Martin Cranie to turn down an improved contract offer from Coventry City to move to Leicester City

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Leicester you can dream on, why would he move to a club like Leicester when he wont be played as they buy someone new every year and they have no decent prospects of getting promoted. He wont stay at Cov though unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

Preston have are obviously trying to mount a similar challenge as charlton did which will be hard to do so especially when their manager is so boring and predictable. Preston are turning into a group of over achieving Stevenage players (non-league players) i know they had a poor squad this season but the squad being put together, i have a feeling that it will disappoint alot of people. There isnt enough quality. Second rrate. Play offs at best.

Agree or Disagree but this is a genuine question.
Would Grant Holt,Arron Lennon and Adam Johnson not be a better bet than Downing,Henderson and Carroll? One had 2 good games in last month of season,2 were total flops in the season!!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Not Grant Holt!!

Rickie lambert instead of holt but yes johnson in and crouch instead of carroll lennon is rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Holty is miles better than carroll...

Agree0 Disagree0

I am sorry if you honnestly think Holt deserves a chance then so do Ricky Lambert he scored 27 goals, granted in the Championship and Danny Graham he scored 12 goals only 3 behind Holt. Dont get me wrong i am not surgesting these two should be in the England team. All i am saying if Holt in your opinion deserves a chance the so do these 2 in my opinion.

I am a Reading fan and a very excited one. Back in the Premiership again, and loads of rumours, money to spend, and I am not one of deluded these fans who thinks we are going to be in the Champions League final in three years, but when you look at all of the managerial changes and players going in and out of clubs, I can really see Reading being mid table at the end of next season. Swansea, Norwich, Southampton, West Ham, West Brom, Stoke, Wigan, Fulham, Sunderland, Liverpool (Don't think BR will do much at Anfield), Everton, Villa ... Reading are quite capable of taking points off of all of these teams, and last time we were in the Premiership, the only team we did not take points off was Arsenal in our two seasons there. Don't write us off. The good times are coming.

Believable1 Unbelievable4

You wont sign any top players because they dont fancy flogging their guts out to finish mid table at best, the only games you will play in europe is swansea, and nobody wants to live in dreading

This is not a rumour but mostly opinions...
Brendan Rogers:
Liverpool fans need to stick with him, he will do a good job for you but it won't happen overnight you fans need to realise that you are not the force that you were 30/40 years ago and never will be if you choose to keep changing mangers, he will have a three year plan and needs the time to see it out.
It's all ready evident what manager changes do, with two manager changes in recent seasons' you have gone from champions league qualifiers to a side that struggled, and just managed a top 10 finish and were lucky to beat a championship side in a cup final.
Have patience.
You may be lucky, can't see Carroll getting much game time any more, Suarez will probably be joined with another quality wide man for the other flank and a good striker who can play football on the deck.
As for Rodgers raiding Swansea pool fans should not be worried because if he did take anyone they would be good enough...Vorm, Williams, Allan, dyer and Sinclair could all do a good job for Liverpool but I don't think it will happen.
Best buy he will make for you which will probably affect Swansea is Caulker, in my opinion, one of, if not the best centre half in the league
From a Swansea fan point of view I'm gutted, just heard that he has taken 3 of the back room team with him which I wasn't expecting..the only thing that has disgruntled me is the fact that two weeks ago he said no thanks and that he still had business at Swansea but then takes the job two weeks later..but deep down with everything that he has done for the club I wish him all the best (still think that it may be the wrong choice though, November in Merseyside with 40,000 scousers booing you is hard to take if things are not going well, nothing like 20,000 Elvis impersonators at the fortress liberty!!, he could miss Swansea more than we miss him).
My only concern is that he now persuades gyllfi to go with him and that will be a bit Naughty, if he does he will probably turn every jack against him instantly, leave him with us and come back for him in a couple of years when pool are back in the champions league for 2/3 times what we paid for him.
Next managers for Swansea:
Holloway: NO
Bruce, McCarthy, McLeish, : Please NO NO NO!!
Poyet: Maybe
Soskjaer: Yes
Grahame Jones: Yes
Martinez: Yes but probably not
Di Matteo: Yes but probably a long shot

I said in January if Lambo does go, which, even as a 15 year old I know will happen soon, I want old Norwich player Malky Mackay or then Leeds manager Simon Grayson. What do you think odds on getting one of them?

And if Lambo does leave, he deserves a bigger club than Villa, but he will always be loved by Norwich. 3 years ago halfway during the League 1 season, at a reserves match @ Stevenage, him and the NCFC head coach and Ian Culverhouse said they'll never forget my real name, it's quite...weird. OTBC!

Norwich City fan here:

I have been reading some of your fan related sites for the last couple of weeks, to gauge your fans response to the likely new manager.

It seems to me that some of your fans don't rate Paul Lambert.

Although i don't want to see PL leave Norwich i can honestly tell you that you will have the right man for your club if your lucky enough to get him.
When he took over our club we were in a worse state than you are currently in and he has transformed Norwich and has made the fans smile again.

He plays attractive attacking football, but is tactically aware enough to change during a match when things are not going well. Some people seem to think we play "Hoofball" well we played Arsenal and Spurs off the park this year, playing attacking football at thier own grounds, not something that the Current Villa squad could boast.

For me and i am biased he should have won the PFA manager of the Year.

I hope he stays at Norwich City but i am realistic enough to know that the pull of Villa may just be to much to turn down.

good luck Paul Lambert and to Villa.

Even as a young Norwich fan, I admit, Lambert will be off soon. He's a incredible manager, but, why would he leave Norwich for Aston Villa, a club who are in massive debt and lost most of their best players, like Young, Barry and Heskey, and Petrov is out for a while due to his cancer.

Yes, Lambo will be off soon. But for Aston Villa? No, I don't think so.

Huddersfield are trying to rob carlisle of former midfielder james berret. Berret is currently out of contract as of the end of june, and has yet to sign the new contract offered to him by carlise. As the player is under 24 town will have to pay a compensation fee, town hoping to get him for as little as 200k. Grayson see's him as the perfect ball playing midfielder town have missed this season, whilst also chipping in with assists due to his expertise in set piece situations.

Hardly robbing Carlisle. Previous management stupid to let him go. It would just be coming back to where he learnt his trade.
