Bradford city want to sign marlon pack

About a month late there chap. Champ clubs sniffing around, so "Pack" this dream up.

18 Jul 2013 10:03:25
Centre midfield is somewhere where we look strong already, plus we would need to pay a fee. Champ clubs were sniffing around Yeates so not sure that is an issue.

18 Jul 2013 10:27:04
Cheltenham have rejected bids from Crawley and Bradford and chairman has said it will take at least six figures otherwise we will keep him.

He is in talks with Bristol City

How can you keep him whens his contract has run out

Bradford are not looking at another central midfielder. Please stop posting nonsense.

17 Jul 2013 22:28:00
Former Stevenage midfielder Danny Murphy is training with the club with a view to signing for the club.

Darren*

17 Jul 2013 22:26:47
Have heard that although bramble training with ipswich, his agent is in talks with hull, over the possibility of a trial, bramble wants assurances he will be 1st team regular, west ham offerd him 1 yr deal with no garentees of a starting place. offer is still on the table. he sees Ipswich as a last resort and would only sign a 1 yr deal if he returns to Portman road. mls is another area brambles aagent looking into

Please Forest do not be tempted by this. We need another centre-back but we are not desperate.

If this was true MM wouldn't even be in talks, he would give other players his place in pre-season friendlies

18 Jul 2013 12:09:07
Bramble has to be one of the worst defenders ever to grace the premier league and how he has played for a few clubs in that league is beyond me. A player that always has a mistake in him that causes serious damage to his team.
Championship to me has always been his maximum level but premier league is a no no for me.

17 Jul 2013 22:12:46
Due to new signing marc de Val Fernandez's injury, Doncaster are accessing the option of signing a cover midfielder, with Richie Wellens though to be a top priority even though previous talks broke down between both parties a couple of months ago.

Wellens as just moved house to bessacarr!

The bessacarr house rumour is actually true, wow I actually believe he's returning now!

Where {Ed003's Note - We are not going there mate,would you like your addy being put on the internet}

17 Jul 2013 22:11:35
simon church about to sign for shrewsbury due to meet turner tomorrow

Spend some money mr turner before its to late stop looking for cheap all the time

Dream on. if we sign him we couldn't afford three other players we need.

Simon church does score goals but just sign cofie marsden and billy jones and that'll do for shrewsbury I support port vale fc and we are signing players with high ability and good experience at the moment we are a better team than you

PVFC!!!

Port vale on paper have a better team but its not played on paper let's see what happens next season

Pope won't get 9 yard free headers this year Vale.

The only kick pope will get is on the leg--- 1 season wonder

17 Jul 2013 22:11:11
Peterborough have upped there bid for Bradford forward Nahki Wells. Posh are believed to have offered the Bantams £1.2m + Emile Sonclair.

Yeah for striker unproven at league one level

Haha more like 120,000 and Sinclair

18 Jul 2013 10:23:16
Not exactly prolific in League 2 either.

After the Barnett Debacle I can't see posh offering 1 Million for a striker again, especially one who might be the same type of player (unsuited to our style of play)

2. 2 more like it, he is class natural finisher and will get stronger and better every game.

No bid has been made

18 league goals last season in League 2, it’s a good tally for a league 2 striker but hardly sets him up as a striker that’s worth 7 figures. Posh will be looking for a player they can breed in to a championship/Premiership player again.

Darragh MacAnthony has already said that yes, we've bid for Wells but the offer was turned down and we won't be persuing him any longer

Here we go again. Nahki Wells won't be joining another league 1 team.

Reality check children, as a posh fan, there is not a chance in hell of us signing wells! He is destined for big things, and we would be a sideways move.
I was at his first game for the bantams, awful match until a little Bermudan kid came on and turned the game on its head

All this 'sideways move' puzzles me. Bradford scraped into Lg 1 via the playoff's, and are now the 'big time Charlies' of the division.

A player that only gets the occasional mention has not been chased by anyone of note. Achievement in Lg 2 is hardly grounds for the silly money that the Bantom's fan's are talking about.

Anyway, I would hardley call 18 goals in the basement division anything to shout about.

I'm a posh fan, but the sideways move thing is true. Remember Bradford were in the prem 10 years ago, have a big ground etc. can't see this move happening at all

From Nakhi himself in this mornings press (re. Posh's offer): 'it didn’t really bother me. I just got on with it and I’m not too focused on moving sideways'

Lol all these Posh fans saying it would be asideways move are clearly not Posh fans

17 Jul 2013 20:48:00
Theo Robinson to complete his move to Rotherham in time to face his former club Huddersfield on Saturday

So wha? theo ha his chance to get himself a move back to town and he didn't do much did he? he had so much potential and has never done it.

What a relief.

Celebrations at Pride Park!

Scored a hat trick yesterday against Buxton who had Andy Warrington in goal.

17 Jul 2013 20:47:12
Rotherham haven't given up on landing Morecambe striker Jack Redshaw despite his long term injury. They are considering returning with a lower offer to tempt Morecambe to part with the player as he will miss the majority of the season with a hip injury and Evans sees him as a future star is willing to take the gamble the Redshaw will be back to his best when fit.

Can't see it happening when the MFC board have already turned down an offer already. {Ed003's Note -I'm with you absolute rhubarb! }

Absolute rubbish why would anyone buy a player that's injured, how many players careers have gone downhill after Injury?

Jack is staying with MFC. Rotherham would have to INCREASE their previous bid to land him.

17 Jul 2013 20:22:05
deon burton will sign for bury fc for 12 months
sometime next week

Looked this guy up on wiki he seems at gillingham he made 40 apperances and scored 12 goals he seems ok

On trial at Scunthorpe earlier in the week. Scored and subsequently offered a contract.

17 Jul 2013 20:16:38
Neil Danns to be offered two year deal by Millwall, should sign by the weekend.

I hope this is 'TRUE'? A good Championship player! FingersX

17 Jul 2013 19:38:52
Stoke looking to sign Tomas Kalas from Chelsea for a reported £4.5 million on a loan to buy deal.

No way you've been playing too much fm as he's not worth that much. Plus stoke have got too nanny defenders already

Somehow I doubt Chelsea would be willing to sell. Mourinho see's him as a future starter and has already said he is keeping him in the first team squad for this season.

17 Jul 2013 19:07:28
Pafc sign Ronauld Bocco, free agent after leaving Accrington after this season. Signing after missing out on Banton who has gone to MK dons.

17 Jul 2013 18:59:31
Burnley winger/ striker George Porter poised to join AFC Wimbledon on loan.

Done deal. Season long loan.

17 Jul 2013 18:50:28
Derby interested in Alan Tate from Swansea on a six month loan deal.

Why wait
Don't be too late
To Sam Rush
For our final push
Sign Alan Tate {Ed003's Note - Not again lol}

Amazing poem.

He's had a good time with swans, not premier league style though! You can have him! Once a jack, always a jack! Good luck tatey!

Just seen scott sinclair in swans training ground. Asked what he was doing there they said he's doing a medical

^ You on a wind up? Better be for less than 5 mill and he'd better not jump ship next time his skirt fancies doing shopping in a bigger city!
Will be met with many differing opinions from us Jack's

Don't want him back tbh

Do we really need Sinclair back.

19 Jul 2013 14:13:49
Alan Tate plays at full back doesn't he and therefore will not be joining the Rams as we have enough cover in those areas. John Brayford will be offered a new two year deal and unless a premier team comes in for him will sign it and commit himself to the club for at least another season.

O'Brien is 'progressing nicely' according to derby medic staff and should be in squad contention by end of Sept though Barker will not be fit until at least the New Year. Having missed out on Baptiste and Dunne, Derby will turn their attentions to taking Leicesters' out-of-favour defender Sean St Ledger on a six month loan.

Tate is a centre back

Alan Tate is a centre back.

Yes Tate is traditionally a CB but can play as full back too!

Tate can play anywhere across the back 4, he use to do it quite well but. Lol got to love him though the jack ba.

Tate has even played in the sticks nowhere he won't play

17 Jul 2013 18:22:33
JS didn't hang about having lost Banton to MK Dons, Argyle have signed Rommy Boco from Acc Stanley on a one year deal.

18 Jul 2013 07:12:59
Seems a Decent player, must be alright to be playing most of the time for his country.

He has also been captian of benin

"He has also been captian of benin"

Hardly a very big claim.

My friend's pet goldfish has 33 caps for Benin. 12 of them as captain.

I can't see how that has been presumed as a 'a big claim'. It's a just a statement and shows he has leadership.

'You Tube' recording shows his skills in a particularly good light.

Yep I agree ^ its hardly a big claim he was only saying. People like you above are never satisfied

21 Jul 2013 12:24:28
Dont know why people have to disrespect this blokes country. I'd imagine boco is very proud of the fact he's captained his country/

17 Jul 2013 17:45:07
Paul Dickov is close to making young Irish defender Luke McCullough his next new signing.

17 Jul 2013 17:21:22
afc wimbledon to sign george porter on loan

Season long loan- to be announced tomorrow (Thursday) apparently.

Its the lanky kid from Millwall. Still hope that smooth tongue Ardley will scupper Chelsea's attempt at Rooney by offering up Seb Brown and Will Antwi.

17 Jul 2013 17:19:53
Millwall have an offer on the table for 'der hammer' former west ham midfielder thomas hitzlsperger as he is released by everton,

Hitzlsperger wants regular football to re-establish himself in england although he is waiting on other offers

A three month contract is on the table

You can't afford his wages for as week, let alone 3 months

I seriously doubt this one, his a really good midfielder can will have loads of offers from some PL clubs and overseas

17 Jul 2013 17:07:43
Milwall in talks with hull city over the transfer of cameron stewart

17 Jul 2013 17:06:54
John guidetti to wba 12 month loan with permanent transfer price agreed

He wants to go to Sunerland and join the revolution! {Ed003's Note - Feyenoord want him back on loan apparently}

Ha Ha - Wild rumour, suppose someone might buy it!
12 month loan possibly, fee agreed to buy - no chance!!

Clearly none of you read or listen to what man city have said. JOHN GUIDETTI IS NOT JOINING A PREMIER LEAGUE CLUB.

18 Jul 2013 10:23:11
He's going no where,

Pellegrini is very interested in him and even enquired about him last season when he was at Malaga.

17 Jul 2013 17:02:36
Robbie simspon set to sign a 6 month deal back with Oldham

Hope so! Was gutted when he left! Awesome midfielder

I don't even think we need him to be honest but we will see how true this is

17 Jul 2013 23:32:10
I don't! Good performances were way too few and far between plus his wages are a massive strain on the club

Nooooooo
only turns up for telly games

Always liked the guy but he didn't perform often enough

If he takes a massive reality check take comes down from his wages demands and starts to enjoy his football with players he knows then I would have him back but this position isn't an area of concern right now! We need a centre back strong and with a wise head like gregan

Don't need him, only played for a full time deal and last season he was one of our worst players, if not THE worst

He will have to come back on massively reduced wage then, beggers can't be choosers, if he's not had anyone come in for him.

He was good when he was good but didn't do it enough for me

Average player with a half decent shot that's about all there is to say about Simpson not worth his wages latics don't want him back not worth it.

No chance. Think L. J. would be a fool to resign him. Fetch Barnard back as Simpson would soon disappear if the season was not going as well as it should.

17 Jul 2013 16:14:37
Billy Davies sees Charlie Austin as the man to get the goals to fire Forest to promotion and has been given the go-ahead to offer £2 million plus add-ons for the Burnley hitman. Reading could come in with a late bid.

He'd be a bit of arubbish manager if he though one player could change whether you get promoted or not, which we all know he isn't

Theyhave tuned down bigger offers than this.

1 player does win things rvp won the title for man united this season with all his goals Charlie Austin could be the same thing for them. Cardiff city fan.

Waste of time this one, never pass the forest medical!

Austin said he wants to stay out his contract for burnley. hell always be a claret.

Just been told ryan noble is to join burnley

He'll always be a claret or maybe a royal or maybe a tiger depends on the wages mate

18 Jul 2013 12:54:16
Despite all the Billy Davies wants. posts who have Forest managed to sign so far? Not even Wes Morgan wants to play for him.

Please sign Austin, it will shut my forest loving boss up

Always be a claret? Haha only because his knee is a ticking time-bomb is he still on your books.

Austin said he wants to stay out his contract for burnley. hell always be a claret.

Or at least till his contract ends?

Austin has become the new peter whittingham saga of previous times

17 Jul 2013 16:06:43
Nottingham Forest to test Burnley's resolve with a cheeky £2 million bid for striker Charlie Austin. Bidders know Burnley have to sell to fund incoming deals. Source: Alan Nixon (Daily Mirror).

Nixon gets a lot wrong regarding Burnley. 2M with what we have to pay Swindon in sell on clause we might as well keep him and let him go for free next year, because what's left won't fund any incomings

How come Burnley intend to offer him new deal then

We don't have to sell. For £2m I'm sure we'd rather have the 30 goals Austin is targeting for himself this season. Plus Austin has said his ambition is the prem, either with Burnley or another club. So a championship club would not seem to fit his criteria.

I do like Charlie Austin, he should come to Charlton.

QPR in the driving seat for this one. They have offered him huge wages and Forest are not interested in entering a bidding war with Rangers. All in the players court now, but he is interested.

17 Jul 2013 15:59:06
Celtic today have accepted a £5.5m bid from Queens Park Rangers, the striker is set to be a QPR player by the weekend as he is very close to agreeing personal terms.

Don't think so, he's said he wants to go to Norwich

You are assuming he does not want to wait for Norwich to come back with another offer, or force Celtic to sell him to where he really wants to go, the premier league!, if its just about money then he is the wrong player to sign anyway.
Do you really believe QPR will get promotion next year?
Reading & Wigan will be right up there.

Keep up gents. The Hooper deal, as the op says, is pretty much done. Hooper is a hoop {Ed015's Note - Lennon has said that no offer has been accepted yet.}

The fact Lennon is saying no deal has been agreed is irrelevant. Clubs often allow players to talk to clubs before a deal is is finalised. All this suggests is that the 2 clubs are close to a deal. Also it has been confirmed by jurno's close to Celtic that Hooper is in London. Still think other bids will be made with west ham a possibility. All said Norwich's stand of not overpaying for a guy with 1 year left on his deal is understandable.

I assume you mean Hooper :D

Hoopers in london? So is the whole squad were playing brentford

He's not in the squad to play the bees and has been in london for days.

God just take him, I am sick of hearing it now. Been going on for months. Enjoy the championship Garry and I really hope you get your call up.

Darrenbhoy

Thought boyce done well in the champions league game think he could b the buy of the season

17 Jul 2013 15:27:16
Former Arsenal academy graduate Nigel Neita and former Portsmouth youth-teamer Dan Thompson, both 19, have been given trials by Reading. Both played a half in Reading's 4-0 win at Dartford yesterday

Uhh they didn't play.

Tell me more.

They were the trialists

17 Jul 2013 15:17:33
Hi any news on leyton orient getting cook and rowlands back? Thanks in advance.

Cook is at Millwall trying to earn a contract and good as Rowland's was we can do better.

Thanks, would love him back at is next season decent squad player

Cook isn't welcome back.

He didn't try. He can rot.

I would welcome back Rowlands. I thought he was a quality player.

17 Jul 2013 15:01:39
Doncaster and Leeds are both interested in Dundee Utd's highly-rated Tricky winger, Gary Mackey-Stevens

Doncaster are very top heavy with wide players so I don't they will be signing anymore at this moment.
A striker & a couple of goalkeepers maybe.

Why would Doncaster be interested in a winger we have got bennet, copps, cotterell, duffy, forrester, and josh meade.

He scores goals ouldnt mindhim with rovers

I wouldn't care if we have enough he's a quality player with a wicked striker and he's very tricky if get him in and ship Bennett out

17 Jul 2013 22:20:49
Mackay-Stevens can play just behind the striker and Dickov has said he wants 2 players in each position

Old news. Getting boring

Hope this is true we need someone like this at leeds to complete us! MOT

The Mackay-Steven to Leeds rumour is old news. Dundee Utd said they'd had no contact whatsoever from Leeds so I doubt it'll happen

All people are judging him on are a few videos of him against very low level players he actually isn't that good.

Would be ideal for Leeds to fill vacant position but not sure the interest is there from the club

17 Jul 2013 14:37:27
Swindon Town are set to accept a bid of £400. 000 believed to be from Rotherham utd for James Collins. Although two championship clubs are also interested. The two teams are rumoured to be Barnsley and Huddersfield Town. Barnsleys manager may look elsewhere as the club aren't able to offer that amount.

I can see him joining Huddersfield as we need 1 more striker in my opinion but he will not be a first choice.

I like what I have seen of James Collins. he seems strong and powerful, someone town could defo do with.

Is that the same James Collins, who played centre mid, right mid and then centre back for Swindon last night, if we had accepted a bid like that he wouldn't have played

Collins isn't bad but he blows hot and cold, can score great goals but miss absolute sitters, he is unhappy at Swindon and will leave, he will be a good signing if you want a big man up front, but he needs to work on his shooting and heading and lose some weight.

Yep, which Is what I have said about jack hunt at our place. he would be a good signing tho.

The more worring thing is, no manager as yet & swindon go to portugal sunday for 7 days you would
think they should have someone in place by then 2 weeks saturday the season starts

How do you work out that barnsley cannot afford 400K?

Your description of Collins makes him sound like a cross between Alan Lee and Theo Robinson, no thanks if that's the case.

Apparently a fee as been agreed

Which club has agreed a fee?

Rotherham. To be announced today. Swindon have put a deadline in place for the deal to be completed.

He's signing for Huddersfield

Doubt it, evans been bigging up revell, think the new striker won't materilise.

OK NO ANNOUNCEMENT THEN!!

yes I was shouting I wanted to be heard

According to the club Collins transfer to Huddersfield is being ratified at the moment

Collins to sign for Huddersfield today for £350k

17 Jul 2013 15:47:51
Coventry have taken 3 trialists with them to Holland, they are: Mathieu Manset, Brian Saah and Craig Fagan.

Craig Fagan would be an abysmal signing. Bad attitude & the heart of a pea!

Manset is there on trial YES, but the Sky Blues have a spanish winger and a dutch winger on trial at the moment.
Not sure about Fagan and Saah.

Transfer Embargo

Brian saah currently at Dagenham/Redbridge played in most preseasons

"Transfer Embargo"

What's that got to do with giving trials to players?

Played D&R friendly on 17th v Thurrock

Transfer Embargo means we can't sign anybody, so why would we have players on trial, it would be wasting there's and our time

Craig fagan is on trial at Scunthorpe

Manset might be our 6ft 2inch French Striker on trial. But apparently we also have a Spanish and a Dutch winger on trial to make up the 3 trialists. Heard nothing about Saah or Fagan, but Fagan would be a great addition to the squad.

"Transfer Embargo means we can't sign anybody, so why would we have players on trial, it would be wasting there's and our time"

With a view to signing them I would have thought.

Players could sign a pre contract agreement so not a waste of time.

Manset would be a cracking addition to the Cov squad. Powerful and has a hell of a powerful shot on him. Slower than most, but would fill the Adebola/Platt role.

They can't sign pre contracts while we are still in administration

Yes they can. Pre contract means exactly that. You sign a pre contract prior to signing an actual contract.

17 Jul 2013 15:46:53
Danny Graham to Hull rumours are correct. Pictured at the KC stadium today. This will be a loan deal, with Steve Bruce looking abroad for a 2nd striker to buy.

17 Jul 2013 13:50:12
Adamo Coulibaly is a French Foward on trail at Charlton this week, 31 and should play against Wimbledon Wednesday night.

He’s got a good goal scoring record albeit whilst in Hungary

Is there anyone else Charlton are trying to sign?

Coulibaly was very good against us yesterday and I'd be surprised if you didn't sign him. If you don't want him we will!

He was impressive against wimbledon. had a good fisrt touch showed signs of skill and very alert as he is always trying to win the ball. I would definatly sign him up but we still need a week in week out goal scorer.

Looks a very good player with a great goal scoring record. Also a free agent so I feel if he has a good game against Portsmouth Powell will be willing to keep him on.

Harriott is better

When was Harriott a centre forward?

Sorry the harriott comment was meant for the rumour below 😜

Harriott is better
---------------------------
But a different position so your point is invalid.

17 Jul 2013 13:37:41
Matty Brown has signed a one year contract with Chesterfield, great news in my opinion.

Very poor player that's why he was at marine

Hes done ok in pre season, he worked hard and congratulations to him he deserves it

Not impressed by this; probably signed as a squad player but we lack central defenders - at this point can see him playing, which worries me.

Jesus give the guy a break. everybody moaned when we signed Steve Norris from non league Halifax then look how he turned out. Good look to him I say!

Ex man city reserves captain. Improving with every game. Cooks found another rough diamond. You want to give him a chance and get behind the team.

From what I've seen he's done well, in pre season he hasn't made anymore mistakes than any other player, give him a break, ex man city u18s captain so he must have something

Matt via his obvious contact in the coaching staff has taken his chance and is a pro player. Good luck to him.
My only observation is he lacks pace and that is why he was in non league.
He will get caught in some matches but then again look at Trotman!

Why am I always frustrated to see that Town have some really stupid fans!
The fact that someone is signed from non-league does not mean they are short of pace or a bad player. Judge him on performances for CFC. I could fill pages with players who were signed from non-league and went on to be huge successes - Man City Under 18 captain tells us all we need to know about his ability - now he's got the break support him and we could well have a great prospect.

Smalling came from non-league who now plays for man u

To slate a player that hasn't even begun playing is pretty poor! He has done well in pre season and hasn't looked out of place at all! I think Cooke has done well to find non league or low league players, look at Brindley! Give the guy a chance!

Hey Let's get one thing clear Cook never looks at anyone Matt and Brindley were were introduced by ex coaching staff ( lynch ) or an agent Nando and Brindly. All 3 been on trial and if cook, CT and several others like them a finders fee is payable. PC knew none of them like many managers don't. Naive to think otherwise. That's what a chief scout does but the Marine relationship is abvious

So what - it sounds like you have a weird hang up about finders fees!! What does that have to do with CFC MANAGEMENT ASSESSING WHETHER A PLAYER IS GOING TO LET THEM BUILD THEIR REPUTATION IN THE GAME.

Your naive if you believe that. Cook watches games most days and knew all the new signings personally beforehand. I'm not sure why you post about things you know nowt about.

After watching them at Southport, he'd better make a few more signings unless we want to finish in mid-table

17 Jul 2013 13:37:12
despite signing a new deal, Harlee Dean is a target for Ipswich, who need back up centre back

Harlee Dean signed a 3 year contract with Brentford, think that say's it all.

No need to sell. He's very happy to stay. End of.

Never heard of him doubt it very much

As an Ipswich fan I have no knowledge of who Harley dean is, but I would like to point out to the Brentford fan who said that dean has just signed a 3 year contract, that Wickham signed a new deal just before his departure to sunderland

I'm a town fan and can say this won't happen

Why would we want him. We've got much better players.

17 Jul 2013 13:31:49
Doncaster interested in Wales international defender Christian Ribeiro

17 Jul 2013 13:29:03
Reading have signed Hugo Logan from MK Dons academy.

Really! That's awful news if true.

17 Jul 2013 13:13:52
Tyrone Barnett close to deal with Blackpool.

Good, cannot happen soon enough. Don't imagine any POSH fans want him to stay

No he's not for the 5th time of saying lol Pool have withdrawn their interest due to Barry Fry

How many times has this come up?

17 Jul 2013 13:02:47
Walsall will continue thier transfer activity with the signing of trialists, Taylor Morgan, David Ball, James McQuilkin, Joel Purkiss, Omari Stirling James, Shane Lewis and Richard O'Donnel. This will complete the Saddlers squad for the upcoming season.

Jordan Ball?

Hmmmm! Maybe James McQuilkin, Omari Stirling James & O Donnell but the rest no. I think Walsall will also sign Romaine Sawyers

Need a good goal-keeper but not sure we need all of these players

17 Jul 2013 12:26:03
Marlon Pack has been in talks with Bristol City for the last 14 days, discussing a terms package also Cheltenham representatives are keeping a keen eye on developments as compensation will need to be agreed.

Links between Bristol City and Billy Sharp are false he does not want to drop divisions as he feels he can fire a high end championship club to the premiership - source Sharp

Quite fancy marlon down Ashton gate. got a load of goals for a midfielder. think he could make the step up.

17 Jul 2013 20:03:26
Bristol City and Crawley have both had bids rejected by Cheltenham for Pack. CTFC want six figures minimum and a fee of £150k would be enough.

Nonsense. Pack is available for a small compensation as his contract has run out. 100K is what CTFC believe they will get, if they don't accept the offer made then it goes to a tribunal which will probably mean they get around 70-80K given his ability and age, so CTFC are not holding out for 150 k because they won't get it

Bids rejected? Clever cloggs? He's NOT under a contract he's a Bosman, you don't bid for free agents? You have to agree compensation for players under the age of 23/24? Depending on appearances and they normally got to a tribunal hearing.

Marlon Pack stats;

2011/12 Played 43 Scored 5
2012/13 Played 40 Scored 7

Wouldn't really call that "loads" for a midfielder.

Both Mark Yates (Cheltenham Mgr) and Paul Baker (Cheltenham Chairman) have confirmed bids have been rejected and they will not be accepted until they reach six figures. If no deal is sorted Pack will stay at CTFC or he will have to force a deal through a tribunal.

Either way a £150,000 deal with Bristol City is now hte most likely outcome.

18 Jul 2013 16:36:10
No, only thing Baker ever confirmed was they are not holding it back and player is happy with the contract, but it's the other team that has *something* that they need sorting.

Rotherham duo Mitch Rose and Kieran Agard could leave the millers on loan to gain first team experience. Agard looks set to join Plymouth until January and Rose is wanted by Newport and a host of conference clubs.

Ridiculous rumour. Mitch rose could well be a first team player this year. We only have 4 strikers so we won't be letting agard out on loan

I hope Newport are setting their sights higher unless Rose is a star in the making.

I think 6 months regular football at a decent standard will benefit both Mitch and the Millers. good young player with bags of potential.

Jed McCory the chairman at STFC has re approached Ian Wright to be the manager at Swindon, he was the first choice ahead of KMAC and now due to KMAC's resignation they have re approached Ian asking him to take charge of the team. Ian Wright is keen on the position but has asked for a few days to discuss with his family.

Would be very disappointing

I know he was first choice last time and turned it down after talking to his wife, can't see why he would change his mind now, I have a sneaky suspicion about Stuart Pearce his odds at the beginning of the week were at 28/1 now they are down to 8/1 coming down all the time.

John Ward joining as Director of Football

Please, not Ian Wright

Lee Power is already Director of Football. bad rumour based on lies.

17 Jul 2013 12:56:35
charlton want to bring back hogan ephraim on a permenant basis

Could well be true was very close to joining last transfer window

He thinks he is far better than he is, TBH we could do without.

17 Jul 2013 12:54:44
Paul groves to be appionted swindon town manger in the next 48hrs

Well, after the great job he did at Bournemouth (not) I'm sure he was top of the list. or cheap.

17 Jul 2013 16:14:30
Another Bournemouth joker making up rumours, somehow I don't think so.

No appointment is being mad this week & groves is not being considered for the job full stop.

17 Jul 2013 17:28:45
A bournemouth fan has posted this as a wind up as bournemouth now are a massive club as they are a championship side on gates 4k-5k but with a rich russian that will soon fall out with chairman eddie mitchell.
There is no substance in this story whatsoever.

People being discussed for the job do not include this muppet for the job he is absolutley useless.

17 Jul 2013 12:54:09
Charlton athletic have got a trailist striker 31 year old his playing against afc Wimbledon tonight

Current Southampton rumours

Leandro Damiao - supposedly we are the only club to have had a bid accepted by his club. Napoli haven't matched our bid. Player stalling to see what other options come his way.

Cheikhou Kouyate - Senegalese defender for Anderlecht

Ryad Boudebouz - Sochaux winger, Algerian. This seems most likely, a previously much hyped star who drifted off people's radars last season. Supposed he's keen on the move.

Damiao coming here becase there are no better offers is not at-all iseal in my books.

First comment - Surely that is the case for most signings?! You go where the best offer is. Doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate us or want to play for us. Don't blame the lad, having previously been linked with Spurs and Napoli, to bide his time and make sure the move is right for him.

Only kidding yourself if you don't think Saints is a step down from Spurs/Napoli.

I'm a Saints fan. Just think we are a bit too keen for every player we sign to be in love with Saints and have us as their first choice, when in reality we're not a top 20 club in Europe. Yet.

Napoli or zenit for Damiao

This one seems to go on and on!
Ed is there any truth at all in this rumour or are we just being our normal over optimistic selves!

Saint '76 {Ed001's Note - if you are talking about Damiao, it is hard to tell. Someone around him is constantly linking him with clubs with money to spend, with little seeming basis to the links. No one seems willing to pay the asking price.}

Damiao would be a massive coup for Saints, regardless of whether he's mad keen on being here.

Look at Gastón! Barely even turned up for some games last season but that's allowed for the games he does put in his shift?

I thought G Ram gave everything. He struggled after he got injured but not through lack of trying. His link up play was still world class. even if he was missing a gear.

Napoli are in for Higuian now. have they given up on Damiao?

17 Jul 2013 11:56:44
bristol rovers to get tony adams as new youth development coach?

17 Jul 2013 11:39:34
Exeter City are set to sign speedster Claude Gnakpa on a free

I don't think we can afford to sign Gnapka and Brian Pinas

18 Jul 2013 07:13:34
As a walsall fan I wudnt bother he's rubbish

17 Jul 2013 11:44:19
Swansea striker rumours at the moment. Vydra or di Santo?- which one most likely to happen?

Vydra is worth BIG money. £15m would be an absolute steal, just no one is prepared to invest so heavily in a player with no Premier League experience. Definitely the best 1v1 striker outside the top 4 even now and would fit seemlessly with your setup - His attitude can let him down though. Work rate dropped and goals wernt scored for 3 months straight. Wouldn't say he has an ego because he doesn't, but he certainly knows his potential and plays on it.

Di Santo most likely. He wants to stay in the Premiership and Swansea are the only team to have offered anything.

Swansea aren't interested in di santo, it's just more useless rumours

We are interested in Di Santo Fact!

No we aren't, just like the other guy said, it's just rubbish rumours, like aubumeyang or ince, or emnes or capel or Rhodes

We were interested in aubumeyang and ince but ince price tag is ridiculous and aub wanted champions league, di santo on the other hand does seem rubbish, swans want another stiker who can score and his record speak for itself

We are not intrested in di santo stupid paper talk and are only intrested in vydra on loan also the club are trying to keep quiet on a loan bid for manchester citys john guttieti who looks class. already turned down a bid for michu from man c off ten million plus guttieti which I thought is a excellent deal

17 Jul 2013 11:38:59
Free agent Caleb Folan has been offered a trial at rotherham if he doesn't sign for blackpool

No thanks. not the most mobile or prolific wherever he has been. cannot see this happening.

Blackpool need him

17 Jul 2013 11:33:47
The 2 young strikers Rotherham have placed bids for are Jake Cassidy at Wolves and James Collins at Swindon.

Brilliant how Rotherham fans seem determined that they have bid for Collins. I doubt there has been a bid and tbh there's very little chance that Collins would want to go there.

Dream on chump

James collins is now a central midfielder, despite being Towns top scorer last year we are playing him in Central mid, so he would probably jump at the chance of joining a club who will play him up top

Watch this space

Cassidy won't leave wolves, and Collins looks to be heading to wolves amyway

17 Jul 2013 11:26:15
just seen gorden strachen in rr sport driving into barnsley any ideas?

New Midfielder

Your new midfield dynamo!

Going shopping

As far as I am aware the only thing that is happening at Oakwell today is that the U18s kick off against Scunny.

He might have an interview at athersley rec,

He's come for a pie

NOT be going to REC as Aquaforce have offered him better deal

Watford are set to sign iriney santos from Granada. The 32 year old defensive midfielder will join watford in the coming days and the deal is not known if its a loan or a permanent one.

Loan move. Says so on Granada's website.

Its a loan deal

17 Jul 2013 14:40:23
This has been confirmed on the granada website and watford observer. It looks like a season loan and he is flyling over to meet the squad in the next few days.

Sources say its a loan

Loan, with option to buy

I heard about that, seems very true and would be a great replacement for John eustace and can fill in the void that chalobah left behind

May also be joined by Ighalo

It's permanent, was going to be a loan but now will be permanent.

Source: Watford paper

Permanent signing boys

He's not here on loan - is signing on a permanent contract. As with all the other signings, the club are waiting for FA endorsement before announcing officially.

It's on a permanent deal, see the watford observer today

19 Jul 2013 10:54:06
Iriney to Watford is permanent - confirmed this morning.

http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/10558531.UPDATE__Iriney_to_join_Watford_permanently/

A big day for Watford FC. Eight permanent signings. Bring on the season.

19 Jul 2013 12:03:34
Watford have today confirmed the official signings (ie approved by all bodies) of Abdi, Battochio, Angella, Pudil, Cassetti, Faraoni, Acuna, Fabrinni. Brilliant Championship signings, some of them if not all premiership quality. Can you tell I'm a Watford Fan? Forza Watford!

17 Jul 2013 11:16:47
Rory Delap and Brian Jenson to sign for burton

Delap is signing for Portsmouth. Jenson could be a good call though.

Rory Delap would be a good signing, no sure about the beast though.
Adam Legzdins with Mason Bennett pehaps on loan would be excellent signings.

Legzdins would be returning to his old club but I suspect Brian Jensen will be signed as keeper and as for Mason Bennett there is absolutely no chance!

Hes not wants to be close to his family in derby and signing to be announced tomorrow so will probs be him

Delap is not signing for portsmouth cause he's signed a one year deal with the brewers

Delap signed for the Brewers this morning.

Delap signed 1yr contract jenson and rowe turner not taken on

Stunning signing, welcome Rory you beauty!!!

17 Jul 2013 11:14:07
Bobby grant having medical at blackpool this afternoon after agreeing personal terms, also Swindon have accepted a bid from blackpool for Paul caddis believed to be around 400k

Bid accepted but reports at Swindon end say its only £175k with a 20% sell on fee

The fee is £175k not £400k. I wish it was £400k!

17 Jul 2013 11:09:54
Hi, any news on us getting cook and rowlands back?, thanks in advance.

Who are ya?

17 Jul 2013 11:07:35
Burnley to offer Scott Arfield and David Jones 2 year deals today after both had trials at the club

Also expect a bid for BC striker Sam Baldock this week with City holding out for 1M

Jones, Arfield and Baldock for 1 million would be great. Austin will be leaving for 2.5 million, disappointing but board want money for him rather than nothing next summer.

Burnley are keeping tabs on Norwich midfielder David Fox who is allowed to leave Carrow

17 Jul 2013 10:49:06
Ross Turnbull is in talks with Bradford City.

His wags will be too much

I very much doubt this, why do people post rubbish? Bradford City are in Ireland at the minute and are trialing Gary Woods ex Doncaster in goal he played yesterday against Athlone.

Ross is a good keeper with a good pedigree and plenty of experience. Weren't Barnsley interested in signing him recently?

Doubt that.

We have Jensen and Woods on trial.

Good keeper, decent signing if true

No he isn't.

Jensen is not on trial with us.

Jensen was on trial.

He started for Bradford against Guiseley.

17 Jul 2013 10:40:55
Just confirmed by some one in the know at Everton that Tom Ince has agreed personal terms with club.

17 Jul 2013 13:06:53
I have also heard this, he would be a good signing for most teams in the premiership (outside top 4)

17 Jul 2013 09:58:36
Bristol City I talks with Billy Sharp old SOD player sould sign before Friday

You just made that up for the hell of it didn't you.

Johnnyred

No way would he drop down to that division.

17 Jul 2013 15:36:45
I really can't see Sharp dropping down a Division to play for us with Championship clubs interested

Not saying he wll but wh knows he won drop down a divison JET did odriscoll seems to have that pulling power

Sharp at BS3 today will sign before next week

Sharp has a close partnership with SOD so I think this story is very much true

I would be suprised if Sharp decided Bristol city was for him.

Though he does score nearly every time he plays at Ashton Gate.

17 Jul 2013 09:31:52
trialists tope odebjayi, isaac osbourne and caleb folan are hoping to earn contracts at blackpool after playing at kendal town in a friendly on tuesday night.

17 Jul 2013 11:31:28
that the one you lost?? with a full first team that ince put out

Paul Ince saying he's doing away with all the triallists, although he does say Obejaydi (so) and Folan did well

Isaac osbourne looks really good and has a perfect touch

Well possibly

I'm not a Blackpool fan but it wasn't a full first team.

After that shocking performance against Kendal Town, none of the trialists are good enough if they can't perform against Kendal (No disrespect) but if they can't perform what chance do they have in the Championship? We need to spend some money and buy two or 3 good players and get some loanee's in from Prem clubs

No that's the game where blackpool used a mix of youth players and trialists.

Full first team, next joke, there was only Halstead and Harris connected to the first team. Then a mix of trial and youth players. get your facts right.

There was seven trialists playing

Yes that was a full first team with 7 trialists starting

17 Jul 2013 09:26:00
West Ham are being linked with a loan move for Scott Sinclair however Newcastle United head the list for his signature

17 Jul 2013 08:52:04
watch vargas on youtube guys. he has fantastic energy will take on and fly by defenders. a great signing!

He hasn't signed for boro yet Mowbray has said talks are at a very early stage so let's not count our chickens before they hatch

17 Jul 2013 15:04:41
Its the plays you don't see on you tube that need looking at. Do you think that's his game for 90mins?

18 Jul 2013 08:37:24
if you watch youtube correctly there are clips of him battling back tackling and playmaking what else apart from scoring goals do you wish to see. came runner up to naymar last season he has a good international rate of scoring. yes his league form of 1 in 3 isn't the best but he is a wide player predominantly. i'd be happy with that

17 Jul 2013 08:40:15
Bradford City are looking at a few players over in Ireland playing on Thursday and Friday. Source: Phil Parkinson

17 Jul 2013 14:04:43
Care to elaborate?

That is all what was said.

It is understood that Mark Salmon is one of the players that Phil Parkinson is looking at.

17 Jul 2013 08:40:01
All transfer gossip has gone quiet at West Brom. This is because they are waiting to see what happens at Chelsea. Especially now Rooney rumour has started.
Albion believe they could still get Lukaku for another season and would like to partner him with Anelka.

A lovely idea, but it'll remain just that.

Lukaku wants to stay at Chelsea JM rates him in his plans for up coming season. That is just bull!

As much as I would love to see Lukaku back this coming season I just don't see it happening, albion need to move on to other players although who ever they sign will be inferior Lukakau is class

17 Jul 2013 12:46:21
Why is it "bull" as you call it? No-one said they are definitely signing him. Just that they are watching what happens and hoping they might be able to get him for another season. You can't tell me they wouldn't want him again.
They are watching the situation that's all and remain hopeful. That's not "bull" it's fact. I expect other clubs are doing the same.

It's time to leave the Lukaku thing behind now! And all the other West Brom rumours they never happen, they have a plan, they keep it quiet and they deliver! Us fans will be the last to know but lately the club doesn't Let us down! Boing boing!

Armundo sudokio

17 Jul 2013 08:14:48
Scott Mcdonald may be going to millwall

It certainly would be a 'very good' signing for the club! but wages? & would he want to come to us? we'll see? coyl

It is 'OBVIOUS' to everyone at the club that we 'NEED' a 'DECENT' striker before Aug 3! Over to you SL?

Now that is a player I would like for us hopefully we can afford the wages and transfer fee I am confident him and morison could get easily 20+ goals between them

Bournemouth are looking aswell

17 Jul 2013 14:26:32
Would like Scotty to stay at the Boro as I believe he could get 20 goals injury free and played!, otherwise someone's getting a very good player.

To old at 30 we need someone younger and hungrier, sl i'm sure will look at a few players from scotland.

Great technical striker, although maybe lomas should take a punt on a young speedy striker from the lower leagues,

Andre Gray caused us problems in the fa cup last year?

I'm 'greedy' i'd sign mcdonald tomorrow & possibly simon church who has plenty of 'pace'! surely morison could have a word with him?

To old at 30 firstly he is 29 the same age as morison he's a proven goal scorer in this league I would take him anyday but that is my opinion at end of day

Too old at 30?get a life someone! mcdonald is 'better' than anything we've had at the den for a few years! & that includes wood!

He scored for boro tonight in friendly so price will go up. non starter I think

Why? That is up to McDonald! If he prefers to play 'REGULAR' football or just be a 'BENCH WARMER'? I know which one I would 'CHOOSE'?

17 Jul 2013 07:07:02
A friend who works at the council is telling me that AFC Wimbledon are on the verge of unveiling plans for a new stadium on the dogtrack site on Plough Lane. It will be a stadium-led mixed use development in conjunction with a consortium of housing and retail stakeholders with an initial capacity of 10,000 (with 8000 seats and safe standing of 2000). The current owners of the site are on board.

Hearing the same rumours. Will believe it when It is confirmed, would be a fairytale.

{Ed029's Note - Hope it's true. I've got a big soft spot for Wimbledon. I hope a new ground doesn't have a negative impact on the playing staff though.

Nothing will be announced until late August at the earliest but like ed said I hope it doesn't effect the playing budget etc. Come on you Dons!

17 Jul 2013 05:48:00
West Brom and Borussia Monchengladbach are set for a head-on-collision as both clubs attempt to sign FC Basle stars Valentin Stocker and Mohamed Salah.

Would love too see that stocker at the baggies, class player

17 Jul 2013 02:16:14
Barca youth left back Brian Olivan supposedly on his way to bhafc

17 Jul 2013 00:18:51
Andros Townsend interesting west brom manager Steve Clarke especially if graham Dorrens moves on

Now if that happened I would be happy!

I hope too god we dnt get townsend call that a replacement for dozza! he couldn't walk in dozza's shadow

Townsend is a quality player. I think the third comment comes from someone thinking of Andy not Andros

Townsend is an average championship player at best, very lazy and has a bad attitude! the third comment hit the nail on the head don't want him at the albion. that stocker lad is the type of class we wanna see down the hawthorns I would be well happy with that bit of business mr peace

17 Jul 2013 00:06:07
Fulham - Jol to get £20m transfer funds - expect renewed interest in Bent, Huddlestone and Odemwinge.

Coates from Liverpool £5m
Rabiu from Evian also a target.
Sako deal from Wolves likely to go ahead.

Jol has said he needs more pace in the team.

Not sure Bent is the answer, would prefer to look elsewhere.

This could be a very interesting transfer window for Fulham - clearly need players and will now have the funds albeit will not go crazy at the first time of asking. Funds will be needed for stadium redevelopment which is important for future recruitment. Jol will be given the opportunity but will need to get results early on, a poor showing at the start together with last season's poor showing would see him out by November.

Wolves fan here, though I and many others would hate to see Sako leave, Fulham should really pay the four million pounds for him, in todays market it is still a cheap price and he really is worth it.

Happy with 1 from - Bent, Defoe, Cisse, Ba or Remy

Don't believe Odemwingie is on the way.

Everyone's in costa rica and he can't drive there, so no deal will happen for a while yet.

He's just waiting for more money.

I don't think we'd pay his demands.

I wouldn't want him either.

A chance for Jol to buy 2 or 3 young, talented players to fill the gaping holes in the squad, and then mould them into a tight and progressive 'team', for now and the future.
No need for 'ambulance chasers' or has-beens.

Bent is on his way to Newcastle

17 Jul 2013 15:17:05
Bent and Odemwinge would only be on the Bench most of the time - so both unlikely

Huddlestone is a possibility as is Sako (though he'd probably have to be flexible and play CM part of the time.

Coates from Liverpool £5m - no way - 5m to sit on Fulham's bench? might as well stay where he is.

Rabiu from Evian also a target - possible - don't know him well enough

16 Jul 2013 23:57:23
Leaving Luton Town are Scott Rendell and Lathaniel Rowe-Turner. They've been on trial at Torquay and Burton Albion respectively and are expected to sign in the coming days. Also, Stuart Fleetwood is having a trial at Alfreton, although he's holding out for a love to a L2 side or a higher placed conference team

Rendells a great signing for Torquay and get him playing ball and you will have one hell of a striker there

Rendell I don't believe is good enough, Conference player. Rowe-Turner not being taken on by Burton.

Oh, and Fleetwood has signed a year's contract for Eastleigh!

Couldn't disagree any more with you over Rendell he has a decent record in front of goal when given a chance and we all saw what the lad did against Norwich. Showing that he can play at a higher level than conference. Although he's not the quickest of players his techincal ability is decent
