Andrei Arshavin has agreed terms with Anzhi Makhachkala and is set to sign for the up-and-coming Russian team for £8.5m on a 3 year deal. The Russian has struggled to break into the Arsenal first team, and is hoping to have a fresh start back in his home country.

England supporters don't give a toss what happens to scotland they care about ENGLAND whereas scotland supporters care about who England are playing , can't you see this or are you totally blind. Well said ed quite right the only reason scottish fans watch England is to support the opposition cos they have not got scotland to watch and the bitterness overcomes them. In all my time watching football England fans don't give a toss how scotland do, win or lose, we care about England unlike scotland as i said before support anyone but. My biggest hatred ever was seeing 6 scotland fans wearing Argentina shirts just after the war. What about the two England fans,at the Germany game.Dressed up as WW2 Battle of Britain fighter pilots?I thought that was pretty disgusting myself.When it was not just English guys that fought in that battle.It was fought bye men and women from all over the world.And not only did that sully there memories.It was also a attempt to antaginise the Germans.Your leaders make laws on these things.And never enforce them against there own.England games are on in Scotland.As the scedules are run in London.Scots are not interested in your team.We should have our own games on all the time.And we are lucky to get games on live.It happens very rare on terrestial TV.I have never saw any Scots fans in Argentina strips.Saw a few in Ireland ones though.And a few in Italian ones.As they are there 2nd teams,down to there ancestry.I have even saw a few in England tops.When we are playing Celtic in the derby.And that is as disgusting as them wearing Argie ones.Diss honering the dead,just like those England fans in South Africa.Ally

Happy new year max and ed's. Ally i think you walk about with your eyes shut mate. So you expect England fans to dress up as Poles ok no problem. England games are not on STV theres usually a s**t film on instead, and if your not interested in OUR team why do u support everyone we play, well i'll have to stop drinking in Inverkeithing as I obviously was seeing things i know an argie shirt when i see one trust me i've been up close and personal with them 1982 !

The were not dressed up as Poles.And they dont dress in the uniforms,whenthey play Poland.They do it when playing the Germans,to try and cos trouble.As that is all that they know.England games are shown in Scotland.If there shown in England,that is a fact.English cricket is also shown in Scotland regulary,when nobody that is a Scot is interested in it.We are not even interested in our own team.They have never been on the BBC,from what I have scene to.BBC just looks after 350 000 English people living in Scotland.And neglects 5.2 million Scots.Sad but true and that is a fact.Happy new years anyway to you all.Ally

i think that stoke are better than newcastle and will finish above them at the end of this season

Hope so aswell as sunderland, villa, fulham, everton, QPR,Wolves, Swansea,Norwich, been honest want the geordies to do a blackpool and get relegated but as long as they finish in the bottom half I'll still be happy

Better at what, surely not football? I have watched a few stoke games this year and been amazed how little football is actually played. From making the pitch smaller to wearing towels under their uniforms, they do everything they can to avoid playing the ball in the middle of the pitch. What they do may work (long season), but it isn't football and i don't care where they finish (have no hate or love for them), but there is noway they are a better footballing side than most of the teams you listed.
