Just been watching a show here in Norway called Showman. Morten Gamst Pedersen was just interviewed. Roughly translated he said that at 29 years old his next contract will be the most important of his career and would like to play in the Champions League. Galatasary were mentioned in passing.

18 May 2010 22:35:50
Fabregas update !
arsene wenger is talking to the barca chair man and supposedly they will not continue the deal due to arsene's rediculous demands. apparently wenger is asking for bojan+ iniesta and 20mil or messi for fabregas and arshavin and clichy lol. that's one way to barge barca of from signing your players. but seriously tough wenger won't keep a player that does not want to play for him and he won't let him go for cheap he will put him on the market in the summer and let all the teams go on a bidding war and make about 70mil from him unless barca accept his insane demands lol.

I am not claiming to have a source but all things point to Mark Hughes becoming Celtic manager.

1.Steven Reid a player Hughes has worked with and knows what he is capable of.

2.Hughes was at first favourite to get West Ham job but not on their shortlist does their chairman know something we don't.

Think of this:
1. Mark McGhee has worked with Steven Reid and knows what he is capable of.

2. Mark McGhee is Celtic minded and is desperate for the job!

Lennon will be the next manager

Inter Milan have contacted Rafael Benitez over the prospect of being installed as Jose Mourinho's successor.

The Serie A champions have approached the Liverpool manager, with Mourinho expected to depart for Real Madrid following Inter's Champions League final, coincidentally at the Bernabeu Stadium, on Saturday night.

18 May 2010 22:10:45
Arsenal WILL NOT sign buffon. Accorfing to his agent, he has no intention of leaving italy.

Fabregas MAY go. Everyones believing this story how hes going to barce next season, but you lot need to remember that this fabregas–barce story has been hot for a while now. If he doesn't go, don't be suprised, its the media. Untill he says so himself, assume he'll still be here. Although theres still a chance he might go.
If he does go don't expect ibra to come part of the deal, he only came to barce last season and will stay. Yaya would probably be part of it with cash min 20mil.

Arshavin WILL NOT go, he said so himself that the arsenal fans will see the best of him next season.
Only thing Wenger will be looking for is a experienced GK, CB, And CF.

New Signing –
– CF– Chamakh – his contract with Bordeaux expires June, so everything should be finalised by then and he should sign.
– GK – Wenger hasnt said anything about his goalkeeping options and is keeping a tight lip. Either he keeps what he has ( big mistake ) or already has an ideal individual but doesn't want it to be a public thing at the moment as he doesn't want a bidding war.
– CB – If Gallas leaves, Wenger said he'll sign a defender. Right now, it's not in the clear if he does, but regardless it'll definitely be a player with experience, as that's what lacked arsenal this season.

People need to stop writing rubbish on this site, becuase when the next season comes, you know half of the poeple you mentioned arent coming. Giving people fale hope for no reason.

18 May 2010 22:12:01
These are only my thoughts on Arsenal from what I've seen online, on tv and in newspapers, I don't have reliable sources like so many on here.

Fabregas will talk with Wenger, who will try to persuade him to stay, bit like he did with henry one more season and if we don't win anything then you can go, however if offer is good enough will be forced to let him go. Fabregas did WIN and FA cup in 2005 so he has won silverware with arsenal.

He will attempt to sign a keeper I've heard Hart and Buffon alot Buffon more and more following Juventus failing to meet his requirments and general unhappyness, but Hugo Lloris also looks like a likely candidate as Wenger has more power in France.

Defender wise, I think Sakho, young but very talented just like Wenger likes them, Jagielka has been mentioned alot recently or Hangeland been linked with arsenal for a while.

Midfield– Yaya toure is being mentioned alot however, I doubt that Barca will sell him to arsenal unless they get Fabregas. Hazzard could be a possibility.

Out
Gallas
Senderos
Eduardo
Almunia
Fabianski
Merida
Rosicky(Maybe)

And Arshavin in Jan or next year if he doesn't stop comming out with statments that annoy Wenger.

Gooner for life and hoping Henry's move to MLS could see a Beckham like loan to Arsenal in the off season and Fab at arsenal next season

Rafa Benitez is keen on Manchester City's Steven Ireland and Chelsea's Joe Cole, reports had surfaced that Liverpool could not meet Cole's wage demands, however with Tottenham also baulking at Cole's demands and his current club Chelsea not prepared to pay Cole what he wants the player now has to lower his financial demands.

The only problem for Liverpool is that Cole wants Champions League football something that Liverpool can no longer offer, that however is seen as a mild stumbling block and while Spurs remain favourites to end up with Cole, he could still end up at Anfield now that Benitez's future is sorted and the almost certainty that Torres and Gerrard will remain Liverpool players.

Stephen Ireland wants out of Manchester City desperately, he is unhappy there and Liverpool have been linked with the player on a regular basis, City are prepared to listen to offers for Ireland who has accepted that he will not figure in Roberto Mancini's plans next season and again Benitez will face stiff competition from Harry Redknapp's Tottenham.

The advantage this time for Liverpool though is that Ireland wants to remain in the North of England and that has put Liverpool in the driving seat but and it is a big but, Man Utd are also said to be interested in the Man City midfielder and a move from Sir Alex Ferguson is seen as a bigger obstacle than a bid from Tottenham.

It at least appears that things are starting to settle down at Anfield, he club is now looking forward with a more positive outlook and the doom merchants that were writing off both Rafa Benitez and Liverpool may find that they have jumped the gun somewhat.

18 May 2010 21:52:22
I believe next season is the season that makes or breaks Arsenals history. It could all go totally right or totally wrong.
If Fabregas leaves and we bring in two midfielders preferrably Gourcuff and Yaya I think we should come second and if not we may come 4th.
Also if Arsene dos not bring in a decent goalkeeper like Buffon then we will struggle

In Arsene we Trust!!

Sir David Murray will not allow Andrew Ellis to use Ibrox and the land around it for anything other than football.

This is holding up talks, and also Murray wants to sound out other potential investors. These include Mark Murphy (CEO of the Green Bay Packers) and Dato' Shamsul Azhar Abbas who is the President of Petronas and a good friend of Cardiff's investor Dato' Tan Chien Ghee.

18 May 2010 21:16:01
I am a different LFC fan to the one who upset some Spurs fans by saying they won't qualify for CL guess what you won't ha ha. One season of over achieving and they think they are gonna win everything and sign everyone and then laugh at real clubs like LFC, worst than Chelsea and Citeh fans going round buying a history.
Anyway, I said about the news breaking in April about LFC back in December, but with all the excitement did not mention the bad news. My source said then Masch wants out and he has now gone public. At the time the source said Gerrard and Torres where 100% behind the reds but at least one of them seems to be getting itchy feet now. If we end up having to sell the three it would be a bugger but we are LFC and have lost greater players it is the sign of a great club. But my red friends why, when we are obviously on the verge of being bought out would any player want to leave? I think the press are being mischievous here. Masch may go, Gerrard may fancy a change but all three going does not make any sense even to dillusional Spurs, Citeh and Buyski sorry Chelski fans. Watch a younger reds team excel next season and beware imitators.

Liverpool to be sold by early July at the latest, Broughton is now working an extra day a week (4 days) and Purslow is putting in extra hours, Gillett & Hicks are not involved with anything, it is Purslow and Broughton. The reports of 800 million are a load of bull, the real sum is 420 million, but the owners must keep the debt on the down, and build a new stadium.
Now on the field:
Rafa Benitez will go. Everyone has said he will stay but.. Both the Internazionale and AC Milan jobs are available and Rafa is interested in the Inter one, (that is what he was holding out for, so Juventus would leave him alone).
He will be replaced by Jose or Martin O'neill (who is set for more showdown talks with Randy Lerner)
Before you all come back snapping at me, how much would Jose's reputation go up if he got Liverpool back on winning ways ?

Darren Ferguson and David Unsworth met up with Zheng Zhi today in St.Annes for the second day!
Zheng Zhi travelled down from Celtic and is spending 2 days staying in the Grand Hotel in St.Annes. On Monday he was shown around the ground and stadium and today they were out for lunch with his agent discussing the terms off his contract! The deal shold be finalised by the end of the week>

18 May 2010 21:27:41
Masch deal is almost done 25 million is amount wit 20 up front and another 5 on bonuses and appearences. Liverpool have tied up a deal for Banega to replace him and he will come in for around 8.5million. The deal is done and will be announced the day after the Masch deal. Also with regards to the people going on about Torres leaving..even if he does he won't go to an English team and his replacement will def be somone better than Carlton Cole.no disrespect to him. If he does leave which is not likely he will be replaced by somone like Higuain or Aguero, Villa with an outside chance. Liverpool closing in on Jarvis from Wolves as part of their young english players initaitive.

Also a big, big signing being lined up but a lockdown in operation with only Ferguson, Gill and Glazers in the know. {Editor's note – I thought Benzema didn't make it into France's team?}

He didn't but is apparently going to support Les Bleus. The big name lock down is Ribery and the gamble is that Hernandez will provide striking support to Rooney

BTW, I forgot to add that the Qatari's will get the club within the next 2/3 weeks before the world cup.

Also Hicks N Gillet have not been in charge of the club for months. Purslow has been running it. Hicks n Gillet have been forced into this sale. Ignore all the rubbish of 800m.they will sell for 450m. Broughton only works one day a week. He is just crossing the t's, dotting the i's. Why would such a big hitter put his rep on the line getting involved with the two American dimwits? Answer, he hasnt. The bank have put him there to split the veto and ensure the deal goes through quickly. Weeks ago, fat Tom's plane was at Luton and all three of his sports clubs badges have been removed from his plane. All three teams are up fror sale. So a message to all LFC fans. Changes are coming for the best.

Graham Hunter on Revista said a potential problem in Real's pursuit of Mourinho is that are consortium are trying to buy us and replace Rafa with him.

Also Terry Gibson says there is a consortium close to buying LFC.

James007..The Qatari's you seem so sure about are the ones. Worth 62bn. However, they do not want Rafa. Which is a good thing. Also Jose was quoted as saying the press couldnt be further from the truth about him been close to going to REAL MADRID. Jose also said that there was a club who needs new owners, clear the debt and make transfer funds available and who would not be in Champ league nxt season that he would be interested in joining.that was also said to Graham Hunter.

MUFC:

Owen not going just changing squad/shirt number. The No7 Shirt has been promised to James Milner. His club Audi car has been ordered for 1st August as has Luka Modric's who is part of a swop deal with Carrick going to spurs and also loan of Wellbeck.

Benzema wanted but not sure if he fancies England as a home. Evra given task of persuasion during world cup. If that fails United will stick with Rooney and use Hernandez/Macheda as his partner up front. Berbatov being given till January transfer window to prove himself.

Also a big, big signing being lined up but a lockdown in operation with only Ferguson, Gill and Glazers in the know. {Editor's note – I thought Benzema didn't make it into France's team?}

Yesterday I passed on information about Spurs signing Arda Turan. The latest updates from a "ITK" regarding quotes from a Turkish insider are:

Liverpool have first refusal, and is Arda's first choice, but don't have the funds.
Arsenal also an option.
Fee agreed with Spurs, 9m euros plus Dos Santos.
Dos Santos not 100% keen on the idea.
Redknapp flying to USA on the 19th to finalise, although nothing is signed.

To add to that, he has had a falling out with a portion of the Gala fans and has hinted at a move. Also, Sergen Yalçin, a retired player and a football pundit has said he is moving to Spurs (on a TV show). Plus all the Turkish media going on about it, leads me to think there may be more to this one than rumours.

18 May 2010 19:30:31
Spurs to sign sidney Govou .i know this because west ham are interested in the player also and spurs always go after west hams targets apparently they met him at the airport and said as long as he passed the west ham medical he was ok to sign..

Surman to make a move back to st marys as he only left because of financial reasons

18 May 2010 18:54:37
Danielle De Rossi(spl.) to Liverpool is an absolute no no. He's rated far more than the 20 million being quoted here . Man city just got a bid rejected for him for around 45 million euros !! Also Madrid are reportedly interested in him and are planning a 60 million euro bid. Sounds ridiculous for a player i've never even heard about. But who knows , maybe he is an amazing player. He's also reportedly not ready to leave his boyhood club AS ROMA . So the odds of him joining LFC are very slim . Although i'd love for that to happen

SAHIL LFC

Liverpool look like they might have basically a whole new team from the start of 2009/2010 to the start of 2010/2011 with Dossena/Voronin/Aurelio/Riera/Cavalieri/Martin/Threlfall definatley gone and Babel/Degen/Benayoun/Lucas/ Mascherano/Krygiakos/Skrtel/Itandje/San Jose/Nemeth/Plessis and El Zhar all looking likely to leave lets have a look at some of the potential replacements for key players GK–Cavalieri, Martin and Itandje out Hennessey in LB–Aurelio and Dossena out Kolarov in CB–Skrtel or Krygiakos out Cahill in RB–Degen out no one in{Kelly–Darby–Carragher cover} CDM–Mascherano out De Rossi in CM–Lucas out Banega in CAM–Benayoun out–Van Der Vaart in LW–Riera out N'Zogbia in either wing–Babel out Navas in CF–Voronin out Jovanovic in and Striker no one out and finally replace Keane with C.Cole, all in all it might not be that bad I would hate to see the likes of Mascherano, Benayoun and Skrtel leave because I rate them very highly but with the money we could get for Masch{maybe up to £40million} and if they don't want to play for the club which his recent comments suggest then fair enough, it will be easier to replace Mascherano than it would Gerrard or Torres who clearly want to play for the club and have both stated on numerous occasions there love and passion for the club .If all these changes happen I would expect the squad to look like this–GK–Reina–Hennessey–Bouzanis–Hansen–DF–Johnson–Darby–Kelly–Carragher–Skrtel–Robinson–Wilson–Ayala–Cahill–Agger–Insua–Kolarov–MF–Navas–Rodriguez–Aquilani–Banega–Gerrard–De Rossi–Banega–Spearing–Shelvey–Van der Vaart–N'Zogbia–ST–Torres–Kuyt–C.Cole–Jovanovic–Pacheco–N'gog–Dalle Valle that doesn't look to bad compared with last year–GK–Reina–Cavalieri–Itandje–Martin–DF–Johnson–Darby–Kelly–Carrgher–Ayala–San Jose–Skrtel–Agger–Krygiakos–Aurelio–Dossena–Insua–MF–El Zhar–Benayoun–Gerrard–Aquilani–Mascherano–Lucas–Spearing–Riera–Babel–ST–Torres–Kuyt–Voronin–N'gog–Pacheco, so as i said i would prefer a few of these players in and Macherano and Benayoun to stay but if this does happen maybe it will be good for the club anyway something has to change and if a player doesn't want to play for the club let them go.If there heart isn't in it they shouldnt be playing for Liverpool.

Just heard that Césc Fábregas will join Barcelona, Arsen Wenger will not have a player on his team that doesn't want to play for them BUT Cesc does want to win any amount of silverware at the club, not a rubbishy emirates cup, proper silver ware, i believe it is understood his agent has contacted Barcelona saying this, and Barcelona are going to offer a pre–contract the same as Real did with Ronaldo, the deal will be in a region of £40 to 60 million depending of whether Yaya Toure or Ibrahimovic will be used in a swap deal. People need reminding Cesc is only still a young player, and will become one of the world best with a good future ahead of him, so Arsenal will not accept a fee of £30 million pounds, it will be higher, depending on a player swap.

but another source suggests the same story but slightly different, she said Arsenal will accept a bid of Ibrahimovic or ya ya and £40 million or £15 million before the world cup, but Fabregas would be loaned back for the season with him having another chance of silverware in an Arsenal shirt

not sure which one will happen, but one will,

Next season team
Joe Hart. or Buffon.
Sagna. Vermaelen. Cahill/Jagielka Clichy.
Ya Ya. Song.
Walcott. Gorcuff/Fabregas. Arshavin/Hazard.

Arsenal news:
2 90% certains to happen, 1 in, 1 out
In: Chamakh (Bordeaux) – Free, 5 year deal, £50k a week
Out: Fabregas – Barcelona – £45m
Regarding Chamakh, he was in London last night finalising the deal, expect confirmation any time between now and the start of the World Cup, most likely on June 1st.
Fabregas has reportedly told Wenger he wants to go back to Barcelona and sit on the bench so I guess it will certainly happen. Expect Barca to come in with an initial offer of £30m + Yaya Toure, but Wenger will reject this and ask for straight cash, as another DM isn't what we want to replace him. The fee will be around £45–50m. Barca are also close to the signing of David Villa, £40m.
Potential ins:
–Yoann Gourcuff/Hamsik – £15–20m – Replacement for Cesc
–Eden Hazard – £12m – Not sure if Wenger will look to sign any younger players but has been a long term target
–Gary Cahill – £12m – Coyle stated he wouldn't stand in his way of leaving, Wilshere loan could swing the deal
–Brede Hangeland – £10m – Denied by Wenger but still possible
–Philippe Mexes – £14m – Good experience in Europe and international level
–Pape Diakhate – £10m – Said to be in talks over joining already
(2 of the centre back options will be signed)
–Hugo Lloris – £12m – France's no.1, good long term no.1 option
–Gianluigi Buffon – £18m – Class act but probarbly more than Wenger would spend considering his age
–Manuel Neuer – £10m – Contender for Germany's no.1 shirt, also young and quality
–Joe Hart – £8m – Cheapest and probarbly best option but not sure if City would sell yet
Team for next season:
––––––––––––––––––––––Hart–––––––––––––––––––––
Sagna–––Hangeland/Mexes–––Vermaelen–––Clichy

Rafael Benitez is set to go back to Italy and back to Roma one year after he bought Alberto Aquilani as Xabi Alonso's replacement he has targeted Daniele De Rossi{valued at around £20million} as a potential replacement for Javier Mascherano if the player does decide to leave and a bid of at least £35million comes in, which unfortunatley is looking fairly likely after the Barcelona president earmarked the Argentine bulldog as one of his top targets this summer , Barca are looking to wrap up deals for Valencia's David Villa and Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas in the next two weeks before turning there attention to Mascherano who apparently said he wanted to move to Barca last summer.

–––Manchester United–––

A Liverpool fan rightly noted– Utd always spend. Big. Not Chelsea/ Madrid/ City big. Up to 30–35m is money allocated each season for a marquee signing and 25–30m/season for transfers. Add player assets this season (Carrick, Tosic, Foster) Anderson and Berbatov if offer is right. Two groups; French and Spanish speaking form the rumours.

French:
GK: S. Mandana(8–10m) or S. Frey
Def. Mid: L. Diarra(15–18m)
CM: S.Defour (10–15m)
S: K.Benzema(20–25m)

Spanish speaking:
GK: D. De Gea(10–12m) a gem of a keeper–said favourable things about United, but wants to wait. Buy and loaned back?
CM: D. Silva (20–25m). 2 previous bids rejected. Now quoted as "honoured" for club like United to want him and wouldn't resist. Up to Valencia.
S: L. Suarez (20–25m) been scouted intensively.
Opinion:
De Gea, L. Diarra, Silva and Suarez will consolidate promotions from the Reserves (i.e. Cleverly).

Carrick, Ando(hope not), Tosic, Foster with reserve players (D. Gray, Chester, Brandy, maybe Possebon) sold.

Young players:
Haris Vucinic
Ramon Azeez
Neymer
(Real M. favourites)
D. Vilalva
(next Big star out of River Plate)

Signings dependent on City/ Chelsea/ Spurs/ Real going for same players–inflating prices. More likely war of spending for 'names' Dzeko, Ribery, Gourcouff, Di Maria, Aguero, Gerard and Torres.

Despite being probably the best team in the world at the minute Pep Gardiola is looking to go on a major spending spree a bit like Real Madrid last season he wants sign Nemanja Vidic, Javier Mascherano, Cesc Fabregas, David Villa and Ashley Cole , this hopefully does not happen because the premier league will be weaker one of the best players from each of the recently disbanded big four going to Spain, the Champions league would nearly be over before it begun look at what their starting XI would be if they get there men 4–3–3 Valdes–Alves–Puyol–Vidic–Cole–Xavi–Mascherano–Fabregas–Messi–Villa–Iniesta its like a feckin world dream team , Pep is looking to offload Toure, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Marquez and Abidal along with a number of others.Barcelona and Real Madrid are getting a bit ridiculous with the money they spend.

LFC & Neverton are apparently battling it out for yet another Ajax player Jan Vertonghen – midfielder–cum–defender.

As for the person who posted about "ifs and buts" and "their friend in sports journalism" (I'm guessing you mean a journalist, but who knows). Remember that 75% of what appears in print and transfer stories/rumours in the UK national press doesn't come true. That isn't to say that some of it doesn't have some basis in fact, but most of it is wrong, and most people in "sports journalism" know that. Remember that what appears in print is more often than not stuff that there has been some sort of verification of, or its felt to come from a good source, or whatever. Just imagine what isn't published!

18 May 2010 17:16:32
Spurs fans please remember the 2005 /06 season when everton qualified for the champs league and it was now the big 5, no disrespect to them but look at them now, why do you think spurs will do better? They don't have a champions league squad and you will struggle to make the group stage .

My source at Falkirk tells me that Scott Arfield will sign for Huddersfield before the end of the week, fee is 400k with add–ons dependent on appearances.

Source also says that Steven Pressley is in no hurry to add to his squad but will look to get a couple of loan deals from Celtic tied up shortly. Other than that he is looking to speak to a former Dundee midfielder who was freed at the end of the season.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I can't believe the bull written on here by some arsenal fans..

some facts:

Arsenal need a GK, 2 possibly 3 CB, DM and a ST:

Silvestre, Gallas, Senderos and Merida are all leaving on Frees.

Chamakh deal is 90% certain to happen.

Arsenal are in good financial position, but are still a selling club and need to make a profit every year to pay off the stadium, therefore: Fabregas is 80% leaving (guessing between 30–40m + yaya)

GK potential targets:

Green, Hart, Buffon, Renia, Lloris, Frey, Akinfeev, Mandanda

Defensive potential targets:

Sakho, Hangeland, Zapata, Mexes, Cahill, Richards, Van der wiel (Only if Sagna is sold)

Midfield Potential targets:

Yaya Toure, Melo, Gourcuff, Hazard (if arshavin gets stroppy and wants to be sold expect a bid for him)

Striker potential targets:

Chamakh (deal all but done), Kevin Doyle (been reading Wenger is an admirer of him, I hope this isn't true).

This isn't what will happen, just realistic targets that could happen so stop writing that we're getting people like villa, silva, dzkeo, messi etc etc etccccccccc

Latest on Man United

There has been alot of talk regarding Uniteds lack of funds and debts saying that united will not spend on players because of this!
United just broke the 200million pound sponsorship barrier by adding a new deal with Concha y Toro a South American wine company making it the 20th completed commercial deal united have completed with more to come!! It is presumably one of the reasons why the Glazer family continue to insist they have no intention of selling the club!

The Red Knights group hopes to test their resolve with a £1bn offer at some point before the World Cup!!

The money is there to buy players its just a matter of who SAF decides to bring to united!!

Rumours that are doubtful;
Arteta(Everton) just signed new 4year contract with Everton!! United and Arsenal will have to look else where it seems!!
Angel Di Maria(Benfica) is most likely going to sign for real madrid! The La Liga side's bargaining power will be aided by their close relationship with Jorge Mendes, agent of Cristiano Ronaldo and, wait for it, Angel di Maria.(Hopefully he doesn't let politics like that keep him from United but Jorge Mendes did play a big factor in the whole Ronaldo saga)!!
Upside to this is Real won't try buy David Silva

Latest Rumour;
According to to Footylatest.com United are set to launch a bid of 50million for Ribery(Bayern Munich) with Bayern rumoured to be looking at Berbatov and Park it is plausable that a deal could be struck!!

Most likely to happen rumours;
Luis Fabiano(Sevielle) has come out and said publicly that he will not be signing a new contract with Sevielle! With only 1 year left on his current contract Sevielle will cash in now in case they lose him to free transfer at the end of next season!!
David Silva(Valencia)has been constantly linked to United for along time now and it seems Fergie is finally getting ready to make a move with 25–30million expected to be offered!! Valencia have said that they will accept the best offer they get this summer!!

Rumours regarding Benzema(Real Mad) and Ibrahimavich(Barca)!!
Benzema is a flop at Real and Ibrahimavich never performed to his expectations and prob is going to be offloaded now that Villa is finalising his move to Barca!! Their not good enough for Barca and Real but they seem to be considered good enough for United its wrong WRONG I TELL YOU!! We had a sulky player in Ronaldo(but he was class) we don't need to bring in sulky players that havent proven themselves worthy to wear the United Jersey!
Barca are currently trying to make there team the Spanish National team + Messi with Villa on the verge of signing and there efforts being stepped up for Fabregas and now reports that there stepping up there bid for Torres aswell!!
Its more likely that Ibra or Benzema could end up at Man City with Tevez Joining up with fellow Argentinians' Higuain(thats if he stays) at Real or Messi at Barca!!

I have been speaking with a friend who is involved in sports journalism, and there are lots of 'ifs' and 'buts' as with all rumours, but if Chelsea sign Aguerro or Torres or another striker, then Anelka will leave and join Manchester United in a cut price deal.

I wish all these rumours about Joe Cole Signing for LFC would stop. A. he doesn't want to go north, B. he's happy to be harry's bum chum where spurs pay him a fortune, do fck in the CL next and then struggle to get into te Eurpoa League after that. C. He can't displace Kalou in hte CHelsea team and he's shte! we don't need another medirocre player as we'e loads of them and D. Juan Mata is signing for LFC

Cesc fabregas will surely leave arsenal for barcelona, barclona are looking to step up their bid, barcelona rate him at £40m but AW sees him and will only sell for around the £60m mark. So expect a couple of players coming along to arsenal plus cash for fabregas.

David villa deal to barcelona is all but done.

Frank lampard to real madrid when mourinho takes over at real madrid, the current real madrid manager is on his way out and everyone knows how much mourinho admires madrid.

If fabregas does leave arsenal, expect gourcuff to sign, AW has already stated he has money to spend, and if he gets £40m+ he will definitely have the money to spend.

Liverpool will sign a couple of 8m rated players, i can't see any other players coming in as their in far too much debt, and if the new owners are rich, im sure they would rather get rid of the debt firstly rather than give the manager a big transfer kittee and put them in more debt.

Manchester united will DEFINITELY sign another striker, david silva has been mentioned but i can't see manchester united spending £20m on him and £20m+ on another striker, so just a striker expected at old trafford this season.

Man city will sign many players..

By the end of the week Barcelona will have signed Fabregas and David Villa for as little as 65m plus Y Toure! Once these deals have been sealed Barca will turn to Torres, Torres will not be able to say no to pairing up with friend and international colleague David Villa! 50m will be enough to seal the deal and Barca will have no problem raising the funds as they will be offloading Ibrahimovic for around 40m, Real Madrid are hot on his tail!

Other news is Mascherano has said he is not happy in England therefore a move is highly likely, Barcelona are no longer interested in him but Real Madrid are prepared to offer around 25m for his services! I have no news on Gerrard although with players leaving and him not getting any younger he may decide to leave for money, but this is my opinion whereas the other rumours are going to happen!

Sorry but buying David Villa means they won't go after Torres, they have no need for him, not sure Torres will be happy with being second rate. I don't think Fabregas will go either.

SORRY LAD BUT THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE, CESC HAS BEEN HOLDING SECRET MEETINGS WITH BARCELONA OFFICIALS IN MADRID, HE HAS EVEN HAD A SECRET MEDICAL! AND SKY SPORTS HAVE JUST SAID AS I AM TYPING THIS TO YOU "SPOOKY", CESC HAS ASKED TO SPEAK TO ARSENAL TODAY, BUT IS HAVING A BIT OF TROUBLE GETTING A PLANE OVER! HE WILL BE ASKING ARSENAL TO LET HIM LEAVE!

BARCELONA WANT TWO STRIKERS FOR NEXT SEASON, AND IBRA IS 100% LEAVING, IT IS NO SECRET BARCA WANT BOTH VILLA AND TORRES IN THEIR ATTACK! IT WILL ALL HAPPEN! BUT THE TORRES DEAL MAY HAPPEN AFTER THE WC UNLIKE THE VILLA AND CESC DEALS!

– McCoist has stated that he wishes to use more of the youth this term as he feels he can push them on in their progression to first team football.
– McCoist has been asked to submit any list of potential signing request to the board by end of May, in order to secure players prior to pre–season.

Southampton Rumours!

It is true Southampton won't let any of there players go unless its for big money – as they don't have to sell players to pay the bills any more – its that simple.

Now they are owned by Marcus Liebherr – a Swiss/German billionaire they are the fifth wealthiest club in England – in theory!

The signs are he will take a cautious approach – not just splash the cash – but expect to see Championship standard players arrive at St Mary's this summer as the Saints push for automatic promotion next season.

Saints are apparently talking to Inigo Calderon – a Spanish right back who was at Brighton but is now a free agent. But so are other clubs.

With gates of 20,000 plus, no debts and a billionaire owner Saints can pay higher wages than most clubs in the CCC so expect a few surprises like Jose Fonte this summer.

Like to point out that unsecure bank loans of £4–5 million and a secure £22 million mortgage on the Stadium (payable at £1.5 million a year) so it was nothing like Portsmouth, Palace or Leeds.

As it was it had more to do with Chairman Lowe breaking the terms of the overdraft facility and falling out with Barclays Bank than anything else. Player sales in the summer and a massively reduced wage bill would have clearted most of the debts anyway.

Liebherr bought Saints out of Admin for £15 million which paid off the bank loans as well as all other debts and settled the mortgage on the stadium for about £7 or £8 million.

Saints have never ever been better off financially!

Man Utd Realistic Transfer:

With Nani having come into his own towards the end of the season, he is finally showing the potential that fergusson saw in him when he splashed all that money on him. For that reason and with cover such as Park, Obertan, Giggs, etc we won't be spending big money on an out n out winger!

Secondly, we saw during that horrible week that ruined our season, when we don't have rooney we are totally mucked. he doesn't trust Berbs and instead decided to go with a 50% fit Rooney for the biggest games of our season up top on his own. And with Owen looking likely to leave the club or just play a bit part role along with the likes of Wellbeck and Macheda possibly looking to get some first team action out on loan a striker is a definate purchase this summer.

Also, with the centre midfield role being a big question point, with the legend that is Scholes coming towards the end, he will have a more reserved season this season and will be dipped in and out of the team, we will be looking for some one to partner fletcher who is seem as a footballing genius across the streets of Manchester. Ever since the champions leage final against Barca, Fergie has realised that Carrick is very much average and doesn't have that class that he once believed he possessed. Anderson will be sent out on loan or sold. Gibson looks a very good prospect but may not be ready to fulfil a starting role just yet and with Owen Curly Hair Hargreaves on his way back he may be used as a right back if he can prove his fitness or the 3rd centre mid when we play 4–5–1 that Fergie loves to do. So because of this we need someone who has that attacking edge to them, that can make late runs into the box and get a few goals, along with an eye for a pass. So a centre mid will also be a definate purchase.

Van Der Saar will be given one more year in the sticks with a view to signing a goalie in Jan or next season.

On to possible targets:

Strikers:
Fabiano (fergies always rated him)
Benzema (unlikely as he will want to prove himself at Real)
Huntlaar (maybe as a swap deal with berbs)
Ronaldinho (again always been admirered by fergie)
Dzeko (would complement Rooney the way that Cappelo sees when he works with Heskey)
Suarez (that goal scoring touch to ease the pressure on Rooney)
Alexis Sanchez (seen as the new ronaldo)

Centre Midfielders:
Milner (would be perfect and fergie was once looking to sign him from leeds but thought he would get develop more having regular first team premiership football elsewher)
Silva (perfect replacement for scholes in terms of passing, vision, class and will offer that link from midfield to strike force)
modric
gourcuff

Goalkeepers:
Akinfeev
Lloris
Neuer

These are just my views. hope you all agree.

Lowestoft Town are set to sign Jamie Cureton on a free in the summer. They will also persuade Dion Dublin and Darren Huckerby out of retirement as they look to continue their impressive climb up the leagues.

Norwich will look to sign Chelsea's Sam Hutchinson on loan in the summer as well as signing Nicky Butt on a free, Archie Thompson and Billy Celeski from Melbourne Victory, Charlie Austin from Swindon Town and Nicky Bailey from Charlton. Fraser Forster or Kasper Schmeichal will sign for the number 1 spot.

Leaving will be Stephen Elliot, Cody Mac (LOAN), Rusty and Jed Steer (LOAN).

Man Utd will try to sign Tom Adeyemi from City, with many clubs interested in the talented youngster. Though, Lambo is expected to reject the bid.

PNE NEWS

Boardroom meetings continue at the club as chairman Derek Shaw "still" refuses to sell up to Hemmings.

If Hemmings follows his threat through and does not pay the HMRC bill until shaw is gone, we could be heading for one less league team.

Sam

Thanks for that Sam.I don't think Shaw will have much of a say. If he refuses to go, the fans will turn on him and it could get pretty ugly.

Shaw's a spent force and Hemmings will get his way. Shaw would not want Preston going out of business so he will walk. The McManus's will come on board and so will Sir Alex once Jose is installed as his successor.

Robert Green is signing for Arsenal. I've worked at the club many years and heard from club officials that the deal will be confirmed post World Cup.

18 May 2010 12:40:23
After speaking to my uncle who is a football agent, I can reveal these rumours.

Hibs Rumours.

Hibs to sign Jonny Tuffey from Partick in a free transfer.

Paul Hartley to return from Bristol, much to the dismay of a small minority of Hibs fans.

Hibs will also swoop for Morton youngster Ally Lang, who has scored 38 goals from right midfield this season. He will be joined by Danny Swanson of Dundee United.

Celtic Rumours.

Keane will sign a permanant deal for £3m along with Garry Kenneth who will join for £1.6m.
Celtic will also swoop for Dundee Utd youngsters Chris Brophy and Chris Hart as manager to be Neil Lennon looks to build for the future.

18 May 2010 12:33:12
Is it just me or are celtic signing every player that has one or more sylabils in their name? anyway, any rangers rumours?

18 May 2010 12:22:57
Apparently, Fabregas will be going to Barcalona, but only if Lionel Messi is moving in the other direction. This will be the least of Wenger's demands, which will be rejected and Barcalona will wait a few more years before moving for Fabregas again.

These players are def going to Arsenal:

Hugo Lloris – 14 mil
Gary Cahill – 8 mil
Felipe Melo – 12 mil
Marouane Chamakh – 0

Total – 34 mil

To pay for this, a few players will be leaving Arsenal:

Almunia – 4 mil
Silvestre – 0
Clichy – 18 mil
Denilson – 5 mil
Rosicky – 8 mil
Arshavin – 30 mil
Eduardo – 10 mil

Total – 75 mil

This will leave Wenger with 41 mil to spend or save. If he does spend it, it will be on 1 player out of these 3:

Fernando Torres – 40 mil
Nemanja Vidic – 30 mil
David Villa – 40 mil

18 May 2010 12:24:18
A few Points I want to comment on. The Norwich Fan who said Norwich City are signing Anthony Wordsworth (Hartlepool) 500,000. Well I am a Hartlepool fan and we have no such player at the club. However I would be happy to take 500,000 for a player who doesn't exist.

To the guy who said the Arsenal fan doesn't know what he is talking about on the subject on P. Viera. Actually he is right. Arsenal sold Viera to Juventus, who sold him to Inter when they got relegated. Not sure if Arsenal are still owed money or not, but Arsenal did sell him to Juventus. FACT!

A few Rumours I have heard/read about.

Arsenal have had a £16Mil bid for Liverpool Keeper Riena rejected this morning.

Man City have offered £20Mil for Milner, Villa have not/will not respond until all interested parties bid or pull out. O'Neil will sell if the prices is right and is hoping for a bidding war.

Villa and Fabs will be Barcelona players before the World Cup starts. Once Villa has signed Ibramovich will be offered to several clubs, including Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and Man City.

18 May 2010 12:14:46
There is so much complete and utter rubbish posted on this site. Firstly, the mention of the 6+5 rule, which is complete rubbish, and was another Gartside–championed idea to go with his Premier League 2 idea (basically a way of making life easier for Bolton). It's not happening, the reason Liverpool signed players like Glen Johnson last year and are looking for young english talent (like Shelvey and Sterling) is that the rules on squad registration have changed, requiring a minimum number of players trained in England to be included in a named squad (which excludes those under the age of 21incidentally), a rule many top clubs are used to with the registration required for UEFA competitions. Also, Torres is not going to go to Barcelona, who have all but signed David Villa, to replace the possibly outgoing Ibrahimovic. Real would love to sign him but couldn't manage to convince the Atlectico man previously. Personally, I just can't imagine him moving to another club in England or Spain, at least not this summer. Jesus Navas is a player to have been linked with a move to Anfield, but this would be tricky, given that he turned down the chance to move to Chelsea a few years ago because of his Chronic homesickness problems, which has seriously affected his international career in the past, as well as his playing in europe with Sevilla, i can't see it. Liverpol need a takeover as soon as possible, but the Americans aren't as stupid as their management of the club would have you believe they are used to the buying and selling of huge corporations, and know exactly how to get the best return on their investment. Without at takeover, Liverpool may be forced to sell a big name (Mascherano seems to have put himself forward for that), if they want to bring in a big name, otherwise it's going to be youngsters (Jonjo Shelvey, Danny Wilson, Tom Cairney, Haris Vuckic, Wijnaldum) or cheap and free signings (Jovanovic, Joe Cole, Majhid Bougherra) who will come in.

I'm thoroughly confused (as a Liverpool fan even) why people are speculating so much on Man United. They have got quite incredible debts and insane interest added to that, but they always speand, and always will spend big money. Particularly when they miss out on the big prizes like this season, they spend big and as much as i hate to admit it, usually quite well. I don't know anything about their finances, but they have more than saleable assets if required. Rooney (who i don't think will leave unless forced), has been the sole reason United didn't struggle this year, but United can't carry on with such expensive flops on their books, no bigger than Berbatov, to add to Anderson, Hargreaves (through injury), Nani (Blows hot and cold still) and Zoran Tosic. United's better players, save Rooney, Vidic and Evra are all over 30 (Ferdinand, Van Der Sar, Neville, Giggs and Scholes), and combine that to the dead wood, they all need replacing, soon, that's maybe too much money. And Ferguson has already invested substantial amounts in Smalling and the young South–Amercan lad. Also, is Carrick really on his way? He's not the best defensively, and looks out of place in the bigger games, but he's still a good player, and had the range of passes to unlock a tough, smaller side like Stoke.

Man City have the problem Chelsea have had, for all their money, players just don't want to go there if they can get a similar deal for a club with some amount of history. City missing out on the Champions League will really hurt them in the transfer window, it mans they can't go out and get anyone, as much as they believe they can. Kaka is probably the biggest proof of this, no matter how much money City threw his way, he was always going to turn them down. City would be better going for mid–level targets, Jerome Boateng for example is an ideal target and a player who can improve them, the likes of Torres, Villa, Gerrard, Silva, Aguero etc are not likely to choose Man City even if they are up for sale. Man City have the money to sign a similar reputation type player though, like James Milner for example.

West Ham don't have anywhere near as much money as Hammers fans seem to imagine, perhaps the reason that they're looking for a ridiculous fee for Carlton Cole, who's just not worth it. Birmingham have already showed how a little bit of money can disappear, i seem to remember that they were going to have millions to spend on big–name players (laughably this included a reported £13m bid for Ryan Babel), now they have to sell to buy? What happened there? {editor's note – why do you think the Americans are capable of getting the best price for the club? All they do is drag things out, Hicks, in fact, is in serious danger of having one of his American sports franchises forcibly taken off him because of the way he has been messing about over the sale of it.}

Manchester United news :

Well lets get some things straight ..

We don't spend unless it is must.. we only need a backup striker for Rooney which we already have as hernandez ( done deal )

Berba and Huntaleer swap to happen in the first week of transfer market.

and Defour is likely to join . that's it for this summer

Anderson will be starting more as CAM .. we might buy a CAM when Jan window opens only if Anderson fails to impress..

News out of the Emirates!!

Cesc and Mr Wenger already had a meeting before the fulham match in which negotiations took place.Cesc was unhappy at the fact Arsenal never won a trophy and was questioning Arsenals abilities.Mr Wenger reassured him that big signings will be made and to give Arsenal Another 2 years before going to BARCELONA. Despite all this, Barcelona will still make an offer which will be rejected!!!!

So Cesc won't be leaving just yet!

M.Chamakh has passed his medical and will be unevieled as an Arsenal Player on 1st of June 2010.He has been given the number 29 shirt.

It was correct that a £14million bid was rejected by LPOOL for Reina, Arsenal will all but surely finialise Buffon, only obstacle remains his wages, but he is willing to take a pay cut and accept £90,000 per week on a 3year contract.£8million plus viera left over payments(6.8mill)

Talks have been ongoing with Bremen for Mertsecker, they have slapped a tag of £21million where Arsenal are only looking to offer £13million.If a Deal cannot be found, KJAER will be signed for £12million.

A deal with PSG is in place which will bring us SAKHO for £7million plus Traore. Sakho will replace Silvestre

Talks have also taken place with YAYA Toure and Felipe Melo. Toure price tag of £16million is too high so Melo will be brought in for £10million

Arsenal have also made a downpayment of £4million for Hazard who will join next year

That is all the signings that will happen this year!Happy days!

Ok here are a couple of things that could happen this summer..

liverpool – benitez is staying, torres will stay, not sure about gerrard? or mascherano, liverpool will have limited money, and no big signings unless 1 of these are sold. they are looking at carlton cole vdv belhadj/kolarov – you'll never walk alone!!!

chelsea – lampard will stay allthough when real appoint mourinho they will try to negotiate a deal, some dead wood will be sold and at least 1 big name will b brought.. aguero/pato/kaka look the most likely with 2 mybe 3 squad players

Manchester utd – berbatov will stay unless a swap or a good offer comes in, david silva will not sign for man utd, expect 1 marquee signing if ferguson thinks he needs it, which he does as they finished 2nd in the league

Arsenal – Fabregas is gone, gallas is hated, wenger will need to pull his finger out in the transfer market. brede hangeland could b signed as an experienced premiership defender, and a repalcement for fabregas maybe hamsik??

Boardroom meetings continue at the club as chairman Derek Shaw "still" refuses to sell up to Hemmings.

If Hemmings follows his threat through and does not pay the HMRC bill until shaw is gone, we could be heading for one less league team.

The following players are currently in negotiations with the club:

Tom Kennedy
Simon Gillett
Elliott Ward
Billy Sharp – there are 3 clubs in the race but SO'D is confident!
Luke Varney

The Wise Old Elf just so you know torres isn't leaving liverpool as he is willing to fight to get liverpool back up there, and if he where to go it is barcelona to play champions league football man city are on the same boat as liverpool, just because you read a story on the gossip column doesn't mean it is true! and the yanks will spend as they are trying to get the value of the club up so they won't sell top players torres, reina etc and rafa if he is here touch wood he isn't has around 30–40 million to spend without any funds from selling real rumours
gerrard to real madrid 10 mil plus bezema/higuain and mascherano is off to barca

Liverpool to get cole on a free
Milner is a possible target
Kjaer/Cahill to replace skrtel
Jovanavic, shevley, wilson done deals
S.Parker to repalce Mascha
Benzema or higuain Part Exch

Y.N.W.A Parley {editor's note – H&G will not spend to raise the value of the club!! That is not how it works at all, the only thing spending will do is lower their profit margin.}

18 May 2010 11:39:57
Transfers:
If Torres leaves LFC it will be to Barca for around 50m, Barca are also bidding on Villa for around 35m.

Milner to Man City is a likely possiblility. unless a champions league spot team makes a bid. Around 25m.

Manchester United. Benzema doubtful. Silva doubtful. Luiz Suarez could happen, Gourcuff around 25m. Ferguson has also been thinking about a bid for Fabiano for around 16m

18 May 2010 11:40:19
Barca are looking to sign Cesc Fabregas and David Villa to boost their squad for next season. Negotiations for Villa are advanced and a fee of 40 million in being discussed.

The story with Cesc is different, Barca have approached Arsenal to open negotiations, Wenger+Gazidis don't want to give into Barca's bullying and blatant tapping up and send a strong message to the money men in La Liga.

Wenger will demand 60–75 million cash and will consider 50 million + Toure. Barca have budgeted 40–45 million for Fabregas but are seriously considering offering Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Toure + 25 million for Fabregas. The deal will be difficult as Ibrahimovic's wages are sky–high and despite Wenger's admiration of the Swede, he sees Fabregas as a son and one of his greatest acheivments in football and will not back down. Most likely scenario will see Fabregas join Barca when Xavi retires in a few years.

Wenger is looking to sign 2 Centre–halves to replace the outgoing Gallas (Lyon/Bordeaux/PSG), Senderos (Newcastle/Wolfsburg) and Silvestre (Bordeaux). He wants Mamadou Sakho for the left–side to replace Silvestre and will cost somewhere in the 8–10 million category.

For the right–footer he has numerous options such as Carlos Marchena who is set to depart Valencia in the summer, Cristian Zapata who has had a poor season with Udinese who would accept 10–12 million, Phil Jagelka who has impressed with Everton and England and Gregory Van Der Wiel who can play at RB as well as CB and would cost 10 million.

The deal for Maroune Chamakh is set to be announced to day, it is expected he will take the same number that he had at Bordeaux (29)

As for a GK, Emiliano Viviano has been the most recently linked, he's a talented 24 yr old who stands at 6 ft 4 but with Buffon, Romero, Frey, Neuer, Adler and Lloris all being linked you can take your pick.

Sorry to all man utd fans but the buying won't happen this time.
The ronaldo money is gone , spent on debt repayment
This means that only a couple of players will be signed unless berbatov can be sold meaning man u don't make aloss on him which is unlikely
The players will be mario balotelli/edin dzeko or a surprise hijack of arsenals chamahck (sp)
And either angelo di maria or simao

Lfc
No new owner
Little money to spend
Rafa to stay on another season

Chelsea

West Ham United news;

Avram Grant to be named manager either today or tomorrow. Gold and Sullivan are to give Grant the financial support he needs to build a strong top–10 team to build upon in order to achieve their Champions League football within a period of 7 years.

Players that will leave;

Gabbidon – Cardiff
Spector – Any promoted team or championship team
Matthew Upson – Liverpool, Everton, Aston Villa
Robert Green – Foreign team, prob. a German team
Kieron Dyer – WBA, Blackpool (if promoted) or championship
Luis Boa Morte – Campionship or back home to Portugal
Valon Behrami – Back to Italy
Herita Ilunga – PSG
Ilan – Return from loan
Kovac – WBA, Championship team
Franco –
Mido – Return from loan

Incoming players;
Micah Richards – Man City
Kevin Boateng – Porsmouth
Jamie O'Hara – Tottenham
David James – Portsmouth
Sidney Govou – Free from Lyon
Martin Petrov – Free from Man city
Sebastian Larsson – Birmingham
Yakubu – Everton
Michael Owen – Man UTD
David Bentley – Tottenham
Eduardo – Arsenal
Robbie Keane – Tottenham
Luke Young – Aston Villa
Roque Santa Cruz – Man City

Not saying that all these will go through.. However Carlton Cole will not go to Liverpool, Aston Villa or any other team, cause they don't want to pay the asking price. He is valued too much and concidered to be in the core of the West Ham squad that they will build to achieve their goals. That goes for Mark Noble too. In my point of view that concerns Rob Green as well, it is just down to the money offered for him I suppose.

Comrades!

Much is being made of the Milan Jovanovic transfer as though it's news. The deal was done back in early February. What is news is where he will play. Jovanovic is not being brought in as cover for Torres. He is in fact being brought in to play support striker just behind him in a manner similar to Dalglish with Rush. Jovanovic is not the quickest of players, but is extremly intelligent and his positional sense is superb. So, get your thinking caps on guys and gals. If Jovanovic is starting eleven with Torres, who are the other 9? Because we will be reverting to 4–4–2 (4–4–1/1) which mean only 4 in midfield. And then there is the 6+5 rule that we have to start preparing for. Here's a challenge for all you would–be transfer experts – don't mention potential transfers unless you can explain how they will fit in to the 6+5 rule.

Red Lenin knows what the line–up will probably be, but that depends on whether Rafa stays or goes and just how much Barcelona are willng to push for two (yes two and neither is Torres) of our first team players.

Good news is that Rafa looks like he is listening to his family and his heart and is more than likely staying. And it is good news – there are very few managers on the planet as good or better than him

Walsall rumours

Being a close friend of Jeff Bonser and can reveal that Walsall are on the edge of signing Kevin Phillips from Birmingham this summer. Philips's contract will be paid up and he will sign for Walsall on a free transfer for one year.

After the rumblings at the Banks's Stadium during the end of last season Bonser has decided to redirect the rent payments he takes out of the club and release them for Chris Hutchings' transfer kitty.

Hutchings will be looking to bring in Andy Monkhouse from Hartlepool after Julian Gray has turned down his contract offer.

I will let you know more when I do

BIG rumours:
Enough of the most unlikely rumours on here guys! Torres isn't moving anywhere, Gerrard leaving is also unlikely! Fabregas also isn't going, no matter how much Barca want him (yet).
Arsenal will finalise a deal for Marouane Chamakh very soon costing them, well nothing. No goalkeeper will sign, Wenger likes Almunia's character and he counts as an English player in the CL squads. Gallas will leave for AC Milan, which will see a new CD sign and a new LM. Papa Diakhate will sign for £10m and expect Hatem Ben Arfa to join for £22m.
Chelsea will be signing Sergio Aguero for around £40m, Yohann Gourcuff for £27m and Ryan Shawcross for £14m.
Liverpool will be taken over, and Rafa will have a season to guide the club back into the top 4. Around 9 players will leave, 5 joining. Milan Jovanovic and Joe Cole will sign on a free. Arda Turan will sign for £11m, Simon Kjaer for £12m and Nadir Belhadj for £3m.
Man City will spend big this summer, with David Luiz joining for £25m, James Milner MAYBE for £22m, Igor Akinfeev for £14m and Taye Taiwo for £13m.
Finally Man Utd fans are just as bigger dreamers as Liverpool ones. Berbatov is staying until he's proven he's worth £30m, typical Ferguson. The only players signing will be 2, a new CD and a new ST. Marco Borriello is being considered but it is likely Klass–Jan Huntelaar will join for £15m and Rafael Marquez for £10m as backup for Ferdinand and Vidic.

The Wise Old Elf 18 May 2010 09:37:49 suggested of Mssrs Hicks and Gillette:

"I think they have accepted that they will be forced to pay out Benitez contract when he goes as he will have a clear case for constructive dismissal because of the way the club has been run over the past 12 months."

A couple of points. Firstly, how the club has been run does not give a case for constructive dismissal. It is much more likely is that the board could appoint someone to sit above Benitez and oversee everything he does as his representatives have been courting the interest of other sides. This can easily be justified by the board claiming that they need to provide a level of protection for the club.

Secondly, and as you probably are a Liverpool fan something that may give a ray of hope, I expect that Liverpool will indeed receive payment for Benitez when he departs. I expect that Inter Milan will, after some negotiation, pass on the payment given by Real Madrid for Mourinho to Liverpool as compensation for Benitez. Normally I would never mention money, but I would hazard a guess that the figure will be in the region of euro 7 million.

Sharkey.

18 May 2010 10:50:57
MAN UTD NEWS:

United to sign Luis Fabiano(14–16M), Steven Defour(12–15M) and Haris Vuckic(6M+ Diouf and Obertan on loan) as well as the already signed Javier Hernandez(8M) and Chris Smalling(10M).

Leaving will be Micheal Carrick(8–10M), Zoran Tosic(8M), Ben Foster(6M+add ons), Rodirigo Possebon(4M) and possibly Dimitar Berbatov(18M+)(if a good enough offer comes in) this will raise between 25–40M depending on weather Berbatov leaves.

Sir Alex won't spend over 25M on a player as he feels this is a waste of money under the current fiancal climate, don't expect him to break th 20M bracket unless he feels its a player who is to good to miss out on(someone with a Rooney or Ronaldo kind of talent).

So that will mean no Benzema(who's twice turned us down and has stated that he wants to stay at Madrid next season. would you really want a player who doesn't want to play for united?), Dzeko, Di Maria, Villa, Suarez, Kaka or anyone else who will be ridiculasly expensive.

Next year the targets will be Jack Rodwell to come in after a years more experiance and a goalkeeper to replace the retiring Van Der Sar, and the usual youngsters.

United won't sign a winger as theres no place for a winger in the team, Nani and Valencia are both quite young and were both expensive buys so won't be replaced then we have the hugely underrated Park and the young Obertan who will be a huge hit in a season or twos time, aslo we have Giggs Welbeck Fletcher Hargreaves and the Da Silva brothers who can play there if needed. So don't expect Silva as he primarily plays on the wing but don't totally rule him out as he can also play behind the striker(but imo he doesn't score enough goals when he does).

lets have some common sense shall we! lol

To the idiot who posted this:

M Owen – Man U to Blackpool if promoted
Jan Mucha – Legia Warsaw to Everton
Yakubu – Everton to West Ham
Donovan – LA to Everton
Gerrard – LFC – wherever Mourinho ends up
Torres – LFC – Man City
Foster – MUFC – Birmingham

Fernando Torres will not be leaving Liverpool to join Man City, as Man City are in the exact same position as Liverpool with no champions league football next year. If Torres leaves it will be to join Barcalona as he will want Champions League football. He also stated a couple of weeks back that he wants to leave england as he could get injured for life playing there. I also don't think that Gerrard will leave as he'll want to guide his favourite club out of this rough patch.

Some REAL rumours and Transfers are:

Chamakh to Arsenal (Free)– Nearly completed

Fabregas and Villa to Barclona

Yaya Toure to arsenal if fabregas leaves, If Fabregas stays the Toure wants to stay and fight for a place in the Barca team.

Lampard to Real Madrid – Probably unlikely unless they getd Mourinho

Sidney Govou is being strongly linked with a move to West Ham – Free Transfer

Chelsea's MAIN transfer target is Sergio Kun Aguero.

Piqquionne to Fulham – Not sure if its a great move for fulham

Eden Hazrad has been linked with Real Madrid, Lyon and Arsenal. Most likely going to end up at Madrid.

Liverpool have displayed strong interest in Ever Banega to replace the void left by Alonso last year.

Man U are said to interested in securing the services of french striker Karim Benzema who was a flop at Madrid.

Lastly Frank Ribery is being linked with a few high profile teams such as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man U. Also some interest from Man City but we all know man city are gunna struggle to bring in talent this year.

They are also expected to pick up Darren Ambrose for £1m plus Mike Grella going the other way on season–long loan.

They have also lodged a £750k bid for Billy Paynter, although he will only talk to the club if Swindon lose to Millwall in the Playoff final.

No deal for Harte, who is expected to move to QPR.

Ed

since when did this site become a fantasy football site?

So far today we have heard that LFC are spending ( at a conservative estimate) £66m!!

Now call me cycnical – but the club is owned by Gillett and Hicks– who are trying to sell the club before the banks foreclose on their hefty short term loans. G + H are known to be trying to extract the very most money they can from the club – so why would they be interested in providing further funds to buy players?

I think they have accepted that they will be forced to pay out Benitez contract when he goes as he will have a clear case for constructive dismissal because of the way the club has been run over the past 12 months.

With regards purchases – I believe it is time for Liverpool fans to accept that they are a Selling club this summer. They will be taken over in the late autumn but they then need to spend the following 18 months building a solid TEAM rather than doing a Man City and gathering a load of 'stars' who just don't gel.

LFC will bring in young, inexpensive prospects for the future (something they would never have done in the past as their Academy was one of the best in the world). They need to look down the East Lancs and see how long it took SAF to build a world class MUFC team. That is the sort of timescale LFC need to be concentrating on now.

Now for REAL rumours (if slightly ourt of left field)

M Owen – Man U to Blackpool if promoted
Jan Mucha – Legia Warsaw to Everton
Yakubu – Everton to West Ham
Donovan – LA to Everton
Gerrard – LFC – wherever Mourinho ends up
Torres – LFC – Man City
Foster – MUFC – Birmingham

I've just seen a rumour on here that links up with something I heard recently.

A friend of mine lives and works up in Preston. He's a Blackburn fan himself, but has lots of mates that support and are involved in Preston North End. According to him once Alex Ferguson retires, he will be joining his son Darren at Preston North End and ploughing a large amount of cash into the club to create some kind of Ferguson dynasty that will revive PNE to their former glory. This could just be wishful thinking of waffle, it could even be Fergie trying to ensure his boy has a good shot at the PNE job without being sacked (you could hardly get rid of him if his old man was going to throw millions in could you – not that I believe he is likely to be sacked anyway), but thought I would share this with you all. The timeframe I heard was the end of this coming season for Ferguson to retire with everything to happen shortly afterwards.

Could all be Bullst, but thought I'd share.

AB68

You're spot on there!

Trevor Hemmings is going to assume control for the forthcoming season (Shaw will be gone, as Hemmings will tell him either I take over or no more money – therefore making his position untenable).

JP McManus and his daughter Sue Ann will join as directors and Sir Alex will come on board once he has handed power over to 'The Special One' (Jose will be at Real Madrid next season, but then leave as he wants the Man Utd job when Sir Alex goes).

WellA bad morning for Arsenal fans, sky sources have confirmed that Barcelona are 'hopeful' of signing Cesc Fabregas THIS summer! And apparently he wants to go, it's just agreements with Arsenal that is needed. I am a strong Arsenal fan and im not sure about my fellows butIve had enough of this speculation, all over sky, newspapers and this site! Yes he is our captain and one hell of a player, future world player in my eyes but he is one man, think about the money Wenger would have for him, we are already in a healthy financial situation, let him go I say, it's just becoming painful, like when Henry went. Let him go and then you can bring in the likes of Yaya Toure, Yoann Gourcuff/ Mikel Arteta then 2 CB not 1 (experienced and young e.g. Mertesacker and Sakho). Whether a keeper, I do not know, Wenger plays his cards to close to his chest. But if Fabregas goes, expect players! I think Arsenal is becoming a team where they rely on 1 player too much, like what happend when Henry was here. If he wants another season at North London then great, otherwise let him go!

SPL rumours
––––––––––––––––

Celtic look to be holding talks with Steve Reid from Blackburn as he is out of contract. Reports suggest that Lennon wants him, indicating that he looks to be getting the managers job.

rangers, alaistair johnston has been reported on radio clyde today that he says that they are planning for next season without a new buyer as Ellis has failed to turn up for 2 meetings. the impact of this would mean smith leaving but mccoist taking over as manager. this would alsomean no cash to offer contracts to all the players currently without a deal. also expect several first teamers to be sold and only free transfer brought in.

St Mirren – the non playing staff have been told that there may be job losses, so don't expect any new players

To the guy who said this

"17 May 2010 22:57:49
Just to let everyone know southampton FC will not be selling any of there players unless a stupid bid comes in say 15 million"

Nice one your entire squad is worth less than that, the way saints are spending again another administration is just round the corner.

Robert Koren and Jay De Merit won't sign for new clubs til after the world cup. Both are free agents and can command higher salaries depending on decent world cup appearances. Both will be desperate to play in the England group game.

18 May 2010 08:18:57
For the pepole who say shane lowary gonna sign on a free transfer check the fact that last he got a call of for the aussie world cup squad and has just signed a new contact.. so we got no chance of getting him on a free maybe a loan. please check your facts before posting rubbish

I've just come back from a long weekend away and yesterday went to New Quay in Wales and while in a cafe got speaking to an old couple who after some time revealed they were Garath Bales gran parents. His grandad told me just before signing a new 4 year contract Inter Milan made bid of 24mil for him. Spurs turned it down n he signed a new but ManPoo last week have also enquired about his availability.

Rafa will be staying the season, and will install some more Spanish players, however he will only be able to sign one player for over 10m. That will be Marco Borriello, for 14.5m. The transfer was agreed last week. Borriello is frustrated with the fact that Leonardo is leaving and that there has not been significant funding into the squad. Although that it is a similar situation at Liverpool, he wants a fresh start and the fact that Benitez can speak Italian, and speaking to Aquilani, the reports have been good enough for him to make the move. Pedro Leon from Getafe will sign for 10m and take control of the right side of midfield, with Kuyt on his way. Taye Taiwo wants a new challenge after winning the Ligue 1 with Marseille, and Liverpool are the only team interested. They are preparing a bid of 9m for the Nigerian.

Just been on the phone to my footballing agent who said baggies fans don't need to worry dorrans is going nowhere unless £15 millon or £8–10 million plus good midfielder cones in the deal also reports are true baggies want sturridge but also welbeck on loan as they have great connections with SAF at old Trafford, banks's stadium news is if baggies get welbeck they will send atteef alliou on loan or Paul downing as di matteo want to help the " little club down the road" only know this due to my friend being on the payroll of W.B.A.

I've just seen a rumour on here that links up with something I heard recently..

Could all be Bullst, but thought I'd share..

I have it on good authority funny enough from a Spurs fan, that Arsenal have tried to sign Pepe Reina for 12.5m, this is 100% accurate, the deal was rejected in an heartbeat and now Arsenal will turn their attentions to Joe Hart!

Liverpools first concern over the summer is to reduce the wage bill before any new transfers come along, here are some of the high earners that have been ear marked to leave Liverpool, Aurelio, Babel, Riera, Skrtel, Benayoun, Degen. These player sales should be around 20m to 25m but more importantly the wage bill will be reduced and also they are the players rocking the Liverpool boat. So far Liverpool have wisely bought some decent young talent. Add a name to that list Tommy Oar for 3m. Liverpool's spending so far will be about 5m for Sterling, Shelvey, Wilson and Jovanovic. So there could be as much as 17m left for new player purchases, not a lot of cash. The major worry at Anfield is that Torres and Gerrard will leave, both are unhappy especially Torres as he could earn substantial money at Chelsea or Man City. The likelyhood is if Rafa leaves they will use that at the exit excuse to leave as well. On the upside whoever will come in should have a further 60m or so to rebuild just through the sales of Torres and Gerrard.

Lee Holmes looks as if hes on the way back to the Banks's stadium after holding talks with manager Chris Hutchings over the last few days. the big news coming from the ground is a 1 year loan deal for striker Kevin Phillips from Birmingham City

18 May 2010 00:00:34
I confirm in the last few hours city have put in a 20 million bid for james milner, both chelsea and united are expected to equal the bid and hope james milner will pick them, this is gospel and even the sky news website can confirm it!

Gabriel Obertan to Newcastle on Loan.

I read in a newspaper earlier that Obertan was unlikely to go on loan to a club in the Prem, but if he did the only club Sir Alex would be prepared to give a rising star is Newcastle. There was a quote saying he would like to help out Newcastle by letting him go on Loan to St James Park for there return to the Prem next season.

Apparantely wolves are interested in signing relegated pompey duo nadir belhadj and kevin prince boateng for 8 million, both would be an asset to wolves as belhadj would fit in the much needed lb role and would also supply attacking options with his blistering pace and boateng looks like a good established top flight player who will only get better, he looks to have good leadership would be a steal to get these players at 4 million a piece, hope it goes through.

To the Guy who said that he had seen a chauffeur driven car at the Emirates.

Loads of people have come on here and had a pop at you.
1) Well no one would be going to London Colney at present at the England squad are training there!
2) You can into the car park from the road, yes its below road level but you can still see
3) When the gates are open, you can see through to the entrance

No idea who it is/was.but if have the rumours on here are correct.Bring it on !

A couple of comments on these statements

1) Chamack was at London Colney today apparently (according to sky sports sources) so the chances are they wouldn't use the Emirates to negotiate, also i very much doubt england will have been there all day?
2)you can see if you stand outside and peer in, i thought he was driving?and the view is still not great anyway
