tottenham are in for james
collins in jan

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Villa should tear their hands off to get anything for Collins. Despite the Chelsea win they are in for a relegation fight. We got 18/1 for them to go down at the start of the season, and it is still a goer.

Hearing Leeds looking at Marshall and Birchall, as reported on SSN, and also at Adam Barton and Ian Evatt from a different source. Have also been told the Smith rumour in the papers, as well as the Beckford, Delph, Sharp and Maynard chatter is all bogus. Of course it is. No-one even gets drawn in by it anymore.

Harry in the news talking about Ba and his contract again. Should shut his mouth and stop talking about other teams players in the press. Show some class and if asked about players that don't belong to Spurs.... decline to answer...fat chance however, sure he will continue to run his mouth. I am surprised that its expectable to speak out on a players contract when that player is employed by a rival team?

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Typical spuds move samba/ba didnt like it when chelsea were banging on about modric

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry is a cock started crying about modric but he is always tapping up players. probably after money from the agents tax free of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

Harry is trying to improve his squad. Keeping Modric and bringing in new players are improving an already brilliant team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rednappe is just a big mouth, ignore him, been a manager for about 50years and won 1 FA Cup, what a joker he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wonder how he will cope when he joins HMP and he has to run the team with what he has at his disposal, no back hander deals in there Harry boy.

I am an Ipswich town fan and find it unbelievable the amount of stupid comment saying another reserve this another reserve that at the moment we are fighting relegation nobody that starts is going to join us and also how many players do well when they join another club from being a reserve they show more passion and determination to make the 1st 11 than the likes of chopra Bullard and the others!

Bullard got contract toss it off now rang up said he had flu what a joker

I can't see Southampton signing more than one biggish name player in January. Lee looks likely, Adkins has hinted at a few more, possibly loans. The real signings will happen in the summer. If we don't go up, we''ll get a few good quality Championship players in, and have another crack at it. If we do go up, Cortese will allow some signings, most likely young Championship players e.g. Clyne, Sordell, Butterfield (Not real transfers, just my guess) and possibly SPL players. Hooper would be good, but we'd really have to break the bank for him.

I'm not a huddersfield fan myself but I am curious to see how much the huddersfield supporters reckon Rhodes is worth? I know theres no need to sell or that but I am curious. Try and be honest and not let your hearts rule your heads :)

Sk87

Believable1 Unbelievable0

To us he is priceless. Rhodes is the reason we are where we are. All the cash in the world in the bank won't win you games. The chairman could afford most players in the championship if he wanted, but why would they come to a league one side?
I know for a fact that if we don't go up then the chairman will happily let him further his career. £5 mill, £10 mill. It's what clubs are willing to pay. Personally, having seen him hit the target better than anyone I've seen, I think he'll thrive in the premier league.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's been said that clubs who are interested are ready to use £4-£5 million for Rhodes

Lambert

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Yes, no, no and no

Agree0 Disagree0

No, no, no and no. All of these managers have had success in their careers, why ruin it by going to a team who are full of big egos, a small fan base and who will be playing championship football next season. Adkins and Lambert will be in the Prem next season and Powell in the champ, Hughes is better off without a job than going there.

Norwich will complete the signing of Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez. Lambert was interested in him before the FA cup match between the two sides and Lambert will only have been impressed that he scored. Also the player in question was mightily impressed by Norwich's style of play and wants to be a part of it. The fee is in the region of £2M with add ons taking the total fee up to £3.5M WATCH THIS SPACE!

haha dont know why ur gettin so exicted about what would rangers or celtic being **** in the (sky sports) preimer league, i Am pretty sure if rangers can bring 100 thousand fans down to manchester, we would be up there with the best with the money that english prem clubs recieve from SP.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Celtic have 60k fans every home game, how many EPL teams outside the big 4 can rival that?

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic is the 2nd biggest capacity stadium in britain for football, behind only man u..... they would very quickly break into the so called top 4 in england, thats why they will never be allowed in!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why all this carp again IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN, you don't want your players to play in the olympics because it will put the SPL, SFA etc at risk so what would letting the OF play in England do, make your minds up. The clue is in the second statement EVERY HOME GAME away games 8k if your lucky

Agree0 Disagree0

And you don't have 60k every home game only when you play Rangers check out your attendances so far this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic are averaging 49k for home games so far this season and rangers 45k

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have higher than average attendance percentage than most EPL sides, so thats why the Overrated Premier league wont have us! {Ed003's Note - Or that you play for a completly different affiliation,this is nonsense banter imo, we may aswell speak about PSV or some team from lithuania(examples) joining the prem }

To those people going on about jordens Rhodes here are the facts
he won't be going anywhere this transfere window unless a ridiculas offer comes in 10m is what promotion is worth to us
players who've done well at league one have gone on to the prem chamberlain from southampton for 15m springs to mind
Celtic are a possibility the step up in class and fact he will play regular champions league football could swing it they deffo. have the money and i know from a reliable source that they are considering a bid
Rhodes cannot be compared to any other player at this level his scoring record is better than anything I've ever witnessed and as a life long huddersfied town supporter i know he's too good for us and is destined for the top!
I know ipswich will be kicking themselves we got the lad for 300 k lol cheers keanoyou certainly know your football

Anyone linking us (Ipswich) with strikers, especially strikers in the class of Billy Sharp, Jordan Rhodes etc are mad. We won't spend the £3m+ it would take to get either of those. We need a defence. The only decent defender we have is a left back. Ivar Ingimarrson has just been released with leaves us with 3 questionable centre backs and a right winger at right back.

We also need a central midfielder able to give Chopra the service he needs to score. Perhaps a winger or two as well. Basically we're awful and signing Sharp (not that he would come) would just be adding another decent striker that we can't provide service to!

Oh...we also need a keeper...

To my fellow Norwich fans, please stop embarrassing the club with nonsense. Holt will not be sold - he is our hero and for £400k he has made us £45M almost single handed.

Would love to sign Snodgrass and McGugan. Don't think we need a striker until the summer so Jordan Rhodes would be unnecessary in my opinion, despite his obvious talent.

I seriously think Liverpool need to buy outside of Uk. last season we bought players well above their value and haven't reaped the benefits. In my opinion raiding the bundesliga or south America would give us that push into CL. Players like Patricio rodriguez, Lucas moura, wolfswinkel, Gaston Ramirez. Seriously hope we don't buy any average players. If a new player can't be instrumental in us finishing in the top four we shouldn't be buying them. Anyone one agree?

He was bad all round today. Has been most of the season. Not fit to ref.

Agree0 Disagree0

It isn't just him, one of things i will take away from this season is just how poor (or rather inconsistent) the refs have been. I know it is a tough job but the mistakes seem to be coming thick and fast lately. The best refs are ones that go unnoticed, but i don't recall a game recently where thats been the case....;)

Albion boss Gus Poyet has warned Cardiff their interest in Craig Noone is "going nowhere".

The Argus revealed details earlier today of Cardiff's rejected £400,000 offer for the Seagulls' talented winger.

Poyet said: "People said to me in December are you expecting any offers for Nooney, for Dunky (Lewis Dunk)? I'm ready for anything because in football today you don't know.

"When you get an offer that means players are doing well but it's how you can control it, depending on the offer and the club wanting the player.

"The situation last January with Benno (Elliott Bennett and Norwich) was a nightmare for 20 days, unbearable. Let's see, maybe this one is easier.

"It's totally different. At the moment it's going nowhere. I don't know what is going to happen but what is true right now is they've got no chance.

"They would have to more than significantly up their offer."

jordan rhodes is an unproven player but has bags of potential, i must say i do feel sorryy for him though, he is doing a great job at the moment concentrating on his football rather than the hype surrounding him keeping a cool head when he has a complete tool for a manager stating "he will not be sold no matter what the price" if a lad wants to further his career and have a chance of becoming a great player you would think lee clark would not stand in his way......absolute plank

Believable3 Unbelievable1

The club's Chairman originally said it and they originally took a bit of a gamble buying him. Where were the 'big boys' then. Staying at Huddersfield for another 6 months won't do him any harm.

Agree0 Disagree0

A plank! What do you expect Clark to say? Town don't want to sell him, they dont need to sell him, they don't need the cash, so why put a price on him. He's playing the transfer bluff game, just you are too much of a plank to see that

Local Sussex paper the Argus reports that Brighton have rejected a bid of Four hundred thousand pounds for Craig Noone from Cardiff. The paper also reports that Brighton are monitoring Wolves striker Sam Vokes.
-------------------
Make it 1.5 million and Brighton might think about it. What a pathetic offer for one of brighton's best players. Why would he want to sign for a team we beat 3 - 1 away. Cardiff are joking if they think we would sell to them. Your board must be full of idiots if the think a player Brighton value at four times what the offered. If I was the Brighton owner I would have laughed and told Cardiff to pi** off. What a bunch of welsh wallies.
1.5 million?? you gotta be joking, he can't be as good as you say if he's playing for a mid table side. why would he want to cardiff?? because were 4th in the league and are going for automatic promotion. if i were him id snap cardiffs hand off. midtable or a promotion push?? i know what i would rather
Id rather be at brighton, cardiff belong in the league of wales with the likes of tns and llanelli
Craig noone is worth 1million and im a donny fan
Just because Brighton beat Cardiff 3-1 it doesn't mean there a much better team and a certain player wouldn't sign because of that 1 result. Brighton could only manage a draw against the mighty Wrexham, doesn't mean they are a better side than you. It was probably just an opening bid, you will just have to wait and see what happens. Cardiff have been up near the top of the division for the past few seasons, where as Brighton have just been promoted.
Why should Cardiff play in the league of Wales, they've played in the football league longer than Brighton.
And the piece on Brighton beating Cardiff 3-1. Cardiff beat Real Madrid many years ago so hopefully messi and kaka will join them on frees and spice up the championship.
I agree, Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham should NOT be playing in England, they should be playing in the Welsh league!
------------
Brighton have told Cardiff nooney is not for sale especially as he hates sheep and wants to play for a club that are on the up and have a chance of actually getting past the play offs!

having a bit of banter with a few scotts but on a serious note how many people seriously think the old firm would challenge in the prem? surely its an absurd thought to think theyd win the championship never mind the prem??

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I think that the old firm would not survive in the english prem due to the fact their current squads are not good enough. they wouldnt be able to get the £50+m needed to overhaul their squads. having said that norwich squad worth about £15-20m and look at them, although it helps to have one of the best young managers in britain. ok then so how do u think an epl team, ie swansea, wigan, stoke would do in the spl?? methinks any of them would comfortably win it.

Agree0 Disagree0

The standard in england is not as high as u think ,plenty of average players get mega hyped and move for large fees etc ,doesnt make them superstars. At least up in SPL we admit we r crap just now but the fanbase Rangers and Celtic have far exceeds most premiership and championship teams so withn a short time we would easily compete within the premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

You are asking two different questions. i agree with one and disagree with one???

Agree0 Disagree0

With the teams they have now they would be championship standard, but with the gates they get that would put them prem mid table. I don?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t think they could attract the players to push for the league as they would have to live in Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's wrong with living in scotland? At least we dont have riots

Agree0 Disagree0

I just think it's too bloody cold but where's Maximus?

Agree0 Disagree0

They would love to stay in Scotland.Glasgow is a beutiful City and so is Edinburgh. And could compete with anywhere in the north of England and the midlands. Its players that would normally move there, that A.F could steal. And that is a lot off players.Swansea have hardly spent anything to,and are doing well in the EPL.What makes you think that the A.F could not?The best Scots players, would stay here to.GORDON,HUTTON,BARDSLEY,BERRA,CALDWELL,ADAM,MORRISON,BANNEN,S FLETCHER,GOODWILLIE,McFADDEN.It would just take consolidating the first couple of seasons. And then the money would be there. Its not going to happen any how,the English chairmen dont want us or the challenge.Even though Rangers used to play in the English FA cup.And England has Welsh teams in there league. And we have a English team in ours Berwick Rangers.A.M

Agree0 Disagree0

If thats the best list of player you can come up with, my sympathies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive been to glasgow and edinburgh, two rough places you would let your dog live there! i reall think celtic and rangers should go into are fa cup, then lets see how good they are!!!!!!out third round to crawley!

maximus

Agree0 Disagree0

Take a look at Steven Fletcher,s goal scoring record this year. And Gordon is still the most expensive keeper from the UK.Hutton we brought through, just like Adam.Who is the best passer of a ball, out of any of the British players. And has the stats to prove it.Bannon got compared to Xavi, bye Houllier as a player. And is only a young guy,who is bound to improve.Caldwell has marked some top players out games in Europe, and for Scotland.Even if he is a bit slow.So no I dont want your pity.I could hav added the best holding midfielder from the British isles in Darren Fletcher to the list.If I thought that he would come.A,F would not just be signing Scots though.Plenty of English players would come up.They always have done, even when the English teams got let back into Europe. So that would not change. And we could bring in better quality players from Europe, like what we used to attract.Ally

Agree0 Disagree0

And I have been to Blackpool, got my new trainers covered in donkey crap.At least I think it was donkey muck.It was probably Maximus, after his last pub crawl. So you think that the players, will live in rough parts of the City? Some dont even live in the City, some live in Renfrewshire in like Killmacomb, were Gazza stayed.Ally

Agree0 Disagree0

Pro Zone last season had Charlie Adam,as the best passer of a football in the UK.The sight that EPL managers use.I suggest that you look it up.BVefore giving it the big yin, about your players.Or maybe watch the next Chelsea Liverpool game.If you want to see old Lampard,be taken to the cleaners again.Adam could get in your England team,if he was not Scottish. One off a few players, that could do.Like it or not English, your teams not very good.I am not saying Scotland are just now.At least we are improving. And we dont shout about winning friendlie games against a under stregth Spain.Regardless that they are the world champs.Cyprus have even beaten them,so have N Ireland. Its funny now that loads off you, think you have a chance in the Euroes. It just makes it all the sweater when you screw it up.Remember the saying ENGLAND EXPECTS.So does Scotland we expect you to lose.A.M

Agree0 Disagree0

The likes of Aston Villa who aren' really having a fantastic season would hammer the Old Firm. I haven't heard of half of the players of the Celtic team and I live in Paisley!!

Agree0 Disagree0

You're right - Glasgow could compete with Nth England/Midlands - there's Salford, Moss Side, Cheetham Hill, Anfield, Dingle, Middlesbrough, Coventry etc etc - yes, England's green & pleasant could easily compete with Govan, Easterhouse, Calton, Springburn, Castlemilk, Shettleston, Bridgeton, Dennistoun etc etc etc

What's with all the comments about saints not being able to afford the numerous players we've been linked to we have loads of money

Believable1 Unbelievable5

I agree were 4 or 5 richest club in the country

Agree0 Disagree0

I think your find its your owners that have the money, and they obviously dont want to spend it looking at your signings and who can blame them. if you were you would be challenging at the top of the prem, not falling away in the championship. you can't even spend the money you got for Chamberlain says it all really.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be stupid. We were bottom of league 1 with minus 10 points when the new owners took over just over 2 years ago. We are buying sensibly, recognising our league position/which league and without paying excessive t/f fees/wages with that in mind. We are not in the same league as say Chelsea or Man City and Leicester's league position is hardly inspiring, is it? SOME of our fans need to get real and SOME ignorant opposition fans need to gen up on our recent history before spouting nonsence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well stop draging you have loads of money when clearly you haven't

Agree0 Disagree0

Well stop saying we don't have the funds to buy the players we've been linked to cos we clearly do. Good Prem league players rarely drop down a league, sensible clubs don't pay Prem league wages in the Championship and only stupid clubs pay excessive transfer fees simply cos the money is available. Ever heard the saying 'more money than sense'.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Who cares the fact is that he feels Scottish. And wants to play for us,even if it meant having to go through the under 21 team to do so.He is not like some English players.Who wait till they are 25 to find out that England does not want them. And they come and play for us.Rhodes will be respected cos he is not like that.Josh McEachran could learn a lot from him. Both his parents are Scots, not like Rhodes. And he is playing for the England under 21 team.I would have thought that he would have felt Scottish to.He should look at Gabby Abonglahor, and think fast.He could have played for Scotland to,and made a international carer and play more games.Instead he picked England, and is out of the picture now.He could have played for Nigeria to.Ally
