James Milner wont be leaving NUFC this summer. Roeder has convinced him to stay by letting milner know he will play plenty of games as Solano is getting older and will need resting, dyer is always injured as is emre so nzogbia will play more as an attacking cmf alonside parker with milner on the left or right wing. the only chance of him leaving is if nufc get a big offer 6m+ or can get SWP on loan (which may mean they infact only loan out milner again).

To further my info about Bakari Kone. It appears as if Nice won't let an instrumental player, such as himself, go. Not for a reasonable fee, at least. However, after watching the Netherlands v. Ivory Coast game, it seems as if Romaric caught the eye of Mr. Comolli, and he will speak to Martin Jol and Daniel Levy, to decide the merits of a future transfer. It appears to be somewhat fortuituos that Nice have rebuffed any interest from Spurs, for Kone. Because Romaric would be able to come in as better squad player, who can cover more positions. i.e. attacking player, who can play anywhere across the midfield, aswell as striker. Should a bid be made, Le Mans wouldn't be in a strong enough position, to stop an eventual deal going through.

Looks like I was wrong about Bellamy as the deal seems very close at another 6M. Those 2 deals are half the LFC transfer budget. Expect the Alves move to hinge on the Cisse-Ribery trade going though. If Juventus are relegated or thrown out of Europe or another fate that would make players want to leave then Arsenal have first dibs on all players. This is because Juventus still owe money from the PV4 transfer and may pay it back by letting their star players leave for the Arsenal.
Buffon is very unhappy at Juventus, so expect him to move away.
There is no point speculating about Uniteds transfers as they have already been done. All the deals were done pre-World Cup as that way if the players had a great tournament the price wont go up for us!
Linekar let slip on the BBC that United 'will be happy to have agreed a fee for Torres' - so expect the young Spaniard to link up with Rooney, Saha and Rossi (possibly Ruud, we shall see). Also a deal has been done bringing at least two of the Argentina midfield of Cambiasso, Mascherano and Riquelme. There is one player United have bid for because of his great World Cup - Sully Muntari! We nearly signed him a few years a go but failed due to a work permit problem. Ive heard vicious rumours that 4 of SAF'S main targets have all refused our advances, diarra,riquelme,ribery and torres. The only willing transfer is that of carrick,but SAF is not gonna be held to ransom. The player himself would relish a move.Torres may still be on, but chelsea are also in the race, this is definete as kenyon has been touting crespo in part exchange.
SAF wants3 signings, 2 mids and attacker. i know very little about ruud and where destiny will take him as there is a silence at OT about this.
we have received offers for players. cletic aston villa and newcastle have enquired about john o shea, but SAF will not part with him. wes brown and darren fletcher are both unavailable after newcastle and rangers both made approaches. spurs have asked for richardson and park plus 8mill for carrick.again no go. There have been no offers for silvestre or ruud as yet.
back to drawing board then. carrick is most likely to sign, but expect an enforcer to join him.petit and makoun have been scouted on numerous occasions recently. Rumours around club are that mascherano wants to play in spain. as soon as i know i will be in touch.

The rumours circulating about Ronaldo joining Gers are correct but seems increasingly unlikely by the day due to the player's poor current mental and physical state. He was identified as the 'major' signing with a fee of around £4.5m agreed with Real and wages in the region of £50,000 per week which would be easily counter-balanced by the shirt sales and other publicity it would cause. But the feeling now is that PLG feels it would be too much of a risk and will turn his attention elsewhere and possibly Werder Bremen's Ivan Klasnic or Mateja Kezman of Atletico Madrid.

Alex Ferguson was present at the Argentina SnM game the other day, specifically to look at Javir Mascherano and Riquelme. Both impressed on the night, but when asked who impressed him the most in the game, Sir Alex replied 'Gabby', certain amount of bias. Looks like Sir Alex is keeping his transfers as close to him self as possible.
Sir Alex has decided on his formation next season. HE is more than content with his defence, although he is looking out for a right back, with Rafinha being the most likely option, and Rincon currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon, the likely buys. Although a cheeky bid for Zambrotta of Juventus could be possible. Mascherano or Gattuso are the option for the defensive spot, whilst Ribery is an option out wide. Depending on whether SAF goes for Riquelme or another centre midflider is still up in the air. Carrick will come in if a Riquleme bid fails.

I use this site as an excellent source for all the latest football news. However, I do occasionally peek at the rumours forum for a quick giggle at some of the ridiculous transfer claims!
To all the Newcastle fans, although your team once (long ago)provided an entertaining attacking game, (never winning anything along the way), some of you claim that the likes of Riquelme, Kuyt, etc, are willing to join you! Why!?! Do you think playing in the Uefa/Inter Toto cup season after season holds that certain appeal? I can truly believe these players being linked with the likes of Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal, but believe you are living in a dreamworld, and are better off linking Newcastle with players such as Emile Heskey, Mark Viduka and James Milner (loanee return)!
It's not all about money, sometimes a club needs PEDIGREE and a REAL chance of winning big titles to attract big players, not a brain-numbing, 'we-will-win-something-next-season' spate of optimism. Hey, I know this forum's a bit of fun...but come on, at least grace this page with some truths.
