Daily Record reports that Brighton & Hove Albion are poised to sign Dundee United youngster Ian Johnson. The Scotland under 18 year old defender had recently attracted interest from Reading and Bristol City.

Sources close to the club are telling me that three deals are close to completion and they will all move to the club in time for training next week. the names mentioned are Kalas and Loftus Cheek whilst the other name could not be mentioned as there os still competition. but the club claim that it is definitely not Stewart Downing.

The club will also try to sign at least one new striker before the York City friendly and are set to lodge a 1.5m + Fewster (on loan)to tempt Turkish striker Ciftci away from Dundee

a colleague of mine works in Norfolk and unfortunately for me he is a Norwich fan that I gave stick to last season after doing the double over them (that came back to bite me in the end), anyway he'd heard yesterday that we are preparing an offer for Cameron Jerome and that Norwich have said we can buy Hooper but not take him on loan till January which had been our initial enquiry.
A decision on Jerome depends on them landing two of their striking targets so we might have a lengthy wait for developments there.

Norwich City are interested in signing Dundee United midfielder, Stuart Armstrong and Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray this transfer window. There is also interest in Peterborough United defender Jack Baldwin.

Baldwin has been out for months and is not set to return to action before pre season. Good prospect but can't see Norwich stumping up cash for an injured player.

Millwall boss Ian Holloway will make an offer to Dundee United winger Gary Mackay-Steven whose contract is up in the summer. The Scottish international has stated previously that he would like to play in England but United are hopeful he will sign a new contract. Looks like wigan are in for Liam ridge well on a short term loan whilst waiting for the MLS season to start. Another player could be Danny graham on loan and apparently we are also looking at Gary mackail smith from Dundee. We had a 150k bid knocked back for him at the moment.

News coming from Blackburn Rovers;
Crewe and Blackburn have agreed a compensation fee of around 950k for attacker Max Clayton.
Blackburn have agreed a 1. 75 million pound fee with Dundee United for Gary Mackay-Steven. He expected to go for a medical on Wednesday.
They have also agreed loan deals for Manchester United duo Tom Lawrence and Michael Keane, who had a successful 6 months at Ewood Park

Gary Mackay Stevens is back on Huddersfield Towns radar as Dundee Utd are believed to be considering a bid of around 600k from Rotherham and this is likely to be very close to the fee they are looking for. Town had major interest at around the figure previously and are likely to jump in to the race if the offer or a little bit more is accepted for him. This would mean a swift exit would be welcomed for Sean Scannell - who is looking for a move back down south.

They turned down 750k from Barnsley and 900k from Watford so this definitely isn't true
