As alluded to below my another poster, Liverpool are in the process of making a move for Roy "Das Phantom" Makaay. He currently tops a shortlist of veteran strikers who wouldn't break the bank. Van Nistelrooy and Luca Toni are apparently being looked at but i'd put money on Makaay, especially since he's coming to the end of his contract with Feyenoord. And of the collection of wingers that have been linked to the club, Juan Mata is by far the most likely (though negotiations aren't as far advanced as the deal for Makaay) And from a different and equally reliable source, due to Ferdinand's continuing injury woes and the unimpressive form of Brown, O Shea and Evans, United may take Tomas Repka on loan until the end of the season.

David N'Gog is French and has played for France at under 16 level up to under 21 level however due to a FIFA rule change and the fact he hasn't played for the Full French national squad he qualifies for Cameroon through his Cameroonian father.
The Cameroon FA have been in contact with regards calling him up and he is considering playing for them in the African Cup Of Nations.
People who keep linking Liverpool with all these mega money signings it aint gonna happen. Gillet and Hicks are still at loggerheads and will not sanction any big signings. Benitez will have to sell to raise additional to the small transfer budget that he will receive which will be almost miniscule if the do not qualify for the Champions League knockout stages (very likely). Add to that players who he would be willing to sell will not raise the kind of funds that he needs to strengthen. I mean the people who keep saying he'll get £15m for Babel and £5m for Voronin get real. The only assets that can raise anywhere near the big money funds are Reina, Gerrard, Torres and possibly Beneyoun.
Expect Man Utd and Chelsea to fight it out for Aguero with the latter favourites now the transfer embargo is suspended.
Man City will launch more adacious bids for big names and will match any big offers that are made in the Premiership.

The rumour of Blackpool's Charlie Adam moving to Wigan continue to circulate Bloomfield Rd. My cousin tryed to get Adam on the back of his Pool shirt, but they had run out of A's in the club shop. When he asked when they would get some more in, he was told that Adam would have gone to Wigan by then. There is a sell on clause for £1 million in his contract and Wigan have apparently activated this already.

Liverpool will agree a deal with Napoli to sell Andrea Dosenna for around 5 million pounds. Javier Mascherano's performances this season have been less than brilliant with the vast majority of spectators believing Barcelona's interest has unsettled the player.
