Sunderland are currently monitoring the situation between Bradford City and Swindon Town over Striker Eion Doyle, whos contract runs out in the summer.

Doyle still a Bradford player but on loan at Swindon has score 22 goals in 23 appearance in league 2, last season he scored 11 goals in league 1 for Bradford City.

Doyle was purchased by Bradford city as a replacement for Charlie Wyke but current and previous managers have struggled to get the best out of him.


Phil Parkinson tried to sign Eion Doyle while at Bradford city so knows much about him.


As Doyle has played for both Bradford and Swindon he is ineligible to play for Sunderland this season but could be part of a Phil Parkinsons plans for next season should Sunderland miss out on the play offs.


Sunderland are not likely to make an other but could be looking to take Doyle in the summer.
