The other championship club!

There are a lot more clubs in the championship and
other leagues living well beyond there means!
In the next year expect at least half a dozen clubs
to go into administration! that will then leave small
well run clubs to enjoy and flourish!

sadly, you're not wrong :( and as always it's fans who suffer the most.

the fa don't care though - time to get rid of them as they do nothing for the game.(3)(5)

Liverpool are targetting January Transfers for:

Keisuke Honda (11mil)
Lisandro Lopez (14mil)
Lassana Diarra (10mil)
Ibrahim Afellay (4mil)

afellay for 4m, the same afellay that just scored two goals for holland and set up the other two, get real. Why would honda or lisandro join a mid-table team. .pfft, although honda will move probably to Milan and diarra is a maybe, not playing at Madrid but still liverpool won't get him more like Dickson Etuhu. .haha {ed's note - Afellay is coming to the end of his contract isn't he? Honda has been asking for a move from Russia, he is not happy and his agent has said he wants to play in the EPL. By the way thanks for the mid-table thing, I would have said bottom 3 was not really mid-table myself though....}(7)(4)

You hear another championship will go bust!
Who, I have an idea, but please do tell?(0)(1)

 15 Oct 2010 20:56:31
The Championship could soon be running with only 23 teams, if Portsmouth go bust on Monday.

After today's story in The Daily Star (crap paper, but believable story), the south coast club could go out of existence next week as they have no cashflow.

If this happened, Fratton Park would be sold for either housing or to Network Rail so as to expand the Traction Maintenance Depot (TMD) at Fratton.

An AFC Portsmouth could form for next season, and could play at Moneyfields, US Portsmouth or at Havant & Waterlooville. However, barring a miracle, it appears to be all over for poor old Pompey.

There will be a clamour for their players, and promotion/ relegation will have to be re-thought if the league will run with only 23 teams.

I hear that by May 2011, another Championship team could also cease playing due to accrued debts mounting up and 'book-cooking' by accountants.

Watch this space!(14)(3)

UNITED this summer:
Out:
Rooney(£75m) - Real Madrid

REASON: Fallen out with Ferguson, about his ankle injury. . no player is bigger than the team, remember Stam, Ince, Keane, Van Nisterooy, Beckham, Ronaldo?
Is Rooney next?

In:
Yoann Gourcuff (£20) - Lyon

REASON: Unsettled at Lyon might be a good replacement for Scholes? Laurent Blanc has suggested to his former coach

While I believe that Rooney might end up at Real Madrid - I can't somehow see them paying 75m for a player with one year left on his contract when if they wait the can him for nothing and given United's financial situation they'll take whatever they can get for him.

likely to happen, but fergie will want benzema if kaerzahkov turns down a move to old trafford.(4)(6)

I am being told that Mill Financial will launch a bid to freeze the American assets of NESV on Monday. They plan to take NESV to task over the sale of Liverpool LFC. The Premier league refused to carry out its owners and directors test on Mill Financial, an arm of US hedge fund Springfield Financial Company will claim that they should have been given a say in the sale of the company and technically they do still own the "assets".
As for the Glazers they have problems in America as their malls have been hit by the world wide recession so their strongest asset is Manchester United. At this present time they are very unlikely to sell the club. I also believe that a number of large sponsorship deals will be announced in the next few months. In the long term though United are being monitored from Saudi Arabia. In 2008 the club played in a friendly match against Al Hilal Club in Sami Al-Jaber's testimonial match which is owned by Prince Abdulrahman bin Musaed. His family's wealth is estimated at $17 billion. I have been told that the Saudi Royal family have had a great interest in United ever since.
Rumours about Rooney's move to Real Madrid are just that. Rumours started in Spain. I have been told by someone from First Artist Corporation that he is very happy at the way the club and manager stood by him over the last few months and during his court case with Paul Stretford. On to Fernando Torres agent, Margarita Garay of Bahía Internacional is touting Torres's services he is likly to leave the club soon along with Pepe Reina his agent Manuel García Quilón has been talking about a future move in the summer. {ed's note - Reina's agent has done no such thing, complete and utter lies.}

Reading between the lines of this, you have got to be a man utd fan, is this a bit of jealousy because Liverpool have cleared all of there debt.or do you just like sitting behind a keyboard making up crap because you hav'nt got a life

THE YANKS ARE DEAD LONG LIVE THE YANKS. . .lets hope the new owners can finish off what HICKS STARTED. . . WE all know the clubs glory days f. king over. . .h66

Now, now we know people react differently to change, mainly through them being scared of what will happen! as they can't see the anything other than whats in front of there eyes.

Lets hope whoever you support doesn't get dragged into an ownership/ debt/ administration fight.
But the SUPPORTERS of the game should stick together and be gratefull a BRITISH association fought not only LFC but for most premier league clubs.
think into the future compadre, stable, profitable, non sugar daddy clubs will be the making of the best league in the world.(6)(4)

"This take over was a fix by broughton, his mate at barcalys cap red soux fan, mates with jwh, in for profit liverpool fans we can not compete with man city, utd, aresnel, chelsea, we will be mid table team, never top 4, wait and see, just rememer what i am saying add, we needed real pepole with money, not any more americans!"

In response to this. I and the majority of Liverpool fans I am sure are just relieved that we're now back on an even keel and am looking forward to returning to the days where we brought people through and re-invested all of the profit back in to the club. Now we are not paying £40m a year in interest presumably this can go back into the squad along with whatever the new owners decide is appropriate to put in. Sure there will be no instant fix, it'll probably take years to get to where we want but the days of Chelsea, City et al spending ridiculous money are very nearly at an end. Deferred gratification my friend. Something sadly lacking in todays world. Let's win things instead of buying them eh? That until very recently was the Liverpool way.

Thanks to all involved in getting rid of those two shysters

Liverpool are targetting January Transfers for:

Keisuke Honda (11mil)
Lisandro Lopez (14mil)
Lassana Diarra (10mil)
Ibrahim Afellay (4mil)

Ryan Babel and Christian Poulsen will be on their way out. Insua's loan will also be made permenant for 5mil.

With Liverpool in a dire position in the league, the club can't attract players like Mata who have been mentioned in the press. In the summer, if the club are in for European football, they will spend big in order to get the club back into the Champions League.

It is unlikely however that Roy Hodgson will remain as the coach. Manuel Pelligrini will be approached in the summer.(21)(22)

Re kranjcar! actually both he and harry have stated no movement will happen kranjcar quoted in the croatian press that when he is given the chance he will take it!, im surrounded by by proably one of the best squads & to leave would be a step down and i want to move forward and spurs is how i will do it! his father was asked the same question when he was here with montenegro and said nico is going no where! quotes were from evening standard, metro and various web sites so who ever you support give it a rest pls as squad wise and potential he see's the likes of villa, everton and liverpool as a step down!(15)(10)

Aston villa are looking at Keane or owen in january. They will be fairly cheap but will get goals. Houllier wants to strengthen his strike force.
Carew will leave in the summer not jan just so villa have options to choose from.

Niko Kranjcar is an option as well. Houllier wants more quality in his squad.
Carick, Gago and diarra are all CM houllier is looking at. Villa are weak there with only petrov and reo the only good options to have there.

Sidwell will be leaving along with Davies in jan.

It will be busy for villa. Randy will give houllier a good amount of cash to spend(13)(13)
