Barry is a cleverer player than he gets credit for and would have given the team great balance. A midfield of Barry, Masch, Alonso and Gerrard would be an enviable one and would give us a fantastic chance of winning the big head to head games we have faltered in. O.K Thanks to parry publically stating liverpool are not prepared to pay for barry the aim is now to get both david silva and micheal johnson before the start of the season and allow alonso, voronin and pennant to leave. First with 18mil from barry available benitez will use 10mil to buy johnson thenn allow alonso to go to athletico(hence him saying he could still leave( for around 15mil possibly including a first option on aguero. this will then leave 23 mil available which will then be used on sliva , also leaving some money left. If voronin and pennant also leave he will use the money for milner for cover on the wings. Barry is not a target at the moment any more.
