a medical at Reading. Straight from the horses mouth - his loan at Forest has ended and he still has 2 years left on his contract at Saints.

{Ed029's Note - 100% had a medical on Friday. I've seen his tweets. The rumours are he failed it, so he could be saving face and now hoping for a Forest move if he can't work it out with Reading.

20 Jun 2013 17:22:02
I'm with you ed - he's hoping for a move to Forest - says as much in reply to a Forest fan via his twitter acc.

He will not go to Forest. They cannolt afford him and he does not get on with the manager.

Wrong ed, sharp said himself he never had a medical {Ed029's Note - No, I assure you he had a medical. Very reliabe source. Rumour is he failed it last Friday. He could be trying to save face and now hinting towards Forest.

Hey Ed he said "I haven't had no medical at Reading" which is a double negative and means he did have a medical. maybe he's trolling us all {Ed029's Note - Who knows, but he did have a medical at Reading last Friday. We'll see what happens. Adkins obviously likes him. Forest very keen as well.

How can forest not afford they are owned by a billionaire

Ed reveal your sources are you the Reading doctor then who did the medical - that why you failed him to reduce competition for Forest :) {Ed029's Note - Just know someone who is reliable. I don't know anyone at the club myself. I am partial to the odd nurse though..

Sharp is not intelligent enough to know what a double negative is and be able to then use it

20 Jun 2013 14:52:37
Martin Harnik is next on the Sam Allardyce radar from VFB STuttgart. Preliminary talks have proved to be fruitful with harnik looking for a new challenge, even thouigh he has 2 years left on his contract. Vaz Te plus cash deal may clinch the deal

Barnsley have a 45% pay clause on Vaz Te so it would need to be cash for him

20 Jun 2013 14:23:40
Adrian Cieslewicz will leave Wrexham and sign for Bury as part of the deal that takes Andy Bishop to Wrexham. UTS

Hope so

20 Jun 2013 14:18:59
Swansea want Wales international Andy King from Leicester.

For what

As the new ballboy

To play rugby lol, what do you think?

Dont want him

20 Jun 2013 14:06:09
Watford have beaten Palace, boro and bolton to the signing of Javier Acna.

Watford on a transfee embargo until end of august so I guess not {Ed029's Note - They can still sign players with FA approval.

20 Jun 2013 16:28:10
I hope so but it's not a done deal yet

20 Jun 2013 17:05:43
Javier who? Now who knows anything about him? And by the way Boro don't want him for the above reasons.

20 Jun 2013 18:23:12
It's a Transfer Embargo Regualtion 18 so the FL only want to view the transfers, rumours are 3 loanees from Udinese, Fabrini being one of them and another loanee from Granada,

20 Jun 2013 18:24:50
Boro don't want him because you don't know who he is. that is laughable

Who knew vydra before he signed for watford? Look how that turned out! This lad has a great goal scoring record. Udinese tried to sign him a few years back would be a great signing.

Palace did not touch him due to his glass knees. Acuna has had 3 serious knee injuries in the past 4 seasons. 46 games in the championship might be tough on him

20 Jun 2013 20:34:04
Vydra had been plagued with injuries before he signed on loan for watford and ended up making 41 league appearances better than the 75minutes previous season.

Bolton have had him watched, but weren't sufficiently impressed enough to make a move. Boro have been the club most keen.

Julio arca was at boro not javier acuna. chin up

20 Jun 2013 14:05:43
Middlesbrough talking to free agent Jay Bothroyd after his release from QPR.

His wages will be to much for boro, if played in a central role, he is very good but wasted out wide for Sheff weds when on loan last year

Would be a poor signing, he got loaned to the championship and played carp. there's a reason he got released.

We want a proven goal scorer not a want to be rapper.

20 Jun 2013 14:04:52
yeovil looking to sign chelsea youngster daniel pappoe on season long loan spoke to pappoe's agent last night and he comfirmed this

Yeah right

No happening dubbed the new ledley king

The new ledley king? always injured is he?

Already had a serious knee injury that has made him miss a total of a season and a half over the last 2 seasons as it keeps troubling him

20 Jun 2013 14:03:46
Swansea to sign Michy Batshuayi for 3mill

Been turned down

€3 m was turned down but £3m is thought would be enough

Looks like a good youngster. Could be the next benteke?

Hope so

2.5m been turned down, they reckon 3m will do it

We need another belgian in the swans squad. :)

2.5mill

Sign him up FFS. Other clubs have signed plenty of players already and we have only spent £0.4m until now.
I begin to understand Laudrup now.

20 Jun 2013 14:03:12
Lee Miller to sign a 2 year contract after successful talks with Greg Abbott & the Carlisle board this afternoon. Initial 1 year deal upped to 2 in order for him to commit to the Cumbrians.

Josh Gillies to sign 2 year contract tomorrow.

Gateshead are being greedy with the compensation for is being delayed

Miller & Gillies signings to be announced at 10am press conference at Brunton Park on Friday.

Gillies (reluctantly) said he'd be happy to stay if compensation wasn't agreed

Personally i'd rather have Gillies tied down on at least a three year contract, looks very very promising

Not the end of the world if he does not sign - Gateshead loss.

Well its past 10am on friday, I've heard nothing of the sorts

So much for the 10am press conference

20 Jun 2013 13:46:41
Ed is there any truth that reading could sign florent malouda? I know he's after 80,000+ a week and Reading won't pay that {Ed029's Note - Not heard a peep about that one mate. We looked last season though.

21 Jun 2013 15:43:57
god I hope not, ed029- you a reading fan? {Ed029's Note - For my sins.

20 Jun 2013 13:44:53
Nabil Ghilas, brother of former Hull player Kamel Ghilas, has attracted the interest of a few Premier League clubs. The Moreirense striker is followed by Portuguese sides Sporting Clube de Portugal and Pacos de Ferreira, but clubs like West Brom, Crystal Palace and Hull are also interested in the French-born Algerian forward.

In talks with westbrom according to French media

Crud!
We signed the wrong Ghilas!
(Shakes fist in air)
Pfft!

20 Jun 2013 13:43:41
Derby County have contacted Blackburn regarding centre-back Jack O'Connell.

21 Jun 2013 14:03:36
no way

Only on loan they couldn't afford him an there is a lot bigger clubs after him

20 Jun 2013 13:38:39
Hull have agreed a fee with Burnley for Charlie Austin believed to be around 5M

Poor move for Charlie if it happens, i'dhave thought hhe'd want more than 1 season in the prem

No fee agreed yet! BFC rejected 1 at 3.5m now Hull trying with 4m but BFC holding out for 4.5m. They know that is as high as it will go.

UTC

Statement on BFC website: no fee agreed with Hull as they are no way near the valuation

Reading hoping to take the lead over other clubs interested in Austin by offering £5 million in cash up front rising to £7 million in add ons. as it could all be sorted very soon as RFC don't want to create a bidding war.

21 Jun 2013 00:58:45
Seems a bit bizarre that Reading appear to be throwing money around now they are back in the Championship; you think that some of these gambles might have served them better in attempting to stay up in the Premiership in the first place! Likes of Austin would rather go to Hull you would think; even if they go down, if the player is a success it would be a stepping stone to a move to a more established Premier League club.

Charlie Austin is a class act, he will get goals no matter what league he is in, fantastic player who I would have thought is better than Hull FC, no disrespect to them intended

He won't go to another championship club. FACT. Why would he when there are prem clubs interested? {Ed029's Note - I'd be stunned as well. Would only be ££££ if he did.

Reading still think they are prem, why would austin leave for another season in the champ when he could be playing chelsea on the 17th august

According to the Daily Star Hull boss Steve Bruce is planning a £6million move for Gent striker Ilombe Mboyo after missing out on Charlie Austin.

Austin 5m. never

Hull FC are a rugby team pal, please get it right.

You're right, Charlie Austin is better than Hull FC. And besides, he never struck me as having the frame of a Rugby League player.

Hull City AFC however are the perfect club for a young and hungry professional FOOTBALL player.

20 Jun 2013 13:30:35
It's now being reported by various sources that Roberts has signed for Chesterfield today!

Has he? IV not heard anythin! Anyway cook said he wanted to get a left winger who gets you off your seat not one that keeps you glued to it! Poor signing I think IF ITS TRUE

Swindon fan. just about gary roberts he came last season with tremendus pedcree but most of the times failed to live up to things got better towards the end of the season but i think he never really settled at swindon. i think he wanted to move abck north! good player when he wants to be he was on £ 6 or 7 grand at swindon

If he comes to Chesterfield he won't be mate

20 Jun 2013 13:25:00
ben gordon to sign for notts county after pre season tour in finland

Why not before they go

Notts co set to rock league one signing
by signing former stoke city player. and recently retired from international football

Matthew Upson maybe?

Upson, Delap, we wouldn't be able to play there expenses, never mind wages

Its sidibe

Delaperdated

Sidibe would hardly rock league 1 as a signing as he played for tranmere last season.

20 Jun 2013 13:19:30
The Marlon Pack moves to Bradford City have certainitly quietened down? Watch this space!

He is not on Bradford City's radar.

Club say its a non starter

20 Jun 2013 13:15:36
Notts County's attempt to sign Mustapha Dumbuya is getting ever closer, the deal will happen within the next 2 weeks.

2 weeks we need him for pre season starting monday

Mk Dons accept a bid for £600,000 for Gary MacKenzie. Deal to be finalized before Sunday.

By whom? blackpool? I have not heard this

£600K! He's not worth half that. Good physical player and good enough for The Championship but there's better value for money out there.

Hope this is true. good deal for MK Dons 600k for an injury prone guy, his discipline record shocking he is a loose cannon,
Lets hope Robbo gets a good chunk of this money to put back in to a couple of quality of signings. Come on you Dons

"Lets hope Robbo gets a good chunk of this money to put back in to a couple of quality of signings. "

I don't know what happy pills you're taking but keep with them. They clearly work!

That's the funniest, most deluded post I've read in ages! Have you no grasp on reality at all?

The only place that any recouped money is going to is into paying off Winkelman's retail investments and other non-football related things. Invest it in the squad? Joke of the millennium!

:- (

20 Jun 2013 21:57:37
Didn't he just sign a new contract or a contract extension with the club? {Ed003's Note - A fee has been agreed}

I'd happily take 600k for him. Great player but clearly has a lack of commitment towards the club. JT

"Didn't he just sign a new contract or a contract extension with the club?"

He didn't sign anything, the club merely exercised it's one year option. That's not the same as signing a new contract.

It was purely done so he doesn't leave on a free transfer, which would have happened had we not bothered to take up the option. The player has no choice in whether the club takes up that option.

It would have been agreed two years ago when he first signed that the club always had an option of a third year. It's been the same with Williams and Bowditch this summer. Just because they have had their options taken up, doesn't mean they'll definitely stay, it just means we'll get a fee if someone wants them.

OMG people saying winklemen isn't putting money into the club? He's paid most of our debt off! He's paying the rest of it off before we invest in the club. We have a nice stadium, we have a decent team even with selling our players. People don't get that there are cost other than the team on the pitch.

"OMG people saying winklemen isn't putting money into the club? He's paid most of our debt off! He's paying the rest of it off before we invest in the club. We have a nice stadium, we have a decent team even with selling our players. People don't get that there are cost other than the team on the pitch. "

Clearing debt, a nice stadium and a threadbare squad are not the tools to provide promotion. Promotion is what the club needs. We're going nowhere fast with our squad slowly shrinking, no sign of players being brought in, and what seems to be a policy of "loans & kids".

:- (

Winkelman IS putting money into the "club". But it's the "SQUAD" that needs the financial attention. Teams don't get promoted based on their stadium (ours is like a morgue most of the time!). We need more players, better players and cover for the inevitable string of injuries and suspensions which always plague us. Our starting IX is good (while it lasts) but we suffer more than other teams when we lose anybody.

It's a total disgrace for Peter to expect promotion when we can hardly fill the flippin' bench!

:- (

Its a discrace you lot think we can actually afford players, you heard of the fair play? yeah this means we have nothing to spend, this stadium isn't even owned by mk dons we play in it but its actually for more then just football we're holding the rugby world cup ffs, its a multi use music councert football stadium, he's cleared our debts we wouldn't of cleared them if we went out spending money on players we do not have, just shut up its a slow process.

The holding company owns the club, the stadium, the arena and the hotel. The holding company is owned by Peter Winkelman. Therefore it is ALL the SAME entity. The stadium has a restrictive clause attached which means it has nil value and will always be attached to the football club.

Secondly, the 60% fair play cap has nothing to do with the amount spent on buying players and paying agent fees. It only relates to player wages.

Finally, the holding company has reduced its debt from approximately £25million down to £5million in less than 10 years.

MK Dons are in the extraordinary position of being nearly debt free, with a world class stadium and associated revenue streams.

Patience is a virtue

". just shut up its a slow process. "

Nice to know you're happy to see the club tread water ad infinitum. The Winkelman devotees club is alive and well judging by you anyway.

Get used to perennially making up the numbers in the third (or possibly the fourth) tier because that's where we're staying if "Saint" Peter has his way.

:- (

"Patience is a virtue"

So is promotion. Not much sign of that though, is there?

Now Ryan Lowe is gone too. Slowly the squad is disintegrating.

Who'll be next?

:- (

I'd raI'd rather us be in the situation were in than spend money that we haven't got and end up like Portsmouth other Covertry. We've only been around 10 years, started off ewith a **** load of debt and we've won the jpt and promotion from league 2? I'm happy with that? O don't want my club run into the ground like most owners do?

So you want us to spend money we don't have end up in admin? so clever you lot know nothing about business.

You are missing my point sir. I have no problem whatsoever with financial prudence and building good foundations. But you can't do that AND achieve promotion on a shoestring at the same time. Winkelman's approach has been cautious, I know that, and he's right to be that way. But then if his priority is financial stability, particularly in the near future, then any ambitions and hopes of promotion should be put on hold and shelved until the finances to allow squad investment are in place. If he or the club as a whole came out and said as much then fine, I could accept that. But the spin he puts on it is that he's expecting promotion every season, and expresses his disappointment when it doesn't come. If he's so disappointed then he should prioritise any funding towards building a squad capable of delivering promotion and coping with injuries & suspensions. Otherwise, stop expressing that disappointment and say that promotion is not the priority and that there is no pressure/expectation to achieve it.

READ THE ABOVE! REPEATEDLY!

Walsall have offered a John Rooney a trial.

20 Jun 2013 12:55:20
Scott Parker (Spurs), Garry Hooper (Celtic) and James Chester (Hull) all to Southampton

Parker doesn't really fit with our policy on buying players. we tend to buy young, and for the future. Parker's a great player but can't see him coming. God only knows where Hooper is going, every club under the sun seemingly linked with him. Chester would fit our policy best but this is a new rumour I think so no idea!

Not a chance.

Nope, Maybe and definitely not

Ha ha ha, maybe and who knows

20 Jun 2013 15:51:45
Considering chester is signing a 3-4 contract to stay at hull

In other made up stories, Cortese has built a time machine and is to sign 20 year old Pele, Moore & Maradona.

Lmao chester don't think so

Saints will not be signing any of these players in my opinion!

Hope so.

My bet is all of them will not happen!

Nonsense!

Total lies. Hull not going to be selling Chester, nor Spurs Parker. Celtic probably will loose Hooper but I doubt we are his likely destination with the Cortese transfer policy.

Parker would be a good signing but Poch is raiding abroad (Banega, Wanyama). Hooper would be a good signing but again I don't think Poch is interested and his asking price will be way too much. No need to sign chester because we already have Lovren, Forren, Hooiveld and Fonte (out of Fonte or Hooiveld being sold).

Hope parker and hooper come but chester is dreadful.

LLLOOOOLLLL! No way mate.

You make it sound like its definite. Source?

If anyone is going to sign outta them 3 it's Hooper

Chester staying put

If these happened it would probably be the most anti climatic set of signings in the history of saints!

None of these will get in our team so not happening. Wanyama could be possible

Chester will not go are you having a laugh not unless you offer 8mil I bet

What you been smoking?

We were linked once with hooper now we are every window apprently

Chester is class.

We will be linked with Owen again at this rate!

20 Jun 2013 12:51:18
Is the signing of Josh Gillies going ahead or is it dead in the water?

20 Jun 2013 12:42:59
Having just missed out in Akpo Sodje, signed for Crawley, Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore is setting a deal up to bring Sligo Rangers hot-shot Anthony Elding to Prenton Park.

Never heard of Sligo Ranger's mate, I think you mean Rover's.

Fc dallas defender zach Lloyd looms set to join crawley on a 2 year deal the player is currently training with the side and crawley appear to be very interested in signing him keep your eyes on the one as Lloyd could be a crawley player in the next week

When did Akpo sign for crawley I'm a supporter and know he ain't sighed where did you here that

20 Jun 2013 19:23:09
When did Akpo sign for crawley

20 Jun 2013 22:13:52
Where on earth are you getting your information I'm linked to the crawley training ground I work there Zach loyd don't make me laugh his never stepped foot at our training ground who told you that ha ha

Might as well have said crawley are about to sign messi because that's how realistic your rumours are!

If you worked with crawley you would know zach Lloyd from fc dallas is going to join this was the player Richard low was talking about so I don't believe you work with crawley look on the net an you will see he wants to join crawley

Barker is in Turkey looking for new players he looks set to wrap up a deal with galatasaray for a young striker

20 Jun 2013 12:42:33
Blackpool set to spend some of the Ince transfer cash on Albert Adomah of Bristol City - likely to be around 1. 5M
In addition negotiations are taking place about a young Cardiff player going to Bloomfield Road on loan

Where is Ince going?

Albert will not be joining a northern team which he has stated. He wants to stay in the south. BCFC

20 Jun 2013 19:42:31
Adomah will sign for whoever matches BCFC valuation and who offers him the most lucrative deal whether that be North South East or West so wise up mate

And how much have Blackpool got for the Ince transfer 'something that hasn't happened yet' AA won't be joining Blackpool Oysten doesn't like paying the wages required to get the better players that's why the managers have to go out and find their own gems.

Adomah is not good enough! League 1 at best! Too lightweight and certainly not in anyway worth 500k! Not a chance!

Who ever wrote that comment above mine, your a funny fella aren't you? Me and the majority of championship club fans hated seeing this guy on the team sheet against us! 500k I happily pay 2 million for him! Zaha is not more than 5 times as good as him! No way!

Have you renewed your S/T for City this season?
You must be a regular to have such insight into one of our players!

NOT

Albert will get plenty of offers before the season starts and someone will buy him.

If Blackpool sell Tom Ince for the £5m-7m that people are quoting then they will definetly have the clout to make AA a very tasty offer.

League 1 for a year, or Championship again, knowing that Blackpool have a history of selling thier top players every season?

I think they would look very attractive if you don't get a chance to go directly in to the Premier League.

Where is tom ince going though?

Frank fielding and derek williams expected to sign but think JET will be too expensive and can't see myrie-williams coming back even though its been said he will be pre season training with bristol city.

Myrie-Williams will not be training at City. He's been taking part in a Bristol based training programme with other footballers from around the country. Nothing at all to do with training with BCFC.

20 Jun 2013 12:18:44
John Bostock, who was recently released by Spurs, is in Canada trying to secure a permanent deal with Toronto. The 21-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan with the MLS club, and it is thought they would be interested in taking him back.

20 Jun 2013 14:42:31
The sent him packing early, he did not impress. In fact quite the opposite, his attitude and lack of application were major factors and I doubt this has changed

20 Jun 2013 16:04:24
He was on season long loan at swindon town last season haha

20 Jun 2013 21:14:27
We had at brentford a few years back on loan. Scored twice on debut and nothing after. Too much smoke blown up arse over the years - will be in non league befor too long.

20 Jun 2013 12:07:28
Bristol city will be signing the following all before the start of the season:
-frank fielding, derby, 200k
-Jennison myrie williams, port vale, 100k
-Jet, ipswich, 200k
-Derrick williams, aston villa, 100k

JET for 200k haha

You won't get JET for 200,000. We paid over a million for him and he's wirth at least 500k still. Plus I doubt he'd go to a team in league 1 now.

Sorry but JET won't be going there, not a single chance of that.

You definitely won't get JET for 200k and he isn't going to drop down a division.

Jet for 200k, lol add 500k on top of that!

itfcBEN

JET will go for way more than 200k and won't drop down a division.

Jet will cost you more than 200k and more wages than you can afford

No chance JET will go down to league 1, and definitely not for that price

No chance of jet going to Bristol, let alone for £200,000. he not going to go anywhere to play in div 1.

Myrie-Williams is not going anywhere. Bristol had him and did not persevere with him; at Vale Mickey Adams puts up with the frustrating parts of his game (beat the same man six times) for the flashes of the marvellous and different. Plus he works hard for a winger, is popular with the taem and can turn defence into attack.

I think JMW unlikely as we released him as a kid

This is laughable. Cardiff have enquirer about him though and apparently Brighton are also considering making a bid.

Jeno for 100K! Worth more than that in my eyes, will fit in better to League One Football

Why would they buy Jennison Myrie Williams because they released him about 3-4 seasons ago

I doubt if this was done by a BCFC fan as JET is out of our wage structure in the division we are in and the vast majority of our fans know that

People's valuations of players are ridiculous! More than 200k for that price of rubbish! And that Williams that were after Would be a free with compensation in about a weeks time when his contract ends! And the Jeno rumour is just because he was pictured marathon training with bobby Reid!

Once again JET the dangerous 5 goal a season man for 1million/700k is just stupid!

As for JMW I haven't heard much about him since he left us, but to suggest that because we let him go 4 years ago we won't buy him back is odd.

Remeber we have had 5 new managers since then, and replaced nearly the whole team. The club that let him go is very different now, the only thing that remains is the location, if he is a Bristol boy he may well want a chance with the club that didn't give him one before.

Who knows? but the reasons being thrown around on here don't seem logical ones?

We need a big solid centre back to partner richard keogh at the bac. someone like mike williamson or richard dunne and a left back like cunningham or jack robinson

21 Jun 2013 13:19:33
A lot of the Ipswich fans I know seem to suggest that JET would be allowed to leave for nearly nothing as he is not wanted and is on a huge wage.

Some even saying that he should be "paid off" to make it an easier decision for him.

I am not sure who keeps making the rumour that he may come to Bristol City is, but I wouldn't want to pay for him if Ipswich are so keen to get rid of him, and frankly if they're not keen to ditch him we won't get him.

Is jet even a good player he's played 70 games and scored 8 goals as a striker that seems poor just saying

JET is a winger, not a striker and has been sub most games. I believe he will be allowed to go on the cheap as he has one year remaining and on a large wage, it's not so much that we need to sell him for large money, we just need him off the wage bill entirely.

20 Jun 2013 11:58:46
Shwan Jalal, Bournemouth keeper, to join afc wimbledon on free transfer

Would be a fantastic signing, but I really can't see it happening unfortunately.

Has a year left on his contract & would expect some league 1 & 2 clubs would be interested so I can't see how we'd get him for free. but would love it if Ardley can pull it off!

No chance won't leave for free loan maybe. Big AR

One jalal is far better than wimbeldon, 2 he is very close to being numer 1 at bournemouth and 3 why would bournemouth let him go being there 2nd keeper

Jalal is looking for first team football and Bournemouth would let him go as they have three potential first choice keepers. This move is unlikely though, as I don't think Shwan would want to drop below League 1 and AFCB would want a fee.

21 Jun 2013 14:33:11
Well this one is now dead in the water as we've just signed goalie Ross Worner, previously of Charlton and Aldershot.

Just signed keeper Ross Worner so that's wrong

Bournemouth offered DF a new contract and Eddie is keen for him to get a go for the team, he is a poor keeper and not a touch on Jalal but Jalal has been longing for move away since 1st team football has not been assured

20 Jun 2013 12:16:03
Looks like Steve Clarke is looking to young talent to bolster his squad as I have heard he is looking to bring in Nathan Redmond from Birmingham £2-3mill and and Andy King from Leicester £3-4mill. Both have real potential to shine in PL.

Don't get fooled by those players, specially King.

20 Jun 2013 12:36:43
David Worrall has signed from Bury for Rotherham today

20 Jun 2013 12:32:19
Sheffield Wednesday will annoice their 1st 2 summer signing in the next couple of weeks, the players will be.

Ivan Krstanovic - Free
Seyi Olifinjana - Free

also looking into the possibility of signing Sean St. Ledger which is looking unlikely to happen and Leroy Lita after a successful second half of the season on loan last seasn.

20 Jun 2013 11:56:16
West Brom are leading the chase for free agent Yossi Benayoun. Southampton were interested, but have pulled out of a potential deal.

As I west brom fan I've got to say I don't want him, 33 years old and I've never particularly liked him, high wages plus he will take away dorrans chance to shine

No, Saints weren't

Good Response, Dorrans needs the chance to play behind the striker and show the class of 2009/10

Saints have never been interested in Banayoun

20 Jun 2013 22:24:23
Got a feeling Benayoun would be brought in to play out wide.

Too true Dorrans needs to get to play behind the striker but unfortunately it seems Clarke doesn't want to play him there as Gera or Morrison have always filled that spot and when both were out he changed the formation instead of slotting Dorrans in, unfortunately I think he might end up moving on which in my opinion would be a massive loss to the club.

20 Jun 2013 12:23:40
Maiga and £2m to Celtic for Gary Hooper

Very strong gossip true rumours from unknown

20 Jun 2013 12:21:36
Plymouth have signed ruben reid on season long loan ho p e he can find the form he showed for Rotherham.

Thats not a rumour

We still need a goalscorer.

I wonder if this "Rumour" will come true?

21 Jun 2013 07:44:21
I think that Reid would be a good signing if we had a goalscorer upfront with him, Such As Dani Lopez Or Rene Howe if we could get them!

20 Jun 2013 12:05:13
Sheffield united looking at Fabian Brady and David goodwillie also 2 defenders from the premier league

20 Jun 2013 12:34:08
Brady yes, Goodwillie no. There is no chance in hell we'll be able to afford his wages. We're having to cut our overall wages, no increase it.

Who is this ija he thinks he knows everything?

20 Jun 2013 11:43:40
Carlos Tevez and 15 million will be offered to AC Milan in a swap deal for Stephen El Shaarawy.

Tevez and Balotelli back together

20 Jun 2013 11:33:09
Leicester striker will join Leeds United for £2m, whilst Jermaine Beckford has now agreed to join Bolton after agreeing to take a cut in wages.
Leicester will use the cash to sign Sylvain Ebanks-Blake on a free transfer & James Vaughan from Norwich for £500K.

Which leicester striker would that be son?. jimlcfc

Which Leicester striker?!

If you go for Vaughan, you'd have to be favourites. Can see why you would with all the strikers you currently have though. He'd cost you more than £500k though.

Leeds unfortunately will not spend £2 million on any player.

If this is true as a norwich fan I would be disappointed, why would we sell Vaughan for 500k, I would rather give him a chance in the first team, could only see Vaughan going in a swap deal with Blackburn or Birmingham for either Martin Olson, Jordan Rhodes or Nathan Redmond

LOL Jordan Rhodes for Vaughan?! Who are you kidding?!

Have Liecester got a striker worth 2m? Get real.

He means part of a swap deal so money will be involved as well.

20 Jun 2013 11:29:45
Andy Bishop is keen to sign for Wrexham, as he was in talks with Morrell and Don Bircham yesterday

Please take him.

20 Jun 2013 19:42:42
I will drive him there, he was born offside

20 Jun 2013 11:15:15
Tindalli (Dutch international) to sign 2 year deal with Swansea city next week

De Guzman (Dutch international) to sign 3 year deal with Swansea City next week following his 7M transfer from Villarreal

Baftimbi Gomis (French international) to Sign 3 year deal with Swansea city following his 8. 5M transfer from Lyon

Jordan Rhodes and Andreas Cornelius also in the mix to be coming to the Liberty stadium for 3-5 million each, can't see both so one of them is likely to be challenging Gomis.

Also a young Spanish centre back from Espanyol for around 2 million.

Canas is in the bag, (fee paid in January of about 1 Million to ensure we had his services)

The only possible exit is Captain Ash but that is now looking unlikely.

So approx. 21M in transfer fees spent, (4 internationals signed, previous transfer fee exceeded twice!, no sales! what's all the panic about!

Onwards and upwards for the BEST team in Wales

WHO ARE WE?

Wrexham?

Forgot to add that Redmond also looking like a done deal from Birmingham City for around 2.5 million on a three year contract.

Lita, Moore, look like casualties, Gower already gone.

Obeng, sittu, Donnely, Edwards Loveridge amongst the Promising younger players that will be sent out on season long loans in league 1 to conference. Richards will probably be in squad until christmas and then out on loan pending on how first three-four months go

"WHO ARE WE?" Judging by your post, easily excited and pleased.

Canas was on a free

Sound like pozuelo and batshuayi are strong possibilities too

This sounds good but £21m? I don't think we will spend that much but hey. anything is posible. I really want Gomis though! If he does want to leave I think he will choose Cardiff over Swansea.

Jacks living above their station the main team in Wales are back now, RedTits!

20 Jun 2013 14:44:41
3 to 5 million for Rhodes. Oh please Blackburn paid 8 million for him last season and he has 4 years left of a 45k a week deal. No chance

20 Jun 2013 14:46:17
swansea won't spend this much as the board don't trust L's judgement, expect very little signings

20 Jun 2013 15:13:17
This be the same cornelius that has already signed for villa? Relagation for Swansea

JACK ARMY

That would be Andreas Cornelius who is a Danish international who plays for FC Copenhagen

Canas was a free but the payment was made to betis as a Good will gesture to ensure he signed for Swansea. most people new about that deal since January

Cornelius has not signed for Aston Villa. That is another player

20 Jun 2013 16:37:45
This is the Premiership League not a Fantasy League. Huw Jenkins will never spend that much.

Redtits you said it

Helenius signed for villa

I MEANT HE (Gomis) WOULD CHOOSE SWANSEA OVER CARDIFF. Jack army til I Die!

We spent at least £15 million last season, so all this "we won't spend this much" is rubbish as it isn't that much more

I think it's feasible that Jenkins and the board could spend 20M in transfers. we'll see though eh.

Realistic transfer list and strategy.

Swans will spend 20 mil easy there's more than enough cash to spend, cornelius is a quality striker but would cost more than 3-5

20 Jun 2013 11:18:57
Blackpool set to sign Gary McKenzie after agreeing a fee

In the next 24 hours

Spoke tonight at devere herons reach Blackpool! Done deal

Finally a decent player

Done deal. currently we only have 3 defeenders on the books

Still no action?

20 Jun 2013 11:16:52
Graham Turner is looking to bring Theo Robinson (Derby County), Bobby Grant (Rochdale) and John Cofie (recently released by Manchester United) to Shrewsbury, as Robinson and Grant are available for cut prices as they are up for sale, and Cofie is a free agent.

Liam Boyce has rejected a move to Shrewsbury in favour of a higher league Scottish team and Bournemouth's asking price for Matt Tubbs was too high.

None of the above names will be signing for Shrewsbury. ALL will either command a hefty fee and/or a salary that will exceed the amount that the Shrews will want to pay.

I really don't think that Shrewsbury have the finances to strike such deals.

20 Jun 2013 20:36:37
John Cofie?. will he be walking the 'Green Mile'?

Theo would be on a decent wack at Derby. Can't see him going to the shrews.

Is John Cofie a "big target man"?

20 Jun 2013 11:15:01
AS Roma will try and sign goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as a replacement for Maarten Stekelenburg. Arsenal are believed to have turned their attentions to Julio Cesar meaning the Italian club are now front runners. Chelsea may also move for Begovic but it is believed Asmir wants to be guaranteed first choice.

20 Jun 2013 11:12:36
Huddersfield Town about to announce their first two major signing for new season. Michael Higdon (current Scottish player of the year ) and out of contract at Motherwell.
David Goodwilie on a free from Blackburn Rovers is expected to be paraded alongside Higdon in the newly launched kit this afternoon. This is the start of at least 5 new players to be unveiled before the new season.

Can't see us paying Goodwilie's wages. Local rag said we want 5 before the season starts so that isn't very ground breaking!

Kit has already been launched!

Can't see Goodwillie being on our transfer list, we turned him down last season, going back to Scotland isn't he?

Higdon might just make it at a championship level, out of contract so on a free but aren't Barnsley in the frame to sign him? Big step up from Scottish football where he has spent most of his playing career. Might be the battering ram for Vaughan?

Why would we sign Goodwille when he wouldn't get into another championship team, Higdon only good enough for League 1 level. Vaughan and Jackson should be priority signings

Wake up laddy I think Deano's got something to say to you

In early September at least you will be back at school

No one is really amused

With your stupid words that are being used

Oh laddy you couldn't have lied any more

But soon we got Harry's team at home

and you'll be the sado sat home alone

You know nowt

and that's because you're a twerp

Hope goodwillie is not true, he's useless

Hope not Goodwillie, he can't seem to stay out of trouble with the law

Barnsley put in a offer about 2 week ago. I think there's a few offers from championship sides. I'd love to see this guy at the reds next season, I definitely think he could make an impact would be a decent signing to go with the ones we've made already

Goodwillie is probably a Blackburn started rumour hoping they can knock something off the dosh they still owe for Rhodes.

Jay bothroyd set to sign for huddersfield town after being released by QPR today.

Just the 1 - if we get a dozen we will no longer have to dream of a team full of bothyroyd's

Doesn't fit policy

Nothing heard from Higdons agent at Barnsley since contact made a fortnight ago, might be something in this for Town

20 Jun 2013 11:03:02
West ham pay £15m for Andy Carroll which is a huge statement of the clubs ambition but does he have a clause in his contract should Hammers get relegated. The reason I say this is that the last they got relegated Hull were promoted, they finished 10th the season before and they paid out for Demba Ba. Too Many coincidences. Get ya money on hammers for relegation NOW

You don't know what you're talking about, west ham are a completely different team with better chairman and manager now than we did back there! West ham to stay up and push for Europe in the next couple of seasons

WHU will not flatter. But there are far worse teams in the Premier. One of which will be down by Xmas.

I was wearing boxer shorts the day they signed Ba and I was wearing them yesterday as well. It must be true.

I suspect (hope) they might have learnt from that.

West Ham, Hull and Newcastle to be relegated.

Demba Ba was signed in January for half a million, with the team already in trouble, what other coincidences are there between the two deals?

michael appleton is leading the race to becom the new u21 manager after roy hodgson confirmed he is his preffered choice. hodgson had appleton as an assistant at wba and with england already appointed wba sporting directoer dan ashworth the deal looks likely to be done. {Ed029's Note - How many jobs will that be inside 15 months? He could sell snow to Eskimos.

20 Jun 2013 11:40:50
if the fa thought pearce was not
good enough
they are in for a hell of a
surprise if appleton
gets the job
what has he ever done
oh got the record for being at
most clubs in a season
and done nothing

Having watched the way he had Blackburn playing, over not through midfield, can't say I'd be impressed.

hull city have agreed a 2.5 million fee with birmingham city for defender curtis dabies and have also held talks with carlton coles representatives over a potential move for the striker.

Hull City agreed £2. 25m not £2. 5 for Curtis Davies (sigh)

wba are hoping to land chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu on loan.

Hull to complete following signings within next week:

Allan McGregor £1.8m
Ahmed El Mohamady £2m
Charlie Austin £4m
Gary Hooper £5m

I don't think we will be signing Gary Hooper but the other 3 are very likely! UTT

Well that certainly would account for the £10-15mil budget that had been mentioned.

I think we'll only get one of Austin or Hooper and recent noises suggest that Austin had a medical yesterday with us ahead of a £4mil move.

Is there any news on who might be on their way out, EDs?

Predicting a double figure victory for Bristol then lol

Its as close to a glamour friendly as we can hope to get, but its not like they're the side they were 2 or 3 years back.

It will surly be a sell out, just on the amount of Scots that will invade BS3.

Daily Mirror writer based in Lancashire has told of Derby showing interest in for Blackburn Defender Scott Dann - 'approach' was rejected by Blackburn officials.

Good player, will cost too much though!

Derby couldn't afford his left boot. I live in derby and a rover fan and I know clough has not got the budget

20 Jun 2013 10:13:13
Jose Antonio Reyes could be on his way back to the premiership with West Ham United and Southampton both interested

Do be serious

If true this could be an interesting signing he only ever played 4games fof Chelsea and was only about 19 at the time so I wouldn't know what to expect from him now

We should sign Keisuke Honda on a free, watched him in confederations cup and he was outstanding. CSKA Moscow aren't renewing his contract, so it would make perfect sense to get him. He would suit our style of play aswell! COYR!

20 Jun 2013 14:21:09
^^^^ he played for arsenal

Is that the same Reyes who left Arsenal on his first stint in England because he was homesick for Spain?
Too old so Saints wouldn't sign him, but no way he would leave Spain.
No doubt Sam would like to sign another expensive aging has been though

20 Jun 2013 15:04:04
*facepalm* ^^ he played for Arsenal, and played about 70 games.

Either way, he's not going to Saints.

He never played for Chelsea, he played for Arsenal playing around 69 league games scoring 16 goals.

He played for arsenal

He played a few more then that at arsnal

Oh behave!

Thought he played for Arsenal?. !

Reyes never played for chelsea, he played almost 70 games for arsenal! I do not believe this is a player we would be interested in seeing he is now 29 and not the player he once was!

He was at arsenal not Chelsea

Didn't he play for arsenal?

He played for Arsenal

I think you have been mistaken. Reyes has never played for Chelsea. Where have you got that information from!

20 Jun 2013 16:56:01
Chelsea? Think you have the wrong man, twas Arsenal he was at for a couple of seasons!

He played for arsenal then real Madrid not chelsea

He played for arsenal

Arsenal and defo played more 4 games and in his 30s now. Never.

? He was an arsenal player? Good signing if true, not great. Bit of a premadonna and would expect massive wages. I personally think he would disrupt the dressing room. To old now too.

To be fair I think the lad were responding to the previous post. Schoolboy mistake. lol.

This poster obviously meant this comment to be under the thread about Stoch! Easy mistake!

I think we have gathered he played for arsenal

Who did he play for

Liverpool will not opt to match Cardiff's £7.8m bid for Blackpool winger Tom Ince paving the way for a potential move to Wales

BluebirdJoe

True but west ham have made late move for ince and he is going to west ham from unknown

We turned down more than that in january

So? He's also got 6 months less on his contract. Honestly.

Yup in January. Its now june and his contract is running down. Time to cash in. You get 8mil and he gets PL football with Cardiff

He has a year contract that BFC just took the option on. wouldn't suprise me he signed another year add on or left in January. One things for sure, he won't be going to Cardiff or Palace or west ham.

Only one bid received and that was turned down. he will sign a contract extension next week.

Tom ince won't stay at blackpool, he is too good for you

He respects blackpool for giving him a platform to build on and won't leave till the end of next season.

blackpool insider

Too good for us just like a number of players we signed when they were as good as unknown and turned into stars

20 Jun 2013 09:25:03

Good luck. absolute waste of space!

Hope not!

Doubt it.

Not if Millwall wants to stay up

Bothroyd going overseas

20 Jun 2013 09:23:16
West ham after any striker on lona now as they have no further funds to buy. Diarra on his way back to France and Ludovic Sane to join West ham for 3.8m euro's. West Ham still desperatley in need of decent LB and RB (and no McCartney and O'Brien are not the answer). Second quality striker will prove difficult also, however, they do have Ravel morrison on his way back who had an outstanding season running the Birmingham midfield

Ravan rat has signed already and danny simpson is on his way

20 Jun 2013 09:19:32
Huddersfield town will confirm the signings of 2 players believed to be James Vaughan and Jamie Paterson by the end of next week.

Did you think of that all by yourself. Take a gold star and put it on the pinboard.

Or maybe before the 3rd round of the FA cup even.

We aren't after paterson anymore, Walsall are being ridiculous with the price they want for him

They'll be the ones looking stupid next season when they've failed in their supposed 'promotion' push' and he leaves for 200k in compensation.

20 Jun 2013 09:07:22
This morning The Sheffield Star have stated that Sam Morsy, Ryan Cresswell and Gary Roberts of Swindon will be signed this week. Roberts will be on vastly reduced terms but on a longer than normal contract. When the Star print things they have generally been told by Chesterfields press office so I expect this to happen and soon could even be today. Fleetwood have offered more for Cresswell but he only wants to play for Chesterfield. This is all on their web site, not my opinion.

As A Southend Fan, I Can Confirm That Cresswell Doesn't Want To Leave To A Specific Club. He Just Wants To Return To The North. Rotherham Is A Possibility, However, Chesterfield Cannot Apply With The Up Front Costs Southend Are Demanding So He Won't Be Going There

20 Jun 2013 11:50:11
Not worried about Roberts leaving STFC was a amjor disappointment last season probably had three good games all season and on big money.
Chesterfield are welcome to him if he was any use he would have more than Chesterfield after him ie more L1 clubs and that to me shows how far his game has gone off.
He definetly has a talent but get a nose bleed when goal is in sight and made some shocking misses last season but when he has a good game he is a class player but i'm afraid three games in a season where he was outstanding isn't good enough.

You can have roberts can you take navarro with him.

It's now been reported that Roberts has signed today!

Sorry to burn your theory RM but as I was out with him last week you are 100% incorrect. CFC is definitely where he wants to come FACT!

RM sorry mate but the stumbling block is the fee only Cresswell is wanting to come to CFC for sure the only problem is Southend now

20 Jun 2013 09:00:25
cardiff will splash the cash on tom ince and matty phillips in a 14 milllion double swoop on blackpool.

No way is Phillips worth 6 mil he's only got a year left like ince!

No way will Cardiff pay that much 10 million max

There's no interest in Phillips anymore, if we capture ince, we've got plenty of choice on the wings.

Both are due to sign new contracts this week

Cardiff City are after Raheem sterling on loan next season.

20 Jun 2013 08:59:06
ex chelsea winger miroslav stoch is set to join southampton

Watched him play he is very good just not sure about his hair.

Heard this too. Also reported to be in a double deal with Wanyama for a fee of 15 million. I think these two signings as well as a cover for RB and LB would complete saints transfer window.

Hope so

Wouldnt bet on this plus cover for lb & rb being our last signings. We haven't even got started with strikers yet!

I don't understand why this is being reported as a double deal when they play for 2 different clubs

When we sign Wanyama we won't need cover for RB, Jack Cork can play there quite comfortably. Another LB is required, Fox is absolutely useless.

20 Jun 2013 08:58:31
southamptn are closing in on the big signing of celtics victor wanayama though wba and westham have shown late interest.

I hate how Southampton fans think they can sign anyone because they signed Rodriguez, Wanyama will go to top 4 club or Inter Milan He's to good for West ham as well. Andrea Pirlo say's he has the potential to become one of the great midfielders of europe, why would he go for a relegation scrap?

20 Jun 2013 15:52:54
they have shown late interest and west hams bid os 10 mill has been agreed so looks like he is going o sign for us come on you irons

Has anyone from either club actually said a fee has been agreed or even contact been made? All paper hype I think

20 Jun 2013 08:57:53
Blackburn look set to pair up striker James Vaughan with Jordan Rhodes next season by selling defender Martin Olsson to Norwich, who will give Rovers cash and Vaughan in part exchange. Rovers hope Rhodes/Vaughan will fire them to promotion. Source: The Sun.

No truth in this whatsoever. Rhodes off to prem league. Vaughan wants to join hudds.

I'm not sure Olsson is worth more than Vaughan anyway. should be them giving us cash and olsson for vaughan!

Don't see the attraction in geting rid of Vaughan. he's fit, scoring etc - keep him.

20 Jun 2013 13:00:18
Would like to see him home BUT would he get a game

20 Jun 2013 15:08:04
I hope not. He is limp, lazy and have a tendency to fall over too easy. Sheffield Wednesday would be a better place for him where Dave Jones can stroke his ego.

He falls over, lazy doesn't chase the ball and for a prem striker doesn't score enough goals enough said

Former Real Madrid winger Royston Drenthe confirms via his Instagram account that he has signed a three-year deal with Reading.

He is set to be announced on Friday at a joint press conference, believed to be accompanied by Southampton striker Billy Sharp who is in Reading today for a medical.

Reading keeper Adam Federici has asked the club for a transfer. Alex McCarthy has overtaken him as the clubs number one, and Federici wants guarenteed first team football. Leicester City are keen to sign the Aussie for approx £1.5m if they do lose Kasper Schmeichel.

Rubbish bout sharp he hates Adkins that just paper talk he has a house in notts still living there.

^^ Billy definitely had a medical for Reading recently (failed earlier this week I believe). Plausible.

^ You're talking rubbish mate, who told you he hates Adkins? Where have you read this? You're just guessing with ill informed knowledge of the situation. He failed a medical last week at Reading so it isn't rubbish.

Saints fan

It's not rubbish though. He failed a medical on Friday and is trying again.

Its not rubbish pal nearly happaned last week wake up

Billy Sharp has confirmed that he hasn't had a medical with Reading and he followed that up by saying he still has 2 years left on his contract with Saints. {Ed029's Note - He did have a medical last Friday. Not sure what's behind the denial. Rumours are he failed the medical.

He did just not sure why he would have a nother medical.

20 Jun 2013 16:25:19
Sharp has said on twitter he has had NO medical at Reading- if he is telling the truth, who was the mystery Southampton player who failed a medical?

He has always had a good relationship with Adkins going back to Sharp's Scunthorpe days.

20 Jun 2013 17:21:40
Bill Sharp has not failed a medical at Reading, he has not had a medical full stop.

It's rubbish! haha

Pretty sure Sharp is not coming he has publicly denied that he has had a medical at Reading today in papers and do we really want him? no better than Alf. would much prefer Hooper or another striker from the continent.

Sharp has confirmed he has not had a medical, according to tv

Ohh yes he has

Billy wouldn't lie about it. Someone has been getting bogus information.

Billy wouldn't lie about it. Someone has been getting bogus information.

Trusting a footballers word. Now that's a new level of innocence

20 Jun 2013 08:26:50
not good news Blackburn have been offered James Vaughan and cash for their left back thank you so much deano for been so late again per usual.

I wish people on this site would stop having a go at dean hoyle. He has done so much for the club with very little personal gain.

Why is not good news? It is for Blackburn and Vaughan who does not want to face another relegation struggle.

20 Jun 2013 09:25:30
Sorry Dean. : (

20 Jun 2013 08:23:06

Eddie Howe wants to finish Bournemouth's summer signings with deals for James Ward Prowse and Danny Ings. Think we need a target man as a different option and another cover at right and left back.

Zubar will be leaving along with Jalal. Thomas could also be sold and Tubbs may move on a loan deal

20 Jun 2013 08:01:35
Hull City are highly interested in signing Ilombe Mboyo from Gent in the Belgian league he scored 20 goals last term and is attracting interest from Anderlecht who will be playing Champions League football this season Gent are quoting £6 million to sign him but are open to negotiations. Hull are also very close to agreeing a deal for Charlie Austin for a reported £4 million deal and Mcgregor is expecting to be announced next week sources the Hull Daily Mail and sources within as I'm a former employee

20 Jun 2013 07:54:07
Just In Tottenham will sign blackpool winger Tom ince in a deal that could be worth up to £17.5 million, the seaside sensation will be loaned back to pool for the season

This is more like it

17.5m! As a Blackpool fan it'd be great to get that for him but we won't.
I do like the idea of a loan back though if he goes to a bigger club

Well on the radio, it states that Cardiff have agreed a fee of 8 million pounds with Blackpool. For his services.

If this is true Paul Ince has to take that offer, not going to find one better

Never listen to what radio says as its always false as well as papers there just rumours

The figure is likely to include the player's contract, I would think.

Well who on earth do we listen to then? that's the whole point of having rumour sites like this and radio, also papers to keep us guessing. Otherwise we may as well just wait for the actual facts to arise, how boring would that be eh?

Its 17. 5 and can rise to 21 millon based on apperances and how succesfully he becomes.

Sounds legit. around his weight in gold. incey bfc we love you

17. 5 ha!

What a load of tosh only one bid made and refused. somebody been playing fantasy manager

20 Jun 2013 07:48:05
Derby and Bristol City have agreed a deal for goalkeeper Frank Feilding, he's expected to sign within the week. -CH

Alister Durdan of tv Bristol and the Evening Post has tweeted that this deal is looking good.

I would say its likely.

20 Jun 2013 07:38:01
Notts county to sign jacques maghoma, Ben Gordon, Bradley wright Phillips and Marcus haber by the end if the week. {Ed029's Note - BWP is in the US closing in on a move to the MLS..

Blackpool after Ben Gordon and New York bulls have bradley training with them, stop making up silly rumours

Note to Ed: You must have misread it. He is coming to US and is heading for the MLSB (Meadow Lane Sports Bar)

This is not going to happen marcus haber is signing for yeovil and Bradley wright Phillips is signing for gillingham the only thing is going to happen is that notts will sign ben gordon

Maghoma is a good shout, could happen

20 Jun 2013 07:19:12
Portsmouth Jed Wallace will be off by the end of next week. His replacement will be Marlon Pack.

20 Jun 2013 08:40:41
Wallace may leave Pompey before the season starts, but Pack will not be signing as we cannot pay any transfer fees, only free transfers and free agents.

Don't think so. as pack would require a fee because he under 25. and we can't buy players.

Absolutely rubbish his still under contract and will play out his contract

20 Jun 2013 06:36:47
Derby have accepted a bid from Bristol city for goal keeper frank fielding

This appears to be an announced fact.

Narrrr lumie

Only that the offer is accepted, he has'nt signed. yet.

20 Jun 2013 05:43:42
Jonjo Shelvey has agreed a move to Swansea and will put pen to paper when he returns from his holiday in the Maldives.

Swansea play attractive football. There is no place for a yard-dog like Shelvey in that set-up.

Interesting rumour but do we need any more midfielders? With Canas confirmed and de Guzman hopefully transferring if the board hurry up and pull their socks up with it!

20 Jun 2013 11:30:33
It's not actually just a rumour, It's a done deal. I know lots of stuff on here is made up. Watch in a couple of weeks.

I would love to see Shelvey here, but I only think he'd be on the bench as he plays michu's role

Shelvey wouldn't get in the starting line up for swans, not even the bench

Swans were offered Shelvey last year as part of the Joe Allen deal and turned him down

Brendan can shove it.

20 Jun 2013 02:01:45
cark jenkinson to derby on loan

No way. I bet he's on about 60,000 a week derby can't afford a tenth of that on a young right back that would only be on loan anyway

Jenkinson will not be on 60k a week, gibbs is on 38k a week and Jenkinson is not on that high a contract 12k more likely but still not a derby target

20 Jun 2013 02:01:19
fielding and o connor to bcfc

20 Jun 2013 01:10:38
Southampton look like there are now in the lead for the race for celtics victor wanyama after beating the rest of the interested clubs to an opening bid, where as a 7.6m pound as been accepted by Valencia for the playmaking argentine ever banega this could be a done deal as close as next week

Why would we sign the both? We don't need Central midfielders all that much anyway.

I really hope both of these things are true. Source?

Really hope this goes ahead, both signings would be good

Why are we looking to sign two cm. we have two great ones. We also ave davis who is very capable. wouldn't mind them but not sure why we need them.

Banega is a no go

I hope this Wanyama rumour is just Agent talk trying to stir up and increase price of his client. If we get Benega for the same price it will be much better as he is so much better technically and well improve our first team whereas Wanyama will just provide competition for Cork and Spider. for 10 million that seems far to much just for competition

We could only need defenders and midfielders in the 4 2 3 1 formation
lallana left or right of the 3
lee left of the 3
mayuka left or right of the 3
gaston left or right of the 3
strikers j. rod/lambert
banega if we get him cdm or cam
davis cm cam
schineiderlin cdm cm
cork cm cdm
ward-prowse cm cam

We could sign both of them and maybe send ward prowse out on loan to get some exp.

Having a glut of midfielders has not exactly hurt Spain or Barca in recent years

The reason why they're looking for more central midfielders is depth. the reason why they're looking for young players is for the long term. Cortese wants Champions League football. If Southampton were to qualify, say, tomorrow, we would be out of our depth trying to keep players fit for all 50-odd games they'd be playing in the Champions League and Premiership alone.

this is preparation for the Champions League and the amount of depth and quality a squad needs to progress without incredible wear-and-tear on the players. Who cares if Schneiderlin and Cork play well together consistently? Does anyone rightfully think they'll both last 60 games without injury? We need cover!

Champions league, dream on

and are taregeting five more signing believed to be:

Denis Cheryshev season loan
Roberto Firmino £5million
Gary Hooper £8 million
Martin Spelmann free

Exciting times if these are true

Gary hooper would do just fine

Martin spelmann would not be free

Fresh reports from Sky Italia suggest Fabbrini, Angella and Faraoni are in their way from Udinese to Watford, though not sure if permanent or as loans. Faraoni confirmed as bought totally today by udinese from Inter in deal that takes Handanovic other way permanently. Entirely possible Merkel could be next if Udinese win blind auction against Genoa tomorrow. Ranegie also still on the cards.

Angella may not be joining Watford. He believes the English game does not suit his.

Angella has signed on a perm for Watford.
