expect big argie connection at MUFC this year. riquelme, mascherano/cambiasso to strengthen midfield with maybe sneaky bid for tevez under chelski's noses. heinze to sing uniteds praises this summer and all to be impressed. other signings to be ribery with silvestre going other way(he's still highly rated in france) kerlon as expected and if its bad news at juve maybe buffon to replace ageing VDS team 06/07:GK-VDS/Buffon,Foster RB-Neville,Spector LB-Heinze,Evra CB-Rio,Vidic,O'shea,Brown WM-Ronaldo,Ribery,Richardson,Park CM-Scholes,Giggs,Riquelme,Mascherano,Cambiasso ST-Rooney,Saha,Smith,Solskjaer, and 1 of Tevez, torres,Defoe,Keane

Darkside Dave, you have a couple very good points. I hope the monitors of this site display this because I'd like to hear your opinion on what I'm about to write. --- Where I disagree with you on your post though is that, 1. now that Cisse is out that Garcia is more likely to be sold to bring in money. I believe that it is LESS likely to happen that Garcia will be sold for the simple fact that Garcia can cover so many positions. If the team has lost money to buy more players, then they will need players like Garcia who can sub into a lot of positions and, since he'll only be playing 20-30 minutes per game, can cover for 40+ games in those many different positions. I think it's much more likely that because Rafa is bringing in Aurelio on the LB and Gonzo on the LM that Riise may be on his way out, even though he just signed an extension. BUT alternatively they may just scrap the plans to bring in a #2 striker altogether. 2. Although the team is after Bent, Kuyt, and Bellamy, I don't see any of them coming in. I believe that any of those guys were to be considered #2 to whoever they were bringing in as the #1 striker. Although we've heard the names, here are the players that have REAL evidentiary support: Ronaldo, Ibrahimovich (sp?), Totti, Trezeguet, Torres. IF any of those players come in, then Rafa can play them off Crouch, Garcia, Kewell or (when they get him) Aimar, depending on the competition. By the way, I'm the person who wrote about the Aimar at 5.2 v 5.8m post yesterday, so you understand where I stand on this. As far as that transfer is concerned, it's a very strange situation with Aimar. He is worth quite a bit more than the bid price, but because of his prior relationship with Rafa it creates a very tenable situation with Valencia. 1. Valencia, since Rafa left, have been trying to find a new identity. This always happens with a new manager. He brings in the players that fit his system. At Valencia, although he is creative and talented, they plan on us

ing a big "ball-holding" OFM. Aimar is a little, speed and pass based "creating" AMF. 2. The Valencia move to a new formation makes Aimar surplus. Although Aimar is a very good player, his positional capabilty is very limited. He plays the offensive middle, and plays it well. This is evidenced in the disparity in price between the Alves price, who is an outside player with potential along the entire right side. In sum, I don't believe LFC is in a very bad position. Although we've lost as much as 8M in trade value with Cisse's injury, it may only effect the backup roles overall and not any large transfers. This will sound awful, but as a fan of LFC it might even be a happy (but horrible) accident that Cisse did get injured, because I believe Cisse CAN be the #1 Striker at LFC. If the player can stop being so selfish AND the management give him a real chance when he comes back, there might be a very profitable gain for the club. Remember, winning cures all ills.

To the fan who said Man united will offer 3 mill and Howard for Tim Cahill there is no chance this would tempt moyes as cahill is signed to June 2010, and also the keeper moyes will replace martyn will be rob green with moyes concluding the deal about january to test he fitnees and then leting norwich keep his for a season long loan and next season Howard will go back to United

To all Newcastle fans!!! malbranque is being lined up for around £4million as a replacement for Lee Bowyer who signed for West Ham. I agree with everton fans that you have had success in the past but you cant use that. You have to look to the future and not dwell on the past

Rafa Benitez will make a decision this week to persue the signings of either Jermain Defoe or Craig Bellamy. The latter is more likely as he is cheaper and if Benitez offers Sinama-Pongolle in part exchange or loan then Pablo Aimar will come in for £6 million as well although Pongolle could stay.

LIKELY STRIKERS: CROUCH, FOWLER, BELLAMY, AIMAR,

LUIS GARCIA

=v1=

The Charlton revolution is upping its speed! Having missed out on Bowyer, CAFC will sign Stevie Sidwell from Reading (£2m buy-out clause), and a trio from West Brom for £7m. Ellington, Greening and Gera. Dowie might also make a move for Robinson from West Brom.

Arca is another possibility, with a lot of talk of Routledge once again teaming up with Dowie.

To fund this 'spree' Charlton will sell Rommedahl (£2m(ish)) and Holland (£500k-Leeds - or part of a swap for Arca).

Maxi Lopez on loan from Barca is another option - but he is most likely to stay in Spain.

ManU will defeniately will have to make big signings this season. As Chelsea is getting stornger n stronger day by day if ManU also don't make big turn around this term then they look set for another trophy less season. Moreover ManU will loose the Impression on the world players which have attracted them to Join ManU for last 2 Decades. The current examples are Ballack & Berbetov. This are the early signs that ManU are losing there charm against Chelsea as players prefer to move to Chelsea rather than ManU.If this happens for one or two season than ManU will find hard to keep there current big Names. The best ManU can do this term is (1)Gattuso in swap of RVN. (This will solid there Midfield) (2) Riquelme for around €12M (To get the creativity in the midfield & getting a world class free kick taker) (3) Torres €20M.(to try to fill the Hole of RVN

Marseille president Pape Diouf met with LFC officials On Wednesday to try and seal a deal for Cisse. A price was agreed which involved Franck Ribery and Cisse was expected to discuss personal terms on Thursday. Now due to the Cisse injury the Cisse / Ribery deal has been put on hold. Shame for everyone involved. Marseille still want Cisse any will try and get him in January and could save 2m on the price so Marseille are not too upset as if Cisse will move in January it will likely to be a straight cash offer of around 5.5m to 6m. Liverpools other right wing options include Pennant which is well documneted.

SPERZ

Michael Carrick is wanted by Sir Alex Furguson. This is a known fact around the top footballing circles. A double bid for him and Robbie Keane could be on the cards, with RVN going the other way, plus 7mil - which will be used by sperz to lure in Owen Hargreaves, who is much better than the press are currently giving him credit for.

Big Jol's team next season:

Robinson

Trabelsi Dawson King Bridge

Lennon Hargreaves Jenas Downing

Berbatov RVN

Teddy Sheringham to Hull City.

Everton fans "calm down " those of us old enough do remember Everton being a succesful club and agree we (NUFC) have won nowt. However lets face it neither club could be classed as big in their recent successes!

To the Toon - Huntelaar , Sol Campbell and a young Mexican striker from Guadalehara(?)

Oot of Toon - Emre, Boumsong ,Chopra and if we are lucky Ameobi.

Arsenal's Veteren Centre Back Pascal Cygan has being link with a group of French Clubs. A keen admirer of the former Lille player are believed to be St Ettiene who have jus won promotion to the French National League

i said a bout a week ago that le tallec told us in a french newspaper that liverpool will be signing two quality strikers. that wont happen now because of cisses broken leg. i think rafa wanted to bring in the 3 done deals we all no plus a right mid and two strikers and, by the way everyones talking, aimar aswell. i think the cisse injury cuts us down to one striker, but i think instead of pongolle coming back rafa may just push garcia further up the field for the first half of the season, until we sell cisse and buy in january hopefully, and use pongolle to buy bellamy. thank you to the newcastle fan who confirmed my theory from 3 days ago, which was that if liverpool are linked with a player then newcastle think they are also automatically linked with him, by saying that they might buy aimar. the only reason hes might leave is to play under rafa, and why would he leave a side in the champions league to play for newcastle. why newcastle keep tryin to put themselves in the same class as the big clubs in the league like liverpool, arsenal and chelsea i dont know, just because there chairman spends loads of money and still cant get them to higher than 7th in the prem. Portsmouth may win the race to sign highly rated 21 year old defender Curtis Davies from West Brom previously at Luton Town. He will sell for around £7 million and Portsmouth and Tottenham are also interested. Pompey will also sign Luton Town's Kevin Foley and Davies may be tempted to reunited with his defensive team mate in a promising team which also includes ex-Luton defender Matthew Taylor.

west ham will follow up the lee bowyer signing by getting luke young and also expect 1 defender 1 central mid paler and 1 striker (plz not heskey)

i'm a newcastle fan and would like to talk about the newcastle v everton debate. Although it is true that everton have won something in the last 50 years, which newcastle haven't... over the last 11 years newcastle have been the more sucessful club, this is undeniable. At this moment in time newcastle ARE the bigger club, just ask scott parker who turned down everton for newcastle. To person who said everton have won more FA cups, you are wrong Everton 5 Newcastle 6

I sat the football agents exam in March and got talking with a couple of already licensed agents. I won't name names but I had a conversation with one about who he represents and what deals, if any, where in place or likely to happen. He told me that a fellow agent was involved in a deal to take out of favour Real Madrid forward Raul to Newcastle United. According to his source, the Toon Army are ready to offer Real £3m plus misfit Albert Luque in exchange for the hugely experienced Spaniard. Watch this space.

efc news!

everton will look to offload the excess baggage at the club with the sales of naysmith (celtic) davies (fullham), weir (wba) and possibly Mcfadden (rangers). Mcfadden will only be sold if he turns down his latest contract offer, everton have put him in a take it or leave it situation. If these transfers do go through, expect everton to push for malbranque, take jeffers back on a pay as you play and maybe get another defender aswell as lescott (cover is thin if wier moves on) All these nolan rumours are rubbish, although barton is another matter.

Been in Germany for three weeks and among the media and some scouts - mainly from Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Stockholm and Barcelona. Word is that Fernando Torres will join after the WC to play alongside Dirk Kuyt. Hamman will do another year and they are also looking at Joey Barton to fill his place (albeit in a slightly different way).

I overheard a conversation among the media from Germany that Kewell is on his way to Spain and that LFC have asked about Johnny Heitinga. Most interesting was the suggestion that Hasselbank might be tempted instead of Bellamy and that Zlatan Ibrahimovich is not looking forward to relegation in Italy and would be keen on the Reds.

Athletico Madrid will never deal with Arsenal, let alone sell there best player to them. The Rosicky transfer ended any realistic chance of Torres moving to Ashburton Grove. The players most likely destination was Liverpool, but the horrific broken leg which Cisse picked up may end any interest (by the way, this broken leg was much worse than his first). However, this injury will mean that one striker will still come in so the Spaniard isn't out of the picture yet. It depends on just how much Cisse was likely to be sold for, which i would imagine was going to be used for the second striker. This means Defoe, Bent and Bellamy will not join and Kuyt and Torres may, but it could be the other way round. The right wing targets haven't changed and Aimar will still join.

Get well soon Djib, how you can break 4 bones in 20 months i do not know. Here's hoping for a speedy recorvery.

celtic team for next season - boruc/ wilson/ balde/ mccmanus/ arca/ maloney/ jarosik/ keane/ nakamura/ zurawski/ cole subs - mcgovern/ caldwell/ mcgeady/ pearson/ fortune/ miller/ riordan. petrov will go to man united/bayern munich. lennon to go to portsmouth with poss. hartson( likely to see out contract though)

Notts Forest winger Kris Commonns was spotted by a friend of mine outside Villa Park a few days ago.

Expect Viera to complete his move to Old Trafford immediatly after the world cup.

Sheffield united to be doing a lot of swap deals as warnock wants 2 get rid of all part time players. Claude davis £2m plus kozluk. Matt killgannon £1m plus montgomery. Mikeal forsell £3m plus morgan. jagielka not going back to centre defence because we get davis, kilgannon, lucketti and sommeil can play there but will be used as a right back. hendrie £500,000 paul gerrard and li tie (both free) will also sign for the blades.

Kenny

Sommeil -- kilgannon -- davis -- armstrong

Webber -- jagielka -- tonge -- hendrie

Forsell -- horsefield

subs from: gerrard, bromby, geary, unsworth, lucketti, ifill, gillespie, quinn, li tie, kabba, akinbiyi

OUTS: kozluk, montgomery, morgan, shipperly (barnsley)

United will keep hold of RVN - he is a king amongst the united faithful and he will patch things up with SAF. No worries.

Carrick to United from Spurs in a 10m deal (or player + cash deal with perhaps o'shea going the other way)

Diarra is way over priced and the united contingent would prefer an english midfield maestro rather than someone who is well known for his strops.

Gudjohnson would be a good addition but the lads feel there would be no room for a chelsea 'flop' at Old Trafford.

Riquelme will be on the move this summer from Villarreal, however the most likely move seems to be Real Madrid. SAF is an admirer but the english game may not suit the very patriotic argentinian.

I was playing Golf this morning at Beverley and i noticed Hull City Chairman Adam Pearson with Bradford City's Dean Windass i shouted to Windass are you coming back to City and he replied i am signing on Friday

Man city will sign Sidney Govou for a fee to be around the £3m

Rafa is lining up a couple of shock transfers this summer. Alves/Kuyt WILL NOT materialise, instead rafa has opted to bring in Jimmy Floyd H to add even more experience!!!. this is classic benitez at work. also, kuyt is apparently in talks with...Barca. in addition to Jimmy Floyd, benitez is reportedly about to confirm 5 other signings after the world cup, two being young talent!!!

sorry man city losing out on fortune dabo and hatem trebilsi all freebies cant afford wages not got a pot to pee in with distin and barton on the way out paul dicov who only scored 7 last season i see man city as relegation fodder i hope im wrong any blues out there think any different? swp is not coming back i think sp as his work cut out if we start off on a bad run expect sp to be shown the door im sorry to be bleak but with muppets in charge of the club the only way is down.

WE NO THAT HERNANAN CRESPO IS GOING TO JOIN BAYERN MUNICH FOR AND UNDISCLOSED FEE

Expect these players to be pulling on a Coventry City shirt next season:

Stephen Bywater, Neil Alexander, David McNamee (already signed), Elliot Ward, Calum Davenport, Colin Cameron, Chris Brunt, Rohan Ricketts, David Thompson, Darren Huckerby, Wayne Andrews (already signed), Francis Jeffers and Izale McLeod.

Starting 11 next season-

(GK)Bywater/(RB)McNamee/(LB)Hall/(CB)Davenport/(CB)Ward/(RM)Thompson/(LM)Huckerby/(CM)Hughes/(CM)Doyle/(ST)Adebola/(ST)McSheffrey.

Subs-Alexander/Ince/Whing/Page/Heath/Giddings/Williams/Cameron/Brunt/Ricketts/Hutchison/Thornton/Jorgensen/Osbourne/Impey/Andrews/Jeffers/McLeod/Scowcroft/Morrell.

Micky Adams will also sell Clayton Ince, Ady Williams, Claus Jorgensen, Andy Impey and Andy Morrell.

CCFCSCOTTY

Yobo is moving to Emirates for 5.5 mill,

Danny Pugh was seen around the City Ground yesterday by a friend of mine who went to the club shop. Possiblity of becoming Calderwood's first signing.

Have a contact who works at Portsmouth (cannot say who but he's very much 'in the know') and Harry Redknapp is looking to sign some young stars this summer with Mandaric's small fortune to provide Pompey with a solid future. Targets include Colchester's Greg Halford, Crewe's Billy Jones and, after missing out on Shrewsbury's Joe Hart, Redknapp could move for Luton keeper Zach Barrett, who has impressed in several reserve team outings. Expect at least two to sign, Jones and Barrett the most likely arrivals.

Mixed news for Leeds fans. First the good news. Leeds will in the next two weeks sign Reid from Tottenham. Bad news is they will sell Kilgallen possibly to Sheff United, but more likely to Wigan. Remember where you read this first. The V man.

ARSENAL NEWS Arsene Wenger is on the verge of raiding France again for their top young talent. This time it is Jeremy Menez(sochaux)and Franck Ribery(marseille)?Ribery has delayed his decision on his future to let Arsenal table a bid.Adriano will not be signing for Arsenal as it now seems certain that Fernando Torres will sign after the world cup.Yaya Toure's name keeps being mentioned but this wont happen as AW has pinpointed either Fernando Gago(boca juniors)or Micah Richards(man city).Expect a centre half to be unveiled soon?It will be either Phillipe Mexes(as roma)or Curtis Davies(west brom).

Porthsmouth News: Andres d'Alessandro will not sign a permanent deal with the club as he is currently in Spain agreeing a deal with Real Zaragoza. The deal will be a a loan deal until january with an option to buy for 6 million euros. Also Villareal are close to securing a deal fo for Italian defender Marco Materazzi.

Ruud is leaving, we all know that!! The destination is probably Milan. Both Milan and United are stalling however. The reason United are stalling is because they KNOW he will have a good world cup and are thus looking to increase the price. Milan on the other hand are worried about the inquiry. But after that they will do business. I expect Milan to get off with nothing more than a hefty fine!

There is no way Milan will sell Kaka to United, he's their best player! Gatusso will probably be part of the deal. As for Ruud's replacement, well Huntelaar is the most likely. Torres will not be a United player next term. United need a goal scorer and Torres is hardly that!!!!

On the midfield side of things, United will make at most four signings. Gatusso is one of them. If Riquelme does impress fergie he will be the second. Michael Carrick is the third (we all know Fergie's love for English blood, and Carrick is rather cheap for the type of role he plays in a team). The last player will be ribberry, but that does however depends on one, Marseille's resolve to sell, two Lyon's bid, and three the influence Thierry Henry will have on the lad's decision. If all goes well, expect to see him at United. United have already placed a bid for him!

Diarra is out of the picture as he is rather expensive. If Fergie fails with either Carrick or Gattusso, expect to see Mascherano. However, fergie is rather skeptical of a double argentine move. Veron's failure does still haunt him.

no moves will be made defensely.

as for sales, well the right price will determine a lot but i do expect the sale of silvestre. part from that i know nothing more but i'll be sure to share when i do.

CELTIC TRANSFER NEWS !!!!!

Celtic will sign the following

Scott Brown - £1.5m + Varga/Wallace/Lawson(loan)

Jarosik - £1m

Kadlec - £1.5m

+ a Striker who is unknown at the moment...

Sold will be

Hartson - £500k

Petrov - £5m

Lennon - Released

Dublin - Released

Wallace/Varga - Part of Brown deal

Heard that Arsenal are in the running for Roberto carlos with ashley cole moving the other way.

Damien duff is set to leave chelsea with Newcastle, Bkackburn and Liverpool possible suitors but they will have to pay up to 8 million for him.

Kuyt looks set to join Barcelona if he has a good world cup.

Cisse will join Marseille in january.

The Petrov for Fletcher plus money swap has some truth in it. I hear that Celtic are interested in cash first and will limit their interest in Fletch to a years loan with an option ,thus increasing the fee toward £4 mill ; which is the max Man u will pay in readies for an SPL player. Expect the deal soon as SAF upset at recent negative publicity following Rooney / Heinze situation.

PS Carrick a smokescreen - they know loadsamoney Spurs will not sell for a price affordable in the Glazer regime but it helps to beat Celtic down further still.

With Tony Pulis now given permission to speak to Stoke,Argyle are expected to get 250k in compensation,Pulis is expecting to make Pompey flop Vincent Pericard one of his first signings,Argyle will now appoint Ian Holloway as Argyle Manager by next Friday,Junior Agogo is high on Ollie's list of signings at Home Park.
