Watford manager Zola has been told that udinese are set to bring in some big signings after a poor season, leaving little for watford and not to expect any significant transfer budget.

Steve Evans wants to add 2 strikers to his side this season that he feels can fire the millers to automatic promotion. The following players have all 100% had talks with Rotherham but I don't think a deal for any of them is particularly close:
Dani Lopez - Stevenage
Matt Tubbs - Bournemouth
Marcello Trotta - Fulham
Lyle Taylor - Falkirk
Rory Donnelly - Swansea

Evans is also interested in opening talks with a few other players before he decides who to pursue and who is the top of his pecking order. I have been told the other players he is interested in are Tyrone Barnett of Peterborough, Calvin Zola of Burton, Jamie Vardy of Leicester and Liam Boyce of Cliftonville. People might not believe this due to the large number of names mention but Evans is intent on keeping his options open and getting the best value for money possible. I don't have a clue which of these will sign but I fully expect that 2 of the above bunch will in the coming weeks.

I see lee cry baby clarke is still blubbing about getting the boot at huddersfield, he never passes a chance to have a dig at the club with comments like novak has moved to brum as a career move and finishing 12th last season beats the 43 game unbeaten run at huddersfield. there there lee go and sit in the dark and stop sulikng.

It won't affect us at all, it's just closed the door behind us. We'll sign them all on free transfers and bolster it with a few additions and be fine.

In fact we voted for it. It suits us just fine it stops other clubs doing the same.

I'm fed up of hearing about £100,000 a week for Andy Carroll at West Ham! You have got to be joking? This sounds like we are going back to the times when Magnusson was in charge and look at the mess he got us into. FOr gods sake, has nobody at Upton Park got any sense. Don't bow down to this person who only wants Newcastle or Liverpool. Spend the money wisely elsewhere on a player that actually wants to join West Ham. what's next? Is Carroll going to ask for £120,000 a week

I'd sooner burn £100k a week than pay that lowlife "footballer".

Southend's wantaway defender Ryan Cresswell will not be playing for southend next season. He's desperate for a return up north near his home town. Southend are looking to cash in at around £100,000 for the cb who signed on a free from rotherham at the start of last season

Andy Carroll recently held talks with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers before he left on vacation, and the former Swansea and Reading manager did bring up the cases of Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing who have come back at Liverpool, after seemingly having their careers be over after Brendan came in last summer.

The good news for Andy is that the Liverpool manager is open-minded, but the type of striker Andy is just doesn't fit with the style of play at Liverpool at the moment, and that's unfortunate.

It's a pity Newcastle can't get the Geordie lad back on Tyneside, but it's not to be as Liverpool and Newcastle can't agree over a fee, and there's even a chance Carroll could stay at Liverpool.

That could happen, but Andy will need to think of his England career, and will need to be playing regularly next season if he is to force his way into the England World Cup squad.

West Ham are just not his home town club, which seems to be his number one choice this summer.

Bournemouth have had a bid rejected by burnley for danny ings. Not sure what the bid was but i'd guess around the 1million howe bought him for at burnley.

According to the morning papers gonzalo bueno & saber khelifa have been targeted by Southampton

Dont know much about Khelifa but Bueno is one of the hottest youngsters in world football and has been dubbed the new luis suarez. Hopefully that's his playing ability rather than anything else

Nathan Redmond looks class! I really hope Hughton uses his connections and brings him in! I think 4-5 mill or 3.5mill + Butterfield or Murphy's on loan for a season should be enough. Would happily have 8-10k a week and also with Prem experience and very young, possibility to sell him on for 15-20mill when a big club come calling.
