01 May 2013 23:03:51
Possible Preston ins:
-Steven Schumacher (Bury)
-Lee Novak (Huddersfield)
-Marvin Morgan (Shrewsbury - Free)

Outs:
-Chris Beardsley - Stevenage
-Chris Robertson - Rotherham
-Andy Procter - Accrington Stanley

Preston will also sign loanee Paul Connolly on a permanent basis and get Declan Rudd back on loan for another season from Norwich.

Wouldn't mind Shtukman coming the other way, we need another goal stopper.

Preston are in talks with Leicester over a loan move for Jamie vardy as he's not getting much games at the foxes.

Wouldn't mind Schumacher and Novak coming. I think we'll look at another option for right back though and not bring Connolly back next season.

Would not mind if david worrall came in from bury as well, open secret that Preston were sniffing around him and Schumacher if bury dropped to L2

Preston will be getting a top quality striker in lee novak. Puts everything into every game and is a proven goal scorer in league 1. Will be absolutely guttard to see him leave us

Good luck to PNE with Novak, because they`ll need it.

AFC Wimbledon will play a preseason friendly away at Monza of the Italian Lega Pro Seconda Divisione in the first week of July after AFC Wimbledons commercial director reportedly met the chairman of Monza, in Italy.

Alan Bennetts deal at Wimbledon is up and he's off to Pompey with former legend Connolly returning to the Dons

Bennett has signed for AFC Wimbledon and may well be made captain after leading the side out in the final game of the season.

That's why he signed up for Wimbledon today

Bennett signed with AFC today. The club are hopeful that Jon Meades, Gary Alexander and John Sullivan will sign permanently after successful loan spells.

Portsmouth looking at bringing in matt tubbs, charlie sheringham, Matty Blair, Danny butterfield, nathaniel Mendez Laing, rene Howe, marlon pack, Alex cisak, nathan ake.

Goings

- Ashley Harris
- Adam Webster
- Gabor gyepes
- John akinde

As a Pompey fan, I would love to see this happening! But why whould Butterfield choose a League Two side over Bolton or Soton? Nathan Ake?! Are you 'avin a laugh mate, the lad is a class. We could afford him only on loan, maybe.

Nathan Ake won't be coming to Pompey. More likely to go on loan to a Championship club if at all. Only Akinde likely to leave Pompey out of those 4.

02 May 2013 00:44:33
Nathan Ake? Who plays on the bench for Chelsea. no chance

Ake way too good a player to play for us

Stoke Ins (Unlikely):

N'zogbia- Aston Villa
Murphy-Crewe
Fanni-Olympique de Marseille
Defoe-Spurs

Doubt there's any truth about Jones coming. yeah he's a strong player and can hold the ball up but would he fit into our system? plus, he doesn't seem eager enough to close down when I've seen him play, appears to prefer a poachers roll and doesn't like to run all the time!

Swans won't go for jones

Not sure Jones is good enough for Swans first team. Cardiff can have him.

Hughes and brayford would never go to stoke never going happen {Ed034's Note - why??? it would be a step up

Brayford yes Hughes no as he just signed a new contract and would be looking to go to teams like Liverpool and Man City etc.

Stoke won't get any of these 'transfers' apart from nzogbia! They are not that big a club!

Jones not worth 7 mill

Hughes is destined for bigger things as long as a top 4 club dosent get him and Brayford simply isn't good enough. No thanks

If Swansea were going for Jones, it would have been a panic replacement for Danny Graham in January. Now they have had time to suss out the market

Because Pulis is renowned for killing footballing talent. They're not hoofball specialists.

Sounds like we'll bring in some good players.
Now all we need is a new manager.
Stoke will be in West Brom's shoes this time next season!

Where have these jones to swansea circulated from for the past few months? I would actually cry (not happy) if it ever happened.

01 May 2013 21:36:14
lvaro Morata from Real is a £8m target for Swansea City

02 May 2013 10:40:17
If Jones perfomed at the same levels as when Jones peaked some years ago, then Kenwyne Jones would without doubt be a superb signing. Today he seems to be a bit lazy and not "hungry" enough to obtain succes. But who knows with a new manager, who can inspire Jones?

Lvaro Morata would be a more exiting signing than Jones.

He looks the type, not sure about the price

A very promising youngster. Only 20 scored quite a few goals for Madrid II. Can't see Madrid letting him go especially for 8m. Although this is the type of player I'd like to see the swans pushing to sign. I know they don't like spending over the top but I hope they take more of a risk this year. There are a lot of good young players around. I'd like to see them going for players like Morata, cornelius, Fischer, finnbogason etc.
if we keep the current squad together we need to add another 5/6 players to cope with the euro league. Canas already signed. Of the players we've been linked with hopefully we can get botia and aspas, plus one or two of the above, maybe cornelius and Fischer.

One of the best players to come though the madrid youth in a while. would be a good signing for future but very unlikely

Great if true

Portsmouth set to sign Nile ranger? I couldn't help but laugh at this

01 May 2013 21:49:42

02 May 2013 07:45:36
Look on club website pal cisak has been offered new deal and deano released : (

Mate, that's exactly what I thought and tweeted Deano himself. Unfortunately it's true, he's been released. Gutted! One of the best keepers we've ever had and he's being allowed to leave. What is LJ thinking of?!

I agree m8 but in Johnson we trust

Cheers mate. I do trust him. Looking forward to seeing our new team, but going to miss Deano and Simmo

Dean Saunders has confirmed this evening that several young prospects will be loaned out to free up wages in his squad. Striker Jake Cassidy has attracted attention by 5 different clubs, one of them being Tranmere Rovers who he has previously been on loan to earlier this season.

Yeah deffo. 1 game left which will decide there future in championship & he's talking about who to loan out? No wonder there in relegation zone then

Toddy is looking less likely now according to Jordan Cross (local news reporter). Sheringham is a big rumour down south. Blair down Pompey 2/05/13 to seal deal.

01 May 2013 18:28:20
with Barnet set to make a big loss due on television rights and funding from the FA, they are set to offload some of their better players to make up the money. Players such as Jake Hyde and Ricky Holmes are wanted by many teams, such as Plymouth Argyle. Meanwhile no one wants to take high earner Graham Stack off of them.

Jake hyde would be good signing alongside rene howe from torquay!

01 May 2013 18:08:03

Already been decided by the FL that the points have come off this season.

Keep up person we had them about 2 weeks ago

01 May 2013 16:40:45
Chelsea are going to sign Neymar this summer they will pay 42 Million to 46. 5 Million if they want to get him.
They would sell Torres to help get money for the Neymar transfer.

01 May 2013 18:08:26
Note the following:

last summer Barcelona paid a down payment of 10million to Santos for Neymar, a contractual agreement states that Santos will owe Barcelona double (20m) that if he signs for a club other than Barcelona.

Neymar has also stated on numerous occaisions that he will not move until after the 2014 World Cup.

I'm not saying that your information is untruthful. just pointing out that the price tag is highly unlikely!

Double it and you might be close, Man City had been talking somewhere in the region of 125m in January

Neymar has said that he will not leave and if he did it would be to barca

Torres 10m?

Neymar has a clause for 61mil

01 May 2013 16:13:45
jose mourinho will join chelsea this summer and lampard will sign a new deal

01 May 2013 16:13:00
man city have agreed to sign fernandinho from shakatar for 23 million euros

01 May 2013 16:12:00
man city will attempt to use edin dzeko as part of the deal to land edison cavani from napoli but its unknown wheter dzeko would make the move which wouls scupper the deal

If they were going to use him for a swap deal they would be approaching dortmund. It's been reported that:

a) Dortmund are keen to sign dzeko if they lose lewandowski

b) Dzeko wants to return to germany

Man City to buy anything that walks or crawls to try and buy the title back!

01 May 2013 16:10:09
after years of speculation neymar will finally move to europe this summer to barcelona. santos vice president odillio rodriguez quoted ''neymar has informed us he won't be signing a new deal because his time at santos has come to an end''.

01 May 2013 15:54:54
Derby's reported transfer targets (according to Nicho from the DET):
Alex Baptiste - Blackpool
Craig Forsyth - Watford
Chris Martin - Norwich
James Vaughan - Norwich

Also a possibility could be:
Lee Grant - Burnley
Aidan White - Leeds

Lee grant staying at burnley

That is very final, although nearly out of contract, has yet to re-sign

01 May 2013 15:46:51
Chris Hussey could be leaving Afc Wimbledon after saying goodbye on his page. The Left back, who returned to the dons in January, is a Fans favourite and an official announcement is expected in the next couple of weeks. It is not clear whether, if true, this is a decision made by the club or whether the player has received a better offer from elsewhere. After regaining fitness, bar a crucial mistake against fellow strugglers Barnet late in the season, Hussey's form and ability going forward had been improving. Yet club finances and Ardley wanting to re mould his team may dictate a number of players leave the squad that finished 8th based on results from an impressive second half of the season.

Hussey was poor at best. But the rumour is he's signed for Wycombe.
Cheltenham touting Harrison around, he was superdonrizla for us-we'd have him back at the dons, great team player

Tell us something we don't already know!

On his page? tbh he is fairly weak going forward, poor crossing, but ok defensively

* page

On his personal page of a well known social media site.

02 May 2013 15:22:05
are you having a laugh harrison would be the last player I would have back at our club midson is twice the player he is i'd have alexander back than harrison he would never had score the goals midson and alexander scored to keep us up let some other poor suffer and have him

I'd rather have my Nan than Harrison up front for us

01 May 2013 15:33:23
Contrary to reports in the press Jol isn't leaving Fulham nor is Berbatov. Fulham DO have money to spend & WILL spend
Their targets are
Pappis Cisse
Andre Ayew
Jordan Ayew
Matmour
Hoilett
Taarabt
Essien
Bony
Rosicky
Harnik
Chadli
Huddlestone

Not all of these are going to sign but this is a list that Jol has given to Barry & his scouts.
Not telling porkies but seriously can't reveal who I am or where I work. MAF has warned Jol " I will back you but fail and I will sack u".

J. Y

At last a believable rumour and as a lifelong fulham fan sounds as good as its going to get. Berbatov is pure class and a joy to watch. COYW

01 May 2013 19:43:01
if this all happens I will be a very happy fulham fan

Essien what r you joking a loan at Madrid then a move to Fulham no way. I am a ffc fan and say it's a joke

Is this a lie?

Fulham going for lots of old players once again

Essen could come mate, he hasn't been getting much game time at Madrid and can't get into Chelsea's team because of constant injuries. If Fulham enquired I'm sure he will be interested as he would know he would get guaranteed first team football and wouldn't need to worry about being sold if he gets injured. Personally, I think that Chelsea have forgotten about him and have moved on.

Old players? Essien and Rosicky are the only two old players in that list, the rest are mid 20s. These are only rumours and Fulham fans already criticising. You just can't please some.

I would like all these to come especially the Ayer bros, cisse, essien, bony and Chadli but can someone tell me who Harnik is?

After today's game I wish jol would leave how can he keep picking senderos who is not premier league class average at best reading were poor but fulham were shocking.

01 May 2013 15:17:23
boro set to sign chelsea starlett lucas piazon on a season long loan following his return from a loan spell at malaga

01 May 2013 15:38:22
Doncaster Rovers Summer Activity:

Out - Neil Sullivan. James Harper. Kyle Bennett.

In - Iian Hume. Dean Furman. Gary Madine.

We need a goal keeer, cente back, central midfielder and a goal scorer.

Any rumours or names we'd like to see in a rovers shirt next season?

Dickov will become manager

Owain Fon Williams Is Linked As A Replacement For The Departing Neil Sullivan

Kyle Bennett will not be released, he is an asset, he did well in the championship last year, why would you release him for nothing. He also cost us £20,000

As in keeper i'd like to see scott flinders of Hartlepool, maybe somebody like alan judge in midfield, gary madine as our goal scorer we need.

I'd personally keep sully be great to coach the young keepers he won't want too much money

FURMAN is costing you a six figure sum as that was part of the loan deal when he jumped ship at Oldham.

We did better without him so worked a good deal.

Would like paddy madden if yeovil don't go up

We certainly don't want that Dickov! Dickov, useless at Oldham, seen him at the Keepmoat a lot recently, think the chairman likes him, should promote Rob Jones and make Sully coach, please don't bring Saunders back

If a club came in for Bennett to buy him for good money he could leave in my eyes I don't think he's as good as he thinks he is, I agree with the comment about flinders he looked good against us bound to be a good Keeper in league 1 that wants to make the jump up

Id like to see Brentford striker clayton Donaldson, might be what we need for the championship, somebody who can put his self about the box, he's big strong and scores goals

02 May 2013 09:00:42
iain hume is returning to preston he as stated it on twitter unless Donny pay the asking fee

02 May 2013 09:36:30
Can't help but think we would need championship experience? And a season ticket holder I would hate another season of watching Kyle Bennett. Should john Ryan have to put the Bentley on the line again for motivation?

02 May 2013 09:42:23
It's not about k Bennett being released! His contracts up, he's not getting the playing time!

Bennett thinks he's a quality players, but as I watched all last lesson he's a useless player doesn't keep the ball doesn't defend isn't actually that quick isn't strong enough and there's no end product get rid

Exactly as above! And released, contract up is the same difference. No need to correct grammar, we need valid points for debate.

Phil Neville as the manager? What do we think?

Bennett is out of contract this summer int he

01 May 2013 14:57:19
madrid plot rivalling chelsea for fellaini in summer

01 May 2013 14:43:55
Marlon King will be attending the play off semi-final first leg between swindon and brentford reigniting rumours that a move to Griffin Park is on the cards. Birmingham are looking to cut loose the striker whose wages cannot be sustained. Brentford on the other hand want the talismatic former Watford man to support their back-to-back promotion push if they manage to get out off league 1. This is according to those close to King.

You'll have to dig deep to match his wage demands.

5 years ago Marlon would be a good call to get you back-to-back promotions. Now? Not so much. May keep you up though.

Marlon King will demand at least 20K a week in wages, when he was at Watford he was on something like 45K near the end {Ed003's Note - =-O }

He was on about 15k at watford, wanted more so went to wigan

He will be as useful as Clinton Morrisson. not very!

01 May 2013 14:26:54
Done Deal to be announced after a medical next Monday.
James Harper to sign for Leyton Orient after being told he can leave Donny, this is from someone who knws his dad in Chelmsford Essex.

James Harper? Please NO
He's 33!

Lisbie is 34 and been are best player all season, would be happy enough if he got a one year deal.

01 May 2013 22:41:53
And how old is Kevin Lisbie?

He would be a perfect replacement for Rowland's. Harper has a wealth of experience at Premiership level, would be a decent signing if true.

01 May 2013 22:58:27
Came on loan to Wycombe last season. Woefully unfit, doesn't try, can't pick a pass, lazy prima donna. There's a reason he hasn't played a league match since.

You're better off without him.

Lisbie joined O's at 31 / 32? with a proven goalscoring record. We new what we were going to get. Harper would be comming to the club at 33, and way past his best. Could work, buth not worth the gamble.

01 May 2013 14:22:42
scott sinclair can't wait to get away from manchester having been made a lqughing stock of. the winger moved in the summer and hasn't even mad a hand full of starts and struggles to sometimes get a game at u21 level.

swansea
wba
southampton
everton interested parties

We don't want him back

More chance of trevor sinclair coming out of retirement and signing for the swans than scotty being allowed back.

Sinclair went there because his girlfriand wanted him to go from swansea so he needs to get on with it

01 May 2013 19:57:37
contrary to what you am all saying we know you would welcome him back if a bid was accepted. twice the player of routledge and dyer

Although clearly not happy at Citeh it's thought he doesn't want to leave the North West so smart money is on a summer move to either Everton or Liverpool. But saying that he is from Bath (like our Jason Dodd) and his brother Jake playes for the reserves So forget last weekend Scott get yourself on the MP bus.

Wouldnt lace Dyers boots and Routs work rate would make Scotty look like a dead weight

Nobody in Swansea wants Sinclair to return. Fact.

Twice the player of Routledge and Dyer?
You've either never seen them play or your in some kind of dream land.

We'll assume the latter so wake up please.

I would have Sinclair back here. He was a revelation when he joined us in the championship. Though I agree he would be fourth/fifth choice so why bother.

West ham 2

Sinclair WAS our start player without a doubt and nobody will deny that, he done magnificently for us and was a key player in our promotion, so yes, every jack should be grateful for that!

But. He didn't leave primarily to progress with his career did he? Instead, he wanted to leave for some extra cash and to keep his skirt happy whilst saying he wanted to progress. Realistically, was that actually going to happen with the players in his position MC already had?

He's burnt his bridges not because of what he did, most players will come and go, but the way he did it with looking for a transfer to a club where his EX-misses wanted to live! You'd be in the minority who'd be happy to see him back so soon!

Tbh I would rather have sinclair over dyer anyday

01 May 2013 14:00:31
Ro Larrieu is to leave Home Park as part of Sheridans re building process. Kevin Nancekivel also leaves the first team coaching staff, but may move to the Academy. Meanwhile new deals have been offered to Bhasera, Branston, Cole, Gurrieri, Hourihane, Wotten, Vassell, and Tyler will become a first year pro. Argyle have transfer listed Chadwick and Gilmartin, while Charles, Chenoweth, Lowry and Sims have all been released. Feeney is in limbo, but will be offered the chance to impress Sheridan in the pre - season.
Thanks for the memories Ro, sad to see you go after thirteen years, but onwards and upwards.
Who is comming in? Time alone will tell!

Crossley and the other chesterfield bloke seen in plymouth

swansea city are closing in on a triple swoop on spain with real betis midfielder canas having already agreed a deal to join in the summer.
the next is celta vigo striker iago aspas who had previously been torn between the premier league and ath madrid who were thought to be interested but there interest has settled and the player will move to wales for a undisclosed fee.
the third player arriving from la liga is granada defender inigo lopez. the 30 year old is also out of contract and will make the switch once his contract officialy runs out

Swansea also after saints starlet James ward-prowse in a loan deal and WBA defender Liam ridgewell for just over 2 m

Wont go for more than 2 extra spanish players - will need to look for home grown talent

Swans will go for quality players who fit the system and are value for money, nationality doesn't matter, homegrown is overpriced and spain is cheap, do the math

01 May 2013 13:45:06
kevin doyle will choose between former club reading and celtic this summer as wolves look to ship out the big earners including hunt, henry and berra.

Berra's contract is up at the end of the season, good luck to him.

Replacement for Hunt if he leave would be the only reason I can see us (RFC) wanting him. Tbh i'd rather him not ruin his legend status by coming back.

01 May 2013 13:41:07

01 May 2013 13:33:31
swansea, newcastle and wba have all been credited with an interest in dynamo kiev striker brown ideye. the nigerian international has impressed since his move to kiev from switzerland and would jump at the chance of a move to the premier league.

Looks like another agent fishing for a move, not genuine interest

west brom have made a formal approach to qpr over a potential deal to bring in junior hoilett. the baggies attempted to land hoilett in january on loan as part of the deal which would have seen odemwingie move to loftus road which qpr rejected, then we all no the story that follows with odemwingie driving down to london when a deal hadnt been struck between the clubs,. person.
now wba have upped there ionterest to full transfer

AFC Bournemouth was quoted yesterday " Any rumours surrounding us and Charlie Austin are wide of the mark"
Burnley are demanding too much. that's why he didn't go in January. He may be there still at the start of the season. Greed is a terrible thing but worse is having a player who doesn't want to be there and resenting the club he is playing for.
Bad move by the Burnley board once again with only 1 year left on his contract.

Don't talk pish, he isn't unhappy, he just wants what's best for his girlfriend and child, he's happy at the club, it's his girlfriend who wants to move closer to home (south)

When has he said he doesn't want to be at Burnley? He hasn't and the reason he will be sold (if he does go) will be because Burnley will look to cash in before he enters the last season of his contract. He has admirers of much bigger stature than AFCB. He obviously wants to progress his career. he certainly isn't being kept at Burnley when he is very unhappy. simply not true. And demanding too much? He has scored 26 goals in the second tier of English football. Why shouldn't we be demanding good money for him? We sold JayRod for 7 million and he scored less. Rhodes cost 8 million and has scored more or less the same goals and that's with Austin missing a month and stagnating in Dyches system!

I can't see how he could be happy at any club when his girlfriend is so unhappy. Burnley are going nowhere soon where as Bournemouth have 3 multi millionaire Russians on the board. Oh I almost forgot when Eddie Howe came home he made a comment that its such a relief that it doesn't rain every day like it did in Burnley

Lol, Greed how do you work that out,
Steven Fletcher 7 mil, Jay Rod 7, mil & Rhodes cost Rovers 8 mil. Austin is as good as any of the 3 above so I would expect around those figures for Austin, when he leaves Burnley. Not greed, I think its called the going rate.

For any young, hungry striker, Burnley is the perfect shop window to prove themself and get a big money move.

Burnley are taking a huge gamble. Austin could refuse a move elsewhere and be free to talk to interested clubs in January including AFCB. I believe his under 23 so fee would be set by tribunal.

Go on Burnley, keep on believing your board is in control of Charlie Austin. To teach you lot a lession he should sit it out for a season and then walk for free. Can you imagine the tears lol {Ed003's Note - Get over yourself,The board are well aware they will need to cash in on Austin and can ask whatever price they see fit not what Bournemouth fans think he is worth for crying out loud.}

Charlie is over 23. Charlie, come home and join Eddie/Jason at Bournemouth and let's see where this journey can take us, your girlfriend and child will be extremely happy, so will you be :) UTC

Think we all need to calm down a bit lads. We were financially strong in league one but the championship is a lot lot bigger with a lot bigger clubs. The financial fair play rules mean we can't spend what we have and the likes of reading, QPR, Leeds etc will be spending big bucks. I would be happy with mid table which I believe we have the team capable of achieving it

^^^ well Ed 003, the board can do what they like but if the lad doesn't want to leave he is entitled to sit out the last year of his contract and move for free on a bosman at the end of the season. He can talk to interested clubs in January and if he wants to go to AFCB he will.

Make your minds up lads! First you come on saying he wants to leave (no proof whatsoever of this) and now you saying he doesn't want to leave and want to leave on a free next season! It won't get to that. He will go this summer because a bigger club will come in and offer a decent amount for him. That club I very much doubt will be AFCB (not bigger for one!) Already been said by others that bigger clubs have an eye on him. Amazing what a promotion can do for dreams. and moreover delusion!

^ was just making the point that Bournley don't hold all the aces in this situation. When any player enters the last year of contract, they have a big say in where they go. On the subject of delusion, do you honestly tjink any club are going to offer more than 3m for s player that they can sign for free next summer. GET REAL.

Yes of course they will, Jay rod was in the last year of his contract and look at the fee he demanded. Also 20 mil for rvp with 1yr left. Welcome to the real world of football

Who's delusional now? I don't think Charlie Austin is quite in the same bracket as RVP lad!

04 May 2013 13:40:44
I'm not say he is. You're referring to a player I the last year of his contract I'm just pointing out to you that regardless of the time left If the price ain't right he won't be going so 3-4 mil be laughed at fact

01 May 2013 12:54:33
Lanre Oyebanjo will sign for Oxford United next week after rejecting a deal at York City.

He is replacing Damian Batt who has had an offer from promoted Bournemouth (not sure why as not C'ship standard).

He has not rejected deal.

01 May 2013 12:11:31
Middlesbrough manager tony Mowbray close to agreeing a deal for notts county winger Alan judge

He's signed a deal at bolton

Judge to make a dramatic U-turn on whether or not sign a new contract. This is due to intelligence that Ray Trew has accepted an offer for the club. Kiwomya will follow and Steve Cotterill will be named manager as soon as the take over has been comeplete.

Also Ben Davies to re-sign from Derby after admitting he is not happy with the lack of first team football.

Ray Trew is not selling the club, full stop.

U avin a laugh Notts not up for sale you need to get facts right before posting them

Haha the 2nd comment made me laugh! Just brilliant but I'm not sure I believe it!

Ha Ha! Its all lies! lol. The club is not up for sale, judge is definitely leaving (he has already said he's not leaving for bigger wages just a higher league) and Kiwomya is staying (Cotterill not coming back - not loyal enough!)

01 May 2013 12:04:34
Leyton Orient are in talks with Steven Doris and Joel Grant.

Grant will definitely be signing, but Doris is more difficult, there are championship clubs timidly watching him but the O's are the only concrete offer. Arbroath have offered him a deal to make him their highest ever paid player but he'd still be better off stacking shelves in a supermarket.

Doris could be a good signing.
Mabey Barry Hearn has also offered him a part-time job, working in the Sports Shop.

01 May 2013 11:58:31
Portsmouth set to sign up to 10 new players

- rene Howe
- charlie sheringham
- papa bouba diop
- Thierry racon
- Patrick agyemang
- Shaun cooper
- marlon pack
- andy monkhouse
- Alex cisak
- mustapha dumbuya

Very realiable source close to the club!

Take Cisak, he's made it clear he doesn't want to stay at Oldham

Why get Dumbuya back when Whittingham released him?

01 May 2013 16:02:40
Rene Howe is out of contract 1st July, Plymouth agreeing deal this week for pence

Dumbaya was released due to wages so not likely now, Diop no chance

Agyemang already agreed terms. Bouba Diop never. Racon close to signing. Maybe Coops too. Dumbuya left because his wages were too high, so very unlikely. Cisak wouldn't want to be no2 to Eastwood, but i'd like him back. Sheringham is a maybe. Howe= no, because of Agyemang signing. Pack unlikely, esp if Cheltenham go up via play-offs. Monkhouse, outof contract so who knows! PUP.

Would be happy with just about all of these players but some will def not happen! Racon, Agyemang and Cooper will probably sign, as will David Connolly, Liam Walker, Simon Eastwood and Ricardo Rocha. Charlie Sherringham and Rene Howe are interested but can not see the rest arriving.

01 May 2013 11:51:45
Luke Rogers a target for former club Portsmouth, Bury and Fleetwood.

Left Pompey due top wages being too high & lack of 1st team games. Very unlikely he'll be back as he wouldn't be a 1st team player now either!

Hope not! Think Guy is talking to Charlie Sherringham though.

01 May 2013 11:50:39
Manchester City want Benteke and will pay £30 million

01 May 2013 11:01:39
west brom will attempt to sign the following in the summer;

Lukaku - Loan - had an excellent first season with the club and enjoys it there. With the possibility of mourinho going back to chelsea this well help as clarke is mourinhos old nr 2 and they are in regular contact. chelsea are likely to spend big in the summer leaving lukaku still down the pecking order.

scott sinclaire - albion tried to agree a loan move in january but it never materialised and will go back in for him in the summer. loan with a view to a permanent.

danny simpson. free transfer

andre carillo- albion have watched carillo on a number of occassions and will bid for thewinger/striker

Wilfred Bony - have been watching bony for a long time and will bid in the summer however his profile has risen recently after being linked to chelsea and liverpool and west brom may be priced out of the deal.

Matias suarez from anderlecht. again he has been scouted for a while. anderlecht said they valued him more than lukaku 2 seasons back but after missing quite a bit of action through injury and only having a year or 2 on his contract albion may make a move.

Goran Popov. - currently on loan with albion and will have the loan made permanent

also expect a few free transfers who are lesser known.

01 May 2013 12:42:27
Of course a loan deal never materialised for Sinclair in January, you cannot play for three Premier League clubs in one season.

01 May 2013 13:53:33
thats incorrect actually IJA players are not allowed to play for no more than 3 clubs. so 3 is allowed. the fact it didn't materialise is probably to do with man city needing sinclaire to make up the number of homegrown players in their squad!

No that's correct you can't play for 3 clubs in one season

03 May 2013 10:48:25
Currently under the FIFA Transfer Regulations a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club.

This also applies regardless of what country that player has plied his trade in, whether that is in Europe, Africa or South America. As long as a player has represented a club in a league under the adjudication of a FIFA Member Association they will only be able to play for three different clubs.

However, this does mean that a football player is free to represent a total of three different clubs in any league in the world over the course of one season.

In fact we see it happen fairly often, several players every season are registered at their parent clubs and go on to play at 2 other clubs on loan in one season - One prime example is Chris Wood who was registered at Albion in 2010-11 season (played 1 League and 1 cup game), went on loan to Barnsley in Sept 2010 (where he played 7 games) and went on to represent Brighton in Nov 2010 making 29 appearences.

So the loan of Sinclair would've been possible!

Wrong again pal a player can register for 3 clubs but can only play for 2

05 May 2013 08:47:22
a player can be registered with a max of 3 clubs during 1 season but can only play for 2 of them, with the exception of a move between

01 May 2013 10:51:43
Steven Schumacher return to Bradford in the summer, Clarke-Harris is also going to Bradford

Love for this to happen Schumacher to come back

JCH hasn't had contact from any club.

01 May 2013 10:54:57
hi eds, papiss cisse has had a strong link with a move to fulham as they have had a succesfull campaign this season. whilst newcastle are battling not to go in the championship.
thanks eds

01 May 2013 09:59:07
Nathanial Chaloba could join Manchester United in the summer, Sir Alex Ferguson could pay up to £4 million for the player who us currently on loan at Watford.

Haha 4 million, if zaha is 15mil then chalobah is at least 20m

Chelsea wouldn't sell him that cheaply, and certainly not to Man Utd.

01 May 2013 12:52:15
for £4 million he will not be joining Manchester United

Ridiculous rumour, £4m to Chelsea is peanuts against Nat's future value as a regular Chelsea and England star.

No way will this happen for £4 mill. I know for a fact chelsea have no intentions of selling him and, subject to them gaining promotion, a season on loan at watford (if not them another premier league outfit) can be expected for the 2013-2014 season.

I'm a Watford fan and can say that Nat is no where good enough yet, he MIGHT be good enough in a few years but for me he's a 1 million pound player, I think if Watford signed him on a multi year deal it would be a risk, maybe a risk worth taking but a risk all the same.

Have you been watching the same Chalobah as I have! He is outstanding and still just 18 - a risk at £1m! Are you blind!

I hope we have him in the premier again if we are lucky enough to get promotion but this lad will be centre mid for England in 3 to 4 years time and I will watch his future career with the same enthusiasm as great loanees like Cleverley and Ben foster

You're right but this is English football we're talking about so you need to multiply Chalobah's true value by 10.

£1 million? You must be deliberately trying to provoke a reaction. He's a future England star and maybe even captain, he's been phenomenal this season and £4 million is a massive understatement as well. £15-20 million would be more appropriate for a player of his undoubted quality. As a Watford fan I've seen him play a lot this season.

If he was going for 4m Watford would buy him and his mate

I'm a Watford fan, and I think we should buy him, even if he costs 10 million

01 May 2013 09:51:07
Leeds are to ask of the availibilty of tottenham centre mid tom carrol, also bmd is intetested in bristols buldock, a loan move for suso of liverpool and nathan ake from chelsea. If he fails to get buldock he will turn his attention to arsenals pacy striker benik afobe. All would be very good signings as they are all yound and have big fututres ahead of them

Not going to get out of championship with all young players need experience aswell

I have said for a while that sam BALDOCK would be a decent signing for any championship side

01 May 2013 09:23:35
Derby to sign the following.

Gk - Lee Grant / Burnley / Free
LB - Craig Forysth / Watford / 150k
CB - Alex Baptiste / Blackpool / Free
RM/LM - Chris Burke / Birmingham / Free
CM - Dean Whitehead / Stoke / Free
ST - Chris Martin / Norwich / Free
ST - James Vaughan / Norwich / Free

Clough has also been watching a few other players as back up options if first choices fall through.

Luke Steele (GK-Barnsley)
Martyn Waghorn (ST-Leicester)
Marlon Pack (CM-Cheltenham)
Jon Taylor (RM/LM-Shrewsbury)
Will Grigg (ST-Walsall)
Alan Judge (RM/LM-Notts Co)
Matt Kilgallon (CB-Sunderland)
James Perch (LB/RB-Newcastle)
Chris Humphrey (LM/RM-Motherwell)
Paddy Madden (ST-Yeovil)
Matty Fryatt (ST-Hull)
Jacques Maghoma (RM/LM-Burton)
Simeon Jackson (ST-Norwich)

Obviously Clough has his main targets but he does have back up options as he has openly stated in the local Derby Telegraph.

James Vaughan would command a fee as he has two years left on his contract.

01 May 2013 10:21:28
my apologies yes I was meant to put 500-750k

Having watched you on Saturday at Bloomfield.

You could sign every decent player in the Championship and still finish mid table.

It's the manager you need to change!

01 May 2013 10:51:25
Chris Humphrey would be a free, so Derby would have a much better chance of securing a deal for him.

01 May 2013 11:05:39
Vaughan will be much more than 5-750k. 2 years left, playing extremely well, minimum of 2 interested clubs. i'd say closer to 1.5mil+addons

01 May 2013 11:29:12
Vaughan will have one year left after this season (signed a 3 year deal in 2011 taking him to 2014) and it has been reported in todays Derby Telegraph that the fee is expected to be lower than the rumoured 750k so no chance of Vaughan going for over 1m

01 May 2013 11:18:55
Good list of players, but come on. there a lot of players that will turn you down, and can you afford some of those players. wages!
Everyone who follows clownty knows that Clough always has to balance the books, so anyone on a decent wage isn't going to sign for you. get real!
Good list though.

The fee for Vaughan seems to be around 500k according to the national press

Is Lee Grant better than what we have already? I'm not so sure

01 May 2013 13:34:11
Of course there are players who will decide to go elsewhere it happens to every team that's why you have a second and 3rd option as well, Clough has said he has got a number of options for each position hence the players that have been watched.

We have more money to spend on wages this summer due to not having to pay for anything like a new screen etc

As many incomings as there will be there will also be outgoings with the likes of Tyson and Robinson meaning plenty of high wages removed and made available - meaning still balancing the books just better quality players {Ed034's Note - new screen???

01 May 2013 14:26:58
James perch?! Yeah right he's a forest fan don't forget

01 May 2013 14:42:02
Who said Robinson is outgoing. ? He will return to Rams ready for pre-season. He has time on his contract left (two years I believe) and no takers to buy him so back he will come to fight for his place.

Grant not coming back, already have Legdz' and Fielding and though one will go we have cover so that is a none starter and besides Grant has wages more than double of Legdz'.

Baptiste also in talks with Palace and James Vaughan subject of £1million bid by Huddersfield so Derby will need to match or above that and can't see that happening.

Nice list but complete fictional! not even a wish list! Most of those players reported going are in fact staying. hoganson, ball, atkins. Roberts has retired form football. derby will not be selling all three goalkeepers! Robinson is coming back for pre-season!

Burke and Vaughan will not be coming to Pride Park.

Only likely incoming almost agreed is that of Forsyth who has gone back to watford for the play-off run-in.

Birmingham have a 2 year option on Burke, so very unlikely to be available on a free.

How many times, we have the option of an extra year on Chris Martin, which we will take to demand a transfer fee.

Because if it's in the derby telegraph and the Mirror that means it must be true!

can't see vaughan going for less than 1m, it's just wishful thinking by derby and huds fans

Yes ed we had a new screen put in at pride park which cut the amount of dpending money we had

Makes me laugh all this has everybody forgot about the new financial rules? no way could Derby cover the wage bill within the new guide lines

How many times, we have the option for the extra year on chris martin, but we won't use it otherwise we run the risk of clubs not willing to spend the transfer fee.

it's one thing wanting a player because he's on a free, another wanting him no matter what.

we won't run the risk on the extra year, for our sakes and poor Martin

Derby are one of the only clubs financially stable in the championship, and if will hughes goes in the summer it won't be for cheap and the funds will go into adding to the squad, derby have spent about £3m a season on players it's just spread about between 4 or 5 players rather than 1 player

I would want everyone of those players apart from Chris Martin.

Barnet manager Egdar Davids joining Walsall as assitant manager to Dean Smith.

Edgar davids has said he would want to remain at barnet and he is going to discuss his future

In your dreams walsall fan

01 May 2013 09:09:37
carroll to spurs, adebayor to newcastle, jelavic to west ham, lukaku to swansea, rhodes to arsenal

Isn't Carroll already at Spurs?

^_^ think he meant big andy carroll.

Tom Carroll is at spurs already, but I believe the post was referring to Andy Carroll

01 May 2013 08:59:42
lewdowonski to united

01 May 2013 08:00:22
Part of the Virgil van Djik deal with Brighton, is the taking of Lorenzo Burnet aswell. Burnet is said to be needed to make way to future signings. The double deal is said to be around the 3.5m

He would be more than surplus to requirements at albion if bridge were to stay. can't see him coming in as cover if he is looking to develop and needs game time.

01 May 2013 07:49:12
Norwich are interested in signing Palacios from Stoke and also Wilfred Bony for around 9.5mil.

Yes please.

Please take Palacios from us!

01 May 2013 02:10:00
Edgar davids next blackburn rovers boss with danny murphy as his number 2

Yeah. I can see that one happening. the manager of a team who ended up being relegated from league 2 is about to take over at a club who will have aspirations of promotion back to the premier league. not likely matey!

01 May 2013 02:08:03
Big name news.

Arsenal will not be signing Cesc Fabregas in the summer as barca will not sell him for less that the buy-back fee.

Marko Reus has attracted the interest of Madrid, united, arsenal, Juventus and Man City this season with the favourites to sign him being man utd. (Personally I think he will remain at Dortmund)

Jose Mourinho will return to either Chelsea or Porto this season with the big money on a return to Stamford bridge.

Dzeko will leave man city is season with a part exchange bid for lewandowski already made. Although it is looking likely that this deal is far from done.

Leandro Damaio is in talks with both ac Milan and juventus with Napoli, Liverpool and bayern also interested.

01 May 2013 08:12:16
Tottenham interested in Argentinian striker Higuain in a deal worth around 18 million

01 May 2013 01:57:08
With survival almost secure stoke look to be in a strong position to strengthen their squad massively for next season.

With man utd, liverpool, chelsea and barcelona all interested in begovic pulis could make the most of it by accepting 15mil and the possibility of taking welbeck, henderson, borini, marin, lukaku, villa, tello on loan depending on which club he goes to. Also two big players want out of their clubs next season Lescott and Huddlestone who should be top of stokes transfer list. There is some cheapish young talent out there that pulis should be looking at, for example Andreas Cornelius, Garath McCleary, Nathan redmond, Jed Wallace. John Brayford all of which should cost less than 5mil each and would be great assets to the club.
It is unlikely pulis will pull off any of these. The most likely ones are:

Huddlestone (previously linked and he wants out)
Cornelius (Pulis preparing bid)
Wallace (stoke have an ex-pompey scout)
Brayford (lifelong stokie)

Dont want Brayford, just because he's a fan dosent automatically make him good enough, had recent injuries and dosent impress me anyway. I'd much prefer Wilkinson. Cornelius Mcleary and Redmond would be good though

01 May 2013 07:15:29
Portsmouth first signing thanks to Sondico will be Torquays goal scorer Rene Howe

Could be a good signing, but Torquay's incoming manager may want to keep him, plus we can't afford much of a fee if any

How do reckon on this?

Contracts up, so will be on a free, gulls fans unsure whether or not he will re-sign. Will want high wages due to interest from a number of clubs, but I imagine a club like Portsmouth could be quite attractive to him. Technically a great player, concerns about his attitude though.

Howe is free in summer

Howe will go to league one club if he leaves, plymouth aren't big enough, portsmouth are big but it will be mk dons or sheff utd

Rumour Submitted

Norwich looking to sign Mike Williamson for £2 million from Newcastle.

01 May 2013 11:55:24
no way. Not good enough for Norwich, we will be looking to add 'quality' not more average centre backs.

01 May 2013 12:56:44
Hughton sees him as a better option than Barnett, Ward and Ayala and so will sign him as a back-up option in the summer.

Not for 2m surely. We've got to have players pushing Turner and Bassong not squad players.

Swindon town 17 year old first year scholar Matthew Jones has been watched in detail by several clubs.

Qpr

The Left back is still yet to feature for Swindon, but has been involved amongst the substitutes, and has a very bright future ahead of him

Sorry to burst your bubble Ben nugent won't be going to you on a free possible loan malky stated he is a future Cardiff captain he won't be able to do that if he plays for you now will he??

Your brother could be in trouble, 'if' he works for Swindon, and let's information such as this out.

Ben Nugent will not be going to Swindon, and he most certainly won't be going anywhere for free. So that's one you can chalk off.

Bradford won't take benson no chance

Dream on swindon fans none of these players will come to you. you won't get promoted to the championship and you definetly won't get in the premiership in my lifetime.

Paddy Madden for 70k? Dream on!

We all ready have gained promotion to the prem league already in th early 90's

Nugent definitely won't be going for free,

It clearly states that the person who posted this is an oxford fan not a Swindon so why do Swindon fans need to dream on when it's not them making the rumours.

Add another 0 to the madden price and double it

I'm struggling to see how Swindon fans are dreaming here when an Oxford fan made the post lol. Anyway none of this will be happenening as its common knowledge that a few of those listed as outgoings have penned extensions

Early 90's! The wars over lads! Live in the here and now

You said swindon wouldn't get in the perm league in your life time as they got there in the 90's?

Paddy madden will cost you at least a million and we won't sell him to you unless you go up

If Matt Richie is worth 500k then Paddy maddon is less, anyway how would a youth Gk coach have this knowlege utter BS.

Paddy madden will not be sold for less than 500k!

Paddy madden is not even experienced in greatness of respect to the official standings that correspond to the deficeincy?

Scottish football.

Gary Mackay-Steven and johnny Russell set to be sold as a package deal to Cardiff in the summer with a fee of around 4million being tossed around.

Anthony Stokes will leave Celtic in the summer after a few falling outs with staff and manager throughout the season.

Cammy bell will be going to rangers early in the transfer window and Kilmarnock will replace him with the Inverness goalkeeper rejero.

Scott Arfield has been linked with hibs, Kilmarnock and Inverness.

Dundee utd are looking to sign serge Gnarby on loan from arsenal for 6months.

Griffiths will return to wolves with Celtic Cardiff Norwich and Blackburn interested.

01 May 2013 10:57:33
Stokes is getting a new contract soooo. naw.

4 million for Russell and Stevens would be a great deal for cardiff

nathan tyson to sign for bristol city as he is guarunteed first team football.

Nathen Tyson is a player that won't go away, we have been linked with him at every window for about 5 years.

Does that mean he will eventually sign? or is it one of our fans that really want him suggesting him everytime?

I'm not an admirer.

Clyne overrated and no better than what we, ve got
However Lukaku WILL return to The Baggies on loan for next season and the only other name that has "legs" is Redmond, but the fee could be the stopper as JP the chairman does not like to part with his pennies.
