M U news SAF made plans to retire this year if he wins the EPL one more time he did want to go out on a high by winning in europe as well but that had gone and winning league this year looks unlikely too. SAF knows winning next year is doubtfull given that he will have no transfer funds even from sales and squad he has now will be decimated by sales the future looks bleak for united with no league or european cup and winnings
the company will be broke within a year if it continues the way it is operating its outlay far outweights the income due to loans

Its true about Billy Davies and Rangers. I posted this on this forum about 3 or 4 weeks ago. A good pal o mine is a placeman for Ellis, and he told me then that this matter is all square. He's saying the same thing as WTAP, When Saturday Comes.

Sorry to the desperate Bhoys, but ye gan need fae look elsewhere.

Some news about a take over at arsenal.
Lady Nina Bracewell–Smith has appointed lawyers to sell her 16% holding of shares in Arsenal Football Club.
The timing is set to coincide with the May 1st deadline, which will reduce the price of the Arsenal shares and save Kroenke £80m if he is forced to buy out the board, but will also net Lady Bracewell–Smith £80m from the sale.
The Lady has chosen this time to release the shares as she knows that Kroenke, or Silent Stan as he is known, is to decide on Monday whether to sell the St Louis Rams NFL team to Shajid Khan, which will give him £155m to invest in other ventures (i.e.Arsenal).
She has put the sale through the bankers Blackstone, as she has no wish to deal with Kroenke or other members of the board personally, since they unceremoniously dumped her last year.

Listen to all the man u scum supporters slabbering about gerrard's missus having a powder problem and about him living in a hotel the past 6 months (don't talk shte)my mate is his car valet 'no such problems at the gerrard household what so ever .plus all the rumours about this player going or this player coming all shte aswell rafa out mourinho in.he will decide who comes and who goes he will have meetings with carra here in liverpool when he takes over and then fly out to south africa to meet stevie' torres & pepe. nuff said.

No actually your the muppet even if you had a mate which i seriously doubt how can you claim to be in the Fucin know becoz of him.Yeah i know got problems that i pay gangsters and journalists thousands to keep quiet but im guna break down in front of the tool who i pay a fiver at me local to make me car shiny.
its people like you who make me sick of reading this site you come on here say something that sounds good in your underdeveloped probably unevolved brain and think just becoz your mate is Gerrards car cleaner youv got everyone believing you.
My sources i won't even dis respect them by calling them sources are fans who have lived in Liverpool all there life believe it or not Liverpool is quite a tight knit place and word spreads but you'd know that if you ever went there.I am not just saying this because i felt like making up some Bullsht to trump yours but becoz this has been the word for a while now and is actually pretty common knowledge down Liverpool.some of this story has been in the papers but not the whole.
Like also you would know that a certain CB in our team has not been injured most of the season but has been fighting his own battles with devils dandruff.
SO TO ROUND UP THIS RANT CAN YOU STOP RUBBISHING EVERYONE ELSES CLAIMS WHEN YOURS IS AS DODGY AS THAT 3 POUND COIN I PAID YOUR MUM TO GO DOWN ON EMILE HESKEY

To the mupet that wrote: 'Listen to all the man u scum supporters slabbering about gerrard's missus having a powder problem and about him living in a hotel the past 6 months (don't talk shte)my mate is his car valet 'no such problems at the gerrard household what so ever .plus all the rumours about this player going or this player coming all shte aswell rafa out mourinho in.he will decide who comes and who goes he will have meetings with carra here in liverpool when he takes over and then fly out to south africa to meet stevie' torres & pepe. nuff said.'

I'm a season ticket holder at Anfield and have no interest in slagging off our captain. His marriage rumours are old hat and of no surprise; don't know anything about a powder problem but can confirm that he has been staying at that hotel for some time now. Don't know anything about him leaving either; as I said in the original post. He is staying there, for whatever reaso, n it ain't because they are getting on!

12 Apr 2010 18:48:57
After arsenal missed out on chris smalling they set there sights on blackburn defender phil Jones he impressed in blackburn defence and wenger sees him one for future should get him for 3 million but

12 Apr 2010 18:49:02
Am a man utd fan, but i don't get other utd fans going on about buyings of villa, edin dzeko and some othert ones. the real rumours are SILVA, DEFOUR(SAF sent him a letter to get well remember?), DOUGLAS COSTA (mentioned again his dream is Untited) and a defender but don't know who. as for striker we have bought javier hernandez so don't excpect another striker unless berbatov is sold, and even if he is then young striker would be bought rather than a high profile. this is because everytime we have bought a high profile player they turn out to be flops(berbaflop).

also players goign out are:
Carrick
Berbatov
Fabio(loan) to benfica
Welbeck(loan) to preston
schools, Gary Neville, and giggs MIGHT retire

NOW talks of obertan, meckada, and most important one TOSIC are not leaving. they all are very good players, especially tosic he is playing excellent for koeln.

12 Apr 2010 18:52:46
Arsenal Squad 2010–11:

GK: Green / Mannone / Szczesny
RB: V. D.Wiel / Eboue
LB: Clichy / Gibbs
CB: Vermarlen / Cahill / Campbell / Bartley
RM: Walcott / Hazard
LM: Arsharvin / Emmanuel Thomas
CM/DM: Fabregas / Ramsey / Denilson / Song
AM: Nasri
FW: Van Persie / Chamakh / C. Cole / Bendtner

Hazard will provide cover for the left wing as well as the right, Plus an attacking midfield option with Nasri.

Hopefully Ramsey will be back mid season while Denilson will be first choice Defensive Midfielder.

Finally Szczesny , Bartley and Emmanuel Thomas will earn first team promotions.

12 Apr 2010 18:59:35
Higuain to Arsenal 30m.
Don't be surprised if Arshavin leaves.

12 Apr 2010 19:09:19
Gareth Bale, English football's ugliest player (or possibly the world's, what do I know) is being considered by Manchester United in place of the 'faltering' Luis Nani. Now, I was meant to post this a while back, before Nani actually recovered some form, so I don't know how relevant this is now; just remembered my duty to spread the good word.

12 Apr 2010 19:22:27
Lady Bracewells decision to sell shares in Arsenal will see Stanley Kronke make his move to buy the club.

This move likely by end of May with any full takeover completed by end of June. Expect to see Wenger then leave as doesn't want to work with Kronke Real madrid or France (dependent on World Cup showing) will be his next stop. The shock will be Jose will return to English Management but at The Emirates

12 Apr 2010 18:30:28

The person who wrote that billy davies is the new celtic manager is so wrong.. he will be named new rangers manager when ellis group takes control. with mcoist and co staying as his managment team walter will join the board and assist in any football maters that is needed.

the ellis group is waiting on confirmation on surrounding area next to ibrox(Hinshelwood)
to take on development and secure funds/future of rangers football club.

webster will return in summer but if reasonable offer is made then he will be going.
Bougherra will be sold in summer as release clause will be activated..newcastle scouts were at game against aberdeen to watch mcgregor and miller
with a poss transfer for both.
still no news on contracts as until takeover is complete nothing can happen .

12 Apr 2010 16:57:09
Can anyone tell me who is out of contract in the summer. Thanks.

12 Apr 2010 16:57:14
Andrew Ellis takeover bid for Rangers is complete, this should be announced on Sunday if Rangers manage to secure the title against Hearts at Ibrox.

Now some news.. In the summer Walter will step down along with Ally McCoist and Kenny Mcdowall. Ally is furious that he wasn't in Ellis plans next season to take over from Walter, and Walter isn't happy that Ellis didn't take his advice that McCoist was ready to take the reigns.

In contention for the managerial hot seat is Billy Davies but if he decides to stay down south with Nottingham Forest, then Derek McInnes will be offered the chance.

12 Apr 2010 16:58:45

LEAVING will be Cavalieri / Degen / Skrtel / Mikel / Aurelio / El Zhar / Plessis / Aquilani / Riera / Nemeth and N'gog.
Players RELEASED – Itandje / Threlfall / Flynn / Mavinga and Bouzanis.
This will be Rafs's LAST chance!

Ok. Cava is probably out the door due to various family problems including his wife's father dying. Itandje should have been sold last season after his disgusting behaviour at the Hillsborough Memorial Service. Mikel SAN JOSE (that is his last name, he's not the iffy DM at Chelsea) will probably be sold as he wants to go back home to Bilbao. Skrtel will not be leaving, he is meant to be our first choice CB next season. Aurelio will not get a new contract unfortunately, far too many injuries. El Zhar and Plessis are probably out, and possibly Jay Spearing as well. Riera has already gone for all intents and purposes. N'Gog is definitely not leaving and Nemeth ios almost certainly staying at AEK Athens on loan for another year. THERE IS NO POSSIBILITY ON THE PLANET THAT WE WILL BE SELLING AQUILANI. He is a very talented player and was almost certainly supposed to only have a small role this season. Threllfall and Flynn you have probably called right. Bouzanis will go out on loan most likely. And lastly, Christopher Mavinga has had an outstanding season in the reserves and will be moved up to be the 3rd choice LB behind whoever.

Gary madine is to be released from his contract at carlisle over his recent poor behaviour.

madine faces trial for assault and will probably have to quit league football as he is considered a liability.

meanwhile joey gudjonsson is to be kicked out of burnley after his feud with brian laws – although laws himself is set to be fired before long with steve coppell in line for the manager's job there.

phil brown is also being looked at for the burnley job along with jimmy calderwood.

12 Apr 2010 13:55:30
Jermaine Beckford, William Gallas, Phillipe Senderos, Fran Merida, Rafael Marquez, Goran Pandev, Kevin Kuranyi, Joe Cole, Michael Ballack, Francois Clerc, Kris Boyd – all available on FREE contracts this summer. So why do I keep reading crap like Beckford to Everton £3m? I'm sure Leeds would bite your hand off for it, but its not going to happen! It's up to the player where he wants to go, the club has NO influence! Likewise with rumours that Arsenal will sign Phillipe Mexes for £8m and Gallas. Gallas can go wherever he feels like going. Either he accepts a 12 month rolling contract with AFC, or he will be allowed to take his pick of an abundance of teams. Arsenal will have no influence over any move. If Mexes did sign it would be for a cash deal only.

12 Apr 2010 14:23:45
Not actually a rumour but this fact may trigger a few. Gerrard has been living at The Vincent hotel in Southport for quite some time now. Marriage all but over; he'll want to stay at LFC for numerous reasons; one being close to his children etc; but will all of this personal turmoil provoke a decision to leave if new investment doesn't completely transform the Anfield landscape?? His wife cna't seem to stay away from all the 'gangster' types she grew up with and rumours of infidelity have followed her for years"

I was told by a friend of mine to put some money on Gerrard moving to Madrid at the end of this season. He knows someone who is friends with Stevie and with the marriage trouble he wants a fresh start. Apparently a deal is done with Madrid but is being kept hush hush. In addition to this Rafa had been quoted in the papers saying he might have to sell Gerrard or Torres to build the squd for next season. All seems a bit of a coincidence.Might be worth a punt

I have heard from a few of the locals down the Twelfth man a pub just outside Anfield that a certain Mrs Gerrard can't stop a little habit that she has had for quite a number of years now lets just say she always has the sniffles from the Colombian flu and Stevie is tired of having to pay off her debts and certain local journalists who have known for quite a while that she has been hanging round the wrong people.
This has caused quite a few incidents most notably that gangster who wasnt chasing gerrard round Melwood and Liverpool for his autograph but because he was owed a debt and seen an oppurtunity to blag money from him to keep this quiet.
All this ended with a very public hiring of another underworld enforcer to give him his money and tell him to him to shut his noise and stay away from Mrs Gerrard if he knew what was good for him.
All this has put a strain on an otherwise pretty shallow marriage and Stevie wants out but he won't be leaving Liverpool.

Just before I start, any rumour linking Thierry Henry to be player coach of ANY club is an utter fabrication. Henry doesn't want to stay in football when he retires, hes more likely to go to America over the next fews years and get into acting!! And that is speculation indeed!!

NUFC ins: supposedley 60million "investment" (google if you don't believe!) If this is true expect:

Alan Hutton – Harry Redknapp almost accused us of tapping him up in the interview!! Maybe 5million, prob more.

Jamie O'Hara – Possibly as he is under used at Spurs – probably costing around the same as Hutton.

Seb Larsson – Could be enticed by the big club that we are lol, and the Wigan–like inconsistancies that are plaguing Birmingham.
8 million.

Expect us to be used as make–weights in a Rodwell deal to Man U, as we were in the Rooney deal before he signed for them. Alan Smith and Butt came to use very close after that so expect a misfiring Man U player to come to us. Maybe a loan, maybe a signing. More to follow!!

Arsenal to spend (kinda) big, and ditch the dead wood.
out: Fabianski 3
eduardo 8
vela 6
silvestre free
senderos free
traore p/e
merida free
in: chamakh free
Neuer 12
Boateng 11
Sakho 8+Traore(Sakho to stay on loan at PSG for 1 season
Senna 4
Hazard 12
Juste Abou 0.8m
Matthews 4(to stay on loan at Cardiff for one season).

the reasoning needs to be explained here:
GK: with fabianski being sold, almunia will be retained as no2 for one season, with one of szczesny or mannone being no3. the other will go out on loan, with neuer running the GK show.
Defence: wenger will resist the urge to buy another RB, so it will stay Sagna and Eboue. With silvestre and senderos moving on and campbell joining the coaching staff, Boateng will be brought in. Gallas will become back up along with Djourou, and Nordtveit will be promoted. Sakho will remain at PSG for a season, allowing Gallas to play one more season at arsenal before Sakho replaces him permanently. Pedro Botelho will return from loan to replace Traore as no.3 LB behind Clichy and Gibbs.
DCM: Senna to come in as back up for Song, on a 1 yr deal. eastmond may be sent on loan.
AM: no real changes here apart from merida leaving. lansbury will be promoted, and JET may also get the nod. wilshere will spend a full season out on loan, probably with bolton again, and ramsey will rejoin the squad before the new year from injury. youngster Samuel Galindo will be granted a work permit in the summer. Wellington Silva will turn 18 before January 2011 and will join up with his teammates thereafter.
WM: no change on the right, but rosicky will move to cover fabregas in midfield, leaving hazard to come in on the left to provide Arshavin with competition, eventually becoming his permanent replacement.
CF: Eduardo will never reach previous heights again, and Vela has arguably got worse since the carling cup run against sheffield utd and wigan, so both will be cashed in on. Chamakh in, and maybe J Simpson will also get promoted.
so the squad:
GK: Neuer, Almunia, Szczesny
RB: Sagna, Eboue
LB: Clichy, Gibbs, Botelho
CB: Boateng, Vermaelen, Djourou, Gallas, Nordtveit
DCM: Song, Senna
ACM: Fabregas, Diaby, Rosicky, Denilson, Galindo, Ramsey, Lansbury, Wellington Silva(Jan)
RW: Nasri, Walcott
LW: Arshavin, Hazard
CF: RVP, Bendtner, CHamakh, Simpson.
Loan: Mannone, Hoyte, Bartley, Wilshere, Eastmond, Sakho, Matthews, Frimpong, Coquelin.

as a result of this shopping spree, expect very little movement at the end of next season, with Almunia, Gallas and some other less noteable players leaving. Mannone will replace Almunia, Sakho will come in for Gallas and some of the fringe younger players will be sold off. the possibility of Eboue leaving is gathering strength, and Micah Richards has been touted as a replacement.

Very weird I saw this on here after what I heard at the weekend

"Not actually a rumour but this fact may trigger a few.

In addition to this Rafa had been quoted in the papers saying he might have to sell Gerrard or Torres to build the squd for next season..All seems a bit of a coincidence.Might be worth a punt

Big Arsenal Rumours"

You sir, are a complete tool. Neuer will cost easily more than 10m, wenger will never pay 15m for a soon to be 29yr old defender, he won't bring in vdWiel AND Boateng, Hazard will cost more than 10m for sure and he certainly won't pay 20m for one player Higuain. furthermore, Silvestre is out of contract and will leave for FREE, we paid 8m for Eduardo, and there is no chance we will make a profit in his sale and we'll be lucky to break even, rosicky's value has not doubled since we brought him for 5m and i don't expect him to leave anyway, and Denilson signed a new contract this season, he will not leave. you havent even said for whom Fabianski will supposedly be swapped.
in will be boateng 11m, neuer 10m+Fabianski, Senna 4m, Hazard 13m and Chamakh free.
out will be senderos merida silvestre gilbert all free, fabianski p/e, traore 4, simpson 3, eduardo 7, vela 6, campbell coaching staff.

To the guy that said :–

TO BE FAIR SPAIN'S TAX IS A WHOPPING 42% AS FROM APRIL LAST YEAR, PERSONALLY I CANNOT SEE WENGER PAYING 40M FOR A 28 YEAR OLD, HE HAS ALWAYS STRUCK ME AS A MAN WITH INTELLIGENCE? EVEN IF DAVID VILLA GOT A CONTRACT WITH REAL MADRID OR BARCELONA, HE WOULD STILL NEED TO GET 225K A WEEK JUST SO HE COULD GET HIS 125K AFTER TAX, THAT IS WHY HE DOES NOT MIND COMING TO ENGLAND NOW BECAUSE HE KNOWS REAL & BARCA WILL NOT PAY THAT FOR HIM! THE ONLY CLUB WHO ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO PAY RIDICULOUS WAGES LIKE THAT IS CITY! SO EXPECT HIM AT CITY THIS YEAR!

your pretty much right but the 42% tax only affects new contracts or contracts signed after a certain date (I can't remember the exact date) so you'd imagine that a move to city aside, he is taking home as much now as he would should he move to another top team

Strong, strong rumours from holland that wim jansen has been approached by celtic over the possibility of him taking a role alongside Lennon as the new management team.
Jansen was behind celtic team who stopped 10 in a row for rangers and also signed henrik larson.
He is said to be very interested in discussing it further.

Not really a rumour, but will Arsenal fans please drop the David Villa rumour!!
I know for a fact that Arsene agreed a price with Valencia for Villa , but the player wanted 125k a week after tax!!With the tax laws as they are in this country, Arsenal would have to pay him 250k for him to get his 125K.
there was no chance of Arsenal paying ANY player 12 million pounds a year!! So it fell through!

WEST HAM UNITED have joined the race to sign Jermain Beckford when he leaves Leeds on a free in the summer. This is a deal that the two David's will want as it involves very little money to be spent on the transfer. Also, if West Ham stay up for next season, Beckford may be enticed by the london club as he is more likely to get games under his belt.
Also, I am lead to believe that the two Davids (and the fans) are considering the possibility of signing Ilan at the end of the season due to the impact he has had on the team within the last few games with his goals against everton and sunderland.
Green looks less likely to leave Upton Park at the end of the season as it looks like Arsne has (oh so surprisingly) announced his interest in a French goalkeeper!

At one point, the Arsenal posts on here were few and far between – and more to the point, sensible! Now over the last few weeks i've seen some dodgy posts which almost rival the nonsensical crap issued daily by Man Utd and Liverpool fans.
There's a few majot facts to consider regarding any of these rumours:
Wenger has money to spend. Lots of it. Even more if he can actually pull off the title. He has openly stated that he WILL be strengthening the first team this summer. The fact that The Armouries complex (the conversion of Highbury into luxury apts) is now complete and selling well will mean the servicable debt for Ashburton Grove will be largely cleared within the next 2yrs. With the likely further investment from Stan Kroenke this summer, a takeover could be on the cards and this will give AFC some serious, serious cash to play with. However – Wenger has never been one for spending huge amounts and while this summer will see the biggest layout on players while he's been boss, he won't be blowing it on overpriced players like David Villa. Before AW signs a player, they are scouted continuosly for a long period of time. He will have had a budget in mind for the last siz months and will largely stick to it. Expect the likes of either Van Der Wiel, Sakho, Chiellini, Jerome Boateng, Gary Cahill, Steven Taylor, Brede Hangeland but not Subotic (overpriced) or Mexes (no longer interested). Clichy may be sold to Real Madrid if they are prepared to pay £18–20m. It's more likely though that they will opt for Ashley Cole. If Clichy does go, Kieran Gibbs will become first choice with an experienced head in as back up – although he is looking at Newcastle's Jose Enrique as a possibility. In central mid, Melo has been rumoured but unlikely. Wenger is more likely to go for a good solid player who will provide back up for Alex Song, who had been awesome this season. Axel Witsel of Standard Liege, Jeremy Toulalan and possibly Lorik Cana will be targets. One player who may break the mould is Marcos Senna. He is over 30, but has the experience to provide good cover for Song. He could be available on the cheap too given the problems at Villareal. I have seen a quoted figure for him of £5m on this site – he would be available for far less!
Eden Hazard is the player Wenger will really push for. There is no interest in Van Der Vaart as has been rumoured. Chamakh has signed a 4 yr deal which has been made public knowledge in a press statement. Why there are still rumours linking him to other clubs is a mystery! There will be one other forward coming in, but not Villa or Higuain. Edin Dzeko has been monitored but he will be expensive. Eduardo could be offered as a part–ex or loan deal should he come in though. Bendtner has largely proved himself this season. He still has much to work on, but a run of games has shown that the lad does have talent. He will remain an Arsenal player next season (no loan deal as has been posted on here!). Carlos Vela is likely to be farmed out however. Its more likely he'll be loaned to a La Liga side, but should a deal for Jose Enrique or Steven Taylor be agreed, then Vela could be sent to Newcastle on a 12 month loan with the option to buy.
Gallas and Campbell will both be retained for next season. Expect it to be a final fling for both players though, with Sol moving into coaching the younger players and Gallas allowed to leave on a free back to France next summer.
Keeper is the big one – Lloris, Neur, Frey, Green all in contention. Akinfeev unlikely given that he has 6 months left of his contract to run at CSKA. Can see him heading to Utd rather than Arsenal. No
done deals on any of these, could be any one of four. AW plays his cards close to his chest so to suggest anyone has a certainty is just pure rubbish! We'll find out over the next few months, it's going to be an exciting time for Arsenal fans!

12 Apr 2010 10:45:26
Arsene Wenger has already said he will be busy this summer and here is some CB targets where he will stregthen the most.
Hangeland is favourite. He is 29 in the summer and he will get a 4 year contract with Arsenal as it will be his final big pay day and his last chance to play at Europes highest level and fulham won't stand in his way. The fee will be under 15 million as iv already said he is 29 in June and even though he has proved himself in europe his price will not be higher to what it was being quoted last summer cause he is a year older.
Philippe Mexes. He has falling out with his manager and his contract runs out next summer and roma are willing to cash in on him. He has been a great defender for years and is good in the air in both penalty areas. His price would be around 8 million as he is 28 and his contract does run out so Roma won't have the price to high as clubs would be happy to wait to get him on the free rather than pay over the odds.
Jerome Boateng. He is a young defender proving himselg in Germany and Arsenal scouts have been watching him. He can play anywhere across the back four which is always an advantage and is 6 foot 3.He is a strong defender but Arsenal could be priced out as both Manchester clubs have been linked with him.He would cost around 11 million but other times could make it a huge bidding war which history tells you Arsenal will lose out in.
Neven Subotic. He is probably the most far fetched when it comes to signing for Arsenal. He has been turning heads since his debut with Borussia Dortmund in a 2–1 super cup win over Bayern Munich. He is only 21 and already looking like a complete defender. Excellent in the air scores a few goals a good with the ball at his feet. Because he is so young he would be an ideal Wenger signing but he just signed a new contract to 2014 so he won't be cheap. Plus Man Utd Chelsea and Real Madrid are being linked with him so his price tag could well be more than 20 million.

I come on here for a good laugh each day. Some of the rumours are hilarious. Yesterday, Graham Dorrans was reportedly going to Sunderland for 2.5 million.. today its 3.5 million by the same poster and someone else suggested he was going to Everton for a very precise 6.25 million. Graham Dorrans has only recently signed a four year contract at WBA. He's going absolutely nowhere unless he requests a move which I think is highly unlikely. Even if he did, he would not go for less than 10 million. He's one of the very brightest talents i've seen at the Hawthorns in many years. Then there's the James Morrison to Celtic for a million. Still chuckling about that one.. then there was Marc Antoine Fortune to Albion for 3 million. Maybe last summer but not this one! Oh, I almost forgot Koumas coming to WBA for 600k yesterday. We did try to sign him on loan in January, but he won't be what we need in the Prem next season, so I doubt we would be interested now. Isn't he out of contract at the end of the season anyway?

RAFA will be told he is in the last chance saloon this summer, with this in mind Rafa will not gamble on younge or maybe players! He will push for funds upto £60M BUT WILL HAVE TO BE HAPPY WITH £30M PLUS SALES.

LFC to keep faith with Rafa whoever owns the club next season!
The club will bring in Dida, Guti and Jovanovic on free deals (they are also talking to Pederson of Blackburn as another possible free).
Babel was given to the end of the season to prove himself which looks highly unlikely so expect a swap deal with Galatasary for Turan (LFC will also have to put some money in this deal to make it happen).
The ACTUAL targets (after the freebies)are Kjaer / Kolarov / Lee (Bolton) and Olic of Bayern (Rafa tried to sign im before he joined Bayern but will not finally get his man after the player has fallen out with his manager).

Hangeland–Fullham

12 Apr 2010 09:24:21
The move to bring in Barclays Capital to source investment in to LFC is an indication that the owners now want an outright sale. They value the club at £600m but may be forced to accept closer to £400m if RBS and Wichovnia do not extend their deadlines. An outright sale will mean that the Europa League is Rafa's swansong as he will accept another offer in the summer (his agents are in discussion with Juve and are open to talks with Real Madrid and AC Milan) leaving the new owners to appoint their own man.

12 Apr 2010 09:52:14
With their La Liga place slipping away, CD Tenerife are making ambitious plans to bounce straight back. Thierry Henry is the top target as player coach for next season. Rafa Benitez began his managerial career by getting Tenerife into La Liga 10 years ago.

12 Apr 2010 02:30:24
Paris Cowan–Hall and Spencer Weir–Daley will join Notts. County in the summer.

Meanwhile, Dundee United's goal–machine David Goodwillie is being monitored by Stoke, Fulham, Newcastle, Wigan and Cardiff City.

12 Apr 2010 02:38:34
Arsenal held a big metting today an I
just heard a bit from within the club that they are looking to renew the interest they had last year in Brede Hangeland and Felipe Melo.

Melo would come to Arsenal and in exchange Eboue would be sold to Fiorentina.

Chamakah to the Emirates is getting closer to a "done deal"

"Arsenal and Manchester United to fight it out for Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey for 15 million"

I don't think so, i think that Frey might work well for Man U, but i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't get a new keeper at all. I can't really qualify this but by the sounds of it Chamakh is in for Arsenal, and Lloris is on the way.

Lloris has a better chance to be signed than Neuer or Frey, simply because he is French. Normally that wouldn't matter for most other managers, but we are talking about Wenger here.

Sol Campbell will probably be gone, and i would bet Wilshere goes on another loan spell. I doubt Wenger buys another defender (even though he should) but if he does i would bet Mexes to be the most likely option.

Oh, and Man U and Chelsea fans.. neither of you will get Villa, Silva, Pato, or especially Dzeko. Dzeko is not going anywhere, read the BBC article.

––– Tommy {editor's note – isn't Frey French as well? I always thought he was.}
