Matt Ritchie will sign for sunderland in the next few days

01 Jul 2013 23:18:58
Looks like matt Ritchie is off to sunderland for 2.6m gutted from afcb fan

Surely the almighty Bournemouth can't be losing a player

02 Jul 2013 07:46:58
Is he flying back from Zurich early?

02 Jul 2013 09:12:09
Surely the gloating AFCB fans with all your russian money can manage to keep him as you are a massive club - Yeah right.
Ritchie is better than a small club like AFCB and really hope it comes off for him.

^
Sounds like the bitter Swindle fans are about once again and still have their Ritchie fixation. I personally think that Matt was always temporary at AFCB and quite expect him to leave at some time. But we do have other players to fit in, we can still buy others if we want and a nice profit for us eh Dobbins!
Best wishes from a small team in the "Championship" UTC

01 Jul 2013 22:58:23
Sunderland to offer Connor Wickham on loan for the season and £1 million cash for Matt Ritchie

U can keep Conor wickham don't want him gutted Ritchie is going but 2.6 mil nice business

01 Jul 2013 22:35:10
Blackpool set to have talks with Manchester United about a double loan deal for Larnell Cole and Nick Powell

I hope this is true. Was just thinking the other day how good a loan signing Powell would be for any championship team!

Just can't see man united wanting their young starlets to play on our rough pitch, in what looks to be a struggling team this new season.

The pitch is now nice and smooth and we even have some grass on it

The pitch has been completely relaid, it's brand new

01 Jul 2013 22:23:20
united bid 16 million for baines

01 jul 2013 22:15:17
plymouth to sign luke chadwick & martin rowlands

talked to js earlier.

c1886c23

On 2 March 2013, Chadwick signed a 2 year extension to his current MK Dons deal, keeping him at the club until June 2015 & Martin Rowlands has a massive wage. that's why leyton orient released him. Doubt this very much.

Out of curiousity why would JS disclose to you the exact names of two potential signings? Perhaps he'd hint a player or two would be joining but surely not something like that before it's official?

02 Jul 2013 07:38:27
Luke Chadwick is one of Mk dons best players and he's signed a new contract! No way!

Who is JS -- Joe Soap?

JS means John Sheridan the Argyle manager

Burnley are trying to seal a deal for Darren ambrose but face competion from bournemouth and charlton who have been in talks with Birmingham fc over a deal

I don't think us charlton fans would like ambrose back? He was a bit of a bell'end for leaving, and especially for joining palace

02 Jul 2013 06:04:06
No contest! The likes of Burnley and Charlton cannot compete with "Loadsamoney Bournemouth".

As a Charlton fan I liked Ambrose and don't blame him for leaving, even if to go Palace. All the guy got was abuse whilst and after he was at the Valley. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Anybody bournemouth aren't fibbing about trying to sign?

Why has Bournemouth having loads of money got anything to do with it. We aren't splashing it about as much as others in the league

04 Jul 2013 20:17:22
So far AFCB have spent. £0 on signings. I do think there will be one surprise for us though. In EH we trust! UTC

01 Jul 2013 22:00:42
: Reading Fc in discussions over the possible transfer of Thomas Eisfeld of Arsenal. Initially it was thought to be a Loan but Reading are preparing a bid for the 20 year old German. But as of yet the fee Reading are willing to pay is unknown. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.

A transfer would be good rather than a loan.

02 Jul 2013 03:58:01
Arsenal won't let him go permanently.

02 Jul 2013 11:42:42
One year left on contract and player wants games.

He will never feature for arsenals first team so he's be smart to consider a move

Ed? Any news? {Ed029's Note - Nothing on this lad.

01 Jul 2013 22:15:01
Swansea's Irish striker Rory Donnelly is a target for League One Bristol City.

01 Jul 2013 22:12:36
Plymouth linked with Zavon Hines after he was released by Bradford! Would make a real difference and hope this is true!

02 Jul 2013 07:42:01
Hope this is true! Would be an Amazing signing and Yes, would be a big boost!

He would do ok in League 2 and that's all. Too many average days in a city shirt. Good luck to the lad but we have better.

01 Jul 2013 21:59:53
West Brom very close to completing the signing of nicolas anelka. Zoltan gera & shane long to sign new contracts aswell

So that's one "has been" striker looking for a meal ticket, one injury prone midfielder looking to extend his sell by date, and a striker who is already under contract but never seems to get a look in after he scores in previous games! great forward thinking Peace, this is really going to install confidence in the supporters {mugs}.

Must be a big time wolves fan

I for one would be pleased if we sign anelka and tie up gera and long to new deals.

I think we will finish eighth again with these players mentioned. Last season we had a weaker squad than most of the division but we got there by playing as a team and being solid as a team. With these improvements I see no reason why we should do worse.

Dont want Anelka- good finisher but lazy -doesn`t suit us

02 Jul 2013 15:52:53
Nope, just a realist Baggie wishing that Peace would show a bit of ambition for once, not bankrupt the club, but give us fans some real expectation for next season, not much to ask for is it?

01 Jul 2013 21:52:39
Oxford are to make 4 new signings in the next week or so. All players have been with the club the past week.
Ex Colchester defender Matt Heath on 1 yr deal
Scunthorpe left back Tom Newey on a 2 yr deal.
Shrewsbury and ex OUFC midfielder Asa Hall is joining on a 6 month loan, with Oxford paying a very small percentage of his wage.
Ex Watford defender Matt Bevans is joining the development squad on a 1 yr deal with the option of a 2nd.

There's talk of Sergio Torres joining from Crawley too, after discussions.

Not a cat in hells chance of Sergio going anywhere. He's staying at Crawley where he's idolised and is happy

Sergio is staying put

This may link with an apparent announcement on local radio yesterday about 4/5 players to sign for OUFC. I did not hear the broadcast but a neighbour, a Swindon Town fan, heard and told me.

Plus Dutch midfielder Angelo Simone.

Then why did Sergio ask a certain Mr Diaz what Oxford United was like? Very suspicious. Crawley is a very little club, maybe he wants a challenge.

Asa Hall has not been given a fair chance at Shrews and has been told that he is not likely to get ahead of our other centre midfielders. Feel sorry for the guy as he has the talent and when ever he did play he was influential in the game. Hope he has good season for you at Oxford. there's only 1 STFC.

If Sergio is staying at Crawley, why did he Tweet Ramon Diaz's son (ex Oxford Manager) 2 days ago asking what Oxford is like as a football club?

Sergio stated in the local Crawley paper that he is to stay with the club for the forthcoming season. That wasn't speculation it's fact. And yes Crawley may not be the biggest club in the world, but they are far from being a 'very little club'. But what's more too the point they're in a league above little Oxford United

Hall is not league one standard. Poor at tackling, concedes too many fouls and not great at passing.

02 Jul 2013 18:55:41
Read the crawley news and website his happy to stay thank you prob need to gets facts straight first

I spoke to torres at the kit launch an he told me he is staying with crawley for one more season he is a hero here an a legend he defo won't be leaving for a league 2 side

Matt Heath has just bought a house in North Yorkshire. Me thinks not!

But what's to say Oxford won't come in with a bid for him?

03 Jul 2013 23:34:42
Marlon pack should be a crawley player in the next few days he is meeting barker on Thursday deal should be done shortly

Torres to sign for Oxford by close of play Friday for nominal fee. Final medical Thursday afternoon. Pay negotiations complete.

Sorry oxford fans but Torres is staying at crawley

That's 2 of them right, ;-)

Matt heath already had a house in yorkshire from his time at leeds. he has currently moved back there, but if he gets a deal somewhere that won't stop him taking it.

01 Jul 2013 21:29:19
Luton could sign either Yan Klukowski or Cheyenne Dunkley by the end of this week, in time for their pre-season training camp in Portugal.

01 Jul 2013 21:35:02
Titus Bramble is training with West Ham.

Not on trial or any chance of signing thank God! Just being allowed to get fit.

01 Jul 2013 21:25:40
Middlesbrough to land simon church who will (hopefully) be used as back up to juke

He's going somewhere else!

He's 'STAYING' down South!

Not really a 20 goal season man, he's worst than we've got.

01 Jul 2013 21:22:00
Norwich have had a £8.2m bid accepted for leroy fer

Is he worth 8.2m? I hope this is true

I have heard a lot about this rumour, but havnt found it on a source?

Hes going to everton

Dutch sites think he is going to Everton

How can he be going to Everton?, you need real money to buy players.

01 Jul 2013 23:30:30
Thought ferlani was staying put and they had pulled the deal. Get him in canary yellow. OTBC

Evertons owners are keen to pocket the extra tv money to start paying off leans. they can't afford to buy Fer without selling bains or Fellaini, if not both.

Like the way Norwich are going around things this summer, Garridos proven, RVW is finally in the prem where he belongs, Redmond is a young Englishman who will actually get his chance in the prem, and both Toivonen and Fer are excellent additions for an ambitious team. the club seems to be run very well, too.

an exciting time to be a canary, you'd think, no?

02 Jul 2013 08:36:18
stoke are tracking him

Everton had him signed in January but he failed a medical. They signed him because Moyes was willing to sell Fellani, but now Everton aren't going to sell him, Fer is off their radar.

I hope we get Fer he looks like he's made for the prem. A really exciting player.

Is there anything anywhere to say that we have actually made a bid for Fer? Could someone post it here if there is please.

01 Jul 2013 21:08:53
Reading are in talks with released Wigan striker Franco Di Santo.

Got no more than that I'm afraid but I've posted before and been right about Wayne Bridge choosing Reading over QPR, and also Adrian Mariappa joining Reading, in the face of denials from Watford fans.

Hopefully something can be agreed this week before the pre-season friendlies begin next week.

01 Jul 2013 21:25:29
Hope Reading do sign him as I don't won't him at West Brom lol

Have di santo good luck 4 goals a season maybe 5

Di Santo is awful

Please no!

No chance, he wants PL football, if wanted to stay in the Championship then he'd have resigned at Wigan as he'd get to play in Europe.

I don't know if I've ever seen a worse player. I like Reading as a club, so I hope they don't sign him, because he's a genuinely appalling striker.

Franco di santo is a quality player but I really can't see him staying in the championship as he's 2 good tbh he just needs a fair chance which he didn't get at wigan because of aruna kone

Tbf I think Di Santo could act as a Lambert type player, obviously less goals but a good provider for the goalscorer (ALF), also with the right service in the Championship he himself could be a good goalscorer, maybe.

He had plenty of chances at wigan! In seasons past! And he never delivered he's awful

Pre-season friendlies in July and pre-season training in June. Seriously football these days is laughable.

Yeah but he wouldn't provide good service. He's greedy and would want to be the main striker. Regardless, he won't join as he's only interested in prem teams.

02 Jul 2013 13:29:22
If you're so ITK then you should log in - it's easier to become a trustworthy source.

End of arguement

he is better than pogrebnyak

Am a wigan fan di santo was shocking though he was bigger then the club and lost intrest once he got a call up from international team glad he's gone just runs around like a headless chicken might do well championship level not pl

01 Jul 2013 20:53:10
Jason kennedy has just signed for bradford city

Confirmation tomorrow.

There is guy who looks like a younger Gary Jones having his photo taken at VP as I'm typing this. Could this be Bradford's new signing?

02 Jul 2013 11:25:45
Kennedy is a done deal. been seen by a few people now. He was always coming to VP, he was nearly here in Jan but his manager convinced him to stay at rochdale I think. Which was good for them as I really think they would of been relegated had he gone. Fantastic player can wait to see what he can do in claret.

Yes he kind of does look like Jones, and has signed.

02 Jul 2013 12:37:43
Kennedy signed

02 Jul 2013 13:05:26
Mark yeats set 2 sign

02 Jul 2013 12:47:55
just confirmed by telegraph
get in good player. sorry rochdale that's another legend moving on up

01 Jul 2013 20:50:38
Middlesbrough make a move for free agent Lewin Nyatanga. The 6 foot 2 inch centre back is seen as the perfect foil for Rhys Williams.

01 Jul 2013 20:49:22
Scunthorpe have accepted a bid from Doncaster for Mark Duffy

WOW a 28 year old with most of his experience in Non league, Thanks Ryan & Dickov, I will be re-newing my season ticket, You were both right on telling us about some exciting signins. Duffy, A Spanish boot boy from RM, Rumors on Forrester and Mvoto. WOW exciting NOT-- MORE BORING

Have a look at Duffy's stats, he is 27 and a determined footballer, he will do well. Forrester an outstanding attacking midfielder, Mvoto if he chooses Doncaster, we will have an excellent centre half alongside Jones. Get a life, and still more to come. Buy your season ticket, you won't regret it I'm sure

Shut up moaning! We don't have a lot of money you would still moan of we got messi and Ronaldo!

Deal not agreed with both player and club for Duffy yet

Duffy got the 2 highest assists in league one last season and that's for scunny so how is that not a good signing

Mvoto the same CH who Donny fans called after we played you last season at the KM, saying how rubbish he was?? FICKLE FANS

Great in the air but slow on the ground with a good striker against him, wins everything in the air.

Not turned up at Oldham so he's somewhere in the UK but last week he was training at Birmingham.

I would like to take a moment and ask who the person who first replied to this would like us to sign. I've heard Barce have signed Neymar this summer so I wonder if Messi would like to come and play in Doncaster with all of our wonderful sights and sounds and fans like you. Ok i'm being ridiculous I never expected us to start signings until July so this is start. The spanish kid I admit I have never heard of but must have some quality as I hear Madrid are a bit decent. Duffy second highest assists in the league last season and a hard worker I will take that over Kyle "i'm the best player in the world in my head" Bennet. I bet if you asked a Brentford fan whether they would prefer to keep Forrester many would say yes Mvoto i'm not too keen on but has been with a premiership team and there are bigger clubs than ourselves supposedly in for him. However I would prefer to just drop by Brentford again and take mr Dean from them

Duffy was the best player on the pitch in scunny v donny game at end of last season.

Fickle fans? Of course, because when I heard we were interested in m'voto, I ran through the streets spreading the great news to the people of Doncaster. I'm not exactly pleased with the signing, but I'm not going to be one of those miserable fans who just makes their mind up instantly, I'll give him a chance. But your making out like we proper slated him, and now saying that he's the deal of the decade!

03 Jul 2013 08:01:49
Of cause Brentford would like Forrester, They are a L1 club, And does been a player with top assists last season in L1 make a good player? I don't THINK SO. But I did have a quick chat with Dikov last night at Frickley, and what he said were very encouring for us. Come on DRFC, Still would like to seee the back of Harper, and our top priority now is to get a 20 goal season STRIKER and a good KEEPER

These fans who view signings as "Crap" probably thought the same last season when Paynter, Cotterill and Jones were signed. They turned out to be ok. DRFC just need a quality striker or two now, and a keeper, then team and squad sorted.

Im going to say the same as I did last season when people were complaining about signing. Judge when the dealings are complete and when we have seen them play. Not on the fifth day of the transfer window

01 Jul 2013 20:42:10
simon davies to wba on a free transfer

01 Jul 2013 20:41:21
Think John Eustace is training with us at the mo.

Source dcfc message board member saw it on Ramsplayer. do I win a prize for the biggest mouthful of a source.

01 Jul 2013 20:39:31
After Zemmama leaving freeing up more space in terms of wages, boro will now step up efforts for a new winger.
The wages savings may also pave the way for a decent strikers with Danny Graham and Carlton Cole sounded out as ideal candidates (with wages previously being an issue) it could now go through.

It would be a good partnership cole and graham, the problem is we still have 4 strikers at the club Scott MacDonald, Curtis main, Marvin emnes and Lukas juke, it would be nice to off load Marvin emnes, Scott mac, seb Hines and parnaby there just don't cut it for me.

02 Jul 2013 04:47:49
Off load Hines? Were not exactly flourishing in the centre back department, I'd keep him, he does a steady job. Parnaby can go, never understood the signing and as for getting rid of a forward Emnes didn't cut it last season but McDonald would give us more leeway with wages.

01 Jul 2013 20:38:11
nicky shorey to join brighton and nathan ake and deulofeu and nathan ake to join on loan expect more to come after this

Nathan Ake so good you'll sign him twice at once

Yes please, though doubt it.

Nathan ake joins twice, or the parents were lazy when it came to naming triplets?!

Shorey having 2nd week on trial

That will be confusing having 2 nathan akes on the team lol

Deulofeu on loan at Everton.

Unfortunately, Deulofeu is heading to either Everton or Tottenham so we can forget this rumour immediately.

01 Jul 2013 20:33:25
swansea are hoping to bring in qpr midfielder granero but face competition from wba

01 Jul 2013 21:24:15
West Brom have no interest in Granero

Your wish list

Rehashed rumour from weeks ago, can't see it

Granero not bad signing mind better than de Guzman tbh though he played worst six games I ever seem since wc tho

No way better than De Guzman, he is good on the ball but forgets to run a lot of the time, lazy and not needed

01 Jul 2013 20:34:59
wigan want newcastles james perch.

01 Jul 2013 20:07:44
Colchester have signed 18 year old cm connor hubble from qpr today

01 Jul 2013 20:22:00
Huddersfield Town F. C. match Norwich City F. C. asking price for James Vaughan, also another couple of signings expected by Friday rumoured to be Vaughan's Norwich teammate Jacob Butterfield, who plays as a central midfielder, and another signing on the cards is Petebrough's 27 year old centre back Gabriel Zakuani, there is now an increased probability of this move to happen now Anthony Gerrard is out injured with a suspected calf muscle tear

Zakuani isn't going to Huddersfield, they haven't even inquired about him.

Butterfield would be a loan, rated highly by Norwich for the future, as we paid a lot of money in compensation for him last summer!

Which chairman has ever previously sanctioned the purchase of a player because of something as trivial as a simple calf strain. An injury that has plenty of time to heal before the season starts. Absolute tosh.

Is this the Huddersfield Town site?

Gerrard injured definitely need to bring in a defender

This is a quote from the Huddersfield Examiner todayMeanwhile sources within the club have quashed reports linking Norwich midfielder Jacob Butterfield with a move. The Bradford-born 23-year-old played under Robins at Barnsley.

Definatly need to use our squad more like. Joel Lynch, and Murray Wallace are both available center halfs. Nothing to stop us putting one of them in. that's what the club pay their wages for.

Lynch is better than Gerrard, he just needs to sort his head out and stay focused on holding his place in the team and not whinging to the manager.

Something more gone on with lynch and robins, better centre half than both gerrard and clark and robins never plays him? Bonkers if you ask me

01 Jul 2013 20:20:36
Scunthorpe have accepted a undisclosed bid from Doncaster for Mark Duffy.

Matt Sparrow to complete a move to Scunthorpe in the next 48 hours.

01 Jul 2013 20:20:33
Marvellous Trotta will be loaned out for the season by Fulham. Following a successful spell at Brentford last year, the striker is off to Bristol City this season.

Yeah, he was pretty decent at Brentford last year, but one things for certain, he will not be taking any penalties anywhere ever again, also he isn't a team player so don't think he'd do much good anywhere at the moment

Surely they would loan him to a championship club?

Bristol city are in league 1 now so get your facts right

''get your facts right'' Sorry mate what? I said they would logically loan him to a championship club for him to gain experience as he has already proven himself at league 1 level- so they wouldn't loan him to Bristol city.

^at no point did anyone say Bristol City are in the Championship. The poster said he's surprised Fulham wouldn't rather loan him to a Championship Club.

Trotta won't be going to city not bristol anyway. so behave boys. Davies will go to bolton I believe aa is off to wigan for a million. with that city will stregnthen for a serious push for championship football.

Trotta won't be going to city not bristol anyway. so behave boys. Davies will go to bolton I believe aa is off to wigan for a million. with that city will stregnthen for a serious push for championship football.

Davies and Adomah to Bolton and Wigan hardly likely Wigan have said they will not increase their offer and City will not accept it end of. Bolton have not asked about anyone so far so where you get They will sign x from is beyond me.

Oh and ps virtually none, or probably indeed any, of the Bristol City regular posters here would call Mr Trotta Marvellous we know his name is Marcello and to be honest we already have better players on the books so it is unlikely we would be interested in him it is midfield that we are looking for better players in.

Never called him marvelous trotter. think you will find that was some1 else. any way these are opinions. city should do the right thing and take a mill for aa and build. also believe Davies would score goals in championship. proven. though perhaps a bit injury prone during the last few yrs. tends to pick knocks up easily.

Davis is quality hope we keep him for league one

Take £1M when we can get more it's you that should get real. AA could be worth far more than a million if he helps us back into the championship and we won't do that if we keep the crap and sell the better players.

Ps I didn't say you called him Marvellous that was a reference to the first poster who is unlikely to be a BCFC fan.

01 Jul 2013 20:19:29
By the end of Wednesday norwich will complete the signing of ola toivonen and nathen Redmond also watch out for hooper deal

And Leroy Fer looks a possibility as well. if we can seal them all we are looking very strong for nxt season. OTBC

What is going on with the Hooper deal?

Hooper looked very happy with his Celtic team mates a they left for their pre season tour today

Hope Hooper doesn't come. Hugely overrated.

Want to see leroy fer

Leroy Fer would be an awesome signing for us. he is an upgrade of alex tettey who is a player I rate highly but Fer would be able to provide some physicality to the middle of the midfield which we lack when tettey is not fit

01 Jul 2013 19:47:43
Swansea prepared to spend nearly 20 million on Bony and Tom ince

Your having a laugh Swansea don't pay that sort of money out

02 Jul 2013 00:42:11
No if your a swans fan you'll know we've bid 10 mil on Bony and are know contemplating matching Cardiffs 8 mil bid for Tom ince, swansea have money to spend

One is 8 mil and the other around 10.2 mil and seen as the bids have been tabled it looks like they will spend the money doesn't it?

They may get an accepted bid on ince, but he's rumoured to be asking for 45k per week, which may put them off. Cardiff not so much.

People make out as if the swans never increase what they pay for players which doesn't make sense as their record fee has gone up each year, almost every swans fan can remember when David Cotterill was our record transfer for600k! And that was only under Paulo Sousa so around 4 years ago, now it's 5. 55 mil and extremely likely to be much higher come September 1st!

01 Jul 2013 20:13:13
Odemwingie spotted in Reading, The striker is thought to have been in talks and will be offered a 3 year deal

Hope so. get that mug off the baggies books. he will score you goals tho.

Was he spotted in the car park awaiting an appointment?

Ed is this true? {Ed003's Note - I doubt it}

I think not, considering he only wanted to go to qpr for stupid wages.

01 Jul 2013 20:06:59
Middlesbrough manager tony mowbray set to land top summer target Albert adomah from relegated Bristol city

Hope we start bringing in more soon zemamma gone today

01 Jul 2013 20:50:17
hope so adamoah on the right carayol on the left whitehead and leabitter in the center unstoppable UTB

I hope Boro could sign Zavon Hines. Now that he's a free agent it would be just what Boro needs : a decent striker.

Releasing zemamma was a huge mistake, we could of used him to sweeten a deal or even sell him. what a waste! but adomah would be an excellent signing, and if we get graham him and juke will be able to get on the end of an adomah cross.

Boro to sign Mohamed Bangura from Celtic also known as "the beast" or "bigfoot". This is from a good source, club scout david giggilotti and former boro powerhouse jimmy floyd hasselbaink. Another likely signing is young playmaker ben jackson. A former boro academy player was relesed from boro a few seasons back due to his height. After growth hormones he's had offers from elfsborg and united but boro to sign him by friday. From a good source!

Jimmy has nothing to do with the Boro set-up so he wouldn't know!

Who linked Albert to boro he's never been linked to them made up pish

03 Jul 2013 20:28:53
Well he isn't going to stay at Bristol City and vegetate in L1 is he?

01 Jul 2013 20:05:04
Dean Hammond is also being looked at by the Cherries

01 Jul 2013 20:02:05
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wants to make a move for experienced midfielder Danny Murphy. He wants to conclude his transfers with Simeon Jackson to join alongside Murphy however if Jackson moves elsewhere, he may pay over the odds for Danny Ings

No thanks for afcb

When has eddie said he wants a old timer with dodgy knees

Leave it out lad he's off to Fulham as a coach

01 Jul 2013 21:55:58
Rumours of a return to Fulham in a Player/Coach role for Murphy. Be great if AFCB could entice him. Rather have Jackson than Ings. It would make better financial sense too. Burnley are being greedy considering his injury record etc. Don't see anyone falling over themselves in the rush to sign Ings?

01 Jul 2013 19:58:35
Steve Tully set to sign for Exeter City's rivals Torquay United on a one year deal.

Exeter will announce a new deal for Matt Oakley this week also signing a one year deal. David Wheeler on a trial will be offered a 2 year deal by Exeter manager Paul Tisdale.

Its also expected Exeter will sign Jon Paul Pitman

David Wheeler, looked a decent player when at Staines, but will he make the step?

01 Jul 2013 21:53:53
grellas free if you want him ginge easy six points next season for iron

Aren't Torquay signing Tonge at Right-back? If so Tully will just be cover, which I can't imagine he would favour much

JPP has signed a 12 month deal at Wycombe

Tonge now agreed to sign, subject to a medical

01 Jul 2013 19:56:32

01 Jul 2013 19:21:39
Cheltenham Town are set to offer Zavon Hines a contract after he was released by Bradford.

As long as maglashan comes the other way that's fine by me

Wouldnt mind that, Endland youth international, lost his way a little. But isn't he a defender

No. Zavon Hines is a winger/forward. And a good one at that

Hines is a good player and will be a good signing for any league 2 club. Was just a bit inconsistent at Bradford so could not hold down a first team place.

01 Jul 2013 19:13:05
Albert Adomah is going to Middlesborough/Nottingham Forest, Bristol City looking to replace him with Zavon Hines.

Wigan are the only team with a concrete offer so far (been rejected)

Hes going wigan

01 Jul 2013 19:12:00
We have signed morgan on a 2 year deal. he has put a photo up on his twitter! this is a great signing and have finally brought in a proven goalscorer. Morgan you are are going to be loved by Plymouth argyle!

Good luck to Marvin - he was a real warrior for the Shrews but his weakness is his lack of composure in front of goal.

Not really a proven goalscorer. 15 in 82!

02 Jul 2013 07:40:49
Yeah, he isn't a proven golascorer but still a great signing! Good Luck Marvin. Promotion for Argyle!

Not a proven goal scorer?! who do you want rooney! In his first season in league 2 with shewsbury he scored 11 goals! and 7 in league 1! so get with it!

He's right ^ and also morgan never played 83 games for the shrews he has scored 18 in about 50

He made 82 appearances for the Shrews. Look it up if you don't believe it

He didn't play 82 games he did in fact play about 50 like the person above said

He made 82 appearances according to two separate stats web sites.

Does it really matter? all that matters is we have brought in a goalscorer!

01 Jul 2013 18:44:49
Doncaster rovers have agreed fee with Scunthorpe for mark Duffy

01 Jul 2013 17:55:00
Carlisle United are yet again delving into non league by giving another chance at league football to ex Leeds and Chelsea midfielder Michael Woods who finished last season with Harrogate town after his release from Doncaster Rovers.

Woods and Taiwo were together at Leeds and combined a 5 million transfer fee when they went to Chelsea. what a waste of money!

02 Jul 2013 11:20:07
That seems plausible, as Abbott was his academy coach when at leeds (ala tom taiwo)

Can't see it happening, Abbott wants 2 more signings ideally these are a left back and a goalkeeper, Midfield isn't a priority area.

01 Jul 2013 18:28:26
hi greetings. wigan fans.
great piece of business
thomas is a great player just did not get a run in the first team but you should like him
regards greenwell

Thanks Greenwell, looking forward to seeing him

Same ere looks promising

Theo Robinson signing for Rotherham on a season long loan from derby in the morning

Believe it when I see it!

Theo was at vale park today

01 Jul 2013 18:09:25
Nick Shorey is said to have earned himself place in the Brighton squad after a successful trial.

I'm glad, he's a good championship level LB. However, I would like the albion to sign another full back.

01 Jul 2013 18:01:58
Rotherham have had a 300k bid rejected for Swindon striker James Collins. Wolves also interested and Evans is keen to go back in with an improved offer but may wait a few weeks.

Evans will be waiting a long time then.

You'll be looking at 750k minimum for Collins given his age and potential

Hes not worth 750k as swindon are in financial mess due to that person di canio. I reckon 400k and he will be off

Take 300k his not that good

Not worth 750k & not that good, THink your find he is worth that amount, He scored 18 goals last season, Majority coming from being a sub, Scored 21 in league 2, He's better than any striker Rotherham have or have had in previous seasons, Rotherham couldn't afford him wether Swindon have financial problems or not.

You are talking Carp, collins is one of the best players we have at Town, he is young strong and bullish, he scores goals and holds the ball well, he is worth 500k IMO

You keep saying financial mess? Can you explain then? The club owe NO money to HMRC and NO money to the bank? They are yes cutting the wage bill of which was to much for division 3 now league 1 from 4 million down to 2.4 million of which is still good for the third level in football, so financial trouble NO get your facts right, I would say that Rotherham wouldn't even have a budget of 2.4 million, if anything I think the new board are right to do what they are doing so it can be a sustainable business, you obviously only listen to rumours and don't no anything about business!!

Better than any striker rotherham have had in previous seasons? Beg to differ there! Think ADAM LE FONDRE. blinds anything swindon had or currently have!

He's better than any striker Rotherham have or have had in previous seasons, so he, s better than la fondre -we won't get him for under £2 million then.

Not sure where this idea that we have financial problems comes from. It may very well be that we don't have a tonne of money, but that's nor a problem per se as long as there is little or no debt, which by all accounts, applies to Swindon

02 Jul 2013 14:02:33
Mat Richie was worth at least a million and look what we got for him if someone offers 350 thousand they would proberly sell him also aden flint 350 thousand is a great deal for city we have not spent any money yet to entice people who pay at the gate there not as silly as the one with season tickets if they only want 5000 fans keep doing e
verything on the cheap

02 Jul 2013 16:52:54
They must owe Black money they have not spent any money and they are still trying to make money by selling are best players
They still owe Black money how can brentford afford better wages than us they are trying do everything on the cheap because they still owe Black money for the club

Charlie Austin, Simon cox in the last few years, hold tight Rotherham your not the best team in L1 and you won't be eaither, there's a lot of big teams in it this year.

We owe no money to black, wray and fitton, they wrote the debt off for the good of the club total spent since they took over was 13million, the new board haven't got as much money as black hence cutting the wage bill in half, the wage bill was 250,000 per month mr dicanio was being paid 450,000 per year more than half of the premier managers don't get that, so the budget of 2.4 million is more realistic for the league, Yeovil went up this season with a budget half of ours again 1.2 million?

03 Jul 2013 10:01:58
James Collins is unhappy at Swindon and will join AFC Bourenmouth or Millwall.

Rubbish Collins will leave but it will be Wolves or a northern/midlands club

Go to Bournemuff dream on.

01 Jul 2013 17:49:47
Bolton are going to confirm the signing of Jermaine Beckford from Leicester for 1m tomorrow after the completion of signing Alex Baptiste, from Blsckpool and Robert Hall from West Ham both on free's. Also Bolton are going to make a 7m bid for Blackburn's Jordan Rhodes, and try to bring in Samba Sow from Lens

Rob hall is not free fact! under 21 compo needs to be agreed

Ok, so what are we talking a couple of 100k tops. Hardly going to blow the budget.

Jordan Rhodes 7 million keep dreaming. why would they take less than what they paid for him. wake up fool.

Bolton are 100% not interested in signing Sow. And are looking elsewhere after losing interest in Rhodes.

Why would they sell for less than what they payed because they gave him a stupid amout of wages in wages h would earn 7.5 mill if he stays at rovers till his conracts out can they afford that no if theu don't go up big rish

Due to financial fair play rules, Rovers need to get rid of some people pronto, should that mean Rhodes, well sadly it may come to that.

Very much doubt it though, can see them cancelling contracts rather than letting Rhodes go, especially to Bolton.

01 Jul 2013 17:49:23
Brighton are currently in contract talks with former England centre-back Matthew Upson. The deal is said to be worth around 15kpw and is to last one year.

Sign him for 2 years!

Good to hear, Upson was quality last season when he got match fit.

01 Jul 2013 17:42:57
baptiste seals bolton move and signs 3 year deal

01 Jul 2013 17:42:11
Hull are interested in free agent Richard dunne but it is doomed to fail as the hull treatment is unable to take his weight

Hull could do a lot worse than sign dunne.

They could also do a lot better

01 Jul 2013 17:41:13
Heres afcb new signings subject to Clearance

Dan carter -50k
Chris miller -10k
Adien salter 150
Dj Campbell -free

01 Jul 2013 17:33:25
Mark Randell dumped by League 2 favourites Chesterfield is going to sign for strugglers Plymouth Argyle which will be a major coup for the South West club

Chesterfield favourites? Not been overly impressed with their 'spend good money on players who have gone downhill recently' approach.

Plymouth may well snatch him considering he used to play for John Sheridan. Would be an okay signing at this level again.

01 Jul 2013 20:27:10
we first need a winger before we get an centre mid in

Randall has been poor the whole time he has been at chesterfield, all I can say is, good luck to whoever ends up with him next

Why do you need to get the winger before the CM than the CM before winger? Illuminati.

Randall would be a great signing for Plymouth. Whenever he was on song for Chesterfield he would be one of the best players on the pitch.

Wenever he was on song! Too lightweight, not as good as he thinks he is and only started to play when he needed a contract. don't know when you saw him! Ventress

Randall is poor shows flashes of briliance for two minutes then disappears again won't tackle jumps out the way nesh to say the least

People need to stop looking at his mistakes and look at what Randall did well. Good player in this division.

Randalls' passing ablity was amense.
He could split defences open with his through ball but he was a peterborough over, he didn't tackle or move much for the team however, if he's not played behiend the striker and infront of the cms/cdms he wouldn't play to his full potentional. As what happend with his CFC career. I think we missed a trick in letting him go tbh.

03 Jul 2013 07:19:55
Personally think Randell would be a good player for us, Sheridan would get the best out of him!

Randall did nothing well that's why he's gone

Good riddance, good luck plymouth,, you, ll need it

04 Jul 2013 07:10:37
Sheridan has Said that he wanted an attacking midfielder so maybe Randell is the man?

01 Jul 2013 17:33:24
Zemmama has left Boro. Another one off the wage bill!

01 Jul 2013 17:30:02
Millwall boss Steve Lomas is looking at bringing former west ham forward Sam Baldock to the den to partner Steve Morison up front

Don't know with Baldock he's another player who doesn't seem to stay at any club for too long! WHY? Did hear a while back that his 'ATTITUDE' was questioned? What's happened about Simon Church SL? I thought we were signing him? A 'PACEY' Forward & only 24? Surely 'WORTH' a try?

Up to SL? I wouldn't! But not up to me is it?!

I do hope soo

Sounds interesting, him or prefarably jackson, plus a good left winger and additional decent quality midfielder could give us promotion potential. No more rubbish or has beens please!

We don't want more west ham at the club

What's with all this capitals nonsense? you write like a muppet!

01 Jul 2013 17:26:36
Stevenage captain Mark Roberts reported to be seen at fleetwood earlier today.

No way he would go down a level when he is club captain and a hero at Stevenage

03 Jul 2013 02:22:14
fleetwood need a centre back and this would be ideal, experienced and a lot of know how. This would be Fleetwoods best signing apart from jeff hughes

Another great bit of business for fleetwood

Now signed mark roberts, guess he will drop down

01 Jul 2013 17:22:11
West Brom transfers:

IN:
Chris Baird - free transfer.
Goran Popov - £900,000 (Dynamo Kiev)
Yossi Benayoun - free transfer.
Scott Sinclair - loan (Manchester City)
Demba Ba - loan (Chelsea)
Nicolas Anelka - free transfer.

All true apart from benayoun which has been ruled out, also rumoured to have bid for adomah from Bristol city

Franco di santo - free

And a relegation to boot

Obvs an obsessed villa or dingle fan thinking were ganna get relegated get off here and concentrate on your own team.

Andre Ayew? Or was that just a lie

Im a wba fan and a season ticket holder thanks very much. just looking at who we are signing and who other teams are signing and its my honest opinion, we finished closer to 17th than we did to 7th in the end last season. we need to spend just to stand still. Garlick is quickly failing at his first challenge

Don't worry WBA fans! There's still 2 months of the transfer window left! We will not sign many of these and there will be players that have no rumours around them yet who we will go in for, like every year!

Sinclair and Ba -yes please, no to the others

02 Jul 2013 13:12:27
Mate we have over a month till te season starts don't panic kalou anelka, Sinclair are on there way.

01 Jul 2013 17:16:24
Bakaray Sako should be confirmed as a Fulham player within the week, allowing Kerim Frei to, disappointingly for Fulham fans, leave for Galatasaray.

It sounds as though a move for Scott Parker from Spurs is dead, as is Stewart Downing.

Bafetimbi Gomis is a possible target although Fulham are not keen on the price tag of £8m for a 28 year old and are trying to push that down to £5m-£6m. However, add ons could possibly be used in that depending on club performances, Lyon could eventually receive the price they want.

Central midfield is still the priority and are trying to save money for more funding in that department. Heard nothing since a £8m enquiry for James McCarthy of Wigan, a move back in unlikely.

Ive heard that Leroy Fer is a main target and Esteban Granero is in their swell but Mcarthy seems alright don't think Frei will leave though wouldn't want Parker or Downing as a wide player we should definatley put a bid in for Nathan Redmond although he seems to be joining Norwich. Gomis would be a good call aswell but will he link up well with berbatov does he play two up top or one in behind that is another area we need to strenghten Ruiz isn't the best their tbh he had a few good games their but their are a lot more creative players in the market atm.

Stewart Downing is just no good, he is not dead :)

Not surprised Fulham haven't heard much on the McCarthy deal at 8m, you're well short there i'm afraid. On top of which there's no way he would be interested in Fulham when top clubs are chasing him.

Mccarthy is barely worth £8m let alone more than that {Ed003's Note - Wigan think differently.}

Having seen the lad progress, particularly over the last 18 months so do I ed, seen a lot of good young players come of age at Wigan. Trust me, this lad is right up there with the best of them.

01 Jul 2013 16:53:31
Bhasera, plymouth's player of the year is being courted by colchester.

The U's are also after another left back, Bradley Garmston on loan from wba; and a season long loan for keeper Sam Walker from Chelsea is on the cards, with manager Joe Dunne confirming he was very confident the deal will be done by the start of the season

Not sure that Garmston will be back at the U's next season as Joe Dunne, according to the local paper, is looking at another Premier League club's young left back for a season long loan.

01 Jul 2013 16:44:28
spoke to the staff this morning Jason kennady will not be signing for the shakers, they was a number of big lads from abroad as well. shapeing up to having a good squad this season

have a fiver on bury this season

02 Jul 2013 11:55:22
Wow just seen mark randall at gigg lane.

Not that lazy player who couldn't crack it at Chesterfield and was an Arsenal reject.

01 Jul 2013 16:42:40
Middlesbrough are looking to take Daniel Pacheco on loan from Liverpool depending on his first team status, they also have a long sanding interest in Florent Cuvelier on loan.

Zemmamma has parted company with boro on mutual consent

01 Jul 2013 16:36:03
Bristol city Ins and Outs
Ins
Jay Emannuel Thomas
Martin woods
Marlon harewood
2 young keepers

Outs
Paul Anderson swap for JET
Davies-Bolton/Sheff Wed
Adomah-Wigan
Nyatanga-Unkown
Baldock-Unkown

SoD has already said that Harewood's agent contacted him but he was not interested

Pretty sure we need more then 2 strikers

Nooooo harewood is out of form massively

Is jay emanaual Thomas any good sure he's struggled living up to his reputation as a reserve at arsenal

Don't sign harewood sod he played 32 games last season and only scored two goals we don't want poor form signings even signing jet is poor he's a big headed flop hasn't played well since arsenal academy

JET played well for S O'D at Doncaster perhaps as Sean has said about other players it's about putting round pegs in round holes if he has been played in the wrong position he will not look good. However BCFC want to sign JET and keep Anderson so it's a moot point if we can/will get him

Doubt we will get him without Anderson going the other way as Ipswich payed 1 mil for jet if sod got the best out of him before then I trust Sean will be able to again

01 Jul 2013 16:22:19
Everton boss Roberto Martinez is interested in bringing Wigan players Ali Al-Habsi, James McCarthy and Arouna Kone with him to Goodison Park.

Wont be getting ali as he's injured

01 Jul 2013 16:18:04
Torquay United to poach Steve Tully and Matt Oakley from rivals Exeter City.

Don't mind Tully leaving
But Oakley is an outstanding player I really hope he stays with the grecians

01 Jul 2013 16:15:18
Mark Schwarzer is going to end his playing career where he started his England playing career at Bradford City.

Why would he drop all the way down there.

01 Jul 2013 17:48:11
THis may be true but Watford are talking to him as well as Almunia who's contract expired in July

He will drop down to League 1 because he will play every game he can and will also act as a goalkeeping coach and will be allowed to take his goalkeeping badges as well. Will be a good signing.

01 Jul 2013 20:06:51
Yep i'm a city fan and sorry to say way to good for league 1 on he won't to much money and city jusy won't pay him that but good look wherever you go top class keeper

02 Jul 2013 00:15:53
He didn't start at BCFC we got him from Man City if my recolection is correct

Schwarzer was signed from kaiserslautern, so I'd suggest uve got a few memory problems

02 Jul 2013 07:32:08
Clearly not a city fan. We got him from Germany for next to nothing! I hope he comes back, top quality keeper

Nope, he never played a game for Manchester City.

He made his English debut at City - but we signed him from a German team (he is German/Australian nationality)

No he didn't we brought him over from Aus

No we didn't we got him from Kaiserslauten

He did start his career in England with Bradford. Signed from Kaiserslauten and played around 15 games before being sold to Middlesborough.

Chris Kamara spotted him when playing in a trial game for Man City v Bradford. he never actually signed for Man City therefore he wasnt signed directly from them

We got him from Kaiserslauten. He was in England having a trial with Manchester City when we spotted him in a reserve match (against us?). We decided to act first and sign him from the German club.

Yes he came from Kaiseslauten and was on trial with Man City then he played 13 games for us. He's still quality and he was on my wish list for us.

01 Jul 2013 16:05:21
Burton boss Gary Rowett is interested in bringing in young Sheffield United striker Diego de Girolamo on a 6 month loan deal.

A goal scoring forward with flair would be ideal. Symes is a target man and according to GR MacDonald will be another striker if required.

Not a chance, he's too good for league 2, even at 17

Terrible rumour, we need proven goal scorers. You cannot lose Calvin Zola, Jacques Maghoma and Matt Paterson and replace all three with a 17 year kid!

Scored 3 in 6 for Italy! Defo not good enough for league 2 ;)

Coming back from a serious knee injury, when fit he'll be in the Sheffield United first team. Sorry you've no chance!

01 Jul 2013 16:03:08
Jack Hobbs to join Derby County from Hull City on a season long loan.

They won't be able to afford his prem wages

No he won't, they can't afford his wages

You wish. never going to happen.

Good for him. Joking aside we do need quality in the centre half position. Not sure if he will be our man though.

No way - will stay with Hull

01 Jul 2013 15:57:29
Zavon Hines has been released by Bradford City and is going to start talks with Portsmouth tomorrow.

Hines is a good player and will cut it comfortably in div 1. There is now way he will drop down to the bottom run of English football.

01 Jul 2013 20:36:58
Lee Hendrie to train with Portsmouth

Would love hines at pompey

But he's just played a season in the bottom RUNG he will move south deffo

Genuine news from a club insider, there are currently 15 trialists lined up for next Monday, players with league experience and others from non league backgrounds

Lee Hendrie? He's 36 and hasn't played League football since 2010. I know his wikipedia page says portsmouth were interested in signing him in 2005/06 but linking him with us now is stretching things a bit.

Hendrie plays non league and wants another crack as a pro. I think he would be useful and maybe guy does too!

Old Villa team mates

Well saying that he has been in the lower league for the last year then he could still move to Portsmouth

This is rubbish becuase there are only two players on trial

And another 17trialists in next week for a friendly against Aldershot behind closed doors

01 Jul 2013 15:51:28
Blackpool is close to be signing jose Baxter from Oldham athletic for undisclosed fee

Why would Baxter want to sign for a club that will be in League 1 next year?

The club he's currently at are in league 1 and will probably be there for years if they don't get relagated.

Why would he want to stay at a club that are in league 1

Judging by this comment I say you are a Preston fan

I didn't know Mystic Meg posted on here

Blackpool Championship, Oldham League 1 simples

So funny how people just make up another baxter thread, which team is it next week?

rather be an oldham fan than a blackpool fan with your club in a bit of turmoil players leaving and manager unhappy. priceless as it keeps players from wanting to join your club.

I think he wouldn't suit blackpool at all, too good a footballer to grace their crummy pitch (always seems to end up being one of the worst pitches in the football league). Think he will end up joining on of te top championhip teams if he has nother good season with us {Ed003's Note - Grow up.}

Will take a lot of money to take him off our hands, no release clause, 2 years left on contract, meanwhile we have no debts, 1 mill from last years cup run and a new stand being built, we don't need the money, it would take a decent offer to get him from us, but apparently he's on the verge of signing for blackpool, doncaster, sheff wednesday, leeds, blackburn, bolton and wigan. he's going to be having a very busy season!

Isnt he the one that everton realsed and are oldham the team that nearly went down

He wasn't released by Everton, he turned down the offer of a new contract.

Everton offered him new contract but not starting place, so he looked elsewhere, we signed him. Yes we nearly went down, he helped us stay up, he's contracted to us for 2 years, why let him leave for peanuts when we don't have to?

The buy out clause is meant to be around £1 Million

01 Jul 2013 15:43:43
Finnish fullback Tuomas Rannankari is set for a Plymouth Argyle FC trial period, starting at the end of the week.

01 Jul 2013 15:41:03
Blackpool transfer targets:

Andre wisdom Liverpool loan
Jack Robinson Liverpool loan
Gary Mckenzie MK dons undisclosed fee
Neal bishop Notts County free
Steven Lawless Patrick thistle undisclosed fee
Barry Bannan Aston villa free
Ross McCormack Leeds 1m
Nathan delfounso Aston villa free
Connor Wickham Sunderland loan
John Cofie Manchester United free

Who does Patrick Thistle play for? I've never heard of him ;-)

Really wish these were true but don't see the majority of them happening

We won't give you Fonz on a free mate! You'll be paying about £500k for him.

Bannan, Delfounso & Cofie will not be free's

Why would villa give away two players. I think you're in dreamland

Cofie already is a free he's been released

I do apologise for my mistake on the last comment but I do hear paul lambert has transfer listed them

As I can recall correctly delfouneso had been released by Aston villa along with bannan {Ed003's Note - They have been made available for transfer}

We rejected a 2.4 million offer from QPR for Ross McCormack so don't think you're getting him for 1 million

01 Jul 2013 18:21:06
Cofie has been released by Man Utd, so not sure who the fee would be paid to!

Mcormacks staying at leeds.

There's no way that you will get either Bannan or Delfounso for free.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Ross is going nowhere, blackpool?, lol

Ross happy at leeds!

3rd poster up, don't you mean smell the Cofie? Sorry couldn't resist

01 Jul 2013 15:40:04
Bournemouth are set to act quickly in snapping up recently released former England international Danny Murphy.

Danny's very popular as nearly every club on here claims their 'SIGNING HIM'? I wonder if he knows?

He's joining Fulham as a coach

01 Jul 2013 15:36:32
Jason koumas will sign contract with tranmere with in next couple of weeks! Those where the words from Jason himself on Saturday afternoon in new Brighton!

I would not bet on it.

What's new Brighton {Ed003's Note - It's a place on the Wirral.}

Also heard this from the horses mouth

I personally hope he does sign even if on 1 year deal! See if he still got it in the friendlies coming up! Super super jase!

Every single Transfer window this one.

Was reported last week that he's struggling with fitness and probably too long out of the game to regain a level required to play professional football.

He was a great player in his day, but you can't take an 18 month break and come back. It would take months for him to get match fit, and I don't think he's got the mental attitude to push himself that hard.

He probably doesn't need the money, and at his age it would be very hard to get back to peak condition.

I heard we looked at him and it was decided that he would probably struggle to get up to the required fitness, so Ronnie had decided not to take him on?

Judging by the amount of times I've seen him in the bookies/casino he probably does need the money.

If I had a pound for everytime I heard this i'd buy the club myself, that said it would be nice to have him back but the squad is getting increasingly older not exactly good for progresion is it

Complete lie as I am friends just his brother!. He doesn't want to get back into the game because he was stuggling with fitness when he was playing 18months ago! So he's 120% not playing again! Sorry guys {Ed003's Note - I met his brother once.}

01 Jul 2013 15:26:31
Danny ings to sign for bournemouth with wes Thomas included in the deal

Good signing the best prospect to come out of afc bournemouth academy for years just hope I can stay injury free and barndoor is a league 1 player tops

Who in there right mind will want thomas, can't shoot tries to walk the ball into the net, as for ings, had a couple of good games and was sold, shouldn't bring him back though

Ooooooo Wesley Thomas is a good league1 player who will get you 10goals a season but has bad agents

01 Jul 2013 15:26:27
Birmingham City are expecting to bring two new defenders to St Andrew's this week, with Kyle Bartley and Dan Burn set to join on season-long loans from Swansea and Fulham respectively.

My how the world has turned, Birmingham borrowing a player from Swansea, wouldn't have thought that this would happen five years ago when Brum were heading for the Prem

01 Jul 2013 15:17:52
bony is holding talks with swansea as I type this

No he's not as I type this.

Above comment! How do you know that he's not?

01 Jul 2013 15:17:40
William gros on trail at oldham

We've already signed a young striker for this year we need a proven goalscorer!

He's got a one year contract at kilmarnock I believe and we don't spend money very often

01 Jul 2013 15:20:07
Hull are keen on free agent Richard Dunne.

No they're not, it's just a story from the Daily Mail, who obviously haven't bothered to look how many centre backs we've already got.

As pie tester

01 Jul 2013 19:07:36
Must be part of Bruce's masterplan to play a 10-0-0 formation this season

01 Jul 2013 15:12:27
notts county will sign Jacob blyth after having a successful trial at the club. they will also sign former Leeds striker davide somma. the club are in talks with tranmere defender Zoumana Bakayogo. they were in talks with Coventry midfielder David bell but bell turn them down for another club.

Jacob Blyth won't sign for Notts County - he was on loan there last season and was very unconvincing

01 Jul 2013 16:31:31
Any of them but Blyth, he made me look like a good player when he came on loan, and we've got enugh up and coming strikers of our own.

01 Jul 2013 16:58:03
bylth is signing

I hope blyth doesn't sign

If david bell wants to go anywhere i'll carry him on my back all the way there

01 Jul 2013 15:09:25
Huddersfield Town have decided to meet Norwich's asking price of £1 million for striker James Vaughan. Both clubs are now trying to sort a deal for midfielder Jacob Butterfield and is expected to be agreed shortly. Expect both to be signed by Friday.

We need to focus on a defender as well. so if we get these two and another central defender then we are buzzing for the new season!

Lets hope so

Thanks for the heads up "Dean" because that's who you must be to be making comments like that. you don't know, I don't know nor do 99. 9% of Town fans. I know this is a football rumours page but you're just making 50/50 statements. MalhamTerrier

01 Jul 2013 17:11:30
No chance of signing Butterfield unless its on loan.

01 Jul 2013 17:29:33
this would be gr8 also if we could try and get wisdom we would be invincible:D!!!!!!

01 Jul 2013 19:12:34
Huddersfield. invincible? The team with the WORST goal difference in the Championship last season and the the team that too several bad hidings.

Malham Terrier

I don't think you quite have the Idea it's called a rumour page what do you expect Fleetwood Mac songs?

Don't think hudds could afford butterfield. norwich payed 1.5m for him in tribunal. wouldn't let him go for a loss after just one season.
might get him on loan though.

Vaughan going to town for 1.5mil butterfield going to town on option to stay and if you don't believe me ask dean hoyle

And your point is what pal? We had a shocking goal difference last season and still went up? Makes me laugh how people go out of there way to slag off other clubs on here, nothing better to do? Get back to your blow up doll pal and get a life!

01 Jul 2013 15:07:36
John Sheridan will make Mark Randall his sixth signing of the summer so far. He is thought to be the attacking midfielder Plymouth need. JS has worked with him before, this will be a done deal by the 5th of July. Plymouth have also signed Marvin Morgan on a two year deal, and are believed to have taken Thomas Rannankari and Martin John on trial as replacements for Oni Bhasera, who won't sign a new deal.

With who we have been signing lately. This seems possible and mark randall would be brilliant!

01 Jul 2013 14:59:01
Swansea are interested in
Christian benitez
And have ad bids accepted for both
GOMIS
BONY

I hope they can snap up the signings of bony and gomis. It might be expensive but they need a good striker up top to take pressure of michu

And me! Ill be happy with Bony and Gomis so any other signings after that then awesome!

Wait for the news of Gomis, Bony and Wakaso signing for the Swans this week. Spread your wings super Swans.

Don't get greedy, went for Gomis, dropped out because Lyon fancied Russian money so went for Bony and get mucked around by all and sundry so went back for Gomis who looks like he wants to see his contract out and make a pile as a free agent next year so we are back infor Bony again. yawn!

If that's true michu will be off to man city for sure

Better midfielders about than Redmond with more experience. However he is still a good player and would help any side.

01 Jul 2013 14:58:30
Matej Vydra is in Italy with his Watford team mates for pre season. He willbe staying at Watford at least until January as he only wants to join a top 6 premier league team and is not interested in any of the clubs that have made offers. Contrary to speculation the Pozzos WILL NOT allow him on loan to anywhere but Watford

Strange considering his agent has confirmed he is travelling to england this week to speak to swansea, sunderland, west brom, and west ham. he also confirmed udinese are willing to loan him!

Pozzo has said repeatedly he is not for loan. He is for sale to anyone who meets the asking price.

So far it looks unlikely anyone will. I wouldn't bet against Vydra back at Watford next year.

His agent says a lot of things, most of them rubbish.

Pozzos have said often enough Vydra will only be sold when a offer meets his price.

His agent does seem to talk before thinking quite a lot. I dare say some of the bigger agents are waiting to take over Matty's affairs.

Only vydra and the pozzos will truly know what's going on here. I'm a wfc fan and I manage to find out most things with a bit if digging. But no wfc fan will know what's going on with vydra unless they know him personally. All at wfc would love him to stay but we will have to wait. But I would ask other wfc fans to stop denying other roumors as they cannot be 100%

01 Jul 2013 21:01:31
So I'm sure he wants to play for Watford in front of small crowds he will go to any side who puts up the money he won't want to stay

There is no better place than watford for his development. No better manager to help improve your game as a young striker than Zola, but understandable if he does leave for £15m+. Watford have just as good replacements lined up in Fabbrini and Acuna and possibly Ighalo.

I genuinely have no idea what's going on with him. However, personally, given the strikers we are looking to bring in (Acuna, Ranegie, Ighalo, Fabbrini) and already have (Deeney, Forestieri, Ikpeazu - for any doubters look up Ikpeazu's scoring record for Reading u18s, he's immense) I'm not too worried about Vydra staying or going. I think it would do him well to stay with us, as he clearly does not have the fitness to go a season, and will probably bench warm at any top club (barring perhaps, Everton, who desperately need to strengthen their strikers), but he clearly is not committed 100%, and that ain't good enough.

01 Jul 2013 14:56:43
Dan Burn going to Birmingham and Yeovil now looking at two fairly untried central defenders as replacements. One from Aldershot and the other from Oxford.

The author suggests an unknown central defender from Oxford? We have Raynes and Wright. Both under contract and its unlikely to be Raynes. So if its Jake Wright, he was the best central defender in Div 2 last season and would cost a pretty penny. Just thought, we have released Michael Duberry, so he is a free agent and not attached.

Unlikely as Gary Johnson has said he will go for 2 young premier league centre backs on one year loans. Not Wright as he doesn't fit the young and hungry category Gary looks for.

Johnson's hoping to get two loans in from a Premiership club & one of these is almost certain to be a centre-half.

All of the shots' 4 centre-halves from last season have found clubs already so seems unlikely.

01 Jul 2013 14:54:38
McGugan to Ipswich deal hinges on wages. Player likes MM and is best mates with Luke Chambers, he's also convinced the team can challenge for promotion.

No contact has been made with DJ Campbell yet, as Ipswich must prioritise covering at least one GK and a player capable of playing right back first. However, MM is becoming frustrated with the Stearman negotiations as Wolves hold out for a transfer fee close to £1m.

01 Jul 2013 16:55:04
Doubt it. Just because McGugan is best friends with Chambers doesn't mean he's coming to us

Where have you got this from?

He has signed for Watford. What a brilliant post.

Your a really reliable source! Can people stop posting guess transfers.

Very reliable he's signed for watford lol

He's signed for Watford actually keep up!!

01 Jul 2013 14:52:06
Rumours of Callum Kennedy joining AFC Wimbledon from Scunthorpe. Surrey born lad and a left back so maybe some mileage in this one.

Rumours he failed a medical at Oxford.

There not rumours, he did fail a medical

02 Jul 2013 12:14:26
Callum Kennedy has passed a medical at kingsmeadow.

02 Jul 2013 13:43:15
According to the local Scunthorpe press he never had a medical he was at a training session.

{Ed029's Note - No links to media please.

02 Jul 2013 13:58:05
Callum Kennedy to Wimbledon is a done deal. Expected to be unveiled today or tomorrow

Scunthorpe media Suggests Kennedy actually failed to agree personal terms with Oxford, unclear whether this is actually covering for a suspect hamstring. Seems like a good signing if injury free, will hopefully bring him in on a one year deal with options.

02 Jul 2013 20:52:53
ii think we need another striker don't you think mr laws like kevin kyle or davide somma and get nunez back is available

03 Jul 2013 10:39:09
I've heard from local media (club journo and fan), that callums wife lives in wimbledon, he wants to return south

Sounds like another Hussey to me. Could be a very bad move.

Now confirmed as signed! Neal is putting together a cracking team for the season.

01 Jul 2013 14:36:46
Nathan Redmond looks set to join Norwich after he decided to choose them over Swansea, another great capture from CH, and with Ola Toivonen and Leroy Fer looking ever more likely to sign any day now the future is looking very promising for the Canaries, can't wait till next season now. OTBC

Quite glad really. Redmond would be behind Routledge, Dyer, Hernandez and Lamah in the pecking order anyway.

He would only be behind the pecking order for a short period of time, much like he will be behind Pilkington, snodgrass, and I'd assume Elliot Bennett. Think Redmond has enough about himself to break into any team below the top eight though, personally.

Lamah isn't at swansea anymore

Lamah is on an 18 month loan so is still at swansea!

01 Jul 2013 14:17:49
Redmond set for medical. odds on Gary Hooper moving to Norwich slashed to 1-2 so looking more and more likely! OTBC

01 Jul 2013 14:13:07
Nile Ranger (free) and Ross Mccormack (£1m) due for talks at Blackpool over the next couple of days. Gary MacKenzie also looking to conclude negotions.

Mccormacks going to cost a bit more than that

As a blackpool fan I will gladly take Mckenzie and McCormack but Ranger is a no-no as he is a bad boy

Nile ranger possible. ross mcormack no chance

Word is a fee is agreed for McCormack which could be as much as £1m

Word is Ross is staying at Leeds

01 Jul 2013 13:49:41
Stoke set to beat Hull in the race to sign £5 million Burnley striker Charlie Austin. Source: Burnley Express newspaper.

Dont want him, much to slow we need pace all around the pitch.

Stoke, oh dear sorry Austin

I have a feeling that Stoke may well struggle this season, clearly less money to spend under Hughes due to over spending during Pulis reign.

He and agent know he will get more time on pitch with Hull - so why go to Stoke

01 jul 2013 22:52:39
kevin davies burnley

Because Stoke will stay up. the end.

I don't think that stoke will stay up. You have a manager who hasn't done anything since he left Blackburn, and a team who only know long ball

Stoke to go down this season under Hughes, don't see why playing for Stoke would be preferable to playing for Hull.

Stoke City will not get relegated. Hughes will do really well this coming season and hull fans I'm sorry to say you will most likely be relegation favourites!

If austin goes to hull expect matty fryatt to be going in the other direction as part of the deal. Private source.

We have a squad who didn't play long ball at previous clubs, we just had a manager who forced it upon them.

I think I'd speak to Fulham fans before claiming Hughes has done nothing since Blackburn?

Hughes was only poor at QPR, and so has every other manager at QPR that followed him - more of an issue with the owners? Austin would probably prefer Stoke to Hull as he wouldn't have to live in Hull, which I expect would be a considerable bonus.

I'm sure if Burnley can get £5m we'd take it.

01 Jul 2013 13:46:41
Sunderland want Inter Milan youngsters Alfred Duncan, Daniel Bessa and Ibrahima Mbaye.

Need to increase our price to match inter's for duncan

Deals for Mbaye and Duncan look to be dead in the water

01 Jul 2013 13:46:23
Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed terms with Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner and the striker now has to decide if he wants to move.

01 Jul 2013 13:45:44
Sunderland are lining up a loan swoop for Inter Milan's young attacking midfielder Daniel Bessa.

We'll only get bessa on loan

01 Jul 2013 13:45:28
blackburn and derby both want richard dunne

01 Jul 2013 13:43:37
Swindon's Darren Ward set to be unveiled as Brentford's new signing by the end of the day

Very good attitude good in the air, really nice guy these are all the pluses, the negatives are very slow and panics on the ball can't pass for toffee, will get found out with his lack of pace if he come up against a fast forward. Good luck to him he obviously didn't fancy being captain and being a good leader for the young lads. Might come back to bite him in the backside.

End of what day, its now 5. 35 and no announcement.

Good leader, not the best player okay for league 1 hasn't got the ability for championship tough

Father in law passed away, wife wants a return to London, less money but a two year contract. Good luck to him, thought he did a great job for town last season.

Like the previous guy posted its now Tuesday? And previously posted at the end of the day (monday)ward to become a brentford player? We are still waiting 15 hrs later?

Stumbling block with ward and brentford? Going to brentford he has to take a pay cut. Ha ha lol and they are shouting how big the budget is at brentford they can't afford to pay him what he gets at Swindon. Lol

Brentford have said they will only pay a big wage to staff or someone who is worth the trouble for it they ain't going to let the player decide what wages he wants he's obviously not worth the wages he is on now we do have the money there not going to splash out if its not worth it he will be backup player that's all.

To the guy that posted at the close of play ward will sign for brentford we are now still waiting three days later?? This is getting boring

Uh to the bloke laughing at Brentford not being able to afford to pay Ward what he is on at Swindon, you seem to be forgetting the reason he is leaving is because Swindon can't afford to pay him that wage either.

For your information my friend they are still paying him and want to keep him, its wards choice as he wants to get back to the old smoke jellied eals and pie and mashalright my son or geezer, cocker.

You are wrong buddy we want him out because we can bring in a couple of youts for the same money and KMAC likes kids

01 Jul 2013 13:40:51
Nathan Redmond set to sign for norwich this week for 2m and add ons of 1.2m. Leroy fer also looks a likely signing after the club have been heavily linked to the player who's agent has said he will move to the the premier league.

Leroy Fer would be a huge signing for NCFC, let's hope this rumour has legs

01 Jul 2013 13:31:28
Ben coker on trial at southend (Another Col you reject for the seasiders)

I do believe col you have just signed a sufc reject in sanchez watt?! They come to us because they get seen by more than a thousand fans each match!

Don't think you rejected Watt, I think his loan from Arsenal expired! We released Coker!

Sent Watt back early, he was awful

We had option to sign watt, and did not take it.

02 Jul 2013 13:15:28
Watt was SHOCKING when he was at Roots Hall.

01 Jul 2013 13:28:57
Crystal Palace have agreed a fee for Leicester City's
New Zealand striker Chris Woods. Woods who only jointed Leicester in January, but the Fiblets see a chance to treble their money in just 6 months too good to turn down.

If palace did make an offer can defo see wood signing for them as his dad is his agent and made him sign for leicester because he loves a pound note so a chance of premiership football for his son and another cheque in his pocket would make him one happy daddy

Would like this but Noway is it going to happen

Would be great to partner Gayle. if we get him!?

01 Jul 2013 16:34:27
Take him on a free please, he is useless.

He's not good enough for the Prem, didn't cut it at the baggies!

He was only 18 when at WBA. 5 years ago

Leicester lost £32m last year. Why pay £6m for Wood when they'll be giving away a lot of their squad just to meet financial fair play rules? The Palace owners are far too sharp to fall for that.

02 Jul 2013 08:53:42
Crystal palace are apparently prepared to pay 5m for jonjo shelvey from Liverpool source from tv this morning

01 Jul 2013 13:28:13
Michael Laudrup shuns Wilfried Bony for Belgian star Nacer Chadli who is seen as the better option. Newcastle were interested in Bony but have turned their attentions to Darren Bent who is seen as a more prolific proven option. This could leave the way open for Stoke City to get Bony at £10m. This would also result in Peter Crouch being released with a deal to West ham being mooted. Newcastle are also extremely interested in James Tomkins and West ham have been officially approached for the young academy CB who Alan Pardew knows from his spell with west ham

Utter nonsense how can a winger be seen as a better alternative to a striker. Also Swansea are prepared to pay over 10mil for Bony and the deal is close to happening. Stoke cannot afford Bony really as Hughes said we need to offload someone first.

Stoke can easily afford bony if they wanted too. That is a stupid stupid comment to make

01 Jul 2013 13:27:38
SOD has publicly said former Doncaster left midfielder Martin Woods is currently down training with us.

I assume this is with a view to us signing him.

01 Jul 2013 15:03:55
GOD Help you, he's rubbish.

He's a great solid midfielder when he's fit, which in the last few years has been very rare

His nick name with us was SICKNOTE.

He has no right foot, thinks he has the skill, very poor player

Good player when he's fit.

01 Jul 2013 13:23:06
Yeovil Town are in talks with Peterbrough over the signing of winger nathaniel mendez-laing, with lewis young possibly going the other way to peterbrough

01 Jul 2013 13:17:54
Does anyone one know Andreas cornelius's number for next season is or could be?
Rumour surrounding Craig Conway in a swap deal with Victor Wanyama could be on the cards, Neil Lennon as a great admirer of Conway and tried to bring him to Celtic once before. That will mean to complete the 12.5 mil Celtic ar asking for it looks like 11 mil is down on the table and Conway.
Ince could become a Cardiff player as soon as next week, he is taking time for any other offers to be set otherwise a split desision between Cardiff or Blackpool.
Meanwhile the situation concerning Oscar Cardozo is his wage, Cardiff have the bucks but the weekly wage is an tough obsticle to tackle. They also need to scare of man city for his signature.

True Conway has been offered in a cash plus player exchange. Craig also wants to join celtic so this will happen if a deal is completed

Corner plays #29 for current club as its his lucky number. Guessing he will wear the same number at Ccs

Probably 10

01 Jul 2013 13:17:46
According to Birmingham mail Redmond has signed for Norwich 2mill plus add ons

01 Jul 2013 13:17:22
leeds utd to sign 3 players this week
tommy rowe from peterbrough
noel hunt free transfer
matt mills from bolton.

Bolton should accept whatever Leeds are willing to offer for Mills. He can then at least sit out next season in their treatment room and get a cripple off Bolton's wage bill.

01 Jul 2013 13:08:09
Forsyth offically signs for the rams. Radio Derby's Owen Bradley has tweeted the Dunne to Derby rumours are not true.

They have already said that derby are interested in dunne and that we have offered him a contract

01 Jul 2013 13:02:57
If John Brayford leaves Derby then John Flanagan from Liverpool will be his replacement.

He will stick with freeman

Who has he moved too

01 Jul 2013 12:57:33
Romuald Boco is on Walsall's Radar but face competition with Chesterfield and Walsall are also on the verge of signing Matt Green from Mansfield

Thats where your wrong signing for birmingham

Not coming to Chesterfield for sure offered him a deal he turned it down

Right let's get something clear Boco came for talks and was OTT in his demands and attitude and that was from the top ( not PC higher up ) let's move on he should not wear a CFC shirt

He had trial at blues that's all and a coach at blues has recommended him to dean smith not considered for championship football.

Greenie has signed for the blues this morning. Thanks Greenie for what you did for MTFC and you will be welcomed back any time.

01 Jul 2013 13:00:51
Former West Ham, Ipswich, Yeovil midfielder Gavin Williams to sign 1yr deal for Exeter this week.

Paddy Madden is not going anywhere Gary Johnson and the player himself has said he is staying

What's Paddy Madden got to do with Gavin Williams signing for Exeter?

Haven't laughed as much in ages cole to ipswich, priceless who makes this up

Maybe a replacement for Oakley if he goes

Great player hope this is true:)

If you want to reply to a post, go to the bottom of it to reply, not the to

It's true mate. Trust me. Super Gav will sign for Exeter shortly

01 Jul 2013 12:51:12
been to see bury train this morning, chris sedgewicke is on trail also heard zuber wants to sign but waiting to see if bournmouth will pay up is contract

Good news for bury regarding Tom sores, a few years ago one of the best palace players

Yes he took his time, thought a better deal might be on offer elsewhere but finally signed up.

Hopefully we can sign up Nicky Ajose, Mckenna, Zuber and a few more.

Not Ajose, he's not the player he was in the promotion season.

01 Jul 2013 12:34:26
Martin Allen to announce new signing of cody macdonald at 3:00 today. Big Range rover outside Priestfiled Gillingham looks like Akinfenwa old Motor. Heres to hoping he is just using the parking to shop in Gillingham, good league 2 player but bit part league 1 player and we really could strengthen other areas of the team

01 Jul 2013 14:34:33
was seen in Cheltenham this morning, surpossed to be signing for them.

01 Jul 2013 16:02:23
Hasn't been announced yet on website

He is probably getting KFC.

Now looking odds on its Akinfemwa, delayed signing till Tuesday

Looks like macdonald may have been offered subsantially better deal elsewhere but KSN are reporting Akinfenwa is in talks. Shame as Cody offered us something different and Akinfenwa and Kedwell up front is screaming pace, movement, instinctive finishing, getting onto flick ons. oh wait

If that's the case we have already gone backwards and its not even the start of the season! Great job Gills

01 Jul 2013 21:46:17
KSN appear to have got something right, but Cody could still join us

01 Jul 2013 12:49:30
Charlton are on the verge of signing 26 year old Gary dicker.

This would be a good move for the ex-Brighton midfielder.

01 Jul 2013 12:48:33
norwich city have won the race to sign nathond redmond from birmingham city. the 2million pound deal will be announced today

01 Jul 2013 12:41:55
Burnley close to deal to sign Gary Taylor Fletcher on a 1 year deal after his release by Blackpool

He hasn't been realsed

He wants a 3 year deal that's why he is not staying at blackpool, because we offered him 1 year

But he doesn't look like signing a new deal and Is therefore a free agent.

I really hope this isn't true

02 Jul 2013 08:42:39
Burnley won't offer 3yr deal probs get 2yr if this goes through I don't think he is good enough for burnley does not fit the profile of the players burnley like to bring in

01 Jul 2013 12:40:31
Therry Racon of Millwall who was on loan at Portsmouth last season is expected to sign for Bradford City. portsmouth wanted to sign him permanently but could not and would not meet his wage demands.

01 Jul 2013 16:55:35
zavon hines has left Bradford city his contract was not renewed

Hines on his way to pompey

01 Jul 2013 12:36:07
Anthony Griffith negotiating his release from his final year contract at Leyton Orient and will sign for Port Vale this week.

Stephen Jennings is likely to sign for Orient this week and Russell Slade will step up his bid to sign Shaq Coulthirst on a seasons loan from Spurs but this won't happen without Vilas Boas say so.

These are likely to be Orient's last two signings before the start of the season.

Looks like this has gone cold for now, Griffith will remain with Orient but don't rule out a loan back to Port Vale.

Jennings is keeping Russell waiting offer has been made RS won't wait much longer as he wants his squad in place by Friday weeks friendly also Coulthirst still looks like it will happen once AVB is back from holiday.

01 Jul 2013 12:23:57
anything on pogrebnyak? are he staying or leaving, to WHO?

Going hopefully.

01 Jul 2013 12:13:47
Shrewsbury to sogn midfielder Danny Murphy on a free transfer following his release from Blackburn

No chance we would pay him the wages he would want

Going back to fulham. dream on

Going to the Shrews? No chance. looking to stay in the championship

We don't want him

No chance. If he dropped down to league one he would come back to his beloved crewe!

He can come to the shrews as ballboy

01 Jul 2013 12:12:18
Hi Ed. Any news on where Pogrebnyak is set to go? Are there coming some CB´s to WBA?

{Ed029's Note - No idea about Pog at the moment. The club have agreed to let him go if they get a sensible fee. Can't speak for WBA.

No cb coming towba. dawson will play a big part next season and with tama staying put there is no space or need to spend money. chris baird has been linked but we only want him if we move tamas out.

01 Jul 2013 12:12:18
Adebyo Akinfenwa seen in Cheltenham this morning. He could be a CTFC player by the end of the day joining Luke Rooney who wants to stay local rather than join Crawley.

Rooney is from Rotherhithe, South East London and is always back around the area when he gets the chance so a move to Crawley would make more sense as it is closer to home

01 Jul 2013 14:04:19
Luke Rooney lives in Kent

Why oh why do football fans think the world revolves around sentiment? Like any other footballer, he will move based on how much football he will play and how much he will get paid, not on where he would be living.

Akinfenwa will be rejoining Gillingham.

Trained with Gillingham and Martin Allens toaster today.

01 Jul 2013 12:07:25
AVFC NEWS Leaked!

Jimmy Kebe may be on his way to Norwich. However a second Premiership club (rumoured to be Fulham) have also made an enquiry

Apparently redmond deal is done so no need for any more widemen with snoddy pilks and benno aswell as the murphys

I hopw the murphys get a good chance.

01 Jul 2013 11:58:46
Charlton are set to sign left midfielder Elliot grandin following the release from Blackpool.

I thought he had already signed a 3 year contract for a club in the Middle East? He has been looking to move there for a while

Lol that made me laugh, he has gone home to France and does not want to come back to the uk

01 Jul 2013 11:39:06
Eddie Howe expects several new signings in the coming days rumoured to be Simeon Jackson and Danny Ings

Since when was 2 several?

01 Jul 2013 11:33:31
Liverpool hoping to land Nathan Redmond from Birmingham for £2 million

Redmond also interesting Crystal Palace and Southampton

Wrong, he will either go to Swansea or Norwich (probably Swansea ) liverpool will be more interested in other signing that are priorities

Just signed for norwich

Is that the same Nathan Redmond who is having a med at norwich & paying £ 3.2 mil for

Just looked everywhere for a sign of him signing for Norwich and by the looks of it, No he hasn't. admittedly as a southampton fan I don't want him but I do rate him and I hope he goes to one of these clubs. but it hasn't happened yet has it :)

He's off to Everton

Redmond off to Norwich

Right! I can confirm that he's not going to Norwich. Everton have been in talks this morning.

He would be better off going to Southampton out of all those teams just look who they have produced i. e Shaw, JWP, Bale, Walcott, AOC, Dyer etc
and this is coming from a Swansea Fan

If Liverpool sign him, given their recent English signings, it'll probably be for more like £12 million. They like over-paying for young British talent.

He really ain't that good to hot and cold proforamce wise for me I prefer matty Phillips or ince from championship

Really would not like to see Redmond at palace the most overated rubbish I've seen would rather see someone that is consistan and that can be more of a danger in front of goal.

If Redmond had have come through the southampton youth system he would have been sold by now.

Redmond going to norwich

01 Jul 2013 11:30:59
Luke McCullough to join up with Bristol Rovers on trail later this week

Is he out of contract with Man United?

Released by ManU

George rigg is on trial with the gas

01 Jul 2013 11:28:01
Rovers to announce trio signings today and they are forrester, furman, mvoto

01 Jul 2013 11:27:55
Huddersfield Town may have a back up plan if James Vaughan does non sign - French born Moroccan International striker Yousef El Arabi - currently at Spanish club GranadaCF. He has been asked to join Towns forthcoming trip to Southern Spain for training. He is beleived to be the mystery Spanish based player so much has been talked about.
Joining them in Spain as a trialist will be Barca B and former Sheffield Wednesday loanee Rodrigo Lozano (aka Rodri) and also a unnamed Central Defender from Zaragoza.

El Arabi is contracted until 2016 and valued at £5million so what stuff are you on dreaming this up? The Barca guy might be on for a loan but he didn't settle or perform when on loan at Wednesday. For me it's Vaughan or a big intake of breath and back to square one for our main striker.

Norwich City have just signed Ricky van Wolfswinkel. now I can see James Vaughan coming to town :) happy days!

01 Jul 2013 11:22:37
Former Liverpool Midfielder Danny Murphy is set to sign a 1 year contract with Tranmere Rovers following his agreed release from Blackburn Rovers

01 Jul 2013 13:07:31
Good joke q

01 Jul 2013 14:02:20
Not trut but good joke

If the rumour is true it would be a cracking signing for a club in League One. It would also add a lot more creativity to the midfield.

He's been offered a trial that's all

Dannyn Murphy to Tranmere If only that was true. He is brilliant no matter what his age. Bring Jason Koumas with him. Age does not matter. Look at Ian Goodison and Andy Robinson - two of Tranmere's best players, both older than the others but experience to help younger players settle in League one
Please let it be true

01 Jul 2013 11:22:09
Isaac Osbourne is currently training with Northampton Town, at their camp in Novigrad Croatia, with a view to a move back to the midlands after a couple of years in Scotland.

No he isnt

Is he any good?

01 Jul 2013 11:20:43
Reading have contacted Sporting CP about Eric Dier and a deal looks close. Despite interest from top Premier League teams last season, Dier knows that it would be unlikely he would go straight into a first team in the Premier League and he feels that a move to the Championship will make him more visible to the England setup. The intent shown by Reading signing Drenthe to go into a squad with the likes of Pogrebnyak shows intent that Dier feels could help see them in the Premier League as early as 2014-15.

Reading and Sporting have a good relationship after transfer negotiations last season when their captain, Daniel Carrio transferred tot he Madejski. Dier will be the second player to transfer from Sporting to Berkshire in two seasons.

So if you deal with a club once its a good relationship. I'm guessing arsenal players are Always going to Manchester united now van persie went there. Clearly watching the u20 world cup and getting carried away. The best thing is for him to stay in Portugal that way it might mean more u20/u21 players go abroad which will only be good for the national team

01 Jul 2013 16:44:02
reading to sign striker before tour of portugal

01 Jul 2013 11:16:12
Swansea are close to signing Mubarek Wakaso. The Ghana Midfielder is at the Liberty holding talks. Watch the Space.

Beastie

Can also play striker, him and bony will be a great strikeforce.

Good deal if it happens.

01 Jul 2013 11:07:16
Sammy Ameobi to join Middlesborough on a season long loan as first team football at St James' Park isn't looking likely this season

01 Jul 2013 11:06:38
What happened to the players Motherwell were supposed to get on loan from legia warsaw as part of the Ojamaa deal

As far as I'm concerned that wasn't part of the deal

01 Jul 2013 11:01:03
Southampton are extremely close to finalising the signing of Charlie Austin for a deal around £5m

Would love Redmond to come too Saints. wicked player

Saint Christopher89

He said Austin :L

Would be a great signing

I'd prefer not to have him. why?

Want some continental excitement. is austin really going to get us to europe?

Austin? he turn us down in league one bc we didn't meet his ambitions but burnley did?

01 Jul 2013 10:56:19
Ryan Harley to sign for Crawley from Brighton.
Matt Hurley having medical at Brighton city today.
Darren bent interests Fulham and Southampton but put off by villas asking price.

There is no way that southampton would consider signing Darren Bent! How do you people come up with these crazy rumours?

Southampton aren't interested, they don't buy old players that's not the way Cortese work.

1. Ryan Harley is s***, no-one would want to sign him
2. No-one cares about Whitehawk
3. Fulham are the only likley bidders for Bent

01 Jul 2013 10:55:02
Millwall to offer Danny Murphy the chance to move back to London after the veteran midfielder left Blackburn.

TRUE or RUMOUR & WAGES?

A nice 'DREAM'! & Would DM want to come to MFC? Still SL does know a lot of players!

How many more. Nick Bailey and Danny Murphy. We still have Trotter, Abdou, Wright, St Ledger. How many wages are we going to pay.

Sane for N'Guessan, Keough, Marquis, Tyson, now Morisson, then we have Haynes, and some Geezer from Peter borough.

Driver, Croft, and still have Feeney, Henry. We can only afford 25 players, so basically who moves out. Batt made way for Morisson. Think please.

We could not afford Murphy's wages also St Ledger is a free agent now he went back to Leicester then was released also Tyson was sent back to Derby at the end of the season they are NOT Millwall players

Clearly you don't follow millwall. Tyson and st ledger were loans and are no longer at millwall.

I you think the likes of nguessen, maquis and wright are good enough your deluded!

Tyson was a loan and is now back with derby. And st ledger was a loan from Leicester city and is now a free agent.

FORGET MURPHY! If anything I would have Bailey first he's a 'REALISTIC' signing! And SL please 'FORGET' trying to sign Haynes, he's not the answer at all! If anything I would go for Simon Church who will be out to 'PROVE' himself with Reading in the Championship as well! IMO!

N'guessan woolford to go marquis out on loan maybe osbourne out too

And we don't have st ledger

We haven't got Tyson or st ledger!

Making the point that we have so many names and only a certain amount for the wage bill. Trotter, Wright, Abdou all on the wage bill. Then you have Smith, is it realistic that we will get another 3 Midfielders.

Croft or Henry, will they be willing to be bench players. Morisson, Keough, N. Guessan, Marquis and the young players up front, Easter. It doesn't fit that we will get another striker unless 1 or more of the above go on Loan, or are sold. Haynes maybe if we can P/E N'Guessan.

St Ledger was thinking of playing with Millwall till Jackett left.

We need 25 players minimum for a season - think of duty / standby for each position. Goalies OK, defenders OK, midfield not OK and strikers probably need another - we probably need at least 3 more players and that's not allowing for anyone else that may leave or that SL does not want to keep or wants out on loan. To earlier post - look how many we had in the Lge 1 promotion season - nearer 30 on books. Alex.

25 Max, except development. Then there is the financial fair play. Most of these rumours were meant to be finalised to-day. Glad to see that the rumour mill seems tighter now.

Bailey, Haynes and Croft are traing with us, only Croft seems to be definite. Haynes did not look to be ready to train in the photo I have seen.

2 Goalkeepers, 6 Defenders, 7 Midfielders and at least 5 strikers, plus three development players. not much wriggle room. Racon looks to have gone that leaves one midfielder. I haven't counted Feeney and Woolford in there.

Bailey and Haynes are NOT training with us, they've just had talks.

As for Lee Croft he IS training but only upon his request to keep himself fit, hey may or may not earn himself a contract we shall see, but Croft asked to train with us!

Really bailey is in london but not training with millwall you are truly deluded, a small FA cup run and a bit of money and we are signing every player on a free.
we need to get this in perspective we have dwindling attendance and a new manager who might know a few players, but what is he going to pay them with shirt buttons?
your right FFP rules are now in we will be lucky to sign any players due to the amount we are paying our current crop!

01 Jul 2013 10:51:28
Paddy Madden to Reading
Steve Sidwell to Wigan
Rob Kiernan to Brentford
Noel Hunt to West Ham
Matt Jarvis to Newcastle
Marvin Emnes to QPR
Dean Whitehead to Bournemouth
Harry Forrester to Doncaster
Carlton Cole to Ipswich

Just shows West ham ambition

Awful rumours esp Cole to my club Ipswich no chance

Madden as already said he's staying at Yeovil
Whitehead is having a medical at Middlesbrough
Cole is signing for hull city

I hope Carlton Cole isn´t coming he´s a bit of a donkey!

I think whitehead has agreed to join middlesborough

Noel Hunt is off to Leeds

01 Jul 2013 15:52:59
Don't think madden would leave Yeovil for reading lot bigger championship sides after him

01 Jul 2013 16:36:29
I would drive emnes to QPR my self but mobray rates him highly so can't see him leaving to be honest

Paddy madden lovely gubly

Sorry mate but I think Reading are probably the biggest championship team, alright not in terms of history, but by being the favourites for the championship due some big signings and a great manager.

Rob Kiernan to Brentford done well for us on loan before getting injured, be happy if we signed him he can play centre Defence or holding midfilder.
You Reds

Kiernan signed a new improved contract at Wigan i'm afraid. May send him out on loan again, but I am assuming that depends on who comes in.

Kiernan signed a new contract, maybe back to the Bees on loan?

Come on UWE get Rob Kiernan from Wigan on a season long loan if he's not for sale, he can play in the front of back four or central defender class player, be even better if we could buy him as he's only 21 y/o as well.
YOU REDS

01 Jul 2013 10:41:34
Danny Murphy set to sign for Crewe after leaving Blackburn this morning

His wages are ridiculously high around 40k a week at Blackburn. Our whole squad's weekly wage will not surpass that figure by much. as much as I would love him here I just think he's not realistically going to come. Pursue Marlon pack, Inman and Aneke I say and also use the Celtic links!

01 Jul 2013 10:31:49
Cody McDonald to sign a year long loan with shrewsbury with a permemant deal at the end of the season - is a true rumour

It is, very close to being sealed as well, seems like a decent signing for us.

01 Jul 2013 14:06:58
How can it be a loan? He was released by Coventry on Friday and expected to sign for Gillingham

Would be a good signing might actually get 15 to 20 goals

NOT TRUE. He is at Gillingham today ready to sign! Wait for announcement in next 2 hours!

01 Jul 2013 16:04:05
If it is true (which looks likely) he will sign a contract not a loan because he got released by coventry.

Signed for Gillingham.

Press conference tomorrow (Tuesday 11am) to announce his + one more signing.

He was on a three year deal at coventry and they can't afford to pay him off so he is still a coventry player until otherwise

01 Jul 2013 17:02:41
Cody McDonald will sign for Shrewsbury after being pictured taking part in pre season training. He will reject Gillingham for the shrews to start a new chapter in his career. COYB

The picture doing the rounds wasn't Cody, whilst the Shrews (and Gills) were training, Cody Mac was actually chatting on .

01 Jul 2013 10:30:33
Marvin Morgan training at Cheltenham, meant to be signing permanently.

He will sign for Plymouth

01 Jul 2013 12:25:30
He has signed for Plymouth!

Signing with Plymouth announced.

Signed for Plymouth. Your source needs specs!

01 Jul 2013 10:26:37
Argentinian full back Gino Peruzzi is flying into the uk this week for talks with interested parties which are believed to be Sunderland, Manchester city, Cardiff city and Southampton.
Sunderland seem to be in pole position but reports in South America say that Cardiff have made a late inquiry for the player.

Deal already agreed he will be a sunderland player next season

Done deal Sunderland!

Maybe but not yet

01 Jul 2013 10:23:17
Will Grigg has now been confirmed as a Brentford player after leaving league 1 rivals Walsall.

Move shows lack of ambition

No the move shows he has got ambition. he's moving to the side that finish 3rd last season and just missed promotion and who will be moving on 2016 to a new 20000 seater stadium.

Depends what other offers were on the table. appears to be a striker exodus at walsall so probably not a terrible move

01 Jul 2013 14:04:34
He's was offered a four year contact at Walsall, how is that a lack of ambition?

Glad he's gone, a proper striker can be selected now

New stadium in 2016 fair play. just in time for his 3 year contract to run out and trust me I've seen this lad over the past 3 years and you will not be extending his contract he is ten a penny but good luck Brentford rather you get promo than most in this division I like the way you conduct yourselves young hungry players. Good luck Will you will need it without brandy and Patterson either side of you.

01 Jul 2013 10:23:10
Hearing a lot of rumours over the weekend that Walsall's James Baxendale is on former club Doncaster Rovers radar. John Ryan is a big fan and didn't want him to leave last time.

If Ryan didn't want him to leave, he could have prevented it. can't see why Bax would return, side much improved last season. But. Hey Ho. Who knows.

He's contracted, so would they pay a fee? Probably not.

Baxendale signed an 18 month contract in january

I'd take him back

I've also heard this, he's a quality young player. Will Walsall have any players left?

Dean Smith is to build his team around Baxendale after Patterson has confirmed his move and will be offered an improved contract immediately.

01 Jul 2013 10:20:21
Dominic samuel Michael hector and Jordan obita will not be going out on loan this season they are very much part of reading fc 1st team plans

Jimmy kebe could be on his way to norwich and ledgertwood to charlton

Robson kanu is close to agree a new 3 yr deal as he looks to a cement a place in adkins 1st eleven

Reading fc want at least one more player in thought to be a striker before they depart to portugal

Kebe does not fit our player profile. Sorry :-)

{Ed029's Note - Pacey tricky wingers not what Norwich need? Strange that Nathan Redmond is supposed to be undergoing a medical at Norwich today ;)

When do they go?

Be prepared to ship some goals reading fans if Michael hector's in 1st team plans very poor defender! I was much happier when he left shrewsbury and we brought in yado mambo

Like the sound of this!

It is thought to be a striker? whos thought was that then?

I am a reading fan in Shrewsbury. It wasn't down to Michael vector you shipped goals. Darren Jones a lot more at fault.

Im a reading fan in oswestry lol

01 Jul 2013 10:19:13
Shaun harvey gone today leeds signed crew captain after blackburn had an offer for 1m turned down for the crew player saleem amoody is the chairman and david haigh is managing director

Blackburn have had an offer accepted you

So did Leeds. and they won, it seems, you. ;)

01 Jul 2013 10:16:25
Norwich want 1 mill for Vaughan, Huddersfield have offered less. There is no truth in the butterfield deal-or any interest.

Who knows this for a fact? only dean Hoyle knows the truth

Maybe you are right but I think not. Town don't expect to get Vaughan on the cheap so we will see and no doubt by the end of this week.

01 Jul 2013 10:16:11
Gary hooper and billy sharp will not be coming to reading fc hooper will chose between hull and fulham and sharp will be turning his loan deal at forest into a permanent deal.

When the sharp deal is done simon cox will be coming back to reading fc

Pograenak is also a target for crystal palace and west ham

Cox will not be signing for reading

There is no way we will ever sell Cox this summer

Pog will be staying at Reading and will be immense for us in the Champ. Cox although a good little player is not what we're looking for.

Cox will stay at Nottingham Forest

Who's pogreneack

30 Jun 2013 22:13:16
Any news on James McFadden re-signing for motherwell ed?and anything about a gk {Ed001's Note - nothing on a keeper and last I heard McFadden was hanging on for Celtic, though I find that difficult to believe, I just don't see the logic in that signing. He has always had the ability but he simply can't stay fit long enough.}

Thought motherwell were close signing Gunnar Nielsen

01 Jul 2013 13:34:22
We had Gunnar at fir park years ago and he never played a match he's dodgy

01 Jul 2013 10:12:17
Charlie Austin to join Southampton with Billy Sharpgoing to Burnley in a deal with £4 million and player

I'd take that deal in a heartbeat

Hope not

Hope so

I would take that all day long

Why are we going for champioship players, I know we brought in rodrigues and clyne from the championship, but with the ambition of plying champions league football in 2 years, is this not a step back, go for the larger signings.

Is this a wind up ed, or what {Ed003's Note - last I heard Hull was the likely destination for Austin.}

01 Jul 2013 13:48:35
champions league lol I think your board are trying trying to show ambition there and look positive for the fans. But let's be sensible now, you want to compete with Arsenal?

Please be true

^agree with post above - I doubt we will be looking to strengthen our squad by taking players from the championship at this point. we still have a couple of players that only have 1 season of PL under the belt so I don't think we would take the risk of bringing more in unless we leave them as fringe players. Also we still have Mayuka who still needs a run out & possibly has a lot more pace than a lot of championship player. As for "competing with Arsenal" & the whole CL ambition - what is wrong with a club showing a bit of ambition? I seem to recall Man City a few years ago in the lower leagues (it really wasnt that long ago!), I remember Manchester United down near the bottom of the 1st division & chelsea certainly were not the force they now are. If any of these clubs can do it then with the right structure, ambition & staff then ANY club can do it, which incidentally includes Saints.

People scoff at lofty ambitions, then someone touts the old "massive investment it would take" and state that no one can compete with those established etc but there are numerous ways to achieve. Take Dortmund, for instance, 2013 Champions League finalists on a transfer profit ( after Goetze's transfer). Don't scoff at lofty ambitions, wish them for your team.

I'd like us to raid the championship to sign cover for both FB positions and maybe one of the top winger like Ince, Philips or possibly Buckley to rotate with our current wingers but I hope we sign a big money striker, who will guarantee a good 10 goals next year, although I think if Austin had a full season with i. e. Hull he could easily get that but not sure how much he'd play with us and as a young player he needs to be playing all the time

Billy sharp said if he was to leave southampton forest would be his option so doubt it

Id take that

You could replace every southampton player with the best players available in the world but it may not have the team spirit or determination look at qpr rangers last year to many changes could spell disaster.

30 Jun 2013 20:45:34
Hi ed. do you know any players that brighton are interested in? thanks in advance {Ed001's Note - sorry, not a clue.}

Deulofeu from Barcelona B according to talkSPORT. Also, Nicky Shorey (former Reading player) had a trial week last week

Former England international Nicky Shorey went on trial with Brighton last week. Don't know if they've signed him. Haven't heard anything.

01 Jul 2013 10:02:18
- Since Gayle is going to Crystal Palace peterborough will use some of the money to get Nick Powell on loan.

01 Jul 2013 11:20:34
They won't get Powell. Daddy isn't at OT any more.

Would Love to get him on Loan bu tI doubt it the only new player you will see now is 1 new striker, unless we can shift some of the dead wood soon

01 Jul 2013 13:57:13
Daddy not at OT anymore, he's there Director of Football ain't he, DOH!

Daddy is still I Director at OT

I think you will find peterborough Utd have only had 4 players on loan from Manchester United since DF took charge of the club. So it's not as if he is always getting players on loan from them!

Yep keep the daddy boy comments coming, 5 loans from them in 6 years. Hull for example have had more

Powell won't join posh. as a peterborough fan, i've got bored with these "dad" comments. anyone could get these players and about 10-20 man united youth players were loaned/sold last season.

No good moaning about ferguson loaning player, it's no difference than having any contacts with other clubs. Peterborough have done so well on a low budget, sure they will use the gayle money wisely. Good luck. Palace fan

And all the loans peterborough had were useless apart from Wooton who has barely played in 2 loan spells due to injury, it was Preston that got the better players like Welbeck and Matty James

Cheers to the Palace fan, good luck to you and especially Gayle

I know thatu haven't got sir alex anymore but they can still get players on loan from united. Just because you think daddy has gone we can't get any more players from united, well I have got news for you we will

People fail to realise we have links to man united even without the fergie thing (Barry Fry). However, we've had more players on loan from spurs and even dagenham than man united in the macanthony/ferguson era

01 Jul 2013 09:57:33
Cheltenham to annouce signings of Luke Rooney and Marvin Morgan today.

Marvin morgan has signed a two year deal at plymouth so that ain't true

01 Jul 2013 14:47:38
Rooney has signed for crawley

01 Jul 2013 09:37:26
could Bradford be in for a Hull keeper, soulds like he could be having a medical to day and has twitted a city player?

Most probably Oxley, will be his first oppurtunity for first team football so be interesting to see how he performs.

Jermaine McGlashan signs 2 year deal with Bradford City with Zavon Hines moving the other way.

Kevin Davies in talks with Bradford City over a 2 year deal.

Oxley's supposed to be going on loan to Oldham, maybe it's Jakupovic?

Won't be Jakupovic, Hull need a second keeper behind McGregor.

01 Jul 2013 09:36:27
Jagielka to Manchester United and Cazorla to Juventus to happen by the end of the week!

Juventus are broke, mate.

01 Jul 2013 09:34:00
Simon Moore looking increasingly likely to join Sunderland or Everton for a substantial fee.
Brentford also looking to bring in a winger and another striker. Winger could be Ian Hume and Striker is almost certainly Nakhi Wells from Bradford.

Wells going to Burnley

Alan Lee rejects move to Rotherham and decides to move to Bradford City on a 1 year deal

Will take a massive bid to get Simon Moore from Brentford, the days are gone when clubs buy our better players cheap, we don't need the money so if either club bids also signed contract until 2016.

It's not Wells, it's Grigg who signed today. Clueless

Nahki Wells? According to him, Bradford aren't big enough for his ambitions. so why on earth would he want to go to Brentford?

Guess this is made up then.

Another striker as well as Grigg.

01 Jul 2013 09:28:07
Bristol City have turned down a £850k bid from Wigan for Albert Adomah. Coyle knows the abilities of the Ghana winger from when he was managed by pal Derek Mcinnes.
Crystal Palace were favourites to sign Adomah and are now expected to make a bid of around £1m - this is likely to be turned down as still short of Bristol City's valuation.
Reading are monitoring the situation - Adkins is known to rate Adomah, and my make a bid if Jimmy Kebe departs.

01 Jul 2013 09:20:03
Bristol city reject an offer from Wigan for in demand winger Albert Adomah hoping they will start a bidding war as there's no money for squad rebuilding

01 Jul 2013 10:45:20
There is money for rebuilding squad as the owner has said he would give money if he player is right for the club. Trying to start a bidding war so we get what we feel is the right price for the player

Rubbish! Wigan had a bid of £1M accepted, down to player

Uh no says bids rejected

I have seen no evidence to suggest Wigan have made a £1m bid, or if they were to it would be accepted.

01 Jul 2013 14:46:26
Wigan fans, Bristol turned down a 6 million pounds offer from Leicester for Nicky Maynard and he had less time on his contract left than Albert. If City don't get what they want for him now, they'd take a million in January easily!

Also "No money for squad building", 5 players in and counting and one of the richest chairmen in the football league. Do your homework

£41 million in debt and how much have you spent on those 5 players? Signings have been poor for a team who had premier league aspirations mr lansdown is a very rich man but will not be writing blank checks anymore! FACT

Don't think it was 6million. more like 3 and a bit. maybe 4. but defo wasn't 6. any way think of the positives with aa on his way. get couple half decent league1 players for the money we get for him. sure we could be in for a good season. here's hoping.

£41 million in debt and how much have you spent on those 5 players? Signings have been poor for a team who had premier league aspirations mr lansdown is a very rich man but will not be writing blank checks anymore! FACT
----------------------------------
1. £41M been written off by our generous sugar daddy
2. 5 players cost almost nothing, cancelled out by the numbers leaving
3. I believe that in the UK, it's spelt "Cheques"
4. Saying "FACT" doesn't mean it's true. As I've just proved.

01 Jul 2013 22:46:34
No the 41 millions written in the books as a non-pay back loan, he said he wants a clean slate! It's now written off and that why were operating differently because he said he wouldn't bank roll the club any longer! Read his notes! Fact. He also mentions go he would not leave the club ever in a bad position.

Landsdown won't ever call in the debt, it will only be mentioned when he eventually sales his shares.

I am sure if/when he sales the club on he will expect his money to be returned to him by the new owner/invester.

I don't see this happening soon as he is always exppanding his Bristol Sports Group.

No mate it was 6.5 million pounds for maynard but they rejected it.

No mate it was 6.5 million pounds for maynard but they rejected it.
-------------------------------------
Not sure anyone ever offered us that much for him, we'd have taken their hands off. There was an issue with NM's terms and wanting to play in the prem, mind. Can't see us rejecting £6. 5M!

BEfore you said 6 now your sayin 6 and a half. which do you believe it was. find out from a leicster fan. then get back to me. but it wasn't 6 and a half.

JUst had a look. it was a club record bid of 5 and a half rising to 6 with addons. why on earth did they not take it. seems a million miles away from where we r now. be lucky to get a million for our best player now. really never believed it was 6. lol

Luke Murphy to sign for Leeds United today. tv sports reporter Adam Pope reporting he's in Leeds this morning for a medical.

Also on YEP site hope this true. as will show we might have money to spend.

Guess the people who hit the unbelievable button are wolves & blackburn fans

Bristol City to sign Jay Emmanuel-Thomas from Ipswich Town with Paul Anderson going the other way.

In addition Bristol City will bring in a second CB to strengthen the defence.

Second? We've signed Williams & Flint

Is jet any good only Paul Anderson has been consistent when played and it's a Shame to loose him

JET is the most skilful player we have at Ipswich and one of the most skilful players in the championship, however his attitude and work rate is horrendous and the days when he is on form and sets the world a light are few and far between, maybe he will be more consistent in L1 and for fans he is a very exciting player but also a very frustrating player personally I would like to see us keep him itfc

Thank you

Bristol City are playing hard ball over the Anderson JET swap, but Anderson may try to pressurise the club to let him go as he is uncomfortable dropping into league 1.

Just a quick thought but any reason Daniel Ayala has no players profile on the ncfc website? Could a deal have already been agreed for him?

01 Jul 2013 08:13:09
With Sam Allardyce spending the majority of his budget on Andy Carroll west ham are working hard to identify the best loan deals they can get. Currently in negotations with Man City over James Milner and Chelsea over Demba Ba. With only a small amount of budget left (unless players are sold to raise more funds) west ham WILL be signing Ludovic Sane and Montero. Gary O'Neill has been retained but Matt Taylor, Diarra and Modibo Miaga all being allowed to leave if the right bid is received. Finally, Newcastle recently showed interest in James Tomkins at £5m!

Ishmael miller to boro!

Ive heard this one too. Boro fans won't be happy with it but i'd rather have miller upfront than emnes.
It looks like mowbray is willing to offer him the chance to prove himself.
Again!!

I'll drive him from Nottingham myself

When Charlie Austin is sold, his replacement will be Nahki Wells and in a couple of seasons time he will besold for a tidy profit and wwe'll pluck another young talented lower league striker.

Swansea City to table over 8 million for FC Twent winger NACER CHADLI

Being linked to far to many wingers. can this lad play as cf? or, is it just a smoke screen to make bony think that the terms on the table are the best he's going to get from us?

01 Jul 2013 01:01:03
Oldham have agreed to take Luca scapuzzi on a season long loan from man city. Good source out of mcfc.

Hope not, started brightly when in loan but faded badly after a couple of games, lightweight

Not likely.

Would love that, but will believe it when it happens.

Bit lazy but looked a very good footaller for league 1 anyways in his loan spell with latics over a year ago

Good player but we have already signed two wingers full term. We have also resigned mellor and millar and we still have montano so full up on winger i'm afriad this is stinker this rumour

Scapuzzi is a striker. Not a winger. Jus that dickov liked playing people out of position!

Young Reading striker Dominic Samuel will join Shrewsbury Town on a loan until January 3rd.

Noooo I want to see him get a run out in a royals shirt!

01 Jul 2013 00:46:36
Josh King and Jamie Paterson are top of Tony Mowbrays list for young talented attackers. he feels the club has the funds to bring at least one of them to the club

01 Jul 2013 12:23:47
Where did you get this from?

01 Jul 2013 00:37:27
Oldham athletic are set to name current england under 20's manager peter taylor as lee johnson's number 2 this week, he will bring with him some players including goalkeeper sam johnstone from man utd.

So from managing in the Premiership, managing at International level to assistant to a L1 manager?! Koukash must be coming in and paying silly money!

That Koukash rumour is fantasy, won't happen

Middlesbrough unlikely to match Nottingham Forest's contract offer to Paterson. It is though he will move to Forest by Wednesday.

Mowbray has stated he has not bid for and has no interest in him

Mowbray has dismissed reports linking him with boro - never wanted him! ssp wer wrong

Former Coventry and Hearts forward Stephen Elliott is in talks with league one side Walsall

Elliot scored 4 goals in 18 games last season for Coventry before getting injured which kept him out of action towards the end of last season

Will grigg leaves walsall for brentford even after been offered a four year deal

Paterson has left the building up the pato

West Brom have confirmed their is a real possibility that Anelka could sign however Steve Clarke must will determine whether he still has the appetite to compete in the prem before making a move.

Further talks have been held with Di Santo other a possible move to the Hawthorns

West Brom have also held talks with ex-Watford striker Vydra but face competition from a number of clubs.

I hope Di Santo stays where he is. He doesn't pull up weeds never mind trees.

Vydra not held talks yet. but will this week. This is a real possibility because if you read local sources this is one rumour Albion have not dismissed.

We will sign players past their sell by date and those wishing to board the gravy train, there lies the great ideals of the chairman. Next season will be a struggle.
Peace Out now.

01 Jul 2013 12:15:40
He will at least stay at Watford until January

01 Jul 2013 13:21:59
Eh? He's not a Watford player so how can he stay there? As for West Brom it's depressing if we are targeting has beens like Anelka but our Chairman is a tight arse

01 Jul 2013 14:27:23
Sorry but Matty isn't going to West Brom, unless they can stump up £10M+.

The Pozzo's buy low & sell high, not the other way around.

Hes not for sale on for loan and he's interested in a move to west brom

Don't like the idea of Di Santo coming should stay at where he is. no point with Anelka as he I coming up to his sell buy date in the premier league.

I would have to say am getting annoyed with peace now. get rid of him as he thinks were a mid table championship side and were overachieving. um haven't you seen you had a look at out history 66% of it has been spent in topflight football.

Peace has lost plot, our leader must have maDE TOO MUCH MONEY TO WANT US BACK IN THE CHAMP, WHAT AN OWN GOAL

Personally my views on the Anelka rumours are big names attract big names. That being said he would be my first choice.

Also a friend has told me that the JP thing was supposed to be a sarcastic comment. If this is true, it doesn't take a genius to work that the press would twist this around. Even so it's not something you want to hear your chairman saying.

I don't see what the problem is with peace?! in my eyes he has never done much wrong ok he don't spend much but I look at it this way at least I can go watch my beloved team and not have too worry about them going belly up! let's keep over achieving I say lol at least we ain't crying into our beers that's more then I can say about them people down the road, in peace we trust!

Chris Lines to sign for Bristol City next week. The midfielder spent last season in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday.

Looks like he is on his way out, wasn't at owls in the park yesterday and the rest of the team was

01 Jul 2013 10:58:52
Right place wrong club. going back to Rovers on season long loan

COuld do with a few more bristol born boys in the team. Chris lines has done ok for shef wed so would be a welcome addition. whether he played for the gas or not. still expect its a gas head on a wind up like the junior agogo. heard devon white was comin down there myself.

AFC Wimbledon to Sign Paul McCallum on a Season Loan from West Ham

Would definitely take him. Thought he was very good in the games he played. He linked the play unlike any other player we had, felt like he was one of few players who was happy to pass it backwards to keep possession, rather than going direct everytime and losing the ball. Yet somehow I'd be surprised about this as Ardley didn't play him much towards the end of his loan stint and seemed happy to send him back, plus surely could have got him back when he went to aldershot. I'd be very happy. Likely a striker and centre back will come in this week.

No thanks

Scunny defender, Callum Kennedy, on his way to Wimbledon

Not for me thanks. Much rather bring back Brennan Dickerson from BHA if any of the loanees are coming back.

01 Jul 2013 14:55:44
Not me for me thank you! Rather have Brennan Dickerson back from BHA.

This would appear to be correct. If he can pass a medical which he failed previously at Oxford United.

Mccallum was injured, that's why he went back

Really liked Brennan. He had blistering pace and an unbelievable left foot would happily take him on permanent or season loan.
