I am very happy that "Coppello" is our new boss, and its good that he has cut down the squad number to 24. I happen to know that some of the rumours on here about "super" Nicky Maynard are NOT true. My mate lives next door to him in Portishead, and Maynard LOVES the area. Maynard is here to stay at Bristol City. Why should he leave us? As for Bradley Orr, I heard that PNE want him? They can have him for all I care. He CANNOT defend for toffee. The players I want at the Gate are: Kitson, Carson, Sonko. I want to say to all my fellow City fans: THIS IS OUR SEASON. COME ON COPPELLO LETS DO IT!!

To the MUFC fan who posted this:

Everyone needs to stop talking rubbish about MUFC Being in 800 million debt because if you were a true football fan you would clearly know that we cleared off 500 mil debt all together over the past 2years. And also it is a stated fact that MUFC Are the most valuable club in the world and have the biggest fanbase and one more thing is that RealMadrid Are In 400 mil debt and no–one is worrying about them so just save it for your mates at school okay.

Now Onto true rumours!

Lloris/De Gea, Modric/Gourcuff, Silva/Di Maria, Higuain/Benzema, D.Bent With some ypungerscoming in e.g Neymar, Rodell, Dodo, Vermajil and maybe more Are All MUFC bound With Afew Other Players Also Linked such As Fabiano milner podolski M And L Diarra Kaka And Some Others some Other NamesBeing Mentioned!

This Is All True So Remember ypu Heard It first From MR.MUFC

Just a couple of points..

Man United have certainly cleared £500m of their bank debts – by moving them to the bonds, that is NOT clearing debts its just moving them about..
As for Real Madrid, if you knew anything about football finance you would know that they are backed by the spanish banks, it's complicated but basically they are associated with the spanish royal family so the banks cannot refuse to lend them cash!

Now the Neymar rumour, yes he's a very talented brazilian but I'm sorry but your neighbours at City have first refusal on him – there have been quite a few "rumours" posted about Neymar to various clubs but City have a first refusal deal on place with his club Santos as part of the Robinho loan deal. This is public knowledge and has been confirmed by Santos themselves before anyone starts!

This leads me onto another rumour – Barca are apparently interested in Neymar, but they are well aware of the City deal in place, so they want City to waive 1st refusal on him as part of the Ibra to City deal that has been rumoured..

Arsenal fans fully expect Fabregas to stay for one more season at least, if not more. it will be interesting how he performs at the WC, especially because the guy who usually keeps him out of the team(Xavi) is struggling with injury. this could be the year Fabregas' valuation rockets.
the most obvious replacement for him is Bordeaux midfielder Joann Gourcuff, who would cost about £20m.

wenger has also narrowed his options at CB to: Zapata Mertesacker Diakhate and Cahill.
Yaya Toure is top of his midfield wishlist and it looks like it might happen after all.
Chamakh deal will announced after the Champions' League final.

so in: CB(upto 15m), Yaya Toure(15m), Chamakh(free).
out: Silvestre, Gallas, Senderos, Merida, Traore(3m), Randall(1m).

Have just had an inside source that ARSENAL FC will announce on FRIDAY 2 New Signingins

GIGI BUFFON–14million(6million cash and 7million owed from Mr viera deal
EDEN DZEKO–24million–(eduardo and 16million Cash)

Watch this space

i cannot believe no on ehas picked upon this your a blatant idiot if u do not realise that veira was sold to inter milan not juventus who buffon plays for you plank !! how can u possbly be an arsenal fan and im a liverpool fan n even i know tht"

Serious, I can't believe no one has picked on the fact that 6 million plus 7 million doesn't equal 14 million? And Veira was sold by Arsenal for Juve after the "Invincibles" season, he was sold on to Inter when Juve were relegated to Serie B for the match fixing scandal. You're a Liverpool fan, so you can be forgiven for not knowing that.

Arsenal Rumours:

Edin Dzeko? I'm an Arsenal fan, I can't see this happening, Wenger decided not to buy him last summer off the back of a season when Dzeko and Grafite were on fire for Wolfsburg. So this summer on the back of an average season..24 million..Wenger? No chance.

Gigi Buffon? This seems to be gathering pace rapidly, I bite my own arm to see a world class keeper at Arsenal, would prefer to see Joe Hart though, especially as the wages for Gigi could upset the dressing room.

Wenger will buy a CB or 2. People on this site keep on going on about Subotic..no chance. Arsenal will be way out–priced by the likes of Chelsea who would be looking to replace Carvalhio. Palermo didn't qualify for the Champions league so Simon Kjær will be on the move. Gary Cahill would be awesome, and Wenger could strike up a deal with Owen Coyle, regarding Wilshire going on loan for another season. Sagna is getting on a bit in Arsenal team terms (27 years?) and he cannot cross the ball to save his life at times. If Wenger is going to invest in height (Chamakh, Taller CBs etc) they are going to need service. Sagna could depart (no clue where) with Gregory van der Weil coming in.

Strikers: I could dream and say things like Luis Suarez (Ajax), Dzeko (wolfsburg), Bojan (FCB), Torres (Liverpool) but I'd be talking a load of pie in the sky tripe like a lot of people on this site. I read yesterday that Wenger may try to use the unrest at AC Milan caused by the sacking of Leonardo, to try and sign Huntelaar on the cheap. This would be great for Arsenal, Wenger has been a fan for ages but always been out–priced. He's been rubbish this season, prefect time to buy. Price could be around 10 million.

Midfielders: I don't think there will be much movement here, unless Gooners' worse nightmare happens and Fabregas departs. He will leave eventually, but not this season (fingers crossed). Expect to see Denilson or Diaby to leave, if another DCM coming in, perhaps Yaya Toure. I'd prefer not to do any business with Barca because this could give them a bargaining chip in the future (cough cough Cesc.) I'd like to see Jeremy Toulalan coming in. Eden Hazard..doubtful this summer, maybe in january if Arshavin decides he wants out.

Summary:
INS
Gigi Buffon (Juve) approx 12 million (Veira debt cleared plus cash)
Simon Kjær (Palermo) 10 million
Gary Cahill (Bolton) 10 million plus Wilshere on loan on another season
Gregory van der Weil (Ajax) 12 million
Toulalan (Olympique Lyonias) 12 million
Huntelaar (Milan) 10 million

OUTS
Silvestre (free agent)
Gallas (free agent)
Senderos (free agent)
Eduardo 9 million (depends on other transfers, Bundesliga perhaps with Gomez, Olic, Dzeko are going to be on the move)
Sagna 14 million (La Liga or Serie A)
Traore 2 million (PSG)
Fabianski 2 million (anywhere but Arsenal)

Firstly, this used to be a great site, full of real rumours from real football fans – not foul mouthed 'followers' who have nothing better to do, so please, if what you have to say is not based in some way on a whisper / rumour, as opposed to your desire to annoy someone, go away and continue to play with yourself !

Rant over – now down to some facts – I am a Liverpool fan, and my father is a good friend of an ageing Anfield legend who, does not pretend he knows everything, but speaks regularly with people at the club and has heard the following–

LFC have been sold and thoses in the know are very excited by the buyer(s) – Apparently, they are not any of the expected parties, but a wealthy consortium of real football lovers, who want to give the pool a world class stadium and team.

Funds will made available to stengthen, approx £30m per season, but in addition, and funds raised by transfers out and 'prize' money will also be available, so, the better the team do, the more funds the manager will have.

The manager will be Rafa, and he will be given a min of 2 more seasons to prove his worth.

One 'mega' signing will be made, and this WILL be Kaka, who will be signed for £10m plus Gerrard, who has expresssed a desire to leave.

In addition – J Cole confirmed ''''

Mate this is absolute bollocks. I dunno about J. Cole, and Gerrard wanting to leave may be true, but haha Liverpool are signing Kaka? You must be off your rocker. Don't post, unless you have something of value to say, that has some truth behind it.

Anyways, onto some real LFC Transfer rumours

1.7m – Shelvey – confirmed
Bosman – Jovanovic– confirmed
3m – Wilson– Almost there

N'Zogbia
Jesus Navas ( this one very unlikely as he suffers from chronic homesickness)
Arda Turan
Ever Banega
Mesut Ozil
Roman Pavlyuchenko
Carlton Cole
Dida

These are some genuine rumours floating around. FACT! {editor's note – I thought the Kaka rumour was the funniest thing I have read in ages! Let's face it if Rafa did sign Kaka he would probably play him at left back anyway.}

Strong rumours now coming out of Manchester Utd are that promising youngster David Wilson has just turned down the chance of joining PNE on a 6 month loan due to the cash crisis at the club and interest from an unamed League one club in the north west. Alex Ferguson has indicated that Wilson is one for the future and should get as much footballing experience as possible in the next 12 months.

As a life long Man United fan (from Manchester unlike some glory hunters), i find it highly amusing seeing some disalusioned fans linking us with 4 or 5 players all in the £20+ million bracket, as lots of bitter rival fans like to point out we are in debt to the tune of roughly £600 million, (give or take £100 mill) however we were in debt last summer when we offered £25 million for Benzema, we were also in debt when the club finally agreed to pay £30 million for Tevez to MSI all be it to late as he was already in talks with a certain bitter blue team, we were also in debt when we agreed to sign Smalling for £10 million in January and we were in debt when we signed Hernandez for £8 million a couple of weeks ago, the point being the Glaziers are pocketing a cool £10 million yearly for doing nothing, they have recently refinanced the debt with the Bond issue, making the repayments smaller and easier to manage, this means that less money from the clubs revenue (biggest in world football by the way) goes to paying debts and adds to the transfer pot, they know the only way to get fans on there side (because they are NOT selling) is to make money available for signings, So although there won't be 5 players coming in for £25 million each, don't be to surprised if the total outlay this summer including the Smalling and Hernandez deals is in the region of £50–60 million, for you scousers that can't count past the fingers on your hands that's £60 million less £18 million spent, leaves roughly £42 million on 2 maybe 3 players, however if rumours are to be believed we may be getting a French Real madrid player on a 12 month loan with a view to a permanant deal, so the total spend may go down.
Players linked to United by the gutter press (sun/Star/Mirror) expect one from this list to join and a surprise to everyone.

Benzema Loan/£25 million
Suarez £20 million
Dzeko £25 million
Defour £15 million
Subotic £15 million
Gourcuff £18 million
Funes Mori £8 million
Di Maria swap + £10 million
Hamsek £20 million
Milner £20 million
Ben Arfa £10 million
Lloris £15 million
Mandana £10 million

Koren has gone. Good player but not a team man. RDM has to do the right thing and get more home grown. He will use the loan system more than the baggies fans want. Two definate signings though will be Shorey and Beattie from Stoke. not my choice but will happen. Look for shock new investment as well, may surprise Villa fans.

Love all Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal fans, very amusing how you are all pretending to support the other team. Be kind to use with the 100 million you spend on players next season..

BARNSLEY F.C.
Barnsley are trying to complete the signing of Chris Morgan of Sheffield Utd to play along side Jason Shackell in the back 4 with Foster moving to full back with the old stalwart Hassell.
Dickinson and Shotton are to stop at Stoke.

Asido.

Sorry Scouser, but Vieira went from us to Juve 2005–2006. Then from Juve to Inter 2006–10.
I'm not totally convinced that Mr. Wenger will pay £6–10 Million for a keeper asides. But we live in hope. Can we have Riera please ?? We can pay cash for him.
It amazes me how many people come onto this site, only to quote the red–top newspapers. We already read them..on–line.
By the way Scouser. Get well soon. Seems the Premiership is weaker without your might.

ARSENAL TRANSFER RUMOUR:

Wenger is deciding between Yaya Toure and Gourcoff. If he signs a solid defender like Chiellini or Mertesacker, he will probably sign Gourcoff, but if we end up with a inexperienced defender like Sakho as a first choice we will probably sign Yaya!

THIS IS A GOOD SOURCE. TRUST ME

Also Fabregas would only go to Barca! Barca would offer £5M + Ibrahimovic and Yaya to land him, or Bojan, Yaya and £20M. They are very good offers and solve a few problems. Gourcoff is the only obvious replacement, Arteta (27) doesn't have enough years to become a player like Fabregas, whereas Gourcoff is the same age as Fabregas and nearly as good as him

17 May 2010 21:12:16
Chelsea rumours:
Chelsea are not needing a keeper yet but Igor Akinfeev is being touted to come in for Cech who is Italian bound. Akinfeev will become number one with delac number 2 and turnbull number 3
Chelsea have struggled on the right side of the pitch; Carlo is assessing Bosingwa and looking at bringing in Phillip Lahm who can play both sides, and allow Ivanovic a more central role.
With Angel di Maria/ Ribberybeing Barca/Real bound Chelsea might get lucky with a bid; if not Andrey Arshavin, Aaron Lennon or VDV will come in
With Lampard getting close to hanging his boots up (within 2–3 years) Bastian Schweinsteiger, Modric, and a possible move for Danny Miguel are being touted to move in.
Aguero has already agreed to sign in the summer, and a possible move for Gonzalo Higuain to partner him up front. Carlo wants Torres but the price tag is too much for him.

Atleast one player from each group will be moving to Chelsea in the summer, along with a few extra youth sigings

Neymar da Silva, Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jones are expected to be spoked to (if permission is granted)

If Jose leaves Inter for Real, he is not going for Lampard he wants Drogba, which could be part of a deal to bring in Higuain. Ashley Cole will be staying although a big bid might tempt chelsea to sell with zhirkov and van van aanholt perfect cover.
Joe Cole (host of clubs), Ballack (back to germany), Paulo Ferreira(lower premiership/portugal), Juliano Belletti, Anelka (liverpool), and a few youth players
are expected to leave
4–5 players expected to come in with some youth

Andy

The reason nobody picked him up on it is because Vieira was sold to Juventus. Inter then bought him from Juventus after the Italian match fixing scandal. So it's you who is the plank. What a mug.

As for original post where did you hear the rumour? Also you need to check your maths 6+7=13 not 14. I head that Eduardo will go to Lyon for 8m. With Chamakh being the only forward signing. Yaya Toure will be signed for £15m. Cesc will decide to stay for one more season and try and give Wenger a title before he leaves. GK and defender also being targeted but currently the targets are unclear after complications with a deal for Joe Hart forced Arsenal to re–evaluate their options.

17 May 2010 21:04:24
Just read the rumour re Joe Cole to Man Utd – Never going to happen – Cole is not a bright lad, but he has already been made aware by an number of Chealsea's representitives, that they are extemely unhappy with him running down his contact and leaving for 'free'.

This has cost the club c£15m in transfer fees and they have therefore insisted that certain clubs are off limits for him to sign with – His agent is very much connected with the club, therefore he has also been 'pushed' in certain directions ! – His only option – Liverpool – Not considered an immediate threat, not local and no Man Utd

Whoever wrote the above, the guys out of contract, he can talk to anyone he wants to, Chelsea can't insist on anything, they had an opportunity to offer him a new contract and chose not too presumably because they wanted to see how he recovered from injury problems
So he will go wherever he wants to he has the choice of going where he likes

Erm no you are wrong, he was sold to Juve then sold on to Inter, perhaps some research before slagging the guy off!

It is common knowledge that money is owed from the original transfer plus interest so the Buffon story makes sense but i think AFC will be as quiet as usual this summer unfortunately and that is coming from a gooner

Whoever wrote this Vieira went to Juve first although that was for £18 mill in 2005, the chance of them still owing Arsenal £7 mill 5 years later and after they have sold the player on seems highly unlikely though, as does the chance of Wolfsburg valuing Eduardo at £11 mill. Pre injury maybe, maybe more, but he's not looked the same player since

Man utd fan, but wud jus like to clear up some wild rumours flying around,

villa=Barca 100%
buffon=man city 100%
Gerrard=real madrid 100%

these are the only ones i know that are guarenteed to happen but hazard to arsenal, silva to united and aguero to chelsea all look likely.

Sum1 said earlier that he saw 3 people going into the emirates stadium
and its just a bit ironic how chamakh is now in london discussing terms
maybe who ever it was saw the 3 mens was telling the truth
which means that buffon is looking likely as he said 2 people who looked italian which could be any1 else that's italian maybe chiellini
but chamakh and buffon are looking likely
who was it that said they saw them??

McGhee is trying to sign the following players:

Kevin Kyle

He also is attempting to bring in at least 3 new defenders with lower leagues on England being the market he is looking.

Expect bids for Diamond and possibly Langfield depending if McGregor leaves Rangers.

In addition – J Cole confirmed

you heard it here first

If the rumours on this page are anything to go by then man united are signing at least 10 x 15mil signings and I think eveyone knows that won't happen! While there is debt at united there will be money to spend but it won't be anywhere near the amount being mentioned on here.firstly a goalkeeper won't be signed this summer as vds will be number 1 next season with kuszczak and amos as back up.smalling has already been signed to add to the defence so don't expect any other defenders added unless vidic goes.fergie needs more creativity in midfield and more attacking options so expect a big money move for 1 or 2 from defour, modric, jovetic
, Cole or silva.can't see milner coming as he would cost 20mil + and isn't too different from what we already have.another striker may be signed as owen has had injury problems and hernandez will need time to find his feet leaving only berbatov to support rooney with fergie looking at suarez, dzeko
, Podolski and luis fabiano.don't expect a mass clearout either like has been predicted on here, foster
, Tosic will go
with maybe carrick too if the deal is right along with the likes of fabio, diouf, obertan going on loan

17 May 2010 19:40:28
I agree with whomever said that Irvine will send us back up: Chaplow, Nolan, Sedgwick, Mellor will be great signings – I'd also like Parkin, but I can't see it somehow.

I've always rated Carter.. do North End fans not like him?

17 May 2010 19:29:27
Buffon
Sagna Chielini Vermaelen Clichy
Toure
Gourcuff Arteta/Diaby
Nasri VanPersie Arshavin

Buffon £10million because of money owed to us from Viera.
Chielini £15million to replace Gallas.
Arteta £10million to partner Gourcuff to replace Fabregas
Gourcuff £17.5million to replace Fabregas.
Yaya Toure + £35million as a exchange for Fabregas
Sakho £5million + Traore for cover.
Arteta (Mayb)
Gallas, Senderos, Almunia, Traore, Out. Eduardo(mayb).

17 May 2010 19:30:35
Arsenal should just about be able to keep Fabregas for this season, but will probably leave next season. He would be worth a bit more next season, and Ramsey would be ready to play the Fabregas role. Yaya Toure will sign this season for £14M and Fabregas will go next season for a fee of around £40M + Bojan.

Hazard could sign a pre – deal worth around £18M in total. Arshavin will almost certinaly leave next season, due to his age and attitude, as he will be turning 30 he in 2011 he will be desperate for a move to Barca and will probably talk himself out of Arsenal. Hazard will then replace him.

At CB two players who would really fit the bill is either Pape Diakhate or Per Mertesacker. Neven Subotic will also be good but would be way too expensive. Diakhate was bought up in Ukraine, which is a very physical league. Mertesacker his huge and would be a very commanding defender when dealing with crosses (something we lacked!).

With Chamakh, and possibly Bojan next summer, we would have quite alot of player competing for a few places. We would stick to 4–3–3, with Nasri, Van Persie and Arshavin as the attackers. Chamakh would come on for pretty much every game, and if Nasri or Arshavin get injured, Van Persie would move to the right and Chamakh would play through the middle.

In 2011/2012, when Fabregas leaves, we would change to a 4–2–3–1 style with Song and Yaya as defensive midfielders, Nasri, Ramsey and Hazard with Van Persie up front.

In Goal we will sign despite Wenger saying he has faith, but he is trying not to upset Almunia and Fabianski. Buffon will be signed for £8M and we clear the Vieira debt.

17 May 2010 19:27:38
BREAKING GUNNERS NEWS !
since the manager of fc bordeoux is leaving alot of the players also think its time to move on !
yoann gourcuff is one of these players and he wants to play with his boyhood freind chamakh again at arsenal and wenger is set to buy him out of his contract clause for 18mil. just seen this on a sports channel, this could possibly mean the departure of fabregas or maybe just diaby. however if fabregas does leave it would be to man city since barca only want to bid 40mil and man city's chairman alredy said he will bid 50 in the summer thus outbidding them and real madrid need a replacment for guti, mourinho has always been a big fan and he even made a insurance policy for his club for fabregas !
if cesc does decide he wants to leave it would be for inter or man city.
mikel arteta is also a player wenger is eyeing up.

Martin Broughton was not brought in to be the chairman of Liverpool by the club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, but by Barclays Capital at the behest of Liverpool's current lending banks, the Royal Bank of Scotland and Wachovia, the US bank, have demanded a £100m payment by July.
The club's investment banking advisers, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Rothschild, have so far failed to find buyers for the club, despite numerous attempts to raise interest.
Rafael Benítez met the Liverpool chairman, Martin Broughton, for the first time on the 6th May at a meeting in London. The manager was concerned over a number of matters relating to the financial position of the club and the strengthening of the squad.
Benítez also had concerns that his squad would not be big enough to cope with the demands of playing 60 matches if they were to mount a challenge in the UEFA Europa League and maintain momentum in the domestic English competitions.
It was also discussed that a number of the current 1st team squad could be on international duty for their countries only 2 weeks before the qualifying stages of the Europa League commences.
Broughton explained to Benítez that his position was not under threat but cuts would have to be made as a substantial amount of money had to be paid off to one of the major lenders in July. Leading players did not have to be sold but around £100m needed to be raised.
Broughton also explained to Benítez the situation regarding the sale of the club and the amount of debt which was approaching £250m the owners other company which is linked to Liverpool FC Kop Football Limited's (KFL) current debt level is £350m therefore the owners are looking to sell the club to clear there debts of £600m but also trying to make a profit. It is needless to say that Broughton was having trouble in negotiating with the two interested parties that have shown an interest in becoming the new owners.

Broughton is at Liverpool FC to get the best deal for the banks not the owners or the club. He has little interest in football as horse racing is his main passion. Fernando Torres agent, Margarita Garay and Struan Marshall – Steven Gerrard's agent have been informed that a sale could be made at the right price for the benefit of the club and their client.
Since this meeting I have also been told that Javier Mascherano's agent, Walter Tamer has also been informed of interest in his client.
On a note of optimism Liverpool FC shirts are the best selling worldwide football shirts for Adidas, even better than Real Madrid. Liverpool is a phenomenal brand and has global support. The potential for the club / company would be huge but massive reinvestment is required very quickly.

I am a liverpool supporter and would love it (really love it) if you were right, however as far as I know (and I have lots of contacts in both Doha and Dubia) QIA is not interested in Liverpool (and lost interest in any EPL club after they were turned down by United and Everton before that) The only investment they looking for the in the UK now that the Harrods deal is completed is a 10% stake in Sainsbury apart from that on the European front they are looking to increase their stake in EADS trying to save it ..
Sorry 007 again I hope you are right.

Some serious Arsenal news.

Arsenal are in negotiations with Juve over buffon coming to Arsenal. Sagna will be used in a swap deal with no money involved as Juve put a bid in for Sagna and Arsenal value Buffon around the same amount. Its said to be around 15m. They bought Sagna for 13m so i suppose that price could be right. Sagna is keen on the move but the only thing holding it up is Buffons wage.
If Fabregas leaves Arsenal will recruit 35million plus Yaya Toure and they will also but Gourcuff as he is disappionted ast Bordeauxs season and Blanc quiting as manager.
Micah Richards will be signed for around 6 million as he can cover 2 positions. With Gallas leaving Arsene will sign Mexes or Subotic but that will be the transfer he will want to get through before the world cup because Subotics price could go ridiculously high.
Eden Hazard could also be signed but he has said he would like to play champions league football with Lille. The other winger being touted to join Arsenal is Hatem Ben Arfa also of Marseille but they could be priced out but United if they fail to get Di Maria.

Another Doncaster rumour.

Sean O'Driscoll has apparently also offered a trial to 19 year old Adam Gelder who plays in the same team as rumored target, striker Chris Donald. The young attacking midfielder is seen as a good prosect for the future after scoring 20 goals and gaining 35 assists this season.

17 May 2010 18:39:34
Dont know that I completely believe this but regarding:

"A lot of noise coming from Turkish media that Spurs are going to sign Arda Turan, many even saying a fee is agreed. Around 9m euros is the speculated fee, which may see Gio Dos Santos go the other way. Lots of interest for him, but Spurs are hoping an early offer will seal it."

Arda Turan is an attacking midfielder–cum–left winger.

So can we therefore suppose he's replacing a Man U bound Luka Modric?

It looks like have Liverpool have unfortunatley lost the battle to sign Joe Cole to Manchester United as they are not willing to meet his demands of a £1million signing fee and wages of £90,000 a week however they are brining in some quality additions this summer, deals for Jonjo Shelvey, Milan Jovanovic and Danny Wilson are all pretty much done, disscussions have already been opened for Wayne Hennessy, Carlton Cole, Gary Cahill and Rafael van der Vaart, while Rafael Benitez is also targeting Jesus Navas, Aleksandar Kolarov and Charles N'Zogbia, he is keen to keep Javier Mascherano but if the player decides he want to leave and a bid of around £35million comes in then he will look to Valencias Ever Banega to replace him.Players leaving are Fabio Aurelio, Phillipe Degen, Diego Cavalieri, Charles Itandje, David Marin, Nabil El Zhar, Robbie Threlfall, Sotiris Krygiakos, Albert Riera, Damien Plessis, Mikel San Jose, Ryan Babel and Yossi Benayoun are all expected to be shown the exit door , if Rafa gets his targets hopefully this will be the starting XI 4–1–4–1 Reina–Johnson–Cahill–Agger–Kolarov–Masccherano–Navas–Gerrard–Aquilani–van der Vaart–Torres and in reserve we would have cover with players like Kuyt, N'Zogbia, Rodriguez, Lucas, C.Cole, Carragher, Insua, Skrtel, Hennessey, Jovanovic, Bouzanis, Shelvey , Wilson, Pacheco, Spearing and Kelly, I expect N'gog, Dalle Valle, Darby, Gulasci, Amoo, Irwin and Ayala all to go out on loan.

17 May 2010 18:32:18
Marouane Chamakh is currently in London to discuss personal terms with Arsenal, it has been confirmed on Sky Sports News. Everyone knows that he will 95% surely sign for Arsenal on a Bosman, meaning everything will be confirmed next week but I doubt it will be publicly announced until June because that is when his contract is up with Bordeaux.

Also to the person who said they had 'Mr Matina' in their cab in London. Confirmation that he is the agent of Buffon and is very good friends with Edin Dzeko's father 'Mito', this is confirmed on Goal.com. So I am not going to comment on if he is Dzeko's agent, but if he is, I doubt he will have been to talk to Arsenal about Dzeko, more likely Spurs, but I would not be surprised if he had been to speak to Arsenal about Buffon. Silvano Martina is also an 'ex–Italian' Goalkeeper who played for Inter at the beginning of his carreer, and the state Juventus are in, he may want his client to go to England.

On the other hand, all this could be total and utter rubbish if the guy who claimed to have seen Martina be lying and just being smart, meaning he was aware of who he was and is just making up crafty rumours to get people excited.

I live in Dubai and was in a large beach side hotel at the weekend. I spent a few minutes chatting with a well known ex footballer who spent sometime at Newcastle more recently and is still clearly connected. He was guesting on local Premier League tv programme and stayed a few extra days. Amongst many snippets, he mentioned to me that 2 Newcastle United players were having negotiations to go to Norwich. They are Andy Carroll and Leon Best (who I didn't even know was with Newcastle).
Must stress that I don't normally post on these types of web sites, but this came from a decent source I feel.

A bit of transfer news from Doncaster Rovers.

19 year old Chris Donald has impressed in local level football where Sean O'Driscoll keeps an eye after successful friendlies against the likes of Armthorpe. He scored 54 goals for his team last year in the Doncaster leagues and will be awarded a trial.

Also, SOD is to consider a surprise move for Chicago Fire player Chris Rolfe who wants to play in English football.

Billy Sharp and Chris Brown also targets and Leo Fortune West is set to return as forwards coach.

I work for a well known Sports Management Agency and the following are facts though not all are guaranteed to happen due to the unpredictability of the business.

Stuart Pearce is Coventrys first choice for manager, however would have to wait till after the World Cup to appoint him.
Liverpool have offered Joe Cole £120,000 a week though he favours a move to Spurs.
Man Utd have enquired about Benzema on loan for 12months with view to buy.

Arsenal Breaking News

IN RESPONSE TO:
"17 May 2010 14:32:23
Arsene Wenger is close to completing the signing of Marouanne Chamakh, the deal was offered to Chamakh before the close of the premier league season giving him time to think about other offers , though Wenger has stated he expects confirmation one way or the other before the world cup tournament begins. He does no wish to be paying an inflated price for a player on the back of a few good world cup performances."

Firstly I assume you mean he doesn't wish to pay inflated wages in this circumstance; however this is still wrong as Chamakh is Moroccan and Morocco didn't qualify for the World Cup.

Wenger made this statement prior to him drawing up a list of targets; the first 2 on the list; G Cahill (not called up) and J Hart (no.3 gk) aren't going to play in the World Cup so Wenger's previous statement is no longer valid. If Arsene signs players early this summer it will be because of luxury not necessity.

That is a load of rubbish as firstly, the players carpark at the Emirates is under the ground so you wouldn't be able to see this from the road and secondly they would be taken to Arsenals London Colney training ground and not the stadium!

Liverpool Transfer News..

No 'budget' has been given to Rafa but this is normal as very few clubs say to a manager you have X amount of money to spend. Rafa has however been guarateed ALL money from sales of players, though the money for Voronin, Mihaylov and Dossena is unavailable as it has already 'disappeared'.

Mascherano is definately leaving as his family are unhappy on Merseyside. Spain will be the destination and no prizes for guessing the two clubs showing interest. Rafa has set a price of £32million for the sale and both clubs are likely to match this price.

Albert Riera is another certainty to leave the club, again heading to Spain. £6m is the price and there are likely to be a few clubs interested in him.

Other players on the way out are:
Philipp Degen for a minimal fee (~£1m)
Yossi Benayoun who is unsettled at the club (£8m)
Diego Cavalieri who has had personal issues (£3m)
Martin Skrtel who wants to move to Italy (8m)
Ryan Babel who has been on borrowed time for the last two transfer windows (£9m)
Damien Plessis, Nabil El Zhar, Mikel San Jose who are all surplus to requirements and should fetch £6m between them.

This gives Rafa approximately £73million to invest this summer, plus whatever he can muster from the Yanks.

Target positions are:
GK – Wayne Hennessey (£2m), Dida (Free), Adam Federici (£2m)
LB – Aleksandar Kolarov (£12m), Taye Taiwo (£9m), Maxwell (£9m)
CB – Gary Cahill (£12m), James Tompkins (£7m), Danny Wilson (DONE)
CM – Ever Banega (£9.2m), Javi Martinez (£10m), Jonjo Shelvey (DONE), Lassana Diarra (£14m)
AM – Milan Jovanovic (DONE), Charles N'Zogbia (£8m), Rafael Van Der Vaart (£8m), Arda Turan (£12m), Joe Cole (free), Mesut Ozil (£12m)
ST – Carlton Cole (£12m), Roman Pavlyuchenko (£8m), Giampaolo Pazzini (£11m), Steven Fletcher (£5m)

As you can see, there will be no 'superstars' joining the club but expect a few very good players coming in.

As a guess, I think the starting 11 next season will be:

GK – Pepe Reina
LB – Aleksandar Kolarov (£12m)
CB – Daniel Agger
CB – Gary Cahill (£12m)
RB – Glen Johnson
CM – Ever Banega (£9.2m)
CM – Steven Gerrard
LAM – Arda Turan (£12m)
CAM – Alberto Aquilani
RAM – Maxi Rodriguez
ST – Fernando Torres

The bench and squad will then have players suchas
GK – Hennessey (£2m), Hansen
DEF – Kelly, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Insua, Ayala
MID – Lucas, Shelvey, Van Der Vaart (£8m), Jovanovic, N'Zogbia (£8m), Kuyt
ATT – Cole (£12m), Fletcher (£5m), Ngog, Pacheco,

This would give a much improved squad and only a net spend of about £7m.

Man United Linking the Rumours

SAF knows that the best way to get a new player playing to his potential as fast as possible is helping them settle in as fast as possible! This is especially for younger players! He does this by bringing in players who are from the same club, league, country or just are mates already!

e.g Anderson and Nani bought from same league so both were being introduced at the same time this was also shown when bids were put in for both Valencias Villa and Silva at the same time!

SAF seems to be applying that again in this transfer window if rumours are correct!

Ben Arfa, Lloris, Benzema, Gourcuff, Mandanna are all young french players being constantly linked!
Ben Arfa and Benzema both played with Lyon at the same time!
Ben Arfa and Steve Mandanna (25 and Frances 2nd choice Keeper)are both currently with Marseille!
From Everton Arteta, Rodwell and Jagielka have been rumoured!
Silva has been linked again and having a Spanish teammate in Arteta at united aswell would help convince him to join!
From Spurs Bale and Modric!
Argentinian duo in Di Maria and Higuain have been constantly linked!

These links also apply for other clubs to e.g chelsea are looking for the Spurs and Argentinian duos aswell, hope they get squat!

Redman {editor's note – do you not think that Mash's 'wife not being able to speak any English' excuse is wearing a bit thin now? After all they must have been in the country getting on for 4 years now!!}

completely agree, from what I have heaRd from friends of mine at the club last summer she had some "problems" don't really want to say what but it was natural! When it happand she had no1 to talk to and felt very alone. She ended up going back home to live with her family, her dad however lives just outside barce, so when barce asked about masch javier was very excited as it seemed best all round. Liverpool refused to sell him though which on the circumstances seemed very harsh. But media ran with masch no loyalty to lfc which Is bull, hence javier coming out publicly and saying her was staying.
Now he feels it's time to go, Liverpool won't be messed about by barce (which I can't see them doing anyway due to what's going on) so as long as a fair deal can be reached I expect him to leave. His wife has had a very tough time though nearly causing them to split up.
Get what your saying but it's not just about learning English, she's lonely and very low. He should do what's best for his family and any TRUE Liverpool fan will send him their blessing and respect that.

Hope that helps clear things up. Many thanks

redman {editor's note – Cheers for that. To be honest I would have sold him last season anyway, I thought the money would be more use than the player and my opinion hasn't changed. His home life being unhappy just makes it a complete no–brainer.}

And to answer your question 'r u on drugs?' – no, I'm not. If I were on drugs I would be sat slumped and hallucinating in a corner. Which I'm not as I am forming coherent sentences on here.

Just an idiot without drugs then? Sort your head out and get a life.

Now that's out the way expect to see an Italian striker at anfield next season. I know this because his agent and lfcs reps have just finished a meeting in one of the hotels I run. I don't usually get to know the outcome but it's no secret I'm a red so on the way out this players agent informed me it's a done deal!

Very good player without lots of talent. Just to end a few more rumours on here that are boring me..

According to kenny,
rafas staying with 35m plus sales not 15 or 20 as stated on here.

Torres isn't going, he may go to inter next year but has at least one more season at anfield.

Masch may leave for barce as his wife is very unhappy. Can't speak English so has to rely solely on him.

Gerrard Is unlikely to leave he offered to go to raise funds but with 35m in the bag everyone is pretty happy so he's not very likely to leave and would never play for another epl team (so shut up cite^ fans cz your boring everyone to sleep, no1 with any respect would play for you) keep your money, I'd rather have charactor.

Don't believe me if you want, I know what I know and I'm just bored listen to so many ppl on here "swear" things that are 100% false

Navas to Liverpool, some sort of deal involving Benayoun going the other way.

Torres and Gerrard will stay put – Mascherano to either Inter or Barcelona with 8.5 million Ever Banega to Liverpool as a direct replacement.

Benayoun will have the pick of Moscow clubs, Spurs, Villa and Sevilla. Likewise Riera for a nominal fee will move on to Villareal or Moscow.

Smith still wants to come back, always has, but Leeds can't afford him obviously.

Jay DeMerit is available on a free and a contract has been offered to him. Same with Robert Koren.

Jason Roberts seen at TA earlier today, signing confirmed when the transfrer window re–opens.

Tamas Priskin is being lined up if Beckford leaves, offers on table from Everton, Villa and Spurs.

Heidar Helguson will be targeted if any of the above deals fall through, but Leeds will have to be quick – Hull have made an offer – £750k being thrown about as a ball park figure.

17 May 2010 15:20:45
I cannot provide you with any "Real" Rumours on Liverpool Football Club but I will tell you this. Kenny Dalglish and Rafa Benitez are currently working hard on finding both Young and Cheap players to make LFC the club it once was. Jonjo Shelvey, Who we have seen enter the doors of Anfield was the influenced move of Rafa with back up from Kenny. Danny Wilson, Again this was Kenny's Idea.

For all who is posting "BIG" Player rumours don't expect it. The biggest we are currently looking at is at 20Mil, And that is top end. Average price = 8 – 12Mil. All the Staff here are trying to come up with names and get the club going again for the club and for the fans.

I live just round the corner from the villa players and see them regulary on the golf course or out up town. 2 of the current villa team have told me that Liverpool have bid for James Milner and Richard Dunn. Both players have told Martin O'Neil they see Liverpool as a step back in their carear and turned them down, if villa accept the bids they will only leave villa to a team in the top 4.

Unsigned suggested the following departures from Chelsea at 17 May 2010 14:00:33:

"Likely departures: Deco, Ballack, Carvalho"

I think both Deco and Carvalho will indeed leave but am not so sure that Michael Ballack will. I expect that Ballack and Chelsea will agree a new contract at about 60% of the current salary.

I also think that Scott Sinclair will seek first team football elsewhere – he is not going to get it at Chelsea. Matej Delac has already been signed to replace Hilario who I expect to return to Portugal. Belletti, like Deco, will head back to Brazil as his contract is expiring – and he has already said that he wishes to play in 1,000 first class games before he retires. He is currently in the 940s somewhere.

Sharkey.

It won't happen but if u look on wikipedia, the man city team page has steven gerrard n fernando torres featured on it.so does the liverpool too tho!

Stephen Ireland has been taken off Man City's Page as well

r u on drugs?
anyone can edit a wikipedia page !! which means i could put Messi and Ronaldo in the Liverpool team . Wikipedia is not a credible source .

Wikipedia may not be classed as an 'academic' source, and yes, some pages can be edited quite easily but a mistake like that would have been rectified hours ago. Also, The page in question is protected, so that only the designers of the page can edit it. And the page has been linked, which can only be done on a website editing programme.

This may be a mistake on wiki's part, but not somebody else.

And to answer your question 'r u on drugs?' – no, I'm not. If I were on drugs I would be sat slumped and hallucinating in a corner. Which I'm not as I am forming coherent sentences on here.

Any Sheffield Wednesday fans that think Alan Irvine will bring some PNE players should be warned that Darren Carter would be a shocking signing for them, hes not good enough for league 2. However Sedgewick and Chaplow would do well at sheff wed. Mellor and Elliot would also do well. Irvine is a quality manager and i was sad to see him go! Wednesday will bounce straight back up with him in charge

Re the following post:

Moving on (excuse the pun), had a fella in the cab last night, all suited and booted – picked him up from a top hotel in London taking him to a hotel near London City airport. We got chatting, and it turns out he is a agent for quite a few players. I told him I followed Arsenal and did he have any news. All he replied, with a smile, was, by Friday Arsenal will have 2 new players if all goes well.
All I know from his luggage tag was Mr Martina!
Dunno who he represents though, any ideas out there?

Preston will avoid administration, by Hemmings refusing to give any more money until Shaw quits. JP McManus joining the board looks likely and will strengthen us financially in the long run.

Did hear a barmy rumour that Lord Mandelson might try and bid for Blackburn, as he has close friends at Rothschild's bank (who are the clubs bankers/financiers). However, don't read too much into that, more than likely to be bull.

James Constable to either stay with Oxford or move to Swindon if they aren't promoted. My brother works in Chippenham and James has family there. James said he does not want to uproot and move miles away to a new club – he loves where he lives and although he would travel to play for a club he's not moving away from where he lives.

As for the person asking about Def Leppard singing a World Cup song.well I went on their website and nothing about it. However, a visit to their forum revealed all – a tribute band of theirs has done a World Cup song, and they hope to release it with Def Leppard's permission as it uses the tune to Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion).

I've had a listen to it via a link and have to say it's really good – not Three Lions/World In Motion quality but a decent enough effort.

Silvano Martina is the Dzeko's Agent.

Mr Martina is the agent of Gigi Buffon. So what you saying is Buffon is talking to Arsenal?!

Alex Mcleish has made it his top priority to push the Katlego Mphela trasfer through before the World Cup after his brace against Thailand and his eagerness to join Birmingham has made it an easy decision for Mcleish.'

If this is true this could be a decent signing if anyone remembers his freekick against Spain in the confederations cup.

Tshabalabala of Kaiser Chiefs is also being scouted by a number of clubs in Europe and a few PL clubs.

Also Lukas Jutkiewicz said when he was back in Southampton that he's planning on playing in London this season.

Tired of reading the same boring rumours from Liverpool fans. For the last time, you failed to achieve Champions League football and there is no arabian takeover in waiting! Therefore your budget will be somewhere between £15–20m this summer with additional funds available through sales. Benitez will leave for Juventus, so whoever the new manager will be – won't be Hughes (Utd connections), Hodgson (happy to stay at Fulham) or O'Neill (committed to Villa) – will have to be on the lookout for free transfers and bargains. However, free transfers do not include JOE COLE! Cole will not be leaving London (where he has lived all his life). If a deal cannot be reached with Chelsea then Spurs are his preferred destination (Redknapp connection). All talk of James Milner or Ashley Young joining is laughable. Both players would cost at least £20m and personal terms (wages, bonuses etc) would be out of liverpool's current financial means. Same applies for Juan Mata. There is a chance that Arda Turan will sign though as part of an exchange for Ryan Babel (Galatasaray). I know you scousers are always posting stuff on here, but could you at least be realistic given your current financial and managerial predicament! It'll stop the rest of us laughing and ridiculing you at least.

LFC Rumours.
Although id love to see Jesus Navas at Anfield, i can't see it happening any time soon the lad suffers from chronic home sickness. Another quite popular rumour circulating is that of Joe Cole(free) opting for Liverpool's contract offer, and with our interest in Arda Turan dying this could all be so. Milan Jovanovic(free), Danny Wilson(2.4m) & Jonjo Shelvey(1.7m) have all agreed terms. Kasper Schmeichel(free) & Wayne Hennessey(2.5m) have both been proposed as replacements for the outgoing No.2 Diego Cavalieri. A replacement for Albert Riera is being lined up with Juan Mata looking the likliest, and finally a successor to Fabio Aurelio with Aleksandar Kolorov & Taye Taiwo looking the favourites.

Steven gerrard lives in freshfield, formby. Not Liverpool.

On a rumour note, west ham to sign yak from everton to replace cole who is likely to go to liverpool/villa/birmingham, with this money everton are going to attempt to sign Bellamy in a suprise move. He will be part of everyone new attack with kris boyd (free) and beckford (free) Saha may go to PSG or a turkish outfit and everton also look to find a new centre back to replace distan. Rodwell arteta and jags are going nowhere and pienaar is 50/50

17 May 2010 13:41:47
Whilst Simon Grayson has been told by Ken Bates that there is money to spend, they are still keen to snap up any free agents that they feel will improve the squad. A RB and a LB are thought to a top priority with Liam Rosenior and Jay McEveley seen as good targets for no money. Nick Montgomery and Chris Morgan look to be done deals from Sheff United, with Jamie Ward (£500,000) possibly completing a triple swoop from their South Yorkshire rivals. Michael Doyle looks a certainty to make his loan move to the club permanent, whilst SG is also looking at bringing Shane Lowry back on a bosman after his loan spell from Aston Villa earned him a place in the Aussie World Cup squad. Sanchez Watt is also a possibility to return for a season long loan from Arsenal. England Under–19 winger Matt Phillips is close to completing a move to PNE from Wycombe, but Leeds are monitoring it closely. In terms of a replacement for Jermaine Beckford, who is highly likely to leave for Everton on a free, the two main contenders look to be Billy Sharp from Sheffield United for around £1.5M or Gary Hooper from Scthorpe United for around £1M after their manager Nigel Adkins admitted that if they were to receive a bid in this region then he would not stand in Hooper's way.

I understand that Bordeaux have, this morning, made it clear that if Yoann Gourcuff wishes to leave the club he will need to submit a transfer request and that the club would be seeking a record fee for the player – this I take to be a record fee for a transfer in France. This move may be to just ward off Lyon, who have been making overtures for Gourcuff or possibly to alert others to the potential availability of the player – albeit at a cost.

Just speculation, but I think Bordeaux would ideally like to keep the player for another year – although that is looking like it may not be possible. No doubt a number of clubs other than Lyon would be interested in the player, but perhaps not in England. My understanding is that Manchester United still have Stephen Defour as their preferred target. A year down the road and I think Chelsea would be looking at the player, but this summer they may not be interested. Arsenal may well see the player as an ideal solution if Fabregas were to leave – but again I think that may be next summer. I doubt that any other club would provide an attactive enough option for the player. Sharkey.

Major shake–up underway at Easter Road.

Stokes and Riordan to Parkhead for 1.5 mil.

hahah you have to be joking. Riordan wouldn't go back to celtic after last time and we would only take 1.5 million for riordan alone. Stokes won't be going anywhere as he loves working under john hughes and is staying for next season. Hibs are looking to sign Garry O'Connor back and are looking at several defensive options from many different clubs.

Now im not sure how accurate wikipedia is with lets say 'future transfers' but Manchester City's squad on it features Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres. If this is nothing to go off please let me know cheers.

I did check, but i don't know why, They are in the list but wiki can be updated by anyone, Im lead to believe that this is the case because Gerrard and Torres would not be given number 48 and 52.
If someone from Man city had update this page to displays these two, Then surely they'd have every other superstar than man city are likely to bid on this summer

Big news coming from the Barnsley boardroom, Barnsley Chairman Patrick Cryne has had a major fallout with manager Mark robins over the recent transfer of Jason Shackell, apparently Barnsley`s wage structure has been shattered by this signing and other players are unhappy. robins has been put on gardening leave by Cryne and it seems likely there will be a parting of the ways with Robins resenting boardroom interference

Basically what has happened, some delusional tsser has gone on there and added Torres and Gerrard to the list because he thinks that his team have a chance of signing them. What he doesn't realise is that bigger and better teams are after them and that there is no way they will move to a bunch of dreamers like City, who don't even have Champions League. Fact apart from finance, City are still a small club and are certainly smaller than Liverpool FC. Contrary to belief, Stevie and Torres still belong to LIVERPOOL FC and if the misinformed idiot checks the OFFICIAL Liverpool website, he will see that they are in the Liverpool squad – where they belong. Hope that clears it up for you. Conclusion = Wiki – Breeding ground for unfounded bullsht.

Manchester United do have money to spend.

The recent bond issue has made the debts a lot more manageable. The new sponsership deals will go to debt service, but the Ronaldo money and yearly transfer budget are still there.

Despite this SAF won't be spending £150M like reported by some people, nor will he be selling Rooney etc to pay the debt.

Berbatov, Carrick, Tosic, Foster, Brown, and Possebon will be sold generating around £40M.

Silva will come for £25M. Higuain or Suarez will also come for £20–£30M. If Vidic goes to Real, Kaka will come on loan with an option to buy. Defour will come in for £10M

All these rumours regarding arsenal are a joke!
Everyone knows that Chamakh will sign at the end of his contract & then i predict AW will only sign 2 more players.
A CB is 100% cert but who it will be is anybodies guess as AW would not reveal his targets coz he never does to avoid any bidding war. The other addition to the squad will be a holding CM as Song cannot be relied on all season & Eastmond is still inexperienced.
Youngsters such as Nordtveit, Pedro, Wellington, Galindo & Lansbury will during the course of the season be used as substitiutes but playing time will be limited.
Bartley, Emmanuel–Thomas, Hoyte, Watt, Barazite, Sunu, Sczhzsny, Ayling & Murphy will more than likely be loaned out.
Expect Randall, Simpson, Gilbert, Senderos, Silvestre, Merida, Gallas to leave.
Would have thought that Campbell will sign a new 1 year deal as cover.
Vela im guessing will stay but may be used as a potential deal 4 another player such as signing a player & sending him out on a LOAN deal but not perminant same as Wilshere.
Eduardo will stay as is very good squad player & Fabregas will stay for another year as AW won't let him leave yet & when he does go i expect a swap where we take a player 2 stop the gap in mid

"I will give everything careful consideration and hopefully can reach a decision during the next three weeks."

Major shake–up underway at Easter Road.

Stokes and Riordan to Parkhead for 1.5 mil. The cash received ring–fenced to pay for the return of Gary O'Connor, who will sign a 2 year, much reduced, contract in July. Gary hopes to impress the old firm in front of goal and move to either half when either Rangers or Celtic can afford him.

Nish is off to Barnsley while Hogg is a target for Colchester, who missed out on promotion to the Championship last time round. Bamba is heading back to France while the positive noises about Zemmama are designed to stem the decline in season ticket sales – he won't be back at Hibs and probably won't play at that level again due to the severity of his knee injuries.

New faces being pursued include Carlisle defender and Lincoln City duo Stefan Oakes and Ricky Butcher, while Peterborough Utd have ended their interest in Shrewsbury hitman Dave Hibbert, thus clearing the path for John Hughes to work his magic once again.

To this guy:
"First of all i would like to say to are rivals who say were in debt of 800 million and can't sign no one well we WILL! Fact united have always had Money to spend no matter what as they have got the biggest fan base in the world and are top of the Rich list ahead or Real madrid , Barca , Mancity that says it all."

man utd is the most profitable club in the world but that's it. man city are by far the richest. utd have around 800mil in debt to pay of including tax and interest. in order to get high funding each year utd have to win 1 major competition or come very far in a knock out competition. they where beaten in the quaters by bayern, beaten by leeds in the first game in the fa cup and lost the league. the carling cup only gives 200,000 to the winners and most of utd's profits go into paying the debt off. im sick of hearing man utd fans saying utd have money to spend. its flipping obvious they have money to spend but this is not a video game they have to plan for the future and if they blow money now they will increase their debt and end up like liverpool.
since utd made a loss this year i doubt they will spend big this year, sorry i mean they can't spend this year or they will make another unprofited year. every club has funds available if say spurs wanted to, they could spend 200mil and buy messi out of their contract but no team will just blow money away like that.
so yes man utd do have money to spend buy no they will not spend it, especially since they had their least profitable year this season and having a debt near £1billion does not help.. like i said theres more chance of spurs buying messi than man utd spending over 40mil all season next year.

moving on to true rumors.
– gallas has all but left arsenal. he declined both offers and nasri thrash talking about him didn't persuade him to stay. he will join either chelsea or roma on a free transfer

– chelsea are looking to sign pato in exchange for anelka going the other way.

– rooney will stay no player will be sold at utd but alot will retire and move onto coaching. if fergie gets enough bids he may sell nani if he gets the better end of the deal like ronaldo. most of the money will then go into the clubs reserve and debt payments.

– juventus have all but confirmed buffon's departure in the summer with arsenal and man city the most likely clubs he will join. i think he is going to join arsenal since man city have given and juventus still owe money to arsenal for viera.

– liverpool looking to sign bojan and gourcuff, along with a lot of free transfers in the summer. benitez will be given a large sum of money in the summer but i still feel that won't help them get past man city next season considering the names that are being linked with them.

No fewer than 10 Premiership and Championship teams are interested in highly–rated Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant. Wednesday should be fetching at minimum £3,000,000 for him.

Nicky Weaver and Iain Turner, both former Wednesday keepers, have been linked as well as a possible move for Swindon Town goalie David Lucas.

Maik Taylor is also linked, though in my opinion he would cost too much in wages.

Rangers Info:

To all the muppets who keep claiming Rangers are being forced to to pay customs 32m / 24 / 60m etc etc or what ever figure you like. I have been informed from my sources that Rangers have been in touch with the clubs lawyers who are considering taking the NOTW to court over the allegations which are untrue, expect this to be on their website either today or tomorrow when their IT staff get full details, it will also be in Wed's edition of the Sun and watch out for the NOTW world on Sunday making an formal apology to the club.

Now as any honest Rangers fan will tell you .. the club are in deep financial trouble, however were are still operating under the agreed terms of the Bank, and the debt is coming down, it is estimated that the club debt owed to the bank is now in the region of 23 m not the 30 as everyone keeps saying, plus with the money from the CL and the SPL winners award, season tickets, new shirt sponsorship, stadium advisertisment etc the debt will come down to around the 15m figure.

Alistair Johnston, has already come out publicly and said that Smith will be given 5M to spend, however these are also to include re–signing fee's for players who are out of contract ( Boyd, Novo etc) the reason there was another meeting with the bank last week was to ask for that figure to be increased to 8–10m in order for the club to push further in the CL or to try guarantee European football of some sort past xmas 2010.

Players potentially on their way out – Boyd, Novo, Wilson ( deal still not done yet ), Beasley, S Smith, Weir (wants to stay with his family down south and will look for coaching job), McGregor (pending injury) Bougherra & Webster (Utd want to make his deal permanent and discussions are on going).

Players that management are looking at – Arfield, Wallace, Kyle, Dorman, D Healy, R Neilson, Gomis ( part of Webster deal), Luke Moore (never heard of him), and possibly McArthur (pending competition from EPL, and fee)

Smith's blue and white army !

Any saints rumours?"

Yes.

St. Christopher – Rumoured to be signing for Bolton, as he has a predilection for Wanderers. Wolves are also interested.

St. Justa – Signed a pre–contract with Stoke, interested in their pottery collection.

17 May 2010 10:51:32
Some Stoke rumours Liam Lawrence–Notts Forest £2m, James Beattie–Blackburn £2.5m, Dave Kitson–Bristol City P/E Nicky Maynard +£2m, Steve Simonsen–Leeds £500,000, Carl Dickinson–Barnsley£400,000, Tuncay Sanli–Fenerbache–£5m

M.utd will sign ronaldinio for ten million this summer

17 May 2010 10:18:10
Leicester will sign James Vaughan, Jay Spearing (loan), Robert Koren to signal their intent of getting promotion next season, they will also try and persuade Emile Heskey to join next season on a 2/3 year deal to finish his career with his home town club, Emile will retire from international football after the World Cup and will reject a return to Wigan in favour of Leicester.

Milan will also make Nigel Pearson one of the top earners in the division, instead of one of the lowest which he currently is, after having 2 great seasons.

Also, Leeds will sign Ryan McGivern and Darel Russell

17 May 2010 10:18:13
PLYMOUTH ARGYLE NEWS It not good, strong rumours in the club that because Mclean, Gow etc who have been on loan but have attracted no interest and are on long expensive contracts (thanks Luggy) the club will be forced into short term administration take the 10 point hit reduce the debt then let the new manager start from scratch.
Players out
Mclean
Gow
Seip
Timar
Larrieu
Johnson D
Mackie
Sawyer
The net income from those who we can get a fee for will not scratch the surface of the debt, although Argyle's debt at @£3 mill is pocket change to the likes of Cardiff who will implode should Holloway turn them over in the playoff final.

Wba will be making a triple swoop on neighbours aston villa this summer.firstly a return to the hawthorns for curtis davies is very much on the cards in a deal worth around 4.5 milllion.martin oneil is willing to make a loss on the young english centre half and he will be bk at the hawthorns this summer.
robet koren has today left the albion after they decided not to extend his contract.the main reason being is that wba are in alks with reo coker.the once well sort about player has lost his way somewhat and is ready to move on and play first team football which he will be virtuly guarenteed at westbrom.
the 3rd move will be 4 nicky shorey.

MANUTD

First of all i would like to say to are rivals who say were in debt of 800 million and can't sign no one well we WILL! Fact united have always had Money to spend no matter what as they have got the biggest fan base in the world and are top of the Rich list ahead or Real madrid , Barca , Mancity that says it all.

Now who will Sir Alex sign he will buy a few according to a reliable source of sky sports as he looks to make them to regain thier status of winning major cups next season.

Targets – (Gk) Hugo Lloris – Manutd have been targeting him all year as a succesfull replacement to Van der sar

– (CM) Steven Defour – Sir alex personally sent him a get well soon card when he got injured at the start of this season for his club he will look for his energy and passing abilty as a perfect set up for utd

– (LM) Di Maria – A great player and he said to his mum one day he will make it to manutd offical. We made a bid for him in january plus nani which got rejected. but as Nani has had a brilliant second half of to the season sir alex will now got back with a bid + Anderson in the summer

– (CAM) David Silva – Made a £20 million bid for him after the Euro 2008 which got rejected as valencia didn't want to sell. but this summer they will defo sell and silva himself came out saying it would be hard to turn down Manutd if they came in from him which we will do as we Sir alex see's him as scholes class player

– (ST) Benzema/Luis Suarez – every knows Sir alex is a big fan of benzema and tried to sign him last summer but didn't get his man. but after a poor season at madrid and not included in the world cup squad benzema is likey to move on and OT could be his destination.

Luis Suarez – He will come if benzema doesn't come simple as that we have scouted him about 9 times this season through Martin Ferguson (Scout) and has been impressive with 35 Goals in 33 Apps.

Thank you Manutd Info

I'VE JUST READ THIS POST BY AN ANONYMOUS VISITOR TO THIS SITE:

"The Qatar Investment Authority held discussions with Martin Broughton during their visit in London regarding the finances of Liverpool".
NOT TRUE. BROUGHTON HAS NOT MET ANYONE FROM QIA. BARCAP/QIA MEETING WAS HELD IN DOHA, QATAR.

"A bid in the region of £525million will be submitted within the next few weeks".
NOT TRUE. A BID HAS ALREADY BEEN SUBMITTED.

"This is a figure that has been deemed satisfactory by RBS, BC, and Gillett & Hicks. It will clear all debt (£480million), and leave the owners with a profit of £20million each".

NOT TRUE. SALE PRICE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RBS OR BARCAP. RBS IS ONLY CONCERNED WITH DEBT REPAYMENT. BARCAP ARE CONCERNED WITH BEST DEAL FOR THEIR CLIENT. G&H CARE ABOUT SALE PRICE. BROUGHTON IS CONCERNED ABOUT CHOOSING THE RIGHT BUYER. DEBT IS NOT £480M. IT'S CLOSER TO £380M.

"The debt figure is a result of additional debt incurred by the holding companies stemming from Kop Holdings".
THERE IS KOP HOLDINGS AND KOP CAYMAN. WHAT ARE THE SO CALLED OTHER "HOLDING COMPANIES"?

"It is unclear what the QIA's position on Rafael Benitez is".
IT IS CLEAR TO QIA BUT I HAVE NO INFO ON THAT.

"However, it is understood that since the QIA are in pole position to acquire the club, they have opened talks with Benitez".
NOT TRUE. AT THE MOMENT THE COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL IS BENITEZ–BROUGHTON–BARCAP–QIA. HOWEVER, THIS WILL CHANGE IN DUE COURSE.

"Senior players such as Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard are unaware of these developments".
TRUE.
"The QIA would like things to be kept confidential, as do Barclays Capital, RBS, and G&H".
TRUE
"Broughton has ensured that non–disclosure agreements have been signed between all major stakeholders (NOT BROUGHTON'S RESPONSIBLITY) but little leaks will emerge as the lawyers draw up the documents required for a takeover."
TRUE.
"The QIA have learned through their close connections with Barclays Capital that Mukesh Ambani is an interested party".
TRUE
"QIA may seek to form an alliance with Ambani in the future, once a full takeover by QIA themselves has succeeded".
NOT TRUE.

BLAIR, I HOPE THIS ANSWER'S YOUR QUESTION. SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE.

To the guy who told
"kaka must be some player to take a club team to world cup glory"

hmm.i'm afraid that you are not aware of the club world cup.it was kaka who took milan to world cup glory in 2007.they beat boca juniors in finals 4–2(penalties)&kaka was awarded player of the tournament(i think you call it golden ball award), In 2009 barca won it, 2008 man utd were the champs.hope its clear

now for the rumours

pato said he is happy at milan.so don't expect him at chelsea atleast for this season.so now the chelsea rumours should get confined to just

CHELSEA–Aguero, dzagoev

berba said"I'm sure United will buy a new striker – but I am there and that's important,

"I will try to fulfil my contract because where would I go after United? I have reached the top with them. I do not know about interest from other clubs and I have had no meetings."

MAN UTD–silva, dzeko(unlikely)/saurez

ARSENAL–a CB+chamakh+hazard

may be a few more names after the world cup.but for the time being this is all.

stop rumouring now about your club signing all those so called "young talents".lookin forward to spectacular world cup.

17 May 2010 03:53:44
To all the fools going on about Utd's debt, that figure is now down to around 200–250m because of the 505m bond issue which was twice over–subscribed. That is not payable until 2017 so Fergie can spend any fing amount he wants. It's just that he chooses not to.

This season has finally convinced him to spend big as he cannot rely on the old guard and flops like Berba and Carrick. Utd WILL sign atleast 2 big–name players, maybe more if the likes of Carrick, Tosic, Anderson can be offloadede. David Silva is almost a done deal as he was left out of the squad for the last game of the season. Gourcuff and Benzema will join as well {editor's note – don't you realise that the bonds are still debt?? How can you say there is a £500m bond issue but debt is down to £200m?}

Arsenal are in the hunt for Mikel Arteta whose contract talks at Everton have had some problems recently. Thats coming from the Daily Mirror and the Gunners official website

17 May 2010 04:26:10
Send me possible signings which arsenal has pointed on who are likely to be their new signings this summer.

17 May 2010 02:03:35
O'neill 100% staying, as is milner as that was one of MO'N demands (Man Utd fans can dream on. £20 million plus on a player is laughable to say you're £800million in debt. You'll be saying bye to Rooney this summer cause of the Glaziers). Cannot say the same for Ashley young. But if he does go it will not be to an English club with barca and Madrid both watching the £22mill rated winger. Villa will not sell any 'big' names to other English teams.
4 'proven' players min. To come in.
Apparently;
yossi beneyun from Liverpool (which would mean Ashley young would be free(ish) to leave for Spain
jermain beckford (free) dunno why as he wouldn't be good in the prem at all. But MO'N obviously knows better than me.
Possible move for Defo and Zamora to partner Carew and Gabby. Heskey's place in the squad depends on his world cup form. Hope he stays if I'm honest. I like the bloke ^^.
I think we may be surprised and even see 1 or 2 huge signings. Randy has to keep O'neill sweet. My guess is £20mill in the kitty plus any sales. Which would be sidders, reo–coker, beye, shorey and the like. So add another £15–£20 mill.

17 May 2010 01:45:09
Ave been a manchester united fan al my life, theres nothing bettr I would love is to see SAF get a few big name signings, but to be realistic this will not hapen, united is in over 700million debt and at best he will sign few early teen players such as jagielka, micah richards and develop them into stars. Also i woud not be surprised to see rooney leave fer the r.madrid rumours is that wen photographing for the new fifa he had his picture takin in a man utd shirt en a real shirt just incase, someone suggested the possibility a swap deal with kaka

Celtic are still undecided as to who to appoint as manager for nxt season. Giovanni Trapatonni still being linked, Desmonds secret millionaire would bank roll him on a part time basis with Neil Lennon installed as Head Coach. Lennon could be named as he seems to be the fans and players choice. Czaba Laszlo has made himself availible to speak to the club. Others in the frame include David O'Leary, Avram Grant, Paul Lambert, Phil Brown and John Collins(Rumours from Celtic Park)
St Mirren have 4 front runners for the vacancy at the Paisley club. Mixu Paatelainen, Kenny McDowall, Billy Stark and Derek Adams are all interested but would have to be given some money to bring in players. The St Mirren board are reluctant to part with any money as they hope to sell the club
Andrew Ellis has cooled his interest as the consortium he was heading have no interest in dealing with the club until all financial matters at Rangers can be dealt with before the begining of 2010/11.

Great news for United fans as Silva, Higuain, and Milner look set to join Man United for around £23 million each. Also United look set to bid for Di Maria, Lloris, Subotic, Gourcuff, Hamsik, Modric and Rodwell. A lot of players but all quality. I'd love to see:

David Silva
Hugo Lloris
Marek Hamsik
James Milner
Jack Rodwell
Gonzalo Higuain

Oh yea i heard that too. And SAF also said he will be bringing back ronaldo, while signing messi, kaka, fabregas and torres.

Idiot. Let me make something clear. United have £800 million in debt. Only way they balanced that is constantly winning trophies and getting very far in CL. This year they didn't win PL, were out of FA Cup the first game, and got only as far as 1/4 fianls in CL. They will have a huge loss this year. They will probably be looking to sell another one of their superstars. Or two. Or three. I personally see Rooney and Evra going to Real and Bayern, AC Milan and Real battling it out for Vidic.

Now onto LFC rumors.
Rafa is looking to majorly change his squad. Even though there is no CL football, LFC are the most succesfull club in England and that counts for something.(yes Man U fans your team has 57 trophies, and we have 58. And that's including The Community Shield)

Rafa is looking at:
Mesut Ozil: CM/RM/LM/AM. £8 million
Jesus Navas: RM. £12 million
Ever Banega: DM/CM £8.5 million
Dany Wilson: CB. £2 million
Vasilis Tosodoris: RB/CB/LB £6.5 million
Joe Cole: free
and a forward.

Players coming to Anfield this year after the mass clearout Wayne Hennessy, Joe Cole, Jonjo Shelvey, Milan Jovanovic, Aleksandar Kolarov, Danny Wilson, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Charles N'Zogbia, Gary Cahill and last but not least Rafael Van der Vaart who in my opinion will turn out to be Liverpool's best signing of the year, Rafa has been told he can spend £20million and if he wants any more it will have to be raised through player sales.

16 May 2010 23:57:05
Some quality Manchester United rumours

The core truth in any rumour, is finding out whether the proposed transfer target has, or is currently being scouted. The following have all been scouted in the last 12 months (some more often than others):

David Silva – still being regularly scouted by Martin Ferguson (typically once a month)

Mario Hamsik – last scouted Oct 2009 by Martin Ferguson

Luis Suarez – scouted extremely regularly up to present by Martin Ferguson (very good indication)

Neymar – still being regularly scouted by Jim Lawler (Chief Scout)

Yoann Gourcuff – unfortunately (imo) not being scouted since his Rennes days

Simon Kjaer – last scouted in Jan 2010 by Martin Ferguson

Hatem Ben Arfa – scouted extremely regularly up till March 2010 by Martin Ferguson (very good indication)

Neuer – regulary scouted until March 2010 by Martin Ferguson

However, scouting players is regularly used to make smoke screens to take attention away from A N other. But look into the above as you may.

Cheers,

WF Red Devil
