Bournemouth to sign Nathan Ake on loan until January and Lewis Dunk for £210k from Brighton

210k for dunk? I assume you don't mean Lewis as he is valued at 3mil plus and probably isn't up for being relegated to league one!

Assume you know little; AFCB are a Championship club and highly funded by Max Denim

19 May 2013 08:07:06
Strange. seeing as he's been injured and not played really for afcb. why weren't they going for him when bmth bought him in Jan

He probably wants to stay at Brighton as it is a really steady ship at the moment with a really settled manager who has the full support of the club *thumb to nose* HONK! HONK!

Yeah, championship this season, league one next. And where did your ridiculously low valuation of dunk come from? Or are you just making it up!

Dunk won't leave Brighton for Bournemouth. We haven't got a new manager yet so we''re unaware whether his/her plans for the future will include Dunky

I don't know where you got your information from but he can't even get into afcb first team yet so I don't think he will be going to southampton

How is Dunk worth at £210k? He's worth 10 times more than that. Stop getting facts from 2010's football manager

Dunk is worth a lot more than quoted here.

Assume you know better, the reason dunk didn't play the first half of the season is because he was in a court case at the high court, and was kept out of the team in the second half by Matthew Upson. Assuming Upson doesn't join (he is out of contract) Dunk will definitely be part of Brightons plans next season, whoever the manager is!

Barnsley FC players in:
Rory Delap (free)
Lewin Nyatanga (free)
Lee Novak (free)
Chris O'Grady (£350,000)
John Stones (Season Long Loan)

Like most of the above, but why would we want delay, if we're getting stones back?

Dj says Barnsley do a lot of talking about oGrady they should put up or shut up, there is nobody who talks more than him, he is Boring

Stones would be brilliant, with goldbourne opposite. Chris Ogrady and another striker for me and its a decent looking squad.

Baarnsley trying to get ogrady on cheap £350,000 you ain't got any money.

What about the 3 million we got for stones and about 1 million we got from our fa cup run?

Barnsley have the money for o'grady,
350,000 is good money for a player that is not wanted by his club,
This is another sheff Wednesday fan who thinks they are still in the prem,
You need reminding its 13years ago now and you have spent most of that time in the lower leagues,
You have only just got back to the championship and are still considered a lower league side, with an out of date stadium,
As for money barnsley have never been over 20 million in debt, and had to sell there training ground,

Where do fans of other clubs get Barnsley have no money as been said before we got money from Stones and Vas Te not spent yet.

We are not in debt nor have we had to sell our training ground get your facts right.

Is that the same traing ground that's on middlewood road and your west stand is state of the art outside toilets get it right

Yeah, and I wouldn't want to pi$$ anywhere else mate

The facts are that Wednesday at the time were 25 million in debt, and had to put the training ground up for sale,
A position barnsley have never been in.

What a short memory you have not long ago you were in administration then along came doyle and risdale almost admin again you don't even own the land round your ground that's council owned that includes your training ground sold to stave off admin

18 May 2013 22:30:58
A number of league one clubs are looking in to signing free agent lee novak. Preston, gillingham, wolves, port vale are all said to be intrested.

19 May 2013 00:31:34
it is between preston and Barnsley

Barnsley is closer to his house in Yorkshire so I can see him going for a Championship club

18 May 2013 22:24:14
Cheltenham boss Mark Yates is looking to sign a young defender on loan. His top two targets are former loanees Michael Hector (Reading) and Ashley Eastham (Blackpool).

Eastham is a free agent

I hope it's not Eastham, he had some shockers on loan at Bury last season.

Eastham has been released so would be available on a free

He was offered a contract & hence compensation will be payable as he's under 24

18 May 2013 22:03:53
Bristol City are hoping to sign Cheltenham goalkeeper Scott Brown as a replacement for Tom Heaton who signed for Burnley.

Would cost Bristol City money - not necessarily sure he will be their choice, at least for this season.

18 May 2013 21:54:12
A lot of championship clubs including Derby, Huddersfield and Charlton are looking at out-of-contract hearts winger & Lithuanian International Arvydas Novikivas. If hearts offer him a contract then a development fee will be required, but it looks like they're not going too.

We can't sign him! Robins won't even know how to spell his name! He can't even spell Anzhi Makhachkala!

Terrier25

18 May 2013 22:00:16
Steve Clarke wants to bring Florent Malouda to West Brom on a free transfer.

I would love this to happen, 2 or 3 seasons ago he was one of their best players. Unfortunately I think his wages will be too much.

Why do you say wages will be to much do you negotiate albion will pay what they have to don't believe they don't

Doubt this would happen. He's 32 and unreliable.

18 May 2013 21:53:26
Jon Meades will turn his back on Oxford United to sign for AFC Wimbledon. The versatile player had a successful loan spell at the club, and both parties are interested in making the move permanent. Meades played 26 times for the dons, including scoring 1 goal.

Good riddance to any players at Afc Wimbledon that opt to join other clubs. We want players who want to play for us and I always think there better options out there. Hope we checking out the cream of Barnet and conference sides that missed out on promotion as well as released players from top clubs. This is the blend we need and players who are out to prove themselves

Really hope this is true

Don't know why he'd do that, apparently he was made "an unbelievable offer"

Would be great if Meades signed for us but if he's had this amazing offer which I've heard is from Oxford he will probably take the money, would love to know how much they offered

I'd say the "unbelievable" part will be length. We've not got a huge budget and are looking to get players in on long-term contracts now. Players like the knowledge they're guaranteed a job for a long time.

Oxford are losing £500,000 a year, doubt they will pay much more than us. could mean a higher club is in for him, hope Neal Ardley can persuade him

19 May 2013 18:10:56
Cadogen and Hyde from aldershot and barnet might be good prospects. Tory Brown was recently followed my Simon Bassey on twitter, doesn't mean much much that could mean we are in talks? Just speculating.

Within 2 years i'd like to see us having 5 players who have come through the youth ranks in the first team squad. For us to develop we are also going to need a star player come through that commands a big transfer fee to a team in the higher leagues. Only then can we buy and sell and wheel and deal to get a team strong in every department. Do think we need a lot of players now seeing who has gone and the only one I disagreed with going was Asano as he played so good against Fleetwood. We need a big target man upfront a top centre back to be next to Bennett and a tricky winger would be nice.

Also saw Bassey is following Danny Hylton recently to, like you say might mean nothing

Jim Fenlon was allegedly attracting interest in January from prem and championship clubs, he's our star player

22 May 2013 18:26:20
Meades signed for oxford utd today on oxford website

18 May 2013 21:52:13
Burnley are reportedly interested in bringing West Brom defender Gonzalo Alejandro Jara Reyes to Turf Moor

18 May 2013 21:51:45
Heard we could be signing jack Payne from Gillingham, now that Peterborough have been relegated. I think they had an agreement to sign him. Never heard of him though.

Are (we) a good team then?

Staying at Gillingham now, won't be joining ''we''

19 May 2013 11:36:30
Which team? He is a good player

Doh! Sorry I posted it on the Ipswich page. Yes heard we are in for him, but what do I know. Pete B

Was very good for Posh and a good player, likes to tackle

Payne will join Posh, wants to stay and help us back to the Championship.

18 May 2013 21:12:53
Huddersfield are trying to sign:
Adam Hamill (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Andy bishop could be on his way to north Wales to join Wrexham.

18 May 2013 13:52:51
Any bristol city interest in nahki wells?
Ed, who are our realistically targets?

Nahki wells has pledged next season with bradford city. said on tv today.

Few championship clubs interested and Leeds Utd have been keen for some time. can't realistically see him heading into Div 1 and playing for anyone but Bradford or a larger team. City doesn't quite cut the mustard.

18 May 2013 20:59:38
Ex Aberdeen winger, now AFC Bournemouth player, Ryan Fraser in talks with Southhampton over a possible move after less than 6 months at the club.

Information from reliable source!

I also heard this the other week from a Southampton source but I can't see his frustration at a lack of first team football being cured by Southampton in the prem? I've also heard Swindon want him on a loan which would be a better move as would get first team football

But there manager leaving so and hasn't discussed tranfers yet

Not true! he's a AFCB future prospect why would he join scummers?

Cannot see ryan fraser going anywhere he has not even played other than coming on as sub at bmth

18 May 2013 20:53:45

Rumours:

Where are the out players going to?

Burnley haven't got that's sort of money behave

Nahki wells is not good enough. He is no better than Danny Ings

19 may 2013 11:11:22
wells has already stated that he's staying next season, that coupled with a 1 million release clause tells me that burnley have more chance of platting fog.

There is just rumours they are unhappy at the club so more than likely they will be sold

Half a mill tops for wells

We will not be signing Wells especially for 1million and he committed to the club after promotion yesterday.

More likely is Harlee Dean or Harry Forrester from Brentford who failed to gain promotion today.

Where do Burnley get their funds from because it can't be from the attendances.

Burnley have money simply because we never spend any but trust me when I say there is cash available, the 1 season in the prem cleared any debt we had, we are 1 of the only clubs in any division to be completely debt free then take into account the sales over the past few seasons i. e: Fletcher, Rodriguez, Fox and all were replaced at a pittance, the fact is Burnley will not put the club at risk by spending big, granted its not very exciting for us supporters but in 15-20 years time Burnley FC will still be around, does any club want to go down the Portsmouth route. Daz

Would love forrester. just need to raid league 1. peterborough have loads of talent.

Wells is not good enough for championship, one more year at us and he may be better, but so over rated at the min

18 May 2013 20:37:41
Jonathan meades is having serious interest from league two teams Mansfield town Exeter city Oxford united and Scunthorpe united and bournemouth expressed interest of taking Nathan ake on loan for the season

18 May 2013 21:15:50
Tony Mowbray keen on Javier Acuna from Real Madrid and Samba Sow of Lens both on free transfers. Josh King and Burton star Maghoma also rumoured to join to the club.

18 May 2013 19:36:54
David Moyes is interested in making a surprise move for Leon Osman for £8 million to provide competition for Michael Carrick.
Moyes is very interested in Gareth Bale for £55million and is prepared to sell Nani, Valencia, Hernandez and Rooney to provide the funds.
He also wants to sign Marouane Fellaini however he is not after Leighton Baines due to Evra and the upcoming Alexander Buttner.

Baines better than Evra. Carrick better than Osman

18 May 2013 19:35:22
Rumour going round Northampton that Walsall are in talks with Cobblers striker Adebayo Akinfenwa's representatives over a possible move to the Banks's stadium

Akinfenwa has told Aidy Boothroyd he wants to play league one football next season and is expected to be leaving sixfields

He's retiring?

No he isn't

Yes he going to retire at 31 isn't he

He doesn't seem like a Dean Smith signing. I'd rather us keep Griggy and Westcarr

I would love the beast to come to Walsall

18 May 2013 20:40:59
John Ryan has announced that the interview panel have got the applicants down to two candidates, with an early decision early in the week. He did not give names but the assumption is the candidates are Dickov and Appleton.

18 May 2013 20:35:35
Banbury United winger kynan Isaac will be on trial at Plymouth argyle during the summer, the ex reading winger who has previously had trials at Pompey and Ipswich.

Also being looked at is Oxford city's Brazilian forward (cannot remember his name!) who has been on trial at Fulham last season.

Felipe Barcelos

Hope this is true because he is better than Paris Cowan hall all day long. He has scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for Banbury last season so that is good

Are you aware that around 1 in 3 at Southern League Premier Division.

What you mean mate

Mate does matter what league it is in he still has a good record for scoring

Yeah but cowan hall didn't have a bad scoring record for woking but you seem to dislike him

18 May 2013 20:24:55
Eddie Howe is a contender for the Brighton job if and when Gus Poyet leaves.
Other targets include Roberto Martinez, Roberto Di Matteo and former player Nicky Forster

I want di matto {Ed034's Note - di matteo has said he will only go to a team in the top flight

I think the bookies would have thought of that before they put him as favourite so highly doubt he said that {Ed001's Note - you have no idea how bookmaking works! The more money placed on, the lower the odds. It is that simple, nothing to do with them thinking.}

Actually DiMatteo has been at the Amex watching the last three games, so there's more legs to this possible appointment than you might think. {Ed001's Note - he is Poyet's mate! Zola has been at as many of the games as he could as well, is he being lined up too?}

19 May 2013 19:12:37
Ed di matteo is a mate off gus but who cares if he wants to get back in football he will come to brighton and how can Zola be at the Amex when we are playing I would had though he would had been at Watford {Ed001's Note - I wasn't saying anything about whether he would be the new manager, I was merely pointing out why he was at the games. Nothing to do with looking to take the job, everything to do with supporting a mate. Teams do play on different days at times you know, that was how Zola was there, like when he was sat by Di Matteo during the last play off semi final. I have no idea if he Di Matteo has any interest in the Brighton job, but it is idiotic to suggest him being there the last few games shows he is interested!}

Why Nicky Forster? The only clubs he's managed are Brentford who he got sacked from after a few months and the mighty Dover Athletic.

18 May 2013 20:16:38
Owen Coyle next brighton manager inside in info

You're welcome to him

18 May 2013 22:35:37
Don't want him it is what it is

18 May 2013 22:46:48
If he come's to brighton I will cry. We want Di Matteo

18 May 2013 20:01:48
Burton hoping to sign alex McDonald and matt Patterson to sign a new contract early next week

Walsall have offered Paterson a two year deal.

Wow, where did you hear this? Paterson is due to sign a contract to keep him at Burton. MacDonald I believe is staying as well?

18 May 2013 19:45:53
Billy Mckay from Inverness is joining Derby this Week! My mate is cousins with him!

If your mate is cousins with him then where did he grow up and what school did he attend?

Be a good sign if its true but it hasn't being mentioned much tho

I think he is under contract.

Fits the bill of being Scotish, as Clough likes hard working ethic of the Scottish game.

According to DET we have been watching Johnny Russell DUFC striker. maybe backup to Vaughan as it seems we are losing out to Huddersfield it seems.

18 May 2013 19:28:53
wilson palacios to hull

Why is it every player who has ever played under Bruce is linked with Hull. Too old and injury prone. Never been as good since he left Wigan. Already had his chance to come to Hull earlier in the season on loan but was not interested. Central midfield enforcer required not another sick note. Already similar players at the club who are younger, fitter and better. No chance. Hull don't won't him. Hull City Fan.

18 May 2013 19:27:38
Stephen Hunt to return to Hull City and Elmo to go bk on loan to Hull City

Hunt, no thanks. As soon as we left the premiership last time he left straight away. Why would Hull want him back. Contract player who is no longer premiership standard.

18 May 2013 19:24:09
Former Leeds and Huddersfield manager Simon Grayson has applied for the vacant managers job at Millwall.

Why would he? pne wouldn't let him go

Why would he?

Let me think. Championship team, money for players, decent support and a good wage.

Think PNE fans should ask "Why Not"

18 May 2013 21:47:05
There's a thing called compensation or him quitting!

18 May 2013 23:45:28
just spoke to his son joe who as said it all crap his dad is happy at preston and would not move down south

19 May 2013 00:17:03
Former Leeds and Huddersfield manager Simon Grayson has applied for the vacant managers job at Millwall.

Good please stay at PNE.

Money for players? Millwall are absolutely broke!

Millwall broke? Really, our chairman is constantly investing in the club not to mention the money we got from our fa cup run. Unlike some clubs, we just choose not to spend above our means. The chairman will back our new manager with money. That's a guarantee. Kenny jacket didn't like spending it, that's all.

18 May 2013 19:17:22
Looks like meades is going
To sign for Oxford not Pompey

18 May 2013 19:16:19

Bhosdike Randi

18 May 2013 20:36:28
He'll be great in the championship

18 May 2013 19:29:46
cardiff city have made an 9 million move for wba pair graham dorrans and chris brubt.

Brunts out of contract and Dorrans is worth 800k

19 May 2013 00:38:38
& Dorrans wants to move closer to Scotland not further away

Dorrans is also out of contract

Aint they both out of contract in the summer and not sure if we need them tbh we need a pacey out and out winger a striker and a few defenders

18 May 2013 19:08:16
Hibs will sign Kenny miller and lee Novak next couple of weeks

18 May 2013 18:57:28
Players to leave Rochdale: Kennedy tutte Henderson Edwards

18 May 2013 18:46:47
When returning from his holiday in Portugal, Paul Caddis will be told he can leave because the club can't afford his huge wage demand. Clubs interested: Birmingham (although they have had many bids rejected) Middlesbrough, Bournemouth, Derby and Nottm Forest.

Huge wage demand, boro can't afford normal wage demand, we are not interested

How has he got a huge wage demand he plays for swindon. Clue IN

He's the highest payed player at STFC, want him to stay but I think he's championship bound

He is on loan to Birmingham from Swindon because they can't afford his wages

He won't be on more than 15 k a week so boro can afford him

18 May 2013 18:29:02
ANY BRISTOL CITY TRANSFER NEWS IN OR OUT.

18 May 2013 18:26:54
Burton linked to defender Phil Edwards from rochdale

18 May 2013 18:23:54
Rumour is that boro will unveil thir new kit on Monday, and it will be worn by a new signing, thought to be chris solly or jacques maghoma

18 May 2013 18:23:22
Bristol city to sign scott flindes, Seyi Olofinjana and jay simpson. Sam baldock is likely to be leaving the club, burnley, Sheffield wed and charlton and reported to be interested in him

Sam Baldock going Charlton

19 May 2013 20:32:11
Given the age criteria BCFC are aiming at, I seriously doubt the Olofinjana rumour but the Simpson one would fit, especially as he's on a free!
The Flinders rumour seems to be strengthening so could be true as well.

18 May 2013 18:00:26
Hull City want to raid Wigan for Ben Watson, Emmerson Boyce and Shaun Maloney

Watson and Maloney would be a great addition, not sure bout Boyce.

18 May 2013 17:56:34

Rumored price 2.5mill

18 May 2013 17:55:13
Danny Rose to sign for Sunderland for £9million

Hope so fantastic player, will do well for us, promising England future ahead. If he signs a big thank you to ES.

18 May 2013 17:53:36
Danny Simpson is off on a free to Fulham

No chance.

We've signed Riether now.

Don't need another one.

Injury cover?

18 May 2013 17:53:16
Hull City will try and bring in Keiren Westwood for £2.5mill from Sunderland

Hull already have better players at the club. At this rate nearly every Sunderland or Wigan player is coming to Hull. Look further a field. Bruce will sign unknown quality players for a few million and turn them into premiership super stars a. k. a Valencia. Bruce also gets the best out of players such as Elmo etc which other clubs can't because they don't know how!

18 May 2013 17:52:02
neil warnock was spotted at the keepmoat last week

18 May 2013 17:51:22
Sunderland to offer £16mill for Stephan El Shaarawy of AC Milan

This is just like the cavani rumour never going to happen

If this happened I would punch myself in the face. {Ed003's Note - wow}

I hope so

18 May 2013 17:49:52
Chelsea bid 32m for Marouane Fellaini

He has a £23 million buy out clause so doubt it!

That would seem like a waste as it is widley known that he has a £22 million release clause.

18 May 2013 17:19:38
Calvin Zola has received a number of offers (so far) rumoured to include league 1 new boys Rotherham & Port Vale. The Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner was also interested but his interest has cooled as Zola's wage demands are well in excess of the club's wage structure. Turner may well turn to a couple of non league targets, Hereford's Bowman & Malbon from Kidderminster.

We don't won't non-league players! we need quality

Quality costs money and that's something that we don't have.

18 May 2013 17:17:44
Huddersfield are trying to sign:
Adam Hamill (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Lee Camp (Norwich City)
James Vaughan (Norwich City)
Stephen McPhail (Cardiff City)
Daniel Ayala (Notts Forest)

Ayala is not a forest player. he was on-loan from norwich

McPhail is 33, can't see Dean Hoyle sanctioning signing a player of that age, goes against stated club policy. Ayala out of contract but only been a bit player while on loan at Forrest, can't see him being signed, much better defenders out there at the moment.

18 May 2013 19:51:48
Ayala is a norwich player so good information there mate.

I'm suprised Ayala hasn't been given a chance at Norwich by Hughton. Can see him leaving unfortunately

He was on loan at Forest and spent most of the time out injured, too injury prone!

18 May 2013 17:11:52
Shrewsbury look to have lost out on one their targets, winger Mark Duffy. The ex Scunthorpe man is close to signing for league 1 Tranmere.

If this was true it would be a brilliant signing for tranmere. Hopefully it comes off

Scunthorpe have just taken a further year option on his contract so he's not EX Scunthorpe player he is still a contracted Scunthorpe player. A fee would be demanded. Check your facts before stating the untruth!

Duffy is quality in spells but incredibly inconsistent. As a Scunny fan I'd take 200k.

Your still in league 2 though so if he's happier in a lower division fair enough, truth

Will Duffy want to stay at the Irons though? He is far too good a player to be playing in the basement league and has he actually agreed a one year extension?

22 May 2013 19:00:03
Iv watched liam boyce alk season wot a joy to watch first touch vision second till none a year or two playing fulltime football and he could end up being 1 of the best strikers in the. uk

18 May 2013 17:03:52
aaron ramsey too cardiff

watch this space

Im a cardiff city fan, I hope this happens, but there is no chance

18 May 2013 17:02:07
Plymouth Argyle are in talks to re-sign Darren purse as a player coach, his family miss life in the south west and would rather live there than in south Warwickshire

Good luck daren pvfc

I hope so great defender at this level

His family never moved to the south west, they lived in London, so its not going to happen

Coach yes, player no.
He was great when we first signed him then last season was very poor and too many mistakes. He did the same at Port Vale and cost them regularly too. Wages too high for the quality that he brings. Branston is much better too!

19 May 2013 18:05:52
His family live in fenny Compton! Hardly london

18 May 2013 16:51:41
Huddersfield Town are close to signing out of contract Norwic keeper Lee Camp once his contracts runs out at the end of the season.

That's a load of rubbish as his family stayed in the midlands the whole time he was at Plymouth however it wouldn't surprise me if he went back there

18 May 2013 16:50:54
Ebanks Blake to sign for notts county if he can prove his fitness after his injury

No he won't can't afford him!

He was earning a premier league players wage for the last 5 years. Not sure our £50 a week plus a snickers would cover that

18 May 2013 16:34:25
Charlton looking to sign ebanks-blake sam baldock mark gower Jonathon obika and also another centre midfielder. going out will be stephens hollands and other youngster.

18 May 2013 16:12:53
Akinfenwa to Walsall after losing the League 2 play-off final with Northampton, said he would leave if they didn't get to League 1. Out of contract then end of this season

Wud luv it if its true and he does come

I can't see Bayo getting a new contract at Cobblers as Boothroyd prefers Platt

Bayo is a fan favourite at the Cobblers! He can hold it up well and bring other plays into the. He can also bag a few goals to! Please stay Bayo!

18 May 2013 16:11:06
Aberdeen after Gary Woods for free

18 May 2013 16:08:35
Swansea City striker Rory Donnelly will join Wolves this summer after the club released this seasons top scorer Sylvan Ebanks-Blake as they tried to reduce their wage bill as they enter the third tier of English football since 1989.

No he's not

Rubbish! why would they need another kid that age when they have got Cass and Macca

18 May 2013 16:01:33
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wants to sign Nathan Ake on loan from Chelsea.

Charlie Austin and Aden Flint will not be joining the club.

Other targets include Martin Paterson from Burnley, Peterborough's Gabriel Zakuani who will not be signing a new deal

An AFCB who talks sense. finally

^ are you a green-eyed Swindle fan?

18 May 2013 15:59:23
Oxford have agreed to sign Bournemouth left back Jon Meades and Torquay striker Rene Howe. Both deals will be announced later this week.

So on Sunday? I bet we ain't signed either by Wednesday!
Wouldn't surprise me if neither come to us!

Meades rejected Oxford last week as he wants to move to Wimbledon instead

Lacks ambition then if he'd rather play in a relegation battled side in front of 2/3k?
Oxford United play in front of what 7k? and have a much better chance of promotion than AFC ever will.
He obviously wants to be a big player in a small pond!

Oxford don't pay that sort of money.

18 May 2013 16:27:51
charlton athletic known to be looking to sign:
O'hara
Baldock
Connolly (crawley)
Powell looking to make around 5 signings to push for a playoff spot. All depending on the transfer budget which is unclear at the moment. At least 1 youth striker will make the jump to senior level.

Baldock to Burnley

Baldocks wages too high for charlton and I think he'll command a fee

18 May 2013 16:23:43
MK Dons target Adebayo Akinfenwa looks set to join after Northampton Town failed to gain promotion.

Adebayo lives between the two areas so the move is practical and Karl Robinson believes he can fill the supporting forward role previously given to Jabo Ibehre and Aaron Wilbraham.

I want him. He's going to be annoyed he was on the bench for the final aswell!

Not a chance. We're trying t get more mobile strikers not ones with the turning circle of an oil tanker.

Look at the players we have signed since Robbo arrived. We don't do "big lads". We look for athletic, nimble players, with good technical ability. Bayo's got a surprisingly good first touch surprisingly but there's no way to look past his lack of mobility.

Seems very likely. Adebayo doesn't hide his ambitions from the public; it's clear he wants to play at a higher level than League Two, and joining a higher division team may be his only chance of that. Robinson's spoke highly of him in the past too, so he's definitely interested.

Nelly the elephant has more agility than that bloated loaf!

Definitely not wanted at MK.

Karl and Bayo are mates, as seen when they were laughing, joking and hugging each other at the end of the JPT tie with cobblers. So wouldn't surprise me if e does come

Please don't do that to us Karl! Things are bad enough as it is!

Oh no! He's been released by Northampton!

Please Karl! Don't do it. PLEASE! :- (

18 May 2013 15:53:30
Former Liverpool man Godwin Antwi is on Preston's radar.

18 May 2013 17:15:33
who?

I could believe this one.

He's a footballer from Ghana playing in Denmark.

Didn't make it at Tranmere, Accrington or Hereford

Graham Westley rates him. !

19 May 2013 12:01:14
if westley rates him then surely Stevenage would be linked with him not preston

Graham westley left months ago

If westley rates him he must be crap

18 May 2013 15:52:54
Simon Grayson looks set to hand Edrissa Sonko the chance to return to English football with Preston North End.

Quality player who deserves another chance in the English League.

Wages may be a stumbling point though

Don't think so pal, he's way past it and playing in the UAE

18 May 2013 16:06:22
Mddlesbrough have received an offer from QPR for Justin hoyte, hence all the speculation linking us with right backs chris solly and danny simpson

18 May 2013 15:42:16

18 May 2013 15:29:50
Huddersfield looking to buy Tommy Rowe from Peterborough, with Posh looking to replace him with ex-Cambridge City defender Ewan Morton.

Doubt it and posh have replacments for him

Who? just googled him and not a sniff!

Seen him at city a few times might do a job in league 1 he's only young

"Young" seems to be the criteria at Posh, I think we have the youngest or second youngest squad in the Football League.

18 May 2013 15:28:25
Nakhi wells will sign for the boro in a switch that will take zemamma to Bradford.

On his way to Burnley

As a boro fan I would like this to happen, but can't see it, we have no money and he would cost around 700k.

Under contract with a release clause of £1mil

Just said after the fantastic win in the play off final that he will be with us next year. End to speculation?

Wells has vowed to stay with city for atleast another season

Dream on Nahki is going nowhere, straight from the horses mouth

18 May 2013 15:25:47
Peterborough will sell George Boyd for 1.5mill to Hull. Tyrone Barnett to Rotherham for 500k. Jack Payne in from Gillingham for 300k Lucas Akins in from Stevenage £150k.

The Boyd, Barnett and Payne are true but not sure about Akins

Boyd is a free agent so no fee involved and he can go where he wants

18 May 2013 17:18:50
Hull already 'bought' Boyd when they paid the loan fee in January.

Stevenage will sell Akins at the right price

18 May 2013 17:57:20
Hes not a PL player

18 May 2013 18:29:51
U will have to cough up more Payne at least 500,000

Boyd, I'm afraid has already signed at Hull for 200k as part of a deal struck in the previous transfer window. Not sure if he is good enough for premiership. Personally would do a deal with Celtic and swap him for Hooper. Boyd would be a quality player in scot premiership and have a similar impact to Samaras. Hooper has banger goals in in Europe and the League so should be a hit in the English premiership. Hull City Fan. {Ed034's Note - well isn't that a nice way to treat him. he signs for you, plays 13 games, helps you to get into the prem scoring four goals and you then tell him to do one

Body's loan fee was seven figures

Think that you'll find that the Boyd fee was 1million

18 May 2013 15:22:54
Will Hughes of Derby was at the Liberty on Friday! I had a photo with him outside the club shop!

No you didnt

18 May 2013 18:20:36
Hes on holiday

18 May 2013 18:58:14
LOL no you didn't mate.

That's the funniest thing i've heard all week.

18 May 2013 15:16:53
Walsall's 2013-2014 football kit will be plain claret shirt white shorts with claret socks (a copy of the strip they played in 1888) no word on sponsor yet but the club may forgo a sponsor on their 125th anniversary kit. The club are also close to agreeing 1yr contracts with Will Griggs and Fabian Brandy.

Just heard the same, and that we are looking at a promising young keeper from Ireland!

Why would Grigg and Brandy sign a new 1 year contract when they can probably sign a 2-3 year contract elsewhere? Not going to happen, and I'm a Walsall fan! We've offered to double their wages (I presume on 2 yr deals), but it's apparently still not good enough.

I have been told that the contract is for 1yr so they are not tied down to the club long term and they can use the year to further promote themselves I. e. they will be in the shop window for a bigger clubs aka Aston Villa and Cardiff City

Mmmm think it may be claret shirts as a well known football kit site has changed their 1888 image from red and white stripes to claret shirts, I think it would be a nice touch

Kit is not going to be claret. I've seen the kit and its red with thin white stripes.

Red with thin white strips! That's the clubs 83-84 kit known as the Deeleys casting kit when we went on the milk cup run. We have Been there and done that! I have been told the club wanted to replicate the original kit which WAS claret

Where was this new kit seen

Check out the historic kit site, they have recently updated the 1888 kit from red and white strips to claret tops

18 May 2013 15:15:27
Bristol City will try and sign 23year old goalkeeper Marek tch from Yeovil in the summer; for a fee believed to be around the margine of £600,000. This is majorly delendent on Yeovil gaining or not gaining promotion as tch wants to be playing in the championship as soon as possible. -CH

18 May 2013 17:06:36
Why would he join city? From my understanding they will only sign freebies. Stech is available for around a million.

Freebies god talk some rubbish on here are chairmen has said even with cuts in player wages we will have one of the biggest budgets in the league so don't talk rubbish as you don't know what your on about at all

Yeah cause stech is really going to go back down a league as yeovil are in the championship enjoy league 1 bristol

I think we've al ready turned down more than that for him and tonight he was adamant he was staying at yeovil, plus me and a few of the yeovil players had a little city bashing and we all agreed city are sh*t

I am of the impression City have money to spend, they just have to offload some of their high earners.

I am sure the Chairman will find a couple of hundred thoasand quid for the right signings, espesially if we do end up selling people like Baldock, Davies, and Adamoah.

18 May 2013 14:57:32
Colchester United to try and sign Simon Ferry after he was released from Swindon earlier in the week. It is understood that Colchester want to add a bit more flare to the midfield after Wordsworth's departure to Ipswich in January.

19 May 2013 08:51:43
Simon ferry is set to sign for mk dons shame swindon couldn't keep him

Always saw him as a good player at Swindon. Could potentially get a Championship move but League One is possibly more realistic. Would quite like to see him at the U's but difficult as we've just signed Eastmond.

18 May 2013 14:49:19
wigan out of contract duo franco di santo and maynor figueroa are both set to join wba when thetre contract expires in the summer

18 May 2013 14:41:21
man utd will move for ross barkley this summer

No chance, Barkley is a big part of Everton's future.

They have always been a feeder club for man u, take there best players and send them there rejects

18 May 2013 14:39:39
Middlesbrough will offer Danny Simpson to stay in the north east, however it is likely that he will join Fulham or Wigan, who will offer him a more desirable wage.

Interesting

His girlfreind Tulisa leaves around Fulham and he would rather move there to see her more. However as a Fulham Fan I wouldn't want him as we have Riether and there are plenty more better options than him on the transfer market.

Jeremie aliadiere to return to middlesbrough after Mowbray has been out to watch him and wants a second chance in English football

Tulisa as a middlesbrough WAG. yes please

Aliadiere is performing very well for Lorient, has a contract until 2015 and has expressed a desire to stay in France. Plus he was linked with Newcastle so he wouldn't come to a Championship club, as much as I wouldn't mind the deal coming through.

As much as I hate to say it, We cannot afford aliadiere

It's easy to say he is going to Newcastle because they try and buy every French player on Earth.

Aliadiere was linked but he won't go to Newcastle. In actual fact he won't go to anyone in England as he is happy and performing well in France.

18 May 2013 14:36:34
Cardiff city have been rumoured to have offered £6 million + conway to Celtic for Gary Hooper!

As a celtic fan I would like gary hooper to stay but I think he wants to play in the premiership so if that's wright I would take that deal craig conway was a good player with d united and with 6m we can get another forward j russell would be a good buy and a centre haf and a left back as cover

18 May 2013 14:33:31
Hull city ins:
Kenwyne jones 6mil (stoke)
Austin 4mil (burnley)
Kasper schemicel 3mil (Leicester)
Whelan 2mil (stoke)
Oshaniwa 2-4mil (fc Basel)
Maloney 3mil (Wigan)
Powell loan (united)

18 May 2013 14:43:58
4 mil for Austin! what rumours have you been looking at, Burnley have said that its at least 8 but would be look for around 10 million mark

18 May 2013 15:04:11
can't see Jones and Whelan at the same club next season following recent events at Sjoke lol

18 May 2013 17:21:24
Austin is in his last year. There is no way Burnley will get £8m for him. £4m seems about right, if not a bit high. Jones from Stoke is more realistic than Whelan, given the Bruce connection at Sunderland. Once again, cannot believe he would go for £6m though

£4 million is the price that Austin is actually worth. Some of the inflated prices being thrown around are plain crazy and if the burnley board hold out for more then Charlie will be staying til next year AND GOING FOR FREE.

REALITY CHECK GUYS!

Jay Rodriguez had one year remaining and went for 7m and Austin is better so yes I'd say we want 8m and bigger clubs than Hull are interested

Yeah, we are definitely going to sign Jones and Whelan, they get on really well.

Jones will not be playing in the same team as Whelan next season following the recent event that caused an upset {Ed003's Note - they have aparently shook hands and forgot about it because it wasn't Whelan}

10m for Austin ha, ha, ha. Burnley fans get a grip. No premiership experience and only a couple of goals since crimbo! why would Cardiff spend nearly have there budget on him. If this is the price Hull can have him. Your looking at a couple of million at best. Oh well wait another year and get him for FREE!!!

Hull won't be spending 20m plus. They can't afford it. When you get in the premiership which is worth anything between 80 and 120m this is split over 4 years. You don't get that kind of money all at once. The owners have already put in 60-65m and want the club to be self sufficient i. e. don't spend more than comes in. Hull will spend big on a proven goal scorer and that will be that. Rest will be free or bargain basement signings. Bruce also has the knack of unearthing talent and getting the best out of players other clubs don't know how to play e. g. Elmo!

19 May 2013 13:41:58
Hull going to waste 20 million on them!
Great rumour

Maloney is worth about £6m, not £3m!

18 May 2013 14:26:59
Doncaster have let Gary Woods go on a free transfer he is wanted by Colchester

Who do people think we should go after to solve our goalkeeping situation? wes foderingham, owain fon Williams, scott flinders, joe murphy?

Doncaster to get kiren weswood from sunderland or murphey from coventry

Thank god for that. We need a top keeper for next season.

All of the above but flinders gets the edge

Youth keeper aaron busby was let go because donny said they were happy with the 3 keepers they had got obviously not, let a good keeper go, confused not the word

I wouldn't mind seeing foderingham

18 May 2013 14:26:03
Oxford are in advanced talks with several players I found out yesterday.
They're hopeful of signing,
LB Chris Hussey
CM's Darren Carter Tom Soares
and have shown CF Rene Howe around the facilities, but he's also talking to LG1 clubs.
The club have been turned down by a couple of players who Wilder wanted.
No truth at all in Matt Tubbs joining on loan!

Chris Hussey great attacking but poor defending. Beware!

18 May 2013 14:13:16
Diop has been visiting friends in Portsmouth whilst on route to Birmingham to collect belongings. Now retired and living in France.

The Wardrobe off to pick up his wardrobe. Lol

Good because he is a donkey

Good for him lol nothing to do with football is it lol

18 May 2013 13:08:12
Oxford to sign Marlon Harewood

Well, who else would want him?

18 May 2013 13:06:23
Afc Bournemouth are interested in free agent Sylvane Ebanks-Blake as competition for out of form Lewis Grabban.

He will go to championship club

18 May 2013 16:30:51
Is he a relative of Sylvan?
and to other reply to this post.
Afc Bournemouth ARE a Championship club.

Hope so.

Bournemouth are in the championship you tuna!

18 May 2013 18:36:52
Not that sure about Blake. High wages. Recovering from leg break & not a prolific goal scorer.

Not a prolific scorer? did you not see him last year? 15+ league goals for a relegated team is not a bad return!

21 May 2013 23:29:12
Take a look at his career total. Hot & cold. The broken leg will have caused no end of fitness problems. We need to sign players who are up to speed. Think we need a big lad with Pitman. Still think Demouge is good enough. Done well for FC Roda in Dutch top division.

18 May 2013 13:06:00
Stoke City to sign Assamoah Gyan from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli after he indicated that he would like to return to England.

Leave well alone!

Hope you are kidding, wot a mercenary person he is, he left SAFC in the mire, he will do it again.

Stoke won't be able to match the massive wages he'll be on in Saudi Arabia

Just because we don't always spend big doesn't mean we don't have money two years ago we spent around £25million.

Stoke have a very rigid wage cap system that doesn't match Gyan's current income.

18 May 2013 13:27:20
Stoke will look to sell Michael Kightly and Matthew Etherington this summer.
Yannick Bolasie and Charles N'Zogbia have been lined up as replacements

If Pulis stays he won't get rid of Kightly, he only signed him last season and he's far too stubborn for that.

Why moan at pulis for being stubborn abramovich won't sell torres

Hope Ethers and Kightly are both sold, neither are good enough. Wouldn't want Bolassie or N'Zogbia though. Would love Sinclair but it won't happen after our woeful second half of the season.

18 May 2013 13:24:53
Tony Pulis is set to leave Stoke with Martin O'Neil set to replace him

That would be stoke for relegation next season then lmao

O'Neill top class

Pulis is the only manager stoke would need

18 May 2013 13:24:15
Glenn Whelan is set to be placed on the transfer list after his disgraceful pig head prank went sour. Hull are Favourites to sign the Irish central midfielder for £2 million

Probably only banter

If your Irish or have played at either Wigan or Sunderland or under Bruce somewhere then you will definitely be linked with Hull. Need to look further afield, Bruce will sign quality players you won't have herd of at half the price. Watch this space!

18 May 2013 13:23:34
If Bradford win the play offs duke will come to southend

18 May 2013 13:21:31
Jon Walters is set to leave Stoke this summer transfer window with Celtic and Hull favourites to sign the Ireland International for £4 million

18 May 2013 12:45:56
Bristol City are interested in Coventry's John Fleck, a Left sided midfielder who can also oppirate in the center. At 21 he suits the youth policy. -CH

Hands off

Will cost you bucks the boy is good. Under contract and not for sale though. Nice try.

Apart from the fact Cov are in admin, why would Fleck leave for another League 1 club?

Yes but you see one cov not the players side is in admin meaning the players are not for sale as the money is needed in ltd players are in holdings this means that sisu are trying to spam the football league

He ain't leaving. Full stop.

18 May 2013 12:40:40
I was right when I informed you that Manny Smith was to join Notts County. He will now be linking up with Tranmere Rovers or Crawley Town after been told he can leave County

Can have him

Decent player, won't leave, will feature for definite next season!

18 May 2013 21:31:16
he said on twitter that he isn't leaving.

18 May 2013 12:38:31
Chris solly has expressed his desire to move north to middlesbrough this summer

Clearly he hasn't. He has several premier league teams looking at him and time left on his contract. So unless 'boro have a spare 3 million or so this isn't happening. The idea that anyone, "has a desire to move north to Middlesborough" is pretty funny.

Absolute nonsense, he wants to stay at Charlton but CAFC need money and Solly might be sold to West Ham

Solly indeed stated in an interview that he was looking to move to a club with a higher reputation, and has stated that Middlesbrough is the right club for him

He's out of contract so he won't be 'sold' to anyone mate

Just because premier league clubs have shown interest doesn't mean they are willing to sign him. Delusional charlton fans will be left in tears when he leaves for boro

18 May 2013 16:58:04
Solly is under contract until 2014 and is waiting for the club to put the promised contract extension on the table to extend his stay with the club.

Boro have put a 1m bid in for Hugo rodallega

Solly is a free agent this summer.
his contract ends this year

He's not at all under contract till 2014 he out this summer

He is out of contract 2013

18 May 2013 12:38:26
Mark Randall and Hird will be leaving.

18 May 2013 12:27:41
Cardiff midfielder Peter Whittingham is being linked with a move to Stoke.

No way, I would be so dissapointed if this happened, we need someone decent young fearless and quick, not an old slow cardiff player

NO! NO! NO!

18 May 2013 14:30:04
Haha please :) would be happy for him to leave the city, he lost his magic

Would be happy when he does leave as Cardiff fans have no idea how good this lad is

Quality player, but maybe a bit old now. Would have loved him 4 years ago, and very surprised no one snapped him up!

18 May 2013 12:26:55
Liverpool interested in Benfica duo which are both wingers, Gaitan and Salvio are both being heavily linked with the club and it is heard that Gaitan is interested in the move but Salvio may not as he recently moved to the club.

18 May 2013 12:24:27
Copa Del Rey champions Atletico Madrid are planning a move for Chelsea duo Thibaut Courtois and Oriol Romeu.
Along with these two possible signings they are also interested in signing Wolfsburg midfielder Diego Ribas who spent a year at the club last season on loan.

18 May 2013 12:09:46
Kenwyne Jones will definatly be leaving Stoke this summer after the incident with the Pig's head.

Swansea/Cardiff/Fulham are his more likely moves

I don't want him as a Fulham fan.

I heard west brom and hull were linked too

Nobody seems to want him and you can understand why. He won't go to Swansea as they are looking for more quality and better value players and I doubt whether Fulham would really be interested. Cardiff may be a possibility but do they really want him?

18 May 2013 14:31:23
Wouldn't want him at fulhma nor city, specially if he can't take banter like that!

And to be hoest, I don't want him a a stoke fan. I can see him going Cardiff

It's not 'banter' to him. He's muslim. It's disrespectful.

Hes Christian you fool lol. {Ed003's Note - He's Rastafarian}

Jones isn't a Muslim. He's a Christian

He's better than Hugo Rodallega but unnesscary if Hugo's still here.

No he's Jedi.

18 May 2013 12:02:21
Michael Laudrup has said he wants to strenghen in every department, but his main priority is a striker to keep the heat off Michu, Rumours are said to be Andreas Weimann from a very good source.

18 May 2013 11:59:08
Sunderland to sign Burnley duo Kieran Trippier & Charlie Austin. Burnley will replace them by signing Gonzalo Jara (WBA) & Kevin Davies (Bolton) both on free transfers

Jara may feature in first team west brom plans next season, been good for us at forest all season, and he's a chile international

18 May 2013 11:53:59
Gillingham left back Joe Martin will leave the club and sign for championship side Charlton Athletic

Mk dons also linked with martin but can they afford his wages

18 May 2013 11:50:56
Jamie Ward to Norwich from Derby for 2. 5 Mil

We are looking for quality now not quantity

Norwich have precious little money to spend after splashing out on RVW, expect two loan deals from the mls and maybe a free agent, atm it doesn't look good for next season, we may have a relegation battle on our hands

Are you a Villa fan or just a pessimist? to the fan above

W. Hughes instead please

Jamie Ward is a quallity player and on his day, he's one of the most threatening players in the Championship. Not sure if he's Premiership quality though as he can be very inconsistent and his hamstrings are pretty much made of glass. Either way, he won't be leaving Derby. He's our talisman.

There is loads of money! Cash to buy RVW came from last years budget and there is still some left! The club is debt free now so your comment is way off the mark.

Norwich have a good size transfer budget for improving the current squad, Rvw was last years money, do don't worry will be ok for transfers

We never spent this seasons budget we had about 20 mill this season only spent about 12 mill now we add the new seasons budget as we get double money from the prem this year and we don't owe any money no more so all the money is for us.

We have plenty more money then just the RVW fee. People need to at least do SOME research before spouting such nonsense!

Made me lol ch has another 18m + the kitty from outgoing players

Rvw was bought out of this years budget. With the club free of any external debt for the start of the season, there is the largest transfer kitty available that ncfc have ever enjoyed
Lovely old job
I don't know where the idea of norwich having precious little to spend has come from

Mcnally said after we signed van Wolfswinkel that it hadn't seriously dented or transfer budget for next year. So we should be okay, we also didn't spend that much this season so, given it was meant to be the largest budget in the club's history there should be a healthy transfer budget remaining for next year.

On the contrary, it looks very good indeed for next season: a brand new, much-envied new striker, a greatly increased pot of TV money and almost no external debt at all, meaning we have the capacity to add some genuine quality. At least half of the other teams in the Premiership would want to be in our situation.

Van wolfswinkel came out of our january budget. we still have our full summer budget which has increased by 10m from last season (30m for the summer now. )
thanks though

Delia has stated and I can post a link to the video that lambert had 22.5mill to spend at norwich when he left so that budget transfered to Hughton, rvw was bought with the money left from jan! Next season with an extra 68 mill in incomings due to the new tv deal will mean norwich will have 30-40mill to spend depending on if the club choose to upgrade the capacity. So we still have at least 25 most likely 35 to spend in the summer so expect some more big money moves, maybe another striker at around 5-6mill and a couple of midfielders at 7-8mill each maybe one or two loans and another cb plus lb cover plus whatever we make in sales of Vaughn (3. 5-4mill possibly) etc etc #justsaying

Not sure if I read the last post right but you won't be getting any more than 1m for Vaughan. Sorry to break it to you.

You're right about that, I think he means Vaughan and all our other players set to leave. Still a tad optimistic but a lot need to be sold

Yeh I meant Vaughn plus others. Vaughn around 1-1.5mill, Jackson 500-750k, teirney 300-400k, fox 250-300k, Ayala? 700k maybe, e. Bennett 1mill maybe, becchio 1mill maybe, smith 400k maybe etc etc. the beauty we don't need to sell anyone to have a very healthy transfer budget in the summer

We won't sell Becchio mate. Holt maybe.

why would we keep Becchio and sell Holty? Makes no sense

Ward to norwich £2.5 million. ? Take it take it, injury prone hamstring rules him out half a season every year! A bit too selfish, likes to dribble but not much end product for an attacking winger even though he scored in an average Derby side.

18 May 2013 11:43:41
Derby County will turn to Sylvan Ebans-Blake if they cannot get James Vaughan.

The only potential prevention of this deal taking place is that he is injured.

E banks Blake has already agreed to sign for middlesbrough stop making fake rumours up

Ebans Blake has not agreed to join Middlesbrough

Is true, Ebanks Blake has been rumoured

18 May 2013 11:42:05
West brom to get 2 of these 4 strikers, matias Suarez, Bony, Mbokani or Di santo. Also interested in Shaun Maloney, also expect some players we have never heard of coming to the club like the yacob and mulumbu deals.

Suarez and mbokani would be ideal, bony I think will join chelsea

18 May 2013 11:27:29
Scott Wagstaff is set to sign a two year contract with leyton orient next week

The strong rumour is Holmes, but wouldn't be surprised to see Waggie back. both are natural wingers.
Either of them would do a good job.

With Brentford missing out on Promotion, expect a lot of activity at Grffin Park during the summer, with a host of Championship Clubs chasing Clayton Donaldson. Millwall look favourites for his signature.
Dave Mooney ( Orient ) could also be a target for Brentford.

18 May 2013 11:24:49
Roberto di Matteo is 10/11 with the bookies to be Stoke's next manager, even though Tony Pulis is planning for next season and beyond with the club

Martin O'Neil Is favourite

He favourite for Brighton when poyet leaves

Harry rednapp

All managers named are poor. Sideways step from Pulis.

18 May 2013 11:17:43
Ipswich to sign Lee Camp

Not once he turned us down in January 4 the our rivals he won't be

18 May 2013 11:12:29
Huddersfield trying to raid Peterborough with the signings of Tomlin and Mendez Laing also interests in duo Stephen Hunt (Wolves) and Stephen McPhail (Cardiff).

Possibility of Jon Stead and James Vaughan for partnership up front!

Give up with Jon Stead! i'd rather play with 10 men than have him in the pitch!

18 May 2013 16:37:42
John stead no thanks.

Stead and GTF please stop posting these silly rumours, neither have a snowballs chance in hell of landing a contract with the terriers.

Stead. your having a laugh.

Mendez laing look an exiting player when he played at the john smiths. would be happy to sign him.

18 May 2013 11:12:29
Dennis wise is reportedly interested in a return to the millwall job.

Want wisey back

18 May 2013 11:11:47
The millwall board will this weekend be drawing up there list of candidates they want to talk to for the managers job names that will be on list are:
Alex McLeish
Dennis Wise
Uwe Rosler
Markus Babbel
Steve Lomas
Gary Johnson
Aidy Boothroyd
Owen Coyle
Neil Warnock

I think Roberto Di Matteo would be a good shout too. ? Whether he'd want to drop to Championship level having just left Chelsea, who knows? He's London based etc.

Yh I agree with this. Owen coyle would be great.

I don't see Warnock, McLeish, Wise or Bircham as serious contenders. Rosler or Johnson look like good fits.

All I hope is we get a manager who likes the ball on the floor. my neck needs time to recover from the last two seasons. block28

What about Dennis Wise!

18 May 2013 10:12:03
It LooKs Like Robet Huth will leave Stoke For 10 million. Stoke will try to bring in Phil Jagileka and Marko Marin after he expressed the role he was prommised at chelsea is not being given and he wants to leave with those 2. stoke will also want a season loan for man. you LB, Fabio after Cleverly deal seems to being falling

18 May 2013 10:11:28
Ipswich are set to lose out on targets Nakhi wells and jacques mathematically after both were seen at middlesbrough's training ground to discuss terms

Both players will be good signings for boro

How do you lose out on someone mathamatically. That doesn't make sense.

Doubt Wells would of already been to Middlesbrough ahead of today's playoff final.

Jacques maghoma I think you mean.

Good players in league two, open minded about them both

Yer Nakhi wells has been spotted at the ground? he's been at bradford training, playing and scoring in the playoff final. Although hope this is true.

Well there isn't really anyone at rockliffe at the moment, most are on holiday so I don't know why wells would be coming over if the manager is of on holiday abroad

Nakhi Wells will not be joining Boro or Ipswich as he has confirmed that intends to stay at Bradford next season after winning promotion.

Wells has already said he wants to stay with Bradford in leauge 1 because its only early in his career

It is common knowledge Middlesbrough will look to raid the lower leagues and look to profit from the free transfer market.

Jacques Maghoma is a target but others are vying for his signature, Solly is top of the wish list to fill the void at right back, Southends Sean Clohessy is also an option.
Luke Murphy from Crewe is hoped would add a goalscoring threat from midfield also and there is also a keen eye being kept on Jennison Myrie-Williams.

Not to say these are all guaranteed signings but all on a long wish list Tony Mowbray and his team have drawn up.

Middlesborough fans make up a lot. I think they are a bit overexcited for next's years relegation battle.

18 May 2013 10:08:45
Huddersfield Town are interested in ex-Cardiff City central midfielder Stephen McPhail

He wanted 8k a week, town prepared to pay 4k a week. Anyone think he's worth more than that have not been home and away, and cringed when he is through one on one

18 May 2013 09:47:11
Jol has said he is not leaving Fulham and with the substantial funds that he has asked for from Al-Fayed will be given to him so he can totally overhaul the squad and lower the average team age while bringing in some class players.

I agree.

18 May 2013 10:49:48
Burnley are interested in Bristol City forward Sam Baldock

Wages would be a big problem, plus around 1 million fee

750,000 will clinch the deal

City will be keen to sell, but I don't think he will come cheap as I don't think he is someone we are desperate to offload.

18 May 2013 10:25:52
Cardiff City are set to enquire a price for Lyon's Bafetimbi Gomis.
City are also interested in John Brayford from Derby County and Steven Caulker (former jack!) from Tottenham Hotspur.
There maybe a loan deal from Malky's contacts including Manchester Utd's Nick Powell and Liverpool's Suso.

18 May 2013 10:25:12
Scott Flinders and Jean-Yvez M'Voto are going to be announced as our first pair of signings a couple of days before the release of the season ticket sales to prove to the fans that the club still mean business and to try and get more season ticket sales

And the team is?????????

I assume its Bristol City you are talking about

Signing for who??

What team you on about

Which club?

Mvoto will re-sign for Oldham but he's in France at the moment and as for Flinders we have Cisak so he wouldn't want to be number 2 goalie.

Folk keep making rumours up that Mvoto and even Croft are going yet both are in negotiations with Oldham.

really do nee to put the truth on here rather than lies.

18 May 2013 10:20:13
Chris solly will join Middlesbrough this summer, with nicky bailey going the other way

Bailey already gone

What nonsense, if Solly goes anywhere it will be to The Prem. why leave Charlton for Mid'boro, hardly a step up!

Because charlton will always be at most a championship team, whilst Middlesbrough have and will be back playing in Europe in a few years time

"Middlesbrough have and will be back playing in Europe in a few years time"

I wish I could have your optimism

18 May 2013 10:17:25
FC Honka's experienced Estonian centre back, Herm Anmoonsta will sign a pre-contract deal with Kilmarnock within the next 48hours. It is rumoured to be a three and a half year deal.

18 May 2013 09:28:51
Swansea close to signing lukaku on loan and aspas on a perminent

He won't be going anywhere until the new manager is in place and even then he is being linked with a move to Southampton in a player cash deal for Luke Shaw.

He wants European experience. Otherwise he might as well go back to West Brom.

Yes maybe but he wants to play in euro cup you ant in euro cup

18 May 2013 09:28:31
Scott Davies signs a one year contract at Oxford United, and has been quoted on twitter stating that he hopes for a 'successful season'

18 May 2013 08:49:39
Charlie Sheringham will meet with Guy Whittingham next week to try and strike a deal with him to Join Portsmouth, also Liam Walker is to have talks about a return to Fratton Park.

We don't need another striker like him already got agyemang, craddock Harris and will be signing akinfenwa

Akinfenwa don't think so but I hope it is true pup

What happened to connolly

^^ Not signed yet but having DC would be massive i'm sure he will sign, and Ertl. PUP

^^yes I think they would be vital if we got DC and ertl then I think we will be in with a shout of promotion

We already are a promotion team get with it

^^ Yeah got a decent lot of players still need a few more, if DC and Ertl sign that be massive, a couple of wingers aswell.

18 May 2013 08:35:27
Nicola Cortese is staying as chairman after Katharina Liebherr agreed to back his ambitious plans for Southampton Fc exciting times ahead as saints push on for top half prem finish and possibly European football coyr

19 May 2013 11:45:35
We are at the moment 17 points further than when Adkins was replaced. what was the point. The present manager and even some players butter up to cortese to keep in favor. I don't blame the owners for not throwing money at the club. It would only take for sky to move its money elsewhere which will happen. Football needs to get back to reality most people watching football at games are over fifty years of age, I'm one.

You have no idea how passionate children in schools are about football, they just can't get to games as much because they aren't as well off at people in their 50's. Most are saving up because they are scared of University fees and aren't buying football tickets until they are sure they can afford them. But the passion is definitely there I have conversations with my classes regularly.

Thats the point the real fans are being priced out of football, unless mum and dad are well off kids don't go.

You ungrateful old git. We were bottom of L1 with minus 10 points when Cortese took the helm. I'm also over 50 and have NEVER felt more positive about our future.

When I went to a preseason friendly (2012 August) sitting in the kings land me and the people I was with were told to be quiet by a group of oldies as we were talking. About the game. They also call puncheon Clyne and mayuka guly.

A lot of them don't have a clue and are all plastics that have just turned up for the prem matches is what I'm getting at, sounds like the guy at the top is a newbie.

20 May 2013 10:55:55
After Sunday's game against stoke can anyone see saints in the to six, I'm realistic and just hope we can keep in the top league as I've said before many fans are dreamers most likely the ones who turn on the players and manager when things go wrong. Great to see the saints support for Michael Owen.

Your so right now saints are back in the prem league it's like new faces in the crowd but I would say most fans have good knowledge regarding players. Still cannot understand why people swear at opposition players and fans they are persons.

18 May 2013 08:26:59
fellaini definitely leaving everton, moyes will look to bring him to man united but chelsea are also interested

18 May 2013 14:01:07
Fella might leave Everton but the same can be said for any player at any club. can't see him going to united though maybe Chelsea.

18 May 2013 08:25:22
I am in my hotel in spain and just seen sean o driscoll walking through reception with plymouths onismor bhasera. He is now a free agent. Hopefully he may be signing for us. Quality player :-) {Ed034's Note - well your IP address suggests you are in Derby....hmmmm

O'Driscoll was recently in spain but I don't see why bhasera would be with him. However would be a decent signing for us!

Owned well played ed

Also funny thing is, Bhasera is in Zimbabwe not Spain,

Nice one Ed!

Good comment, Ed :-)

Haha. What a fool

Busted

Cracking effort Ed!

18 May 2013 08:24:41
Landon Donovan to return to everton on season long loan

18 May 2013 08:18:24
arsenal have formally inquired about seydou doumbia

18 May 2013 08:17:43
neymar close to agreeing terms with real madrid as man united push for a deal to bring back ronaldo

Chelsea's closer to ronaldo now

18 May 2013 07:31:10
Shrewsbury will sign the follwing players
Mark Duffy
Matt Done
Matt Sparrow
Danny Hylton
Liam Boyce
Steven Schumacher
Yado Mambo

When? .

Would be happy with all of them bar Hylton, arrogant bloke who gave the V sign to town fans after he scored at the meadow 18 months ago, he can score a few goals but horrible man

18 May 2013 12:25:35
This Summer

Danny Hylton? NO THANK YOU. Nowhere good enough for league 2 let alone league 1.

Yh all would be great but I do agree that Hylton is arrogant and we wouldn't want him.

Think every team wants the bury player but soz to tell you he will b staying at bury

18 May 2013 07:02:12
Goalkeeper Ian McLaughlin is set to turn down an offer of a new contract at MK because he doesn't want to sit on the bench and is in talks with Walsall where he was on loan

He's a good goalie he is. I'd love us to sign him, but I can't see it happening unless he really isn't going to get first team football next season.

He'll definitely get first team football at Walsall!

18 May 2013 05:57:03
Ipswich set to sign watfords mark yeates

Good, they can have him. Not enough quality for Prem or for promotion push next season if we don't win play-off final.

Good-o.

Why do they always sign our flops?

I don't know why so many people hate Yeates, whenever he plays he plays well.

He'll be a great bench warmer if he's lucky

Bit unfair on yeates. He's a willing and sometimes very good player. Not sure about ability in the prem, but fine for championship.

Yeates would a good signing for most championship sides as Zola has transformed him from a slow winger into tidy central midfielder with good set piece delivery, wouldn't be surprised if Zola gave him a one year deal as cover if we fail to beat palace but I suspect yeates will want more regular starts. He just needs to stop overplaying it on occasions

Not Premier League quality, but when called upon this season he has been very good. Not many have realised he is our third top goalscorer that isn't on loan

"Good set piece delivery"?

This is the Mark Yeates who plays for Watford we are talking about?

18 May 2013 02:36:57
Derby will talk to Waghorn early next month, when he is back off holiday. Aidy White will hold talks this week after demanding a move from Leeds.

The club expect Baptiste to sign, along with Bryson and Brayford. (nothing done yet)

Vaughan has been given up on.

No talks with waghorn at all, white not demanding move and baptiste in talks with Palace and Ipswich, brayford not signing new deal but agent talking to prem clubs (Norwich and swans, not stoke or cardiff!).

no offer made for vaughan yet and bryson in talks.

at least one out of six rumours is right!

Aidy White, if he came to derby would be used more as a winger as Craig Forsyth is already a done deal.

Just waiting for watfords playoff game to end.

Brayford will not sign until close to pre season, so ages away.

Bryson will be done in the next week.

Baptiste will not be done anytime soon way too much competition weighing up the options.

Vaughan will not be given up on lightly however I do not know anything about this deal so cannot say.

Waghorn should sign Clough has been after him for years.

White will not be leaving leeds

My lord I hope Aidy White leaves absolute waster hasn't improved since he was 16

18 May 2013 02:17:17
Aberdeen interested in Coventry player Richard Woods for free a centre half 27

18 May 2013 00:48:23
Few Walsall rumours
All currently free agents
Francis McCaffrey (Hull) midfielder
Jack Deaman (Birmingham) defender
Shane Fagan (Coventry) goalkeeper
Eric Odhiambo (Denizlispor, former Inverness) striker

Out
Febian Brandy is wanted by Peterborough and Barnsley

Wanted by Peterborough haha no thanks

Febian brandy is class and I would want him to stay with walsall

Flicker would not signed a contract if he was not getting the budget he wanted, that's a fact, he will probably get the money from the sales of any players and around 3m to spend. the board know they have the right man in charge and will back him.

18 May 2013 01:24:21
The right back Rotherham are close to signing is Mustapha Dumbuya from Crawley Town.

Would be a backward step for Muzzy!

Muzzy is in Canada at moment and is still considering his options, there is still a chance he will sign a new deal with Crawley

Evans did say he was waiting for the defender to come back off holiday

Good signing for Scunthorpe, he's the kind of target man we need for league 2. Get a good finisher off him such as Hearn from grimsby or Morgan from Wycombe and we could have a good season.

18 May 2013 20:33:28
No, he's on trial at Vancouver whitecaps according to twitter.

Muzzy should be looking for Championship/Lg 1 fighting for promotion, not with Evans and trying to stay up.

We are fighting for promotion

19 May 2013 23:15:18
Why would muzzy go to rotherham when he could stay with crawley and go up rotherham are probs gunna go back down. Also there is a mls club intrested in signing him

20 May 2013 10:30:04
Vancouver white caps look set to sign him. Go on net and check it out muzzy wants to move to the mls

We ARE fighting fro promotion

21 May 2013 15:16:34
He should stay with crawley who look to be going up this season not going backwards to rotherham who haven't got the players to stay in league 1 its a much better faster league rotherham won't last

18 May 2013 00:14:42
Ryan Lowe is reportedly set to leave Mk Dons and sign for newly promoted Port Vale rather than Tranmere or Oldham.

At 34 they can have him, he exceeded expectations last year, we should offload him now.

Don;t want him at Oldham either, he'snot prolific enough, plus we have just signed a striker from Posh.

17 May 2013 23:23:45
Tom Heaton has officially signed for the Clarets today from Bristol City on a free transfer.

Burnley are also looking into the availability of Nahki Wells and also Harlee Dean. Both transfers should be concluded after the League 1 and 2 Play-Off finals. Harlee Dean may stay at Brentford if they achieve promotion to the Championship.

Charlie Austin is expected to stay with Burnley as the club don't have any reason to sell the leading scorer. {Ed003's Note - They will though

Yeah I can see Austin leaving in January if he has mother good start. I would be happy with Harlee Dean, not sure if Wells is ready for the jump up.

The two players Dyche is desperate to land are Nick Powell at Manchester United and Jack Robinson at Liverpool.

Powell to replace outgoing Mccann and Robinson to replace Mills who is heading back to Reading.

Burnley will Sell if any offer £7 million comes in. With both Sunderland and Hull already in contact we could see him leave in the next two weeks.

20+ goal and goals vs arsenal and villa- I think wells could definitely make it in the champ. If the clarets don't go for well maybe the should go for will Griggs?

Wells isn't good enough to play at championship level.

What's his mother got to do with it?

Im a burnley fan and I think wells would be good in the championship. Might take a bit of time to find his feet but I personally think he would be a good signing for any championship team

Owls fan here good luck brentford.

Dean signing new 2 year contract today for brentford!

17 May 2013 23:06:54
Maloney and Boyce were with Steve Bruce back in his Wigan Athletic days and is keen to be reunited with them.

Leicester City shot stopper Kasper Schmeicel, son of Peter, has stated a clear desire to be a Premier League number one. Hull City are low on goalkeeping options and having a few Seasons with infrequent number ones and loanees, are desperate to have a regular number one.

West Bromich Albion are keen to offload the notorious want-away forward Peter Odemwingie with Hull City prime candidates to sign the Nigerian International. WBA boss Steve Clarke has said he will not be allowed to leave for anything less than his market price of £3million declaring WBA as "not a charity".

USA International Jozy Alitdore has been linked for a return to former Club Hull City in which he spent a Season on loan back in 2009/10. He has been in prolific form scoring 38 goals for Dutch Club Alkmaar Zaanstreek (AZ). He is apparently keen to return for another try at England's top tier.

Maloney signed for wigan almost 3 years after bruce left. hmmm

Maloney was signed by Martinez not Bruce. He might still leave us though.

18 May 2013 12:18:18
Maloney was signed by Martinez! Says a lot for the rest of the information then. lol

20 May 2013 11:57:08
I will happily drive Odemwingher to Hull or any another club not that he needs any help with driving ;)
