Now charlton have secured promotion to the championship Chris Powell is now starting to locate targets and some have already been publicly stated such as ;
Francois zoko from Carlisle even though I don't no why
Also Jamie vardy is on their list but will have to pay an extreme price for the player coming against the likes of Blackpool for him.
Aswell as seabourne from Southampton.
Kyle lafferty from rangers.
Matt mills from Leicester because he has become out of favour with Nigel Pearson.
Lastly hogan ephraim and Paul coutts from preston(7)(9)Matt mills yeah dream on mateNo way u will get coutts'mllls going no wherePreston are in deep financial trouble and will settle for around 300k for Coutts which is what we WILL offer, we were after him in the summer but we went with Stephens instead, THIS IS A FACT WE WILL SIGN COUTTS!You wont get coutts he is buying into the Westley way and enjoying life in prestonRe Coutts - Is that because Westley is such a top manager or that PNE are such a massive club? Get real fella he'll want to move on given the chance!

wolves looking at craig bryson,in prep for championship football(8)(11)Who is Craig Bryson?

14 Apr 2012 21:16:23
luke varney, jason pearce, dave kitson all leaving the team, even if the team goes to league one(18)(2)Not if, but when.It will be a lot more players than that mate & it will be when you go down not if. You have some tough times still to go through.
As a Leeds fan I know how you feel right now and wish you good luck getting back in this league.
At least your club's still alive.Charlton Fan - Survival is the key, keep the faith and one day you’ll be back, hopefully soon. They will leave along with quite a few others but as long as the club survives and keeps it's promising youngsters who are currently on the edge of the first team, Pompey will be OK in Div 1 and will return to the Championship in a yer ot two.

14 Apr 2012 21:13:34
massamba sambou to sign portsmouth fc(3)(12)

53 million in debt......freebies only I suspect.

14 Apr 2012 20:11:06
Ipswich town source says they're in for Goalkeeper 'Logan Bailly' from Borrussia Monchenglabach, although he's currently on loan at Genk. They're said to be offering £500.000, as they look for a potential no1.(11)(7)

14 Apr 2012 18:46:15
Dean Smith will be replaced as Walsall manager at the end of the season, even if the Saddlers stay up. With Smith being offered another position at the club.

Craig Short and Paul Peschisolido are rumoured to be linked with Walsall(4)(13)

14 Apr 2012 17:05:51
Already a done deal Tommy Lee to Sheffield United for a fee in region of £600,000. That,s from someone at the club.
Worrying though if (when) we go down I can see Shez keeping Fleming as his number one to save cash!(4)(13)

Southampton Ins

Matt Jarvis - Wolves £5 mill
Thomas Ince - Blackpool £2.5 mill
Matt Upson - Stoke £600k
Jay Rodrigez - Burnley £5.5 mill
Ali Al-Habsi - Wigan £4.75 mill

Outs

David Connoly
Rhadi Jaidi
Danny Butterfield
Jonathan Forte
Ryan Dickson
Jason Puncheon
Danny Seabourne(10)(24)Not if you don't go up. Don't count those chickens just yet!Jarvis maybe although other clubs will want him. Ince maybe, although personally I'd prefer Matt Phillips. Upson, hopefully not, I'd prefer Tomkins or someone like that. Rodriguez yeah, maybe Hooper is another target? Al-Habsi, I'd rather have Mignolet or Hennessey.Jarvis - 6 Mill to stoke
Al Habsi won't leave north west
Upson is past it
Rodriguez going to a bigger club than southamptonLot of money to spend for a side in the championshipSo let me get this correct wolves with no debt are going to sell jarvis who has played for england in the last 12 months for 5,000,000. When there are plenty interested.Rodriguez for more than jarvis, prem proven, come on! plus i think wigan might stay up so why would al-hasbi move, mignolet dream on mate!!I wouldn't be that pleased with any of those signings, apart from Matt Jarvis. £5m would be a good price, his form since his England call up hasn't been great. I agree with the other post, I'd prefer Phillips from Blackpool over Ince. I'm not sure whi Saints are being linked with goalkeepers though? Davis has a good few years left in him yet and Bialkowski is a decent young cover. Saints will need a CB or 2 (not Upson) and some solid wide support for Lallana. 1 more striker would help too.
Let's be honest, we need to win our last 3 games and get into the Premier league before we start creating our imaginary shoping lists anyway!
Big result needed tomorrow night, and if Bristol City can win too, that would make my day! Pompy down and West Ham 6 points adrift!

14 Apr 2012 13:50:26

jamie vardy and matt richie both to sign for Leicester.(14)(25)Leicester are odds on to win the league next year, as by the sounds of it, they will have every player outside the top four in the prem playing for themYou do realise them players are league 2 and below. . .What bookies has Leicester as odds on next year? if so they need to sack there expertsWe will be promoted next year 100%Ritchie is going nowhere!! He has already stated (Repeatedly) that he wants to stay with Swindon providing they are promoted this season....Please please sack clueless pearson the judas ponyo why why did they have him back the quicker they do this the better season over now so get ridWhat has changing manger achieved for us in the past? People forget what pearson has done, promoted from league 1 straight to playoffs an a good run in the fa cup, he needs our support so back the team whoever the manager, pearson can do it.

14 Apr 2012 06:49:05
If Newcastle get into Europe their targets will include Wilfried Zaha , Victor Moses, Romain Amalfitano, Douglas, Debuchy and Anthony Knockaert.(12)(27)I think you're probably spot on but Mark Davies is meant to be a target too!Newcastle are in europe but pretty accurate mebbe a striker if ba leaves

Derby county to sign Krystian pearce
on free transfer and get Reda johnson
in make sure they have cover for the
defence.As Captian Shaun barker has
a lengthly injury. Both were seen on
Seperate occasions at moor farm and
Pearce has stated his desire to move
up the football ladder without moving
out of the area.(5)(18)Why would Reda take a step backwards and go to a small club like Derby when he's at the "MASSIVE" Sheffield Wednesday
Dream on pal

13 Apr 2012 21:59:02
If Southampton complete the loan capture of Thibaut Courtois they will return to make an ambitious move for Kevin De Bruyne for the season to replace departing Jason Puncheon. Chelsea are keen for De Bruyne to get Premier League experience before making his first appearance for them.

Thibaut Courtois is attracting interest from Real Madrid, so he's obviously not gonna go there(6)(19)If Saints do manage to reach the Premiership and i'm praying so hard that we do,judging by what we saw last night against Reading, and yes, I was there,so i'm not just an armchair spouter,we are going to have to have a massive spend on players capable of handling it. On last night's showing we don't have many who can make the step up.Our defence is slow to the point of embarrassment,
midfield needs a bit of pace and pep,and if
we'd had someone like Roberts up front alongside Ricky,oh well,we didn't.No good saying Saints til' I die, that scares me,been Saints since 1952,got a right to a little moan.

13 Apr 2012 20:21:54

Morgan is in talks with John Rudge about director of football job but seeking his advise about next manager(7)(32)John rudge he is old has the hills morgan taking the p againIt is sooooo very funny when Wolves fans get on here. Mate your club will not attract anyone near that quality now, your too late.

13 Apr 2012 16:42:19
Re Reading outs: Kanu to Watford - Kanu doesn't even play for Reading, he's at Pompey.(8)(5)He means Hal Robson-Kanu who does play for ReadingEven if it was Pompey's Kanu, isn't he 150 years old? (An exaggeration, I admit). {Ed025's Note - yes mate...he,s 165

13 Apr 2012 15:30:09
Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Nottingham Forest and Southampton are all set to offer Grant Leadbitter a deal when his contract at Portman Road expires. It seems Ipswich are paying lip service to the possibility of him staying here and the majority of the fans are expecting him to head to Boro.

Ipswich likely to look in the free agency markets for a central midfielder and keeper this off season with any transfer budget spent on the defence.

The most likely keepers heading to Portman Road are Joe Lewis or Ben Williams who are both out of contract with their clubs.(12)(5)Leadbitter is going to Middlesbrough
Source: ipswich sporting directorIpswich couldint aford lewis, petbro hard club to buy players from 20% of his fee be going to norwichWe dont have a sporting director

13 Apr 2012 14:45:58
Jason Pearce will join either Burnley or Leeds at end of season(24)(17)Leeds have contacted Portsmouth already with a bid of around £800k, think he's worth more personally.

Likely destination is to Anfield, as he feels he has more of a chance of first team football.(19)(16)

13 Apr 2012 13:24:13
Cardiff City to make summer moves for Marcelo Trotta and Alexander Kacaniklic from Fulham and Manchester United's Tomasz Kuszczak(8)(10)Strangely all these players have been on loan to Watford. Obviously a Watford fan having some fun with Mackay always taking players from them. Nothing in this at all.Trust malkay to want all watford have had,get your own imaginationYou are welcome to Trotta
KaKa - no chance
Kuszczak - even less

13 Apr 2012 12:06:47
I am a burnley supporter and my mate is good friends with Brendan flood who said to him that Newcastle are offering 6.5 mill for rodriguez and Fulham are offering 9 mill don't believe me watch this space -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(9)(31)We will watch you be proved an person thenAFAIK, his contract is up in June and could go on a free. even if he signed an extension, why would anyone pay 6.5m, let alone 9m?

13 Apr 2012 12:04:59
Just found this site- my brother is a lawyer working for sunderland's transfer office where logistical side of deals and negotiations take place.

Sunderland already have a number of offers on the table- Michael Kightly and Kevin Doyle from Wolves (combined £8m), Heskey on a free from Villa (contract is up soon and they are talking to his agent) and lastly Danny Rose from Spurs (£3m)(10)(41)Yes very reliable.I think you are talking your brother out of a job

PuzzledIs your brother imaginary like you rumour?Lawyers have nothing to do with contracts they represent you in court. I think you mean a solicator who would be checking small prints in contracts! way to make up a rumour and pass it off as real dumass.Just found this site? Brothers a lawyer at the club come on suggest next time you go. Im making this up these are the players I'd like us to sign and what I think they are worth.8 million for Doyle and Kightly? I think you find Kightly is out of contract end of the season so can move for freeSounds about right paying a lot of money for crap like every year
HThere are no lawyers in terms if football as people who deal with the players contracts are called agents
PHYScO!!! {Ed025's Note - actually they are called...parasites!!

13 Apr 2012 10:58:00
West Brom are expected to sell last seasons star striker Peter odemwingie to fund west broms bid for fulham star andy Johnson. Super Roy H brought him for fulham back in 2008 and is a personal favourite of Roys. The deal expected to be about 6 million for him and selling odemwingie for about 7 million. Take note very reliable source!(7)(34)Yes, reading it on BBC sport is realiable :/

melwing28Is that the same Andy Johnson who's contract is up end of season? Don't think you source is that reliable. 6 million? Don't think so!Haha he's a free agent you person back to the drawing board, don't read to much into everything the Mirror tells youIf the Baggies are gonna pay a fee for someone out of contract then they deserve to get fleeced. Why would you pay 6 million for a player who is out of contract in the summer.(Fulham supporter)

13 Apr 2012 10:30:22
Hope it will be a good game tonight 1vs2 fancy saints though with reading's midfield situation(11)(9)Im praying Leigertwood is back today, will be tough without him, haven't seen a great deal of Mullins but Brynjar is more than capable of filling in, our main threat is going to be from set pieces though, if you dont concede too many corners and dont give away silly free kick you will be fineWe're normally quite good at defending set pieces, hopefully we will get an early goal, we normally win when we doCome on Reading!I'm a Leeds fan and I hope Browns thuggish behaviour dosent have a barring on Reading going up,Ie losing one off your best midfielders. good luckSaints all the way but I hope bot teams get promoted.I would love a draw, just to apply more pressure to West Ham. They thought this league would be a walk in the park and have been found out. Will be a good game we both deserve promotion , I don't care about finishing second I just want promotion come on urzzzz

13 Apr 2012 10:22:57
Swindon are interested in grimsby forward Liam Hearn to get the goals in league 1, looking at a bid of around 600,000 not 250,000 as said below(6)(10)Rubbish no way will we buy a conference player for 600k absolute garbage. That sounds realistic! What a load of tosh offer that and you could buy the full grimsby team lolCan you play football? Then we want you! Swindon Town, buy now - pay later. There will be tears

13 Apr 2012 10:11:43

13 Apr 2012 09:33:24
walsall are going to release defender olly lancashire with ipswich town his likely destination after fortmer saddlers boss chris hutchins tiping paul jewell of his quality(4)(4)I know we are rubbish but why would we want a Walsall cast off?Walsall will not release olly, he is a good defender and will probably be offered a new dealThe lad is to good for ipswich

Van Gaal new coach liverpool fc.(13)(7)Director of football replacing Comolli.

13 Apr 2012 09:02:17
Dutch newspapers saying Louis van Gaal is going to coach liverpool fc.(13)(12)Based on the last 12 months, you have a better shot of attracting Louis Spence.Hopfully

13 Apr 2012 09:01:23
Ipswich Ins
Brad Guzan - Aston Villa - Free Agent
Paul Taylor - Peterborough - £1 Million
Jason Pearce - Portsmouth - £500,000
Harry Maguire - Sheffield United - £800,000
Matt Lowton - Sheffield United - £1 Million
Matt Richie - Swindon Town - £700,000(4)(38)Ipswich all of a sudden have aload of money where from? no way will Ritchie leave unless it is near to the figure Paolo wants and £700k isnt the figure Ipswich need to get there calculator out of this rumour is true but i dont think it is but if it is they need to add another 100% on to the figure you have quoted we turned down 600k from Bournemouth in january and Paolo wants more if he goes. You will not get Pearce for £500k, he cost Pompey more than that and is club captain and almost certainly player of the season. Whilst it's true that the Administrator will accept lower bids than normal, it will take something more like £800k to get Pearce.Sheffield United will want more for Lowton and Maguire!I'm a town fans and all of these rumours are rubbish. Poster 1 we are bank rolled by Marcus Evans who made 100m profit this year and regulally allows transfer kitties of 4-5m a season which we always seem to throw away. Altough it is expected we are now tighting our belts with the new rulings coming in. Where have you been last few years?ITFC fan here the only one that may happen is Pearce should Pompey go down and I believe an offer in the region of 1 - 1.5m would be needed. Contract negioations broke down in Janaury with the player when combined offered for Ward and Pearce was accepted. Lowton has been scouted several times but looks to be staying with Sheff Utd. Other rumours are media hype.ITFC Fan, Brad Guzan would not be on a free, as he signed an extention to his contract until 2013, so we would have to pay a fee, I believe Guzan would like to move from Villa as his chances of first team games is deminishing, as Villa are looking else where in europe for another keeper to understudy Shay Given, so Ipswich would be a great opportunity for the regular No 1 slot he craves for, so come on Brad join the Tractor Boys, and you can coach Coddy Cropper our 2nd string American KeeperI highly doubt this considering Sheffield United turned down a £3.5 Million bid for Maguire in January from Newcastle. Also other Championship clubs have been looking to spend at least £2 Million for Lowton. Also what makes you think Harry n' Matt would want to go to Ipswich for?If you think you'd get the 2 sheffield united players for 1.8 million, then you need to wake up and get real.
And why would they leave the blades, who are going up, and are a much bigger club than ipswich.
Stop posting carp..

The planned takeover of Coventry City is close to collapse. The takeover was dependent on the Sky Blues remaining in the Championship.

With relegation all but certain, the bid from Hoffman and his consortium will be cancelled. This will leave Coventry facing administration and next season starting in League One on minus 10 points.

(6)

(0)

I thought you only got points deducted if you enter admin during a season? Ed is this the case or not? {Ed001's Note - no, you get a points deduction anyway.}

The takeover is not dependent on Championship survival. The investors (headed by Hoffman) are waiting to see where we are before making their decision. As you were, nothing to see here.

What a load of tosh , they are waiting to see if we go down , cus then the value of the club will drop even more .

-----------------------------------------------------

The club's value can't drop any more, it is worthless. In debt and running at a loss, with no stadium of its own.

The entire deal was dependent on Coventry staying in the Championship. But now Coventry are all but certain to be relegated, there will be another £4 million drop in revenue.

One of the consortium was shocked that some Coventry fans were boycotting the club in its hour of need. Irrespective of who the owners are, this wealthy individual was of the opinion that fans should support their club, not leave it in the lurch.

The consortium has collapsed. Hoffman may try and go it alone if the club enters administration, to try to prevent liquidation. But with no takeover imminent, the club will probably go into administration and start next season in League Two on minus 10 points.(8)(8)Sorry - meant to say "Start League One on minus 10 points" ;)Sounds very plausible. Cov in deep troubleDont u diss my club if u remember not long ago cov wear in the prem WE WILL B OK NEXT MAN CITY I SAY even if we do go down we will bild a team to go up to the prem sisu out rich person in watch this space

12 Apr 2012 23:49:40
Marc Pugh has rejected a summer move to Derby, stating that his desire is to play for home town club Burnley and reach the premier league.(15)(15)He needs to think carefully about this,by the time Burnley get back into the Premier
League he'll be too old to play.Silly boy.Well he can do one or the other can't he? Not going to the prem with BurnleyHe's obviously not bright. Derby are one of the best clubs in the Championship, aside from Peterborough, at taking lower league players and nurturing them into much better players. There's not Premier League interest in players like Brayford, Bailey, Robinson for no reason.I'm a burnley supporter and yes,we're not ready for the prem yet but with the youth policy that EH has brought to the club along with the already established senior pro's the future for BFC looks promising, the club is being run in the right way and with a young ambitious manager then who knows,im not going nto say we WILL go up next season but id imagine we'll finish higher than this season......Daz.a arealistic Burnley fan(great site by the way)

12 Apr 2012 23:17:29
Gianluca Nani is going to Watford as techncial director.(4)(12)

12 Apr 2012 22:47:48
Peterborough United are set to sign in the summer Liam Hearn from Grimsby, Michael Bostwick from Stevenage, Stephen Gleeson from MK Dons, Tom Kennedy from Leicester, Michael O'Coonor from Scunthorpe and Gillingham's Argentine keeper Gazziniga(9)(25)

12 Apr 2012 22:24:26
Samuel 'Sammy' Ameobi has been linked with a loan move to the South Coast. Southampton have thought to be wanting to boster their attacking options for the Premiership. Newcastle will be willing to let Ameobi, brother of Newcastle legend Shola Ameobi, go on loan as the prospect of european football will provide lack of first team football for the young englishman.(9)(16)If we manage to get Europe that will provide more football not "a lack of first team football".
Plus sammy was well involved in the 1st team before he got injured.Possibly should we bring in some more forwards. but shola, newcastle legend? really? He is injured

12 Apr 2012 21:27:01
Plymouth want to sign vine(12)(9)

12 Apr 2012 21:26:41
Load of rubbish. Forest will be sold within the next 6 weeks. Negotiations already finalised. The only thing that will potentially stop the deal going ahead is relegation. Not my words! came from a director.(12)(9)This is nonsense. No such deal has been completed and there are grave concerns at all levels within Forest

12 Apr 2012 20:53:25
If Southampton complete the loan capture of Thibaut Courtois they will return to make an ambitious move for Kevin De Bruyne for the season to replace departing Jason Puncheon. Chelsea are keen for De Bruyne to get Premier League experience before making his first appearance for them.(15)(13)Ffs, would you please stop tempting fate before coming on here with your bs.The same keeper that real madrid are on about signing? get realCounting your chickens before they have hatched springs to mindCan you imagine what saints fans will be like on here once they do get in the premier. It'll be Saints are signing Ronaldo, Rooney and Messi to help saints champions league expectations. What a load of balls. Courtois is going to stay at Atletico for another year!
De Bruyne will be straight into the first team squad least, may even start.

12 Apr 2012 20:11:58
Charlie Adam set to leave Anfield in thhe summer. Likely destination is Newcastle United. Adam wants to stay in the north. NUFC look to push for a top 4 finish next season by signing high profile players.(11)(41)Charlie Adam is simply not premiership class. No chanceIdeal player will give 100% & good value 4 money may not go well with Pardew but will with Mike AshleyAdam will be at liverpool next season defo1. i doubt newcastle will spend much the summer
2. pardew says last season hes looking for players who can help us play with a quick tempo (adam doesnt fit this)
3. no where near as good as cabaye or tiote, and his transfer fee would be inflatedI am a Newcastle fan and When at Blackpool, I said "Sign him up" and still did before he joined Liverpool but now I am kind of glad he never joined us, where would he play? Tiote and Cabaye one of the best centre midfielders and partnership in league while Charlie Adam one of the worse in the top halfYes, he's nowhere near good enough for Newcastle - may go to a newly promoted side for 2/3 m {Ed003's Note - rubbish}

12 Apr 2012 19:13:42
Brighton have had an offer (in principle) accepted by the Palace board to take Zaha for a fee of around 4million plus Dunk and Mackail smith in the Summer. Will be announced on Friday, story doing the rounds at national papers as we speak.(7)(51)They rejected 5 from LeicesterNo player in championship worth that sort of moneyThere are players in the Championship worth that sort of money but Zaha aint one of 'em, yet.Cant wait to see what all the fuss is about when he come to reading in a couple of weeks

12 Apr 2012 19:11:25
French club Caen are keen on signing Arsenal and Morocco striker Marouane Chamakh, if they manage to beat relegation to the second division.(12)(10)....Or he could just go to Barnet

No disrespect, first league two club I thought of

12 Apr 2012 19:00:10
French club Nancy are keen on signing young Tottenham midfielder Alex Pritchard on loan for the whole of next season, if he signs a new deal at White Hart Lane.(16)(1)

12 Apr 2012 19:09:04
Leicester City have made a bid for Celtic and Republic of Ireland defender Darren O'Dea, currently on loan at Leeds.(8)(29)Absolute rubbish as he is out of contract in the summer. They can have him.Have him Leeds will be more than happy to take mills, beckford and king off your hands seen as Leicester are going backwards

12 Apr 2012 19:05:09
Emile Heskey interested in a return to Leicester City in the summer(30)(15)Heskey only interested who,s going to give him biggest pay dayWhich would probably be Leicester, unless city are interested, i think he'd add alot to the current city sidePlease no ?

12 Apr 2012 19:04:45
Norwich will look to snap up young Leeds defender Aidan White when the players contract expires in the summer(28)(10)This rumour is on Wiki player info, Leeds trying to offer him deal to stay, however with Bates offering peanuts no doubt he will choose to go to Norwich and premier in the summer with compensation to be decided by tribunal because he is under 24 and no doubt Bates will want way more than he is currently worth,
Irish U21 player who has great potential to make the step up, just the kind of player he would go for, and Norwich need another left back to provide competition for Tierney as Drury will almost certainly not be offered a new contract due to his age.

12 Apr 2012 18:49:38
If Portsmouth stay in business in the summer, manager Michael Appleton is keen on signing 19 year old midfielder Fraser Fyvie from Aberdeen.(6)(16)He was watching Joe Partington Bournemouth midfielder last week on the advice of Pompey captain Jason Pearce ex team mate of PartingtonHow will he afford them? The club's debt has risen to £53million, the club is worth less than a 5th of that. They won't survive. Best option is to get a phoenix club going, and hope some of the local heroes go with itThik buying players where ther is also interest from Premier and Championship clubs is unlikely. However, to the post stating the scale of the debt, he or she might also consider that there are still large sums in parachute payments to come to the club and that a CVA will be progressed to take up the remaining debt. Pompey are in poor shape, but the post ignores the route away from the debt mentioned.Portsmouth will be sold for what Trevour Birch can get, its a waiting game as pompey who are more than likely to be relegated to div1, will be sold for say £5 to £10 milllion, the rest of the debt will be wiped out, so all the small businesses that are owed thousands of pounds will get around 2p in the pound, an absolute disgrace, Chainrai will have to accept only around £2 million rather than his £17 million he's owed, so h3e might be the highest bidder to try and get his money back

i have it on good authority that aston villa will be parting company with alex mcleish at the end of the season apparently villa have already approached roberto martinez at wigan due to the fact he is leaving wigan in the summer, lerner has lost patience with mcleish and has always been peeved about not getting martinez first time round he sees him as the ideal manager to take villa forward, certain players will come with martinez,

hugo rodallega
luis figureoa
diame
also martinez will be given a 30 million transfer kitty to get villa on the road to europa league qualification

a deal has already been set up to bring joe cole to villa, az alkmaar defender moisander and jozy altidore will arrive at villa matt etherington from stoke will join
villa and nico krancjar and james milner will arrive on season long loan deals
players that will be outgoing
heskey
dunne
warnock
ireland
collins
delfounseo
albrighton
delph

there will be a marquee signing at villa and apparently the player being mentioned is hamsik from napoli(6)(55)Marek Hamsik... To Aston Villa... Now I have seen everything! Wake up man!If Hamsik signs for Villa then I'm replacing Messi at Barcelona (who has cited Doncaster Rovers FC as his 'dream move')If villa are getting rid of mcleish why have the board allowed him to sign a player for next season BRETT HOLMAN.Lol as if villa would get hamsikWas believable till the hamsik bit

sigh

Custom Made xMartinez will not quit Wigan, nor will they sack him, even if they go down. So this rumour is utter tosh.Etherington has been interesting Villa but McLeish will stayWake up,eck will be here next season,he aint that bad anywayLol I wish mate if they all happen I'll take you on an all expenses paid trip to Amsterdam and you can fill your boots son in all the local 'services' {Ed003's Note - Ooo, can I come please, could do with some new clogs}Where are villa gonna get 30 million from and who would wanna goIreland & albrighton won't be leaving.
but hamsik! your having a laugh mate!

Racing Santander are interested in Diego Arismendi the Stoke youngster. They were one of two Spanish sides keen when he joined the Potters. A loan deal has been discussed for next season.

QPR and West Ham are the latest sides to show an interest in Kenwyne Jones

Stoke have made an audacious bid to sign Michael Carrick in the Summer

Aston Villa are interested in Matty Etherington

Jarvis will be Stoke's first Summer signing.

Stoke are the latest team to show an interest in Hoffenheim's Sigurddsson if the player becomes available permanently

Robert Huth has all but told Stoke that he will not sign a new contract. Interestingly Hoffenheim are one of the clubs interested in the German.

On a side note- Demba Ba has reportedly been struggling with a swelling on the tissue on his knee that resulted in him failing his Stoke medical. The player picked up a knock in the ACON second game and felt a reaction at Swansea.(6)(18)I come back to these fair pages and within five or six sentences, I see 'Carrick to Stoke'...Arismendi barely a youngster now! not a bad player really we've got him at hudds till end of season..... some1 described his style as flatter to deceive the other and thats exactly what he is spreads it about nicely but without making any in roads. isn't blessed with pace and would struggle to play anywhere above bottom of hampionship at push! (not worth more than 500k)Huth staying at Stoke due to FINANCIAL REASONSHush don't need signs a contract he's got four year run on the one he's got .that kills Ur rumours .I think you need to do some research aboveTo the above re Carrick.........Stoke did almost take him on loan this season but due to a signing not coming off for man U the deal fell through. Robert Huth has ONE year left on his contract and Stoke have offered him a new one some months back but he hasn't signed so get your facts right ...........that kills ur point :-)Garvis is a done deal. AT EVERTONHe may well be whoever he is.

In the mean time Jarvis will join Stoke it seems. I love these 'done deals that folk make up :-0Ricky Gervais will be ideal for Everton

saints will sign two full backs a goalkeepr a centre back a centre mid and a forward clyne palace whittingham cardiff butland birmingham upson stoke bridge and defoe(6)(21)Defoe? He was home sick at pompey, very much a family orientated guy won't leave london! No chance Whittingham will join Saints. If he moves from Cardiff it will be for an established premier league side. He's also just signed a new long term deal so it would need to be a hefty sum to get him. This is porving you actually get promoted. 1 point in 7 is hardly promotion form is it? Why would Clyne join you when he's got the likes of ManU, Spurs, Newcastle looking at him?

Stoke have been tracking Joe Cole's availability after failing to land the player on loan this season but are also keeping tabs on Lille's Lucas Digne who has impressed this season.

The Potters are also keeping an eye on PSG's Bahebeck. Scouts have watched all 3 players this season and are doing so again in the coming weeks.(4)(10)Why would joe cole sign?hes a footballerYep, Joe Cole would definately want to sign for Stoke, so he could run around in midfield for 90 mins, and not risk any injury or bad passes because he could watch the ball sail over his head for the best part of 60 Mins, the other 30 mins the ball is out of play while they take corners, Goal kicks and wipe the ball for their throw-ins.
Last Stoke match apparently the ball was in play for just 58 mins, and was the least in League again, must be a joy to watch every week.Stoke don't play football yawn yawn yawn.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I take it your club couldn't beat them you mean :-)'Why would joe cole sign?hes a footballer'

Come back when you've mastered basic English

Leicester manager Pearson has been told by the clubs owners that his budget will be curtailed during the summer.

However, they have promised "significant" extra funds for the January transfer window, if Leicester are in contention for promotion.

Pearson will be given £2-3 million only in the summer to invest, although any revenue from player sales will be reinvested in the squad.

The owners have warned they expect a dramatic improvement next year, given their previous investment. Pearson's future remains in doubt, especially if Peter Reid is appointed as Director of Football in June as expected.(6)(12)Where did you here this? Were still in contention for the playoffs. . . Why would the board say this BEFORE the season has ended? Would his job still be under threat if we get promotion and would we still only get 2-3mil? I think not, so made up?'Only £2-3 million' to start with. You lot don't know you are born. Who knew mediocrity was soooo expensive. Bigger flops than WHU. Also, Peter Reid in?! I think the expression is 'ha ha ha ha ha'.Peter Reid from a Leeds fan stay way away mate

The planned takeover of Coventry City is close to collapse. The takeover was dependent on the Sky Blues remaining in the Championship.

With relegation all but certain, the bid from Hoffman and his consortium will be cancelled. This will leave Coventry facing administration and next season starting in League One on minus 10 points.(13)(2)I thought you only got points deducted if you enter admin during a season? Ed is this the case or not? {Ed001's Note - no, you get a points deduction anyway.}The takeover is not dependent on Championship survival. The investors (headed by Hoffman) are waiting to see where we are before making their decision. As you were, nothing to see here. What a load of tosh , they are waiting to see if we go down , cus then the value of the club will drop even more .

12 Apr 2012 12:15:04
Norwich City will made an auditious transfer bid of £6 million for Wolves winger Matt Jarvis. Aston Villa, Liverpool and Sunderland are also interested.(14)(14)An audacious bid eh! On his way to stoke apparently£6m way too much, but he is probably about Norwich standard.Norwich can get much better value for £6M, he has been capped once for England, but is too inconsistent for Lamberts liking, let him go to stoke I say where he can run the wing and win throw ins so they can chuck them in, got to be the worst team to watch
in Premier, Oh and by the way Stoke are below Norwich so they probably need him more than Norwich anyway.Im norwich fan and im not fan of the way stoke play. But you should give stoke more respect. We already have good wingers so we dont need him

12 Apr 2012 11:52:26
Modric will move to Chelsea this summer, having tired of the extra season at Spurs.

It might depend on Redknapp's future but Modric may leave anyway.

The fee is likely to be close to a whoping £40 million, with Chelsea paying a down payment of £10 million and the rest paid over 2 and a half years(15)(10)Why would he go to a club that's not even in europe?I doubt Modric would want to move to a team with no CL footballThink it will touch the £40 mill chelsea did offer last term? But I think chelsea will have to pay in full! Its called GREED OR MONEY

a host of clubs including tottenaham, newcastle, aston villa, stoke and sunderland are all in the race to sign man city winger adam johnson who is allowed to leave the club in the summer for the right fee(9)(3)Stoke tried to sign him previously with no luck- maybe things have changed but apparently he wants a move up to the N East so would fancy SunderlandOr Newcastle with Euro possibly champs league footie... better team too with better players. Sunderland will need to buy some stars in the summerHe might favour a move to the NE, but probably has some ambition. If the rumour was true, he would more than likely favour a move to Tottenham or Newcastle. From a neutral who is able to see the BPL table.Think Newcastle fans are getting a bit carried away.......had a great season but will lose a few players in the Summer to bigger clubs. Not sure why you would invent a story that he would rather go to Spurs or Newcastle when he has previously declared he would like to go to Sunderland but you know better eh. Not a Sunderland fan but seems his preferred destination.

Celtic to join League 1 if Portsmouth go bust.(10)(50)Piffle. IF (and it is an IF) the old Firm were to come into English football I cant imagine they would come into anything other than a reorganised Premiership. Money talks and there is precious little of it in League One.
For the record, I don't want either of them in the English league FULL STOP.I didnt mention Rangers. . . Lol an it would unfair to put them straight in to premAbsolute rubbish !Anyway who cares, they are not going to be voted into EPL, it takes a substantial majority from the member clubs and they are not at all interested in bringing them into English league.UEFA and FIFA rules prohibit a club leaving their home FA to join a league in another one.
This applies in the UK just as much as it would if a club wanted to leave the Dutch league to join one in Germany.
Never going to happen. As much as i dont see this happening , explain swansea and cardiffTwo reasons for Swansea and Cardiff play in English league.
1. Historical-became members long before current regulations came into place.
2. Technically Wales isn't a country in its own right-its regarded as a principality of England, like Monaco is of France-although Monaco has greater autonomy. Its all historical now and not relevant-but
further explains their logical place in the English leagues. Were Wales to get full independance, they'd have to leave. Berwick, which is in England, play in the Scottish leagues-for reasons of geographical convenience. Again, if Scotland got independence, they'd have to leave.
UEFA and FIFA rules strictly prohibit any club leaving its national league and decamping to another.
The only way around this would be a breakaway league-the much talked about Atlantic League-which would be regulated by UEFA not the national associations.
