Stevie Ireland to sign for Manchester United in the summer!! 'people in the know' have told me that he has already spoken to Fergie, and wants to move to the club he supported as a boy.Expect this move to happen but expect the city fans to be up in arms when it comes about. Fergie sees him as the ideal replacement for Paul Scholes.

I cannot confirm the rumours that a number of transfers will take place between Manchester City and Internazionale but I can confirm that the head coach José Mourinho. Has made a brief visit to the City of Manchester stadium to speak to senior members of the Manchester City management group.
I can also confirm that Roberto Mancini was also at this meeting and that the manager's role was never discussed as José Mourinho will take over as the head coach of Real Madrid once his domestic season finishes.
José Mourinho wants to win the Primera División (La Liga) and the Copa del Rey with Real Madrid and to break the dominance of FC Barcelona in Spain.
I was also told that Mourinho is very confident that his team will knock FC Barcelona out of this years Champions League.
Another source confirmed that Mourinho will move to Real Madrid but for only two years before he takes over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Will people please stop harpin on about Torres leaving coz he won't be. He has stated that he would never play for another english club and that he already gets paid more money than he could ever spend so sorry city fans but he's no mercenary so he will never go to you for both these reasons. Also Rodwell will not be leaving this summer especially for the figures people are quoting on here, do you seriously think Moyes would let one of Englands best young prospects go for £15m when he got £24m for Lescott. Lets have a think before we put rubbish on here please. Rumours are that Kenwright will release some of the funds earmarked for destination kirby for transfers, Moyes will try to sign Landon Donovan, Nzogbia and Beckford, but may consider Owen.

Several rumours are being posted now about Milner going to Old Trafford. I posted 3 weeks ago telling all that the deal had been done behind O'Neils back and that's why he was pi––ed off. Several senior players heard the "discussion". O'Neil doesn't want Carrick but he might like Owen. Some idiots are stating £8m or £10m + Carrick. Now behave, if Carrick does arrive at VP then £20m will have to come with him. Villa lost a packet on the real value of Barry when Benitez offered chicken s––t for him and totally unsettled the guy so Milner will not go on the cheap. O'Neil is considering his options, he has stated this in the press and it would appear that the relationship with the owner has become strained. O'Neil has won nothing of value and time is nearly up. He has improved Villa but not acheived!! If he stays he will insist that he be allowed to buy a quality striker with the money he gets for Milner. Not some of it but ALL of it. He values Milner at £30m and that's where a real strikers value is to buy!!

Liverpool – with 4th now all but out of reach and 5th looking like hard work, LFC realise that there is much rebuilding to be done next season. With Benitez heading for Juventus and Mourinho merely using LFC as a thinly veiled smokescreen to land the Real Madrid job, the board will turn its attentions to a manager skilled at working on a limited budget. The new manager will be in place as early as possible (they will try to get him in before the World Cup) – top target is Roy Hodgson, but whether he wants to leave Fulham or the amount LFC would have to pay Al Fayed for his signature is another matter. Mark Hughes has been lined up should this fail.
Steven Gerrard will be sold – in all likelihood to Real Madrid who would pay up to £25m for the player. With the departure of Benitez, a major overhaul and a new system to be developed, Torres will be off. Barcelona are his first choice and Ibrahimovic could be offered as bait. However, Man City could match any offer Barca make and then some. It will test Torres' resolve as to what he wants more – the chance to play for the world's biggest club.or the money at Man City. The fee will be around £50m – doubling Liverpools original investment. Should Ibrahimovic make up part of the deal however, only £5–10m will exchange hands.
Albert Riera will also be sold. Likely to return to a Spanish side and the fee would be around the £5m mark (certainly nowhere near the £10m or so rumoured on here lately!). Yossi Benayoun likely to be sold for £8m and Alberto Aquilani for £10–12m – about the best LFC can expect (paid way over the odds last summer). The squad will be trimmed with a concentrated focus on experienced Premiership players to replace the departed. In all reality, while the fans would love to see the likes of Lennon or Walcott, they aren't going to leave stable clubs like Arsenal and Spurs to join a turbulent team going through a transitional period. Steven Ireland will be targeted as Gerrard's replacement with bids for West Ham's Collison, Cole and Parker. Graham Dorrans from WBA is another they are looking at. If Hodgson lands the job, then expect to see Bobby Zamora as his first signing with Brede Hangeland a possibility. The new manager will be given approximately £40m to reinvest in new players, the vast majority of capital generated through sales will be used to refinance the crippling loans. 2010/11 will be a huge season for Liverpool. They must try and claw back the ground they have lost and at the very least finish 4th. Failure to do so will just see City strengthen their position further as the latest member of the Platinum Club.

To the person who posted this,

MUFC IN
–David Silva £29m
–Chris Smalling £10m
–Javier Hernandez £8m
–Karim Benzema £27m
–Hernanes £16m
–Jerome Boateng £12m
–Manuel Neuer £18m

MUFC OUT
–Berbatov £22m Juventus
–Hargraves £9m Tottenham
–Owen £4m West Ham
–Carrick £11m Aston Villa
–Tosic £4m Koln
Although i can see some of these happening, however you can forget Hernanes, rumour has it he has a pre contract agreement with AC Milan, Boateng is 95% a City player, deal will be finalised before the world cup, and Neuer is a long shot, more likely that SAF has already done a deal with Akinfeev who is out of contract at CSKA next January, he has proven against United that he is good enough, and he is a more experianced keeper than Neuer, with the arrival of Hernandez expect owen to be out the door this summer, and if we manage to pull the Silva deal off then expect Carrick to depart, the major talking point in manchester at the moment is of Berbatov being ushered out and Benzema taking the nember 9 shirt next season, Tosic is a debatable one he has had a good start to his loan at Koln, and has impressed a few people, so maybe there is a place for him at United afterall, however the return to form of Nani, and the continueing reputation of Valencia means the wings are well occupied at the moment, and with Obertan waiting on the sidelines, maybe Tosic's days are numbered at OT, expect either or both Foster or Kuzczak to leave in the summer and Zieler to be promoted to No2 from the reserves, great young keeper, superb shot stopper.
OUT;
Berbatov £20 million, Juve/AC(shame)
Carrick £10 million, Villa/Newcastle/Everton
Owen £3 million, Everton/liverpool/Villa
Tosic £4 million, Koln
Neville retired
Kuzczak £3 million CSKA Moscow
Foster £5 million Tottenham
Total recoup £45 million max

IN
Benzema £25 million Real Madrid
Silva £30 million Valencia
Akinfeev Free (Jan 2011)
Total spend £55 million plus the £10 million already spent on Smalling and the £8 million spent on Hernandez brings total to £73 million, with a total outlay of £28 million if we sell the above named players for reported fees.

Please note these are only possibilies, not facts from john's dad down the pub who knows a fella who's dateing the bird behind the bar that used to go to school with the woman who's mum dated Fergies brother in school.

To the well informed person who said "i heard it was going to be a straight swap howson for doyle"

Doyle is on a free from Cov at the end of the season, therfore why would you even think a swap deal is possible. As for howson I don't rate him either, but he is highly thought of by the management and several championship clubs.

13 Apr 2010 19:29:50
Apparently, Torres's flying back to Spain was another smokescreen for a deal with Barcelona.Barcelona will offer Liverpool Bojan Krkić, Jeffrén Suárez + 30millions.Thiery Henry will be loaned and only signed if Liverpool agreed.Steven Gerrard will also part ways heading to Real Madrid.Liverpool will sign Steven Ireland, Simon Kjaer, Eljero Elia, Georgino Wijnaldum, Aleksandar Kolarov and Arda Turan.

MANCHESTER CITY NEWS

Deals have been done a dusted already, and some may just be rumours but could happen. Firstly Man City,

One deal done is Jerome Boateng from Hamburg, he will join in the summer as published in one of the weekend papers.

Maicon is being tracked aswell as Wesley Sneijder & Mario Balotelli from Inter

Yaya Toure is another option if Mancini decides to flog Gareth Barry who hasn't had the best time at City since Mark Hughes left, or he could come in if Sneijder doesn't.

The Torres rumours are true, but nobody knows what will happen with Fernando because he hasn't ruled a switch out to City.

Cesc Fabregas is wanted for £50m and rising, you could even see someone going in the opposite direction aswell.

Fernando Gago, now we have all forgotten about him, time after time after time he is being linked with Everton, Juventus, Liverpool, Tottenham etc, but if you remember , last day of January transfer window, the deal couldn't be done then, so it will be done in the summer.

TWO big names will come in , God knows who but the owners have set the target of two marquee signings. The players in the frame are:
Torres
Fabregas
Ibrahimovic
Iniesta
Ribery
Honestly, i think the only player from that lot who would come would be Torres.

LASTLY on City, Jose Mourinho or Martin O'Neill could come in, rumours have it that Mancini only signed a contract until the end of the season.

Bristol city news please! very quite on here regarding bristol city,

Bristol city are planning on making offers for the folowing players.

–Iwelumo– reasonably successful loan spell and wolves may cash in to provide extra funds (£2mil).

–Carsley– The experienced head has been pushed further down the pecking order after a season of injuries and would be allowed to go for free (stays near family– which is why he left everton).

Ryan Taylor– Bit part player next season, although there is mounting interest from qpr amongst others.

Duffy– Loan from everton, great young defender looking for first team experience.

A number of Burnley players who are available on free transfers such as Duff, Gudjohnsson and Blake are all being looked at.

Thanks Tim

To the people saying Howson is worth more 600k are you having a laugh or just never seen him play

I heard it will just be a straight swap Howson for Doyle

expect
Dickov, Milne, Hughes, Marques, Robinson, Ankergren and Beckford to be released
Sheenan and Kandol to leave as well and Maybe Snodgrass and Kilkenny if we are still in league one
next season (which looks likely)

Leeds also looking to taking up the 2 year option on Davide Somma

I very much doubt this will come about – but a move to New York does seem to have very realistic of coming off. Sharkey.

Any one got any other newcastle united rumours
seeing as we are back in the premiership

Tim here again. .

Realistic targets
Jamie O'hara – however will command around £6–8 Million due to the interest. Expect Stoke, Fulham, and Everton to be in the running aswell.

Joseph yobo – Everton will be looking to offload and Nufc looking for prem experience, low fee.

James Perch – notts forest. although I do not see his class, only his versitility, around the £1Million mark if forest do not get promoted.

Slim chance– Carrick – north–east lad however may have a good–world cup or United may choose to p/e for rodwell.

Other unlikely targets – Keane (spurs), Hutton (spurs), Kurayni (Schalke), Bullard (Hull), Boateng (pompey)

All the unlikely targets will not come off due to other interested clubs. O'hara would have been in that list however with Nufc history and definate 1st team player, he may opt for the toon.

In response to Ryan Bertrand, having a fantastic season at reading, however I believe he will go on loan to a different team next season either EPL or Twente. There is a chance that he will become 3rd choice left back next season however he will be fighting with Van Aanholt for this.

Other Free transfers – Makaay (Feyenoord) – vitesse
Johnathan de Guzman – (Feyenoord) – unknown

On a personal note I hope Liverpool sign C.Cole, Stephen Ireland, Scott Parker (maybe), Simon Kjaer, Kolarov or capdevilla and N'zogbia

Yes these are not world class players that Torres wants, but as a realist I believe we need English players that have experience and talented players overseas.

Gerrard has been poor, nobody can argue otherwise. If he does not perform well at the world cup then (although this hurts me to say but) we must cash in. He will go to Real Madrid for £30Mil. This is our last chance for top money, and he isn't going due to marriage problems etc, he like many before him wants a fresh challenge.

Carragher captain for a season then a toss up between Pepe and Mascherano who both have had outstanding seasons.

Until the next question comes

Thanks Tim

There is a lot of talk of Thierry Henry joining the MLS this summer and i personally have heard that he will be at colorado rapids by next year, becoming their big signing and then after a 3 yr contract he will join the Arsenal staff. This makes sense due to he close ties the 2 clubs have (kroenke owns the rapid btw and they are "partnered" as clubs)

13 Apr 2010 17:40:04
Seems like The Sn is taking all our transfer rumours!!

They're claiming that SAF is ready to cash in on Dimitar Berbat"off" and will spend £60m in the summer on Karim Benzema (Berbaflop replacement) & David Silva (Long term target).

Make of it what you will, but don't get any hopes up as it may just be rubbish paper talk.

To the poster asking for Forest rumours– there were deals in the making for Spurs' O'Hara and Man City's Onuoha and Etuhu. But with Billy Davies confirming to the board that he will be joining Rangers it has put a few spanners in the work. Should have got your green and gold scarves out in January when I told you this.

13 Apr 2010 16:58:14
Man U – will not re–sign Shawcross. They let him go in the first place because he was not good enough & he still isn't good enough.

Tootenham – Will have to sell before they sign again this summer, as the true cost of sacking & hiring managers, selling & resigning players bites. Out: Keane, Hutton, O'Hara, Jenas, Bentley (if possible!)& Pav. Assuming they don't qualify for the Champions League, they will struggle to hold onto Lennon, Bale & Modric.

Liverpool – Have serious problems in holding onto Gerrad, Mascherano, Torres & Beyaoun.

Following their recent journey into the south American market, MUFC are currently in negotiations to bring in one of the most sought after midfielders in the world. Sir Alex plans to snatch Hernanes of Sao Paulo from under the noses of Madrid, Barcelona and Milan. Also seems the rumours surrounding the Vucinic deal are a smokescreen for the signing of Jeremy Menez. Along with Yoann Gourcuff (deal already agreed) Karim Benzema (loan) and Gabriel Obertan, Fergie sees them as the next generation of French talent and the future of Manchester United. Interesting developments, watch this space.. RED DEVIL DIARY

Just heard from a mate at the Villa training ground (Maintenance guy) that a deal has been done behind O'Neils back between Gill and Lerner for Berbatov and Milner to move in opposite directions. O'Neil has left Bod'Moor Heath in disgust and now his future at Villa is in question. Its all kicking off their this afternoonwatch this space. Great news for Utd fans not so good for the Clarets..never mind.

They must try and claw back the ground they have lost and at the very least finish 4th. Failure to do so will just see City strengthen their position further as the latest member of the Platinum Club.

"..champions league football remains to be seen .for the first time in years liverpool fans can look to the future with a little optimism and maybe we will get the good luck this great club deserves.
regards neil.."

HAHAHA, you must be winding me up mate? The first time in years Scouse fans can be optimistic? Correct me if Im wrong but your lot have spent the past 2–3 pre–seasons littering online forums with posts that in summary, say "look out premier league, arabs are buying us, torres and gerrard will be joined at anfield by ____ and we are gonna finally bring the title back to anfield this season".

That my friend, is sheer, unadulterated optimism!
Onto rumours, and the one that's doing the rounds over here in the blue half of Merseyside is about Rodwell. Apparently United have bid £10million plus Carrick for the youngster, this has been rejected and it is expected that City and Chelsea are preparing £18million–20million bids for the player.

The One

I have heard on good authority that the wheels at Ibrox are now starting to turn and that the following is going to picking up speed soon:

1 – Ellis will complete the purchase of Ibrox and surrounding land. Will be confirmed once SPL has been won
2 – Smith, Mcoist and Dowell, will all be give new 2 year contracts.
3 – Boyd, Novo, Brodfoot, Beasley and Edu will all be given new and improved contracts. Apparently Novo will get a testimonial at end if 2013/14 season.
4 – McGregor is leaving to Tottenham in a swap with Hutton. Although they are expecting Birmingham to come in with a cheeky bid.
5 – Bougherra is a target for Sam Alerdyce, fee is around the 6/million with a sell on clause just like Cuellar and Adam have.
6 – Webster will be staying at Dundee Utd, as they want to keep their temp Capitan. Swap with Goodwillie and Bauneb are reported to be I the deal, and Fleck on a 1 year loan to get a full season under his belt.
7 – Walter Smith will only be given money to spend fromt he sales of players, as Ellis will be using the CL money to claw back the debit he paid out on
8 – Papac to West Brom – 500.00k
9 – Whittaker to Newcastle apparently sniffing around him for 1.5m ? why ?
10 – No names mentioned for coming into the club but apparently Ewan Chester and Ian Durrant have spent alot of time in Italy recently, are the Gers trying to find a new Gattuso lol.

Norwich City news:
Rumours of City targetting Dagnall are slightly wide of the mark, it's actually O'Grady that they have been scouting. An offer is likely to be made in the summer.
Otherwise, Elliot Ward of Coventry may be on his way to Carrow Road too. He is currently set to leave on a free and it seems the The Doc will be leaving NCFC at the end of the season with the other NCFC (Notts County) his likely destination. The Doc has proven he is quality at League one level

13 Apr 2010 13:29:47
Anyone got any news on who Forest will target in the summer ?

13 Apr 2010 13:36:39
All this stuff about Utd is crap. Cahill are you serious that is one of the worst. Carrick, Tosic, Owen and Berbatov will be out leaving Hernandez to cover 4 Owen, Silva will be brought in and play a central attacking midfield position helping out rooney if benzema doesn't come. Rodwell will not be signed this year maybe next but if utd don't get at least two of these players good luk trying to stay in the top 4. Glazers out now

13 Apr 2010 13:46:53
Rafa will not be liverpool manager next season this is why he was nothing given any transfer funds in jan , this was always the plan even if hicks and gillet were to stay , but it now looks very likely they will sale and the new owners will look to install a new manager as they will not be impressed with rafa record, 2 trophies in 5 years(maybe #3 europa cup) is not good enough with the kind of money they need to invest to make liverpool great again they MUST go for mourinho, but will he take it on without champions league football remains to be seen .for the first time in years liverpool fans can look to the future with a little optimism and maybe we will get the good luck this great club deserves.

Jonny Howson to coventry is more than possible, however £600K please lets get real, howson is young, talented and british, Bates will only take £1 million plus for him. Also can all you Cov fans please stop trying to push Micheal Doyle on us, the guy is a joke and is a complete and utter waste of a shirt.

Real rumours on this summers transfer dealings at Elland Road:

OUT

Jermaine Beckford – Everton – Free
Andy Hughes – Norwich – Free
Jonny Howson – Coventry – £1.25 Million
Alan Sheehan – Swindon – Free

Shane Lowry – Villa – Season Long Loan
Colin Coates – Crusaders – £400K

Liverpool

New ownership to be confirmed in the very near future..watch the press ; )

Sources at the Club expect any new owners to clear the decks with Rafa Benitez departing for Juve or Real Madrid

No use in posting any transfer rumours as this will obviously depend on the opinions of the next Manager..hope he is a "Special One" ; )

I say..Ding Dong

In reply to the post shawcross to spurs 7 million!
1. Man Utd have first choice , it was in the deal when we got him.
2. Stoke have put a 15 million price tag on him .
3. Stoke are in the black and don't need to sell so the bid would have to be high for them to consider it.
4. Possible England call up for world cup which would put his price even higher why sell before ?

Rumours going round Stoke that Manchester United have made a £20 million bid for the services of Ryan Shawcross and a player in exchange.

Any truth in this? Is Vidic staying?

Seems a high price tag with a player in the deal as well, I'm sceptical to be honest.

Liverpool rumours:
With a top 4 finish looking out of reach and 5th place even a huge challenge, without new investors Torres or Gerrard and 3 other big players will have to leave the club. Liverpool are in talks with 3 investors, one of which are naturally DIC, one is Prince whats–his–face, but still sees the debt as a stumbling block. Either way, at this moment in time Liverpool are, dare I say it, screwed.
At the minute Rafa is looking at 3 players. Kolarov of Lazio, a very good left back seeing as Insua isn't quite ready, Arda Turan, who has expressed a huge interest in joining with his "come–and–get–me" plea, and Milan Jovanovic, pretty much a done deal. At the minute, this will come up to about £18m, using up Rafa's £15m budget and more. So sales will see Steven Gerrard go to Real Madrid for £60m, with Torres Rafa's blue eyed boy. Fabio Aurelio is set to leave for Italy on a free, with Inter Milan heavily interested and rivals AC also looking. Benayoun is on his way for £12m, should anyone be willing to pay it. At the minute it appears CSKA are willing to do business, but Yossi wants to continue in a big league and could see his way to Atletico Madrid. Albert Riera is on his way, probably back to Spain for £10m. Where to, who knows and frankly who cares. Alberto Aquilani could also leave for £18m to make up funds, which will see a new CM and a new AM needed. Rafa will look to Greece for his CM, looking for someone similar to Mascherano while AM he wants flair and may take a gamble on Juan Roman Riquelme for around £4m.

Jerome Boateng from HSV is set to join Man City in the summer. Done deal. Story in several German papers today

13 Apr 2010 10:49:29
Regarding Tim's very long list of suggested deals. On the renewed loans front you said Griffin Stoke/Reading but omitted bertrand's loan from chelsea to the royals being renewed which has been rumoured recently.

Reading have a few young 'uns who've been attracting interest from premiership clubs recently but little definite expectations of movement as yet – most likely to move up a division – sygurdsson, pearce, mills and church. I don't think church will make it in the premiership – gets into good positions but doesn't quite have that extra bit of pace to consistently threaten in the top flight. Lots of blather about the others but I've yet to hear anything concrete.

Meanwhile at LFC, serious changes are afoot both in terms of ownership and on the field. Rafa's pre–benfica press conference – "mistakes" – was one part taking the heat off the players and one part laying the ground for his own departure.his departure isn't yet a done deal. In fact if the barclays capital deal ends up with gillet + hicks still in control and transfer funds available, rafa could still be in the driving seat next season, in which case the transfer targets are fairly obvious

Up front
Maybe Jovanovic (if not LFC then who else is in for him?)
Target man – strong both aerially and on the ground. Jones was only ever an interim choice – more likely C Cole if whu go down – but don't be surprised if a big, late stage career name gets signed as well or instead (eg Henry altho' I think gerrard's mate is US bound).tim's list of contract expirees gives a good clue
Nemeth – wants to stay in Athens but may have to leave LFC to do so. However, he hasn't matured as quickly as expected so maybe he gets his wish
N'gog – even for his young age, seen as too inconsistent to look like a serious contender at present. May get another season or may even get the AEK treatment if nemeth brought back. Tall but not yet an aerial threat of premiership standards

Wide
Chronic shortage of quality given that Babel is now first choice left flanker.
The main names in the frame have all been widely listed here before – and the reality is that it will come down to available funds. At the top end of expenditure (£12m +)– Turan, maybe mata, prob not silva, j cole (wage not fee the big issue), and walcott and lennon as outside chances. Mid range (£8m–12m)– Guardado, Lodeiro (maybe top whack), chung yong–lee. Cheaper end – see portsmouth + whu squad lists. Also mark davies of bolton

Bye bye to the sick notes – aurelio, riera (ditch your agent mate). Benayoun – will stay for better deal but could face dropping down pecking order so wait and see.

Central midfield
Lucas is finally looking like a first team squad regular but less like a mascherano stand in – but not yet an alonso replacement either. Expect a new dm to come in as neither plessis nor spearing will make the grade.also Ireland maybe brought in for the central role. Aquilani – don't know. Will prob get another half or full season to prove himself. Fail and he'll be back in italy by Jan 2011

Central Defence
Very inconsistent this year. I think all the main players will stay altho' Skrtel maybe jettisoned if the fee is right and funds are low. Kyrgiakos has done an ok job but he's played much more than anticipated when brought in and is fairly one dimensional. Top range targets include – Chiellini (budget buster), sakho, kjaer

Full backs
Interest in left backs Taiwo and Kolarov is well trailed but also under scrutiny are right backs Micah richards and van der Wiel who fits rafa's bill as a genuine wing back

Gk
Not sure I entirely agree wuith the earlier poster's view of Bouzanis. LFC has a lot of moerate quality keepers on its books and whatever happens with Cavalieri there will be signings. Youngster Areiolia (??) at PSG is one target I've heard about.

Youth – only Pacheco and Dalla Valle really look the part at present although there a few others in the frame for defensive squad roles. If lfc has a big budget pacheco may get farmed out on loan, but if funds are tight he will move up permanently. EL Zhar's had injury issues but should have moved up by now so expect him to get moved on.

In relation to a few other posts – berba's reputation is hardly pristine who would pay £15m for him?

And why on earth would Luis Suarez join Sunderland? That would be one dead agent who landed him there.

The experiment I contucted last week by totally making up a transfer and seeing where it gos has taking new life.It reached main stream media in Spain and Italy and now the Mail has run the story of Caceras from Barcelona to Arsenal via Juventus. Its not true it just proves main stream media copies this site.

Is there any newcastle united rumors now that were back in the prem ! :d

13 Apr 2010 10:28:54
To the person who said this:
"SAF is asking the united board for 60mil to buy benzima and david villa, he is selling berbatov as he hasnt made a good enough impact this season" i could honestly see this happening.

Why pay 30 million for villa? He's good, but also ageing. Berbatov will be ousted, and benzema is a waste of money too. The board won't allow 60 million, haha! as you have already seen, a lot of younger players have been signed, only expect a major signing like rodwell or someone to give rooney a hand up front, because god help me man u need all the help when rooney is out

13 Apr 2010 10:36:22
Just heard that Newcastle and the Mackems will be fighting it out this summer for the signature of Kevin Kurányi from Schalke 04! Mackems are favourite as they will pay higher wages but he was good friends with Peter Lovenkrands while at Schalke 04 and he has been keeping in touch with him about wanting to play in the Premiere League!

13 Apr 2010 10:37:03
Sorry to disappoint all you gooners but kroenke has agreed to buy the St Louis Rams, not sell his stake. Thus ending his interest in attaining full control of Arsenal!

13 Apr 2010 09:58:59
Whoever wrote that Johnny Howson will be going to Coventry for £600k and Michael Doyle will be going to Leeds for £350k..WAKE UP!

Howson is worth much more than £600k and as for Doyle, besides the fact he is out of contract at Coventry and won't command a fee, he is not worth anywhere near £350k, we have had him on loan all season and I can count on one hand the number of good games he's had.

13 Apr 2010 10:00:04

DOPE OF TEH DAY AWARD GOES TO: Will people stop saying that Chamakh is a done deal?
He is still holding talks with clubs including spurs, bayern, palermo, birmingham, everton, Arsenal and probably more.

TKE YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE SAND SUNSHINE! THE 50K 4YR DEAL WAS CONFIRMED LAST WEEK. CHAMAKH HAS CONFIRMED IT, ARSENAL HAVE CONFIRMED IT, BORDEAUX HAVE CONFIRMED IT. HERE'S JUST A FEW QUOTES FROM THE MEDIA IF YOU'RE STILL IN DENIAL!

"Chamakh, who scored for Bordeaux in their 3–1 defeat to Lyon in last week's Champions League quarter–final, has agreed a four–year deal that will net him £12m in total. One week ago, Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh was asked if his proposed transfer to Arsenal was so advanced that he was beginning to think of London
more than Bordeaux. ‘Do I already have Arsenal on my mind?' Chamakh, 26, answered ‘A little.' But he added: ‘Our end of the season is so important that I can't plan for life after Bordeaux just yet.'

"The Gunners have been linked to Marouane Chamakh for the best part of a year but the Daily Mail has confirmed he is definitely on his way to the Emirates in the summer – and on a free transfer, meaning Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will still have £45m in the kitty with which to strengthen his squad".
"Arsenal have tied up a deal for Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh after the Moroccan striker agreed a pre–contract and will join this summer on a five–year contract worth £50,000–a–week".

"Bordeaux president Jean–Louis Triaud confirmed Mirror Sport's exclusive that Chamakh is set to leave the club and join Arsenal at the end of the season".

ALSO – WHY WOULD ARSENAL SPEND £20M+ ON GONZALO HIGUAIN? HE OFFERS NOTHING THAT WE'VE ALREADY GOT AT THE CLUB. NON STARTER. THE SALE OF LADY BRACEWELL SMITH'S SHARES WILL RESULT IN A TAKEOVER LAUNCH BY STAN KROENKE. THERE WILL BE A HUGE AMOUNT OF FUNDING AVAILABLE THIS SUMMER BUT WENGER WILL NOT BLOW IT ALL. HE WILL LARGELY STICK TO HIS PRINCIPLES, BUT ONE OR TWO LUXURY ITEMS THAT MAY HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN OUT OF WILL BE PURCHASED.

13 Apr 2010 10:17:53
Hot off the press!HARRY REDKNAPP has quit Spurs!

13 Apr 2010 09:49:26
Arsenal news:
with Lady Bracewell Smith hiring Blackstones to sell her 15.9% stake in Arsenal, every1 is going crazy with anticipation. the truth is that nothing is going to happen in the near future. nobody will buy her shares yet, she is stranded, at least until May 1st:
Stan Kroeke: Silent Stan is clearly in pole position in the arsenal takeover race. He needs 10 more shares to breach the 30% margin, and so is a stonesthrow away from where he ideally wants to be. He has the informal approval of long time arsenal custodian Danny Fiszman, no who's shares Kroenke has first refusal. also, business man Shahid Khan has offered in excess of $400m for full ownership of the St. Louis Rams, of which Kroenke is 40% shareholder. he had until last night to accept that offer, and it is being very quiet as to whether he has done so or not. Kroenke could just buy from the 4% minority shareholders if he really wanted to. If he waits until after May1 to by B–S' shares, he stands to make a saving of over £80m. so of course he's wait. the truth is, that being so close to the 30% threshold means Kroenke doesn't actually need her shares. so in that sense she is powerless.

Alisher Usmanov: the Uzbek is currently second in the race with 26%. the economic downturn has had its effect on him, and it would be some time before he would be able to make a viable financial move for significant shares, by which time Kroenke may already have made his move. B–S may be reluctant to sell to him anyway, given the previous lockdown agreement. on the otherhand, if she is at all bitter about being kicked off the board by Fiszman, Kroenke et al, she may sell to him. It must be remembered that it is not Lady B–S' family who have the generational interest in AFC, rather it is her husband Charles' side, from whom she got the shares. so she is unlikely to have such a sense of emotion when selling the shares.
Danny Fiszman: Fiszman neither wants nor needs her shares, and probably couldnt afford the whole 15.9% if he wanted them. logic suggests he'll just stick around to foil any attempt by usmanov to cash in.
New Shareholders: a 15.9% stake is attractive, but not significant in anyway. one may get onto the board, but would have little or no power in comparison with the existing board members. it would be like owning a horse that can't run. so its unlikely that Blackstones are going to attracgt somebody to buy a share of Arsenal that is, effectually, useless.
as it stands, Stan holds the cards, and every1 knows he Silent Stan for a reason. so arsenal fans, wait at least til the summer before we start hyperventilating about the board situation, or at least til May 1.
now some transfer rumours:
Arshavin and Sagna have been linked with moves away. Sagna talk has been initiated by his own agent, and we all know agents are the scum of the earth. i don't believe either would leave, but if they were to, Sagna would fetch around £14m and Arshavin £15(to break even). leaving for sure are merida, silvestre, senderos on frees. fabianski will follow for £3m, and rumours are that Traore is tired of being third choice and wants a move to PSG, his boyhood club.he would fetch around £4m, but i have a sneaky feeling he may be used in p/e for Sakho.
eduardo is attracting interest from Lyon, and so may be used as p/e for Lloris, but i would personally prefer Neuer than Lloris.
vela will be shipped out on loan, Mannone too, and some of the youngsters. Gallas is faltering on a new deal, so expect big bucks spent in defence. campbell for one more year before he join the coaching staff.
coming in: 1 defender, 2 if gallas leaves. my money is on Sakho and Jerome Boateng.
1 goalkeeper: i hope AW doesn't go cheao and buy Green, who wouldn't be an improvement on Almunia.
Chamakh– done.
joe cole has been rumoured but this won't happen, he is looking for ridiculous wages and arsenal just doesn't operate on that sort of cowboy system.
hazard to come in, wenger will not miss out on him.
if sagna does leave (unlikely), Micah Richards is a readymade replacement.
1 dcm: my money is on a 1yr deal for Senna.
recap:
out: silvestre senderos merida gilbert gallas (frees), fabianski 3, simpson 3, traore p/e, eduardo 7, vela eastmong mannone and youngsters loan.
in: Neuer 12, Boateng 11, Sakho 8+Traore, Senna 3, hazard 13, Chamakh free, Galindo w/p, wellington silva jan11, nordtveit lansbury szczesny watt botelho promoted.

Man U
No big changes this year. I have heard that Alex is trying to sign Tim Cahill from Everton and may be willing to let Carrik go to Everton to sweeten the deal.

If Joe Cole leaves at the end of this season then Chelsea will look to bring in Ashley Young.

Man City.
Top target is a RB with Maicon topping Mancinis wishlist.

Liverpool
Arda Turan in advanced talks aswell as Kolarov for Lazio. QAdvanced talks with FEY for to of their young players. Big name signing could be

Clear up time regarding Gerrard rumours.. Sure Liverpool is a close knit place and everyone THINKS they know what's going on.. but like 90% of this page it is the drunken ramblings of the closing time pisshead.

Allow me to reel off FACTS in the spirit of our leader, Rafa:

1. Gerrard and wife are not a picture perfect married couple – who is? Breakup is not going to happen. Powder problem has been greatly overstated, as is Stevie's Gangster issue.

2. Stevie is staying at the hotel, has been there since mid March, but this is due to his well documented business deals with the owner. It certainly hasn't stopped him spending quality time with Alex as you would have seen if you live in the city. Honestly, it's like a parade everywhere he goes now.

3. There is no chance on Earth of him leaving Liverpool, especially seeing as the much needed investment is creeping towards the horizon.

Transfers? You got it.

Rafa leaving – still unlikely due to his contract, his pride and as mentioned, investment.

Serious bids being prepared for: Villa, Silva & Henry. That is all for the time being although a lot of other players are being watched. those 3 represent the peak of what Rafa wants to bring to the team, he is hopeful of landing one, maybe two, then buying a mid range defender & left winger, and couple of other to fill cover spots.

Expect the squad to be about 5 players smaller than this year – the clear out sales plus investment & the usual 20 – 30 mil will cover the 4–5 purchases Rafa will make, and ease the debt issue.

"Arsenal and Manchester United to fight it out for Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey for 15 million"

I don't think so, i think that Frey might work well for Man U, but i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get a new keeper at all. I can't really qualify this but by the sounds of it Chamakh is in for Arsenal, and Lloris is on the way.

Lloris has a better chance to be signed than Neuer or Frey, simply because he is French. Normally that wouldn't matter for most other managers, but we are talking about Wenger here.

Sol Campbell will probably be gone, and i would bet Wilshere goes on another loan spell. I doubt Wenger buys another defender (even though he should) but if he does i would bet Mexes to be the most likely option.

Oh, and Man U and Chelsea fans. neither of you will get Villa, Silva, Pato, or especially Dzeko. Dzeko is not going anywhere, read the BBC article.

––– Tommy {editor's note – isn't Frey French as well? I always thought he was.}

Sorry yeah, i don't know why i thought he was German! However, I stand by what I said that Frey is unlikely to be signed, as he is equally expensive and a considerable amount older than Lloris. My mistake.

I seriously doubt any of you work for Arsenal or for any other club for that matter, im sure Kroenke would love you coming on here and creating rumors.

From what I have read from here and elsewhere, it sounds like AW wants a keeper, central defender, outside mid, and an attacking presence.

Keeper: Lloris looks likely, but i'd take Neuer as well.
CB: No one will pay 20 mil for Subotic so you can all stop that right now. Mexes is a possibility, but i wouldn't be surprised if wenger kept it in the club here.
OM: all im hearing is Hazard, but he sounds like a pretty good option.
FW: Forget Villa, one of the most overrated and overpriced players in the world, Wenger is a smart frugal manager, not Jose Mourinho. Higuain would be fine with me.. haha but Chamakh is nothing to shake a stick at either.

My apologies for the nationality mistake

Avfc news

This comes right from the horses mouth. MON will not be going anywhere. He will access Aston Villa at the end of the season and will bring in more players to strenghten the squad.

Also, I've been told James Milner is going nowhere. That's what I've been told. Same with anyother villa player. MON wants to build the squad up, so that's what he intends to do.

On behalf of MON

With Lyon's apparent interest in Eduardo, don't be surprised to see Wenger use Eduardo as leverage in a possible player + cash swoop for Lyon keeper Lloris.

Also if Arshavin moves on it is believed that Wenger will look for a replacement in Valencia's David Silva.

A new centre back will only be bought in if Gallas goes as Arsenal have Djourou back for next season.

And it is widely believed that an agreement is already in place for Chamakh to strenghten the front line.

Wengers need to buy future stars will be accomplished by the capture of highly rated Eden Hazard.
