For the post about Liverpool being chased by a British/Irish Consortium.

It is mostly false. The only British consortium of the type after Liverpool is Christian Purslow's very own MidOcean Finance, who have lent the club money to avoid them from going into administration in the summmer.

Any true plymouth argyle rumours ?

Of course Rodwell was happy, he had just passed the audition in front of Sir Alex. Why do you think United are so keen to push Vidic out of the club. He keeps saying he wants to stay and yet the stories about him going keep appearing in the papers especially the MEN knowing that if Sir Alex doesn't like a story in the paper, he bans you from the ground. He has obviously been told that if he wants to buy then he has to sell. Pity that the spud faced nipper let the emotion of going back to Everton get to him, if he had stuck that chance away in the first half when he rounded the keeper it would have been all over. My contact at Everton is still 100% confident that the deal will go through for the club to be sold. Negotiations are at an advanced stage. RAINFISHTROMBONE

I agree with the Rodwell to Man Utd rumour – maybe a World Cup spot in Fabio's team too?

Also, know it's wrong to advertise on here (so hope Mr. Editor person doesn't slap me too hard for this..) but

There's a group on Facebook, which has been created by a friend of mine, looking for people interested in starring in an unoffical video for England's World Cup Campaign this summer.

The group is called 'Record A Song For England – World Cup 2010'.

A rumour of my own – Lincoln's Sam Clucas will join Corby Town ( you really wanted to know that!)

Rangers are linked with Rennes striker Jimmy Briand but will only be signed if Kris Boyd leaves.

Boyd will consider extending his contract if Walter remains as manager.

The exodus from Pompey starts on Monday.

It's a race against time to save the club!

Six leaving by Tuesday MANY more to follow, the hope is any parachute money (£50m) will pay off debts and that we can erase any remaining debt next season.

Big rumour going around that atleast 10 premiership teams, manu chelsea arsenal lpool citeh spurs everton villa fulham and sunderland have all offered anderlect(spelling) £5million for the young 16 yr old striker they have who has been doing very well in the league.

20 Feb 2010 14:20:33
Even though Rangers posted healthy profits the club is still massivly in debt, total around the £70m mark with £30m just to the bank. Money will be very tight at Rangers for 5 seasons unless a buyer is found. This is still unlikely as Murray wants £65m for his shareholding and the bank will also need thier money too. A big outlay for any scottish team.

Rangers will focus on developing youth players and selling them on once they are deemed profitable. Free transfers will also be utilised by Rangers as transfer fees will not be sanctioned by the bank.

20 Feb 2010 13:41:49

Club officials have held contract talks with Dutch striker Glynor Plet.

20 Feb 2010 11:12:35
It is likely in the summer that mogga won't sign keane on a pernament deal but will go for ishmael miller of west brom or even a sneaky bid for mcfadden
celtic should also be signing sean st.ledger of preston and ramis of real mallorca
if celtic dnt get braafied on a pernament deal they will go for hearts lee wallace in a 2–3mil deal
kamara will sign on as he loves working with mogga

rangers will announce billy davies as their new gaffer as watty has not signed a contract and likely to leave will be boyd, boughy, mcgregor and possbly davis, wilson and fleck
rangers will look to get a few loan deals in

20 Feb 2010 11:19:18

Liverpool Summer 2010

GK: No one really needed in that department with Reina the first goalie with Diego and Gulasci behind him

DF: Rafa wants two more additions to the squad with a new centre back and left back required. Martin Skrtel will move on for £9m, and that money will fund Diego Godin's move to Anfield for £8m. Fabio Aurelio also wants to move back to Brazil to be with his family as his contract runs out at the end of the season. Taye Taiwo from Marseille is their number one target and has favoured Liverpool in past interviews, so a £14m move could well happen.

MD: Albert Riera will be on his way back to Spain after the World Cup for around £11m to Atletico Madrid. So Rafa intends on buying Juan Mata from Valencia for around £23m as Liverpool's big move for the summer. Nothing else will happen.

ST: Pacheco will play a more prominent role in the side next season and Babel will stay. Milan Jovanovic will sign for free to boost Liverpool's striking forces for next season.

Spent =£45m

Heart Of Midlothian Football Club–Jim Jefferies is close to agreeing deals for Peter Leven, Gary Mcdonald and Daniel Bogdanovic. The club is also in negotiations with Everton for striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Manchester City.

Cooke, Marwood, Manager, Coach and Players are all at each others throats, the latest signing Johnson was instructed by Marwood 12months ago this was refused by Hughes but Marwood has finally got his way Mancini is fuming with interference, The player revolt has destroyed the moral within causing total confusion.

We make a 13m profit BUT the debt stays the same something stink at ibrox.Couple of questions for mr johnston 1)Who own ibrox and murray park –US OR SDM
2)According to balance sheet we still have £41m of liablities on top of £31m of debt, come clean and say our overall debt is over £70m, stop the press leaks about the rubbish someone want us for £18m come off it a stadium and training ground valued at over £110m and a pool of players (£25m), £70m of debt and that before we know what MURRAY wants for his shares ALL FOR £18M DONT THINK SO

20 Feb 2010 09:20:43
United planning a summer swoop for Ronaldinho. £35 million bid will be offered for him.

Real Madrid have told both Inter and AC Milan that if they are still interested in Karim Benzema they can have him for a staggering £18 million as Benzema has failed to impress at Madrid. United will try a 18 million euro bid for him to snatch him away from Inter/AC Milan. The £18 million that Madrid receive for him will be put towards a 40 million euro bid for David Villa.

Koptalk website is claiming that a group of British/Irish people are interested in buying out LFC.. I can tell you now that they won't buy out LFC.
1. Gillet/Hicks won't accept any bid this year. They sold an american hockey club to raise money for LFC and their debt.
2. Great Britian has only just come out of the recession which was the worst one in 30 years plus. The recession as everyone knows effected every single person in some way.

So.. Liverpool won't be getting £100 million to spend in the summer and they won't be signing Villa, Ronaldo, Drogba, Fabregas, Messi & Rooney!!

Darlington are signing 30 year old striker Gifton Noel–Williams on a free transfer.

It is hoped that the former Watford and Stoke City striker can score the goals to keep Darlington in the football league.

Joe Hart is not going Arsenal, He will spend another season on loan at Birmingham City. Birmingham have made an approach to buy him but this was politely knocked back by man city but have said that he can go on loan again to blues as man city have recognized that Birmingham have ipproved his game. (This was posted on sky sports).

Does anybody know where shabani nonda's going as he's a free agent?

Chelsea Summer 2010:

GK: Cech appears over his earlier difficulties however if he slips again expect a move for Akinfeev, who is part of Chelsea's long term plans anyway, will probably come to PL soon but not with Chelsea, loaned to minor club (Sunderland, Stoke etc)

DEF: Most likely out, Ferreira, Belletti and Alex. Alex will probably form part of a move for Ribery or Schweinsteiger. Likely arrivals appear to be Newcastle Utd's Steve Taylor and Neven Subotic, outside chances are Dani Alves and Juan Manuel Vargas, both would be quality signings though.

MID: Most likely out, Deco, Malouda maybe Joe Cole and Michael Ballack as well, though these are less likely. Ribery is probably going to RM, but we are still a chance, Alex therefore will likely form part of a swap for Schweinsteiger. David Silva and Mata are both possibilities, particularly if Joe Cole goes, the possibility of Villa at Chelsea as well may tip the scales in our favour ahead of Man U. RVDV could be a cheap AM option, if Hamsik goes to Inter he's probably in, we'll wait and see how Dzagoev and Pjanic continue to develop. Milos Krasic, Angel di Maria and Urreta are all options for the Left side with Zhirkov and Kakuta (Malouda leaving), di Maria and Krasic or di Maria and Urreta as the later pair are also back up options up front (ala how we occasionally use Joe Cole). Thiago Alcantara will be competed for (versus Man U) as will Gai Assulin (versus Arsenal). Kaka is an outside chance he's unhappy at Real and Carlo is an old mate of his, while Shaktar's big winter signing Alex Teixeira, the best player in Egypt last year is a seriously good prospect to take up where deco left off.

FWD: Pato or Aguero, we need a young forward who is a proven scorer, Pato would be preferable due to the Ancelotti connection, but we've been consistently linked to Aguero…either would be fine and wouldn't be needed until Anelka goes, that could be this summer, I'd personally prefer next one though, so Pato/Aguero could have 12 months more at their respective clubs. I can't see both coming, well at least not at the moment, a future attack comprising Pato, Aguero and Lukaku is salivation worthy though.

The all important 2nd/3rd Striker which we really lack at present, sell Kalou, though not to any EPL clubs, Barca were apparently interested in him not long ago, that would be fine. Villa would be great, imagine him up front with Drogba, El Nino would be better still given his age and PL experience but it really requires LFC not to qualify for the Champions League if we want him, we also have to fend off Citeh bids. Pazzini is also a possibilty but he seems more interested in Juve than Chelsea. Bafetimbi Gomis is also known as little Drogba, enough said. Nilmar is now starting for Brazil but is really only the 3rd striker at Villareal, he'd be easy to tempt away.

The youth striker. We already have Sturridge, Borini, Kakuta, di Santo and Miroslav Stoch for the future up front, add Pato or Aguero and the only thing missing is a Drogbalike, like Romelu Lukaku, he is killing in the Belgian league, he's only 16 he's 6ft 3 and his favorite team is Chelsea, he must come to the Bridge!

Word is that RM have signed Sergio Canales up on a six year deal, but we could also consider bring Iker Muniain or Isco to the Bridge, but they would probably force out di Santo (toss up).
