Tomasz Kuszczak has agreed to sign for Watford from Man Utd permanently after his loan spell with the Hornets expires.(14)(23)Do you have a source?Yes....Tomasz Kuszczak himself. He's more likely to go to Ipswich than Watford, to resurrect his international chances, much bigger club, but its up to Thomasz he'll do what's right for his progress, and at 30 he aint got long to prove it, you pillock. Ipswich are no bigger than Watford. Also He has another 5 years left at least. Goalies play until early 40s sometimes. How can you say ipswich are a much bigger club when they ve got huge debts, and finished below watford in the league for wat looks like 2 years on the bounce now? hes mre likely to go abroad to europe than stay in england. i would love him at watford but he could def get a club in the premier league at the way hes playing. he may even rejoin west brom as fosters loan comes to an endWatch this space fellers, he wont sign for the Hornets, that was a stop gap.

Oh and have Watford ever won the European cup, and is their ground over 30'000 capacity, Nah Ipswich are the bigger club regardless of results between the Hornets & Tractor Boys COYBYeah with an average attendance of about 18,000. That's a lot of empty seats. I don't think he will sign for Watford, but he also wont sign for Ipswich. Stop living on past glories and accept you're a very average team with a large wage bill.

My wife works in an estate agents in a country town about 12 miles from Wolverhampton. She has today taken a phone call to view a house in the town from a Mr and Mrs A Curbishley. This is a fact! As I know the source! My Mrs!!!(6)(40)~that's Arthir Curbishly, my butcher...Good one.My Mrs works for the Mr Sizzle just outside Molineux and sold Mr A Curbishley a 1/4 pounder with cheese he said" Sorry love I did not ask for onions on mine" apparently he is a nice bloke.Considering that his initial isn't actually A :-) It's LTold yo: it's our butcher Arthur. L of a butcher though! You can tell this is made up....why?....if you had more than £500 to spend on a house.....you wouldnt live in Wolverhampton.Yes its the guy just let out of stafford after his dream of ruleing the world would love the wolves jobLOL What a doughnut, "Alan" Curbishley is not his real name. He is actually called Llewellyn Curbishley so when you get a call from Mr & Mrs L. Curbishley let us know. And another thing, I wonder how many clubs are within driving distance of this "country town"? Birmingham, Walsall, WBA, L Villa, cmon try harder to stoke up some news.Is his Mrs nice looking though? The poster not Curbs'Lord lucan is odds on at the moment

Simon Grayson has handed his list of summer transfer targets to Huddersfield owner Dean Hoyle as he makes plans for life in either league 1 orthe championship, He plans to raid old club ledds united for upto 5 of his former players
Ben Parker - free
Ramon Nunez - loan
Alex Bruce - free
Robbie Rogers - loan
Davide somma - substanial fee
Top his wish list, with :-
Sean Morrison - Reading
James Constable - oxford
Harry Button - spurs
Reuben Noble-lazarus - Barnsley
James Berret - Carlisle
Completing his wish list, as he looks to overhaul his current playing staff, with 14 players out of contract, and yet to confirmed transfer request from 3 of his 1st team squad ; Anthony Kay, Jamie mccome and Alex Smithies(4)(34)

Noble-lazarus youve got no chance keith hill as already said hes in his plans for next season. Why has he got another club lined up? hopefully he wont be at huddersfieldI can't find any spurs player called Harry Button- all i can find is Harry Kane and David Button so which one is it?Not 100% sure, im guessin david button, as he's on loan with barnsley, and if Noble-lazerus has been watched ... 2+2? BTW im not a huddersfield fan, so i have no idea if these are true, my uncle is a childhood friend of one of the coaching staff over your way. Im a Rotherham fan, if u do sign Constable you'll be signing a very good player, i'd take him at the millers without a shadow of a doubt! Always a hand full whenever we play oxford.Grayson can have them 5 and I can get 7 more in the mini-bus! Utter crap them(Apart from Somma, a natural finisher but had a real bad injury)
Grayson and backroom staff are clueless(Town fans, are you just starting to notice??)But he'll do one thing right, keep them in division 1!! MOTI cant imagine Alex Bruce wanting to play for Grayson againBruce hates Grayson, it's not the best kept secret round Leeds, you might get Nunez on loan and Parker on a free but nothing much else! Parker isn't up to scratch anymore after all his injuries, poor fella."Simon Grayson has handed his list of summer transfer targets to Huddersfield owner Dean Hoyle" ----- More likely you've just made up a list of players you would like, yawn!Only way noble lazarus would be going to huddersfield would be part of deal with jordan rhodes coming home !Constable has struggled in Div 2 this season - not sure he would do much in the Div 1. Though there are rumours he will be leaving his club this season...."More likely you've just made up a list of players you would like, yawn!"
The fact im a rotherham fan, dispels that theory! The only thing im hoping for that comes in or out of huddersfield this summer is the mighty Alan Lee comes back home to the Millers

west brom - gordon
wigan - husskelepp
wolves - danns (and steve bruce as new manager)(9)(57)If Bruce was going to end up as wolves manager why didn't they appoint him earlier....Lambert isnt going anywhere especially not norwichLambert to Norwich is rubbish rumour, they would not be interested in him, they will be looking for a player with much more pace up front, Holt & Morrison have already scored 23 prem goals between them and are of similar stature to Lambert. Why would Newcastle want Etherington? They want Sigurdsson as well as Swansea doI suppose you didn't have any rumours for Everton so you just guessed? I would have gone with Pienaar above Drenthe if I was guessing...

Good luck in your future endeavours. It seems that the general consensus is that this post is rubbish. To add to that, Everton will not be offering Drenthe
a permanent deal - as the wise old proverb puts it "Don't sht where you eat".

18 Apr 2012 16:13:27
Coventy City to use Roy O'Donovan as makeweight to fund bid for Kilmarnock winger Liam Kelly.(7)(6)Will he move to a leauge one club then ?Strange one that especially as kelly is a holding/central midfielder and not a wingerRoy O'Donovan goals per game ratio for a striker is poor, he is not good enough for League 1 and should be released on a Free Transfer once is loan is over at Hibernian. His wages could be used on a much better player.

18 Apr 2012 16:10:25
Got informed at last nights game there strong talk of Craig mackail smith coming back to peterborough in the summer! His pace and Tyrone Barnett height what a strike partnership! U heard it here first! Franksy(10)(31)It would make good sense for the seagulls if CMS moved on - Championship is too higher level for him and he is expossed as a good lower league journeyman....

LeicesterLadSol bamba to celtic lol that would almost certainly be a step backwards, cut it in the spl but would look like chump change in the champions leagueHe's not welcome back at readingHaha! What a joke. I know he must of been pretty daft to leave us for the 'mighty' leicester but he's not a complete person to return to us. Think I would rather have Manset back from china! ChristWhy is he daft to leave for Leicester? There a big club with ambition & his hometown. Dnt be so arrogant

Reading manager Brian McDermott is set complete three signings this week after winning promotion to the Premier League. The former Exeter and Yeovil player is expected to have around £20 million to spend in the summer.
McDermott is thought to be wanting to make an ambitious bid for Cameroon midfielder Alex Song from Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is wanting to keep Song but the Frenchman is wanting to bring a whole new midfield in of which could hamper the 24 year old's first team chances.
Another player McDermott is wanting is West Ham midfielder Jack Collison. The Welsh international can play anywhere acorss the middle line and could cost up to £6 million.
Finally, Tottenham youngster Harry Kane has impressed McDermott in recent week on loan at Millwall and could join for around £3 million.(11)(39)Ugh, no chance of song coming. dont want any west ham players and i doubt spurs will want to sell. would also be very surprised if Brian was given as much a 20mA) He won't sign anyone this week - transfer window not open till end of season
B) Reading will follow other recent promoted sides and will not overspend, remember they haven't spent a fortune in the Championship so unlikely to changeI think you will find the new ownership deal is not complete as yet, so how can there be any agreement on funds available? Patience!Excellent season to all the supporters at Reading. Really pleased that you have made it back to the Premier League. Excellent Manager and team, thoroughly deserved. Good luck for next season (From at Oxford supporter)U are joking mate with alex song, he is arsenal first teem

Hull City manager Nicky Barmby has been told by chairman Assem Allam he can sign players in the summer with 'high' funds set to be given out.
Shamrock Rovers attacker Aaron Greene is set to fly to Humberside this week in a bid to hold talks over a three year deal. The Republic of Ireland under 21 international is wanted by a number of Championship clubs but is keen on a move to City after registering his happiness with the Irish connection at The KC.
City are also set to bring in Belgian international forward Igor de Camargo after the 28 year old was told by his club Borussia Monchengladbach that he will be available for a transfer if somebody can bid around £1.2 million.
Finally, a search for a goalkeeper on a long term deal looks set to be over. Inter Milan youngster Francesco Bardi, currently on loan at Livorno, will sign a four year deal next week after the Serie A club accepted a bid of around £900,000. Hull have had a long term relationship with City in previous years and Bardi feels a move to England will give him a better chance of playing Champions League football in the near future.(7)(16)That's quite possibly the biggest load of nonsense I've ever read. Nick hasn't even spoken to the Allam's yet, they're sulking over the 'ambition' comments he made in the press last week.Hull will have to cut back like all other Championship clubsDe Camargo is as prolific as Billy Barndoor Paynter. When Igors on the pitch it's like playing with 10 men. What a load of cods wallop ,we aint got a penny to scratch our asses on ,so if sign ant-one it,ll be a freebies UTT

18 Apr 2012 13:44:40
Barnsley boss Keith Hill is set to secure six signings in the next week after his club secured Championship safety against Hull City.
Norwich midfielder Korey Smith has been told by boss Paul Lambert he will be available to leave in the summer and Hill could tie the current Oakwell loanee on a three year deal.
Preston midfielder George Miller is subject of an undislcosed bid from Barnsley and was waiting to see if they stayed in the Championship. The 20 year old has only made seven league appearances for PNE and is keen on making the step up sooner rather then later.
Gillingham striker Adam Birchall has been training with the club in the last week and could sign a pre contractual agreement at Oakwell before Friday.
Another player training with the club is young Wolves defender Michael Ihiekwe. The academy scholar has recently signed a long term deal at Molineux and will sign a season long loan contract with 'The Reds' before the end of the week.
The fifth deal is thought to be a goalkeeper to compete with first choice Luke Steele after second choice David Preece was told he will be released in pre season. Doncaster youngster Jonathan Maxted is subject of a bid from Hill and could sign a five year deal. Maxted has been superb in the reserves at Rovers and is wanting to stay and compete in the Championship instead of League 1.
Finally, 25 year old striker David Weatherston is set to train with the club with a view to a one year contract. The Falkirk attacker can either play on the wing or up top and is wanted by a number of English sides.(6)(18)He,s signed far too much rubbish & nobody in there right mind would let him bring anybody else in personally think he,ll be lucky not to be on GARDENING LEAVE after next weekendWHERE do you get all this RUBBISH?Why would barnsley bid for him when they can get him for free at the end of the season? How many have these played for ROCHDALE?David Weatherston has signed a new 1-year deal with Falkirk. And he's never played for Rochdale, so no chance of a move to Barnsley. Why don't you lot have a reality check and realise hill as done a great job considering we have the smallest wage budget in the league and 8 league 1 teams have a higher wage budget than usGood luck with malted as he halogens a pro contract with them a couple of days ago if he knew of interest why would he signHIS BUDGET be even SMALLERwhen no season tickets sales nobody through turnstiles &Don Rowing wanting £30 a game to watch home supporters will be less than 7000You have no chance signing smith becuse he is not leaving norwich. He is a young player with a furture at norwichMaxted in brilliant form for doncaster reserves yeah? doncaster dont have a reserves team so you need to get your facts right before putting that rubbish on here

18 Apr 2012 13:06:07
Wigan to sign Darren Pratley from Bolton if Bolton are relegated and Wigan survive because Martinez knows him from his time at Swansea.(6)(12)I thought you'd never ask.

18 Apr 2012 12:53:46
Heard a scout say that Dover Athletic Goalkeeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz is being watched by several league clubs- Millwall, AFC Wimbledon, Scunthorpe, Brighton. Ruiz is a Venezuelan international.(3)(7)Have seen him play a couple of times. He's decent.Probably land up at Gillingham

18 Apr 2012 12:43:57
Will Smith stay at MK Dons?(6)(6)Is he not filming a new men in black 3?Will Smith at MK Dons ?!Yeah I heard he was off to Bel air...LOL HA HA HA very funny you knew what I meant... will Alan Smith stay at MK plastics then folks? Particularly if they get promoted? Is he playing well? He's been given good reviews and the press & fans up at MK Dons appear to hold him high regard but of course being on a free there may be a couple of championship clubs who may be tempted into a pay as you play.. if MK Dons get promoted I guess he will stay as it had been said he'd take a serious wage cut to stay.

18 Apr 2012 12:33:29
Media in the West Midlands are suggesting Aston Villa owner and Chairman is due to travel to England. Upon arrival he will travel to Birmingham to speak with Alex McLeish concerning the clubs poor showings this season. It is reported that Mr Lerner will ask McLeish to leave on his own accord at the end of the season. Another person who will loose their job is a certain Paul Faulkner the person who headhunted McLeish.(10)(3)Please Please Please this be trueGoing down with the wolves ha ha boing boing where you belongMcLeish to Wolves,Martinez to Villa,Bruce to Wigan.

Town look set to sign 7 players this summer.

Brad Guzan
Joel Ward
Matt Kilgallon
Jason Pearce
Francisco Sandaza
Tomasz Kupisz
Maurice Edu(11)(11)Yeah, they'll do ok at Grimsby.I wish people would say the name of the team Town which bloody Town Ipswich swindon shrewsbury northampton WHICH TOWN were not looking though crystal balls to guess - GET IT name the TEAMNantwich Town ?He means Ipswich and this is nt very accurate. Are targets include R.Fuller and Coppinger.Corby TownFuller looks to have burned his bridges at Stoke. Got his place back for one game and was red carded. Been a great servant but time to move on.Got it right 1st time GRIMSBY TOWNI think Ward & Pearce have blown their chances of joining the Tractor Boys, we dont need them, much better players out there, they will go down with pompey or get liquidated ShameThey would be good players for huddersfieldIf Francisco Sandaza leaves ST.JOHNTSTONE he will go to Bristol City, Rangers or Wigan. He wants 2 rejoin former manager Derek McInnes but admits Wigan are a good club.

18 Apr 2012 10:16:17
Mansfield pair Louis Briscoe and Matthew Green are attracting interest from football league clubs. Briscoe is wanted by a host of league two clubs including Aldershot, Burton and Bradford City aswell as Fleetwood who are coming up. Green is also wanted by Fleetwood aswell as Bournemouth and Bury(6)(5)Burton fan here i cant see us being interested in anyone at the moment was we do not have a managerSame for AFC Bournemouth

18 Apr 2012 10:11:28
Wimbledon Striker Jack Midson is attracting interest from a couple league one clubs after scoring 18 goals this season. Brentford and Preston are the two reported to be looking at him(6)(7)

Some news from Stoke

The Potters are keen to sign Jorge Molina Vidal from Real Betis. Stoke have had the player watched several times and is available for the right price.

Matt Jarvis will be Stoke's first signing in June

Ricardo Fuller has priced himself out of a new deal and along with Kenwyne Jones looks set to depart in the Summer.

Matthew Upson will leave the Britannia but still no decision on Woodgate.

Matty Etherington is interesting newly promoted Reading and QPR(15)(6)Why would ethrtington go to readingor qpr when they could well bee scrapping relegation next season, where as stoke are a well established premier league team, plus matty is well settled in the potteriesProbably because Stoke are looking at a replacement in Jarvis and Etherington has been poor this season. Remind us where Stoke were when he joined them

18 Apr 2012 09:17:27
No players at Burton Albion will sign new contracts unti they know who the manager will be next season and it is also believed that there will

Mapou yanga m'biwa-montpellier-6.5milliom
Jan vertonghen - ajax - est. 12-15million
Benjamin cognet-dijon-4million
Diame-wigan-4million
Edin hazard-lille-28million
Knockaert-guingamp-3.8 million

Newcastle players to leave
Nile ranger-sheff.W-850k
Leon Best-norwich/swansea/southampton-4milliom
Dan gosling-villa/fulham-3milliom
Fraser forster-celtic-3million
Lovenkrands-rangers-free
Simpson-villa/qpr-5.5million
Demba Ba-psg-11million(8)(46)Why would psg pay 11mil for Ba when his buy out from his contract is 7mil?? I think your dreaming sunshine don't be surprised if Ashley sells Ba, Cisse and Ben arfa for a profit and you buy cheap players and he's pockets the money. Don't blame him how much dept are Newcastle in 100+ mil I would want my money back to as he knows seasons like this are a one off.Hazard will never go to a mid table club like newcastle.he has a big future and newcastle will be back in mid table next season once ashley sells top stars and pockets the profitsMid Table club???Amazing arrogance !One good season and the deluded Geordies are on one. Hazard to Newcastle ........yeah right. Can take his pick from top clubs in Europe and will go there!! Newcastle will do well to keep players never mind buy.....Actually Ba's get out is way less than 7 million as Stoke couldn't get insurance on him when offering that amount. Didn't Harry say was about 3.5? Anyway are strong rumours that he has had a problem of late with his knee that he damaged a couple of seasons back so good luck getting 11 million :-) {Ed002's Note - Note that the "get out" clause is low only for Champions League sides.}Ok then celtic will buy forster for £3 mill when ther is a clause in the loan deal where they will pay £2 millSo much for the 11 million from PSG then if they can get him for 3.5 million. He does seem to have gone off the boil- wonder if there is truth in the injury rumour. He has failed two medicals of late.Southampton don't want Best,he's not good enough,no point in one step forward, two steps back.Newcastle Debt? I thought they were running just under profit with minimal debt - Ashley has cleared all of the dbet unlike Manu, spurs, chelsea etc etc -
Hazzard is a no no though to be fair... that much is BSAlso 2 left backs? WTFHazard and vertonghen, are you joking! Me thinks if these players leave to pastures new, it will be to a champions league club. And do you really think mr ashley will spend over 40 million to recruit these two? if pigs could fly!Key word being Targets!
These are players theve been linked with newcastle in papers its not like they have actually bid for them Hazard will probably go to bayern or man u but the link is cabaye
As for the 100m+ debt ? Newcastle are debt free and breaking even
When the next set of financial figues theyll   be in profit
They do owe mike ashley money in loans but that is how most owners put money into a club and is only ever repayed when the club is sold
Where do people get the idea newcastle r selling there best players
carrol left for 35 million despite newcastle intially turning it down (fact) it was only when carrol wanted to leave that it was accepted
Enrique left for 6 million because he had 1 year left and the club didnt want to risk losing him for nothing
Nolan was ageing player 4 million is lot of money for him and with cabayes arrival he wanted to link up with alladyce again
Barton left simply because of his own behaviour no owner in the world would put up with a player mouthing off like that
Newcastle have got 45 million by selling players and spent 22 million and id rather have ba, cisse, cabaye, santon, obertan and marveuax for 22 million than carroll, enrique, nolan and barton for 45millionBtw Southampton will never sign back best especially not for 4 milRubbish Ba-11m when he has got a get out clause for less than 6m.Add Tim Krull to leave,he is going to ChelseaHazard to Newcastle hahhahaEden Hazard!? a) he will go to one of the top European clubs, b) you couldn't afford himDon't know what is funnier the replies or the people thinking a Toon fan actually wrote this. I smell a mackem.

17 Apr 2012 22:14:19
Derby will allow striker Callum Ball to go on loan to one of either Bristol City, Burnley or Barnsley next season.(4)(13)I've heard that Birmingham, Bury, Brighton, Burton and Blackburn are also interested.Plus Bolton Bradford Bristol City and Buxton

17 Apr 2012 21:37:18
Just heard that if Dempsey snubs new Fulham contract for Arsenal then Fulham will try to battle Swansea for Glyfi Sigurdsson(11)(18)Sigurdsson would not go to Fulham, if he remains in the Premier League it will be with Reading FC. We can afford him and he loved it at Reading; He never wanted to leave Reading and would still be here now if it wasn't for the poor financial situation we was in.Another of these ....he loved it there posters. Got to love them. I also like the fact he knows what clubs he won't join as well.Gylfi is way too good for us mate, as hard as it is to say. Millwall are weighing up a bid for Bournemouth's Scott Malone. Millwall are expected to bid £750,000 plus ex-AFCB Youth Team Graduate, Josh McQuoid who has struggled for games since leaving the Cherries in Dec 2010(8)(5)If that were true, I'd snap Millwalls hand off, with or without McQuoid. Malone is average at best. One good game two pants ones.Heard that Malone wants out of Bournemouth now that bradbury has gone,so this could happenMillwall don't need McQuoid, they are a better team without him!He couldnt get in the team when they were struggling! That's a great deal for the Cherries, we'll take it UTC !

Hi Eds any idea of realistic transfer rumours concerning Leicester both in & out the club?

Cheers
LeicesterLad {Ed001's Note - nothing concrete at the moment. Though Hobbs is supposedly lined up for a return, not sure I believe it as he is injured isn't he? All he has said about it is that he would love to work with Pearson again and thinks he is a great coach.}(2)(9)Yeah he's been out for a while i believe. I would be glad if he came back as our defence this year has been pretty poor

LeicesterLadAssem Allam has stated that he will not allow any of our best players to join Leicester never mind our captain, nice try though, I can see why you want better defenders with St Ledger in thereYou have no clue st ledger has been quality, if we want someone we will, get em money talks

LeicesterLadWont be back for 6-8 months; he is captain at Hull now and cannot see him going back to Leicester to be honestHe wants to be reunited with pearson i believe m8

LeicesterLadIf St Ledger has been quality why do you want Hobbs back,Theres talk of mills being sold & its good to have plenty of competition for places

Right this isn't really a rumour but I hope you post it on the rumour page and not banter please ed because I just want to set the record straight concerning Southampton FC.

There are alot of deluded saints fans and alot of the dirty few down the road posting nonsense on this site. I really enjoy coming on this site for the banter and just general interest in all transfer rumours.

Firstly the saints fans who spout of about we are 100% going up. We are not and inturn stop posting deluded transfer rumours of players we will buy if we do go up this includes posters in the future during the summer as 99% are utter tosh and more embarrassing to read ten anything. It's abit different who you can buy on football manager then real life. Real Southampton fans know that anything in the papers is 99% not going to happen as saints do business behind closed doors.

Also I'd like to state that every Southampton fan should be very proud of what are club has done this season if we go up or not. Ask yourself at the start of the season where did you expect us to get? We said consolidate or hopefully push for the play offs. We have been top two all season and deserve it we have had some fantastic performances and some shocking ones but that's football. Latly people have slated Adkins on here and the players saying not good enough? Adkins has moved the club up 40 places since taking over he might not have the experience for the PL if we get there but I'd rather be relegated with this guy still running the team then replace him the guy is fantastic even if he does get annoying with his over enthusiasm some times but hes a great manager we also have a very strong team with goals from nearly every position we have a very good team. It can be improved like any team but the manner in which we have done this has been the key to are success 3 players each window no mass changes keeps the bond there it works and we have a great team who play for each other.

To the people who say if saints go up they will get relegated, if we do oh well atleast we can keep trying we have a great setup and it will pay off soon, but every year the promoted teams are written off but look at Norwich Swansea an I guess QPR there up there still an have had good seasons. Just like Swansea there style of play is much more suited for the PL so hopefully we should do ok if not who cares we ha ago and we will try and get there again but I think we would do well.

In a nutshell I'm proud to be a saints fan I'm bloody proud of how we have done this season and I love my club no matter what. I also want to say reading have been fantastic and beat us even tho I think we outplayed you the majority of the game you put your 3 chances away we didn't so I think you deserve the title and I take my hat off to your team. I also want to say well done to west ham aswell I don't like yor managers tactics but I admire your club very dedicated fans and some fantastic players I hope we go up 2nd or even first but for me the 3 teams who should go up are saints reading and west ham. I also admire Blackpool still a fantastic attacking team and if you don't go up I hope we sign ince or Phillips fantastic to watch and your pace destroyed are defence also a very good team

And to you skates I hope your club survives but I'm disgusted by some of the abuse from your fans to billy shar about his son. I low the rivalry but some of your fans are disgusting and your club is where it is because it was run poorly just like when we went into admin with Lowe in chare but we are better for it you need to go down sell your players hopefully get bought out and then rebuild I wish Pompey that at least

A proud saints fan, clarkey saint(14)(21)Wheres the mention of Leicester? We destroyed you twice lol, only joking m8. Nice post you deserve to go up and all the best for next season

LeicesterLadMy post was getting abit long mate but yeh I can give credit to alot of teams, anyone can beat anyone in this league that is why it is such good work from all the teams in the top as no one has walked it. I like Leicester alot too pearsons is a fantastic manager. To be honest it's hard to say exactly who should go up its been a three horse race for a while that's why I said these three but I honestly rate many teams in thisbivision even at the bottom Bristol city are under rated even Doncaster who I feel have played really well a times. Thank you ed for letting me put things into perspective an hopefully making people realise only a few of the saints rumours on here are from saints fansSums our season up i surpose, Leicester Lad LOL i was at both home and away games and your right you give us i bit of an hiding at St Mary but to say destroyed us at you place is a bit harsh. Lambert own goal after he was smashed in the back and we battered you in the second half. I know its a cliche but it really was a game of two Halves, draw was probable a fair result.

One more thing Leicsester Lad, i really thought you were dead certain for promotion this season. I you opinion were did it go wrong.Bloody well said, mate. Agree 100% with every point made.Yh it was a good game at King power m8 you could of easily got something out the game. i dont know where it went wrong to be honest. I dont think having so many new signings helped as they were not used to playing together then Sven got sacked which again i dont think that it done the club an favours with another change of manager. The board need to stop hiring and firing and work at obtaining some consistency as i dont think it benefits the players.

Im looking forward to next season now and hopefully improving on this years performance. We have the squad and funds in place to be successful, and now the manager i believe but they need to step up to the mark.

LeicesterLadGood luck next year in the championship :) from a brighton fanGood post mate overall i think u are a bit deluded and maybe overly optimistic i cant see us surviving, we go up and we're straight back down again, dont go up and we finish mid table championship we aint going no where is the sad truthHave to agree 99% with this post....surely its better if Adkins appears 'over enthusiastic' even after a defeat than to be downbeat.....his enthusiasum rubs off on the players.I hope West Ham beat you to automatic promotion and you suffer a painful exit in the playoffs, just to stuff it up your arrogant backsides. PUPWest ham fan above..

How can you call Saints fans arrogant? As a whole, we've got a tad excited about the prospect of premier league football (which is due since we have missed it so long) and that means some people make big statements like "we are going up" because we are odds on to go up and it would take a miracle/nightmare for us to not go up. To be honest, most supporters in the c'ship would be supportive of our football this season and say we are one of the teams who does deserve to go up.

Comparatively, West Ham believe they have a divine right to promotion from the off, yet have played no football to match it. Yet West Ham fans have been assuming from the off that they were being promoted, talking about how we were going to crack and they were going to sweep the league and be champions. You were saying that in JANUARY whilst playing sht football and getting sht results. Think we are slightly more entitled to get a bit excited and confident than you.

West Ham fans are the most arrogant fans in the league and its hilarious that you are "probably" going to be in the playoffs, and hopefully you crash and burn.I am a West Ham fan and I hate those who think somehow we should have a divine right to go up. this is how I think what will happen - the hammers go to play offs and lose in the first round. Sam Allardyce goes on about our good away form and so that means we will do badly in the rest of away games! Not being negative just used to what happens to Hammers fans through the years!Congrats Saints! Looking very likely your goin up, & rightly so! thats all i have to say! Oh apart from, glad west ham choked....

LeicesterLadWell I have to say this is the most civil debate I've ever seen on this sight, apart from a few jelous Pompey fans, btw to the guy who puts the:) after every post we all know you're a Pompey fan. COYRGreat debate. Good to see praise amongst supporters for the seasons efforts.
Until, that is, as usual some dumb skate from the smelly side of hampshire throws his toys out. Enjoy league one. If you still have a club. The club or your skanky fans won't be missed.Southampton? Yawn.Nice constructive banter. Let's face it guys, most of Saints signings will be a suprise to us as and if we go up so let's just be patient.
Also, I do hope if we do go up the club and supporters think seriously about showing their gratitude for what Marcus set as his vision and is now underway and decide on a fitting tribute to this man who was not only the saviour of the club but a true football supporter.Youve restored my opinion of saints fans!If you go up and AND come staight back down you'll still be 8m better off for the next four seasons, not a bad payoff.Any sane person knows that if we do go up which is looking much better after the Peterborough game, the objective will be to stay in the prem. my concern is that we have a good base of players in are team who where playing in league one with Southampton only a few years ago, can they go up another level? I dont expect adkins to sign 5-6 players i realistically think we need a top right wing player a key signing with alot of pace and then a few key areas need extra strength. Are main downfall this season has been against teams with pace on the wings Blackpool is the key example here destroyed are defense and if we do go up some of the wingers make me shudder at just the though but we play a good passing game like Swansea and I see a big similarity to us and norwich but here's hoping! Well done reading aswell very deserves promotion hope we can snip the title but I don't see it happening.

Thank you for the positive comments to my original post. Clarkey saintI am confident that if we go up, we can stabilise our position pretty well within the first couple of seasons.
The plan was to get to the Premiership in 5 seasons and if we do it this time it will be 3 actually. Meanwhile the training and support facilities continue to be upgraded to match anything already in the Premiership with a view to developing a good proportion of our own players in the future. (If this works, what a welcome change from the football equivalent of a puppy farm that Lowe saw within the academy!)
Yes, we would certainly need an input of some new blood, but nothing too major and certainly an area where I suspect the club is already investigating and working on.
The one area I would like to see though would be that any new players are brought in well before pre-season. We have seen this season how Saints benefitted from a new approach to this area and we have also seen that players brought into the club required quite a long time to adjust physically to our style of play, so if we are all celebrating within the next few weeks, let's hope it is not into July before we see some strengthening.
Oh yes, finally-if the promotion does come what's the bet on Southern Evening Echo eating some humble pie?!Good luck next year in the prem you will need it :)Clarkey Saint. Before you get on your high horse about Pompey fans giving abuse to Sharp (LET ME MAKE THIS ABUNDANTLY CLEAR FIRST - I DO NOT CONDONE IT BEFORE I AM ACCUSED I DO), I find it abhorent that a minority of our fans have done that and am embarrassed as PFC fan that they did and would like to think if the people involved are found never allowed to set foot in FP. But let's not forget back in December after the derby at Fratton Park, YOUR fans were giving abuse to Stephen Henderson on Twitter about wanting him and his family dead (which is true as I read the tweets), so both clubs have their fair share of idiots who do this. So will you criticise your fans for doing that?Fair point I didn't know that as I honestly don't go on twitter often I only saw the sharp incident obviously every team has its person supporters and I probally put it in the wrong context when I said Portsmouth fans as like you said its a minority. I apologise and accept that we have are person supporters to which I think I did state at te start hence the whole post. I hope your club survives btw I don't want Bournemouth o be are rivals after all in league one they wanted that more then going up shame considering how much we liked there club and helped them all the best clarkey saint

Ps. I don't mean any offence at all by anything I've posted if it comes across as negative even te Portsmouth commentsSouthampton, my hats off to you for a thoughtful and insightful post there, from a Reading fan. Saints Royals match last week was the best i've ever been to for me and I cant wait for the fixture next year in the PREM!

Giovanni Trapattoni will be heading to Brighton to watch Sean Murray in action for Watford tonight, after the 18-year-old picked up the Young Player of the month award. Trapattoni is going to observe him with a view to his inclusion in the Republic of Ireland Euro 2012 squad.

In addition, Watford manager Sean Dyche admits it might be difficult to hold on to Murray in the Summer, with the likes of Manchester City and Everton interested in nurturing the youngster, but Hornets owner Laurence Bassini has assured fans that the club is still not doing business with Cardiff, after Malky Mackay expressed interest in his former trainee.(2)(20)Doubt that very much as Trapa has already said he won't be bringing in new blood for the Euros. Even Pilkington at Norwich hasn't been in a squad yet

The Coventry takeover by a consortium led by former Board member, Gary Hoffman, has received a welcome boost, after reports that it had collapsed.

The takeover was formerly dependent on the club remaining in the Championship. With relegation now all but certain, the takeover folded.

At least one member of the consortium walked away, with no wish to buy into a League One club. Another wealthy individual, funding the consortium, withdrew having expressed contempt for the lack of apparent support for their club by Sky Blues supporters, who seemed too happy to boycott the club rather than back their club in a time of need.

However, Hoffman has reshaped the consortium and plans to pursue the takeover further. However, this is now a much reduced consortium. Money remains allocated to buy the club from SISU and to acquire 50% of the company that rents the Ricoh. Andy Thorn will be retained as coach for another season but with an experienced Director of Football appointed. However, there will be no new funds for players. The new management team will be tasked to reduce the squad by shedding high earners.

Still difficult times but Hoffman wants to protect the long term future of the club.(5)(5)As long as sisu go i dont care who owns the club they carnt do a worse job

Interesting bit of news for Leeds fans.

I've heard from my source at Leeds that Robert Snodgrass is going to postpone making a decision as to whether or not to sign the new offer which is on the table. His decision will depend on how Leeds fare in the first month of the transfer window being open, and whether or not they will show the ambition that he will need them to in order to stick around.

I've also heard that Warnock has managed to convince Ken that promotion simply isn't possible without a reasonable amount of investment, which Bates - very reluctantly - will now look to provide.(18)(9)All you have to do now then is agree exactly what a "reasonable amount of investment" means in monetary terms. Birdseye will think 250k is reasonable.

Remember that Leeds financial position is still not strong (albeit they are not in any trouble), so large investment may prove difficult to obtain.

wigan are after Dennis Oliech. The 27 year old striker has scored 10 goals in 29 games. His side Auxerre are bottom of the french league and relegation is likely. He has expressed his interest in playing in England and roberto martinez sees him as the perfect targret(9)(5)

Leeds have agreed a pre contract agreement with Derby midfielder Paul Green. Leeds will pay a small compensation fee to Derby and this is thought to be in the region of 250k.(11)(16)Why would leeds pay for a player out of contract?

Green has said he wants to stay at DerbyWhy Would he leave Derby? they have made him the player he is now! and thats coming from a leicester fan. As much as i hate to see it mate Derby are a bigger club than Leeds at the momentRubbish! Why would Leeds pay any compo for a lad who is out of contract and is age 29, not under 24?

IF he does come to Leeds, then it will be on a free, but he has stated he wants to stay at Derby so it will be a non starter

Reading want Richardson and Matt Phillips(18)(14)Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "Do you need to ask me anything given which paper it came from? They had me with my face contorted telling their readers we were going to be the worst team ever in the Premier League.

"I think they put £1million (on the story). What a load of nonsense. Do they think we are stupid?"

"Do I have to spell it out? This kid is English - though he's choosing to play for Scotland - so he is going to be quite valuable, isn't he? He is an athlete, he is 6'1", still only 21, still learning and can score goals. What more do we have to say about him? I am delighted we've got him and at the minute he is ours.

"We are in a good situation with his contract. He is a fantastic lad. He is level-headed. He hasn't asked to leave. In the summer he might well have to and we will then make a decision. Hopefully it will suit the club and him. And if it doesn't, he won't be going anywhere.

"If Reading are up and they are going to start buying better players then good luck to them. But it hasn't even happened yet, so why do we need to even worry about it?"

Mr Roller Coaster

PAUL COUTTS has told GRAHAM WESTLEY at PRESTON NORTH END that he will be leaving at the end of the season. After their falling out earlier in the season, their relationship hasnt been the best and COUTTS has a number of clubs in League 1 and the Championship offering him an escape route.(22)(5)Westley is going to lose the bulk of the players. Mellor, Hume, & Coutts are leaving having all fallen out with a manager who took our club from 7 points off the play offs to 7 points off relegation. Westley will be gone by Christmas as most of the fans hate him.As a PNE fan for 30 years. I cant stand Westley. Has caused huge trouble since he arrived and most of the team hate him....as do the fans. Get rid of him and keep CouttsIm not a westley fan but my veiws on him and his managerial way is changing, results and performances have got better and we are turning into a fitter team. i would get rid of coutts, mellor and maybe the injury prone hume. give the guy at least a season and you never know whats around the corner.Yeah....League 2. It's 1 win in 7, a growing reputation for promoting hoofball and violence on the pitch and the death of the beautiful game at Preston. I know Tom Finney must be crying everytime he watches us play. sad times at a once great club. Why are you saying us when clearly if you was a pne fan you.d know that we do not play long ball so stop stiring garbage you mug.Right I am sick of all these rumors saying Coutts has fell out with Westley. This is totally untrue The reason these rumors are spread is the fact that Coutts is a good player and lost the captincy.Westley was right to take the captincy away so Coutts could concentrate on his own game. Ihappen too know they have a good working relationship and judging by the massive hug Coutts gave Westley i would say they like each other as well.Well said mate people have been making up carp about pne since westley came and im also sick to death of it. {Ed003's Note - They did fall out, along with Carlisle aswell, maybe coutts made up with him}PNE fans.....face it, the guy doesnt know what he's doing. His record so far speaks for itself.....a worse average than Paul Simpson. With Coventry, Portsmouth, & Doncaster dropping down and the 3 teams from the play off still in League 1 it's going to be even tougher next season....I cant see Westley change the way PNE play in just 8 weeks during the closed season.....and with PNE in debt by £30m, still losing around £200k a month & the fan numbers dropping game after game (24k stadium...only 9k fans most games)....where are you going to get the £2m - £3m to sign 3 or 4 quality players you need to compete in League 1....even a Stevenage player is going to cost you £500k+ . 22 players out of the 45 at PNE are getting the boot in 2 weeks.....most on Free's......The clubs in free fall, with a manager who wont be there come Xmas.....but I do think he's doing a great job....UTPCouttsy is one of those players who have read to much of there own good press and subsequently believe they are worldbeaters! Westley wants workhorses and team players. If Couttsy leaves it will be becuase he cant hack the new team ethos. Rather like Keith Tracey at Burnley ooops sorry gone on loan! now there's a surprise!I’m a Charlton fan and know nothing about PNE’s current situation but would like to add this to your debate; we won 2 of our last 18 games in the 2010-11 season and we are also in £30m + debt. We had to have a clearout of players some of whom were still on Championship/prem level wages and I’d say only one we have missed (Jose Semedo now at Shef Wed). I heard yesterday that the board very nearly replaced Chris Powell at that point with Jon Still, how glad am I that they never.

What took place over the summer convinced me to renew a season ticket that I have held for 17 years (I very nearly gave up). We sold Carl Jenkinson to Arsenal and used the money (apparently not much more than 1m) to rebuild, adding a lot of free transfers too. The results speak for themselves.

I’m not saying that’s going to happen but at some point you have to wipe the slate clean and start again with bright hopeful players that have some ambition, a fire in their belly. They need not cost the earth either, the one thing you do need is unity. At this level there are always clubs in trouble that you can pick up good players from (250K bought Bradley Wright-Phillips and the above mentioned Jose Semedo was a free). Don’t be frightened of change, be radical and cut deep only keep the players that really want to be there. Best of luck to you.I’m a Charlton fan and know nothing about PNE’s current situation but would like to add this to your debate; we won 2 of our last 18 games in the 2010-11 season and we are also in £30m + debt. We had to have a clearout of players some of whom were still on Championship/prem level wages and I’d say only one we have missed (Jose Semedo now at Shef Wed). I heard yesterday that the board very nearly replaced Chris Powell at that point with Jon Still, how glad am I that they never.

Best of luck to you.Ed westley never fell out with carlisle he just wanted him to be a fulltime player and he could.nt really commit to that because of his fa commitments. Your just as bad as the critics mate. {Ed001's Note - funny that as the PFA commitments are designed to be fitted around the career of a professional footballer....}The future is bright and white, Proud Preston will be back - keep the faith!"keep the faith"....It seems 30% of PNE fans cant be bothered. Down to 9,000 fans (PNE count season ticket holders that dont turn up) so 8,500 really. Cant see you get more than 5,000 ST holders next season and your TV money is just £325k....so how are you going to fund this re-build on £1.5m when at least 10 teams (above you) are better equiped, richer and hungrier to get out of League 1. Cant see you doing it next season with Westley...sorry!

Alex McLeish will walk away from the Villa job this week. It is understood to be by the termination of the contract!
Where did you hear this, ED any truth?? {Ed003's Note - We've not heard that }(11)(25)I really hope so we are going nowhere and will probably get relegated next season. He's done it so many time through out his career, wouldn't be suprised to see him do it again..I was drinking with Eck's brother after the Aberdeen v Hibs semi in Glasgow on Saturday. This is nonsense.I think villa fans want to wake up,you are run on a shoestring, mcleish aint that bad, when he is aloud to buy a better class of player then judge.Being with his brother means nothing.... Alot of stories are circulating around the midlands that he will be pushed by Randy

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has identified 5 top transfer targets for the summer ahead, amid disillusion surrounding the club's playing style. Freedman wants to change back to Palace's successful 4-4-2 formation after seemingly securing a tight defence and is targetting the following strikers to play up front alongside target man Glenn Murray:
-Simeon Jackson, NORWICH CITY Free Transfer (depending whether he is released)
-Chris Martin, NORWICH CITY £500,000
-Martin Paterson BURNLEY Unknown Fee
-Erik Huseklepp PORTSMOUTH (unlikely as expected Premier interest)
-Sam Baldock WEST HAM UNITED Loan Deal
-Max Clayton CREWE ALEXANDRA £200,000
(Freedman is only looking to sign up to 2 of these players)
For midfield, Freedman is looking to bring in some recognised wingers with flair to replace Darren Ambrose, who will likely to be shuffled into one of the central midfield positions or possibly sold on as he will have just 12 months remaining on his contract. Potential signings include:
-Kerim Frei FULHAM Loan Deal
-Alex Kacaniklic FULHAM Loan Deal
-Nick Powell CREWE ALEXANDRA £250,000-700,000
-Gareth McCleary NOTTINGHAM FOREST Free Transfer (depending whether he is released)
-Hal Robson-Kanu READING Loan Deal
(Freedman wants 2 wingers, but these are just some of many potential acquisitions)
With Nathaniel Clyne seemingly looking likely to leave the club as his contract expires, Palace would receive between £1.5-3 million for his services amid FA regulations. Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Southampton retain serious interest in the player. As this looks inevitable, Freedman is pondering the position of RB as well as CB as Anthony Gardner may well decide against signing an extension, leaving Paddy McCarthy the only recognised 1st team centre back. His targets include:
-Mustapha Dumbuya DONCASTER ROVERS Free Transfer
-Martin Cranie COVENTRY CITY Unknown Fee
-Matthew Connolly QPR £500,000-1 million (Reading may be favourites)
-Luke Chambers NOTTINGHAM FOREST Free Transfer (depending upon whether he is released)
-Even Hovland MOLDE Unknown Fee (unlikely because of stature)
-Paul McShane HULL CITY Free Transfer
(Freedman will want a RB and 2 CBS possibly one for backup)
To raise funds further, Freedman may well allow the following to leave:
Calvin Andrew Free Transfer (almost certain)
Antonio Pedroza Loan back to Jaguares (likely)
Andy Dorman £100,000-200,000 (very likely)
Jermaine Easter £200,000-250,000 (depending upon incoming strikers)
Darren Ambrose £500,000-1 million (unlikely, but Leeds United and Warnock may well be interested)
Owen Garvan £300,000 (likely)(4)(41)You missed out messiDumbuya is a winger/full back mateI'm sorry but I am a Palace supporter and half of these is pure lies. I doubt Kerim Frei will be loaned out by Fulham as he is playing, Nick Powell is worth well more than 750k, try 4-5m plus Hovland just moved clubs, No way would we get 100k for Dorman, Ambrose is worth more than a bit more than 1 million and also likes the area and finally Garvan is a free agent in the summer I believe. Try harder next time.Mccleary is going to prem, I'll drive chambers there for free.I think you live in dream land with some of those - Simeon Jackson on a free, my word keep taking your pills, Chris Martin - got to be worth £1.5m.Connolly is out of contract at the end of the yearCrainie is out of contract in the summer so can go for nothingI'll have a pint of what you've been drinking lolDumbuya is in contract talks with Doncaster roversWaste of time reading this rubbish!

Stopped when I read Clayton and Powell from Crewe and McCleary from the trees!

Why would any of them go to Palace?

Dream onWow, deluded!

16 Apr 2012 16:34:50
If Coventry get relagated Bristol City, Portsmouth, Blackpool and Southampton will aim 2 buy Gary McSheffrey( for 5million or over).(2)(64)Not a chance portsmouth would be able to pay 5million.No one will pay anything neer 5 mil for him more like £200,000 at mostChris Martin will not be sold for £500K, at least 750K, more likely close to £1M.
Norwich have a one year option on Simeon Jackson from July 2012 so there is no way you will get him on a free transfer, Lambert will Exercise the one year option even if he decides to sell him on, so expect to pay at least £750K assuming Lambert does not want him in Norwich squad for next season.Haha guys commented on wrong pos^^^5 mil for mcsheffrey, your having a laughIt quite clearly is a joke, good job you didn't bite. McSheffrey is not worth £500k. {Ed003's Note - lol }

16 Apr 2012 16:31:23
Portsmouth to sign akinfenwa if Luke Varney goes to Nottingham forest in the summer(7)(28)How the mighty have fallen.Akinfenwa is beeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast !!He is about right for park football!Pompey might not even exist in the summer, the thought of them signing anyone is just pure fantasyI absolutely love Akinfenwa! He is a tank! Could play in the Championship in my opinion! The only thing Poopey likely to sign will be a winding up order.

16 Apr 2012 16:18:53
Sunderland will sign winger Aiden Mcgeady and Kenwyn Jones will be resigned next season....Blackcat(15)(34)Heard this also mcgeady used to be an O'neill player & likes the manager, talks are already at an advanced stage,Kenwyn never wanted to leave Sunderland, and O'neill is a fan & tried to sign him when he was manager at VillaShame that with the poor crowds and the money wasted on the players they have now, NO CASH. Free transfers and league 1/2 players only. SMBMc Geady is far too good.smbAm Irish and seriously wish McGeady wasn't in our squad. He really is one trick pony and not a good trick at that.

Jones looks certain to leave Stoke as hardly gets a look in these days. Were rumours of a couple of Sunderland players interesting the Potters including Gardner . The two clubs do have good relations on the transfer front.Believable but i would have said more mcgeady and fletcher of wolves........jones is too injury prone (on his day immense, and has the power o'neill likes, but i would say fletcher is more likely

16 Apr 2012 16:16:59
Man United full back Fabio will sign for Sunderland next season on a season loan.....Blackcat(14)(28)Fergie wants Fabio to have most 1st team playing team and Fergiethinks Sunderland is ideal, having already had players such as Welbeck & Jonny Evans on load.O'neill is very keen to bring him to the SOLAs a united fan i would be very happy to see sessegnon going the other way....looks like a real talentIs that after he signs for villa zzzWell you can keep your hands off sess, the lad is going no where. sess and mon have said this.

don't rate fabio much, and don't want him at safcFabio is no great loss.. send him to any one who wants him.. MUFC..Hes going to benfeca

Real madrid have tied links with Ac Milan youngster stephen el shaaraway estimate price of over 15 million(7)(17)

16 Apr 2012 15:30:00
Jacob Butterfield will leave Barnsley for Stoke with Michael Tonge going the other way on a permanent deal. Barnsley are also interested in Arismendi from the Potters.(24)(11)Barnsley will not pay wages of either of them & what good is a player who,s played less than half the games he,s been available for ? while on loanWhy would Tonge drop down 2 divisionsTonge is at Barnsley on loan and will be mutually released by Stoke in the Summer along with Tom Soares and a couple more. Sheff Utd have shown an interest in Tonge as have Burnley.Cant see it. tonge will end up back at the blunts if they go up.arismendi i guess would be an improvement in doyle if we could rid ourselves of him.Butterfield, will have a few options open to him but will he want to warm a premiership bench all season and do a adam hammill ?

16 Apr 2012 15:23:53
Rotherham set to sign Kyle McFadzean from Crawley following interest from Doncaster Rovers FC and Peterborough United FC(12)(15)

16 Apr 2012 15:22:14
Doncaster desperate to sign strikers Shaun Miller from Crewe and Izale McLeod from Barnet. Also defenders Kyle McFadzean from Crawley and Troy Archibald-Henville from Exeter as they all look to be improving Dean Saunders and his scouts!(15)(7)

16 Apr 2012 15:07:09
Bit of a strange one this morning

Man Utd are reportedly interested in Stoke City youngster Ryan O'Reilly. It wouldn't be the first time that Man U have taken youth from the Potters of course with Ritchie De Laet and Ben Foster heading to OT in recent years.
Park and a loan player have been linked with the Potters who had an ambitious bid for Michael Carrick on loan rejected last August.
Man Utd also have a clause in Ryan Shawcross' contract of course should he move on.(9)(6)

16 Apr 2012 14:35:23
ivan ramis will move to wigan in the summer along with grant leadbitter, lacina traore and somen tchoyi.(4)(8)

16 Apr 2012 14:30:33
if wigan stay in the prem this season they will attempt to sign lacina traore, somen tchoyi, grant leadbitter and and cristian rodriguez and a centre back.(7)(12)Hope its true, Lacina Traore is apparently 6'8''. Scare the life out of some defenders.Lacina traore will go to swansea (probably) or maybe arsenal (unlikely)I've seen Lacina on youtube and he looks a beast. I've also heard that your interested in Mikel Gonzalez of Real Sociedad, Ivan Klasnic of Bolton and Ki Sung-Yueng of Celtic.
P.S. Hope Wigan stay in the prem, good, honest side, better than most clubs. Good luck tonight against Arsenal! After last nights result it is looking like Wigan will survive. Well Done .... er so far!

Shaun Brisley (£300k) - DEF
Nathaniel Knight-Percival (Free) - DEF

Maybe:

Marlon Pack - MID
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - MID (did realy well for us last season and Ferguson likes him. Stocky build, strong and quick. Good crossing ability for Tryone Barnett as well)
Chris Robertson - DEF
Joe Murphy - GK

Peterborough Summer outs:

Joe Lewis
Paul Jones
George Boyd
Paul Taylor
Nicky Ajose
David Hibbert (if fit)(15)(5)

16 Apr 2012 14:01:12
I have it on good authority that Watford are looking at signing Dundee (as opposed to Dundee United) winger Ryan Conroy in the Summer.(11)(5)Hes a great player really dont want to see another one leave.. dont see this one

16 Apr 2012 13:54:24
Huddersfield keeper Alex Smithies is to sign for Bolton gathers pace. Joe Lewis from Peterborough to replace him between the sticks. Cody McDonald is looking a certainty to come in to replace Reading bound Jordan Rhodes. Also possible new signings are believed to include Patrick Kisnorbo from Leeds Utd and Gai Assulin from Manchester City. Strong rumour is that Giles Barnes may be on his way to Huddersfield after Doncaster have finally been relegated. We wait and hope early signings of any of these players can be confirmed shortly.(11)(9)Kisnorbo may well retire through injury, shame because before his first injury when Leeds were in league one, he was quality.Rhodes to reading ?, get in line with about 5 established prem clubs also stating their interest.MacDonald will stay at Cov.

16 Apr 2012 13:32:06
Ipswich have got their sights on a number of different targets this summer, which include the following:
Gk- Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Scott Loach (Watford), Joe Lewis (Peterborough), Alex Smithies (Huddersfield)
Rb- Lowton (Sheffield United), Joel Ward (Porstmouth), Adam Smith (Tottenham), Jack Hunt (Huddersfield)
Cb- Titus Bramble (Sunderland), Harry Maguire (Sheffield United), Richard Stearman (Wolves), Jason Pearce (Portsmouth)
Cm- Paul Coutts (Preston), Anthony Wordsworth (Colchester), Kane Ferdinand (Southend), David Norris (Portsmouth)
Lw- Matt Ritchie (Swindon), George Boyd (Peterborough)
St- Paul Taylor (Peterborough), Daryl Murphy (Celtic), Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield)

Ipswich will not sign all of these but are looking to make around 7 or 8 signings.(9)(36)I cant see Rhodes or Norris coming back here, and Titus will have to behave, too many wrong doings in the meadia, i can see a few on here who PJ would be interested in Like Richie, Guzan, Lowton, Smithies, Pearce, Smith, but we will see come early summer. Is the same Ipswich who are over £60m in debt and spend 98.8% of turnover on wages and salaries. The impending finance rules mean that all clubs in the Championship will need to start reducing squads and costsYou can have Richard Stearman for me, not close to Premier quality but will do a job in the Championship. What total load of pants, why do people write so much CRAP!!. Dream onWhy would stearman move when he is a great championship defender and a local lad. he will stay with wolves.I'm a town fan and these are just players we have been linked with by the media or scouted over the season rather than concrete transfer rumours. All clubs need to reduce wages in line with turnover altough these rulings won't be as strictly inforced immediately. To The second re plyer above, is obviously a scum from up the road, Now, Ipswich are looking to build on the above £60million debt, in the summer Marcus Evans is allowing another £40 Million to be spent on players to get Ipswich into the Premiership, like Man U Liverpool and others that are well in debt to around £300 million.

So what ive written above is a load of bcks, as is the scum supporters comments about our Debt

16 Apr 2012 12:57:26
Leeds to sign derby midfielder paul green on a free transfer(19)(15)

16 Apr 2012 12:57:20
hearts signing lee wallace(5)(11)

16 Apr 2012 12:55:57
Alex McLeish will walk away from the Villa job this week. It is understood to be by the termination of the contract!(12)(24)Oh not more of this rubbishI wish this was true the worst manager ever to have gone to the Villa and that list is not short.Walk away and give up his contract rights! yeah ok.You get what you pay for, He was a defender in his day, and his teams play ultra tight & defensive, always trying to avoid defeat, which results in all his teams playing negative football, evidence is all the drawn games this season, and Villa just hovering above relegation zone.
His glass is always half full, there is no way with the players Villa have that they should be struggling...And yet we can't defend.....the mind boggles

16 Apr 2012 12:55:28
Ben parker and mika vayrynen have been released by leeds united? Mot(20)(2)

16 Apr 2012 12:25:52
Tottenham - see Tim Krul as a replacement for the ageing friedel, expect a 10 million

Sunderland - interested in sigurdsson, mcgeady and fletcher

West Brom - want robert snodgrass and jordan rhodes(20)(23)10 mil LOL One of the best keepers in the prem and his age too? More like 20 mil and then maybe...That will buy his gloves another 15 migth buy him20m whats this guy smoking(1st reply) he wont be leaving anyway but defo not at 20m, and am sure w brom do want snodgrass and rhodes, so do alot of teams doesnt me there gunna get 'em!
Huddsfield want xavi, scholesy, iniesta and messi, UTTMorons, he wouldn't even be worth 10m, no wonder Newcastle are doing so well if people pay over the odds for their players...If krul goes it will be to a big club not a 1 season wonder club. Not worth 10 mil? Sounds like a SMB to me... Swansea and Newcastle's keepers are the best 2 young keeprs in the league. So yeah, at least 20 mil for him to be sold. Tiote, 30 mil, Cabaye, 1st season, 15 -20 mil. HBA - 20 mil etc etc Newcastle are joint 4th on merrit not becasue their palyers are over rated.Deluded geordie, your players might be worth that on football manager not in real life dummy.Players are worth whatever clubs are willing to offer as for Krul he wouldn't leave for anything less than £15m obviously sunderland fan making up this rumour

16 Apr 2012 12:13:39
Latest sad but heard from East Midlands.
Cotrill leaving Forrest to become New Boss at STFC.Dicanio is off to West Ham.
Comes as a shock or does it???
Rumours have been on the cards since xmas and Big Sam to retire due to Health problems.
If true Dicannio will be missed however whoever comes in will have a hard job on there hands(6)(27)Why would sc leave forest, to go and join swindon??If I was a Forest fan I would be praying that was true. Never known a manager big himself up so much and achieve so little as SC. Even talked of himself as a future England manager onceTwo points on this which i think is rubbish- firstly Di Canio is still not expericenced enough yet i think he will do another season with us and West Ham could still go up yet.

Big Sam is a personal friend of David Gold the chairman at West Ham and i cant see him leaving the club after one season.
I dont like big Sams style of football as its hoofball but lets face it West Ham fans and Spurs fans are the biggest moaners of all the leagues and when things dont go their way all you hear is West Ham fans moaning.

Before the season kicked off West Ham fans were all shouting they would win the league easily -well now they know it isnt easy. Istill think they will get automatic as i have a feeling Southampton will blow the last couple of games.

16 Apr 2012 10:56:31
David Norris is set to leave Portsmouth in the summer and return to Ipswich Town due to the almost certain relegation of Portsmouth from the championship!(25)(10)We would not have him back after he only left for money in the first place serves him right for being greedy. He'll go to Posh, nearer his home links, Not Ipswich Fact

16 Apr 2012 10:51:04
Southampton want Blackburn defender Scott Dann.

Source: The Sun...

I'm a southampton fan, one of the few not assuming we are up! Hoping for the best though, and apologies for some muppets on here already referring to us as a "premiership club".(21)(8)Im also a Southampton fan who is not assuming we are up! But Scott Dann is absolute ste, much rather Richard Stearman of WolvesMost Southampton fans are not assuming we are up, just a few juvenile muppets on here. Wether we go up or not, unfortunately, the wannabe footie managers will again be linking us with hundreds of players, 99.9% of which will be bs.Dann is ten times the player Stearman is.

16 Apr 2012 08:55:54
Nigel Clough is willing to give Chris Maguire a chance next season when he returns from loan at Portsmouth. This means that Clough will allow Callum Ball to go out on loan to a lower championship side. Nathan Tyson has also attracted interest from newly promoted side Charlton Athletic, with 700k the asking price for the striker who can also play as a winger.(14)(5)Tyson can also play as a winger? He can't stay fit never mind play.Nathan Tyson to Charlton! I dont think so mate, we need good players.

16 Apr 2012 08:12:57
Why would a wolves player want to go to southampton when they will be favourite to come back down ? oh and thats if they do go up , i can see west ham nicking 2nd place at the death.(20)(12)Because Saints will have the chance to stay there. Wolves are going down, and are not returning for a while. Havent got the money to do so, and havent got the board to do so. Club in turmoil."Why would a wolves player want to go to southampton when they will be favourite to come back down ?"
So that they could play in the Premier LeagueBecause footballers want to play in the Premier League even if its only for a relegation battle. If Southampton do go down again, such players will simply look for another move to the next promoted team.
And as a Wolves fan, I would warn clubs about the "cherry-picking-from-relegated-teams" strategy. Its not worked too well for us, has it?The club has more than enough money , ranked 4th in the premier league in accordance with UEFA finance policy regarding monies in/out.Of the three clubs to go down Wolves do not have to sell players to survive financially Wolves are in the black not the red unlike a lot of clubs."Why would a wolves player want to go to Southampton when they will be favourite to come back down" So he wont be relegated to league1 next season!

Let’s face it Wolves had their chance in the big league and lost it when they sacked McCarthy and to compound it would not give a new manager a contract beyond the end of the season.

Many financial woes are ahead, budgets will be cut and players sold. The vultures are already circling over head, doom, its all doom I tell ya!I think you are all missing the point. If Saints are promoted then the players will be on Premiership wages.
I think you will find that most relegated sides are having to rebuild and even with a parachute payment will not pay the same sort of money.
Simples!Maybe for the same reason that Fletcher left Burnley for Wolves...........Premier league football. Will be real tough for Soton if they come up and will need to spend big. Fletcher is a realistic target who can score goals. Why are Southampton favourites to go down? Thought we'd all realised that it isn't the newly promoted clubs that are always likely to go down - they usually have a solid base from a strong championship campaign and then plenty of money to invest in players. Most likely to go down are those teams languishing in the lower-end of the prem and not willing to invest.

Look at Norwich and Swansea. Saints may go down but to dub them favourites instantly is unfounded now-a-days. Those poor, scrappy clubs who just stay up will be as likely to go down, if not more.Wet Sham have not got the bottle to nick it, there'll be 6 London Clubs in the Championship next season!Agree with your sentiment but we are not favourites to go down, yet 'cos we haven't gone up, yet!

16 Apr 2012 08:09:22
Ipswich are said to be interested in Swindon winger Matt Ritchie, but Swindon manager Paulo Di Cannio insists he's not for sale.

Ipswich are also understood to be in the hunt for Peterborough pair George Boyd, Paul Taylor.

Scott Loach could also be on Paul Jewell's radar if Watford can come to an agreement where Kuzsack signs permanently from Manchester United.(20)(5)Ipswich have no money when will there fans realise they are being bailed out by there rich owner who will only go so far!I assume poster one is a budgie. Hate to break it to you but how many clubs actually are not in debt / have an owner chairman who bank rolls them?So seems like Ipswich are looking to buy all these players with Monoply money so when are you Ipswich fans going to wake up from your dream and realise you wont be signing Matt Ritchie for a start as you couldnt affford him and if he did go it would only be the fee our club want for him. There is a plan at STFC to progress up the leagues and Ritchie is a key player and enjoys playing under Paolo as he can see his ambition and where he can take the club. Ipswich under Jewell blow hot and cold and cant see next season being any different.Di Canio wont be at Swindon next season, expect him to be championship manager

16 Apr 2012 03:05:58
Hearing strong news wigan want to sign lacina traore.
The 21 year old has played 34 matches and has scored 15 goals for FC Kuban.(13)(8)PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!! this guy is taller than crouch! He be on big money at FC Kuban so can not see it happening and your more then likey to go downHe is not going to wigan who will again be fighting for survibal next year, he is most likely going to swansea or if not arsenal

16 Apr 2012 01:16:18
Paul Lambert will look to Australia's A league in the summer
With deals being lined up for Melbourne Victory's Marco Rojas
and Central Coast Mariners Bernie Ibini-Isei(7)(24)Lol , this is Ridiculous Rojas has been a mayor flop this season i doubt a league 2 club would even look at him as for Ibini ,well hes quick and thats about itI was at the Sydney v Melbourne game and Rojas beat 3 players before almost scoring. He is a good player and young

15 Apr 2012 23:56:22
Barnsleys Jacob Butterfield is set for a move to the premierleague with Norwich, Newcastle and Swansea interested(18)(13)
