Liverpool will loose out on Alves as he will go to Barcelona and Rafa will sign Pennant instead for £3.5mil. AC Milan will sign Luca Toni to replace Shevchenko with Pippo Inzaghi going to Fiorentina as part of the deal. Real Madrid will sign Adriano to replace Ronaldo who is going to Fiorantina to partner Inzaghi, Madrid will also sign Diarra from Lyon, who will sign Makoun to replace him. Overheard from an R's player in a Watford nightclub chatting to his mates. Gary Waddock will be installed as full time manager when Holloway gets a job in the next week or two. Javier Mascherano(Corintihans)-No doubt, he'll be a Man U player. He will prove all what he's able to do in the WC.

Manchester United will not buy any more central defenders they already have 4. They may buy cover for Neville though they have already bought two twin Brazilian wingbacks who sign in 2 years time buy which time heinze will be 30 and neville will be 33.

Stop linking us with rubbish midfielders such as cahill.
We will spend big on a defensive midfielder such as Diarra, Mascherano or Makoun who are all under 26 I might add.
One other midfielder may or may not come with the return to fitness of Scholes.
My source tells me that Fergie would rather buy a player who can play in a number of positions, such as Ribery who can play on either wing or through the middle. (Very ugly though, very much a rival for Ronaldinhos crown!)Though he did beat our under 21s on his own!
Dont be surprised if we return to 4-3-3 on occasion.
Up front I heard ages ago that we may go for Torres but with all the trouble in Italy dont be surprised if Adriano is swapped for Van Nistelrooy + £ rather than Martins who actually likes inter which Adriano doesnt. (Try to find Verons stinging assessment of Adriano- very funny indeed)

Chelsea are bringing in players left right and centre. ballack, kalou, shevchenko, Hilario (GK) and Ben Sahar (16 year old Israeli). the carlos move most probably WONT go ahead now, as del horno is injured, and madrid wanted to asses him in the WC and negotiate a swap deal. Expect mourinho to move for lahm. Crespo will return to italy unless an offer for drogba comes in and he wants to leave. Gudjohnsen will stay unless the same happens. Expect gallas and maybe duff out.

As for United, Ferguson has a variety of options, but he needs to make sure he gets it right. He will definately bring in 2 Centre Mids, possibly a 3rd. He is trying to lower the price on diarra to 18 million. he will offer 12m and silvestre. or 8 million and Van Nistelrooy. if this deal goes ahead it will be a major coup. ferguson will then look at nolan as he is cheap but his main target will be Riquelme, but he wont go over 15 million for the Argentina. If fergie gets Diarra and Riquelme, he will look to bring in Kerlon, and possibly a striker (Torres will be too pricey due to the diarra and riquelme deals) Ferguson will look to Huntelaar or Defoe. This will be about 40 million spent, but with the sale of silvestre/Nistelrooy (depending on the Diarra deal)and possibly O'Shea, only 30mill will be invested by the Glazers.
These deals are very dependant on each other so here is Fergies other scenario. He will look to Mascherano or Gattuso instead of Diarra, both costing about 12m, and will then go for Riquelme, with a possible All-Argentine midfield partnership. if Riquelme doesnt happen, he will bring in Nolan and another CM, duscher or Vogel, providing cover, both costing 5m. Carrick was an option but it doesnt look like he will leave spurs for anything less than 15m. Fergie will offer Ruud to atletico Madrid with 10mill in exchange for torres. if this is rejected he will move on and offer Ruud in exchange for Martins at inter, if this is rejected, ruud will just be sold to either milans or madrid for 10-12mil and he will buy owen, defoe or huntelaar. As less money is spent this way, Fergie will look to buy two from Ribery, Lennon and Kerlon. Probably the latter two. Silvestre will be offered in the Lennon Deal, he is no longer needed at Old Trafford.
