Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has commited his long term future to the club by signing a new 5 year contract

Great news, great player and destined
to become one of Saints all time legends.

12 Apr 2013 20:19:17
Why the hell are people disagreeing to this post?I've watched an interview with him talking about his new 5 yr contract on the Saints player. What is there that isn't truth about this? It isn't April's fools. we had that earlier this month, and Ricky Lambert was going to play for New Zeeland. {Ed034's Note - maybe they disagree with him signing?

Swindon will appoint a new manager when the season is over as KM is only caretaker and will be taking over the role of youth team manager as Bodin is on his way out.

12 Apr 2013 07:37:02
I wish KM was going the guy is useless and destroyed our season but how can he be temporary he has signed a two and a half year contract.

Hope so another useless guy in bodin who was wanting to sue the club, that's about macdonalds level also, can't see it though.

Yes I hope so that would be the best role for him he is not a manager full.
if they don, t win tomorow he has to go, anythning but a place in the playoffs will be a failer who ever took over at least swindon should get a playoff spot. if swindon don, t go up now next season under MAC will be relgation form not good enough for this club.

{Ed 003's Note - We have some lively debates going on at the moment but for the life of me I can't understand why posters are not making use of the registering facility and leaving a name so folk know who they are talking too. }

Mostly I suspect so a long running feud doesn't occur with certain aggressive posters who hound those who do leave a name every time they post if they challenge a posting. {Ed003's Note - the thing is when you look at the indivdual club pages they mostly all leave a name even rival club posters do and they have built up good banter over time,It is more dificult on the main site as we are dealing with all clubs and there is always some smartarse off the cuff remark(which should and do get deleted) anyway it was just a thought to improve the banter Mr Noname.}

Young 16 year old Australian Joshua Macdonald has signed a 2 year contract commencing next season. He was formerly at Spurs where he was 1 of only 2 young players from around the world selected for a 3 scholarship but decided to leave to take up this offer. {Ed034's Note - with???

: Derby are targeting Jamie Mackie from QPR as their 20 goal a season striker in the summer.

Doubt he'd be 20 goal a season man but would be a v nice addition to play rm, imagine ward on the left and mackie on the right, 2 players that can really change the game

Decent shout, but not sure if he would come, esp with the QPR wages.

If QPR come down from the premier league they may have to sell due to their financial situation.

20 goals a season. ?! no chance!

Lukas jutkiewicz has been told by TM that he will be allowed to leave in the summer. Doncaster and huddersfield are thourght to be interested

Faris haroun is also considered to be disposable by middlesbrough and Ipswich and wolves are keen for his signature

No chance to Huddersfield, not like her at all.

Please someone buy haroun he is useless and as for juke if the goal was via the riverside scoreboard then he would be a great player

I doubt we will move for Haroun we we're interested when Boro signed him on a free but pulled out and he's done little since then.

Boro to sign burnley midfielder McCann at the end of the season

Joey Bartons career in France is set to be over after a controversial week for the 30 year old. A return to England is likely with Aston villa, stoke and Hull most likely. However there was talk of a surprise move to Liverpool the arch rivals of his boyhood club Everton.

11 Apr 2013 16:55:16
He will remain part of the financial car crash at Loftus Road

He better not even be considered by villa

I don't think he'd fit in in Hull.

Also, after our last jaunt in the Premiership we were left with a huge wage bill to trim and still have some players of silly deals. Barton would want mega bucks to come up here, money that the current administration would prefer to spread across the squad.

Any club that buys barton
must be mad
the bloke is trouble
wherever he goes

Hull won't sign any parasites after Bullard, Bruce and Allams much more astute then that

Clough said in DET today we're after experience this summer - including a CB, believed to be Alex Baptise.

Sam Rush (CEO) has confirmed the Rams are after a CB, LB, Wingers, CM and Striker, all proven at this level.

Agreed. But its not just at this level
the striker we are trying to get is Will grigg he is only exception because of the amount of games he has played for his age and that he's a full international

12 Apr 2013 13:20:52
and the rest. Derby need a goalie, two full backs, dominant centre backs, creative midfield player, midfield ball winner, two wingers who can beat a man and cross the ball, centre forward who can hold the ball up and a fox-in-the-box to nick them from the 6 yard box, oh and some super subs to change the game when we are 0-1 down with 10 min to play!

plus a physio, team coach and decent management pairing!

Sheffield United are looking at a number of possible replacements for Danny Wilson but Chris Morgan will be in charge until the right man is found.
It is thought United legend Neil Warnock may return for one last go in management but wages may be a problem as the former Notts County and Huddersfield man is keen on a retirement so persuasion may be needed.
If a deal with the 64 year old can't be agreed, caretaker boss Chris Morgan is thought to be keen on a long term contract. If the 35 year old impresses the players and the board when in the interim role, he will be second choice to Warnock no matter who else comes forward.
If Morgan doesn't impress and a contract with Warnock cannot be confirmed, the third choice is Burton Albion boss Gary Rowett. The young manager has impressed in his first managerial role and is thought to be high up on the shortlist.

You have to nick Macdonald from swindon, he is class and would do well at Utd.

Steve cottrill for me will take the blades back to the premiership {Ed034's Note - hahahaha

11 Apr 2013 15:33:49
Lies!
Warnock is done with management, he is likely to become Director of Football at Sheffield United not the Manager!

On a local Oxford forum, Chris Wilder, who has been linked previously to manage Sheffield Utd, has apparently put his house up for sale in Oxford. He apparently still owns a house in Sheffield? So maybe. taxi for Wilder!

Morgan will be given it until the end of the season, if they go up I can see them offering it to him permanently

Norwich are looking at Kyriakos Papadopoulos but might cost too much. Also Ioannis Fetfatzidis could be the attacking midfielder RVW mentioned Norwich interested in. Fetfetzidis would be relatively cheap due to financial issues in Greece and for Olympiacos in particular.

Papadopoulos has been linked with teams like Manchester United so doubt norwich could get him, plus shalke have more chance of European football and play in a just as good league.
Fetfatzidis rarely plays and I think you are basing this rumour down to him being good on fifa

Van wolfswinkle was linked to Manchester United last summer, and tottenham this january, but he has now signed for Norwich, so if papadopoulos has been linked to teams like Manchester United it means nothing because it is just a rumour.

11 Apr 2013 09:44:38
Nigel Clough has openly said he is looking for Championship experience for next season so his main wish list is the following.

Matt Kilgallon
Alex Baptiste
Stephen Crainey
Aidy White
Martyn Waghorn
Matty Fryatt
Chris Martin
Craig Forsyth
Guy Moussi
Richie Wellens

Clough knows he won't get all of them but he wants a few off that list to cover certain positions like CB, LB, CM and FWD. Clough is also looking at a few possible free's from Scotland or the lower leagues.

Chris Humphrey
Jonny Russell
Marlon Pack
Jacques Maghoma

A few players are set to leave in the summer as well - Bailey, Robinson, Tyson, Doyle, Legzdins/Fielding (more than likely Legzdins as Fielding is number 1), Roberts, O'Connor and Ben Davies.

If Will Hughes is to be sold it will be in view of him coming back on a season loan but there is also a high possibility of Brayford being sold as Freeman has impressed at RB whilst filling in and Brayford only has a year to run on his current contract.

11 Apr 2013 10:40:46
Clough is also interested in Greg Cunningham from Bristol City if they do go down which is looking likely.

Before anyone says Derby don't have the money to sign these players, only Cunningham, White and Moussi on the list would command a fee as the rest are all available on free's.

Sam Rush has said in his Q&A's that we will have abit more money to spend this summer as in past summers we have spent it on other things like a new screen, the acadamy etc but we don't need to spend anything like this summer resulting in more money towards players.

11 Apr 2013 17:25:45
You think Fryatt is available? On a free? Highly doubt it, he's been injured all season and has been Hull's top scorer the last 2 seasons. You don't have £2.5m to buy him!

Fryatt won't be available for free. Will Hughes would be a fair swap! ;)

11 Apr 2013 09:58:10
Notts county boss Chris Kiwomya is trying to sign the following players to build a competitive squad for next season:
Bradley Wright-Phillips
Matt Green
Steven Schumacher
Jimmy Ryan
Ben Davies
Billy Kee

No chance of getting any of those.

What you on about no chance davies and bwp have already said there interested

Apart from Ryan & Kee I've heard a lot of talk about the other 4 around the club

11 Apr 2013 07:32:58
aston villa all set to sign andrew surman from norwich for 2 mill

That can't be true, but I wish it is. He's useless. We paid £1M for him and he's done nothing. Please buy him!

We have albrighton, n'zogbia, gabby, holman etc. why do we need another heap of rubbish like Stephen Ireland?

Lambert obviously signed surman at Norwich but surman never was really a good player so can't see PL wanting him.

Surman is class, really top player. He's actually got a brain, can pass. Pace isn't brilliant. The reason he's not been taken too by city fans is that he can't stay fit. Must be moved on, not because of ability but he's never available.
