think we could do with a couple of strikers, Jones from Stoke or a pacy striker such as Maynard from Bristol City. In terms of defence we've been linked with Nedum Onuoha from Man City, could do with a right back depending onn when Zubar is fit.

Billy will only go to a team that has a chance of top flight football next season. I have no doubt he will leave Doncaster, but look no further than Wigan, Fulham or West Ham. The only reason he would go to Hull or Leicester is to improve his salary as they will still be championship sides next season. Leeds have no chance, as a Sheffield lad he will have an intense dislike of them.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Hull can't afford him and he won't go to mid table leicester, money isn't that important to him, playing in a team thats competing every week in the top flight or top end of the championship is more important to him

Agree0 Disagree0

He will go where the pies are I'm from Sheffield and support Leeds so you are talking s**te mate ps how many donny fans does it take to change a light bulb - both of them lol

Swindon Town Latest

Wes Foderingham has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.

Lots of reports that Swindon have had a bid in the region of £350,000 accepted for Barnet's Izale McLeod.

They will also be looking to place a bid for Gillingham winger Luke Rooney, but NOT as a replacement for Matt Ritchie who wants to stay with Swindon.

(Also some of the comments below about Swindon being poor financially is completely false, they have one of the richest boards outside of the Premier League!)

Kenny claims we are close to making an announcement on a new signing but probably not in time for Saturday.

If you listen to his interview on commercial enterprise he has spent some time in London this week and infers its a loan signing. His priorties are a defender and a creative striker.

Over to you Craigieboy which players are available for loan from London clubs.

He flew to London yesterday and watched a match (afternoon Reserves, presumably, as he flew back in evening).

Spoke to two players.

To the Leeds fan who said that Snodgrass wouldn't go as he still has 18 months on his contract and would sign a new one if the right wages were offered and if u get promoted. Norwich are gonna stay up and if I was Snodgrass I would go to Norwich as he will get prem footy which he deserves as he is quality. As for price I think in the region of £3.5m-£5m. I also think he will go to Norwich as Bradley Johnson went there. From a Brighton fan who lives in Norwich.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Norwich is small and insignificant, Snodgrass was offered the chance to play for Barcelona and Celtic, but he turned them down for 1st team football. Unlike most footballers he has his head screwed on and knows that if your playing in a 1st team squad for a massive team then you don't leave.
Norwich will only stay up due to the inferior quality of the premiership. It is full of non ambitious teams that are just there to make up the numbers (Norwich included). A league where Titus Bramble, Wes brown and Bradley Johnson can play 1st team football only proves my point. Johnson was useless in championship, all he does is run around with no objective and fire shots at the fans in row 'Z'. If he can make it in your team then Snodgrass is far above the quality of your club.

As a Liverpool fan I think we need to realize that we cant compete with the spending power Man city , PSG etc , I think the most we could do it the odd £30 million every two or three seasons , instead after we try and get soldado try and pull of more deals like that of Enrique buy underrated players who could prove to be amazing deals or if they're a flop its not to bad because its now a massive amount spennd on then, I have a few players in mind who could be good if just a little faith is given to them , Flamini , Misimovic ( maybe a bit old ) bangera , thiago motta would be good as cover for lucas .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The squads not to bad now. To be fair we have been unlucky this season although I really don't like the look of downing as he can't seem to cross and his shots are pretty naff he started out well but confidence is well down. And Adam was just an average player at a poor team! We need 2 world class players! I do believe Carroll and hendo will come good though. I really think aquallani deserved a chance but for some reason never got it

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Absolute rubbish, city need a reliable striker not another top class midfielder. They already have Silva, Toure, Johnson, Milner, De Jong, Barry and Nasri, the only reason they would sign De Rossi is to replace Yaya Toure for a month (seems like a waste of money.)

Blackburn boss Steve Kean, has been handed over £20 million to spend in January as Venky's want to prove to the footballing world that Rovers are serious about staying in the Premier League.
Kean is aiming at bringing up to three attackers as well as a midfielder to try and keep Rovers up with a push into breaking into the top 10.
Aron Gunnarsson of Cardiff City, is subject of a £2.5 million bid from Kean. The Iceland international only joined the Welsh capital club in the summer but has put a number of top performances in this season.
The first striker to join is set to be Freddie Sears. The West Ham youngster is expected to jump at the chance to move back to the Premier League and could sign a four year deal.
Doncaster Rovers attacker El Hadji Diouf, who recently stated that he has forgiven Steve Kean over an argument in the summer whilst they were both at Blackburn. Diouf is keen on a move back to the Premier League and would take another chance with the North West side.
The final striker in talks with Kean is Wigan forward Franco Di Santo. Di Santo has impressed Kean this year and a deal worth around £5 million is expected to go through before the end of January.

Believable0 Unbelievable4

The majority of this is rubbish, I doubt we'd sell anyone, apart from loans (and excluding a stupidly large bid for someone). In terms of ins Norwich will probably try to get Naughton on a perm, although Spurs will want a decent amount so we may just extend loan. Gunters been linked woth almost every team outside the top six, so he's unlikely as well.
Remember we dont have much money, and Lambert doesn't tend to buy big players.

Jewell is keen to strengthen his squad for the second half of the season following a return of just seven points from a possible 36 – a run which leaves the Blues hovering precariously above the relegation zone.

"I've spoken to two managers and one player since Monday's game," said the Blues boss.

"I think things will happen after the weekend (Ipswich are at Hull in the FA Cup third round on Saturday). We're hoping to have a couple of new faces in for the Birmingham game."

One of those players is St Ledger, with the other unknown at present.

Jewell is still keen to sign midfielder Keith Andrews following his impressive loan spell from Blackburn, but says the Irishman isn't one of the two players he hopes to have by next week.

The Blues also rubbished rumours linking him with Alan Smith (Newcastle), James Henry (Millwall) and Julian Speroni (Crystal Palace.

Let's put an end to all this nonsense. 1p5wich have a much better history than Norwich - they have won 3 trophies we will probably never win. However, the last of those was in 1981, and since that time (despite a flook season in 2001) NCFC have been the better club. Our late 80s and early 90s team was exceptional, regularly challenging for trophies (3rd, 4th and 5th placed league finishes, 2 FA Cup semis).

The fact is, poor 1p5wich fans, you are in big trouble and when we were there three years ago, you loved it. On the other hand, we are getting better and better. As long as Lambert stays the boys down south will never eclipse us.

Wigans attendance and RM judas -Well for a start Wigans attendances are ok for a small northerrn town. The only reason people criticise is because they dont fill their 25000 stadium. If they had a 16000 stadium and filled it nothing would be said. EG Blackpool .As for the judas jibe GROW UP . Do a lot of Swans fans forget he started the revolution at Swansea and without him you would still be in the lower leagues. People move on in life and work , get over it . Just for the record every club that gets promoted gets tipped for relegation, dont take it so seriously . Wigan have been tipped every year and it might just happen this season. But please get back to me when you have been in the prem for 7 years and I will congratulate you. Until then dont be so arrogant .

West Ham to make a bid for Jason Puncheon.

Millwall to sign David Cotterill from Swansea.

Charlton to sign John Bostock and Dean Parrett from Spurs , Anthony Wordsworth from Colchester and their former youth player Danny Shittu from QPR .--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wordsworth will be going nowhere this window unless someone can pay a considerable sum of money. Charlton do not have the funds for him. - Robbie Cowling.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are charlton signing them permanently ? and where did you hear that from ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes they do, Charlton have not spent any of their transfer budget for the season as all signings were financed as part of the Jenkinson to Arsenal deal. Colchester could not afford to turn down a £300k bid, especially on below 5,000 crowds.

I know we should be above all this carrot talk but if you'll pardon the pun its makin me blow me top! Nofolk may produce a lot of carrots but we don't eat any more than anybody else. You can use the produce of any geographical area against its inhabitants but sorry Guvnor, half of Norfolks carrots are probably ate by the cockneys. As for what you produce lots of. Well, tons of it enters the North sea via the Thames on a daily basis. Would be low to make comparisons there, but i think we'll just stick to our carrots guv. I thank you!

Whats this about the size of Norwich's trophy cabinet? I won't go into size. The other day i saw a tiny blue rubber object washed up on a Norfolk beach. I dont need to wind my neck in I was just stating fact .I wasnt slagging Swansea off I ws just saying dont get carried away , but as with anything Wigan alot of Swans fans seem to have a big chip on their shoulder due to the RM factor . I do agree you finishwhere you deserve and if that means Wigan are relegated so be it .Thats football you have good and bad times , its not life and death and I'm sure if it happens I will get over it. As for past glorys if you knew anything you would know Wigan dont have many of note , but getting in the prem and staying for 7 years I am proud. Then theres the bankrolling . All clubs that get into the prem have been bankrolled to a certain extent , even Swansea.(Although I will say Blackpool's achievment amazing on their budget .) Again though I agree Wigan would not be where they are without DW. He has though since RM joined the club cut back on his financing of the club . Granted he has written off all club debt , but wage and transfer budget has been slashed so that the club now runs on realistic finances . To buy players have to be sold so over the past few seasons this so called bankrolling out of relegation is just rubbish. JRF

Norwich do have 2 league cups in their trophy. The competition used to still mean something back in the 80's. It's a real pity we didn't hold on to win the title in 93 as we were 1st for most of the seson. And we made the semi finals of the UEFA in 94. When you support a club like Norwich you hold onto these things cos lets face it, with the money in todays game we can predict the top 3 from 6 clubs. If we can ever challenge for Europe again it will be incredible, but take any Norwich fan back 2 seasons and we'd take top half of the prem no bother. Will we be there in May? Derby boss Nigel Clough, is keen on signing Saint Etienne midfielder Gelson Fernandes on loan. The Swiss international is keen on a return to England and is a free transfer in the summer.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

That would be the same Gelson Fernandes who has just returned to his parent club after his season long loan at Leicester was cancelled by mutual consent? He hasn't settled and asked to leave after Pearson made it clear he wasn't required.

So...

He's possibly available now on loan, not as a free in the summer, and he has had enough of England and wants a move abroad, otherwise, spot on, well done.

Watford have made a bid for St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza. The Spanish attacker has impressed a number of Championship followers after scoring nine goals in 15 appearances.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

There is a vast, vast difference in scoring goals here in Scotland than scoring as many even in League 1 down south, never mind the Championship. We play each other so frequently that any striker that cannot total 15-20 goals per season can be deemed as inept - beware Sandaza's very injury prone.

To the Swansea fan . This is the Swans first season and they are doing well , good passing team . Staying in for any length of time is very tough , especially if the club you support does not have large finances or abig fan base . My team Wigan have stayed in the prem for 7 years , which by anyones standards is remarkable considering finances etc .When you have been in for 7 consecutive seasons then you may be able to start bragging . JRF Wigan and Proud .

You are joking mate? Considering your average attendances, how much has dave whelan bankrolled you for? without his money you would have been relegated long ago.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got to agree with the above comment, Dave Whelan has bankrolled you to safety how many times? It ain't gonna happen this season fella, by the way you can keep Roberto Martinez the Judas as well, best thing that ever happened to the Swans for him to go!! Especially has he got you to pay 2 million for Jason Scotland...

Darren Bent to join Liverpool for £30m straight cash + first in line to get Joe Cole when he returns in the summer.

Drogba to join Villa then for £3m & Lucas Barrios for £5m, also a loan of 2 months for Robbie Keane.

3 strikers in for £8m & 1 out of form striker out for £30m - bargain!

Leaving Villa capable to sell other players to create wage funds to spend the remaining £22m.

Just a fact for you all;

Norwich have the least debt out of all the teams in the PL.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Thats because you dont pay out big wages, as you have not got any big players and you have a tiny dolls house as a stadium,a championship ground.

It's funny how people are saying stuff about norwich having no fans (25,000+ season ticket holders ane sell out crowds) and not winning anything (League 1(09-10) Championship runners up(10-11) and Championship Champions (04-05) So get your football facts right or stay quiet.

Brighton fan you may be but someone who knows anything about football you are NOT. Southampton dominated the first half so not sure what game you were watching?! You got lucky with the ball crossing the line decision and the sending off, take a chill pill and lets see where you are at the end of the season.
